Chris Brooks is competing with MarShawn Lloyd to back up Josh Jacobs in Green Bay, but his role is mostly a nod to his reliability on passing downs and blitz pickup. If Brooks is on the field the passing game can function as it normally would, but the run game probably cannot function as it normally would. Brooks is not conventionally threatening from scrimmage, making him an unreliable option if Jacobs misses time.
