PositiveProjectionJul 21, 2026
Brown was half-PPR's WR15 on WR17 usage in 2025 when the Eagles bottomed out (23rd in passing yards, 22nd in passing success rate, 19th in points per game). He had career lows in yards per target (8.5) and success rate (50%) while playing in a static X position in a predictable offense. The source is optimistic for 2026 because Brown should be energized to play with MVP runner-up quarterback Drake Maye and his old coach Josh McDaniels. McDaniels had wild seasons with Davante Adams on the Raiders (180-100-1516-14 and 175-103-1144-8) and Maye last year. The Patriots averaged 42 more pass yards per game than the Eagles; Maye was first in completion percentage over expected while Hurts was 10th, and Maye's catchable ball rate on 10+ air yard passes was 10% better than Hurts'. Brown competes with Romeo Doubs for targets instead of DeVonta Smith. Brown broke about two-thirds of the tackles he usually does, though his route types were nearly identical to career rates. An offense calling for fewer hitches and more crossers and gos would help, and Brown could be more energized. He had a training camp hamstring injury that made him look lethargic in September but is healthy now. There are reports of long-term knee issues, but his elite athleticism has room to fall and he's only 28. Brown could match the CeeDee Lamb to Nico Collins tier if things go well, positioning him as an upside low-end WR1 and easy target near the Round 2-3 border.
