Amon-Ra St. Brown

NegativeValue14:42

Playing Amon-Ra St. Brown over Christian McCaffrey was an egregious DFS decision. Despite receiving 22 targets and scoring 11 points, Amon-Ra was far inferior to CMC, who had only 7-8 targets but scored 14 points on the first drive alone with massive ceiling potential. Mattek drew a hard line at this 1v1 comparison, calling it 'egregious' and stating 'There's no way that's good.' Mattek tried to avoid playing Amon-Ra but found no viable alternative receiver for the slate, forcing him to include St. Brown in his winning lineup despite preference to fade him. He later swapped away from Amon-Ra to Puka Nacua as part of a strategy adjustment.

Insight page

Baker Mayfield

PositiveValue10:50

Baker Mayfield was a strong DFS value play at 1% ownership in a 350K tournament despite high correlation to chalk plays (Bijan Robinson, Christian McCaffrey). The source notes that Baker's low ownership made no sense given the high probability that if the chalk stack hit, Baker would also score; playing Baker at super-low ownership allowed stacking high-projection players (CMC, Bijan) while maintaining tournament upside. Simulations with Baker paired with chalk pieces like Bijan, CMC, Puka, Godwin, Hurst, Auten, and Kyren produced the best lineup results.

Insight page

Bijan Robinson

NegativeBust3:36

Davis Mattek did not play Bijan Robinson in any of his tournament teams and did not think he was a particularly good play; he believed David Gibbs was so superior to Robinson that Robinson was not a tournament play despite the pressure to roster him. Fading Bijan Robinson without Brian Robinson in the lineup is a significant mistake; when Brian Robinson is absent, the backfield touches are consolidated, making Bijan a must-play in that game context. The source preferred two 20-touch running backs over Bijan Robinson paired with a tight end with zero upside; Bijan's workload was evaluated as limited compared to elite backs. However, Robinson was included in the source's winning DFS lineup alongside Jordan Love, Christian McCaffrey, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Matthew Golden, Ted Hurst, George Kittle, and Kate Otten, and was played as chalk in a 350K tournament lineup.

Insight page

Braelon Allen

PositiveValue3:00

Braelon Allen was identified as good value at running back at a lower price point. He was played over Cade Otton and praised as a great DFS play; Allen recorded 17 carries and 6 targets, outscored Woody Marks by approximately 12 points, and finished as a top-10 running back on the slate. Allen's elite workload (15+ carries, 5+ targets per game), size, speed, and talent level were emphasized; he should be priced way higher. He's a legitimate three-down back with elite talent, not just a volume play—every time he has the ball he could easily break one for 60 yards. Size-adjusted he's fast, comparable to Brandon Jacobs. Co-host MBF won with the Keenan and Braelon version of the speaker's team.

Insight page
PositiveValue27:58

Braelen Allen was selected in Mattek's DFS lineup over Jaquavious Woody Marks as the running back option, representing a preference for Allen's profile over Marks' inefficient production. Allen outscored Marks by approximately 12 points on the slate, demonstrating he is a legitimate talent unlike Marks.

Insight page

Cade Otton

NegativeBust2:18

Despite projecting well (around 10 points depending on source), Cade Otton was criticized as a bad process play; his projection was higher than any game he'd scored all season, but it was dismissed as unreliable given his historical floor of 3 for 36 regardless of personnel. It was called irresponsible to play him when better value existed at other spots. The source avoided Otton in favor of Braelon Allen as a DFS play. However, every optimizer tool recommended Otton as a strong cash game play alongside Ted Hurst and Chris Godwin. The Hurst-Otton situation was funny because Bryce Young played one of the worst games of his life with only 11 dropbacks, making projections for both tight ends unreliable.

Insight page

Christian Kirk

NegativeRole39:38

Davis Mattek played Kirk in DFS lineups, but Kirk was revealed late to be the emergency wide receiver for Tampa Bay—a role designation that was not reported beforehand. The source expressed frustration that this information was not available in advance, making it a problematic DFS selection.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

PositiveValue5:01

Davis Mattek identified CMC as a cash game lock and must-play chalk piece at $7,600 with the third-highest team total on the slate in the dome. CMC scored 14 points on the first drive alone with 7-8 targets, demonstrating massive ceiling upside; the 49ers had no other receiving options and ran everything through Kittle and CMC. Despite getting banged up mid-game, CMC outscored Puka Nacua and was far superior to playing Amon-Ra St. Brown in cash games. Mattek included CMC in his winning DFS lineup and called not playing him at this price 'completely insane,' giving himself the dunce cap for missing the elite value spot. CMC was featured as good chalk in the winning mid-season millionaire lineup and was a core chalk piece in a 350K tournament stack with Bijan Robinson and Baker Mayfield.

Insight page

Davante Adams

PositiveMatchup48:24

Davante Adams is the primary red zone target for the Chargers, receiving a significant portion of expected touchdowns in goal-line situations. When Adams is off the field, those expected touchdowns get redistributed, primarily to Puka Nacua and Davis Allen. The source emphasizes that red zone plays are specifically designed for Adams, meaning his absence directly elevates Puka Nacua's touchdown expectation and projection.

Insight page

David Njoku

PositiveValue45:38

David Njoku was used as a salary relief tight end play in a 350K tournament lineup. The source views Njoku and Kyle Pitts as tools to enable fancy plays by freeing up salary, allowing access to other desired plays while maintaining tournament upside.

Insight page

Davis Allen

NegativeProjection34:24

Davis Allen scored two touchdowns in a game where the source played Tyler Higbee instead, illustrating a missed DFS opportunity. Davis Allen was part of the Los Angeles Rams tight end rotation; route participation was unpredictable and appeared random, with Stafford's reads determining usage based on coverage. Davis Allen is a recipient of red zone targets when Davante Adams is off the field, receiving some of the expected touchdowns that would normally go to Adams. However, the primary beneficiary of Adams' absence is Puka Nacua.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

NegativeBust33:33

Davis Mattek played Waddle in DFS despite fine peripheral numbers (4 catches for 38 yards). Waddle got injured on an end-around play where he also fumbled, making him unreliable despite the workload. The source emphasizes: "You can't you can't play Jaylen Waddle" due to injury risk and poor execution, even when peripheral numbers appear playable.

Insight page

Jordan Love

PositiveValue3:58

Jordan Love was identified as the top points per dollar quarterback and clear cash game choice; 65% owned in the massive $50 double up; every site had him as a top five overall projected quarterback, with many sites ranking him as the top projected quarterback. He correlated very well with Matthew Golden. Davis Mattek recommended Love as a value quarterback at 6K salary for cash games, questioning how players could pass on the pricing given Love's elite status; he stopped short of calling him a 'stone lock' but expressed strong conviction in the value proposition. Love was the quarterback in the source's winning DFS lineup alongside Bijan Robinson, Christian McCaffrey, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Matthew Golden, Ted Hurst, George Kittle, and Kate Otten.

Insight page

Jordan Watkins

PositiveValue40:05

Watkins was an alternative DFS play that would have been superior to Kirk as the emergency receiver; the source expresses regret at not pivoting to Watkins in lineups, suggesting he had better upside in that role.

Insight page

Khalil Herbert

PositiveUsage28:28

Khalil Herbert received every touch that Brian Robinson would have received in his absence, accumulating approximately 9 carries. This consolidation of backfield work made Herbert a key beneficiary of Robinson's injury, taking all of Robinson's touches in the game.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

NegativeValue16:16

Kyle Pitts (referred to as Auten in the transcript) was used as a salary relief tight end play in a 350K tournament lineup. Mattek viewed Pitts and David Njoku (Hurst) as tools to enable fancy plays by freeing up salary, allowing access to other desired plays while maintaining tournament upside. However, Pitts was part of the chalk tight end group (alongside Hurst and Auten) that faced heavy ownership in cash games, creating risk of a zero at 80% ownership.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

NegativeRole23:19

Williams was in the doghouse with a reduced role after talking badly in the locker room, prompting McVay to bench him. He was half benched and splitting carries with another back in the game, significantly limiting his DFS value and increasing Puka Nacua's value by eliminating end-zone risk.

Insight page

Matthew Golden

PositiveValue3:51

Matthew Golden was identified as a cash game lock with a safe floor and insane ceiling; he could easily have a 35-point game and was compared to Keenan Allen in short-area stuff with additional deep upside. Everyone good at cash was playing him; he correlated well with Jordan Love. Davis Mattek identified Golden as a cash game lock recommendation for the DFS slate. Golden was included in the source's winning DFS lineup alongside Jordan Love, Bijan Robinson, Christian McCaffrey, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Ted Hurst, George Kittle, and Kate Otten.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

NegativeValue8:48

Puka Nacua was a brilliant DFS play with 11 targets for 35% targets per route run and nearly 0.8 wapper. With no Davante Adams and Kyren Williams in the doghouse, Puka eliminated end zone risk he normally carries, making him 'legitimately like one of the best plays' on the slate. Mattek was 100% getting Puka if paying down at both running back value positions, with ceiling potential around 35 fantasy points. Puka was played as a contrarian pick with the explicit strategy of fading projections; Nate's rationale was 'Forget the projections. I want to play Puka Nacua. Nobody else is going to play Puka. Puka's going to smash and I'm going to win the whole slate in cash.' At $7,500 in a 350K tournament, Puka's touchdown expectation increased significantly with Davante off the field, causing his projection to spike. Mattek swapped into Puka in a DFS lineup, replacing Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Puka was featured in the winning mid-season millionaire lineup. Playing Puka over CMC or Bijan Robinson was criticized as 'crazy' and inferior.

Insight page

Ted Hurst

NegativeProjection1:22

Ted Hurst was thrust into a big projection due to Tampa Bay's game circumstances, but projections between Hurst and Tez Johnson were described as a total guess because the Buccaneers' offensive configuration with Baker Mayfield at quarterback had never been seen before; snap counts were skewed by game script (up by a billion). Hurst was played at zero percent ownership in DFS and scored zero points; he was designated as the emergency wide receiver for Tampa Bay, information that was not reported beforehand. The source thought Hurst was set up for the role but acknowledges the Buccaneers game was wonky and doesn't want to take losses on that game.

Insight page

Tez Johnson

NegativeProjection10:10

Projections between Tez Johnson and Ted Hurst are a total guess because the configuration of players with Baker Mayfield at quarterback has never been seen before, making historical projection models unreliable. Mattek received multiple live-stream questions about Johnson and acknowledged the uncertainty in differentiating between the two tight ends in this unprecedented offensive setup.

Insight page

Tyler Higbee

NegativeValue34:24

Davis Mattek played Higbee heavily in DFS and PrizePicks but explicitly labels this as 'not sharp.' Higbee ran 77% of routes but underperformed relative to other Rams tight ends: Kobe Parkinson scored 48 yards and Davis Allen scored two touchdowns in the same game. Simulation models showed Higbee at -1.4% ROI with slightly too much ownership, indicating the source was chasing production from weeks 3-5 when Higbee performed well.

Insight page

Woody Marks

PositiveValue3:00

Woody Marks was identified as good value at running back at a lower price point. He received 19 carries and 1 target at $5,600 DFS price; despite the source's criticism of Marks as a player, this was evaluated as a totally fine DFS play given the workload opportunity with David Montgomery out and the matchup against the Giants at home in the dome.

0:00Wait until you see how freaking lucky I got, man. Wait when you guys see when I turn over the cards on my lineup, you
0:07guys are going to be like, "How does Davis keep getting away from this?" You know, normally the deal with this program is how does Nate keep getting
0:14away with it? Um, and Nate did get away with it with some degree today and uh we're we're going to castigate him for
0:21that. Now, Sammy, I got to say pretty much every single week in cash this year, there's been a pretty obvious team. There's been very few choices at
0:32quarterback. There's been very few choices at tight end. Very few choices at wide receiver. I did not feel that way today. I think you could have gotten
0:40away I at quarterback, I think you could have justified Jordan Love. I think you could have justified C.J. Stroud. I really, really, really tried to justify
0:50Bo Nix to myself. The um the last text message that I sent you guys before lock was uh actually a team that would not
0:59have beaten mine but was a much better uh team than than I ended up playing uh at the end of the day. I mean, I I I
1:09It was just crazy and I mean, it all stemmed from one game. There was one thing that really threw the projection
1:15system for a loop which was the playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
1:22So, that thrust Ted Hurst into being this big projection and honestly, um a little a little bit of Like, what would you even call this? The
1:32fact that Cade Otton projected so well despite it being it having been two years since we we witnessed this phenomenon of him turning into prime Rob
1:41Gronkowski when the wide receiver one for the Buccaneers did not play.
1:45>> Yeah, it's so there was a couple things.
1:48First of all, I thought the choices at tight end and quarterback were very obvious. Um, I wasn't going to be caught
1:55dead playing Bo goddamn .5 A dot nix.
1:59>> [laughter] >> And the people who did got some lucky ass 60 yard rushing touchdown.
2:06Congratulations to you, happy for you, but like is terrible terrible terrible idea to play Bo nix and you got away with it. George Kittle was the obvious
2:15tight end play. And as for Cade Auten, I mean I didn't give two squirts what the damn projection said.
2:23Because the projection was like depending on where you looked it was like a 10 point projection and it's like Cade Auten is going to get three for 36
2:31always. It doesn't matter who's out, who's in, he's just three for 36. He didn't even get that today cuz the game
2:38was wonky but like dude his his projection was higher than hit any game that he had scored this entire season.
2:46And you don't see that very often and it's like okay A. Egbuka's out like that's cool but like I just I just didn't see that and and I
2:54thought that was a pretty bad process play too. It's like look we we had a lot of good value at other spots. We had a
3:00lot of good value at running back with the lower guys like Braelon Allen, Woody Marks. Um you know How how is that a bad spot on Cade
3:08Auten? How can you do that? It's irresponsible.
3:10>> No. No, honestly like I do and I'm looking at so this spoiler alert this ends up not impacting my cash game
3:18lineups at all due to something we're going to get to but I am looking at all my tournament lineups and I am like
3:23what why was I passing up on all these incredible incredible good plays? Like why am I passing up on Braelon Allen? Why am I passing up on
3:34>> Cuz you had to have Bijan honest.
3:36Cuz you just had to have Bijan. I don't know why you wouldn't have >> whenever whenever Nate decides to show up I I will disagree with that as well.
3:44I did not think like I didn't play Bijan in any of my tournament teams. I didn't think Bijan was a particularly good
3:49play. I thought Gibbs was so superior to him. The reason why um I mean, so let's go let's work let's start at quarterback, right? So the the
3:58quarterback that everyone played was Jordan Love. He was the top points per dollar quarterback. I think he was 65% owned in the massive $50 double up. Um
4:07he he was the clear clear cash game quarterback. I mean, in terms of raw points, every site had him as a top five
4:16um you know, overall projected quarterback.
4:19>> And many sites had him as the top projected quarterback.
4:23>> Yes, and and he correlated very well with Golden, right? So Golden was if you if you've never if you've never played
4:31uh if you've never played um cash games before, like basically Golden is just kind of exactly what you look like. He's like he's got the he's got
4:39the safe floor. He has got the insane ceiling, right? Like Golden could have a 35-point nuke very very easily. It's kind of like he's kind of like a combo
4:48of like I don't know, Keenan Allen in terms of the short area stuff, but then he also has like the J Like he just
4:55everyone who is good at cash was was playing Matthew Golden. So I I thought I thought these were the locks.
5:01>> Uh cash game locks were Christian McCaffrey.
5:03>> I thought they were Matthew Golden, and I thought they were George Kittle. And then honestly, Kittle to me, I actually
5:11realized in my lineup too late that I could have just straight up played Brevin Allen over George Kittle. And I think if I had thought through that a
5:19little bit more, I might have even done that. My my top conviction my like top top conviction of the day was that
5:27Brevin Allen was just like the absolute 900 MW giga best play of the slate.
5:33>> And then and then me and Nate played him, and you didn't. And I didn't. Yeah, I Jesus Christ. I mean, you lucked the
5:40goddamn hell out. Um but I I mean, I I thought those guys were locks, and I thought I thought Jordan Love, I never want to call a
5:48quarterback a stone lock, but like a guy who I I don't I don't think Jordan Love is the top quarterback and he's
5:55only 6K. Like, how do you how do you not play that? I don't I I don't get that.
6:01>> Yeah, I mean, I don't think that Jordan Love was like because I think these are the only two scenarios where where in my
6:08experience you can ever have stone cold cash game locks where it is one of the elite fantasy quarterbacks in the slate
6:15where there's obvious value. So, that would be basically Lamar or Josh when you don't really have to sacrifice anything to do it or when there is like
6:24a $4,800 $4,900 $5,000 quarterback who is in a good match up and they run. I I don't The quarterback position is so
6:34narrow banded the way the NFL is now because you just don't have like quarterbacks don't throw for 400 yards anymore. Quarterbacks don't throw for
6:43four touch Like, this this is something that scoring is just too low and yards are too low. It just doesn't really happen
6:49anymore. Like, a a quarterback score you're going to get on a given week is between 18 and 32, right? And that that banded
6:59projection does not exist the same way.
7:02You can lose a 1v1 at running back by 27 points. Like, pretty easily. Like, oh like happens quite a bit. Like, 1v1
7:10today, Woody Marks versus Tony Pollard, which is something that a lot of people would have had in tournaments. You legit lost that by 30. You lost that 1v1 by
7:1930, you know? And and that just I mean, I guess if a quarterback gets injured um that can happen, but I before before I
7:26on Nate, I do got to say, Nate, you made the play of the day at quarterback.
7:31You made the play that I wanted to play because the very last thing that I looked at was Bo Nix Braelon Allen and the New York Football
7:40Jets defense versus Jordan Love, Cade Otton, and spoiler alert, a defense I didn't end up playing, but the the Dolphins defense was who I had
7:49um in my lineup, which everyone else did. The Dolph- How funny is this? The Dolphins defense, the most owned defense in cash.
7:57That's a good bit. That's a good bit by the field.
8:00>> Great great bit. I thought it was going to be Tennessee.
8:03Um and I think those $300 just ended up mattering to a lot of people. So, but Tennessee was clearly a a really
8:12good play.
8:13>> I mean, Nate, you you played uh you you played Nix, so talk about I mean, I was not coward like I had this lineup
8:20sitting on my lineup page when I ended my live stream at 11:59 and I said I can't click save. I can't I can't do it.
8:27I can't click save on the on the Bo Nix lineup, so how did you how did you get there?
8:32>> Well, I mean, I think Bo Nix was always like an option for me. I think that the way that this season has gone for
8:39him has been the lowest of the low possibility from like range of outcomes.
8:43He's only getting healthier. If there was ever going to be a spot, it was going to be this week for him. Um
8:49and I thought that the salary made it work with Braylon and the Puka, that which is really what I
8:57wanted to do the whole time. And so, um I felt I felt like the Love thing was was not worth like it wasn't worth not getting
9:07Puka in for. And so, I it wasn't that I thought Nix was that much of a better play than Love. Like I thought Love was
9:12great, but I yeah, I mean, I just wanted to make the plays that I thought were going to get me the most expected production. And
9:19even though the projections weren't jamming Nix and Braylon, I just I just did an IKB before locking was like no optimizer is giving me this, but
9:29this is what I want to do.
9:30>> I So, so that okay, that right there is why I was having such a piss-offing time building lineups this morning was
9:37because every stupid optimizer thing I looked at was like Ted Hearst, Cade Otton, Chris Godwin. These are all really good plays and I couldn't get I I
9:46legit could not get like Gibbs stuff to sim well. Like the the type of stuff that was simming well, um you know, what's funny is uh Malik
9:55Willis was simming really good on Run the Sims this morning and I was like Malik Willis, dude, get out of here. I
10:00got to jam in more Jared Goff. Like we'll we'll get to the tournament. We'll get to the tournament stuff in a little
10:04bit. But like I just thought optimal lineups looked bad. I just thought I was like they they're this is all just so
10:10fragile. It's it's so like I got a a bunch of questions about about Tez Johnson this morning in my live stream
10:17and I was like, you know what? That's fine. Like normally normally I would be like, well, how could you do that? But
10:23I'm like, no, because the projections between Ted Hearst and Tez Johnson are a total guess. We've never seen this configuration of players with Baker at
10:31quarterback ever. We we don't really know what it will look like. I mean, and and I bet if I mean, actually I bet if
10:36we look at the snap counts, they played a bunch of 12 cuz they were up by a billion. I mean, the the Hearst Otton
10:43stuff is so funny because Bryce Young played the like I like maybe the worst game of his life today.
10:50Uh there were there were um 11 dropbacks. Baker Mayfield had 11 dropbacks. I'm going to guess that's the lowest of his career. I I would guess 11
10:58dropbacks is the lowest of his career, but um Nate, you made the right play at quarterback. You did. I honestly, after
11:04after I think you play this slate over a thousand times, I actually think playing Bo Nix was the was the correct play. So
11:10I I would like to tip my I would like to tip my hat to you because >> I'm I'm not I'm not tipping any god damn
11:15such thing and I am wearing a hat. Won't be tipping it to nobody.
11:19>> Sammy, Sammy, you this is kind of one of those things that sometimes I know the numbers might lead you a certain way,
11:24but sometimes you just got to watch a little football and know when someone's a baller.
11:28>> [laughter] >> Yeah, yeah, you just you just got to watch Bo Nix and know. Just know that like these dump offs to R.J. Harvey and
11:34slip screens to Marvin Mims are going to work out like that.
11:38>> that's what you're literally up for this. This was like >> That's what Bo Nix does. That's that's the whole offense.
11:43>> I know and that's not what I want. It's not what I want. I don't want it.
11:49>> No. No, Sammy, you know I you know I would rather side with you than Nate. I truly would, but Nate is right. Like
11:55Nick >> Yeah, yeah, no no no no no. It it's true. Congrats on your 222 passing yards and one passing touchdown. Good for you.
12:03I'm happy for you. You know, it's >> It's it's more It's more about It's more about the other plays that your lineup
12:11allowed. I honestly it really is more about >> Sure. Sure. Yeah. Yeah, it allows you to play Kate Otten in the in the goddamn
12:18flex. Like, you know, whatever.
12:20>> Well, no, I guess I guess Nate didn't do that.
12:23>> No, Nate Nate didn't play George Kittle.
12:25>> He didn't play George Kittle. I mean >> Nate did something Nate did something that I think is truly bad, but he's
12:31going to say is good. So, we'll we'll we'll get to that. So, uh you know what? We're further enough in the show. I'll tell you guys why I
12:37was able to [ __ ] smoke these guys by so much. Davis, here's the thing about run good. Davis, the only way Davis
12:42finally beats me is by getting 28 points from his freaking defense. Buddy, I I was I was like I mean, I think this lineup I
12:52played is dog water. I think it's terrible. I think this this team I played This team I played is is pure um
13:01I I was just afraid of the projection. I I I must have swept. I couldn't Oh, I I like won double ups. I I I
13:09believe >> You must have swept like me and you and Nate basically had the same score and we swept everything.
13:14>> I don't think I literally don't think I lost a head-to-head.
13:17Um so, I played I I played Jordan Love, Bijan Robinson, Christian McCaffrey, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Matthew Golden, Ted Hurst the Third, George Kittle, Kate
13:27Otten. Davis, how did you sweep? Well, I played the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense who got 27 fantasy points. Why did I
13:34play Why did I play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense? I'll tell you guys why I played the Buccaneers defense. I'm sitting there looking at this lineup and
13:40I'm like, first off, this is the worst train in the history of trains in cash games. Like it's just so bad that I'm
13:47not even going to feel like So, when you win with the train, you know, you you can kind of just be
13:53like, all right, well, you know, I won, like whatever. Let's move on.
13:56If I lost with this team going in where I'm like, this team sucks, dude. I have Ted Hurst, I have Cade Otton, I'm
14:02playing two tight ends. It's just uh it it's just like it's a it's a bad team.
14:07It's a it's a it it's truly not a good team.
14:10And I just thought, okay, well, what is the simplest 1 v 1 I can do to just like create a little bit of positive
14:16variance? Well, the simplest 1 v 1 is always defense, right? So, and it's like what the Dolphins defense is going to be
14:22How could the Dolphins defense chalk be good?
14:25You know, it's just like I'm not even saying I'm not I didn't do anything smart. I didn't do anything clever. I I
14:30played I played bad. Like the the team that I wanted to play was Bo Nix over Jordan uh Bo Nix instead of Jordan Love.
14:39Braelon Allen over Cade Otton.
14:42And um I don't know, some other some other I think I Well, I was also trying to not play Amon-Ra St. Brown,
14:50but there was no There really wasn't a good receiver to make it work. There was Oh, okay. Well, the thing I did almost
14:57do this, which would have been a hilarious L, is I almost played Keenan over St. Brown to get Braelon over over
15:04Cade Otton, which would have been >> good.
15:08>> Well, Braelon would have scored, then it would have been then it would have been equal.
15:11>> Yeah, Braelon should have scored. That was so >> Braelon It It was so It was so funny.
15:15Braelon takes them down. Braelon takes them down to the one. They get four plays from the one, and they end up
15:22kicking a field goal from the 17.
15:25I mean, it's just classic.
15:28>> back, like, what you doing? Like, of course the Jets lose. Like, >> Yeah, of course of course of course the
15:33Jets lose. But, I mean, it's just like I really at the end of the day I just hated this lineup so much. I think this
15:40is bad. I think no I think no Gibbs is I think no Gibbs like Bijan said, all right, well, hey, my guy MBF said the
15:47Keenan and Breylon team did fine. So, I mean, Breylon scored a lot of points.
15:51So, and a lot and like Breylon outscored Marks by what? Like, 12? He he like Breylon was like a top I mean, certainly
15:58a top 10 uh running back score on the slate. McCaffrey got banged up, which sucked, but like I don't know. Nate, tell me like this
16:06lineup sucks. Just say like even if it even if it had the Dolphins on it, this lineup is objectively not good.
16:12>> Yeah, I don't I I mean, it's a safe lineup is what it is. And I think that's the >> It's it it it's safe because you know in
16:19the in the way that cash games are played these days, everyone is going to be on Hurst and Auten and all that. And
16:25so, your risk of a zero at 80% owned is like not that >> does I Those guys are not the part that
16:30matters. I think my way of evaluating this is that giving up whatever from Bijan to Gibbs, although I think Bijan to Gibbs ended up
16:39scoring close cuz Gibbs ends up not having like that great of a game. But, it just to me it just >> twice to not get a touchdown at the end.
16:47>> Yeah, it it just it just feels >> have and may have >> sprained an ankle in the process.
16:52>> I think he did. I think he did. I I don't know. It's just like >> He twisted that he twisted that [ __ ]
16:56up pretty good, it looked like.
16:59>> And and Love um you know, Love over Nick's is real cowardice. Like, playing Saint Brown Like, Saint Brown's always a good play,
17:07but I didn't think he was like anything like a cash lock or whatever. And then honestly honestly Kittle instead of instead of um
17:16Breylon Allen, you know, it doesn't really >> Yeah, I I I don't think I would have done that. I think I would have gone
17:21with Braelon Allen. Even though it felt like very strongly that Kittle was going to smash. I know National Tight End Day
17:27is like not an actual thing that matters to scoring, but somehow it does.
17:32Um and I'm powerless to to argue with it. Uh and all the pass receivers were out, but like man, yeah, Braelon Allen
17:40is like dude, he's getting like 15 plus carries and five plus targets every game. He's giant, he's fast, he's playing a bad defense. Like that was
17:49you know, that was he was like such a great play. I can't believe you didn't play him. Like you were the one
17:53>> 17 carries, six targets. Braelon Allen is like a legitimate three down I mean he he he like yeah, he's his
18:02workload he he should be way way higher way higher priced.
18:05>> Yeah.
18:05>> Yes.
18:06>> Yeah, he >> And his talent level is there. He's not a dust ball like what like a lot of these other guys we play for volume. We
18:12don't also >> he's not Woody Marks.
18:14>> No, he's a legitimate run. I mean he's like every time he has the ball he could easily break one for 60 yards.
18:19>> Well, no, he can't do that cuz he's not very fast, but it's more just like you know that he's going to turn
18:25>> Size adjusted he's fast.
18:27>> Well, size adjust but size adjusting doesn't help you score 60 yard touchdowns.
18:32Helps you helps you score like 27 yard touchdowns where you break like three tackles for sure.
18:38>> all about the Brandon Jacobs.
18:40>> Yeah.
18:41>> Yeah.
18:41>> Derrick Henry is like a word.
18:43>> So Nate, I I got to say my lineup is cowardly for sure. Didn't did not deserve to win nearly as much as I did.
18:50>> And you got and you got lucky with the bucks. I mean that's essentially what it is.
18:53>> So so yeah, so lucky.
18:55>> It's a 18 point swing for you and I think you're probably are you bubbling at that point or no?
19:01>> Uh I have no idea.
19:04Well, no, MBF MBF said MBF said he won with the Keenan and Braelon version of my team. So no, probably still wins.
19:10>> Cuz it's the Dolphins was a 24 point swing for you.
19:14>> Well, here, what's the Here, I can go look at whatever the cash line was in the >> Yeah, I feel like if you scored 24 fewer
19:21points, Davis, uh you probably would've won.
19:24>> So, cash line in the massive $50 double-up positions paid 400.
19:29So, if I scroll down to four That's a long scroll down to 400 from where I'm at.
19:34>> Yeah, that's great.
19:35>> Oh, so it's This is just the train team.
19:37So, so you know what would've happened?
19:39The train team returned $51.31.
19:43So, I would have cashed and I would have won $1.31.
19:48>> [laughter] >> But But you know what? You know what?
19:52>> You deserve to win $1.30. Like, that's >> what, guys? I mean, do you know what is You know what is obviously so [ __ ]
19:58funny?
19:59Is there's no shot I would have stayed with the zeros from Tederst and Kincaid?
20:04And I'm still >> Yeah, you would've done something stupid.
20:06>> But But no, because I would have swapped to Bo Nix and Jaylen Waddle, which is what I did in all my tournament teams,
20:12which means I would have won.
20:14>> Yeah.
20:16>> That's Dude, okay, that's really that's really funny.
20:18>> That's That's tough. We missed a We missed a Davis gets there with the swap week. Hate it.
20:23>> All right. So, Nate, I I got to say, Puka Nacua in cash games on DraftKings.com, I think this was a
20:31brilliant move in tournaments. I think I It's something that I did. I planned to play Puka on some teams. I totally
20:37agreed with your thinking like Puka is going to be a unknown, yada yada, all all this, all that. I don't um I don't
20:43think I I think your your logic is is sound. I like the Bo Nix play.
20:50I think that um I think that Puka in the flex is crazy bad.
20:57>> I mean >> Yes.
20:58>> I think there's there's something to this idea of like when Puka is one of, if not He's one of the most talented
21:04receivers in the league. I In top five talented receivers in the league. Um and you expect him to be at full workload,
21:12which he was. He ended up getting 11 targets for another 35% targets per route run with a nearly point eight wapper. Uh
21:22I'll take it. I mean >> Playing playing him over Puka is [ __ ] crazy. It's crazy. It's crazy.
21:28>> Playing him over Puka Playing him over CMC is [ __ ] crazy. It's crazy, Nate.
21:34It's crazy, dude.
21:35>> Bonkers, brother. Bonkers.
21:38>> No. I I No. Puka in this spot >> [laughter] >> If he is all week long and Puka is healthy
21:43>> Puka would have been the play in cash.
21:45>> No. I Look, I agree. You know what? Play him over Bijan.
21:49>> There's no Davante. All of the end zone risk that that Puka normally carries is not there. Kyren is in the dog house.
21:56They're This was >> Devon Achane scored two touchdowns. What are you talking about? Dude, CMC CMC outscored Puka and CMC was gone for half
22:04the goddamn game. Like unbelievable, Nate.
22:06>> Dude, no. No. No. CMC The Puka thing Puka with no Davante and Kyren in the dog house is legitimately like one of
22:14the best plays on In the fact that it's like >> Why was Kyren in the dog house?
22:19>> Because he was talking bad in the locker room. Uh McVay's mad at him. He's He was He was half benched this game. He
22:25was splitting with Kyren.
22:27>> He was splitting with You're You're touching too much grass, bro. You got to take a step back.
22:32>> No. You got You guys got to get out a little bit. I seriously this Puka's thing was a smash.
22:37You're lucky Puka >> Nate's telling me I got to get out a little bit because I didn't [ __ ] play
22:42four wide receivers in cash. When's the last time it's been correct to play four wide receivers in cash? Like 2022?
22:49Nate Nate, this is also frankly Look, I'll even grant you that whatever. St.
22:55Brown over CMC? That's That's where I got to draw the line. I got to draw drawing at St. Brown over CMC.
23:02>> Egregious.
23:03>> I I actually frankly shout out to Rich Hair because I wouldn't have even I was so perturbed by CMC not being in the
23:09lineup. I didn't even realize that's just a straight-up 1 V 1. You just straight-up 1 V 1 Saint Brown. There's no way that's good. There's no way.
23:16>> There is There is no way, man.
23:18>> There's no way. No No planet, mate. No planet is that okay.
23:24>> Wait wait Did you have any money left over in this lineup? Was there a hundred left over or was it
23:29>> I don't even know. I Again, I like >> Well, it doesn't matter because CMC was 7,600.
23:34>> No, I'm telling you >> But but but what I'm saying is if he was 2,600 less than Amon-Ra, he could
23:38have gotten the Titans defense potentially.
23:40>> I I can't remember the last time I played a non-optimized lineup. Like this was literally just me manually going into the user interface and like
23:49I'm clicking around. I'm going I'm I'm going to get the most expected production out of this lineup. I just will.
23:54And I think >> is the kind of [ __ ] Let me just say this is the kind of [ __ ] that I've been
23:58doing, okay?
23:59>> Yeah. I'm just like >> a This is some real Sammy [ __ ] my kids hanging over me.
24:04>> I got kids running around me and I'm like, "You know what? You know what? I could get Bijan, Amon-Ra, and Puka all in the same lineup. Like
24:13the rest The rest be damned. I'm going to do it. And cuz those guys are just going to like smash everybody. And it's
24:19just like terrible play. Like I I mean, Nate, how do you play How do you play Amon-Ra over CMC? Why'd you do that for?
24:29>> I would do it again.
24:30>> No, you wouldn't.
24:31>> play this team again. I would genuinely play this team again.
24:34>> No. No.
24:35Nate, this is [ __ ] crazy.
24:38>> Oh my god, he's doubling down, folks.
24:40He's doubling down.
24:42>> Amon-Ra got 11 You're telling me I get 22 targets out of Amon-Ra.
24:47>> [laughter] >> CMC had like seven or eight targets and he was gone half the game, bro. Like they had no other players. Clearly they
24:55were going to do everything through Kittle and CMC. Like that of course they were going to do that.
25:01>> CMC had 14 points on the first drive, Nate. You lived You could have eaten a 50 burger. You could have taken a 50
25:09burger from CMC to the chin.
25:12No, dude. This is okay.
25:14>> I'm I'm not I'm not I'm not giving in here. I like >> No.
25:18>> I dude, I am not giving in here.
25:20>> Nate just IQ'd it. He's like, "Forget the projections. I want to play Puka Nacua. Nobody else is going to play
25:25Puka. Puka's going to smash and I'm going to win the whole slate in cash." Like Nate, dude, you are off your
25:32rocker. You lived to tell about it. You can't keep getting away with it.
25:35But yet you did. I I don't I I don't know how you're justifying this after the fact.
25:41I mean, we're on What year of this is the podcast? Or is this like year eight?
25:45>> This is like year >> This is like year 12.
25:48>> Yeah.
25:48>> Okay. All right. All right. Nate's 12-year streak of not taking the L is intact. We're good to go.
25:55>> No, I I actually think that's I think that's not fair.
25:58>> Puka didn't even need to be competitive in this game. If he needed Puka he would have had three touchdowns.
26:03>> I believe to be fair, Nate did take the L in his third consecutive week of getting four points from Jakobi Meyers.
26:10I think I think [laughter] in the third I think the third week of I believe it was the week before he was traded to the
26:16Jaguars. I think Nate said, "Okay. All right. I think that's a little [ __ ] up to keep playing >> I think I had some Geno Smith double
26:22triple quad stacks in cash three weeks in a row or something.
26:26>> [laughter] >> No, I I'm Nate, I I just like actually like I didn't even realize until going through your lineup play-by-play that
26:35you played CMC over Saint Brown or Saint Brown over CMC. I mean, that's just completely insane.
26:40Uh Mr. Whirling Dervish, you played Jordan Love, Christian McCaffrey, Jaquavious Woody Marks, Amon-Ra St.
26:47Brown, Matthew Golden, Ted Hurst III, George Kittle, Bralon Allen, and the Dolphins defense. I don't hate this lineup nearly as much as I as I thought
26:56I would. I thought I would hate a cottonless lineup uh more cuz to me curious you guys how you guys thought
27:05this. I thought Hurst was more fragile than Otten of of the two. It's just it was harder to fill a wide receiver spot, but if you weren't
27:14playing Bijan Like Nate, are you kind of having the same thought of I am is like where did Sammy's money go?
27:21>> I I think this is the third week of this year where I think drafting went into Sammy's account and like [laughter] he
27:26has like some setting in the API where he only gets 48,500.
27:30>> No, you I look at the lineup and I'm like What Where did it go? So he plays like >> last week last week I played so bad and
27:38I took the L. I said I played bad, all this stuff. This week I definitely played the best of the three of us. Like I don't think there's
27:45any question about it.
27:47>> see, I I'm going to I'm going to go ahead and disagree because you have Woody Marks in your lineup. So I think
27:52the >> Okay, that's This is a fair critique >> is Braelen Allen for Woody freaking Marks.
27:59>> No, no, no, he's got Braelen. He's got He's got Braelen.
28:01>> I have Braelen.
28:02>> them both.
28:03>> Oh.
28:04You faded Bijan. Oh my >> Fading No, no, Nate No, Nate's Nate's overreacting. Nate's overreacting. I'm fading Bijan is fine.
28:12>> No, fading Bijan without Brian Robinson is not fine in any way, shape, or form in this spot.
28:17>> No, it's it's fine.
28:19>> Thank you.
28:20No.
28:21You guys [snorts] You guys You guys are insane about this Bijan thing. Fading Bijan with Brian Robinson >> Okay, fading Bijan with no Brian
28:29Robinson Khalil Khalil Herbert took every touch that that that Brian Robinson would have. Every single one. He got like he got like nine touches.
28:37>> That is correct.
28:39>> No one scored a touchdown.
28:41>> Yeah. No, it it it doesn't it doesn't matter.
28:44>> so so Woody Marks Let Let Let's talk about Woody Marks for a second cuz Woody Marks does suck. He's always suck He continues to suck.
28:52>> Yeah.
28:54>> He's so bad.
28:5519 carries and well, a target. Right?
29:01I mean This This is a This is a fine play for 5,600 and you're you're just getting like plenty of workload.
29:09Jordan was out.
29:12David Montgomery was out. They're playing a [ __ ] ass Giants team at home in the dome.
29:18I think Woody Marks was a was a totally fine play.
29:21>> He was He was totally He was totally fine. I I don't I don't disagree, but I think what I would have done if I was looking to
29:31not do this is I I wouldn't have played Hurst or Auten, I think. If I was looking to If I was looking to do that,
29:38I think I would have just done Nicks.
29:39Well, probably honestly probably Nicks Waddle, right? Nicks Waddle instead of Love Hurst isn't that better?
29:46>> [snorts] >> To just to just get off the >> Yeah, I mean not not playing Hurst is definitely good.
29:52I I legit I legit thought Hurst was a good play. I mean Hurst, you know, that game went wonky. I don't
29:58think we can take any else here.
30:01That being said, Nate, you I think you were late when I said like Kade Auten get his projection like those three for
30:0636 or four for 28 every week. Like every week. I thought he was legit capped at like 7.6 fantasy points.
30:16And I didn't feel like putting that in my lineup. Like I just I just didn't. I I thought this You know, I I I had the option to do I
30:26think it was Auten and Bijan instead of like Marks and uh >> Well, yeah, that's what everyone else did.
30:37>> Yeah, and and I just thought, you know what? I I'd rather have two 20 20 touch backs than Bijan and a tight end with zero
30:44upside.
30:46Um and I'd do it again.
30:49I think that was sharp.
30:54>> I I don't know.
30:56>> And I And I wasn't playing 0.5 yd A dot Bo Nix.
31:01Uh like that that wasn't an option for me. So, I'm glad people did it. Again, you know, congrats to you guys but I
31:07think that >> Bo Nix was definitely an option.
31:10>> He definitely >> was definitely in play. I I I don't hate the Woody Marks thing as much as I'm giving you crap for because you also did
31:16play Breylon but but I to do that without getting Puka feels crazy. You You paid down at the two running back value positions and
31:25what did it get you? First and Amon-Ra.
31:27Like I So, it's like I don't know. If I'm paying down at both of those running back value positions, I'm 100% getting Puka. So, I
31:37just see Puka and Bijan different than you two and I just like Yeah, Puka and Bijan, their workload is is like
31:48>> Nate Whatever, whatever, I don't care.
31:51I'm giving you I'm giving you the dunce cap of the day for [ __ ] not playing Christian McCaffrey, dude. It's
31:56completely insane.
31:58>> I mean, McCaffrey in this spot at this price was he 7,600? Like $7,600 McCaffrey >> third highest team total of the slate in
32:08the dome, just like uh dude, it's it's I I actually can't believe it.
32:14>> Yeah, you're Dude, you're so lucky that CMC didn't just windmill dunk your bankroll away today.
32:19>> You You really You really are. You really are.
32:24But whatever, we know he's not going to We know he's not going to take the L.
32:27So, now you know what?
32:28>> I think Puka could have easily put up 35 here.
32:31>> I've done enough gloating. You guys can now point and laugh at me because holy did I play bad in guaranteed prize
32:39pool tournaments on draftkings.com today.
32:42I will go ahead and pull up Here we go.
32:45Let's let's see let's find my team in the red zone because I don't even know what I played in here, but man I bet
32:50it's terrible.
32:52>> [laughter] >> Minus 29% field aware ROI sounds about right. Low correlation edge badge independent field ROI. I was you know
33:01what's funny? Simmed well pre-lock.
33:04>> Yeah, it's zero zero duplication cost.
33:07>> [laughter] >> Didn't have to worry about that.
33:09>> And this lineup was 121 actual points.
33:14Jordan Love, Christian McCaffrey, Chuba Hubbard, which oh boy did I think that was sharp man. I thought I thought oh dude Chuba so sharp no one's going to
33:23play him. Everyone's playing everyone's playing Woody marks dude got to play got to play.
33:31So bad so bad. Jamo Shout out to Jamo.
33:35Jaylen Waddle ask me how that went. Ask me how ask me how the Jaylen Waddle play went boys.
33:42He had like I don't know what four four for 38 and got hurt.
33:47Four for 38 with the injury. You absolutely love to see it.
33:50>> get injured?
33:51>> He did. He did yeah.
33:52>> Oh yeah.
33:52>> Not not a big >> On like an end around and he fumbled and then got hurt for his efforts.
33:58>> Now now this is you know another really interesting which is that Waddle also because there are so many [ __ ] like
34:05me who are stupid that also played Jaylen Waddle because they were like Dude Bo Nix can't possibly be this bad right? And Jaylen Waddle the peripheral
34:17numbers for Jaylen Waddle they're fine.
34:19It's okay. You can play Jaylen Waddle.
34:21You can't you can't play Jaylen Waddle.
34:24I also played Tyler Higbee on this team.
34:27Absolute No no not sharp because it turns out >> Kobe Parkinson 48 yards, Davis Allen two touchdowns. I played a lot of Tyler
34:36Higbee on a prize picks today.
34:39>> And then I played I played Braylon Allen and I correlated with the with the Jets.
34:46Yeah, just like was a no hoper. Now, the reason why they're still chalk on this team like why I didn't swap off of Jordan
34:56Love um was because I didn't play on this team I did not play Hurst and I did not play Auten. So, I thought,
35:05"Hey man, like it's it's fine, right?
35:07You don't you don't play Hurst Auten and you you can kind of you can kind of do whatever you want." which I thought was
35:14was okay. Now, the other lineup I want to pull up. Did you guys play in this $150 milli?
35:21>> No.
35:24>> Yeah, I thought it was $150 to enter.
35:2819,000 I think total entry spots in them. I thought it was like I I thought >> I missed it.
35:35>> Yeah, I didn't even see it, dude.
35:38>> Are you guys serious? It was like literally it was like literally the top bar in the lobby all week. I literally
35:43don't know how you would have possibly missed this.
35:47Here you go. This is >> I would have won, so it's cool.
35:51But I would have played.
35:52>> The 2.25 milli mid-season warm-up millionaire and $1 million to first.
36:00>> Yeah, no I didn't.
36:01>> So, here is a team that I did do a swap on and I think I was I was most certainly
36:07right to do it. So, I come into this game Titans defense five points, 22 points from Braylon.
36:14I played 21% owned Cade Auten with a zero, zero percent owned zero points from Ted Hurst.
36:21I swapped from Goff St. Brown something I don't I don't exactly the specifics. Um but I kept Gibbs in cuz the whole
36:32the whole plan for the whole plan for this team was for it to be a Lions onslaught. I wanted to make my guy Nate proud. I I think it it
36:40might have even been Goff, St. Brown, Waddle or or something something like that. Or sorry, Goff, St.
36:48Brown, James No, this is obviously what it was. It was Goff, Gibbs, St. Brown, Golden.
36:56And then I And then I swapped off Golden to Waddle, uh St. Brown to Puka, uh Goff to Nicks is is what I did on
37:05this one. I I mean, I actually thought that was a a pretty good swap. But I don't know, like were you guys going through and swapping
37:12off of first odd and teams cuz I was? Cuz I was just like, "There's just no I'm not even going to min cash with these jabronis."
37:19Like I'm not even even if I get 45 from what I'm like, "I got to do something else."
37:24>> No, I didn't.
37:25>> I didn't play any K Allen. Like zero K Allen for me. Thanks.
37:31Yeah.
37:32>> Shout out to you, Sam.
37:33>> I'm not going to win a goddamn tournament with K Allen in the lineup.
37:35Like lost your damn mind.
37:40>> Well, valid.
37:41Uh >> Thanks.
37:43>> No, I mean, here I wonder what I just I haven't even looked. I wonder what team won. Uh shout out to
37:48Swidby for shipping the mid-season milli with a Shawn Watson, Christian McCaffrey, Tony Pollard, Puka Nacua, Tee Higgins, Casey Concepsion, George
37:58Kittle, Harold Fannin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers team.
38:02>> Damn, this lineup is sharp as [ __ ] dude.
38:05>> This lineup's actually sick. Yeah, shout out shout out to you.
38:07>> [laughter] >> Yeah, this is this is beautiful, dude. A freaking Browns onslaught with a Pollard bringback.
38:13Um notice he does have Christian McCaffrey on it as the good chalk, though.
38:19Notice.
38:19>> Nate's all No, no, he also has Puka Nacua. He does.
38:22>> No, notice he has Puka Nacua dead. The lineup If you actually look at the context of the lineup, it's better that
38:28he has Puka in there, dude. Um All right, did you guys play anything Did you guys play in the the big red
38:34zone? Nate, did you?
38:36>> Um I I think I did all the spies. I don't think I did red zones this week.
38:39>> Yeah, I got to go to the spy, mate.
38:41>> I played terribly. I mean, I I literally had Hurst everywhere. I don't think I cashed one of my higher dollar
38:47>> I was I was going to say I legit I I legit went I I will show you guys if I
38:52can find my contest page somewhere. I I'll legit show to Look, I show you the good things. I show you the bad things, boys. I I legit
39:02I think went over.
39:05Uh Oh, no.
39:09I I lost it. Okay, here we go.
39:11All right, there you go. Jordan Love team, $0.
39:14Jared Goff team, $0. Nick's team, $0.
39:17Stafford team, $0. Dude, the staff I I I swapped into a bunch of Stafford late as well because I was like I was like, "Oh,
39:24dude, like why can't Stafford throw for 304?" Which I think he he did. Did he throw for four or three?
39:31Just three.
39:32>> three. I think three. I'm glad to see a Christian Kirk uh play >> Dude, okay. Okay.
39:38>> I I I did play Christian Kirk in a in a lineup as well. So >> No, but this is actually this is
39:43actually tilting the [ __ ] out of me because they the the broadcast just said this very offhanded. They were like, "Oh, yeah, um
39:53they uh they told us he's the Hurst, the emergency wide receiver."
39:59You You didn't want You No one No one could report that beforehand? No one No one wanted to report that he was just uh
40:05the emergency receiver?
40:07What What the [ __ ] Uh so tilting.
40:10Um okay.
40:11>> Yeah, it would it would have been it would have been so sick to flip over Jordan Watkins in one of your lineups
40:16instead. You just be like >> One of my one of my one of one of the one of the ETR guys Easy he
40:22played a bunch of Pollard today and he had a he he did have a Jordan Watkins team.
40:29So shout out shout out to anyone who had the foresight to play >> Even even Cowering would have been would have been pretty saucy.
40:38>> All right Sammy you sent me a team what contest is this in?
40:43>> I think this is in the big spy.
40:46>> All right so read read it off to the people and tell them why you played it this way.
40:51>> Okay so I did a Burrow Chase and Higgins.
40:57>> I've got it pulled up you can I I'm I'm typing it you can >> Oh okay cool so so yeah so I did a Cincy
41:03stack with you know with with these guys it feels like Burrow just like always torches Baltimore. I mean he >> I don't know if it's true but it
41:12definitely does feel that way.
41:14>> Oh it's true man it's true. I mean you bring it up I mean he he destroys Baltimore and he wasn't having a great
41:20game but he ended up smashing pretty hard.
41:23I played CMC and Marks and I felt bad about that and and I wanted to put in Braylon instead of Marks. Um
41:32and I kept simming it and the sims just like it so much better with Marks in there and I was like and I should have
41:38just I K beat it honestly.
41:40Um Yeah would would have would have made a difference of of a few dollars for sure.
41:45So um But yeah you know I played Ted Hurst I I thought I thought Hurst was set up and again I'm not going to take like too
41:52many L's on yeah the the the Bucks stuff just cuz that game was so insanely wonky.
41:59But I didn't want to like have lineups without Kittle and McCaffrey. So I just played those guys and then our boy Tyler Higbee
42:09played him as well. I just thought you know we're going to double-tight end, Tyler Higbee like pretty set up.
42:16And you know, he was just part of a rotation as he is, and we're kind of chasing that dragon from like weeks
42:22three to five where he did really good.
42:25Um but they're clearly spreading it around their side ends. Davis Allen with a couple of >> I I actually don't I actually don't
42:30think there's any of that. I literally think it's all entirely completely random and that if you dug under the hood, like I bet
42:38when I do my Rick recap video tomorrow, it's going to be like, "Oh yeah, Higbee ran uh 77% of the routes, Parkinson ran
42:4552%, Davis Allen ran I bet I bet it's just going to be totally random. There you go.
42:51>> Well, well, it it it's going to be random in like a way that we probably can't predict. Like it's it's going to
42:57be They're going to like run their routes, and Stafford's just going to have his reads, you know what I mean?
43:02And like if they played a certain way, it goes to the the short guy, played a certain way goes to the medium guy, but
43:08they're doing like this three-tight end bunch a ton.
43:11And just running all sorts of crazy routes off of it, and yeah, I I I think it's probably not like really
43:16predictable.
43:18>> Yeah. Uh all right, -1.4% sim ROI uh with I'm assuming that we have actually I know this because I
43:29tried to sim it a bunch. We Run the Sims did not have Higbee as a very good play.
43:32Had him as as a kind of like a break-even play and and a little bit um to owned.
43:38>> So did they have Puka as a great play?
43:41>> Um we had his projection a little degraded. Um >> Got it. So where did the Where did the implied points go?
43:50>> You know what? You know what? No, no, we didn't. Puka I I bet if we run Here, Nate, give me a team cuz I bet if we run
43:55something with Puka, I bet it'll sim unreal.
43:58>> Let me see. Where's my >> Give me Give me what Give me whatever team you want to run.
44:02>> Um recent Puka Um Here's Uh
44:12>> But I I assume the reason why the Higbee stuff said is like whatever whatever our optimal probability for for Higbee was that the
44:20ownership would just going to be a little bit too high.
44:24>> All of my Puka stuff I didn't play much Puka in the high dollar stuff. I mean it was mostly uh lower entry stuff. I played very
44:31poorly. Um So I don't really have any good Puka teams to sim. Um >> [snorts] >> The one team that we I mean I guess
44:41here's what I played in the the same spot Is this the 350K spy, Sammy?
44:48>> Yes.
44:49>> Uh so the 350K spy I played What did I play in that one? Um Baker Bijan, CMC
44:59Puka Godwin, Hurst, Auten, Kyren, Titans.
45:05>> Bijan, CMC, Puka Hurst Auten Titans about just eating the chalk. And then who was the flex and third receiver?
45:17>> Uh Godwin and then Kyren.
45:21>> Godwin and then Kyren. I All right. I'm going to guess this actually does sim pretty well because the the best lineup that I got
45:32to sim this morning that the best lineup was playing these freaking [clears throat] jabronis with uh Baker. It was It was That was That
45:42was the way that it worked best.
45:43>> I mean I had a lot of That's That's why I That's why I did so poorly in tournaments. I had a lot of Baker, a lot
45:48of Hurst, a lot of um Godwin, and a lot of Auten. And so I mean Baker coming in at 1% when all these when all these guys
45:57are owned just makes absolutely no sense to me. I mean it's like these guys don't I don't know. If if these guys were to
46:04pay off, the chance of Baker also getting there was really high. And so Yeah, I thought Baker was a good play at
46:12his ownership. Uh he came in Yeah, super low. Uh and then I figured I could get a bunch of chalk around it
46:18with CMC, Bijan.
46:20Um and and I just yeah, went kind of high projection around it. And so Yeah, feel feel pretty good when I can
46:28get that low of a quarterback >> going to stack on something like that.
46:32>> So like I guess the way that I fundamentally view this because I just don't feel comfortable just pressing the the button and just playing
46:42the optimized teams, you know, is I view Hurst and Auten as ways to get in fancy plays that I want to play. You know what
46:50I'm saying? Like I'm like, oh, like sick, 3K guys are available. So now I can do whatever my love Watson golden
46:58stuff instead of thinking back like, okay, if these guys Well, yeah, okay, Sims are really well made. 23% same ROI, 1.5% top one.
47:07Um Which is >> Yeah, Puka Puka was such a good tournament play. Like such a good tournament play.
47:12>> agree, yeah.
47:13>> You know, in cash cash is a little tough. Um I get it. Like he's never a bad cash play. But certainly with the
47:19calf stuff he left.
47:21>> Well, I remember Nate was too [ __ ] scared to do this.
47:25>> On week three.
47:26>> And I I was the one who played $7,500 Puka. So if anyone if anyone has the right to say when Puka is a cash play, I
47:34think it's me.
47:35>> But I think there was a difference that week. I feel like Devonte was playing and >> Devonte is irrelevant to Puka Nacua.
47:44>> That that's incorrect, but okay.
47:46>> That's all Literally, Devonte is the target in the red zone. I don't know how you could possibly >> Well, well,
47:52so yes and no. I mean, they they definitely switched up like they they've been playing Puka. Like last year they did a lot of stuff where Puka wasn't on
47:59the field when they were like in that gold zone. And this year they play they've been playing Puka even with Davante out there. They played him a lot
48:08more near the goal line.
48:09Um so, yes, that's true, but then also Davante is certainly still a big red zone target. Um >> I mean, Puka's so Puka's Puka's
48:18touchdown expectation goes up significantly with Davante off the field. Like, it's it's significant.
48:24>> I mean, Davante Adams has how many how many receiving touchdowns this year, right? It's not like he goes out and all
48:29of a sudden those go to Mumphery or something like that. Like, maybe they get spread amongst the tight ends a little bit, but I
48:34>> Yeah, they go to Davis Allen.
48:36>> Yeah, but I do think Puka's going >> It's like the plays are for him to score. It's not like he randomly busts
48:42in there. It's like they'll get on the 3-yard line and it's like this is a Davante play. So, it's it's there is so much expected touchdowns
48:50that go Davante's way that with him off the field, Puka's projection goes through the roof. I mean, it's it's it's unreal. So, I
49:00Yeah, I'm not I I mean, I know I've like beat this horse to death, so I'm not going to say it again, but Puka was a
49:06great play.
49:07>> Well, tell it to the tell it to the bank examiner, Nate.
49:11>> Yeah, tell tell it to the bank examiner where where we all got swept.
49:14>> examiner this week, but >> Yeah, where we we made a combined $0 in GBPs.
49:21>> Yeah, not not ideal, but >> Not great for the Gilcast, but we but we swept cash, so, you know.
49:26>> That hey, that's all I want. If I can if I can pay for all of my bad GBP lineups by beating a bunch of knuckle draggers
49:32who play the Dolphins defense in cash, then let me let me have it, boys. All right, everyone. Make sure like the
