McBride fell to the fourth round in this mock, going only a few spots ahead of Colston Loveland. Matt Harmon observes that people in general might be down on the Cardinals offense, which could explain why McBride is falling despite his strong season last year. Harmon suggests it's very possible that Loveland and McBride flip in ADP, which would have been unexpected given McBride's previous production.PositiveProjectionJul 15, 2026
Trey McBride had a transcendent fantasy tight end season last year, scoring more than 2 fantasy points per game—more than the next closest tight end. However, his elite production was elevated by Marvin Harrison being out in the second half of the season and Jacoby Brissett throwing the ball. With Marvin Harrison returning, McBride will still be really good but won't reach that elite level he showed when Harrison was sidelined. Matt Harmon considers McBride a fine pick but prefers Brock Bowers going forward, as Bowers has more potential for a transcendent season.
