Washington wasn't all that effective Sunday with his extra workload (25 carries for 83 yards), but there's no questioning the rookie's explosiveness and there's absolutely room for Las Vegas' running game to rely on that capability more. Washington played 38 snaps to Jeanty's 22, which were mostly on passing downs. Washington's 25 carries is an eye-opening number that effectively justifies him being a premier waiver-wire pickup.

Positive signalUsage

Washington's 25 carries and 38 snaps signal premier waiver-wire pickup status.

Washington played 38 snaps to Ashton Jeanty's 22 (mostly on passing downs) with 25 carries for 83 yards Sunday; rookie's explosiveness is evident despite modest efficiency; 25-carry workload is eye-opening and justifies premier waiver-wire pickup status; source expresses surprise if NFL team maintains such obvious run/pass tell, though precedent exists with Klint Kubiak's Seahawks.
