NegativeRoleSep 14, 2026
D'Andre Swift played 56% of snaps with just a 23% route share, taking 19 of 31 RB opportunities (61%) while mostly alternating drives with Kyle Monangai. The roles were ultimately similar to last year, only with even more production to go around; this wasn't a case of Swift's usage expanding relative to 2025. He took 61% of snaps on first down, 56% on second down, and 47% on third down, with no clear division of role based on down. Swift got all three goal-line carries and the lone non-goal-line short-yardage carry (3rd-and-1 conversion), suggesting his touch share in high-leverage spots will be higher than overall touch share.

Has never finished worse than RB24 in PPR points per game since entering the league. However, snaps (56% vs. 43%) and rush attempts (52% vs. 41%) were fairly split between Swift and Kyle Monangai during the Bears' final 11 games of 2025. Despite this, Swift feels undervalued as the clear lead back of an ascending Ben Johnson-led offense that the source largely loves, especially given his early-season schedule against the Panthers, Vikings, Eagles and Jets.
