Zay Jones signed with the Cardinals after working out for the team. Jones previously played for Arizona during 2024-2025, appearing in 19 games with two starts and posting 20 receptions for 267 yards on 29 targets with a 13.4-yard-per-catch average and 55 YAC. He tore his Achilles in Week 10 against Seattle and was placed on season-ending IR, then signed a one-year deal with Houston during free agency but was released on final cutdown. His re-signing addresses Arizona's receiver depth following Marv Harrison's trade and Jalen Brooks' injury requiring surgery and IR placement.

Zay Jones was signed by the Cardinals after a workout, marking his return to Arizona following his 2025 season departure. Jones played 19 games (two starts) for the Cardinals in 2024–2025 with 29 targets, 20 receptions, 267 yards, 12 first downs, 13.4 yards per catch, and 55 YAC; he tore his Achilles in Week 10 against Seattle and was placed on season-ending IR. After Arizona did not re-sign him, he signed with Houston in free agency, had a good training camp, but was released on final cutdown. He is a second-round pick from Buffalo (2017) and this is his sixth NFL stop.

Zay Jones signed with the Cardinals after trying out on Tuesday; the source reports it is unclear whether he joined the practice squad or active roster. The signing comes after the Cardinals placed wide receiver Jalen Brooks on season-ending injured reserve and follows the team's trade of Marvin Harrison Jr. on Oct. 11, leaving the Cardinals thin at the position. Jones, 31, has played nine NFL seasons including a previous stint with the Cardinals where he appeared in 11 games in 2024 and eight games in 2023, accumulating 20 receptions for 267 yards with the team.

Viewed as depth piece with minimal fantasy relevance. Career peaked with 3 TDs and 109 yards vs Dallas in 2022; zero 100-yard games and only two TDs since. Previously ran sacrificial X routes for Jaguars in 2022 (helped Christian Kirk have career year). Likely replacing Jalen Brooks as depth WR. Expected to get ~1 target per game based on historical Cardinals usage. One commenter noted he did similar role for Jags in 2022 with positive results for Kirk.

Baun's clearance decides Trotter's value. Week 5 is against the Jaguars in London, who run a lot (49% designed run rate, 3rd) but not often (56.2 plays per game, 30th). Week 6 at home against the Panthers is better than the season number suggests: Carolina runs 67.0 plays per game (4th), and its linebacker tackles allowed have climbed every week (10, 13, 17, 24). Week 7 at home against the Cowboys on Monday brings volume (72.0 plays per game over the last two weeks) but a poor tackle matchup: Dallas allows 13.5 per game to linebackers (31st).

#Ravens WR Zay Flowers, who left Sunday’s win over the #Colts early, suffered a hamstring injury that is not considered serious, sources say. He’ll have an MRI, but if it was a playoff game, he likely would’ve returned. Flowers is considered day-to-day heading into testing. [Retweeted](
