Goff's 2025 MVP-caliber season saw stats decline from 2024 despite elite coaching praise.

Goff's 2025 season was MVP-caliber with 68% completion, 4,564 passing yards, 34 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions, though all stats declined from his 2024 results under Ben Johnson's offensive coordination; Detroit's offense scored five fewer points per game in 2025. New OC Drew Petzing praised Goff's understanding of the game and ability to throw receivers open, and the coaching staff views him as an elite quarterback surrounded by top-tier talent.
