PositiveMatchupOct 1, 2026
Denzel Boston is a sneaky start against the Steelers, who play a ton of zone and cover-4 defense; when they play man coverage, they get fried because they lack cornerback talent on the outside, which leans into Boston's strengths. Matt Harmon describes him as a hard charge despite last week's poor result in a weird game.PositiveMatchupOct 1, 2026
Faces perfect matchup against Steelers on Thursday night; Steelers have allowed fourth-highest success rate against outside targets (62.62% success rate, 123 passing rating, 27-37 completions for 394 yards and 3 TDs on outside targets this year); Boston has run 91% of his routes from the outside with 8 receptions on 14 targets for 186 yards (tenth most in NFL); height/weight differential versus DBs is top-ten extreme on record; Matt Harmon is all in on Boston this week due to matchup.PositiveBreakoutSep 24, 2026
Boston has impressed early in the NFL with training camp hype that has continued into the regular season; he's getting number one target routes and Deshaun Watson is throwing him back shoulder fades and end zone fades, showing the team wants to get him touches and routes; he's a player to be pleased with so far.PositiveValueSep 24, 2026
Matt Harmon is considering Denzel Boston as a flex option given the Patriots' backfield committee and passing game limitations; Boston represents a potential pivot point in a frustrating offense.NegativeRoleSep 24, 2026
Boston is being considered as a flex option by Matt Harmon, who is looking to deploy him in flex spots given the uncertainty in the Patriots' backfield and passing game. His role appears to be emerging as a potential outlet in a struggling offense.PositiveSleeperSep 23, 2026
Matt Harmon identifies Denzel Boston as a sleeper receiver in an under-center and play-action scheme; the context suggests this is tied to an effective play-action passing quarterback, creating vertical route opportunities.PositiveBreakoutAug 28, 2026
Denzel Boston was drafted by the Browns as part of their long-term rebuild plan targeting 2027 competitiveness. Boston is 6'4", 215 pounds, a big X receiver who complements Casey Concepcion nicely. The Browns believe Boston and Concepcion will be the receivers that allow them to be competitive. Boston was lighting it up early in training camp and has the potential to get off to a quick start, assuming the offense is functional. As a big receiver, Boston can separate well for his size.PositiveBreakoutAug 24, 2026
Matt Harmon is bullish on rookie Denzel Boston, noting that he played in the preseason game while other starters rested. Harmon believes the team is giving him significant work to evaluate him as a reliable target.NegativeBustAug 21, 2026
Harmon advises a heat check on Boston, noting that while he is a talented contested-catch receiver, he is likely the third or fourth option on a poor offense. He expects Boston to flash on tape but struggle to maintain consistent fantasy relevance compared to players like Concepcion who have easier paths to targets.PositiveBreakoutAug 17, 2026
Denzel Boston is showing the exact traits expected of him as a prospect, including winning curls beyond the sticks with proper hand use. He is a strong dynasty move, especially given the potential for Jerry Judy to be traded.PositiveSleeperAug 11, 2026
Ray Garvin and Matt Harmon view Denzel Boston as a sleeper who could emerge in the Cleveland offense. Harmon notes that Boston is being used in downfield post routes, similar to his college role at Washington, and that the coaching staff seems to prefer him over veterans like Jerry Judy.NegativeSleeperAug 7, 2026
Denzel Boston is noted as a training camp standout, particularly in contested-catch drills. While the source warns that camp hype for such players can be overblown, Boston is considered one of the few rookie receivers with potential fantasy relevance in deep leagues, though the team's low scoring projection limits his upside.PositiveRoleJul 28, 2026
Six-foot-four rookie receiver positioned as potential red zone threat for Browns; represents competition for Harold Fannin's target share. Upside tied to red zone opportunity volume, though Browns offense unlikely to reach red zone frequently.NegativeRoleJul 28, 2026
Denzel Boston is noted as a first-round wide receiver addition to the Browns offense alongside Conception. The panel discusses how adding quality receivers (Boston, Conception, and potentially improved Jerry Judy) changes the offensive dynamic for tight end Harold Fanden, as offenses typically don't run through the tight end when receivers are strong. Boston's arrival is cited as a reason the panelists are lower on Fanden's ceiling.NegativeRoleNo date
Boston is viewed as the big-bodied receiver the Colts want to deploy, competing for playing time with Josh Downs, Isaiah Bond, and Jerry Judy; the team may use 12 personnel packages, creating uncertainty about target distribution among the pass-catching group.
