Bryce Young

NegativeProjection40:22

Young's 6.0 career YPA (6.3 in each of last two seasons) and Carolina's consistent offensive underperformance—ranking 23rd or worse in total yards and points in all three of his seasons (32nd yards/29th points as rookie, 32nd yards/23rd points in 2024, 27th yards/27th points last year)—limits the ceiling for Carolina pass catchers including McMillan.

Insight page

C.J. Stroud

NegativeProjection15:23

Harmon acknowledges CJ Stroud's playoff performance was a disaster, citing one of the worst EPA per dropback performances in the playoffs since 2007 (specifically his game against the Patriots); however, notes that in the regular season Stroud ranked between Patrick Mahomes and Sam Darnold in EPA per dropback, suggesting his perception is weighted down by playoff games and prime-time contests rather than regular-season performance; maintains Stroud is still good enough to support Nico Collins despite playoff concerns.

Insight page

CeeDee Lamb

PositiveProjection10:36

Matt Harmon is bullish on CeeDee Lamb as an end-of-first-round/early-second-round pick in best ball. Lamb posted a 26% target share in games where he played at least 45% of snaps, positioning him as a bounce-back candidate this year.

Insight page

Chris Godwin

PositiveValue24:45

Matt Harmon questions whether Mecole Hardman is the clear WR1 for Tampa Bay in 2025, suggesting Chris Godwin could be the primary receiver despite age concerns. Positioned as a potential value play in the third-round range, Godwin is underpriced at current ADP given the uncertainty around Hardman's WR1 status, which came out strong early in the season but slowed down late.

Insight page

Chris Olave

PositiveValue13:34

Matt Harmon loves Chris Olave as a second and third-round wide receiver pick in best ball drafts. Olave is positioned alongside Nico Collins as an attractive option in the second round ahead of George Pickens. In the third round, Harmon identifies Olave as a preferred target when running back-heavy early, grouping him with DeVonta Smith as a strong pick. Harmon believes Olave could have an elite season and names him as his final answer for round three favorite pick in best ball drafts.

Insight page

D.J. Moore

NegativeValue38:34

Matt Harmon explicitly rejects DJ Moore at his current fourth-round ADP price point, stating "I wouldn't take DJ Moore at this this price." Despite Moore being Buffalo's clear WR1 alongside elite QB Josh Allen, Harmon expresses skepticism about his fantasy upside at current ADP/expectations, suggesting he is not a believer in Moore's ceiling despite the favorable QB situation.

Insight page

DeVonta Smith

PositiveProjection13:00

Matt Harmon ranks DeVonta Smith as WR11 and ahead of AJ Brown for fantasy this season. The departure of AJ Brown from the Eagles creates a significant target vacuum. Smith's ability to play X and slot, combined with his fit in both spread-and-shred and under-center play-action schemes, positions him as a league-winner candidate at current ADP. Harmon believes Smith fits the profile of a top-10 receiver emergence pattern (elevation + target vacuum + outside routes) and could come out gang busters and be an absolute game-changer at the wide receiver position. Smith is positioned as a preferred second-round pick ahead of George Pickens and as a favorable third-round option with quality upside alongside Chris Olave.

Insight page

Drake London

NegativeProjection17:29

Matt Harmon expresses surprise that Nico Collins could outproduce Drake London this year despite London being drafted ahead of Collins in draft order. Harmon loves Drake London but cites uncertainty around the Falcons offense with Michael Penix Jr. as quarterback and Tatum Tonoa as a competing pass catcher. London offers more role safety relative to Collins due to his established role and despite missing games last year, but Harmon still prefers Collins given London's injury history and the uncertainty around the Falcons' offensive cohesion.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

NegativeProjection38:11

Matt Harmon positions Garrett Wilson as a fourth-round ADP player (around 40th overall) who will perform consistently year-to-year. Harmon notes Wilson "is just going to do the same thing every year until the end of time where like we know it could be better, but it probably won't be better, but it'll still be fine," making him acceptable as a fourth-round selection despite limited upside potential. Wilson has a path to WR1 upside if Gino Smith improves and Seattle's defense forces a pass-heavy offensive script, though this is dependent on QB play and defensive performance driving volume.

Insight page

George Pickens

NegativeBust10:36

Matt Harmon views George Pickens as overpriced in the second round (ADP 23-24 on DraftKings) and a bust risk. His WR5 finish last year was inflated by games when CeeDee Lamb was unavailable; with Lamb healthy, Pickens' target share will decline. Additionally, there is meaningful roster uncertainty with Dallas—better than 50% but maybe 60% chance nothing happens and he stays—but the Cowboys have a history of contract drama and Pickens likely wants to be paid now, creating risk of trade or holdout. Harmon would be interested in Pickens at the end of the third round but not at current second-round prices, where Nico Collins, Chris Olave, and DeVonta Smith offer better upside. If everything aligns, Pickens has top-12 upside but is probably one of the safer picks as a 17-game WR2, with a lower ceiling than Collins' top-five projection.

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

PositiveProjection0:25

Matt Harmon endorses Jamar Chase as the first WR off the board in DraftKings ADP and the consensus WR1. Chase is in an incredible spot in his career with Joe Burrow as QB; Harmon describes him as an unbelievable player who is awesome at football and should be the wide receiver one off the board.

Insight page

Jalen McMillan

PositiveProjection26:00

Matt Harmon's charting analysis shows pleasant surprise with McMillan's performance despite a small four-game sample size and neck injury recovery. Profile comparisons to Jerry Judy's 2024 and Jameson Williams' 2024 seasons indicate he is a volatile deep threat with decent upside. However, his emergence adds depth chart crowding to Tampa Bay's WR room alongside Hardman and Godwin, which constrains his ceiling.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

PositiveValue32:54

Matt Harmon ranks Jaylen Waddle at WR12 and is very high on him this year, placing him in the WR11–13 tier alongside DeVonte Smith and Lad McConkey. Harmon would draft Waddle over the entire fourth-round ADP group including Zay Flowers, Lad McConkey, Garrett Wilson, Tedo McMillan, DJ Moore, Luther Burden, DeVonte Adams, and Terry McLaurin, and feels great about that decision tier-wise. However, he wants to hear a positive Bo Nix training camp update before going 'balls to the wall' on Waddle conviction.

Insight page

Justin Jefferson

PositiveProjection0:54

Matt Harmon moved Jefferson out of tier one last season due to QB play concerns but now believes it's time to get back in on him as a tier-one receiver. With Kyler Murray upgrade over JJ McCarthy, Harmon projects Jefferson back into top-five WR production; cites 73.1% success rate on nine routes (elite tier) and 82% success rate on comeback routes as evidence that Murray's boundary/vertical route tendencies align with Jefferson's elite metrics. Jefferson could produce Jamar Chase or JSN-level output in the back half of the first round with overall WR1 upside and could be the best player in all of fantasy football next year. He finished as WR24 last year and with a pulse after 17 games can't finish worse; Harmon prefers Jefferson over Amon-Ra St. Brown, citing much better floor and higher upside. In best ball, Jefferson at pick 9 offers strong value in the back half of the first round.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

NegativeProjection4:33

Matt Harmon assesses Kyler Murray as a clear upgrade over JJ McCarthy for Justin Jefferson's fantasy production, citing Murray's NFL experience, exposure to varied coverages, and proven ability to execute boundary and comeback routes (demonstrated with DeAndre Hopkins and attempted with Marvin Harrison). Murray is QB7 off the board on DraftKings and goes outside the top 100; if he starts 16-17 games, there is essentially a 0% chance he finishes as QB17 due to his rushing ability, making him strong value for stacking with Jefferson. Murray's hesitancy to throw middle-of-field routes is a real-life football concern for Minnesota's offense but less relevant to fantasy, where the Vikings will find ways to get Jefferson the ball on his elite-efficiency routes.

Insight page

Ladd McConkey

PositiveProjection25:00

Matt Harmon ranks McConkey as the clear WR1 in the Chargers offense with a new role and huge target vacuum to fill, positioning him as the top-ranked WR in the third-round grouping ahead of Mecole Hardman, T. Higgins, and Zay Flowers. Harmon projects 100–110 catches, 1500 yards, and 8–10 touchdowns; he's investing heavily in McConkey for best ball tournaments where ceiling chasing is required, viewing him as the type of player who can 'shoot the moon' with that profile. Harmon expresses surprise at his ranking below Hardman and Higgins, calling him a must-take at this price.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

NegativeInjury23:40

Matt Harmon cannot recommend Malik Nabers at 34th overall due to significant knee injury concerns. Nabers suffered an ACL tear plus meniscus damage requiring a second cleanup surgery. Despite showing 98th percentile success rate versus press coverage and Jamar Chase-level upside if healthy, the injury severity and head coach John Harbaugh's characterization of the recovery as a 'grind and the slog' make him unrosterable in this range.

Insight page

Mecole Hardman

PositiveRole24:45

Matt Harmon notes that Mecole Hardman came out strong early in the season but slowed down late, raising questions about whether he is the clear WR1 for Tampa Bay given competition from Chris Godwin and Jaylen McMillan. However, new offensive coordinator Zack Robinson will play Hardman as the Z receiver with motion versatility, alternating between outside and slot. This role change is a much better fit than his outside on-ball usage last year, positioning him to flirt with WR1 production despite variables beyond the role change.

Insight page

Nico Collins

NegativeProjection13:34

Matt Harmon projects Nico Collins as a top-five wide receiver if he stays healthy. Collins is a late second rounder with 23 overall ADP in 12-team formats and is described as an elite player at the position with tier-one wide receiver traits. The team's contract extension signals positive commitment. Collins is a 25% target share player with set-and-forget appeal, distinguishing him from supporting actors like Tank Dell, Jaden Higgins, and Jaylen Null in the Texans offense. Despite CJ Stroud's playoff disaster (one of the worst EPA per dropback performances in the playoffs since 2007), Stroud ranked between Patrick Mahomes and Sam Darnold in EPA per dropback during the regular season, making him good enough to support Collins. Harmon breaks ties in favor of Collins over Drake London in the second round despite London's role safety, citing Collins' injury history as a manageable concern relative to the upside differential. Collins' top-five upside contrasts favorably against George Pickens' top-12 ceiling despite similar ADP (23 vs. 24 on DraftKings).

Insight page

Puka Nacua

PositiveProjection0:25

Matt Harmon expresses no qualms with Puka Nakua as a first-round WR pick in DraftKings ADP alongside Jamar Chase and Jackson Smith-Njigba; he is part of the consensus big-three WR tier.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

PositiveProjection34:48

Matt Harmon views Terry McLaurin as a top-20 player rather than a top-24 receiver, citing no signs of decline despite last year's contract holdout and slow start. Harmon notes that McLaurin will move around more under new coordinator David Blau, which should provide a boost this year. With Jaden Daniels now healthier and entering year three, and a new offensive coordinator replacing Cliff Kingsbury, Harmon expects spike weeks given McLaurin's vertical ability on the boundary and the mathematical certainty that he'll run fewer straight-line routes in a spread offense. Harmon is overindexed on Ben Johnson offensive scheme players.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout43:35

Matt Harmon identifies a path for McLauren to finish as WR1, though acknowledges it is unlikely; sees potential for elite-tier upside despite current ADP/expectations.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

NegativeProjection31:12

Matt Harmon views Zay Flowers as a zone-beating WR1 in the Ravens offense who looks excellent on per-route metrics and is underrated in real-life play. However, from a fantasy standpoint, Flowers has a capped touchdown ceiling as long as Derrick Henry is in the Ravens offense. Harmon is excited about the Ravens offense and Declan Doyle's impact as offensive coordinator, but Flowers does not have top-five receiver outcomes in his range like Lad McConkey does.

0:02Okay, what is cracking everybody? James Co, Matt Harmon here with you uh from Reception Perception. Uh for everyone in the chat, uh we we appreciate y'all and
0:11uh we welcome you in man. Um Matt and I uh this is our first time this season drafting a baseball team. For some
0:20reason, we got our times crossed up.
0:23Baseball drafts are not going to start until 8 o'clock Eastern and we don't have that time. [laughter] In particular, Matt doesn't have that
0:34time.
0:34>> Yeah.
0:35>> Yeah. I I am going on a uh international vacation. Uh I will be getting on the plane 24 hours from now. 24 hours from
0:44now and be in the air and I have done exactly zero packing. Uh so your boys here got off to a bad start on this. So,
0:52we're we are pulling an audible and James, we're going to go through here and look at uh DraftKings ADP and pick
0:58our favorite wide receiver picks uh of every round. Uh so, look, that's Listen, honestly, that's going to be better. I think it's I think it's going to be way
1:06better content and we're going to get way more player takes and not in a fast pace. Now, we don't have to we don't
1:11have to rush, dude. We can we can really, you know, let our uh like spread our wings. We can really relax here.
1:18Much more our style.
1:20>> Scribbles, man. What's going on, dude?
1:22Good to see you, pal. Um, we got, first of all, I jump into the chat and the very first thing I see is this.
1:29>> I'm going to poop my pants. I'm Wow.
1:32Okay. Um, yes, I agree. What a message to walk in on. Unbelievable.
1:38Uh, I love it. So, yeah, dude. Listen, we apologize, man. We were we were actually legitimately uh stoked to draft a team actually as well. Um, and so now
1:48we are not going to be able to do that, but we will talk about our favorite picks uh in every single round.
1:53Obviously giving a ton of wide receiver stuff here as well. Okay, so I do have the DraftKings. By the way, go check out
1:59DraftKings [snorts] uh if you would.
2:01That'd be amazing. But uh this is their DraftKings um rankings right now. Um when you look in the first round, Matt,
2:09here we got Bejian and Jir Gibbs. By the way, I just got done charting these guys. Behan's he must be practicing
2:15witchcraft or something, man. like this guy's getting better somehow. It's unbelievable. Jamir Gibbs has got rocket fuel in his in his shoes. So, uh both
2:23these guys very very good and I get it.
2:25Uh you see here in the in the first wide receiver though off the board Jamar Chase, Puka Nua, Jackson Smith and
2:31Jigbo. What do we think here?
2:33>> Yeah, obviously no qualms with any of these guys, especially with Jamar Chase being first. Um, you know, the more I
2:41you just think about it, obviously he he's on that he's just in an incredible spot in his career, right? An unbelievable player. Uh, somebody who's
2:49awesome at the at the game of football.
2:51We got Joe Burrow here. Yeah, he should be the wide receiver one off the board.
2:54Totally fine with that. The guy I think is really interesting, >> um, is actually Justin Jefferson. Um, one of the things I'm many I'm one of
3:02many many of things I'm doing right now as I prepare to leave for this vacation is I'm updating my dynasty rankings
3:08tonight. Uh, so hopefully we uh will have those up either by tonight or tomorrow morning. We'll have those updated for the people out there.
3:18And I bring this up to say that Justin Jefferson was a guy that I moved, you know, out of the first tier this past
3:26season. Um, and I think there's obvious reasons for that. We were concerned about the long-term trajectory of the quarterback play. And now though, the
3:36more that you look at it, I I kind of think, again, this is not this is we we will talk best, we'll talk reddraft, of
3:42course here, but just from like dynasty angle real quick. Is it not time to like get back in on Justin Jefferson as a
3:48tier one receiver? I I know he's a little bit older than these other guys that we're talking about here, Chase, JSN, Puka Nakua, but even here like I I
3:56kind of think he should, you know, St.
3:58Brown obviously is the next wide receiver after kind of the big three and I think consensus big three and I get
4:02that and I'm not saying that, you know, I'm on Ross St. Brown is a bad pick by any means. I mean, he's so like locked
4:08in, >> but I kind of think if you get into that late first round range, I'm totally content with taking Justin
4:15Jefferson as a first round pick. And I do think the time has kind of returned to push a guy like Justin Jefferson back
4:23up into the first tier of of dynasty rankings. So, he's definitely somebody that again, I'm not going to go so far
4:28as to say he's my favorite pick of the first round at wide receiver because there's so many good wide receiver picks. But shoot, I mean, James, what do
4:33you think about the Kyler Murray Justin Jefferson pairing? I think you might be a little bit more skeptical than me, but
4:38I think he's good enough to get, you know, Jefferson back into kind of that top five wide receiver production, which, you know, based on ADP, based on
4:47the rankings here, he he kind of already has been pushed up.
4:50>> It's really interesting, right? Because like if we're talking about real life fan, if we're talking about real life football, I'm not that high on the
4:56Murray signing. Mostly because >> I don't think he totally fits what KC wants to get done offensively. mostly and you and I have talked about this on
5:06on the RP show a lot. He doesn't throw to the middle of the football field and a lot of what KOCC's offense does has to
5:13be to attack that middle, right?
5:15Especially that intermediate middle and I just think that Kyler has shown throughout his career he's really hesitant to throw those footballs. Okay.
5:21Now, that being said, fantasy is a little different. [laughter] You know, like they're going to find a way to get Justin Jefferson the football. And so
5:28while I don't think Kyler is a great fit for Minnesota's offensive, you know, health overall, not a great fit there, there's no question he's a step up from
5:39JJ. You know, it's like, come on. I mean, I could not be the biggest Kyler guy, but you got to still say he's a
5:45step up from JJ McCarthy. Um, just not only, you know, from a talent standpoint, but just he's been through the war zones of the NFL. He's seen a
5:54lot of different coverages and all that kind of stuff, right? So, um, yeah, I do think that he will ramp up Justin
6:00Jefferson, I'm with you. Um, why he is, >> you know, not considered to be in that top, I get it because of the concerns at
6:09quarterback, but I do think that I'm with you. I think that Kyler Murray will certainly elevate his play. Um, and there is a ch I mean, come on. there's a
6:17absolutely a chance that uh that uh Justin Jefferson ends up being the wide receiver one uh in the game of 2026, you
6:25know, >> right? I see that's the thing. I do think that upside exists and that's kind of why again I made that change in
6:31dynasty and I will admit maybe part of this is that I wrote up Malik Neighbors's profile uh today that's on the site. People can check it out
6:39receptionperception.com. Uh it's almost like I think I wrote this at the end.
6:42It's a almost like a fun but sad profile to read and consume because he's currently hurt and like everything painted in the profile is oh my god this
6:50guy is just on like he's knocking on that door ready to burst through it to be an elite tier one receiver now it's
6:56like oh man when are we going to get that guy again? So there's a little doom and gloom for you. But the reason that I
7:01I bring that up is because then this comes back to Justin Jefferson when I was looking through Malik Neighbors' profiling. The thing that is the most
7:09bullish about him >> is that he had an 84.4% success rate verse press coverage which is a 98th percentile score. Uh these are the these
7:18are the following players in reception perception history who have hit or cleared 84% success rate verse press while taking fewer than 30% of their
7:27sampled snaps from the slot. AJ Brown did it once. Devonte Adams did it once.
7:32Jamar Chase has done it once. Obviously I haven't charted all these guys' 2025 yet, so keep that in mind. Odell Beckham
7:38Jr. did it three times and Justin Jefferson did it three times from 22 to 23 to 24. And again, he might have done
7:45it in 25. I just haven't charted his season yet. So, he's incredible. And even if you look back that 24 season,
7:50like yes, a ton of his usage came uh on dig routes. 27% uh route percentage on dig routes in 2024. And as we've discussed many times,
8:00that's probably not going to be the the diet of the Kyler Murray throws, right?
8:06But but Justin Jefferson's success rate on nine routes 73.1%.
8:13>> Like an elite. So >> that's outrageous. The 73.1% success rate for Justin Jefferson on nine routes. And that like Kyler Murray
8:24will throw that, >> right? Like he's he's going to throw those boundary routes to the exceiver.
8:28We saw him do it to DeAndre Hopkins, you know, even on like comeback routes, which obviously freaking Kyler Murray and Marvin Harrison tried to link up on
8:37those comeback routes and it just didn't always work. Didn't work.
8:40>> 82% success rate there. So, some of those like more straight line vertical routes as we always talk about. Yeah, it's going to it it I think that part of
8:48the connection can work there and it can be very efficient doing that. So to me, I do think like again, if we're thinking
8:55favorite wide receiver picks in the first round, you might get Jamar Chase or JSN's production out of Justin Jefferson in the back half of the first
9:04round this year. And I'm I'm kind of okay. On a full PPR site like DraftKings, you know, uh, by the way,
9:09code RPM Matt in the description if you want to sign up.
9:12>> Yeah. To dra draft Justin Jefferson. I think I'm into it. I think I'm doing it.
9:16I mean, again, if we're if we're talking baseball, you know, it's like um he's a great player regardless. I think I saw
9:22someone comment that he finished as the wide receiver 24. Yeah, it was uh IMJ Jo, whatever. Uh the outside the you
9:30know, finished outside the top 24, if he's got a pulse after 17 games, he can't finish worse than last year. I
9:34agree with that.
9:35>> Bingo.
9:36>> Um so, you know, and again, when you're talking about overall wide receiver one upside, I mean, shoot, he could be the
9:43best player in all of fantasy football >> next year. That's the upside um with Justin Jefferson. So, I'm with it, man.
9:50I'm good with it. Um okay, so we've got Justin Jefferson here at nine. Whether we think that's too low or not um
9:56irrelevant. I think if you're in the back half of the first round, you look at Justin Jefferson, you go get him. I
10:00like it. Um as a matter of fact, I would say he's got higher upside than Aman Ros, I think, a a much better floor, but
10:09better, you know, again, Justin Jefferson with a uh much higher upside there. Um, James Cook, CD Lamb, Genty.
10:17Everyone's expecting a big Genty comeback with um, Clint Kubak there uh, in Las Vegas. Saquon Barkley, a Chan, Kenneth Walker, Drake London. Okay, so
10:26when we're taking a look at the wide receivers here, it's CD Lamb and Drake London in this, you know, early portion
10:34of the second round. What do we think?
10:36>> Yeah, real quick, just doubling back on Justin Jefferson, too. By the way, if you're trying to stack him and Kyler
10:41Murray, Kyler Murray's QB7 off the board right now in DraftKings basketball, like goes outside the top 100. Let me tell you what, if Kyler Murray starts 16 17
10:49games, um, which he's going to be starting this year, and I think if he starts, he's probably going to hold on
10:53to the job. There's a stone 0% chance he finishes as QB 17. He will finish higher than that just because he can run. So,
11:00even more appeal to the Jefferson. You get the stack there like very, very, very affordable. Um, but yeah, also I think uh Nico Collins or at least what
11:07I'm looking at here, he's also in this round too. So, uh, Drake London, George Pick or CD Lamb also. Yeah, good. Yeah,
11:13there you go. So, like these guys here, um, I mean, I think these guys are all really good uh, wide receiver picks. I
11:21do want to just discuss the George Pickkins thing here a little bit.
11:25>> Okay. What's your level of concern one about Yeah, [clears throat] we see where I'm going with this because to the
11:32other guys I think are all locked in here, you know? I think we're all like we're all set. Like CD Lamb, end of
11:37first round, early second round, totally 100% into it. CD Lamb, by the way, had a 26% target share in the games that he
11:43played at least 45% of the snaps. George Pickkins was 22%. George Pickkins is was good regardless, but his monster games obviously came uh when CD was not
11:54available. So, I'm totally in on CD as a, you know, quote, bounceback whatever candidate this year. But Pickkins though, what's your level concern that a
12:02he's might not be on the Cowboys roster this year? Just cuz look, I know we can sit here and say like it's I would say
12:07it's it's a better than 50% chance, maybe 60% chance that nothing happens, nothing goes wrong and he's just playing this year. But it is Dallas, right? We
12:16we've seen them mess around with these contract situations many times and Pickkins is obviously a, >> you know, an interesting cat, a
12:23different dude. uh probably wants to be paid right now there. There's no question. Would you have a concern about that? And then anyway, even if he is,
12:31are we paying like the iron price on George Pickkins who as I said was obviously significant was boosted to wide receiver five overall last year and
12:40half PPR scoring to, you know, because of the games that CD Lamb missed. Are you concerned that we're we are we're
12:45paying up too much for pickings as a second round player?
12:49>> I mean, aren't we though? Like it seems pretty obvious that we're we're over we're we're paying the max price for
12:55George Pickkins here. I think he is um if Dallas is is healthy and right um and there's no reason why you know we think
13:04that CD Lamb is has like an injury history or anything like that. Right. So like >> um yeah given the history of George
13:12Pickkins I mean again forget about like he wants a new contract. You're you're telling me we've already seen this song and dance before. Like if he doesn't
13:21want to play and all of a sudden he gets nicked up and he's like, "Ah, you know what, man?
13:25>> I'm just not feeling it." You know, like that's not going to surprise anybody.
13:28That would shock absolutely no no one at all for him to be somewhere in this in the end of the second round here when
13:34you're also looking at players like Nico Collins. I know you and I both love Chris Ave um in this mix. I I just Yeah,
13:42I don't see it, man. I I again, I don't think George Pickkins is a great pick here. Now, if you were to tell me he was
13:48going to be at the end of the third round, oh yeah, I mean, of course, we're sign me up, right? But again, in this
13:54range, when we're also looking at Nico Collins, we're also looking at Chris Olive. Um, you know, Devonte Smith with AJ Brown gone. Are you kidding me, bro?
14:03Like, sign me up for those guys ahead of George Pickkins.
14:07>> Yeah, obviously the upside if everything comes together, we've already seen it.
14:10And this is a team that can, I think, support two wide receiver ones. Um, but you're just like kind of essentially
14:16betting on everything that happened last year running back exactly perfectly. So, and that just doesn't always happen. So, I think honestly he is uh someone that I
14:26would just feel more comfortable with as as a third rounder. Uh, on Nico Collins who, >> you know, is a late second rounder, 23
14:35overall ADP, you know, 12 team formats.
14:38I man, I think Nico is just very he's really underrated in Dynasty. I think he I think he has a chance at finishing as
14:45a top five receiver this year if he can stay healthy. And that's obviously the big question is if he can stay healthy.
14:50I like to see that the team uh made some level of commitment and investment in him uh with the contract uh boost. I
14:57like that. By the way, it's like, okay, who cares? Yeah, who who cares? Okay, we don't need to do an extension. Just give
15:03him some more money. We like that. Just give just give the guy more money. He deserves more money. His contract was
15:08insane before this. Looks a little bit better now. Deserves that. Um, can he stay healthy is the big question, but otherwise, I mean, he's an elite player
15:16at the position in my opinion. I think he checks all the boxes I want in terms of a tier one wide out. And then I also
15:23think that the and I've said this many times that the CJ Strad playoff, you know, poop his pants. Let's be honest,
15:30it was it was a disaster class from the postseason.
15:34>> One of the worst and I I tweeted this out. It's like one of the his game against the Patriots is one of the 10
15:39worst performances from an EPA per dropback standpoint that we've seen in the playoffs since 2007. Like a long long time. One of the worst quarterback
15:47ones.
15:48>> But that being said, in the regular season, he was sandwiched between Patrick Mahomes and Sam Darnold in EPA per dropback. So like he wasn't a
15:59nightmare in the regular season. I think just the games that we all saw like that Seattle game, prime time contest, the
16:07playoffs, I think that's like weighed down the perception of Stout. But to me, Strad is still more than good enough to
16:14get Nico Collins, who like these other pass catchers are interesting. I love to see Tank Dell back running routes. I don't know if he's going to be like a
16:22big featured player in the offense, but just good to see that. That's nice. Um, in addition to the fact like Higgins and
16:27Null should both take a step this year.
16:29That's great. But I think these guys are all like supporting actors, whereas Nico is a 25% target share player. Set it and
16:35forget it. So I really like him as a late second rounder.
16:39>> Same. And again, when we're comparing that price to George Pickkins, it's very they're again on, you know, DraftKings ADP, they're going back to back, right?
16:4623 24 George Pickkins, Nico Collins.
16:49Give me Nico Collins, man.
16:50>> I'll take Nico, too. I I just think again when we're talking about upside, you're talking about if everything comes together for George Pickkins, if
16:57everything comes together, he is a top 12 guy. I think if everything comes together for Nico Collins and Stout is not just absolutely, you know, scarred
17:06from his playoff disaster run. Um, if Stout is okay, if Nico stays healthy for 17 games, if they start to get extra
17:14production from Jaylen Null and Jaden Higgins and that run game um, stabilizes itself. I know you guys, it's like if you guys follow the show, it's like I
17:23don't think the run game is going to stabilize itself. But that being said, Nico Collins has top five wide receiver upside. So, I think the upside is even
17:32higher for somebody like Nico Collins.
17:34Even though um I do think that George Pickkins, even as a 17g game wide receiver, too, is is probably one of
17:41your safer picks um on the board. So, >> can I um can I say too, just like I mean, >> yeah,
17:49>> George, it goes Drake London, George Pickins, Nico Collins. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Nico Collins outproduces Drake London this year. And
17:56I love Drake London, as you know. I went on a needless impassioned rant, you know, about Drake London and and wide
18:03receiver stats and his contract on the show that we put out today.
18:07>> Yeah.
18:07>> That being said, we're talking about fantasy and it's Michael Pennix and it's to a tongue of Aloa and I I mean I
18:15I'm not to mention just like I don't I just really don't know how that offense is going to come together. So, yeah, I
18:20kind of think I might honestly break ties a little bit in favor uh of Nico there, even though maybe there's some
18:27more safety with Drake London because of his role and and the fact that London was hurt last year, but Nico is
18:33essentially he's missed games every season.
18:35>> Yeah, for sure. Um, okay. So, again, we get down to this like Chris Olive, we're now into the third round here, but Chris
18:41Olive, Devonte Smith, these two guys that I love these picks, bro. Like if we go running back heavy and we start
18:47picking up wide receivers in in the third, fourth round, man, like sign me up for Chris Lav and Devonte Smith. And
18:54in particular, Matt, I really want you to focus in on Dvonte here because AJ Brown is officially gone now in Philadelphia. And while they have tried
19:00to load up with different players, it is very clear that Devonte Smith is the man now. Um, and again, if you look
19:09at the profile of a of a top 10 wide receiver, somebody who who really outkicks coverage and surprises you,
19:18it's players that primarily get a bump in elevation. There's a target vacuum and then they also kick outside a lot more. If I if it sounds like I'm
19:29describing JSN because it's because I am >> because you are, [laughter] >> you know, but again, [clears throat] those guys who surprise,
19:38it's not like this has never happened.
19:40It happens almost every single year.
19:43Totally. Somebody tries to fill this target vacuum and they're just really good damn players um that get more opportunities to work outside and get
19:51some of those high leverage downfield routes.
19:54>> Yep. Um I like it a lot. Obviously, when we've seen Dvonte Smith lately, you mentioned he has been more of that slot
19:59player, and I think he's still going to run some routes from the slot because the good part about this offense that
20:03Shawn Manion is likely bringing over from Green Bay. I do think I've seen a little bit too much analysis about like
20:10it's going to be copy paste Green Bay because you have to remember like Shawn Manion has spent his time in the NFL
20:16around I mean not not long coaching.
20:19he's only coached for two years is like right not even a high high level assistant quarterback coached last year but I mean very new to coaching the last
20:26couple years but the guys that he's been under from a coaching standpoint like when when he was been playing >> playing uh you know he's got like deep
20:33backgrounds to like uh Oregon State and kind of some more Norv Turnerish stuff and then like Kevin Oonnell is most recently in Minnesota so
20:43>> I don't think it would be copypaste Green Bay but it's going to be off of that family tree >> and for me like I think I've seen too
20:49much overindexing of like is there going to be a receiver rotation or or or you know whatever. It's like I don't think
20:55so. I think it's going to be the type of system where everybody gets moved around a little bit for sure. But he's so good
21:01he can play X, he can play outside. Um he can play in the slot as well. He's going to get some of those slot reps,
21:06the breaking routes. And the thing I like the most about Devonte Smith from a like receiver dork standpoint. And I imagine that this is how it's going to
21:14go in Philly this year is they're going to try to blend the two worlds. They're going to try to blend if it works, which
21:20obviously this is a, you know, pretty significant variable, but uh if it works, I think they will try to blend what Jaylen Herz has done and been
21:28comfortable doing with what Shawn Manion wants to bring to the table. And if that's the case, when they do the more
21:34what they've done with Jaylen Herz of late, where it's kind of spread and shred, you know, more static routes from the perimeter, well, guess what? Devonte
21:43Smith can do that. Like, he can run those routes. he can get into the slot and he can like smokeman coverage on the
21:49vertical plane. If they want to do more of what I think Shawn Manion wants to do, which is under center play action,
21:55shoot it over the middle, go back and watch or uh check out my my film uh breakdown of this on the site. The game
22:02that AJ Brown missed against the Giants last year, they are just randomly that was one game that they went to a lot of
22:08under center play action and it's just like dig route, dig route, big dig route, inbreaker offplay action for Devonte Smith. So, he can live and
22:16thrive in both worlds, which is why I'm Yeah, I'm I'm very high on Smith as well. I have him wide receiver 11. I
22:22have him ranked ahead of AJ Brown for fantasy this season. Uh, and yeah, I do I think he's going to be really really
22:28good.
22:28>> Um, I really love this pick and I I just think it's one of these guys that could really surprise somebody that could
22:35legitimately be a league winner because of his current ADP and price right now. And I know that sounds like, wow, that's a big
22:43statement, but I mean, again, it's just he fits that profile of that guy that could really just come out gang busters
22:51and really be an absolute gamecher >> um at that wide receiver position. Okay, we've got Rasheed Rice here at at pick
23:00number 31. Go ahead, Matt. I was gonna say we've got two guys honestly in this round that we can just cross off at
23:05third round prices to me which unfortunately is Rishi Rice who's currently in jail. Uh and then we also have Malik. Yeah. Rehab, excuse me,
23:15>> he's rehabbing in jail. I like how there's a post going around that he's got like a a special exception. Oh, of
23:20course he does. Of course he's got like a special exception because he's a he's a football player. Like yeah, guess what? Not re not real, you know, human
23:27being privileges for these folks, too.
23:30Yeah, he's getting he's going to get some special treatment. That's fine.
23:33He's still rehabbing a knee a knee injury, like a knee surgery from jail.
23:36Still crazy. And then the other obviously one that I think you can go ahead and cross off is just like I he
23:40can't take Malik Neighbors at 34th overall. I just said all those things about how incredible he was last year, that 98th percentile success rate versus
23:48press. You punch him into the player comparison tool right now and he's showing two Jamar Chase seasons. Like that's the player that he could be.
23:55Okay. Like if he could he could stay healthy, he could be that guy. But I just don't believe based on what we've
23:59seen right now him, you know, waltzing to first base at the softball game. And then importantly, just all of the updates, I mean, this was an ACL tear
24:08plus a meniscus and he had to have a second cleanup surgery on it. His head coach, John Harbaugh, says that he is in
24:14the quote grind and the slog of a, you know, not just knee injury, not just a simple knee injury. So, yeah, I I think
24:22it's going to like neighbors obviously can't take him here. And frankly, like just because there's so many good receivers in this range, I I really
24:28can't take him there. So, the good part about this third round range, if you want to talk like favorite pick, there's
24:33just I mean, there's just a lot of guys there that we that we like. Chris Olive, I think could have an elite season,
24:39Dvonte Smith, like there's just guys to >> guys to cross off there, Rice. But what do you think about uh Mecha Ibuka as a
24:45as a third rounder? I'm I'm curious your take on that.
24:49>> Well, can we take a just a look at this grouping? And I just have a strong take on this. Amecha Ibuka who we see. We've
24:56got Zay Flowers, Lad McConi, and Garrett Wilson in here. And the funny thing is to me, um I mean, if you're not taking
25:05Lad McConi, what are we doing? You know, like this is this guy's got to be in my opinion, I I'm surprised he's ranked
25:13below a Mecha Ibuka. I'm surprised he's below T. Higgins, A Flowers. It's just to me, he is the number one. And I want
25:20the guy who is the number one, right?
25:22I'm And again, Amecha Ibuku came out gang busters, Matt. Um, we've obviously talked about this a lot on our show that, you know, if you It's so obvious,
25:31you know, like he came out gang busters, he slowed down late. Okay, but here's my my issue with Ibuka at this price, which
25:38is are we sure he's the number one?
25:41>> Are we sure it's not Chris Godwin? Like, I know Chris Godwin is old and boring, you know what I mean? But like, are we
25:47sure it's not Chris Godwin? Like I'm not 100% convinced it's not Chris Godwin being the wide receiver one for Tampa Bay in 2026.
25:55>> Yeah. And like I just actually finished Jaylen McMillan's charting too and like he was I mean it was only four games so
26:00obviously small sample size of course and but he was coming back from neck injury and you know all that and I think
26:06but I think he had a pretty nice year. A couple player comparisons for him. Uh his profile will be up uh should be up
26:12tomorrow morning. But couple comparisons for him. Jerry Judy's 2024 season and Jameson Williams 2024 season. Obviously like those guys are, you know, hit and
26:20miss players, but I think that kind of shows you who uh he is in terms of Jaylen McMillan like a volatile deep
26:27threat that is actually pretty decent.
26:29You know, it was like pretty good. I I I actually was imp pleasantly surprised by what Jaylen McMillan showed, which just
26:35makes it more crowded because obviously they drafted Ted Hurst in the third round.
26:39>> Yeah. I will say though, James, I agree with your point about the the Chris Godwin thing and I think Chris Godwin is
26:45probably underpriced, but I do think that like and and maybe I'm being an idiot here, but the one update that we got from Zack Robinson
26:55when they get well, exactly what you're showing on the screen here right now from from Scribbles, uh is that I I just
27:01like love that Zack Robinson said that he's going to play him as the Z receiver, which in this system will essentially like alternate between
27:08outside off the and in the slot.
27:10>> Yeah.
27:11>> With all the motion and stuff like that.
27:13And man, I just think that's a much better fit for a mecha I bua than how much outside on ball stuff you played
27:18last year.
27:20>> And I kind of I like I said, I don't want to just overindex on one damn comment from OTAAS, which
27:26>> uh a good our good buddy Dan Campbell said called it the pajama party in May.
27:32That's what he referred to OTAAS as, which I love that. So, I don't want to get over overzealous on that, but man, I
27:39do think that that bumped EMCA up in my mind. Like, I was I was kind of concerned about him just being whatever
27:45this year, but I do think he can at least flirt with wide receiver one production, but there's a lot of variables beyond just that. But, I I am
27:52maybe James, you could tell me a receiver dork, but uh I I do think Well, you could definitely tell me that, but
27:57like that I'm overindexed on just receiver dork stuff in terms of getting high on him just with that comment.
28:03>> No, you're not overindexed, dude. First of all, like that you are a a a freaking receiver dork. What are you talking
28:09about? This is the whole brand, man.
28:11It's all good.
28:11>> Yeah, I've even got the Jeffrey Dmer glasses on. Somebody called them Jeffrey Dmer glasses in the chat. Um my sister
28:17said that that to me too about these glasses and I was like, they don't look like Jeffrey, but I guess tough scene.
28:24Anyways, >> yeah. Either way, um in Tampa Bay, I'm not 100% sure. Um, and I, you know, and I, and I saw here, you know, uh, I'm not
28:32worried about Godwin. And I get it.
28:34Like, I'm not saying for sure Godwin's going to be the one, but I'm not not saying it. You know what I mean? Like,
28:42there's there's at least a question there. Whereas in LA, when we're talking about Lad Mcconi, to me, in my mind, there's no question. Like,
28:50he's the number one. And I just talked about the the that that similar JSN profile of like, okay, he played primarily in the slot. um can it kick
28:58outside, do some things uh as an outside receiver, uh both as a flanker and as an X? And honestly, I just think that Lad
29:06Maki is so damn good that he can give you reps outside. I think he can't and and again, we're talking about sub what
29:12sub44 speed. I mean, shoot, why can't he get over the top of some of these guys?
29:17You know what I mean? So, >> I don't know, man. like he is another player that I'm going to invest heavily
29:22in whether we're talking about baseball or reddraft but especially in baseball where you have to chase ceiling where if you're in one of these big tournaments
29:29you got to chase ceiling like let's the only thing we got to chase who cares about floor and safety you know it's
29:34like you only going to win that way and if I'm chasing just pure ceiling upside guys like Devonte Smith I want guys like
29:42Vlad Maki who have a new role there's a huge vacuum of targets that need to be eaten up and I think those guys are the
29:50guys that are going to be, you know, taking those targets home. So, I don't know, man. Like, I look at this group of
29:56players. Um, you know, and again, if you think TE is going to outscore Lad, totally could happen, man. Like, absolutely. You know, Cincinnati's
30:05defense is still not very good. They're going to have to toss the ball all over the yard. T's going to be heavily
30:10involved. If he scores 15 touchdowns, I again, I it'd be great. I I wouldn't be shocked by it. Um, but I think that's
30:18the way that he outscores Lad. It's not going to be through traditional PPR like volume stats, right? Like it's going to
30:24be through touchdowns. And if that happens, then great. Good for him. I just want the guy that in Lad Maki that
30:30I think can catch, you know, 100 to 10 footballs, get you 1500 yards, and surprise you with, you know, anywhere between 8 to 10 touchdowns, man. Like,
30:40that's the kind of player that I want to go go after. And I I really feel confident that that Lad Maki at least
30:46has that profile in him to just shoot the moon. You know what I mean?
30:50>> I dig it. Yeah. No, and I I like where he's going and I'm with you that I think he's undervalued. Wide receiver 18 right
30:56now. I'm going to have him closer to like 15. I'm certainly going to be hiring consensus on him in Dynasty. I
31:01love how by the way we we uh I would just say final answer in terms of round three favorite pick is definitely Chris
31:06Olive, but Ibuka is a little bit close to me. Round four is is we've got a ton of wide receivers to discuss here. We
31:12already breaking down Lad Maki. I love by the way that technically we just skipped over Z Flowers as a [laughter] which kind of feels appropriate.
31:21>> It does. I mean he's you know who he is.
31:23He's a zone beating number one and that's it. You know that's >> I I am excited about this Ravens offense. You know I I actually do think
31:32De Yeah, I think I'm excited to see what Declan do I'm excited to see what Declan Doyle brings to the table. I am excited
31:38about that.
31:39>> I'm excited about that. I know you're never gonna be excited about the 29year-old, you know, uh, offensive coordinator. I get that. I I totally I
31:46totally get it. But just funny that we we skipped over him. [laughter] >> Just we know who Z know who Zay is. Um,
31:55>> we know who Zay is. We know what he's going to do. He looks awesome on the per route metrics. I think he's a really
32:00good player in real life, too. Actually kind of getting like a little underrated, I think, in real life for how good he is.
32:06>> Yeah, that's true. No, no, I think that's true. Yeah, from a fantasy standpoint, like he does, I think, have a little bit of a cap touchdown ceiling
32:12as long as like Derrick Henry is there and everything. Um, the other part of it, too, is just I don't know. I mean,
32:19yeah, I'm with you. Just be kind of skeptical about this Ravens offense, but generally I do think he is a guy that's
32:24probably doesn't have like top five receiver in his range of outcomes where I do think um I think Lad probably does.
32:32But anyways, I do think it's funny we skipped over, but here here are the receivers. Uh we've got in fourth round
32:37ADP and it's a ton of them. Z Flowers, Lad Mccanki, Garrett Wilson, Tedo McMillan, DJ Moore, Luther Burden, Devonte Adams, and Terry McLuren. Um
32:48mixed bag. Any anybody that you love or hate uh in this group.
32:54>> Here's the thing, Matt. Right below those guys is also Jaylen Wadd.
32:57>> Oh, yeah.
32:59>> And I know that we feel really strongly about Jaylen Wadd, too, right? So, uh, >> you want to hear Do you want to hear
33:05where I have Jaylen Wadd ranked?
33:06>> Go ahead.
33:07>> Wide receiver wide receiver 12.
33:10>> I mean, there you go. Boom. That's >> I'm very Yeah. Well, he he's technically fifth round and but whatever. Like, but
33:17still. Yeah. I I'm very high on Jaylen Wadd this year. Almost like two maybe two high.
33:22>> Let Let me ask you a question, Matt. If you were if we were doing this um draft for reals and you had a pick in the like
33:28the second pick of the fourth round and you're looking at this wide receiver list and you see Jaylen Wadd down there,
33:35are you going to risk it?
33:36>> You going just take him?
33:38>> I'm going to just take him. Uh there's nobody here that I would have him ahead of. Honestly, I think when I'm looking
33:44Yeah, I would just I would I would take him over these guys and I would honestly feel great about it. Like I think that
33:49he for me in my rankings I'm going to have >> uh I've got I've got Dvonte Smith, Jaylen Wadd, Vlad Maki, wide receiver 11
33:57uh to 13 there. So yeah, I would not risk it. I would take him uh over all of those guys there. I to me I think
34:03tier-wise uh I definitely would would prefer him higher. It is funny. I just I did see a a name uh excuse me headline
34:12today about uh about Bonix being like he's going to be a more active participant or like more of a something like that in in training camp than he is
34:20in mini camp or something to that nature. Like I would kind of like to hear one really good update about Bo
34:25Nicks before I kind of go >> balls to the wall here like yeah before I before I you know just hang it all out
34:32there for for Jaylen Wadd. But damn. I mean, yeah, it's uh it's it's it's I'm very high on Waddle this year. The other
34:39guy I think is really interesting in this range, too, and he's not the next ranked player after those guys, but it's
34:43Terry McLuren at the end of the round, dude. I mean, >> yeah, >> I think I think Terry's going to have a
34:48massive year this year. Uh, walk me through that, dude. I'm a little bit worried about the age. Um, and I like,
34:55you know, I like the fact that they made a change at OC. You you know me, I'm not a big Cliff Kingsbury guy at all. Um,
35:01but so for them to make any change outside of Cliff Kingsbury, I'm going to enjoy. Um, but but yeah, I know that the
35:07quarterback is getting healthy. Jaden Daniels is is now back there again, uh, healthier. We're now going into year number three. But, man, I I just am a
35:15little bit concerned about the overall health of the offense. You know, it doesn't feel like the offense is in a I
35:25don't know, man. like it it just feels like it's either a midling unit or or going to be struggling to be um
35:30relevant, you know.
35:32>> I hear you. I just think at wide receiver 24 like I think some of the risk is baked in there from an injury
35:38standpoint both for him and I think also last year >> to me I didn't see any signs that like Terry McLuren is declining. I think we
35:46just he was banged up and and kind of started slow because he was the contract holdout guy last year. This is just like
35:52that's what happens, man.
35:53>> Yeah. And I love to hear like how he was at the podium this week talking about how excited he was about the new
35:59offense. I was joking around about this with Justin Boon over on my Yahoo show uh [laughter] about how you know he was
36:07like, "Well, you know, I loved I do love to hear that that David Blau said he's going to move Terry McLuren around and
36:13stuff and and he's like, "But coaches always say that." I was like, "Yeah, but but Boon, this is the one time that like
36:18a coach can say that and he absolutely means it." Yeah. because there's no way he'll move around less [laughter] than he did in the old off. Correct.
36:26>> And I think that's a big part of like why we could see a boost here at least for this year,
36:31>> you know, for Terry McLuren, man. Like that's what I I just think because he's going to move around. I'm probably going
36:36to be overindexed on all these like guys that have some relationship to Ben Johnson just because I think that offense is great, which Blau does, of
36:43course, which uh we talked about Declan Doyle, he does as well. So yeah, I I kind of think like to me just I feel as
36:48if Terry McLaren is like a top 20 player more than like a top 24 receiver, which is kind of where he is um right now. So
36:56I I think I do think Terry's in in line for a good year.
36:59>> Can I can I make this case though because this is a best ball discussion.
37:05I feel like I like Terry a lot more in regular reddraft and not so much for this format because >> I almost kind of feel the opposite.
37:15That's funny.
37:16>> Yeah. Okay. Okay. Okay. You think that some spike weeks could happen here with Terry?
37:21>> Yeah. Right. Like I mean he's a spike week guy and and I do think he's going to run fewer just like straight line
37:27routes um you know and just sort of exceed.
37:33>> He has to. This is what I'm saying. Like he can't he quite literally cannot run fewer straight line routes at the left
37:40outside receiver position. [laughter] like it has to it will happen just mathematically in a cliff offense it's gonna happen.
37:46>> Anyways, >> I still want to say like yeah the just all the skewed alignment player only skewed alignment players in the NFL are
37:52like three Cliff Kingsbury seasons and one Chip Kelly uh Nelson Agro season.
37:55Anyways, >> um but yeah, still I I think that like Terry will have those spike weeks though because he's still a really good
38:01vertical player on the boundary and like he kind of has to be their vertical guy because Antonio Williams I like I'm sure
38:06we'll talk about him at some point but like yeah he's a guy who um is more of a slot Z movearound type player. Can I ask
38:11you about Tedo McMillan?
38:13>> Yeah, one of my favorite players, man. I love this guy.
38:16>> Fourth round ADP, 40th overall. He's sandwiched between Garrett Wilson, who like is just going to do the same thing every year until the end of time where
38:22like we know it could be better, but it probably won't be better, but it'll still be fine. So, I'm okay with him as
38:28a fourth round player. [laughter] And I love Garrett Wilson, but that's just this is the zone we're in right now. DJ
38:34Moore, which I you I wouldn't take DJ Moore at this this price, but so so Tedar McMillan 41st overall. Are you in
38:40on on McMillan at that in that range?
38:42>> Uh, I think I am. Um, again, great player. I mean, who's to say he doesn't take another step forward and and and
38:49you know, just become a more of a beast than he already is. He has he had such a great rookie campaign, man. Like,
38:56>> um, yeah, I want to buy I want to invest in on those guys. And not to mention, um, I know Liam Cohen stole the
39:03the spotlight, but I think Dave Canel's had another great year offensively like designing plays for Carolina. I thought the run game was extremely good. Um, I
39:12thought the passing game was extremely good, too. Like Dave, I think Dave Canales is developing as a head coach, too. So, yeah, let me invest in those
39:20guys.
39:21Yeah, I agree with you about everything you just said in terms of, you know, the the Dave Canal of it all, their run
39:27game, especially uh Nate Tyson and I were talking today for a pre-tape show is going to come out like in July, so it
39:33was like the all average team essentially. And we kind of kept talking about like Panthers offensive lineman and and even I think Trouba Hubard's not
39:41an average NFL back, but he probably is like an average starting back. Rico D kind of like an average starting back
39:46and their run game kicks ass. like that coaching staff is really really good with not a ton of like players, right?
39:51But anyways, I I do think the problem for Tedo McMillan though and I mean last year he was I agree with you really good
39:58for rookie receiver while playing a bunch of big boy ex receiver. But just bottom line, he was wide receiver 26 in
40:07points per game and he was pretty much healthy the entire season. So you can't really do like the oh he was banged up
40:13this that this that and and the other.
40:16And so far, I saw this from Jared Smlet today. Draft Sharks does really good work, and I think this is just, we all
40:22know this, but it's probably worth pointing it out. Uh, he he noted that quarterback Bryce Young returns for his fourth NFL season, limiting his offenses
40:30upside. Young has mustered 6.0 yards per attempt for his career, including 6.3 in each of the last two seasons. Carolina hasn't finished better than 23rd in
40:39total yards or points in any of Young's three seasons. This is how it uh ranks.
40:45They ran in his rookie season 32nd in yards, 29th in 2024, and 27th last year when he was better points, 32nd in his
40:55rookie year, 23rd in 2024, and 27th in points in yards last year. So, it's just kind of like, and now there's like a lot of other pass
41:03catchers in the mix, too. You know, they draft Chris Brazzle, who I think will be more of a clear out guy and actually
41:09could help McMillan play fewer X snaps.
41:12Um, you know, my guy Coker is a baller freaking stud.
41:18>> Uh, come on. Let's go Jaylen Coker. And they're gonna be runheavy. Like they are going to be run heavy. So I do think the
41:25volume could be just a problem for Tedaro and McMillan.
41:29>> Can I I I want to offer one counter to that, which is uh two years ago Carolina's defense was one of the worst
41:35in the NFL. Last year they were absolutely respectable. Um, if you didn't think they were respectable, you just weren't watching Carolina games.
41:42And by the way, if you want to watch your Carolina games, I don't [laughter] >> that's what we do.
41:48>> We do that. You guys don't have to.
41:50>> But Carolina's defense was absolutely respectable. As a matter of fact, I would argue they were one of the better run defenses in the NFL, which was a
41:59shocking development. A shocking development given what we had seen two years ago uh with Carolina. Now, it's kind of sort of like, all right, where
42:08do we land on this defense, Matt?
42:10Because if Carolina's defense takes a step back, and I think that they will. I think they over overperformed last year.
42:16I think if they take a step back, I think Carolina will be forced into more heavier pass game scripts and potentially we see a little bit of more
42:25of T McMillan. And by the way, if he be if he takes a step forward, isn't it possible too that he becomes a target
42:34sponge where it's just like, dude, we just got to get this guy the [ __ ] football, you know?
42:38>> Yeah. Um, and I agree with you. Like I like Jaylen Coker. I really do. He's a really good player.
42:43>> Careful.
42:43>> Um, [laughter] no, but but but who I mean the the tight end room is a little is very much a work in progress. The
42:51running backs like they they're not going to throw to the running backs all that often. I I I feel as if if the
42:58target if the target volume has to come up, passing volume comes up just a little bit. And if Ted takes a step
43:03forward and becomes more of a target hog, well, now we're throwing on two and a half more targets per game and then
43:11all of a sudden he becomes now he elevates, you know?
43:14>> Yeah. I could just see him being kind of like a solid wide receiver, too, more than like a wide, which I obviously is
43:20fair where he's going, you know? I just I just do think the up like the path to upside for him >> is a is a little capped which maybe
43:29that's more of like a dynasty ranking take than a reddraft take. But >> when I look at the like I do see a path
43:35honestly for Terry McLuren to finish as a wide receiver one. You know, I I do think it's probably unlikely, but I do
43:43see a path where Garrett Wilson kind of has, you know, that that se like a wide receiver one season if Gino Smith is
43:51just better and like they're throwing the football because their defense isn't very good. Like I think that's >> that's possible. Uh even Luther Burton,
43:58again, I think it's unlikely. Uh and I prefer a Dunay around later than Burden.
44:03We can talk about that in a second here because I know people want to hear about the foot stuff with the
44:06>> Dunes.
44:08pause. Uh, but I think like when you when you look at like just the whole uh Luther Burton part of it, like he's he
44:14that offense could just be so good that everybody eats and he just has like a monster year. So I I do just wonder if
44:19the upside path for for Mc for McMillan's a little harder to paint. But yeah, I don't know.
44:25>> I think that's totally fair.
44:27>> Yeah, I'm I'm again I'm just trying to paint a picture uh that he can, you know, rise to that level. But man,
44:32there's there's a lot of moving parts when when you start talking about that here. Uh, anyone in this group here that
44:38you've gotten major concerns with? Um, you said you're not a DJ Moore guy. You know, again, I I just I wonder, you
44:43know, it's like he's working with a great quarterback in um in Buffalo there with Josh Allen. He's clearly the number one. I I can't imagine there's somebody
44:53else that we we like more than DJ Moore uh in Buffalo. And yet, I I think I'm kind of sort of with you. I think
45:00there's too many red flags on his profile where I'm like, I don't know, man. He could go the other way where he
45:07just completely falls off too. I I think that is part of the range of outcomes when we're talking about DJ Moore.
45:14>> I Yeah, I do just kind of feel like every season, at least the last three, last two in Chicago and then this year.
45:21I just feel like DJ Moore is not like a like a guy I just oh my god, I got to fade him. But I just like always a
45:27little overpriced in fantasy. And I think he's always just been one of those guys that fantasy managers have been higher on, you know, maybe than than I
45:34would think. So, I think he's a really good player. I'm a fan of DJ DJ's game.
45:38And um I I honestly think that, you know, DJ I really like talking to DJ and like I he's was a good great interview.
45:47I've always really liked speaking with him over the years, but just to me, I just I you know, it's it's kind of like
45:53the play is definitely lower than where it was in Carolina. I think he fits Joe Brady's offense. And I actually like Joe
45:58Brady maybe more than um the consensus does. But yeah, to me I just feel like he's a more of a fifth rounder than a
46:04fourth rounder. Like I look at some of the receivers in the fifth round. I think I like these [clears throat] guys
46:08at least more if and certainly Waddle who we already talked about.
46:12>> Yeah, >> I like these guys better than I I would like they're at least they should be in the same round as DJ Moore.
46:18>> Jaylen Wadd, Jameson Williams. Um you've got Mike Evans here in the mix. Romeo Dunay who everyone is very concerned with and the newly paid, newly minted
46:30Christian Watson in this price range as well. Um, give me your thoughts here on some of these players. Maybe we start
46:38here with Rome. Uh, we talked about him on the podcast, but again, new >> we avoided talking about him on the
46:44podcast cuz we were [laughter] going long.
46:48>> Correct. But the foot injury update in regards to Romo Duna, he says it just even now still doesn't feel like he's,
46:55you know, his old self. It's it's interesting. I think a lot of people who are um more injury, you know, there's
47:05like a lot of like Twitter doctors and stuff and I and I don't mean that disparagingly, by the way. There's there's like Twitter doctors are
47:11>> literally doctors on Twitter. Yeah, >> exactly. And they're amazing, dude.
47:14You know, like such great information. Um so yeah. Um, and so I've seen a lot of th of them post that
47:23they're not that concerned and you know the feeling is different than the performance and I think there's something to that but still though
47:32obviously an area of concern. Yeah, it's here's the way I would say it. And I I actually thought Adam Levantan had a
47:39really good uh post on this where he said how to react to the Roma Dunay um you know no like foot thing is
47:47essentially uh if you're a Luther burden truther you'd be like yes he Rome is cooked and if you are uh like a Roma
47:53doomsday bro you just [laughter] say the uncatch you just you wave it off you say the uncatchable target stat again and
47:59and you remind everybody that he was hurt when he was bad last year. Um, and as a certified Roma Dunce bro, I'm not
48:05going to actually fully brush it off.
48:06I'm actually going to shockingly come down in the center on this. And look, I Yeah, shocker. But the reality is, man,
48:12like number one, like nobody knows. I do think the the quote, which of course was aggregated and stupid and whatever. Um,
48:22like when you actually look at what he said, um, he was asked when did your foot feel normal again? After he was
48:28talking, he was, you know, saying he was asking, "Is your foot 100% healthy?" and he said, "I mean, I feel like if you
48:33break a bone, you always got to make sure you're on top of it. I continue to rehab on it, make sure I'm keeping it
48:37strong, that's both feet, whether it comes to different exercises that give me and the rehab as well that I do uh
48:42off the field. But I feel like, yeah, you got to stay on top of it." Uh 100 when we're in the Super Bowl and we win
48:46that and we raise that trophy, it'll feel 100. And he was asked, "When did your foot feel normal again?" He said,
48:51"Felt normal. Felt usual." Pause in the transcript. This is my new normal. This is my new normal. It's not from a
48:58standpoint like I'm always in pain, but the way my foot broke, there's a callous in there that creates a different type
49:03of foot structure with those bones and different things. It kind of uh shifted things around. My new normal is kind of
49:09what I'm growing into. And I don't think that's anything that's going to prohibit me or keep me from making plays, but I
49:15feel like with the break, it's like when you tear your AC joint, it never really gets back to normal. Shout out to Keenan
49:20Allen. He tapped the shoulder bump. It's a little different, but we go on. Uh, so I think the like full quote is less
49:27scary than the >> I agree, >> you know, oh, it doesn't feel normal.
49:31Um, and I but I will admit as somebody that has uh it it has a um, you know, as a Rashad Baitman guy who he had the Liz
49:40Frank injury and I really think he was never the same after that. I'm going to, you know, I'm going to at least
49:44acknowledge it. I'm going to keep an eye on it. I'm not going to ignore it. It's something to monitor, but I don't think
49:47it like changed anything. Any ways, um, I also think that the the the the idea too that just like he's out there
49:54practicing in OTAAS. He's not limited at all. By all the reports, he looks good.
49:58He's fully participating, everything. I think that's um that's totally like fine. By the way, also, just because this was in the chat, the uh Ray GQ
50:06cited something today from a Jesse Morris ex post about Allen Robinson commenting on it say he never felt the same. Not an apples to apple comp. But I
50:14just want to address this too because as an Allen Robinson guy, I did see that he replied to Jesse Morris and said, you
50:19know, he had a foot fracture in year nine and it was just never really the same. And people saw they're like, "Oh,
50:23that was what crushed Alen Robinson." I will say, and I say this is an A-Rod guy. I love I love Allen Robinson.
50:29>> But year nine was in the middle of that Rams season. I I I think we can and I think people forget that when he said
50:36year nine, they're like, "Oh, see I kind of think it wasn't going very well for Alan Robinson before that foot fracture." So, I I just want to note
50:42that like because that felt I think that added to the scariness of it and yeah, I just wanted to note that.
50:48>> That's good stuff, man. I think that's uh that's perfect um you know, context in regards to what Allan Robinson said right there. That's
50:55really really good. Uh okay, so we've got again we've got Roma Dunce here going I mean a fullon round after Luther
51:04Burton. I just find that to be very interesting. It really feels like and we've seen this in years past where guys
51:10go like back to back, you know, where like they're basically their prices are exactly the same and it feels as if um I
51:16don't know the the fantasy community at large feels so much better about Luther Burden and then there's like then there's like old heads like me, you
51:24know? I'm just like give me the guy who's got better price because I kind of view them as the same where it's just
51:31like what the pricing is wrong, you know? Like it feels like they should be the same. Give me the guy who's a full
51:37round cheaper than Luther Burton. I totally agree. And the other part, and that that's just the strategy part of it, like I want all of these Bears pass
51:47catchers and I'm just getting one cheaper than the other uh by a full round in terms of the wide receivers.
51:54And I will say like this is more of a contrarian thing and I'm just filing away. I love Coulson Lovelin. I'm a big
52:00Coulson Lovelin guy. He's obviously a stud, but like there's two wide receivers competing for targets here.
52:04And typically we just see wide receivers outperform tight ends. So I just think that's a little bit something to file away as everybody's just kind of
52:11>> penciling in Coulson Level will easy easily be the most productive player on this passing game. And I love Coulson Lovelin, so don't take it as as Lovelin
52:18shade. But the Rome thing too, I will just end up ranking Rome ahead of Luther Burton because he's I just think he's
52:26he's a like what we've seen from him is as better than Luther Burton. I think it's a tossup >> in terms of which ones the wide receiver
52:32won if you want to go down that road.
52:34But, you know, Rum's a third-year player who was a starter last year and when he was healthy before the injury was
52:42playing extremely well. Like a couple of random drops here and there, sure, but like Luther Burton never really fully like broke out from a like I know he had
52:51great per route stats and and I'm high on Luther Burton, but I also think that we are forgetting that Adun started,
53:00played really well, and like was a full-time starter. I've never actually seen Luther Burton as a full-time starting receiver, but I think he's good
53:07and I think he can be. But it's just I do find that the ADP is just overindexing on what we saw most
53:13recently, which by the way was also not even most recent. It was just fantasy.
53:17Like in the postseason, Luther Burton disappeared.
53:20>> Like he [laughter] he did go, >> dude. It's a great >> the per route stats. Got to cut you got
53:25to cut him off at the postseason cuz he averaged like one yard per route in the postseason. So that's >> yeah I I just think at some point like
53:33we we just are like people love Luther Burton because they love yards per route run and I I love it's a great stat and I
53:39think Luther Burn's a good player but I I think Rome should be ranked ahead this year.
53:43>> I just think he does more on the football field like he can he can run more actual routes like he can be a
53:50bigger part of Ben Johnson's like you know regular structured offense. Um I just I don't know man. Anyways, >> I think I think that's true. I think
54:00that's true. I just would say like they get they can both get to explosive plays. I do think like >> burden is a little safer from
54:08quarterback chaos. So, it does kind of depend on your um your quarterback take.
54:12Uh or like if you think Caleb Williams is going to take a step forward, I think you should be high on Roma Dunce. If you
54:16think Caleb Williams is not going to take a step forward, like yeah, Burton getting probably the easier layup targets like you're going to rack up a
54:22lot of like in a PPR format like this, you're going to rack up a lot of catches. So, by no means am I out on
54:27Luther Bird and I just am in on Roma Dunes. Like, I think they probably should both be fourth round picks.
54:32>> Yeah. Like, it's it's like I said, it's just especially at cost, right? Like, >> yeah, >> give me the guy who's going a full round
54:38later, man. Totally.
54:38>> Um, okay. So, when you take a look at the next round again, it's it's kind of sort of interesting. I don't know where
54:43you're at Christian Watson. I I I'm actually surprised to see him this high.
54:47Uh, but we've got Carnell Tate, Parker Washington, uh, Marvin Harrison Jr., Jordan Tyson. Jordan Tyson going this high too is a little bit of a surprise
54:57here too, man. Uh but what do you think about this ne next batch of wide receivers?
55:01>> Yeah, talk about like we haven't seen anything from Rome about oh like he says this thing about his foot and they're
55:06like not managing him. He's fully go fully going. They were like yeah we want to get 17 games out of him. Let's go.
55:11Meanwhile, Ben Johnson is like almost kind of throwing Kyler Gordon under the bus because he's been dealing with injuries. So very different reactions
55:18there in terms of players that have been hurt lately. But I say that to say that like the Saints are already actively
55:23managing Jordan Tyson, which I do think is an interesting variable when we're talking about him as a sixth round fantasy pick and and that was why some
55:29people had skepticism about him as a prospect because of the injury. So something to file away there. Don't want to overreact of course to the pajama
55:35party in May. Uh as Dan Campbell put it, although we are in June, I think we're still in the pajama parties. I like
55:41Carninal Tate in the sixth round, man. I really do. I think when we did one of our videos on the YouTube channel, which
55:47by the way, if you're watching the YouTube channel, you're watching this with us right now and a lot of you guys
55:50haven't watched it, you should subscribe to the freaking channel if you haven't already.
55:54>> Exactly.
55:54>> Subscribe to the channel. Come on.
55:56Anyways, we did a video about like guys that are rookies we like. And I like Carnell Tate simply because I think by
56:02the time you guys are doing DraftKings drafts and best and everything in like a month or two, he's going to be a fifth
56:07rounder, not a sixth rounder. So therefore, I really like that sixth round ADP on him. I think Cam Ward, I saw our quarterback uh writer charter
56:15Alfredo Brown is going to file a Cam Ward piece here soon and he's really excited about what he saw. And Cam Ward,
56:21I know other quarterback evaluators are.
56:23So, I think there's still some there's some questions to be answered by Ward for sure, but I think he has the ceiling
56:28to uh to really kick ass like if everything comes together for Cam Ward and then Carnell Tate obviously will benefit.
56:35>> Uh retired Ridley truther, we appreciate you right there. [laughter] >> Yeah, great handle, man. a great handle.
56:42Um, alerts on. Yeah, man. Uh, subscribe to Matt's channel here. Uh, turn them alerts on. But, uh, but yeah, we we're
56:48going to have a lot more best content here. If you guys haven't noticed, we we have partnered here with DraftKings. Um,
56:53so again, um, go check out their game, obviously. Um, we've got links in the descriptions and all that kind of stuff,
56:59man. But, uh, go check it out. Uh, if you would be so kind as to, um, you know, click on those links if you're
57:05going to play basketball, that would help us and the channel out considerably. So, yeah, man. Um, let's get it going here. But, um, okay. So,
57:12you take a look. You like Carnell Tate.
57:13I love Carnell Tate. Um, there's been a a big question, I think, in Jacksonville in regards to, okay, you see Parker
57:20Washington at 63, Brian Thomas Jr.
57:24almost 10 picks later at 71.
57:27Where are we at in Jacksonville when we're talking about these two guys?
57:31>> All right, I'm not going to cop out here, but, you know, we are, shockingly for the two of us running long and uh,
57:38we're only in the sixth round. I'd like to get to at least into the double digits here. So, I'm not going to cop
57:43out, but I'm going to cop out and say like >> I just haven't charted Parker Washington yet. And I really think he's like a guy
57:48I need to chart before I I give like a full take on. Um I do like Parker Washington. Um but I but I think Brian
57:55Thomas Jr. in the seventh round is a solid bet. You know, I think talked about him on reception perception of the
58:01show where I said I'm kind of willing to give him a pass for what he did last year like on on film, you know, just
58:07because of the injuries. I don't know if you saw him talking about his injury at OTAAS where he said uh well it doesn't
58:12hurt to run anymore >> uh now that [snorts] he's a little healthier. So that's good that I was like yeah it looked like it hurt last
58:18year and yeah for a wide receiver I think that's a good freaking update.
58:22Anyways uh I that's good to see from him and I do think that he he can bounce back individually. I think fantasy-wise
58:29the question is just like how crowded it is there which I think is a big variable. Um, is it I I just feel like
58:36Jordan Tyson's too high here, man. Like I like Shock. I like New Orleans. I love what >> I love Shock, but Yeah.
58:41>> I mean, yeah, I like what New Orleans is doing for sure. It just feels Man, it just feels This feels like a very pricey
58:46pick here. Jordan Tyson uh in the mid60s to me.
58:51>> Yeah. And Mai Lemon in the seventh round two is like I'm not really into either of those two rookies in reddraft this
58:56year. Yeah. I mean, like, if we get a lot of good reports about Jordan Tyson, he's smoking training camp and he's
59:02fully healthy and everything, like I'm I probably would be a little bit more in there. But I do just think Chris is
59:07going to be the guy that's going to have a a monster monster year.
59:10>> Um, level of concern, very quickly, level of concern for Alec Pierce and his offseason ankle injury.
59:17>> I mean, definitely something to note and also just a guy that wide receiver 34 I think is a perfect price for him. 72
59:24overall. Uh but I do, you know, he's never he's a guy that's a really good player. Obviously, his reception perception profile. Um you know, he he
59:32shows that like he can do more than just be a vertical, you know, go route guy or whatever. Um, but still I think even if
59:40he is the player he was last year when he had this big season, you know, he's pretty comparable to like uh early
59:46career Nico Collins and and you know there's like a Mike Evans season in there and stuff like that. But so it's
59:51just kind of going to be a guy that runs a little hot and cold, you know, um if he even if he does hit and is healthy.
59:58So I think there's some level of concern uh for him for sure.
60:02>> By the way, can I um I know we haven't talked about Marvin Harrison Jr. yet, but my my fantasy take on Marvin
60:07Harrison Jr. is that he did not get to participate um in the in the crazy output production-wise that they got >> the scam.
60:20Did not participate in the scam. Um and and I'd be interested to see a full season of this. Plus, they've got, you
60:28know, um little Laflur over there, so they're going to restructure that offense >> uh just a little bit. But it's like,
60:34come on. like there are I think there's indicators that Marvin Harrison could legitimately take um a really I don't want to say huge step forward but a step
60:44forward you know could Marvin Harrison Jr. be you know an 1100 yard guy with you know six to eight touchdowns I I
60:51think so I think so um I I like the at least I like the upside for Marvin Harrison Jr. everyone's off on him
61:00because he went fourth overall and it's been an absolute struggle um on the football field. And I think that's fair, but when I look at the, you know,
61:10offensive kind of like ecosystem there in Arizona, I'm I am more intrigued now that he could potentially have a full season of Jacobe Brassette. Yeah, I had
61:20a whole rant on this on my Yahoo show about the floor, you know, and this the quotes getting poorly aggregated that he
61:26said Devont like Mike uh Michael Thor said that Marvin Hash Jr. was in the Dvonte Adams role and Michael Wilson was
61:33going to be in the Pukanur role, which is quite literally not what he said, but he outlined how he was going to move all
61:38these guys around [laughter] uh and everything and sort of compared it to those two guys because one plays X and one plays Z. But it but he did
61:46discuss how everybody's going to kind of motion around and and all that and and get some layup routes which is going to
61:51be great for Harrison. I really like him in this system. I also really like Michael Wilson in this system who does
61:56go another round like a full round later which kind of to our Bears conversation.
62:00It's like well does that make sense?
62:01Should these guys actually be going in the same round? I think there's an argument there because the one of the the very accurate but funny retorts to
62:08the whole thing was like who's playing the Matthew Stafford role? Nobody.
62:12That's obviously going to be a problem for all these guys is just the quarterback play. I I think Brassette >> is good enough to get these guys to
62:19football and be good for fantasy, but is he going to be good for real life? No.
62:24And then when do we see, you know, Carson Beck and how excited are you about that?
62:29>> I don't know. I know Alfredo Brown super low on Beck, but I just have watched enough college football to say Beck it
62:36can play to a replacement level. Yeah.
62:40to a degree, you know, um I he's not going to be I mean, he has so much starting experience, man. He's seen some
62:47highlevel defenses. Carson Bet can play.
62:50I I don't know if he's he's not a top level dude, obviously, but I think if he was asked to be a backup and and fill in
62:57for Jacobe Brassette at times, I don't think the offense is going to crater.
63:01That would be my thought um on Beck. So, um anyways, okay. So, when we get down here now into the 80s, we've got Michael
63:09Wilson, Courtland Sutton, uh Chris Godwin at 87. Like I said, man, like the price differential and the price discrepancy between a Mecha Ibuka and
63:18Chris Godwin Jr. seems it just seems out of whack a little bit to me.
63:22>> I think it's fair. I I don't think you have to dislike Ibuka to like Godwin at 87th overall ADP. I do I I think you
63:32have to solve the Jaylen McMillan variable. like how good is and because I do kind of like I liked what I saw from
63:38him. Again, his profile will be up. I think he can be like a real he actually played more ex receiver than I ever
63:44thought possible last year in those brief four games and did pretty well to beat man coverage. So, uh that he could
63:51be a little bit like sacrificial in that for which would be good for Ibuka and for Godwin. So, like I do think ADP's
63:57got it right. But in a best format, I think McMillan would make sense as a late round pick. I don't even know like
64:02he's got to be going Yeah. like an 140 overall. I actually think that's a really good price on Jaylen McMillan and
64:08and I think he could be like a cheap guy to acquire in Dynasty right now. But overall, um yeah, I do think that
64:15Godwin's price there is is probably my favorite of these guys. Although I will say I do want to bring up like just
64:22because we're in this range of like the 80s, 90s, like the eighth round.
64:26I'm I don't know, James, you might have backed me into the corner into being like a Quinton Johnson guy this year.
64:32>> Yeah, I did. I have >> I think you did. I think you did, dude.
64:36>> Cuz I hate it, dude. Like, come on, man.
64:37>> I know. I think you you you honestly, if we're being honest, you gaslit me twice this week. You gaslit me into that Drake
64:44London rant. Uh and [laughter] then you you gaslit me into this Quinton Johnson take.
64:49>> Yeah.
64:49>> Because I just look at this like >> Quinton Johnson I I think uh look, and to be clear, I've never been a I was not
64:57a big Quinton Johnson guy in his first two years in the NFL. I was he was terrible, especially as a rookie. He
65:03like has one of the worst rookie seasons in reception perception history. But he has I don't think but he's not that
65:09player anymore. Like he's a solid I think starting receiver who can make some plays. I don't know that Trey Harris is going to push him. I don't I
65:18don't think Keenan Allen's coming back.
65:19So like he's going to be the starting outside receiver, a downfield guy in Justin Herbert and Mike McDaniels offense. Like I like the math kind of works there and
65:31I just don't think he's so bad anymore that he's you know like I think he got better last year. We talked about this
65:37in the season. He he got better last year as a player.
65:42>> Yes.
65:45>> Yes.
65:46>> I mean yes. But it's >> you just like don't want to admit it.
65:50>> I know. I know. No. Listen, we talked about this extensively during the year.
65:55You and I have had a lot of conversations in regards to QJ, man, but like I think last year was his absolute
66:03peak. Like I don't see a path where he gets better from last year. I I just think that first of all, kudos to John
66:11Harbaugh or Jim Harbaugh, man. Like he's just so god dang good at getting the most out of these guys and putting them
66:17in in positions to succeed. I I'm struggling to find a role where QJ is a regular contributor in this Mike McDaniel offense. I I really am like
66:27what's the role here, you know? Um he can't c he can't be a vertical guy cuz he can't catch footballs over his
66:33shoulder. Um you know, we now we have to like cater, you know, like shots to him in the short area, like quick slants
66:42where he can like run and go, maybe some drag routes where he can run and go.
66:46Yeah, I mean those are all over the Mike McDaniel. Like I honestly kind of think uh >> Yeah, but those are but see those are
66:54targets that go like again when we saw in Miami that went to like Tyreek Hill and and freaking Jaylen Wadd like that's
67:01Lad McConi and I don't know who else but like it might it's not QJ. We're doing the thing that I and I'm going to do the
67:08thing that I hate which is like this guy's role is this guy. Yeah. Yeah.
67:12Yeah. Exactly. It's not that. But but I do think to your point, if we're thinking about the two receiver set in
67:18Miami, and I think this will be a lot be a very two receiver heavy offense because they added a freaking fullback
67:24and two tight ends to the mix here. So they're going to be two receivers and like in those looks for Miami, Lad Maki,
67:31I think, will be where Tyreek Hill was, which was just the offball movement guy running these big breaking routes, get him in the slot sometimes, too. And I
67:38think he's going to smoke in that role.
67:41But so and that will that means that Quinton Johnson will have to play the Jaylen Wadd role of the outside on ball
67:47player which like to be fair he's not he's not great at that's not his optimal usage. He needs to move around more I I
67:55okay [laughter] that's so bad.
67:58>> It's not but but he's been already been that in the NFL. He's every year he's an outside on ball player. He just he but
68:05he's going to run more breaking routes as that player because that's what Jaylen Wadd did and fewer go routes which is what he did as Greg Roman's
68:11offense and you said last year was his peak. Okay. Where do you think I'm going to do this to you again just like we did
68:16with Quinton [laughter] Johnson. Where do you think Quinton Johnson ranked in half PPR points per game last year?
68:22>> Uh half PPR I'm going to say he finished as the wide receiver 28.
68:3025 >> and he's going off the board here in the 40s and I think the offense is going to be better this year and more
68:38concentrated.
68:39>> Yeah.
68:39>> Like you've really gas like I mean f you pal. You've really gaslit me into being like a Quinton Johnson.
68:44>> You're a QJ defender now all of a sudden. It's crazy.
68:47>> I'm QJ's lawyer. [laughter] >> What's going on? I don't know.
68:51>> He got better last year.
68:53>> I'm so hard on him. I'm so hard on him that that centrist Matt has to take the other side, bro. It's crazy. taking a
68:59hard stance. Yeah, I've [laughter] been gas lit into this.
69:03>> This is so great, dude. I love it, man.
69:05Anyways, hey, listen. I wish we got further along here, but uh but we did not. Uh Matt needs to go pack and I need
69:11to go see my kids.
69:12>> So, let me just give my two picks just so we could say we get to double digits.
69:17Even 10 number round nine, very obviously it's Josh Downs is my favorite pick there. Obviously, 106th overall, the Ricky Pierol is enticing as a round
69:25nine pick. uh was I just finished up his profile. Really good. Please, please, please, please give this guy more short routes and routes off the [laughter]
69:34ball this year. And then round 10, honestly, jeez, round 10's like Xavier Worthy, Matthew Golden, Romeo Dobs. Honestly, like not that great of a receiver round.
69:45So, I'll just go Jaylen Coker round 11.
69:47You take him in round 10 instead.
69:49Although, I think Matthew I do think Matthew Golden is is totally is acceptable in round 10. I'm just not like running to the mat to to push the
69:56button.
69:57>> Yeah. Um I we talked I talked about Rasheed Shahed in our deep sleeper segment I believe or maybe maybe it was
70:04I don't know where I talked you liked.
70:07Yeah.
70:07>> Oh yeah. Okay. Yeah. Sure. But uh he's going around pick 150s. Go give me Rashid Shahed in that price range there
70:13too. Um a lot of interesting wide receivers by the way outside of the top 150 like Omar Cooper Jr.'s in here.
70:19Travis Hunter like I don't know what he ends up doing but he's in this mix too.
70:23Um, you know, we to we talked about um Denzel Boston is in here. I don't know, man. There there's some interesting
70:29names for sure. Uh, but we talked about three deep sleepers we liked. If you guys want to go check out that uh on the
70:35channel there as well. Anyways, uh, we got to go. I can't believe we talked about QJ again. Matt, why are we talking
70:43about >> I think that's like as [laughter] close as we get to fighting me and you.
70:48>> Dude, what's going on, bro?
70:49>> We're we're we're we're business partners. You think usually that's like a, you know, a combative, not com like a good kind of combative rel.
70:56>> Yeah, sure. Obviously, >> but the probably the most we've ever fought about was was Quinton [laughter] Johnson just >> we've we've run a we've run a business
71:05together for like what almost five years.
71:08>> Almost five years now. Yeah.
71:09>> Which is crazy. I think it has been five years. We since we launched the site in March 21. So, it's been five years. Our
71:15most uh intense and heated conversation was about Quinton Johnson [laughter] in 2026 best baseball. There we go. This is fantastic. Anyways, hey, we
71:26appreciate everyone jumping on the on the stream, man. Like uh for everyone who who who commented too. Like you guys are fun, man. You guys made this stream
71:33a lot more fun um than I thought it was going to be. This is great, man. Um we're the podcast will still be going
71:38on. If you guys haven't subscribed there, uh please do uh please do so.
71:42Matt's going on vacation. You guys aren't going to see him for golly a full week, man.
71:47>> More than I mean, it's going to be more than that, pal. We'll we'll figure out when I'm not the next two weeks, I'm not
71:52going to be on the show. So, you you figure that you do whatever you want. I don't know. But then I'll be back.
71:56>> I'll be back.
71:57>> Then he'll be back. Then I'll be gone.
71:59So, I don't know. This is all crazy stuff. Anyways, um okay. Listen, again, we appreciate you guys out there, man.
72:04Go check out the website, receptionperception.com.
72:06Obviously, a lot of profiles here for at the wide receiver position. Um, I believe next week Alfredo Brown's going to drop uh all of his profiles on all
72:15the year two guys, right? So, you're gonna see Jackson Dar Sanders, all those dudes. So, and he's been he's been in
72:22the lab, man. Let me tell you, he has been in the lab grinding that tape. Uh, he's got some really really interesting
72:26thoughts uh on those quarterbacks. And I believe after that, then that's when I will jump in and give you some uh
72:34profiles on all the year 2 running backs. So, you're going to see some stuff on Ashen Genty and and all the
72:39other guys like R.J. Harvey there in Denver. So, um that quarterback or that running back charting is being done right now, right now. And uh and man,
72:47I'm really excited to share some of that info, too. So, um anyways, if you guys have not, be a pal, like and subscribe
72:55to the channel, and uh and we will definitely definitely definitely have another baseball.
73:01>> Um hopefully we can draft a team. And I think the closer we actually get to >> uh closer, >> we'll be better prepared next time. But
73:10yeah, you guys can draft right now. Art code RPM Matt link in the description.
73:14Check it out. Uh so yeah, you can let DraftKings know that we sent you and you can draft Quinton Johnston and and win
73:19the million. [laughter] >> Win a million bucks, dude. Off of the back of QJ. There it is. [gasps] All right, guys. We'll see you guys. We
73:26appreciate you. We'll see you next time.
73:27All right. Peace.
