STACKED’s take

NeutralRole

Donaldson earns Saints' third-down role over Etienne in Week 1.

Donaldson received significant third-down work for the Saints in Week 1, a role typically reserved for pass-catching specialists. This marks a clear preference by the Saints coaching staff to bench Etienne on third down, continuing a pattern from Jacksonville's previous regime.
