1:10He just might be the largest human being in fantasy sports.

1:17Thank you, buddy. Thank you for having me. I'm looking forward to talking ball with you and talking shop.
1:23I love the channel. I love what you do.
1:26Thank you for thinking of me. Well, of course.
1:28Yeah, I appreciate you. I'm glad you could come on here.
1:32I got to meet you at the Expo a couple years back and, you know, seeing you there since.
1:38And it's pretty cool the energy you bring to the table.
1:41And obviously, you know, you're a big man. It's hard to miss you.
1:45So it's fun seeing you at the Expo and seeing what you've done in this space, in this fantasy space.
1:51And so we're going to dive into your backstory, into your journey.
1:55Can you first tell, you know, some of the listeners and viewers what you're up to in 2026 when it comes to content?
2:02What I'm up to in 2026 is what I've been up to since I've started making content.
2:08In the summer, we predominantly focus on best ball.
2:11A lot of people know my content is synonymous with drafters fantasy sports.
2:15That's where we do predominantly our best ball drafts.
2:17Last year, we did over 600 best ball contests.
2:20And this year, we're looking to do relatively the same amount.
2:24We constantly are doing dynasty advice, redraft advice, but it's not quite redraft season.
2:28The moment we get to late July, early August, that's when we'll start changing gears and start talking more redraft.
2:34And then in season, we're always giving weekly advice before start sits, before kickoff, we're doing start sits and a lot of betting advice.
2:42So yeah, full slate. Very busy. For sure. For sure.
2:45And I love that. Yeah, that's the cool thing about the about football, the football calendar.
2:50It's it's it's year round, especially if you're dabbling in the dynasty and best ball and all that.
2:56So there's content year round. Obviously, you're producing a ton of it.
2:59It's awesome to see. Let's dive back in your backstory, though, when it comes to just sports.
3:05Where did that love and passion for sports come from?
3:08So being six foot eight, I kind of was supposed to be an athlete.
3:12And fortunately for myself, I was a pretty good athlete, played football at a very high level.
3:17But in high school, I was the male athlete of the year because I was great at volleyball, basketball, rugby, won championships
3:24in all those sports, played football in a city league.
3:27I like the violence of the game ended up becoming an offensive tackle here in Canada because I am Canadian, played at
3:34the University of Concordia, where I did relatively well.
3:37And then, you know, I had my shot at the CFL and unfortunately had a career ending injury very early in my career.
3:44But yeah, I mean, just love the game, love the sport.
3:48And I feel like I bring a different approach to fantasy football because I've been, you know, there and I know the
3:55more analytical side of schemes and whatnot. Offensive line is my passion.
3:58It's what I play. That's what I know. Yeah, I imagine that obviously, you know, really shapes your perspective in a different
4:05way compared to most analysts out there. I haven't lived that experience.
4:09And I love the background with so many different sports.
4:12Growing up, did you have favorite teams, favorite players across the sports spectrum?
4:16The New England Patriots, by far and away, named after Drew Bledsoe.
4:20So diehard New England Patriots fan. It's a family tradition.
4:23We love the New England Patriots. I'm a Toronto Raptors fan, but as you can see, I'm also a diehard Kobe Bryant fan.
4:30My black lab is named Kobe Bryant. This is pre-helicopter incident.
4:34So, yeah, those are my two teams. Don't really follow any other sport.
4:38I've kind of put basketball on the back burner after the Raptors won a championship, have not followed basketball since.
4:44So I don't even know what's going on in the NBA right now.
4:48Well, I'm with you. I'm a Seattle guy. So my Sonics were stolen at one point in time.
4:54And so it's been hard to hard to follow that game since that time.
4:58But hopefully there's some restoration there and the Sonics return and it brings back some of the glory of basketball in the Pacific Northwest.
5:05But as a fan or even as an athlete, obviously playing at a high level, what's the worst loss you ever experienced as a fan or an athlete?
5:14As a fan, worst loss I ever experienced as a fan, probably the undefeated season, losing to the New York Giants.
5:21And then I think the second worst loss as a fan is losing to the New York Giants the second time.
5:27Speaking of bad losses, I wish that you indicated that you were a Seahawks guy prior to inviting me on the show because I'm a Patriots fan.
5:36I don't like you right now, but it's OK.
5:39We'll figure it out. We'll digress. We'll get through.
5:41It is one of those things where we've definitely had our ups and downs, haven't we?
5:46I would trade last year for Super Bowl XLIX for sure.
5:50That's still a heartbreaker. Still something that's a sore subject.
5:53But all the respect to the Patriots, obviously. What a run in Tom Brady and all that stuff.
5:59I mean, what an incredible franchise to be a part of.
6:02It's cool that your family kind of goes back that far with Drew Bledsoe.
6:06Well, again, also a Washington person. So I respect Drew Bledsoe back in the days playing at Washington State.
6:12Incredible, incredible quarterback. I still can't believe that Tom Brady took over Drew Bledsoe because he was a pretty darn good quarterback.
6:19Drew Bledsoe, Tom can run with it. So let's go.
6:22Yep, yep. So but obviously on the other side of the sports spectrum is the joyful times, the good times.
6:29Do you have an all-time favorite moment as a fan?
6:32Yeah, Malcolm Butler interception. Yeah, no, I feel you.
6:34That's my worst moment. So that's how it goes.
6:37Malcolm Butler interception was, I mean, yeah. I guess it was the Malcolm Butler interception for sure.
6:43Yeah, how does the Malcolm Butler like instantaneous moment, how does that compare to you, compare like the Falcons, the 28-3 type deal?
6:50Like what's the difference in how you experience those moments?
6:53So the Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl where Malcolm Butler hit the interception, it was kind of like Murphy's Law.
6:59Anything that could go wrong would go wrong because the last two Super Bowls we were in was the, who was it?
7:06The Giants. Both times the Giants we lost. And I felt like it was deja vu.
7:11We were experiencing again some miraculous BS catches. And then on the one-yard line, it's like no matter what, you know for
7:18a fact that Marshawn Lynch is going to get the rock and he's going to punch it in.
7:23And then out of nowhere, you know, you've accepted defeat already.
7:27You're used to it. Two years, you know, two Super Bowls you've lost and you're ready to lose another one.
7:33You're surrounded by your football teammates because I was in college at the time and we were all at my house.
7:39And I was sitting on the couch just watching like this and I was obviously leaned into the television.
7:45And the moment the interception happened, like my legs didn't even straighten, but I levitated like 12 feet off of the ground.
7:52My head almost hit the ceiling, even though I'm 6 foot 8.
7:56But it was one of the most thrilling experiences.
7:59Whereas like the comeback, the 28 to 3 comeback, that was like a slow burn, right?
8:04That was a very slow burn. And I did a lot of drinking that day and, you know, it went from like
8:11depressive drinking after the pick six to celebratory drinking.
8:13I wish I could remember the whole Super Bowl, but I definitely revisited it several times because it was just absolutely epic.
8:20And James White was phenomenal. Yeah, a great breakdown on both those because it's true that the comeback, I mean, what a,
8:27you know, it was a slow burn. It was just like, just so methodical, just slow, piece by piece, drive by drive, just kind of making it happen.
8:36And all of a sudden, you know, they're there.
8:39But with the Malcolm Butler thing, I mean, as much as people, you know, I'm a biased Seahawks fan.
8:45I want to say, well, Seahawks deserve to win that.
8:48You know, all they had to do is punch it in.
8:51What Tom Brady did in that fourth quarter, I think a lot of people don't even realize.
8:57I mean, he was, he was incredible. I don't know why I can't off the top of my head, he was 14 for 14 or something like that.
9:05And just, you know, two incredible touchdown drives. I mean, just the comeback that they had in that game, you know, because
9:12I think the Seahawks, you know, right before the fourth had a, you know, had a pretty decent lead after a tight first few quarters.
9:20So incredible game, terrible moment for me. I was there.
9:23And so it's definitely extra, you know, heart, heart, you know, it's extra painful in my heart.
9:28But you know what I do? You know what I do?
9:32I say, I say I got to watch Tom Brady win the Super Bowl.
9:36So I twist it in my own head. There you go.
9:40Just to make myself feel better about it. The greatest to ever do it.
9:44Now, I will, I will say going back to that Super Bowl, I think the unsung heroes of that game were the
9:51inside linebackers for the New England Patriots. Dante Hightower and Jamie Collins, they did a tremendous job, like maintaining and bracketing Marshawn Lynch.
9:58And I almost said Marshawn Lloyd. What a shameful, shameful situation that is.
10:02But they bracketed Marshawn Lynch. They borderline shut him down and they didn't let him do what Beast Mode typically does against everybody else.
10:10So, yeah, I love that Seahawks team. But I'm glad that we got to be one of the best.
10:16Well, I'm happy for you because that was, it would have been pretty sweet to beat Brady and Manning back to back in Super Bowls.
10:23I definitely would have gone a long way for the legend that is the LLB.
10:28But they've done pretty darn good for themselves. What an incredible team.
10:32Right after this short break, we're going to talk about your passion for fantasy sports and how you found it.

11:14So when did you discover fantasy sports for the first time and what hooked you initially?
11:19It was my rookie season in college and the captains wanted to fill in a void of one of the players who had left.
11:27He had graduated. He moved on and they liked me.
11:30They knew that I loved the game. They knew that I was passionate about the game, but I'd never done fantasy football.
11:37I've always understood it, but never done it. And I drafted Jeffrey.
11:41Not Jeffrey. Is it? Who was the one? Brandon Marshall.
11:44I drafted Brandon Marshall in round one and he had a dud year when he was in Chicago.
11:49In the same year, I also drafted Trent Richardson in the second round.
11:53And it was one of the most painful experiences because I used my, it's like a student loan program.
11:59I used my OSAP money to buy into that league.
12:02And I was really hoping that my football knowledge and my research panned out.
12:07And both of those guys were absolutely duds. Trent Richardson year two was catastrophic.
12:11It was so painful. It was so painful. I mean, there was a glimpse of hope when he got traded to Indianapolis and that died quickly.
12:19So since then, you know, fantasy football kind of developed a monster in me and I never wanted to experience that loss ever again.
12:27So I just, you know, study really, really hard and make sure I know all the things that are going on with all the teams at all times.
12:35I keep a constant pulse on the NFL. Basketball helps me do that because the ADP is ever changing.
12:41And I mean, if you're doing sleeper or Yahoo, they don't adapt to the news until like six weeks after the fact.
12:48Right. Whereas with basketball, it's immediate. Josh Jacobs has a situation where Josh Jacobs is going to get faded.
12:54Rushie Rice has a situation again where she rice is going to get faded.
12:59So you. Yeah, that's where the monster was developed, though.
13:02That was the origin story of big draft energy.
13:05I love it. Now, do you have like a home league or one league that matters the most to you?
13:11Yeah, my home league. It's the same group of guys.
13:14And now the buy in is everybody chips in to go to the Super Bowl.
13:19So our buy in will pay for two tickets to the Super Bowl.
13:23We've been running this league for 12 years. I have yet to go to the Super Bowl.
13:28I don't keep that that that energy flowing, you know, kind of get that.
13:32You got to get that motivation to to win those tickets.
13:36That's amazing. That's a really cool experience. Any other like fun traditions you have with your league or that you've experienced over time?
13:43Uh, honestly, I like I find winning fun and I have not had fun in 12 years because I have not won that league.
13:50I've won many other leagues, won some community leagues, but I have not won that league.
13:55So that league is not fun at all. It's all business, strictly business.
13:59It'll be fun when I'm at the Super Bowl.
14:02Oh, it'll it'll be it'll be incredible. Uh, is there, uh, is there one person, uh, that's this you consider your biggest
14:09rival in fantasy and are they in that league?
14:12Uh, my biggest rival in fantasy football is not in that league.
14:16It's actually my business partner and another content creator.
14:19Uh, that's my guy Sleazebomb. Uh, we partnered up together.
14:22We created what's called the, the, uh, the guys FF Patreon.
14:25Uh, G-U-Y-Z. Um, and yeah, like we disagree on about everything, but what, where we do agree is our friendship.
14:31I believe you met him last year at the expo.
14:34If you were there, um, yeah, we, we were inseparable and it was so cool to, to meet, you know, him in person.
14:42And we've just been two peas in a pod who just get along great, great friends.
14:47But in terms of fantasy football, we absolutely hate each other.
14:50Like right now on Twitter, we're arguing about Greg Dolchich.
14:53Uh, I mean, I'm like super anti Greg Dolchich.
14:56I'm telling you, you know, the scheme that made tight ends relevant in Miami is now calling plays in Los Angeles.
15:03And he's like, well, he's just around 20 flyer.
15:05I said, I wouldn't draft him in round 30, let alone round 20.
15:09So not a flyer, just a wasted pick. He's, he's on my fading bunch this year.
15:14I love it. That's the fun part about the rivalries and fantasy, um, you know, in your leagues or in the community,
15:21you know, just, just the, the, the good old fashioned banter, you know, the going back and forth and then fighting over Greg Dolchich in, in May.
15:30That's pretty, uh, pretty, that's what it's all about.
15:33Yeah. Do you have a favorite moment playing this game?
15:36Like a favorite moment associated with fantasy football for you?
15:39There's two, there's two, uh, Sam Laporte is rookie season.
15:42When he got drafted to the Detroit lions, I created the hashtag hashtag Laporta supporter.
15:47And I said, he will be the tight end one on the season.
15:51I had many content creators call me clickbait. Those content creators have not messaged me with an apology, his rookie season yet, but, uh, I have those receipts.
15:59I apologize. My, I got three, three puppies and, uh, my wife is not home, but, uh, we're going to try to speak over them.
16:07Hey guys, I'm talking over here. Um, but yeah, long story short, uh, that was one of my favorite moments as a
16:14content creator, because I put myself out there and my entire community became hashtag Laporte supporters.
16:19Um, we did a lot of giveaways with the hashtag Laporte supporter.
16:23Even in my, my intro song. Now Laporta supporters thrown in there because Sam Laporte was absolutely phenomenal.
16:28And he was kind of the guy who gave me, you know, credence.
16:33He, he, he gave me sort of merit in the fantasy football industry.
16:37And then the year after that, I said, Jamar chase, no matter what.
16:41And I said, he's going to be the triple crown.
16:44He's going to be the best wide receiver in football.
16:47I said my first show, which was early May and, you know, he was absolutely outstanding and made me a lot of
16:54money in basketball and fantasy football that year. Fantastic.
16:57It's, it's fun to have those takes that hit like that.
17:00Um, with this game though, obviously a lot of different ways to play it.
17:04Uh, you know, you talk about your, your passion for best ball.
17:08Uh, what are your favorite formats and settings in the game?
17:12And obviously I'm, I'm sure you'll, you'll share a little bit more about that passion for best ball.
17:17Well, like I like basketball because I used to do mock drafts, but the mock drafts don't give you the satisfaction at the end, right?
17:25You want to get that fixed, which is fantasy football.
17:28You want to draft, you want to draft a lot.
17:31And more importantly, you want to draft with real competition.
17:34That's why best ball is great. Yes. The money aspect is fantastic, but it's real competition for all 20 rounds.
17:41If you're doing a mock draft on Yahoo or on sleeper, well, people make their first two picks and then they auto draft the rest of the draft.
17:49Whereas for 20 rounds, whether it be a $2 entry or $15 entry, you know, for a fact, that these people are
17:56going to give you their best shots and you're going to learn ADP and it's going to make you better everywhere else, especially when redraft season comes along.
18:05So redraft is always my heart. We always go back to redraft.
18:09I love dynasty. Dynasty's been really fun. It's been really cool.
18:12It's completely different strategy, but best ball kind of makes me better at every other aspect.
18:17The one thing I do hate, or there's two things I hate.
18:21I hate kickers and I hate leagues with team defense.
18:24IDP, I'll do one IDP league a year. I'm not the greatest IDP guy.
18:28I do no ball. So I'll always, you know, try to get the sleepers in terms of defensive prospects.
18:34But like, yeah, you can miss me with the whole IDP nonsense and the team defenses and kickers.
18:40I will not, I refuse. I refuse to be in a league with kickers.
18:44And I respect that. Yeah, I respect that. I mean, they do, they often mess up matchups and throw off, you know, leagues.
18:51And so I, you know, for people that are out there that are, that are dropping those kickers and defenses, I, you know, totally respect that move.
19:00I don't, I don't play, I don't think I play in a single league with a kicker right now.
19:06I respect that. Yeah. Yeah. Even over the last few years, I haven't had a kicker in my lineup for, for years
19:13and that's in a lot of leagues. So I'm with you on that.
19:17You know, and I love what you said about best ball and all, you know, going back to even the beginning when
19:24you said you like to have, you know, you got a good pulse on the game.
19:29I feel like, you know, just seeing the, the ebbs and flows of, of the best ball ADPs, you know, throughout the
19:36off season, it leads right into, into redraft season.
19:38So you, you have a good feel of, of the trends and what's moving, you know, what, where things are going for
19:45from, um, you know, much more than obviously than the person that picks up a magazine or whatnot in, in August to,
19:52to get ready for their, you know, their home league.
19:55I mean, you're just so much further advanced with, with knowing how things are going.
20:00So gotta love that. Definitely encourage that. I'll give a shout out again to, uh, to that, the site that you, uh, you are so connected with.

21:05to research and, and doing this thing? So I would say, uh, a good friend of mine and a mentor and somebody
21:12who I absolutely admire is Derek Brown. Anything Derek Brown posts.
21:15Sure. I'll disagree with sometimes, but like I was a fan long before I became a friend and like we became friends instantly and God bless that human.
21:24He's fantastic. Pat Fitzmorris. Love that guy to pieces.
21:27Uh, Sal Vetri. I like him. We're not friends.
21:30We've never met. Um, he doesn't answer my DMS.
21:33Maybe one day. Uh, I like Mason. I like Mason Dodd.
21:36I think Mason Dodd's absolutely brilliant. Um, he, he actually, he, he's not, he's not opposed to networking.
21:42So yeah, he's a cool guy, but all in all, I think D bro is like his word is bombed.
21:48Yeah. He's a great, great, great person. Like you said too.
21:51Um, you know, what, what was it that, uh, that kicked off this inspiration for you to, to get involved in the community and start creating content?
22:00Well, I was giving friends, fancy football advice. I was doing ridiculous amount of mock drafts.
22:05And I was, as I said, like obsessive because that first experience turned me into a monster and I would be obsessive
22:12doing drafts in like the moment that the rookie draft is done.
22:15I would just crush mock drafts, try to get in as many leagues as possible, try to win as many leagues as possible, just try to be better.
22:24And my wife's like, you're doing this anyways. Why not do it on YouTube?
22:29I was like, that's a great idea. So I'm doing what I typically would do.
22:33I I'm drafting, but now I'm doing it with a community and it's so much funner to, to, to do it with,
22:40you know, your regulars and also constantly growing a community because I think a lot of people, when they do the content
22:47creation thing, their goal is to get monetized. Their goal is to get big, their goal is to get recognized and they lose the plot.
22:55Right. And the way they lose the plot is sometimes they go into the whole like clickbaity thing where they just want
23:02to put out hot takes so they can get a lot of views.
23:06It was never about the views for me. It was never about being clickbaity.
23:10It's just about being my true authentic self and, and, you know, drafting with, with sharp fantasy football minds.
23:16And I'm very lucky that our community grew the way it did.
23:20That's awesome. Now, can you describe the style of your content and, and do you have any like strong philosophies in fantasy football that you stand by?
23:28So I believe I'm the founder of the ROI theory, the return on investment theory, where I project players production based off
23:35of schedule, based off of offensive line strength and based off of their opposing defenses that they, they face.
23:41Obviously you've got to also look at scheme and whatnot.
23:44And I look at where players are currently being drafted and you can either get a positive ROI, a fair ROI, or
23:51a negative return on investment, which is going to be costly.
23:54So I draft simply based off of ROI and ADP is the tool that tells you what ROI is.
24:00I don't think anybody's a complete fade where you're not going to draft them other than Greg Dolchitz.
24:06Shout out to my guy, Sleazebomb. But, but if, if there, a lot of people are very emotional creatures, right?
24:12A lot of people want to pay the piper for performances of last year.
24:17A lot of people want to fade players for performances of last year.
24:21For example, Brian Thomas Jr. I was very, very in on Brian Thomas Jr.
24:25Last year. Unfortunately, the hospital balls in the preseason affected him.
24:28He played hurt the entire year. Now he's around six value.
24:32I think there's nothing but positive return on investment where you're currently drafting in comparison to where you drafted him last year.
24:39So why not draft a lot of Brian Thomas Jr.
24:42So it's all comes down to return investment. I look at draft capital like stocks.
24:47That's fantastic. And again, it may just makes me think again, when you talk about best ball and, and, and knowing the
24:53pulse of ADP through the off season, you can really, you know, once it's, it's draft season, you know, for redraft, uh,
25:00you, you know, you truly do have a good understanding of, of, of ADP and if it's high or low and, and,
25:07and I can see how that, that probably works really well for you when it comes to just thinking of it as
25:14a, you know, return on investment and all that.
25:17So awesome stuff. Now, what has been this, the most rewarding part of this experience for you, this journey in the fantasy space?
25:24Oh God. Um, so when I had initially started creating content, my goal was if I hit this milestone where I become
25:31monetized on YouTube, my goal is to give back.
25:34And we lost my father recently, um, three, four years ago to, to cancer.
25:38And, um, it's never easy to watch somebody struggle, but, um, hospice and palliative care made it easier on us where he
25:45had that at home care daily to make him comfortable and give him, you know, some sort of pride in on the
25:52way out because it's really difficult times, right? You, you want to have that dignity and they dignified him.
25:58And, uh, I found that very powerful. I found that very, um, helpful.
26:02And during an impossible time when you're losing a loved one, right?
26:06When it's inevitable, when it's one of those terrible sicknesses, um, we know that it's impossible.
26:11Nothing is easy. Life sucks. And the only thing that helps families, in my opinion, that helped us was the hospice and palliative care for dignifying my father.
26:19So I said, when we get monetized, we're going to create a 24 hour draft of fun where we do a fundraiser
26:26for local hospice and palliative care here in my hometown.
26:29Um, and like guys like Scott fish, you know, the King of philanthropy, the moment I brought it to his attention, he was like, I'm all in.
26:38I brought it to Derek Brown's attention. He shared like my first experience meeting Derek Brown at the fantasy football expo two
26:45years ago was I brought this to his attention.
26:47I introduced myself. I said, I want to do a fundraiser for hospice and palliative care.
26:52I'm really close to getting monetized. I would love to have you on as a guest.
26:57And he shared his story about what he used to do for a living prior to doing content.
27:03He was a male nurse and he has an affinity for that.
27:07He understands the struggles. And for two years in a row, both of those guys have been incredible.
27:12We've had many, many, many donations. Drafters has been incredible.
27:16Last year we had more sponsors come in. Shout out to bull rush.
27:20Bull rush is a fantastic sponsor for us. Uh, shout out to our guys, better vision.
27:25I don't know if you know, uh, Brett, but Brett's fantastic.
27:28So better vision was there. We had many sponsored men, people, and it continues to grow and people for 24 hours, not
27:35just the community, but the content creators. I was not alone for the last two years.
27:40We've done the 24 hour draft a thon. I had maybe more than three, four guests on at all times, even during the dark hours.
27:48So, I mean, even if I wanted to quit because it is difficult to speak for 24 hours straight and fantasy football
27:55draft or do fantasy football drafts for 24 hours straight, they would not let me falter.
28:00And they would pick me up and they'd say, push through, you know, you know, this cause is greater than you.
28:06So, um, yeah, I think that was, and still is the most rewarding thing is, you know, being one of those guys
28:13and then just seeing how, I mean, you, you've mentioned the, the fantasy football expo, like everybody who's anybody's there and it's
28:20just summer camp for fantasy football fans and content creators and everybody's having a good time.
28:25Everybody's enjoying each other's company and, you know, you're talking football, but you're also, there's a human aspect where you just get to let loose.
28:33And yeah, I recommend the fantasy football expo to anybody who wants to network or meet, you know, these fancy football legends because they're all incredible.
28:41Pat Fitzmaurice, Andrew Eccleston, all those guys, fantastic people.
28:44Can't say enough kind of things about the fantasy pros.
28:47Yeah. I was going to say, um, uh, you know, incredible, you know, story there.
28:51Obviously it definitely, um, exemplifies, uh, this great community that, you know, that we have with fantasy, um, so many incredible people,
28:58like you mentioned, you know, we'll talk a little bit more about the expo in a short bit.
29:04Um, but yeah, I can see why that would be a rewarding experience to have that type of, of love, you know,
29:11wrapped around, you know, such a, such an important, uh, movement for you.
29:15Uh, and you obviously, you have named several people that have been in big impact on you.
29:20Is there anyone else that, that has just during this run, uh, in, in this space, um, that has, have it really impacted you?
29:28Greg Kellogg, without a doubt. He's one of the OGs of fantasy football.
29:32You know who Greg is. Oh yeah. Yeah. He's first ballad, uh, fantasy sports writers association hall of famer.
29:38We wouldn't be playing this game that we loved.
29:40We wouldn't be talking fantasy football. It wasn't for Greg Kellogg.
29:44He is such a wholesome, wonderful, uh, individual, unless you're talking about the Detroit lions or the Michigan, uh, Wolverines, then, then things can get really aggressive.
29:52But, uh, that guy's my idol. That guy's my mentor.
29:55I went to the fancy football, uh, for the first time just to meet him.
30:00And he literally just introduced me to everybody. So I don't think I'd be where I'm at without my mentor and my friend, Greg Kellogg.
30:08Yeah. He he's been amazing. And you're right. I mean, that's a perfect description.
30:12He just, he goes out of his way to meet everybody and to introduce people and to just be a supporter.
30:19Um, he just gives, gives so much back. And so that's a, that's a great, a great name, a great man to mention.
30:26Uh, and with this experience, obviously you've, you know, kind of, you've dove into content creation.
30:31You've, you've experienced the community. You've experienced your community that you built, you know, when it comes to followers and listeners and
30:38viewers, uh, which is all incredible stuff. There's a lot of people that do want to kind of get more involved in
30:45the space, or maybe they're involved and they just want to, to, to retire levels.
30:49Uh, do you have any advice for people out there in the fantasy community that want to do more and want to get more involved in content creation?
30:58Like, like anything in life, you got to fall in love with the work, right?
31:03Cause if you don't fall in love with the work, the content's going to struggle.
31:08Your work is going to struggle. The monetization is going to struggle.
31:11That's all going to struggle. If you fall in love with the work, create your own process, make sure that you love it.
31:19It'll be rewarding, not just financially for you, not just in terms of viewership, but at the end of the season, it'll
31:25also be rewarding because you put the, your due diligence to, to get your research.
31:30A lot of people will just say, Oh, I hate Travion Henderson this year because Ramond Jason Stevenson was great last year.
31:37That's not a take, right? There's no merit to that.
31:40There's no analytics. There's no upside to that whatsoever.
31:43That's just click baity nonsense. And yes, sure. Clicks turns into followers.
31:47Sometimes, especially if you're right, you're, you know, a broken clock is right, but fall in love with the work.
31:53You have to have a work ethic. You have to fall in love with the work in anything you do in life.
32:00So if you fall in love with, you know, the research and do your due diligence behind the scenes, you'll have integrity behind your product.
32:08And that's the most important thing. That's yeah. That's outstanding advice.
32:11And it makes me think that, you know, I think that when people see and trust and believe in the authenticity, you
32:18know, around the, the analysts behind the analysts, I think they're obviously more forgiving when, when takes don't hit, you know, you know, they trust the process.
32:26You know, they, they, they, they have more grace when it comes to the things that, that, that might not hit.
32:33And that's because again, they, they kind of, you know, they see the love, they see the passion behind it.
32:39And it's just, it's a lot easier to, to criticize clickbait and, and criticize hot takes.
32:44Well, they don't go right because there's no love and passion behind it.
32:48So that's a, it's a fantastic piece of advice there.
32:51And to add to your point. And like, I think grace is the perfect word.
32:56You couldn't have used a better word. Grace is such a fantastic word, but humility is also important.
33:02Like it's okay to be wrong in fantasy football because everybody's going to be wrong about something when it comes to fantasy
33:08football, just have the humility and the respect to acknowledge that like, I could be wrong, but this is the bet I'm
33:15making and I'm going to stand on it. And here's why that if you do that, if you follow that process and
33:22then do the work to back your research, whatever happens, that's between, you know, the fantasy gods and, and that said player.
33:29But, you know, you did your due diligence to, to, to verbalize it accordingly and, and to, to be authentic and, and just a good person in general.
33:38I love it. Now it's fantastic stuff right there.
33:41And right after this quick little break, we're going to talk a little bit more about the fantasy football expo.

35:53So yeah, so a couple of years back, you decided to head to the expo.
35:58What was that first decision about? What were you looking to get out of it?
36:03And then what surprises were there for you when you finally landed at the expo in Canton, Ohio and got to experience it firsthand?
36:10So I originally didn't want to go to the fantasy football expo because I was working full time.
36:16And it was a very big financial commitment to go from Canada to there.
36:20And there was an opportunity where Greg had introduced me to Bob Lung to have a booth and to not just grow
36:27my audience and my viewership and network, but also to promote the company that I work with.
36:32And shout out to Drafters Fantasy. They sent me to the fantasy football expo and got me a booth.
36:38And the rest is history. So Drafters Fantasy, they've been supportive in everything that I've ever done.
36:44And a lot of people connect me as not necessarily the face of fantasy because a face of Drafters Fantasy because there's

37:36it is an emotional, great experience that every diehard football fan should experience once in their lifetime.
37:41Yeah, if you've been a kid, if you've been a fan of football since a kid, you go to the Hall of Fame, it all hits you.
37:50It all comes back. And I think you mentioned earlier too, a couple of times where you met someone you knew for the first time at the expo.
37:58And that's, I think, one of the coolest things that we've all experienced over the last few years is meeting people that you've already considered as friends.
38:07But then you also mentioned meeting some of the people you looked up to, like Adebro and stuff.
38:12Meeting these guys for the first time in person.
38:15It's such a great experience. Highly recommended getting out to the expo.
38:19So, because you get to know people on a different level.
38:22There's a lot of conversations that take place that have nothing to do with football.
38:27And I think that's one of the best parts is you can really get bonded with people in the community and find your place.
38:35And I've also seen a lot of people find connections when it comes to careers and professional pathways that have led to big opportunities.
38:42So, whether you're looking to meet some friends, have a good time, bring your league.
38:47Bring your fantasy football league and get some great advice.
38:50So many different reasons to go to the expo.
38:53But whatever the reason is, you're most likely going to achieve your goal because it's that kind of environment.
38:59Bob's put on an incredible event these last few years.
39:02Yeah, Bob's amazing. So, talk about getting to know people a little bit deeper.
39:06We're going to dive into just some rapid-fire questions.
39:09It's kind of a GOAT-themed segment. We're talking about greatest of all time from your perspective.
39:14We're talking a little bit of football, but more just some random stuff in life.
39:19But first, we'll start with, what's the all-time favorite fantasy football player for you?
39:23Sam Laporta. Rookie season. Okay. Yeah, you already explained it.
39:26Obviously, the Laporta supporter. Hashtag Laporta supporter. Yes, sir.
39:29There we go. There we go. How about an all-time favorite TV show for you?
39:34Oh, God. That's a good one. That's a really good question.
39:37All-time favorite TV show? I don't think I have an all-timer, but I think Daredevil.
39:42The fact that Daredevil, there's a new season, and they've come back.
39:45I think Daredevil's got to be up there. Punisher was great, too.
39:49I'm a big Marvel guy. A lot of my thumbnails, my intro, it has a lot of Marvel aesthetic and concepts.
39:56So, yeah. Daredevil, the live series on Netflix, now on Disney+, is probably my favorite.
40:00There we go. How about an all-time favorite? What's the GOAT movie?
40:04What's your all-time favorite movie? Oh, God. Avengers Endgame.
40:07Yeah. You know, it's hard to... I recently asked, he said the same thing, and he's like, this is kind of a lame answer.
40:14I'm like, that's not a lame answer. I mean, it's so unique.
40:18It's so incredible. It was a masterpiece. Yeah. And then Interstellar would be a close second.
40:23Interstellar was phenomenal. Yeah. Okay. I love it. How about a sports movie?
40:27Oh, God. Honestly, it's a very underrated one. I think The Replacements.
40:31Okay. The Replacements is so good. It just, it's a feel-good movie.
40:35There's great comedy. Good football. Keanu Reeves is fantastic.
40:38The scene in the jail cell where they're all singing to Aretha Franklin's I Will Survive.
40:43Like, come on. There's, it's literally the happiest moment in movie history, let alone football movie history.
40:48So, every once in a while, I'll see someone wearing that jersey of, you know, Keanu Reeves jersey, you know, from the replacement.
40:55Shane Falco. Yeah, Falco. Falco jersey. Pretty awesome stuff right there.
40:58How about a favorite video game of all time?
41:01You got one of those? Madden or Call of Duty.
41:04Doesn't matter the Call of Duty. I'll play it all.
41:08I love Call of Duty. Perfect. Perfect. How about a favorite artist or band or musician of all time?
41:13Oh, God. I would say my favorite artist of all time is J.
41:18Cole. But like, favorite band of all time? Oh, that's a tough one.
41:22Boyz II Men. I love it. That's a good one right there.
41:25Yeah. I mean, if you like R&B, there's just nothing more R&B than Boyz II Men.
41:30I do like my R&B. There we go. There we go.
41:34How about the best meal ever? Either a meal you've had once upon a time or your last meal.
41:40You know, what would you put together? A Brazilian all-you-can-eat steakhouse where they give you the green card and they just come
41:47up with like the picanha, the filet mignon, the ribeye, the chicken, you name it.
41:51And they cut it right there. And the card's green on one side and saying, please keep bringing me meat and red
41:58on the other side when you've had enough. The meat sweats is fantastic.
42:02It's just, yeah, all-you-can-eat-eat is steakhouse. Doesn't matter where.
42:05Just all-you-can-eat-eat-eat steakhouse. The meat sweats are fantastic. That's the quote of the show right now.
42:10I love it. I mean, you're not Big Jaffer Ranger without the meat sweats.
42:14Well, there you go. And a 6'8 office alignment.
42:17I mean, that answer does not surprise me one bit.
42:20Like, bring that meat. I love it. How about the best beverage of all time?
42:25What's the goat beverage for you? Well, Greg, my gut friend Greg, would tell you Mountain Dew is the beverage of the
42:32gods, but it's got to be vitamin water. Everybody knows that I can't do a show or a stream but yeah, dragon fruit, vitamin water, my favorite beverage.
42:41That's it. I love it. How about a favorite vacation you've ever been on?
42:45My honeymoon in Fiji. Hard to beat Fiji. Wow.
42:48That sounds great. Sounds great. Do you have a bucket list travel destination someplace you got to get?
42:53A Super Bowl. Okay. Okay. Full circle. There you go.
42:57A Super Bowl. That league. I want to win it.
43:00A Super Bowl from your fantasy football league. It all makes sense.
43:03I don't care where. You don't care. There's not one city that you'd prefer that Super Bowl to be in.
43:10One city I would prefer that Super Bowl to be in would probably be Buffalo because even though I'm a diehard Patriots
43:17fan, my father-in-law, God bless him, they're from Niagara Falls which is right across the border there.
43:22And he's a diehard Buffalo Bills fan. Sorry I converted your daughter into being a Patriots fan.
43:27But no fan base. I've done 17 stadiums now.
43:30No fan base. No city has a better, more down-to-earth, just good time fan base.
43:35And they don't care who, like we're bitter rivals but they are great sweet people.
43:39I mean the mustard and ketchup thing, that's weird.
43:42The jumping through tables, that's weird. But like hey, everybody's got their quirks.
43:46I think that's their quirks but a Super Bowl in Buffalo would be cool just because it'd be winter, brand new stadium
43:53and just the fan base and the city itself.
43:56Like very, very good, wholesome, down-to-earth people. Good people.
43:59Good people for the win. I love it. That's awesome.
