Mendoza adjusting to under-center system; Kubiak expects rookie ups and downs.

Mendoza comes from Indiana's pro-style offense and faces a significant transition to the under-center operation that head coach Klint Kubiak runs to create play-action success; while his processing skills and ability to learn help, he is experiencing the missteps all rookie quarterbacks go through, with Kubiak noting there will be ups and downs across 60 to 80 plays in a game and that he does not expect perfection right now.
