A.J. Brown

NegativeValue93:45

The source was willing to take a discount on AJ Brown in the 5th/6th round, viewing him as a tournament-format asset for the end of the season despite the 4-6 week injury timeline.

Insight page

Adonai Mitchell

PositiveBreakout117:32

The source believes Adonai Mitchell would have had a monster game if the game script hadn't shifted, noting his high separation score and potential for future production.

Insight page

PositiveBreakout95:53

The source identifies Antonio Williams as an 'upward tick' player in the Commanders' passing game and suggests he is a player to keep an eye on.

Insight page

Ashton Jeanty

PositiveValue17:26

Despite injury concerns, the source aggressively targeted Ashton Jeanty in the second round once it appeared he would be healthy for the season.

Insight page

Blake Corum

PositiveBreakout74:28

The source remains very bullish on Blake Corum, noting that he looked really good in his game and is expected to come through for fantasy managers.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper123:48

The source remains bullish on Blake Corum, noting that he looked good in his limited action and is expected to contribute as the season progresses.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

NegativeValue92:20

The source was split on Brock Bowers following his injury; some avoided him due to long-term knee concerns, while others targeted him at a discount in the 5th round to build unique roster combinations.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

PositiveValue23:27

Caleb Williams is one of the source's primary quarterback targets, appearing on 90% of their fantasy teams.

Insight page

Carson Wentz

NegativeRole87:58

The source notes Carson Wentz looked good in relief but warns he lacks a feel for the pass rush and could be exposed if he remains the starter for too long.

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveValue43:20

The source identifies Christian Watson as a highly owned player in their portfolio, noting they were consistently ahead of ADP on him during drafts. Despite a rough Week 1 for the Packers offense, the source remains bullish on his potential for a top-10 wide receiver season, citing his strong start and the quality of the Green Bay offense.

Insight page

Courtland Sutton

NegativeUsage80:53

The source expresses concern regarding Courtland Sutton's outlook following Week 1, noting that the Broncos' offense features more mouths to feed than previously anticipated. The source suggests that players like Evan Ingram and others are cutting into the target share, making Sutton a player to avoid.

Insight page
NegativeRole81:40

The source expresses concern regarding Courtland Sutton's role in the Denver offense, noting that he was off the field for certain packages in the third quarter and that the emergence of Pat Bryant could negatively impact his target share.

Insight page

D.J. Moore

PositiveUsage91:43

The source notes that DJ Moore has consolidated the Bills' passing offense and expresses satisfaction with acquiring more shares of him after being late to the market.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

PositiveUsage15:29

D'Andre Swift saw 19 touches in the Bears' Week 1 game, which the source highlights as a significant takeaway from the Bears-Panthers matchup.

Insight page

Dalton Kincaid

PositiveValue67:04

The source highlights Dalton Kincaid as part of a third tier of tight ends that provided significant value for those who waited on the position. Along with Dallas Goedert and Isaiah Likely, Kincaid is viewed as a potential 'family feeder' at the position after a strong Week 1 performance.

Insight page
PositiveValue91:43

The source is highly bullish on Dalton Kincaid, noting his role in consolidating the Bills' passing offense and confirming they have 'backed the truck up' for him with 70% ownership in recent drafts.

Insight page

Davante Adams

NegativeUsage94:19

The source expresses concern over Davante Adams' usage inside the ten-yard line, noting he was only on the field for one play in that area during the game, which is a significant departure from his previous high-volume red-zone role.

Insight page

David Montgomery

PositiveUsage99:16

The source is impressed with David Montgomery's usage, noting that despite a split with Jahmyr Gibbs, Montgomery remains the primary goal-line back and the team is committed to using him in that role.

Insight page

DK Metcalf

PositiveProjection119:06

The source is encouraged by DK Metcalf's week one performance, citing his air yards and role as the clear number one receiver, and expects him to have big weeks ahead.

Insight page

Drake London

NegativeBust81:01

The source identifies Drake London as a sell following week one performance.

Insight page

Drake Maye

NegativeBust79:13

The source is selling Drake Maye, citing the six-week loss of AJ Brown and a lack of reliable receiving options (Romeo Doubs and Mack Hollins). Unless Maye provides 70-80 rushing yards weekly, he will not pay off his QB2 price.

Insight page

Evan Engram

PositiveUsage82:04

Despite being overlooked in drafts, the source notes that Evan Ingram is still a factor in the Denver offense and is expected to be involved throughout the season.

Insight page

J.J. McCarthy

NegativeDepth Chart89:46

The source reports that J.J. McCarthy is considered uncoachable and has too much ego, leading to his demotion to QB3 behind Carson Wentz.

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

NegativeProjection10:34

The source notes that Ja'Marr Chase historically underperforms in Week 1, often putting up low point totals before starting his production in Week 2.

Insight page

James Cook

PositiveValue27:00

James Cook was a priority target for the source in the first round if they were unable to secure Bijan Robinson or Jahmyr Gibbs.

Insight page

Jaxon Smith-Njigba

PositiveBreakout7:27

The source identifies Jaxon Smith-Njigba as this year's Zay Flowers, a breakout candidate who was consistently highlighted throughout the summer.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

PositiveProjection85:24

Despite a poor week one, the source notes Jayden Daniels averages 25 points when playing a full game and possesses 40-point upside.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

NegativeUsage86:46

While the start was not ideal, the source remains optimistic about Jaylen Waddle, noting that the team is moving him around the formation and lining him up in the backfield, suggesting he will be a point of emphasis in the offense.

Insight page

Joe Burrow

PositiveProjection22:05

Joe Burrow was the source's QB2 overall and a primary target, with the expectation that he will finish as the QB1 despite a rough Week 1 start.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

PositiveBreakout74:28

The source remains very bullish on Jonathan Brooks, expecting him to come through for fantasy managers.

Insight page

Jordan Addison

PositiveRole76:08

The source fully faded Jordan Addison this season, arguing that the addition of Jalen Jennings and the presence of Justin Jefferson and T.J. Hockinson will relegate Addison to a deep-threat role, which is less valuable than his previous mid-range target share.

Insight page

Jordan Mason

PositiveValue75:14

The source felt comfortable starting Jordan Mason given his draft cost, viewing him as a reliable fill-in option compared to players who take several weeks to start performing.

Insight page

Justin Jefferson

PositiveValue17:14

Justin Jefferson was a primary target for the source in the first round, specifically in the 8-12 overall draft range.

Insight page
PositiveUsage77:56

The source is heavily invested in Justin Jefferson, noting that Kyler Murray is a one-read quarterback who will pepper Jefferson with targets all year long.

Insight page

Kalif Raymond

PositiveUsage58:51

The source identifies Kalif Raymond as a potential PPR asset who could disrupt the target shares of other Bears pass catchers like Rome Odunze and Luther Burden. Following an 8-catch, 84-yard performance on 9 targets, the source suggests Raymond could be a consistent '5 for 50' type player, comparing his potential impact to Parker Washington.

Insight page

Kendre Miller

PositiveSleeper110:14

The source highlights Kendre Miller as a valuable handcuff who saw increased playing time due to Etienne's injury and remains a player they own in many leagues.

Insight page

Kendrick Bourne

PositiveUsage58:51

Kendrick Bourne emerged as a significant factor in the Patriots' offense with 8 targets and 8 catches for 75 yards in Week 1. The source notes this performance disrupts the expected target hierarchy for other Arizona/Patriots pass catchers that drafters were heavily invested in.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

PositiveValue12:29

Kenneth Walker is the source's most owned player in the first three rounds, with three shares acquired in high-stakes drafts.

Insight page
PositiveUsage103:27

The source was blown away by Kenneth Walker's usage and performance in week one, noting that he is a player they regret not being overweight on and that he is a clear week one winner.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

NegativeBust81:01

The source identifies Kyle Pitts as a sell following week one performance.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

NegativeBreakout50:30

Despite concerns regarding injury risk and a low snap count in Week 1, the source remains high on Malik Nabers, having drafted him in the second round across multiple leagues. The source believes he is a difference-maker with significant upside in the second half of the season and was impressed by his speed and performance on film.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

NegativeBust81:09

The source is concerned about Marvin Harrison after a disappointing one-catch, 31-yard performance, suggesting he may not be the player expected.

Insight page

Matthew Golden

PositiveValue43:58

The source highlights Matthew Golden as one of their most-owned wide receivers, having consistently drafted him over players like Jayden Reed and Josh Downs. The source notes they were ahead of ADP on Golden and views his early performance as validating their draft strategy.

Insight page

Pat Bryant

PositiveBreakout87:24

The source highlights Pat Bryant as a major win from their draft season, noting his emergence in the Denver offense as a potential threat to other receivers' target shares.

Insight page

Rashee Rice

NegativeBust107:22

The source is highly critical of Rashee Rice, noting he looked bad throughout the summer and that his week one performance was saved only by a lucky touchdown on a short screen pass.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

NegativeRole82:42

The source views Rhamondre Stevenson as a good back but nothing special, noting he has only had four games with 55+ yards in his last 19 appearances.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

NegativeBust80:07

The source is worried about Saquon Barkley, noting the Eagles' offensive line is aging, falling apart, and no longer an elite unit, making Barkley a sell in the second round.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

NegativeUsage109:19

The source notes that Travis Etienne's usage was impacted by an injury, which allowed Kendre Miller to see more playing time, though Etienne still managed seven catches in the game.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

NegativeInjury8:15

Zay Flowers is dealing with an injury issue, and the source notes concern regarding the Ravens' pass offense overall.

3:45But Just The Way That These Last Couple Draft Days Went, The Board Changing So Much And You Had To Incorporate The
3:52Bowers Injury, Which We'll Talk About How Much That Changed The First Five Rounds Of Drafts.
3:58And Then The AJ Brown Issue And The Slow Games By Like Devontae Adams Or Puka.
4:04You Know, The Last Two, Three Draft Days Were Really Wild And Fun At The Same Time.
4:10Yeah, Definitely. Definitely. So Let's Just Start Off Talking About Draft Season, How It Went.
4:15I Want To Know, First Off, How Happy Were You With Your Teams?
4:19Any Players That You Aggressively Targeted? Any Players You Did A Full Fade On?
4:24And What Did You Think About The Results Of Week 1?
4:28Did You Feel Better Or Worse About Your Teams Than You Felt Prior To The Season?
4:34Matt, Why Don't You Lead Us Off On That?
4:37Yes, I Will. Just Real Quick, I Was Listening To Vissen Yesterday Afternoon.
4:42I Had A Chuckle At This. Mitch Marston Do A Great Show, Him And Paulie.
4:47He Said He Was Listening To A Podcast Earlier In The Day From Fantasy Points And They Said This Year's JSN Was Zay Flowers.
4:55And If You Listened To Me With Nelson Or Pauly For Three Months In The Summer, The One Guy I Kept Saying, JSN Is This Year's Zay Flowers.
5:05I'll Add Nico And Olave In There If They Can Stay Healthy As Well.
5:10Zay Also Dealing With An Issue. But No, I Feel Good About My Teams.
5:15See Look, It's Week 1. If You're Walking Away After Week 1 And You're Not Feeling Good About Your Teams, You Did Something Horribly Wrong.
5:24Did Everything Go A Long? According To Plan? No, I Have A Lot Of Teams.
5:29So Not Every Team Crushed. But You Needed To Avoid, You Know, Those 100 Or Minor Or Anything Like An 80 Or 70.
5:37You Might Be Done For The Year. You Know, Because There Was A Lot Of Points Scored.
5:43Oh, Whoa, Already? There Was A Lot Of Points Scored This Week.
5:47Wrap It Up. Throw In The Towel. That's It.
5:50No, But I'm Saying, If You Have A 78 Right Now, I Don't, I Mean You're Way Behind.
5:57Like You Really Wanted To Score A Minimum Of 130 This Week From All Those Scores That Got Posted.
6:03Am I Wrong? I Mean, I Don't Know. I Was Putting Up A Lot Of 150s, 60s, 70s.
6:10I Saw Everybody Else In My Leagues Were Doing That.
6:13So I'm Not Saying It's Over, But If You Posted A Low Number, You're In A Lot Of Trouble, Is What I'm Saying.
6:21Well, I'm Going To Say This. So I Have A Huge Amount Of Teams, Right?
6:26I Have A Lot Of Teams That Perform Very Well.
6:30There Are Some Teams That I Have That Scored Under 100, Okay?
6:34Those Teams Have Some Combination Of Like Jamar Chase With Colston Loveland On Them.
6:39And You Get A Quarterback That Didn't Perform All That Great Or Whatever That You Have Confidence In.
6:45It Can Look Ugly, But When You Look At The Lineup Itself, It's Like, Wait A Minute, Come On.
6:52Like These Guys Are Studs. Like You Know What I'm Saying?
6:56So That's The Only Thing Is Like There's Got A Little Bit Of Context.
7:01Yes, That's Fair. But Also, You Know, You Look At That Bucks-Bangles Game.
7:05I Mean How Many Times Did The Bucks Fumble The Ball?
7:09Like Four Times? That Really, That Was Just Crazy.
7:12But Again, Jamar Chase Every Year Puts Up Three Points Every Week One, Four Points, Six Points.
7:18I Don't Know. He Don't Start Until Week Two.
7:21I Mean Overall, As Far As My Targets, I Mean I Had A Lot Of Targets.
7:27I Had A Lot Of Fades. And It Really Depends Where You Were Picking.
7:32I, Fortunately, I Loved The First Half Of The Board.
7:35Probably Like 60-70% Of My Drafts Were In That Side.
7:39So I'll Focus More Towards The Back End Of The Draft.
7:43I Was More Apt To Go Double Running Back.
7:46And I Did It In A Couple Of Primes.
7:49I Did Gentey Walker, Chase Brown Walker. Walker's My Most Owned Player In The First Three Rounds.
7:55I Mean In The First Two Rounds, I Got Three Shares Of Him As A Running Back, Which, You Know, Just Happened To Work Out That Way.
8:05Three Shares Is Your Most Owned Player? In The High Stakes.
8:08You Know, I Did Like 12 High Stakes Yet.
8:12I Got Like 85 Drafts. But, You Know, I'm Not Doing 30 Like You Guys.
8:17I'm Sorry. You Know, Not Everybody. 30. Nelson Did 30 In Thursday And Friday.
8:22Yeah, Thursday And Friday Was 30. Go ahead, Matt.
8:25Go ahead. But, Like I Said. So, The Wide Receivers For Me In The Second Round Was A Must.
8:32Especially If You Were Picking In The First Half Of The Board.
8:36You Know, Guys Like Flowers, Pickens. Who Am I Leaving Out Here?
8:40Early Third Round. Lad McConkie Was A Guy I Was Expecting A Big Bounce Back.
8:45Hopefully Not Serious. But, Again, Even With Zay Flowers.
8:48Like The Ravens Offense Right Now, You Gotta Be A Little Worried With This Pass Offense.
8:54There's Jacoby Lane, Fraction His Wrist. Flowers, Hopefully It's Not Major.
8:58That's What They're Saying. Those Are The Guys There.
9:01Talking About Like The Fourth Round Running Backs, The Fifth Round Running Backs.
9:06We Started Early On With Nelson. I Think The First Draft.
9:09Montgomery Was A Guy Who Was A Gift To Go There.
9:13It's Week One. But, Again, He's In A Smash Situation.
9:17We All Thought. The One Takeaway Which I Do Want To Get Into, The Game I Want To Focus On, Bears Versus Panthers.
9:25I Think That Was Probably The Biggest Takeaway Game For Me.
9:29Bears Rushed For 300 Yards. Again, Swift And Monongai 19-12 In Touches.
9:33Monongai Actually Had Two More, Had One More Target, Which I Found Interesting.
9:38On The Flip Side, And The Bears Had Six Rushing Touchdowns.
9:41Amazing. Carolina, Coker Versus McMillan. That's A Huge Takeaway For Me There.
9:46McMillan Ran More Routes. But In Five Of The Last Seven Games, Coker Has Outscored Him.
9:51So, I Didn't Think The Defense Would Be That Bad.
9:55So, Maybe, You Know, We'll Go From There. We'll See.
9:58Maybe Bryce Is An Option. Okay? I Don't Know.
10:01I Was Hitting Some Things. Yeah, I Mean, All Right.
10:05That's Two Of The Whole Show, Jay. One Shot.
10:08Matt, The Topic Was What Players Were You In On?
10:12I Don't Know How We Went To Game By Game.
10:15I Mean, I Really Didn't Go With Game By Game.
10:19He's On A Roll. He's On A Roll. Let's Get Back To Our Draft Plan And Who We're In On.
10:26Is It Me Or Nelson's Turn, Dan? Go Ahead, Chris.
10:29You're Talking, So. All Right, Let's Start Right There In The First Round.
10:34I Had Two Main Targets. Justin Jefferson, I Wanted As Many Shares Of Justin Jefferson As Wide Receiver.
10:40That's Why Early In The Draft Season, I Was Comfortable Being In That 8-12 Round, 8-12 Overall Range.
10:46My Top Target Targets At Running Back Were Ashton Gentty And Omarian Hampton, Who Were My RB3 And RB4 Respectively Off The
10:54Board This Year After The Big 2 Of Bijan And Gibbs.
10:58Now, Everything Got Thrown In A Loop Weeks Ago When Gentty Went Down And That Really Started Messing Up With My Draft Plan.
11:06But What It Did Was Once The News Started Trickling In That Gentty Just Might Be Fine And I Was Able To
11:14Get Second Round Gentty Shares, Anytime I Could, I Was Taking It In The Last Week, Week And A Half Once It
11:21Looked Like It Was The Road Would Be Clear For Him.
11:25So, I Pulled Off A Lot Of Justin Jefferson Ashton Gentty Turns In This Past Week.
11:31That Was A Solid Week 1. That's What I'm Happy About Coming Out Of Week 1 With Those Guys.
11:37The Drafts That I Started Off Wide Receiver Heavy, Three Wide Receivers In A Row.
11:43So, I Did That Because I Loved Three Guys In The Fourth Round For These Last Three Weeks Of The Draft Season When The Mains Were Happening.
11:52DeAndre Swift, Brees Hall, And Travis Etienne Were My Targets.
11:56That Probably, You'll Probably See One Of Those Three If Not Two Of Them On Every Single One Of My Teams.
12:03I Thought That Was A Little Bit Of A Gift That We Were Getting With Those Three Running Backs In The Fourth Round To Build Off Of.
12:12Now, It Was Really The Way The Draft Board Was Landing, Right?
12:17I Really Wanted To Come Out Of The First Two Rounds With One Running Back And One Wide Receiver Just Because That
12:24Third Round This Year Was Loaded With Wide Receivers.
12:28And Again, You'll Probably Not Find A Team Of Mine Without Either Zay Flowers, Devonta Smith, Lad McConkie, Or Garrett Wills.
12:35Actually, I'll Back Up On Lad McConkie. He Was The Last Of That List.
12:40Jalen Waddell Is Who I'm Thinking Of. Jalen Waddell, Zay Flowers, Devonta Smith, And Garrett Wilson Were My Four Wide Receivers In
12:48The Third Round That I Took Every Single Draft.
12:51Jalen Waddell, Zay Flowers, And The Third Round, You Know, At The End Of The Third.
12:56And Then I Had To Get A Little Creative, Which I Tried To Do With Luther Burden And Tett McMillan.
13:03My Tight End Targets Were Simple. Anytime I Could Get Colston Loveland Or Tyler Warren In That Fourth End Of Fourth Early Fifth Round Range, I Did It.
13:13If Not, I Punted And Made Sure I Went After Dalton Kincaid.
13:17So Those Three Tight Ends Are My Three Most Owned Tight Ends.
13:22And At The Quarterback Position, It Was Pretty Simple As Well.
13:25Joe Burrow Was My QB2 Overall. I Don't Have More Than...
13:29I Have One Josh Allen Chair. Joe Burrow Was My Target That I Would Move Up In Anytime I Could Get Him.
13:37I Think He Will Be QB1. It Was A Rough Start In Week 1 Along With All The Bangles.
13:44So If You Have The Bangles Stack And Everybody Did The Bangles Stack This Year, The Burrow, Then Come Back With Chase,
13:51Come Back With Burrow In The Fifth, With T.
13:55Higgins In The Third, Whatever. You Guys Are All In 11th And 12th Place.
13:59All Of Us Are. It Was A Rough Week For The Bangles Stack.
14:04It Was A Rough Week For The Dallas Stack.
14:07But If I Didn't Get Burrow, I Waited. And My Three Quarterbacks That Are On 90% Of My Teams Are Caleb Williams,
14:15Trevor Lawrence, And Another Quarterback We'll Talk About More Later On, Justin Herbert.
14:19Okay So Those Four Quarterbacks Make Up 90% Of My Fantasy Teams.
14:24And That'S Pretty Much A Summary Of My Draft Season Right There.
14:28Alright Nelson. I'm Probably, I Mean I Can Go Either Based Off Of Like Draft Strategy And Who My Targets Were, But
14:36I'll Probably Just Go Off Of Like The Most Owned Players That I Have By Position.
14:41That'S Probably The Easiest Way. I Was Not Really Into Taking Like Early Quarterback For The Most Part.
14:47If I Took An Early Quarterback, It Was Usually Like Drake May When He Fell.
14:53I Wasn'T Like Necessarily Going Out Of My Way For Any Of The Early Guys.
14:58I Usually Pushed It Back And It Was Always That Sweet Spot Of Trevor Lawrence, Caleb Williams, Dak Prescott, Jared Goff, Herbert,
15:06I Got A Bunch Of Tyler Shuck, Baker Mayfield.
15:09So That Was Kind Of Like Where I Was At.
15:12I Was Looking To Take A Combo Of Those Quarterbacks.
15:16At Tight End, Again, I Wanted To Have, It'S So Many Teams, I Wanted To Have Exposure To Everybody As Much As Possible.
15:24That Could Be A Difference Maker. So I Do Have Some Bowers.
15:28Keep In Mind I Play Over At FFPC, Not Just NFFC.
15:32So Definitely Got Bowers, Got Some Loveland, Tyler Warren, Early Guys.
15:36But My Plan Pretty Much Always Fell Where I Was Pushing Back Tight End, Especially At NFFC.
15:42And That Was My Preference At FFPC, To Be Honest.
15:45And Right Now It Looks Good. Right Now It'S One Week.
15:49I Don'T Want To Get Too Excited. But My Most Own Tight Ends Are Kincaid, Likely, And Goddard.
15:55And They All Had Good Games. So That'S Nice To See.
15:59So Tight End Right Now After Week 1, I Don'T Feel Like I Have An Issue.
16:05But We'LL See How That Goes. We Know How That Goes Week To Week In The NFL.
16:11At Running Back, I'M Not Going To Bore You Guys With The Late Round Guys.
16:16But The Early Round Guys, It Was Basically A Mix.
16:20I Wanted James Cook In The First Round If I Couldn'T Get Gibbs Or Bichon.
16:25I Was Pushing Up James Cook. And Then If I Was In The Back Half, I Was Open To All Those Guys.
16:33But I Gravitated More To Chase Brown. Walker Was Another Guy That I Was Interested In Off To A Great Start.
16:40And Probably Saquon. My Least Owned Of Those Guys Was Definitely A-Chan, Hampton, And Gentty.
16:45Yeah. Nelson, It'S Funny Because I Wanted To Talk To You About This.
16:50I'M Sorry That I Jumped In. No, No, No.
16:53Go. It'S Funny Because We Usually Are On The Same Page In Terms Of Drafting And Players Each Year, I Feel.
17:00But We Were Complete Opposite On Running Backs This Year.
17:04You Know, Like My Two Guys Are Gentty And Hampton, You Seemed Like Your Two Guys That You Were Out On Were Gentty And Hampton.
17:13And The Guys That I Don'T Have Any Shares Of, Chase Brown, Ken Walker, James Cook, And Devin A-Chan.
17:19Like Three Of Those Guys Are Your Guys And I'M Out On Them.
17:24So It'S The Complete Opposite, You Know, As The Year Goes On, We'LL See.
17:29But I Thought That Was Pretty Funny. It Is Usually We'Re On, We'Re Very Similar.
17:34We'Re On The Same Guys And I Had Taken Notice Of That After, You Know, Doing It, Being In A Few Drafts With You.
17:42And It Was Actually Funny Because I Said To Myself, I Go, Usually, You Know, If I Can Pick And Choose, I
17:50Rather Not Be Next To Vaccaro In A Draft.
17:53Makes It A Little Easier Because We'Re Usually On The Same Players.
17:58This Year I Was Like, He'S Not Going To Bother Me With The Running Backs.
18:03So I Was Like... I Said The Same To Myself.
18:06Yeah, Yeah. Yeah, I Was Like, I'M OK. Like, Jefferson We'Re On, You Know, Definitely Like Jefferson.
18:12The Greek Disagrees With You, Nelson. That Must Have Been Some Team Turmoil In The Cabana Behind The Scenes.
18:19Because The Greek Was In On Gentie And You Were Out.
18:23Yeah, I Wasn'T In On Gentie. After Week 1, Do I Wish I Had A Little More Gentie?
18:29Sure, Absolutely. But, Yeah, There Was Definitely A Couple Of Guys.
18:33A-Chan And Gentie Stick Out. Hampton, I Actually Did, I Did Draft.
18:37Like, I'Ve Got Him On A Couple Of 5K Teams.
18:41So I Wasn'T Totally Out On Him. But I Just Have More Of The Other Guys.
18:46I Have A Question For You Guys. Just Because You'Re Talking Like Players And All That.
18:52Like, Do You Separate It? Like, I Separate It Between High Stakes, Which I Consider The Primes Or Mains, Versus The 350s, The OCs, And The Big Gorillas.
19:02So, You Know, I Might Have Like 14 Shares Of A Guy, But If I Only Have Three Of Them In Like
19:09A High Stake, So It'S 3 And 11. That'S How I Do It.
19:14Do You Guys Do It Similar? I Separate It By Dollar Amount, Which The NFFC Has Now.
19:20If You Go Under Player Shares, They Added The Investment Amount.
19:24Which Is A Great New Tool That NFFC Did.
19:27Oh My God, I Love Seeing That With The Money Amount Next To It.
19:32But Matt, To Be Honest, You Know, During Online Championship Season, I Will Not Move Any Of My Guys Up To Show My Hand.
19:40I Will Not Go Take Gentee 5 Overall In An Online Championship.
19:44You Know, I'LL Tell You Right Now, I Would Have Take Gentty As High As 4 Or 5 Overall When The Big
19:52Money Was On The Line The Last Two Weeks, If Nothing Ever Happened To Him, It Just So Happened That He Got
20:00Hurt, And I Didn'T Have To Do That. And I Just Sat There In The Second Round And Said, Okay, I'M Going
20:08To Take Him Every Time He'S In The Second Round.
20:11And That'S How I Separate It. You Know, I Was Just Curious Because Like For Me, It'S When I Get To The Higher Stakes, Right.
20:20I Look Like I Have Zero Shares Of Everybody.
20:23I Don'T Care If I Have 20 Shares Of A Guy In Like A 350.
20:28I Do It All Based On My High Stakes Teams, Matt.
20:32I Do It All Based On My High Stakes Team, Not My Online Championships, Correct?
20:37Yeah. All Right. Back To You, Nelson. Sorry, Go.
20:41Yeah. So, With The Running Backs, We Covered, That Was That Was Like The First Two Rounds Of Running Backs.
20:48And Then As We Moved Along, Like The Fourth, Fifth Round.
20:51I Definitely, I Wish I Got More Because He Looks Awesome, Is DeAndre Swift.
20:56But He Was Definitely A Target Of Mine. David Montgomery, A Target Of Mine.
21:01Stevenson. And Then Probably, Who'S The Other Guy? I Didn'T Mind Scadaboo.
21:05So, I Took A Little Bit Of Scadaboo. So, That Was Kind Of Like My Plan Based On How I Was Building My Teams.
21:14And Then I Would Push Back To The Next Tier Of Guys.
21:18And It Was Like The Blake Corums, You Know, Jordan Mason, Who Else?
21:23Marshawn Boyd. Jonathan Brooks. Yeah. I Tell You What, That Was A Terrible Week One Showing For Almost All Those Running Backs
21:30In That Range, Nelson, If You Look. And That Has Me Concerned.
21:35Mason Had An Okay Game. Chuba Hubbard Had An Okay Game.
21:38But Chuba Hubbard Really, None Of Us Were Really In On From What I Know.
21:44But That Whole Range Of You Know, Running Backs, The Corums, The Brooks, The Dobbins, The Pollards, The, You Know, All Those
21:51Guys In That Round 7 Through 10 Round Range.
21:55You Know, The Guys When You Build Heavy Wide Receiver Builds And Then You Try And Clip On RB2, It Didn't Look
22:02Good After Week One, Which Is Again, Why I Tried To Make Sure Like I've Been Doing The Last Couple Years Is
22:10Make Sure I Get A Solid RB2 And All Those Guys We Just Mentioned, I Wanted Them As My RB3.
22:17I Did Not Want The Corums And All Those Guys As My RB2 To Depend On And Get Stuck With A With
22:25A Three Point Game Or A Four Point Game In My Lineup.
22:29But Chris, But Isn't That Like With Those Guys, Those Were Upside Swings That We All Thought Were Going To Take A Little While.
22:37The Corums, The Brooks, Like I Thought Trevion Might Have Been The Biggest Winner After That Seattle Patriots Game.
22:44That Team Has Got No Juice Right Now. Yeah, Matt, Matt, 100%, They Are All Upside Swings, But I'm Not Living That
22:52Life Of Putting Them In My Week One Lineup And Depending On Them As My RB2.
22:57Yeah, no, no, But A Lot Of Them Weren'T Going To Be In Your Lineup, Though.
23:03Even If You Were Drafting Them There. Okay. I mean, I Was Putting Mason In There A Lot For Me And Unfortunately
23:11If You Had To Use Dobbins, That Was Just A Trainwreck Of A Game.
23:16But I'm Just Saying Those Weren't That Wasn't The Thesis Is Those Are The Guys That Are Going To Help You Win Your Leagues As The Season Progressive.
23:25Okay, But Who Were You Using As RB2? I Said, I Had To Say It Was Mason You Know, Sometimes Like I
23:33Said I Did Go Run About Back Run About Or I Had The One I Had Gibbs And I Took A Guy
23:41In The Fourth Or The Fifth Like Truth To Me Then That's Irrelevant My Point Is My Point Is Those Guys That
23:49We All Just Mentioned When You Build Your Teams And You Get A Brooks A Henderson A Quarums The Upside Picks Okay,
23:56You Then Followed It Up With A Dobbins Or A Pollard Or A Mason Or A Somebody As A RB3 And You
24:04Flip Them And Put RB2 On The Bench And Then Come In With Your RB3 They All Bombed That's My Point And
24:12That's Why I Wanted To Make For The Swifts The Halls The ETNs Were My RB2 And That Was My Style Of
24:19Draft Yeah, But On The Flipside Just To Have The Conversation Go If You Started Amon Ra Whoever In The Olave And
24:27You Gotta Say Flowers You You're Swinging It Big Today You Know So There Is Not At Your Running Back Position But
24:35You Scored Over 100 Points With Those Three Guys Right There So I Understand I'm Just Saying It's Not Like If You
24:43Didn't Have The Topic Was The Running Backs Though The Topic Was Running Backs Yeah Your Wide Receivers Went Off But Your
24:50RB2 Gave You Two Three Points My Point Was The RB2 To Me Isn't The Life Or Death Situation If You Were
24:58Stacked That If You Had The Good Running Back One Or You Had A Stacked Wide Receiver Group That's That's My Argument
25:06Here That That's That's That Makes Up A Majority Of My Teams Especially At NFFC That That's How I Built My Teams
25:13And That's Who I Have Heavy Exposure To So That's What We Were Covering Is Those Running Backs In The 6th 7th
25:218th 9th Round I Didn't Want To Play Around With Wide Receivers In That Range I Wanted I Take I Wanted It's
25:29It's An Uncomfortable Feeling For Most I'm Comfortable Building Teams That Way A Majority Of My Teams Have Four Very Good Wide
25:37Receivers So Like At The 3-4 Turn I Was Taking Christian Watson DJ Moore You Know Those Kind Of Guys At Receiver
25:44That Are Some Of My Highly Owned Players You Know They They Kind Of Make Up For That Five Point Six Point
25:52Game From Those Running Backs But I'm Just Giving You Guys Like What My Teams Look Like What The Makeup Is And
26:00Who I Have Heavy Exposure To Christian Watson Is Going To Be A Big Hit For You Nelson He Came Out The
26:07Gate Real Strong I Love That Offense And He Like Like He Was Ready To Have That Top 10 Wide Receiver Season
26:15How Crazy They Lost By 17 Yeah That Was A Wild Game Their Offensive Line Was Banged Up Going Into That Game
26:23And Flores Just Started Blitzing Every Play And They Just Couldn't Hold Up In The Second Half Is What It Came Down
26:31To And They Couldn't Adjust To It Was Weird Because Like I Felt At Times I Could Wait On Him Because I
26:38Knew I Was Ahead Of ADP On Him Is Matthew Golden So I Was Drafting Him A Lot But I Was Taking
26:46Him Over Reed And Some Other Guys But When I Sat Back And Waited He Was Kind of Like The Last Guy
26:54That Everyone Was Kind Of Interested In The Draft Room Out Of Him And I Wasn't Like Josh Downs You Know I
27:01Was Taking Golden Over Those Guys Week One Right Now It Looks Good So I'm Not Trying To Victory Lap Or Anything
27:09I'm Just Giving You He's Like One Of My Most Own Wide Receivers So Just Giving You Kind Of Like What The
27:17Exposure Looks Like With These Guys So Yeah Receivers Some Of My Most Own Guys Outside Of Golden And Godwin Those Were
27:25Those Were My Later Guys Like Sixth Seventh Round Eighth Round I Was Hammering Those Guys But A lot Of My Exposure
27:32Is To Early Round Wide Receivers Because As You Guys Know If You're In A Draft With Me I Was Going Three
27:40Four Wide On On A lot Of Teams Or Running Back In The First Two Rounds With You Know The Next Four
27:48Picks Or Wiver Yeah Guys I Know This Is Dan Do We Have To Hit A Break Or Can Get A Question

29:36Question Though And Yeah Listen How Did Guys Real Quick Two Things How Difficult Was The End Of The Season The Last
29:43Week At The Wide Receiver Position For You Guys Once That Second Round Of Receivers Basically Cleared Out Right We Had The
29:51Drake London The Quarterbacks Going Down Nobody Wanted To Touch Drake London AJ Brown Got Hurt It Just Seemed Neighbors Then The
29:59Question Marks About Neighbors It Completely Cleared Out The Early Second Round To The Late Second Round Of Wide Receiver How Did
30:07It Affect Your Draft Process And How Valuable Did It The One Hole Once And The Three Hole Twice And I Was
30:14Definitely Worried About The Shift With Bowers And AJ Brown Going Out And Then You Got The Quarterback Problems For Drake May
30:22Those Were All Things That Definitely Worried Me And The Way I Ended Up Shifting Was I Was Just Like You Know
30:30What I Think This Neighbors Thing Even If He Doesn't Play Week One It Short Term And I Ended Up Hammering Neighbors
30:37Took Him All Three Of Those Drafts I Happened Take The Same Guys You Like End Of Second Or The Early Third
30:45You Grab That Receiver Where It Did Make A Difference Was At The End Of Three Early Four You Know Those Guys
30:53Up But If You Like The Parker Washington I Never Understood Watson Was Still Like Mid To Late Fourth These Last Couple
31:01Of Days That Was Weird That Was The Odd Thing Yeah I Missed My One Pick Hole Like The Second Out Of
31:08The Eleven Hole And It Was A Gent Hampton Start With A Receiver In The Third And Then Clipped Watson Somehow Luckily
31:16Because Obviously You I We Wanted Taking Terry Who You Know Right Now Is A Little It Is A Little Scary Nelson
31:24Real Quick On What You Did With Receiver In The Second Round The Last Week It Neighbors Fell To The Third Round
31:31I Got Them 27th Overall One Time And I Was Like This Is Either Going To Blow Up The Team And Everything
31:39Or This Could Be A Steal I Didn't Love You Know I Don't Know How You Felt About Neighbors After Week One
31:47I Know A Snap Count Was Was Pretty Low You I Think I Think They're Going To Baby Him And But I
31:55Was Okay With That Because That Was My Mindset When Drafting Him Was That Listen I'm Going To Have To Take My
32:02Lumps With This Guy In The Second Round But He's Such A Difference Maker That In The Second Half Of Upside So
32:10He Looks Good I Mean He Looked Really Good He Looks Fast You Know That's What I Was I'm Not Worry Watching
32:18Those Video Clips Is I'm Like This Guy Just You Know Usually It's A Guy I Fade Coming Off Of An Injury
32:25Like That But I Said You Back In A Couple Of Weeks I Mean I Think London Top Five Receiver I Don't
32:33See How That You Know Based On Our Past Results We've Seen With Them Two Together Yeah I'd Be I Have You
32:41Know So Nelson In Saying That Nelson You Know So We Were Out On London Okay And Then You Lose AJ Brown
32:49So Like It Was Just Alave And Neighbors Pretty Much Either That Or Shift To An RBRB Start Or Wide Receiver RB
32:56You Know Yeah I Was Definitely More Interested In The Running Backs In The Second Round But They Didn't Stretch Past Once
33:04In A While Like If You Were Like In The Six Hole Right And You Either Got A Manra Puka Or JSN
33:12Right You You Were Guaranteed One Of Them Okay If You If You Went To Pick Six I Liked The Middle Of
33:19The Draft To The Number One Pick So Like Number One Through Six I Was Good With Because I Looked At I
33:27Prefer A Manra Over Those Guys That's How I Had It Ranked But I Was Okay With Either One Of Them Every
33:35Once In A While You Got A Walker Or Hampton To Slip A Little Bit Gentry But Very Rarely Like I Noticed
33:43The Guys In The Back Half Of The Draft They Stayed stubborn and and they said you know i'm not going to
33:50take a receiver i'm taking a running back so it what happened was neighbors kept falling and i was doing a lot
33:58of wide receiver wide receiver starts and i'm like shit at some point i gotta pivot because the ownership is getting uncomfortable
34:06uh because not just the fact that like you know neighbors with the injury risk and stuff it's just the fact that
34:13he could go out there and get hurt and now my second round pick is is toast so i needed to worry
34:21a little bit about it but it was neighbors and then i was willing to push up his a flowers and jalen
34:29wattle those were my uh those were my guys like the the next two guys that i was uh interested in which
34:37we'll get into jalen wattle as the show goes along go ahead i'm sure all right yeah dan um i'm i i'm
34:44i'm going to forego my draft results because we need to move on uh no don't lie dan your draft results are
34:52terrible that's what it is yeah yeah my drafts were all terrible you're right yeah now i was i was very happy
35:00with my uh teams i felt like i drafted and auctioned very well but uh i think i think most of what
35:07needs to be covered has already been covered there so uh let's let's move on to week one uh you know what's
35:15what's your bullet points from week one uh chris okay um i want to go a little you know something uh a
35:23little off topic i guess but um two offenses got affected greatly i thought um right off the bat and the two
35:31and by two names uh kalief raymond and kendrick born i'm sure you guys didn't see this coming from me as my
35:38first bullet of the week but this stood out to me for a couple reasons a all in on the bears offense
35:46this year and all in on caleb loveland rome who i loved by the way i should have mentioned him in the
35:54draft plan um and luther burden but what happened when you're drafting these four guys you don't plan on kalief raymond coming
36:01out with an eight for 84 game on nine targets to lead the way out of all the bears pass catchers but
36:09i think we should have saw this coming a little bit okay kalief raymond is actually on like my first three draft
36:17champions teams uh in june um there's something about when guys veteran receivers come over from a coaching you know like and
36:24that noah coach um and he him and ben johnson have that relationship uh kalief raymond could be somebody that puts a
36:32little bit of a wrench into uh this the other three here and be one of those like ppr guys we see
36:40it every year with a handful of wide receivers the darnell moonies of the world or whatever but kalief raymond just might
36:48be like that five for 50 guy that just plays a lot more than we thought he wasn't drafted in the first
36:5520 rounds um is he 20 or washington say that again dan i said is he the 2026 parker washington it's a
37:03great call he really could be and and it's gonna hurt the other three luther and rome and loveland a little bit
37:11um so kalief raymond stood out to me a lot this year uh this uh past week and opening week and kendrick
37:18born threw a wrench in the big three and i guess that's the the main bullet here is you had arizona who
37:26everybody loved michael wilson marvin harrison and trey mcbride because it was a you know the the past tree was relegated to
37:34those three same way the bears were and here comes kendrick born with eight targets and an eight for 75 so two
37:42guys that could vastly change two offenses that people were in on and drafted all three of these guys on these offenses
37:49in the top 75 overall so uh that's my first bullet that's my first observation of week one um my second one
37:57uh new play callers early in the season and the adjustment uh you know we saw it last night with the denver
38:05offense struggling uh with sean payton giving up play calling and the whole denver offense completely sunk um and then we saw
38:12it again on sunday with uh mcdaniel who i'm sure none of us expected uh with the charges offense these two offenses
38:20it might be a rough september uh two offenses that a lot of drafters loved uh quarterbacks that we loved uh you
38:28know skill players that we loved it just might be a bumpy start as they adjust to the play calling and now
38:36sometimes it worked out for other teams like the ravens um you know with new player callers but um that was you
38:43know uh something that stood out to me i don't know chris you're not you're not into i only bet the receiving
38:51props but you're not into the the charges team total this week versus the raiders i i think they get healthy and
38:59they get back on track quick um i'm not i think i think we see it i don't want to be i've
39:06made this mistake in years past where i don't adjust early in the season and i and i suffer for four or
39:14five weeks and teams just don't click i want to make the adjustment early and be ahead of the game and if
39:22they turn it around then so be it and then i have the players or whatever to go early on i'm gonna
39:30be a little concerned about the jalen waddles the lad mcconkey's the herbert and these offense they just didn't look right in
39:37week one say well is another guy on lad lad looked really good he just no no i'm sorry about that not
39:45not lad lad but lad's gonna maybe miss some time here yeah that's fair but the offense in general is what i'm
39:53saying with those two offenses um as opposed to the other two offenses i was really high on and a lot of
40:00us were with the jags and the bears you saw play callers for the second year as teams uh players in the
40:08second year of a system it just flowed naturally it looked good trevor and caleb with the with genius play callers um
40:16you know so looking into that a little bit more and then um i'll i'll get out on this uh nelson touched
40:24on it the that third tier of tight ends were a major hit here dalton kincaid dallas goddard and isaiah likely if
40:31you waited on tight end skip that second tier of the pits craft uh laporta and waited and you were the last
40:39guy and you built a monster team and then put one of these three guys on your team as your tight end
40:47as tight end 11 12 13 off the board it's only one week and i'm sure we'll all say this over and
40:54over again this show but these three guys could feed families uh at the tight end position i think i just gotta
41:02push back from the from the week one thing we saw aaron rogers a few years ago this team got abused like
41:1040 38 nothing he went on to be the mvp last year we saw geno go into new england abuse the patriots
41:18and that team went the losing team went to the super bowl the winning team got the number one pick i'm not
41:25backing away from my prior convictions to week one at this point right yeah week one can be a liar but i
41:33guess the the question is you know what what what things do we see is the truth i i did have kalif
41:41raymond as wtf on my notes though i'm with chris on that all right nelson what do you got uh i think
41:48my biggest observation that i noticed was there was five top uh offenses that struggled this year so uh week one sorry
41:56so you had the patriots you had the rams you had the broncos you had the chargers and you had the cowboys
42:04all those offenses didn't look so hot i look at it as i'm i'm trying to be the voice of reason and
42:12say take a deep breath relax i'm not ready to say that these offenses are just total garbage this year that you
42:19know they're projected top you know top 10 they were all taught like projected as top 10 offenses basically and they struggled
42:27some of them had tough matchups too uh that you know week one wasn't so great so i think we we need
42:35to you know take a look kind of like to dan's point is we have to filter through and decipher what is
42:42the truth like what what can what's sticky okay is kalief raymond sticky is kendrick born sticky i'm not ready to say
42:50matt stafford didn't look good there in the game in australia puka's toast uh davante adams is toast i'm not ready to
42:58say that bo nicks did not look good the offense looked out of sorts i'm not ready to say you know forget
43:06it jalen waddle uh you know he's he's done for uh patriots drake may look the worst he looked uh compared to
43:13all all year last year okay throwing three picks i don't expect may to regress to that point that you know could
43:21he regress could he you know do better look at last year to matt's point they the raiders came into new england
43:29beat beat them up new england didn't look so hot and drake may in that offense when went on to have a
43:36great year so that should have been the mbp yeah somebody voted in third or some shit yeah listen guys we know
43:44we know all this there's there's always going to be when we are doing this show in week five or six we're
43:52going to look back and laugh about things that happen in week one because it's overreaction week one because it's the only
44:00thing that we have to go off of with our eyes and what we saw was just this one week once we
44:07get a little more you know three four weeks in then week five and six when we look back we're going to
44:15my god remember week one when we thought waddle was in trouble or you know when the charges offense sucked and now
44:23they light up the scoreboard for it's gonna happen you know it's just it is what it is listen the thing with
44:30fantasy football is that we we get one game a week and we have six other days to overanalyze it okay or
44:38if if we don't score well we have six days to sit there and like you know dwell on the bad games
44:46from our players you have to we've been playing this game a long time we we have to be able to like
44:54again i agree with chris being able to adjust quicker i agree with dan on being able to say okay is this
45:01sticky or not um i'm just saying i'm i'm the one that's coming in saying we got to relax a little bit
45:09because even last year week one with the cowboys pickens i think put up a bagel or or he did nothing in
45:17that week one of course tell me what george pickens went on to do last year so it's like and this was
45:24pre-season this is still pre-season for these guys it's gonna be a bad three weeks like it happens now every year the
45:32first two weeks make sometimes even three weeks are a complete shit show and things that don't make sense is because this
45:40is their pre-season that's one of the big takeaways i had right there yes um you know it's it is pre-season you
45:48know these offenses a lot of times are just not you know they're not really fully functional yet uh they're still working
45:55but dan who didn't hit but dan i'm sorry but who didn't have pre-season like in terms of it was the bears
46:03and the jaguars teams that were already comfortable with their play call or their all that yes yes the carry over from
46:11that year that was a main focus of mine which is why i was all in trying to get bears and jags
46:18and a couple other teams is uh these guys didn't have to adjust early in the season like a denver to a
46:26new play call or right and they're also going up against very weak defenses so you get the double whammy there for
46:34week one yeah the only offenses that i'm not going to give a pass on uh because here's the thing new england
46:42i i said it myself i said new england going up to seattle week one with with that crowd is not going
46:49to be a freaking easy game i don't care i don't care about aj brown and and drake may i i'm huge
46:57fans of them i i drafted them i can see a bad game coming from them obviously it sucks that aj got
47:05hurt or whatever but i kind of i kind of expected that the rams putting up a dud because mcveigh galaxy brain
47:12the whole trip and and getting there the day before and playing in australia or whatever i'm going to chalk it up
47:20to i think the rams are going to be okay i i think that that trip to australia screwed them up um
47:28i'm going to tell you that i i think that like the chargers with a new play caller even though it was
47:36set up nice at home against arizona not a very strong defense i expected a little more out of them but it
47:43is a new offense uh that they're trying to run with mcdaniel so i'm i'm willing to give a little leeway the
47:51deep the defense that i'm not willing to you know give leeway to is the cowboys like i expected more out of
47:59them and they just look lifeless like they with pickens and cd on the outside i think the florinoy kid is very
48:06talented javante in the backfield you you gotta you gotta show more than that and i and i don't think the giants
48:14defense is anything to sneeze at like i i think they actually have a legit defense but you should be able to
48:22do something there with the broncos i'm giving them a pass because new play caller it's a little bit different you're going
48:30to kansas city i don't care about you know kansas city lost a lot of players on defense this offseason it's a
48:37it's a very good defensive coordinator and it's freaking tough to play at kansas city especially week one with that team and
48:45that that crowd hyped up for that game so i'm willing to give a pass to some offenses would you i mean
48:53for me that bronco game the biggest takeaway is i think sutton is a guy you definitely didn't want i'll see waddle
49:00bounce back i think he's too good i think patty ice is is emerging and sutton was a guy i avoided and
49:08as of week one it's only my takeaway my takeaway from that game was there's going to be a lot more other
49:16mouths to feed and people touching the ball in that offense than maybe we thought evan ingram uh was a factor okay
49:24he he was he's still alive guys they said that though nobody drafted evan ingram in the top 20 rounds in in
49:31in drafts this year like you know i didn't pick him up saturday night though well you know franklin's still out there
49:39like you know if you were hoping and making waddle a early third round pick like a lot of us were and
49:47thinking all right it's just him and sutton that's it maybe with a little pat bryant sprinkled in as the third wide
49:54receiver like a floor noi for dallas it doesn't look like it's going to be like that in denver uh you know
50:02there were there were packages that waddle and Sutton were off the field for in the third quarter and i couldn't believe

51:42with that i think that gets cleaned up too i i don't think it's gonna be especially that they paid for waddle
51:50and all that that'll get corrected but we did have two guys from denver on on the live stream and they both
51:58said evan ingram will be involved this year i i think i think with denver my takeaway obviously was i have water
52:06was a big target of mine uh this draft season not ideal start can't look can't lie there like it's it's not
52:13ideal what i liked was that they were moving him around the formation um he was constantly in motion he was lined
52:21up in the backfield that tells me like they're gonna find creative ways to get him the ball it's it's a new
52:29offense that he's learning over there with with peyton and webb um i'm not ready to say like oh you know this
52:36is a you know a disaster just yet um and then i i liked pat bryant uh this year in in draft
52:44season and i think that's a major win um if if you drafted sutton that's the guy that i'm worried about because
52:52i i look at it as like pat bryant's emergence in in that offense if he's gonna get targeted like that like
53:00it that that could hurt i'm not ready to say like it's gonna hurt waddle yet because i liked how they were
53:07moving him around the formation i i think payton they're not gonna go and spend the cap draft capital that they did
53:15and not make him a point of emphasis on the offense that he told his wife to draft waddle here we go
53:23well yeah all right anything else nelson that's it that's okay yeah i i i think one of the big takeaways for
53:30me uh you know the bears offense obviously looked great uh you know we we know the carolina defense is bad and
53:38all that but i think the bears offense is going to cook all year because the bears defense really stinks um when
53:46you can make carolina look as good as they looked on offense um that's not a good thing so if the you
53:54know the bears i i think are kind of the my early team to be uh one of those fantasy carnivals that
54:01we all love you know good offense uh terrible defense like the bengals have been in the past couple years like the
54:09cowboys have been uh i think i think dallas will still be though dan they lost two starters on defense now yeah
54:17yeah you gotta have the arrow pointing up after that bombing of a performance but i'd put dallas right behind chicago in
54:24terms of excitement for me with lamb and pickens i'll throw week one out um fantasy carnival for both those teams and
54:32uh another reason why i'm sure all of us were invested in these offenses right exactly and you know until further notice
54:40i'm i'm leaving the bengals there um as well i don't i i think their defense is better but i don't know
54:48if it's going to be good enough that they're going to be able to take the foot off the gas offensively at
54:55all so uh one thing i i also thought was really interesting was uh how how much dj moore and uh dalton
55:03kinkade consolidated the bills passing offense and they cooked a tough houston defense i mean you know i don't know if houston
55:11came out flat or the bills came out flying or both but um i thought that was going to be a much
55:18lower scoring game and i was really amazed at uh how how easily the bills were able to move the ball against
55:26that defense uh and that that to me says some pretty good things about uh what we ought to be able to
55:34expect out of that bill's offense uh i'm i i backed the truck up for dalton kinkade uh especially this weekend i
55:42i probably grabbed dalton kinkade in about 70 percent of the drafts that i did this weekend so um it was just
55:49amazing um and and really happy to see you and i was also uh firing away on dj moore because i was
55:57a little bit late on him going into the weekend uh so very happy to have some some more shares of that
56:05and uh you know the last thing i'll say we kind of already threw it out there but uh you could throw
56:12out everything from the rams performance it was just you know mcveigh fucked around and he found out and i you know
56:20i i think they'll they'll right the ship and also the san francisco defense is not a bad defense so well they're
56:28healthy they're healthy yeah they got you know they know the rams i mean these these teams know each other so you
56:36know when teams know each other like that a lot of times they end up being lower scoring games so yeah i'm
56:43not i'm not too worried about any of the rams at this point gotcha i mean for me it was basically the
56:51usage things that i was trying to key on like i'm not throwing everything away from that rams game the one thing
56:59that stood out to me is last year devontae adams eight inside the tent i mean he was catching how many one
57:06yard two yard touchdowns and it was he was on for one play inside the tent well maybe that's a mirage but
57:14that did catch my eye and if that's going to continue or he's only going to be out there like around that
57:22makes no sense yeah that that doesn't make any sense so i don't know what that means you know yeah i don't
57:30know but that's something that i keyed on uh the other thing that caught my eye it was it was a late
57:37game was the uh with the commanders and stuff that passing game i mean digs got the touchdown i don't think he
57:45was that impressive for me for at least for my eyes terry was mia and i think the kid antonio williams is
57:53uh the the upward kick you want there and that's a guy that you better be keeping an eye on and you
58:00know somebody i was able to add in a couple of primes and like you know i think five or six teams
58:08overall pretty much uncontested saturday night yeah again new offensive coordinator there so it might take a little time to to round
58:16into form well they get the cowboys so that's a big game that should that that that should help out their offense
58:24tremendously for sure all right um nelson uh curious who are you buying who are you selling um you know based off
58:31of what we saw week one uh who's who's that guy who surprised in a good way who's that guy surprised in
58:39a bad way that you think uh we we were seeing the truth and you know that it's going to continue yeah
58:47i mean you guys touched base on on two veteran guys that are like 30 something year old uh guys that flashed
58:54previously i would always stay away from these guys kalief raymond kendrick bourne uh chris brought it up already and it's the
59:02question of okay is this legit or is this a flash in a pan and it's usually a flash in the pan
59:10with these guys i actually remember kendrick bourne not too long ago you know a couple of years ago where he he
59:18put up a big game and and like the next week he went for crazy money um i'm i'm not personally going
59:25to be you know bidding up on these guys i'm going to be a little bit uh uh probably below market uh
59:33on these players so i'm going to say that those are the guys i'm not buying um because i don't think i'm
59:41that where i'm willing to put them in bid groups i don't think i'm going to be uh getting them on teams
59:48um as far as guys that i am buying that i liked you know what i saw out of i'd probably say
59:56uh the texans offense uh surprised me a little bit um even though montgomery and marks actually did split uh and that
60:04that was legit um montgomery had a big game and he looked good to me um obviously the three touchdowns helped but
60:12when you were drafting montgomery in the fifth round that was the whole point you were buying in on that they get
60:19in the red zone montgomery is the guy and and it showed at least week one that and and he didn't get
60:27in like they were at the goal line and i want to say like the first two rushes uh he got he
60:35got stuffed or got it like an extra yard and they went right back to it like they're the type of offense
60:42they're just going to be stubborn and they're going to just keep uh pounding him so that's huge for a running back
60:50when he's splitting with marks he could have been having a so-so game but if you're going to get those touchdowns those
60:58six points are so important in in fantasy that it just changes everything around right so um that that was one of
61:06my observations that i was a little bit um uh happy to see with uh you know the texans um what else
61:13another the offenses like that i'm not i'm just not buying into is like miami i i kind of faded them their
61:21receivers were super cheap so i like chris bell i like caleb douglas uh if you're interested in malik washington um i
61:29just wasn't really interested overall like that the a chan was a running back that between all the those running backs mixed
61:36in i was just not really interested in in him and that offense and then the cleveland offense was the other one
61:44that i was just not interested in judkins casey conception became a little too expensive uh in drafts i wasn't in on
61:52fanon so uh that's what i'm willing to like double down on and and say that like yeah you know there is
62:00no dip there like don't don't buy into it yeah fair enough yeah i you know just coming off last night i
62:07thought uh you know i i expected good things from kenneth walker but he kind of blew me away uh with how
62:15he was used with the you know the whole game plan you know i'm looking at the denver defense and i was
62:23thinking you know this could be kind of a quiet week for uh walker you know even though i'm in on him
62:30uh this this might not be the week that he goes off and it was very impressive to me um how well
62:38he was used uh you know just he's the he's the guy that after one week i saying to myself you know
62:46we all have these players that we you know faded or or bought in heavy he's the one guy that stands out
62:54to me after watching week one games that i say oh shit i can get burnt bad by not having um much
63:01ken walker yeah i'm pretty much even weight on him i i but i'm definitely wishing i was overweight after that yeah
63:09he's definitely one of the week one winners that yeah i don't i don't care how much of a hater you were
63:17and you if you faded walker there's just no way that you watched that game and said yep i'm gonna double down
63:24i'm not interested in walker 100 because they 100 you want walker 100 you want emma johnson backing him up on your
63:32roster because that emma johnson kid is legit they didn't lie when they said they brought him in and they wanted to
63:40build the offense around him and be the focal point you know uh it looked that way last night i mean i
63:48used the line early in the summer that i thought he would put kareem hunt rookie season stats they haven't had a
63:55dynamic running back in years it's been the hunt even uh chay remember they drafted him pacheco you know all these but
64:03mahol has not had a running back like that ever i mean well i mean but i'm saying like kareem hunt rookie
64:11season was awesome yeah it was but you know so yeah no i mean look you saw you saw him like the
64:18first half he had how many missed tackles i think he had nine i think uh what's his name on the jags
64:26had seven tootin was leading the with seven and he had nine in the first half so yeah can i bring up
64:34one observation um i did not think even though he got it done fantasy wise i didn't think mahomes looked particularly good
64:42uh last night and uh worthy was kind of an afterthought if you took him in the ninth tenth round and he
64:49doesn't work out it is what it is but rasheed rice like that's another guy that like yeah i feel free to
64:57him just like water he looks so bad he like he was you didn't even hear his name and then he gets
65:05lucky by not getting tackled on that quick screen test that he got scored his stat line which should have been long
65:12catch for like seven yards last night that like that's what it was gonna be if he didn't luck out with that
65:20touchdown he's in in big trouble i still don't understand how people were clicking on him in the third round after seeing
65:28all those videos of how bad he looked all summer long were we in consensus i think all four of us were
65:36not in on rice i don't believe so right i don't know a single share him and h and i have zero
65:43i was actually what i'm actually worried it's still burning i'm not really yeah yeah i'd be i'd be more much more
65:51worried about h and matt sure um the then the one that uh i was kind of in on i mean not
65:59heavily in on um i'm probably a little bit underweight but i i wanted to be heavier on him than i was
66:06and i'm glad i didn't end up that way uh travis etn um boy the way he got used in that game
66:14just or i i guess i should say maybe the way that kendrick miller got used in that game uh was eye
66:22opening well he did get banged up dan yeah etn and i think that led to miller getting a little more uh
66:30playing time but did he i mean out of the game he still came away from that game with seven catches yeah
66:37you know i didn't see he got banged up i guess i was you know of course when you're you're sitting at
66:45your middle though once what on the field is actually pretty good kendrick miller i still didn't understand draft season every 18th
66:5319th round was just sitting in my draft view and i own a ton of kendrick miller shares now um and i'm
67:00glad i didn't dump him on saturday night for other stuff but uh who knows you know he he could be a
67:08valuable handcuff yep yeah for sure um because kamara's you know he's still not all the way back i mean i i
67:16guess i think he's supposed to be back this week though they said they wanted to give him an extra week so
67:24so it's so determined yeah yes you know with with kendrick and uh kamara but it looks like there's going to be
67:31probably plenty of work for one of those guys uh going along with etn yeah uh i mean for next i'm up
67:39uh for me so somebody's really talked about this guy and i know it was a pretty much a an even split
67:47but i thought it looked really good you could say it's the browns but it's who we faced and this guy has
67:54the speed of a chain he was a workhorse in college and i i think it's a guy that eventually will pull
68:02away will chris rodriguez always have a role in this offense yes but i i think the the tootin at the end
68:10of five early six as the season goes on could pay off really nice uh i was really happy with the comments
68:18cohen made uh yesterday about him and his performance and that was a guy there two guys that i'm concerned about mainly
68:25because i bought in on the uh off-season reports rasheed shaheed was the talk of otas in camp him and donald had
68:33a great connection donald's out maybe week four he comes back they're saying possibly soon uh jordan addison put up another guy
68:41oh boy him him and kyla working out four months i was like you know matt that that whole range of receivers
68:48was a was a bust week one right romeo dobs rasheed shaheed jordan addison those were all those wide receivers from picks
68:56like 95 to 125 right there that everybody was adding as their wide receiver five i went back and looked at these
69:04names all trash in week one except one guy jalen coker yeah coker was awesome and coker was the star um right
69:12there so if you started any of those wide receiver fives and brought them into your lineup because a devontae adams struggled
69:19and aj brown got hurt and you wanted to draft them and bench them and bring in your diet your uh you
69:27know your addisons or whatever you got burnt in week one who was the robust running back drafters those people who were
69:35drafting you know like four running backs through you know six or seven rounds uh you know because they were relying on
69:42guys like addison and shaheed and stuff like that you know i was watching these guys build those teams out in vegas
69:50you know and i'm like i'm looking at their their wide receivers going man this thing could go sideways real real quick
69:58for them and that was a big part of yeah and that was a big part of why my draft strategy again
70:06not saying that it's correct after one week but just giving you uh that point of view of when i looked at
70:13those receivers and said if i'm gonna go two three running backs in in the the first few rounds i like i
70:21don't want dk metcalf i don't want brian thomas i don't want marvin harrison i don't want davante adams i don't want
70:29quentin johnson i don't want courtland sutton i don't want michael pitman like you can go down that those rounds are littered
70:36with those guys that if you went robust running back or you took a couple of running backs and then started building
70:44your you had to avoid a lot of landmines there and that was one guy go ahead there was one guy there
70:52who i think would have had a monster game if the team just wasn't in such control of it was adenai mitchell
71:00he had three for 60 and i don't think this guy's comfortable again if you look at the separation score this guy
71:07just gets open the jets pretty much went into a shell after they had that big lead and they were you know
71:15mitchell was a like a late guy that was late that was way later he's a guy he's a guy and hit
71:23on i know i know what you're talking about that seventh round wide seven to eighth not uh nine round wide receiver
71:30range with all the names once you got out of that top 55 60 overall at wide receiver and you needed a
71:38wide receiver four sometimes those were all the names you were picking from i didn't like any of them either i do
71:46i did really like dk metcalf uh and matthew golden those were my top two guys but all those other names um
71:54and and i actually came out of week one very encouraged about dk metcalf if you watched a lot of yards yeah
72:01the air yards the the you know he got tackled uh for a long touchdown uh for pass interference uh rogers is
72:09throwing to him he's going to be the number one there he's going to have his big weeks uh i loved getting
72:17dk metcalf on a lot of my teams as my wide receiver four uh a lot of those other names you mentioned
72:24nelson or are uh guys i didn't want on my team and again when you only had two wide receivers in builds
72:32and went into those rounds and you needed to build more of a wide receiver room i agree with you you're in
72:40trouble or at least early on that's what i'm saying i would be worried if i built my teams around three running
72:48backs early on took a top tight end or quarterback and then i got to rely on those receivers as either my
72:55two or three uh or in the flex or whatever it's it's not pretty now let's go back to what matt said
73:03about the running backs and two and then okay let's name these guys they all had solid week ones and i think
73:11you're in a good spot if you drafted on the first part of the board and you were the gibbs and bijon
73:18owner and followed it up with three wide receivers that looked solid okay and came back got your second running back out
73:26of the tootons the cam scataboos montgomery started landing in that late um fifth round early sixth round even so did bucky
73:34irving um earlier in the draft season javante williams was in that late fourth fifth round range uh kyron williams as well
73:42uh that freaking guy went to the second round in drafts 100 kidding avante williams became the biggest skyrocket in the last
73:49week of drafts kyron as well after his decent uh game and people like oh shit you know what this guy isn't
73:57going anywhere but you know montgomery scataboos uh bucky if you clip these guys as your rb2 and round late in five
74:05and early in six like a lot of people were because everybody was hoarding wide receivers as as usual right now you
74:12got to feel good about yourself you were able to avoid these later wide receivers the need for them and you were
74:20able to stay away from the the you know the running backs later as well that you needed for an rb2 yes
74:28but i'm still very bullish on blake corum jonathan brooks i think these guys are those guys are going to come through
74:36you know i mean corum looked really good in that game yeah but you know and i think that's i think that's
74:43a point chris is trying to get at though is if you built your team to a point where you had to
74:51you know where it was very likely that those guys were going to end up in your week one lineup um you
74:59did it wrong i mean you know i think either you needed to have that one running back earlier that you could
75:06you know that you could put in there of course or or what you had to do is you had to come
75:14back with you know like a jordan mason or uh you know bill krosky merit or a guy like that you know
75:22i'm not overjoyed with the performance i got out of those guys but considering where i drafted them if i was throwing
75:30them into my lineup you know i was feeling much more comfortable about throwing uh you know a jcm or a uh
75:37a mason into my lineup than than somebody that i knew was going to take several weeks for the you know to
75:45to start actually performing for us i mean outside of the jags broncos matchup the vikings and bears is got to be
75:53right up there when you got flores going up against ben johnson and you know see what this blitzing offense does against
76:00them you know against the bears it should be fun no doubt and and your point on addison uh matt i i
76:08fully faded addison uh this season i mean i you know i like the fact that he and kyler were working together
76:16by i thought once juan jensen came in or jennings came in that was just kind of like you know this this
76:24is going to be bad for addison because you're going to have uh justin jefferson who kyler is going to feed and
76:31you're going to have hockinson catching all the dump down stuff and jennings is going to be that kind of you know
76:39handling what addison used to handle sort of the mid-range targets and they're going to turn addison into the deep threat because
76:47they're not going to turn justin jefferson into a deep threat you've got to have a deep threat on this team you
76:54know to take the top off the defense i'm like but you know that's going to be addison so well i mean
77:02we're going to find out because i think the best thing that happened to the vikings was kyler getting knocked out i'm
77:10not gonna argue with you on that man um i'm a vikings fan i was like i don't know we got into
77:18the second quarter and i'm like uh i don't like how it happened but uh the key for me quarterback on the
77:25field right now with uh yeah the key to me is we saw these backups come in i know seattle some people
77:33were like no i really like lock i'm not one of those people but when a backup comes into a game versus
77:41when a team has a week to prepare for a backup it's two totally different things so right we'll see what happens
77:48yes yeah i don't know how i feel about that as obviously jefferson's my most owned wide receiver um early uh you
77:56know kyler i the reason why i was in on justin jefferson so much is kyler's a one read quarterback and he
78:04is going to pepper justin jefferson all year long that made me want to fade jordan addison completely i did wind up
78:12with a couple shares just in case but uh i didn't really want him it was like at a desperation wide receiver
78:19five when the board was dried up yeah i mean i i wouldn't i wouldn't just write off addison's issue i'm not
78:27writing them off i'm just saying i'm just saying we're getting here yeah it's pretty much yeah i just i don't know
78:35if carson wentz is the full-time answer i love what he did he came in and he went right to justin jefferson
78:42too so yep um but long term i had high hopes for the kyler murray justin jefferson uh combination oh hopefully kyler
78:50can get himself healthy and uh you know but yeah man oh man that guy gets hurt a lot all right matt
78:58you done with your buy-in cells yeah we move on whatever i don't even uh yeah i'm done there so what do
79:06we whatever the next topic is i'll just say i'm i'm be more concerned about drake may um now with the loss
79:13of aj brown as a cell um i for me personally uh i wasn't in on drake may this year and now
79:21the the loss of aj brown for probably the next six weeks i wouldn't have him ranked as a top 10 12
79:29quarterback each week going forward i think he's in trouble i think the offense even though they face seattle on a great
79:36defense uh i think it i think it's going to be some bumpy roads ahead for the next uh month month and
79:44a half until aj brown gets back uh they got romeo dobbs and mac hollins uh as their top two wide receivers
79:52unless drake may is getting it done with 70 80 rushing yards each week um i think drake may isn't going to
80:00pay off his price as qb2 on most people's boards uh so that's a sell for me and then a big sell
80:07for me after week one i didn't like was uh saquon barkley again uh i did wind up with one big share
80:15of barkley unfortunately i wanted to be completely out on him but i did wind up with one share late uh this
80:23offensive line i don't know why everybody was hyping it up still it's old it's falling apart dickerson just went to ir
80:30he tapped out these other guys are going to germany for stem cell treatment last month like the old line is just
80:38falling apart it's getting old it's no longer an elite unit um you know offensive lines that weren't getting any hype this
80:46off season this summer by the offensive line people that do that like the giants um and the bears like these are
80:54offensive lines that are way better than the eagles but yet everybody had the eagles ranked as a top three offensive line
81:01so um i'm worried about barkley in the second round drake may as well and i'm worried about drake london and kyle
81:09pitts as all sells uh and then more importantly the same thing with marvin harrison marvin harrison i just keep going back
81:17to this guy each year draft season and uh i might land on the sword again you know one catch for 31
81:24yards we talked about kendrick born being a little bit more of a factor now too the trey mcbride fade looks terrible
81:32after week one um harrison just may not be it guys you know so and i have a lot of harrison so
81:40that's an issue and then real quick the buys kalen black looked unbelievable and i don't know how much of a role
81:48he's going to play in san francisco's offense how much he's going to cut into mcafree's um you know pie but kalen
81:55black look like he belongs on the field as somebody that gets you know a series here and there and if mcafree
82:03ever goes down or misses time kalen black would be the that big time uh you know league winning play uh and
82:11that's it i'll i'll leave it at that all right well god nobody wants to talk about the patriots you know i
82:18i kind of agree chris it is going to be rough because matt collins and pops and i would i've never been
82:26a dobbs guy but again i'm just going to reiterate i think trey mion's the winner at least the pass catching ability
82:34this guy has only play on that team with juice and i mean again stevenson to me is a good back he's
82:42nothing special it was his last 19 games he hasn't had he's had four games 55 yards or more i mean i
82:49don't get it death taxes and matt will not give up i'm saying that was the way i was going to figure
82:57out where he was going with that saying to me love me like somebody but you don't see who you have on
83:05that somebody that loves you as much as modica chris chris chris the best part is he goes uh can we talk
83:12about the patriots and i'm like where where's he going with this i thought chris you know covered it pretty well well
83:20i thought you were gonna say something about drake may make a comment on that but no i i mean i don't
83:28i don't have i don't have much of a rebuttal you know it's it's not a it's not an ideal situation no
83:36all right listen here's my point matt uh nelson any of you guys answer this if we're having one last draft today
83:43with what we know after week one and what we've seen and injuries and everything where is drake may coming off the
83:51board at the quarterback position we saw it we saw it after the wednesday game yeah it was he was coming off
83:59like down 11 12 he dropped significantly from from monday yeah yep yeah he he wasn't he wasn't living in the sixth
84:06round anymore uh you know where he was so i think we saw it after after that game where people were willing
84:14to value him and yeah he was 10th or 11th round uh and you're right like i'd take jared goff before him
84:22yeah i was doing that but i also think it's not a bad idea to take him with another quarterback now that
84:30he was going cheaper now that he was now that he was in the back half of that tier of those quarterbacks
84:37uh you know what let me take him as my qb2 and see what it looks like in a month 100 nelson
84:45that's exactly i was trying all day friday when i was drafting that's what i was trying to do was try and
84:53get weight on quarterback and if i uh if it happened uh get like a goff or a jordan love first and
85:00then come right back with drake may as mike two and just start you know obviously goff and love for the first
85:08six weeks of the season and then later on switch back to drake may with aj brown so yeah good point real
85:16quick just one point because we didn't say that to really back is it about jayden henderson no jayden daniels nobody likes
85:24him all this they look terrible sunday but when that guy plays the full game he averages like 25 points and he
85:31has an upside of 40 nobody likes him nobody wanted him he sucks blah blah blah but if he plays the full
85:39game it's 25 points or more he did but i know i remember like he had like 65 passing yards in the
85:47fourth quarter i got to the number i think he got to the number but i'm just making a point it's not
85:54pretty but he seems to get there yeah i i'm i am interested to see what the you know what washington does
86:02against um dallas because i do think the eagles defense is for real um i think they're a good unit um but
86:10you know obviously very well coach one fantasy point though dan huge disappointment in week one the steelers were the big winner

87:50pro plans all right uh let's uh let's any other observations anybody has i'm gonna i'm gonna throw out there we kind
87:58of talked about it but you know the vikings won but i you know the wheels are wobbling on the bus they're
88:06pretty bad um i don't know what they're gonna do at quarterback because you know if kyler murray can't stay healthy uh
88:13carson wentz looked good to me he looked good but he's he also just man he gets absolutely destroyed back there sometimes
88:21because he does not have a good feel for the pass rush how about the underrated how about the underrated call from
88:29ko c to actually demote mccarthy to qb3 and let wentz be the backup that was one of another major had to
88:36do it me with justin jefferson was if you got to remember everybody that was out on justin jefferson in july and
88:44august it was because oh you know what happens if kyler gets hurt now we have stuck with jj mccarthy and now
88:52that's over with but when they went to wentz now you had it covered with you know a decent veteran quarterback in
89:00wentz and you didn't have to worry about the jj mccarthy thing and kyler's gonna be okay it's a concussion he'll be
89:07back in a week or two or whatever um but at least they have the combination of murray and wentz to get
89:15the ball to jefferson who is the best wide receiver in football which marches yes i i think once is probably better
89:23i think college sucks i'm sorry maybe i'm wrong yeah i don't i don't know if i'd go that far i don't
89:30know if i'd go that far matt but um you know yeah getting wince in there was you know it's what had
89:38to happen um you know the word around here is that basically uh jj mccarthy is uncoachable um you know i don't
89:46understand he's you know he's got kevin o'connell as his his coach you know a quarterback whisperer and it sounds like he
89:54just doesn't want to listen to anything that o'connell tells him he wants to try to do things his way all the
90:01time and you know he's he's just not responding to you know what he's getting and just basically seems like he's got
90:09a you know way too much ego and uh he you know i hate to say it but he needs to get
90:17beat down a little bit uh probably needs to end up on another team and beat the shit out of them dan
90:24says beat him down close the doors damn that's telling you that got dropped pretty fucking quick eat the shit out of
90:32them love it mentally i love it dan that's what i would do too take a bat to the knees but yeah
90:40that you know so the vikings they gotta they gotta get that quarterback situation figured out because i you know i think
90:48if they have wince in there for too many weeks he's gonna get exposed um you know he he kind of dropped
90:55out of the league for a reason i think he can you know i think he's one of those guys who can
91:03look really good for a couple three weeks maybe uh but you don't want to be tying your season to him yeah
91:11okay yeah who else has something there or anywhere no that's it i mean did any of you feel that justin jefferson
91:18was a little um you know like discounted at the end of the first round heck yeah i i felt he belonged
91:26right there in that four five six range with puka and jsn to be honest with you um but a lot of
91:34people you know felt differently uh most people would take lamb off the board over jj um i didn't see it that
91:42way and i'm a little worried about lamb to be honest with i think i thought it was jefferson but i thought
91:49it was neck and neck i mean i think he's as good as chase as you said i just i'm worried about
91:57that quarterback situation i mean he had a monster game he says he's going scorched earth and i kind of believe that
92:05could happen but there is also an alternative where we saw what happened last year so i mean there are you know
92:12yeah um all right uh what was everybody doing with bowers the once the injury happened with bowers what was what was
92:20everyone's draft plan or were you trying to go were you running away from bowers or were you very interested in getting
92:28the discounted bowers i ran away from him i had enough and i looked at it like uh dalton kincaid as a
92:36bills fan how he struggled with this injury for years and finally was healthy this year yeah i tried i wanted to
92:43get bowers in every draft on friday dan so i was the opposite of you nelson i was the opposite i i
92:51gambled and uh ffpc whenever he fell to the two three turn uh i was taking him in drafts that's what we
92:59talked about with steve and david hubbard um was the plan was put a combo together of bowers with gibbs or bijon
93:06or or you know a monra chase those kind of guys put a unique combo uh there's not going to be many
93:14teams like that at uh nffc anytime bowers was in the fifth round i was taking uh bowers with the way i
93:22built my team which caused me to like punt my rb2 and i was i was comfortable with that it's very risky
93:30like my my way of like how i was drafting there at the end uh there's a lot of uh risk involved
93:37but i was i was into bowers um also we gravitated to aj brown and taking the discount uh in the sixth
93:45round we were willing to we were willing to take aj brown uh there in the sixth round and just say all
93:53right uh we'll figure out we'll figure out the receiver uh with with you know uh we were taking a lot of
94:00godwin a lot of matthew golden um you know different guys there was receivers we took that didn't look good week one
94:08but there was guys that we were taking planning okay if he misses four to six weeks but what does it look
94:16like end of the season in a tournament format was my thinking the the whole time was i'm not worried about week
94:24one what does this look like week 15 when you have bowers on this team that if we can figure out rb2
94:31and nffc and then uh aj brown if we can figure out wide receiver for the first four to six weeks to
94:39replace him what does this team now look like you know in the shootout so interesting very very interesting right there and
94:47uh i was split on that personally um i didn't want any part of aj brown after the injury um the four
94:54to six week diagnosis that started getting thrown around on friday i think when wide receivers get a nasty high ankle sprain
95:02not only do you have to wait six weeks for an aj brown most likely uh and carry him at a at
95:10a price that was in the fifth and sixth round range mostly these guys don't um come back the same as they
95:18usually are you know usually are it's an all year long issue so if he comes back and he's a 75 aj
95:25brown you're not getting him at what you were uh for me i thought bowers was mispriced the last couple days after
95:33the injury they said it would be a one to two week issue you already have week one figured out when you
95:41could plug and play points and mix around with your lineup and then if you had to wait just one more week
95:48more or even two and you got a fifth round bowers where you had to pay a second round price i thought
95:56it was a major difference so yeah okay so here's the thing with bowers they're saying one to two weeks i don't
96:04buy that at all i think it's bullshit uh maybe he'll come back and you know week two maybe he'll come back
96:12in week three but i think he's going to look like crap uh you know these this meniscus tear you know everybody's
96:19looking like oh yeah it's no big deal you know what i've had meniscus tears repaired on both my knees and you
96:27know did you play on sunday though dan when you know i wasn't playing on that yeah but i wasn't trying to
96:35be an nfl athlete either i mean that's the point you know it's it's it bowers has bad knees and i i'm
96:42kind of with matt i kind of threw him in the no i mean yeah i said i don't i don't want
96:50to i don't want to be dealing with this the whole time i felt like a.j brown with a you know yeah
96:58it's a high sprain on the ankle but the price was a lot cheaper on a.j brown i didn't have to take
97:06him in the second or third round i could take him in the sixth or even i got him at the 710
97:13in a prime time you know wait so wait wait wait but it was the price was the same a.j brown was
97:21a early second rounder just like bowers was and and they both but the price after the injury was not the same
97:29the price after the injury was different a.j brown was a.j brown was an extra round a.j brown was uh i mean
97:36i got about 48 49 i mean chris in our prime friday night we took the receiver at 411 bowers and loveland
97:44were there we would take i would have taken bowers at 5-2 if we got there but i honestly wanted loveland at
97:52that point because i had enough bowers anyway and i wanted love and loveland got a zero anyway so he had the
98:00same week i wasn't taking bowers unless he got down to the craft and uh laporta range well i'm just i'm worried
98:07about you have to be worried about this thing i don't care if they say it's a you know a couple of
98:15weeks who bowers yeah i mean listen he was walking around without a limp or anything in the facility yesterday i hope
98:23he's fine i hope he's fine i'm invested i i hope he's fine too i got plenty of bowers shares before the
98:30injury but and i thought you had a perfect way to draft bowers at least my plan all day friday was get
98:38bowers and then move michael mayer up two rounds uh at a price that wasn't even that um sure you know where
98:46were you on bowers going into that weekend were you underweight even weight overweight i was no weight i i know you
98:54see that's why you know that's why it made sense yeah so exactly so like nelson said you you take the discount
99:01you go in on them now everybody had to pay with uh round two bowers all summer long but i got around
99:09five bowers okay but what if you're even weight or overweight now you're now you're doubling down on a player who's that's
99:17what i did i doubled down because bowers in the ffpc i had more than average bowers in the first round and
99:24i was willing to double down at again with bowers because it was going to form a unique combo that a lot
99:32of teams weren't able to do and even the people that obviously drafted bowers like in the early third round or whatever
99:40they might not know how to put the team together to survive so there's there's going to be teams that are going
99:48to fall apart and not finish top four and make the shootout i was willing to gamble for that reason i just
99:55thought i just thought it was something you had to do with bowers if you're if you're playing this game and you
100:03want to be ballsy and and and confident in the way you draft and get around some early season issues i mean
100:11you want to hand me round five bowers and he's back in the lineup in week three potentially and you guys are
100:18drafting him 15th overall 12th overall 13th overall two days later and and i could uh f around with my week one
100:26lineup and put in a michael may or a draft goddard or kincaid or likely as my backup to bowers and then
100:34maybe i don't even if bowers plays week two i didn't get and i didn't take any hit uh to me that's
100:42a no-brainer um so that's the way i played it okay well i i you know part of my fade again probably
100:49was due to where i was drafting um at least in the nffc i was at the front end of the the
100:57draft and i wasn't taking him in the fourth round no way not with a you know dj moore's and uh parker
101:05washington's and christian watson's and guys guys like that there's no way i'm taking uh an injured bowers over those guys and
101:12by the time it came around to me in the fifth he was always gone so uh you know to a certain
101:20extent i never had to make that uh that determination and the ffpc i just really didn't like his price because you
101:28know he was going in the second early third a lot of times and to me that's just not enough of a
101:36discount not for a guy who's already who's already hurting uh i just don't need those kind of troubles i i just
101:43felt like he had the upside of mcbride and mcbride was never making in the ffpc mcbride was never making it down
101:51there to those type of teams so now the potential to pair hit bowers with those running backs that you're getting in
101:59the first round i i thought that it made sense in a from yeah i mean i agree with you with your
102:06point nelson but you also have a volume issue where you guys can do that you you can afford to take those
102:14shots in in my opinion if you're doing 10 main events versus you know i i think it's a lot different i'm
102:22doing 10 main events i think i'm i'm i think i'm doing it still i don't know i i i think when
102:30you have that in front of you i think it makes it different all right all right so okay um anything else
102:37we want to talk about from week one um raven raven's offense looked amazing i will be interested to see what happens
102:45now that uh basically their entire wide receiver core is uh hurt but uh you know we we talked a lot about
102:53uh you know new offensive coordinators and struggles and all that kind of stuff they you know the ravens were not struggling
103:00uh deckland doyle i think came through um he and lamar jackson seemed to you know they seem to be seeing things
103:08the same way and uh you know the offense looked really really well designed so really really i always think isn't isn't
103:16uh anything more than maybe a week or two at worst because man zay flowers looks like he belonged in the early
103:24second round as a wide receiver in this offense like he's he's that guy you wanted to click on in that early
103:31third round for sure stay on the deckland doyle point for a second the jets might actually screw themselves up again if
103:39they like overachieved this year and they keep their coach who i think is a great defensive coordinator not a good head
103:47coach and not get a guy like deckland doyle because i mean that's what i i was excited about for the ravens
103:54this year this kid you know he's coming from the ben johnson the mcveys that whole tree but the jets will jets
104:02it up all the time well if i if i'm deckland doyle and the jets are looking for a coach again i'm
104:10not sure that that's going to be my first choice of places to go how about kenyan speaking of that jets offense
104:18real quick i mean breese hall and garrett wilson i think are going to be phenomenal draft picks at both positions um
104:25i tried to get as much garrett wilson late draft season as i could uh and move him to the early second
104:33just to get my hands on him he was somebody i wanted every draft and somebody would just snipe me every single
104:41time in the middle of the board um wanted more garrett wilson but omar cooper gets hurt kenyan sadiq who most of
104:48the summer people thought he would miss a portion of the early season he's there week one he's one of those guys
104:56that i think will be a pretty decent sized bid um if you want to play the long game on a guy
105:04that can hit like a colston lublin they remember colston lublin last year did nothing for the first half of the season
105:12uh was a high draft pick second half of the season was a difference maker if you want to get a difference
105:19maker off the waiver wire potentially in october and november maybe sadiq is the second passing game option for the jets i
105:27mean i think so because i think you had a point that he missed basically all ots most of the camp except
105:35maybe like last week or so when he started practicing and as it got late the last couple of weeks ferguson got
105:42like way too expensive you know i was getting 17 18 19th round shares back in june and sadiq became my guy
105:50late you were getting 18th round no problem you know for the most part maybe 17th you had to take him yep
105:58yep i picked him up in the 20th round in a prime time uh on saturday um it was just you know
106:06really really free value it was it was i have a lot of 19th and 20th round shares of sadiq in primes
106:13as well dan um and to me when you got in those last two rounds in the last two three rounds of
106:21drafts in the final 10 days of draft season was absolute trash to me it was a no-brainer pick to take sadiq
106:29and just say all right let's see what happens early on in the season here yep yeah totally all right uh start
106:36looking ahead to week two um you know i want to know what you guys are going to be looking for regarding
106:44specific players or offenses you know what uh you know what are you what are you going to be looking at that
106:52you think might be changing from week one or you're looking to have confirmed uh what we saw in week one uh
107:00and also of course uh you know we we all know how to use the vegas lines to to find games that
107:07are great for scoring fantasy points um and games to shy away from but i'm curious which ones where you think uh
107:15you know what what games are you going to really be uh trying to to target which ones are you going to
107:23be trying to avoid uh matt why don't you get us started on that i mean the the jags versus the broncos
107:30i'm very curious to see that game the jags dominated the browns as expected the broncos just fell flat got steamrolled in
107:38kansas city i think that's going to be a hell of a game i do think the broncos will bounce back be
107:46much better come this week uh and i'm curious much worse yeah but i mean i'm expecting them to put up a
107:54good game like like a solid game and jacksonville you know what are they going to be against the broncos we saw
108:01them go in last year and play one of the best games of the year so that and i'm i want to
108:09see the vikings and um the bears everybody's got to be keyed on that ben johnson said he wants to set the
108:17record you got flores you know with his blitz scheme so i mean those are the top two for me all right
108:24nelson what are you good i'd like to see a uh bounce back from the rams uh they're going to be back
108:32at home monday night against the giants um so i'd be curious to see um with that offense bouncing back i think
108:40the cowboys back at home also uh against the commanders um i'm expecting you know things to be better there if not
108:48i i would start getting a little concerned with hey what's going on here um with these offenses so i think those
108:55two are good bounce back opportunities i actually think the broncos at home against the jaguars could be tricky i think the
109:03jaguars defense is legit and then i think the patriots at home versus the steelers i think the steelers defense is tough
109:11so i i actually am not expecting necessarily fireworks uh from those two games uh nelson i money lined the steelers uh
109:18early this morning already catching they're catching six points and i'm shocked at that line not only did i take them plus
109:26the six points but i money lined the steelers also going to throw another one at you i money lined and took
109:34the points on the giants monday night okay and the reasoning behind this is a couple things uh the rams coming back
109:42from this australia trip i could see the powerhouse rams just getting out of the gates oh and two struggling all effed
109:49up with the uh the traveling back and forth okay they just did it i know they have a couple extra days
109:57because it was thursday night whatever they lose miles garrett if they don't have aaron donald and even if they do come
110:05back for his first game i just could see the rams having a rough september here one and three and then going
110:12on and winning the super bowl after that the giants came out red hot uh that's one of the teams i'm interested
110:20in seeing for sure because i think this offensive line in scataboo um you know could do some damage and i could
110:28see it being an early is this is a respect line from vegas no one you know the rams are laying seven
110:36it's the perennial super bowl champs against the shit giants but this line should not be seven right now in the season
110:43and maybe they play in november different story but you have a team coming off of a high versus a team coming
110:51off a low and banged up so um that's just i i get it chris i you know i'm not with with
110:59those games and then the other uh offense that i didn't think looked good uh week one that i'm expecting a bounce
111:06back is the chargers uh at home against the raiders again there's some key bounce back spots here with these offenses that
111:14didn't look that that great in the in the first week that if they don't look good in the second week now
111:22i'm like you know we what's going on here yeah if they struggle versus the raiders then i'm gonna have some serious
111:30concerns i'm with you 100 of that nelson yep no doubt about that yeah i i wanted to know about the uh
111:37giants too i think they're gonna it's gonna be really interesting against the rams because i was trying to decide is it
111:45you know is the giants offense really this good or is the cowboys defense really this bad both can both be right
111:53yeah both can be right and may and may be and i hope that's i hope that's true because i i kind
112:00of built a couple of uh giant stacks um this weekend in prime times just because that's the way the board was
112:08falling to me and it was like okay well um you know if if i'm going to get uh neighbors and scadaboo
112:16you know i'm going to go ahead and lean into it with a dart and of course you know if you had
112:24neighbors you needed to have somebody to pivot to and so i was like well you know i'll i'll pivot to malachi
112:31field since i've already got the stack going rather than you know go florinoy or you know somebody from the the monday
112:39night game so listen you're from your lips to god's ears dan because i have a shit ton of neighbors likely um
112:47fields so i hope that that's a gift yeah all summer long into now i mean he was going 11th 12th round
112:54i noticed could be a very underrated stack for sure but it was that and it was mostly the neighbors if neighbors
113:02is going to be there or not you take neighbors out of this offense and how could you be confident drafting jackson
113:10dark jackson dark last year without neighbors was putting up 25 30 points a game last year it's a bad neighbors yeah
113:18listen it's a fair point um plus chris you got to remember uh without neighbors they do have darnell mooney all right
113:25the sicilian caught a ball the other day yeah yeah uh the one game i don't think we mentioned yet was the
113:33cowboys and the redskins well can i just people want to call nelson nelson mentioned okay i'm sorry i just thought yeah
113:41i expect to bounce back there they're back at home in dallas i'm expecting to see fireworks in that game if i
113:48don't see fireworks lamb lamb or pickings or both is going to put up big numbers against that washington secondary honestly i
113:56faded that offense uh the washington offense uh matt so honestly like i don't have like i'm not excited uh about i'm
114:04not really don't have anybody there we do want them to keep up with washington some with dallas in that game for
114:12the fireworks we don't want to see 24 to 3 um right so uh that game definitely has potential uh of a
114:19high scoring game what about the colts and chiefs guys um you know i obviously the colts got a little bit steamrolled
114:27by uh the ravens but they've you know they performed all right offensively uh i i think the chiefs are probably going
114:35to steamroll that coats colts defense as well uh if walker keeps playing like he has but how do you think the
114:42colts offense is going to do against the chiefs defense that game was crazy to me because i thought early on they
114:50you know taylor looked really good they got downs and very good yeah yeah 37 yards on like the second drive of
114:58the game and then away from downs after a while though i which i couldn't figure out why nobody did anything in
115:06the past game you know uh tyler warren lucked out with the touchdown or else his day would have been torpedoed same
115:13way with josh down so hopefully it's a game that the chiefs get up on them and the colts are throwing from
115:21behind uh most of the game to get these guys going you guys didn't mention the one game that i have circled
115:29at the top of my list it's the the packers and the jets believe it or not you know we didn't touch
115:36on the yeah yeah let's talk about it let's talk about it i am in love with this packers offense and i
115:44think the packers are the team that could potentially play in a lot of these shootouts their defense sucks okay and the
115:52vikings just hung 37 on them but you know it's a it's a team that's going to struggle to run the ball
116:00it's a team that has great passing options we saw this week jordan love just threw for 390 okay uh it's a
116:07good flow back and forth i think here the jets have some nice weapons uh their defense is subpar i don't care
116:15what they did versus the titans this game could be a nice little back and forth here both teams have the right
116:23mix of what you need to get a good back and forth uh game going here so packers and jets to me
116:30are a sneaky little shootout game um hopefully and um i am worried on the flip side i'm not worried about dallas
116:38bouncing back but the other big time offense that stalled out in week one with cincinnati even though yeah houston's defense got
116:46banged up but you know for burrow chase and higgins to come off of a rough week one you the last team
116:54you want to see them playing is in houston and against that defense uh no matter what about losing that game too
117:01yeah it's buffalo so yeah so hopefully hopefully they get their stats or else it's a two-week stinker to start the season
117:09for you know everyone's favorites the you know burrow chase higgins the the bangle boys oh it's it's just not a football
117:17season unless the bengals passing game starts off really really slow so no well they better wait to have a look again
117:24to my point to my point if you started off slow with your bengal stack and you gotta go face houston and
117:32you have another bad week you're really in a hole so yeah but the one last game i'll mention is the ravens
117:40and the saints uh it sounds like zay's playing lane's fractured wrist that's the the saints what the first three quarters were
117:48sleepwalking and then 400 yards later that uh shuck put up one of the best treats i saw yesterday is chris olame
117:55is averaging two medical tents per game and 100 yards i don't know i forgot who said it but it was pretty
118:03two tents a game i love it yeah i i want to circle back around to what chris was talking about though
118:11the packers jets because i thought the i thought the packers running game looked like hot garbage against the vikings but but
118:18the vikings also generally have a very good rush defense so you know it it will be interesting to see how the
118:26packers rushing offense does against the jets who are not i don't think they're on the same level as vikings as far
118:34as i need my marshawn lloyd shares to to come through uh this week i i wasn't all about this i did
118:42not play lloyd hardly at all this week because of the vikings defense i was upset about the passing i thought maybe
118:49he'd catch some passes but yeah yeah i agree yeah that's that's what i thought he'd do yeah i don't know what
118:57you do with marshawn lloyd going into uh week two here against a softer defense but tough to play him off of
119:05that week one performance and the way the running backs were used brooks look kind of better i've got to be honest
119:12for at least in my eyes i thought brooks was looked like he was towing a 20-foot boat and my point and
119:20marshawn lloyd didn't look like he was dynamic you know i was expecting i'll give way a little bit of a pass
119:28i mean that was basically his first nfl game action um pretty much ever they got a great pass rush and you
119:36know run defense and all that but my point was he didn't look coming brooks didn't really separate it was a tricky
119:43game for lloyd's first game because you're going to minnesota minnesota's defense is legit they flores loves to blitz the shit out
119:51of people so the running backs have to stay in to pass protect and they can't leak out to catch those little
119:59passes which you know all of a sudden lloyd catches like three or four balls his game looks a little bit different
120:06um you know i'm willing you know i said i'm hoping i'm hoping it's very disappointing i have higher hopes in this
120:14jets game for him yeah i think he'll do better all right um we've been going at it a while i mean
