Williams's 8 scrambles on 39 dropbacks may explain pass-catcher target disappointment.
Caleb Williams scrambled eight times on 39 dropbacks. He always scrambles a lot, and in this game it may help explain some of the target-rate disappointment for pass catchers. He got stuffed on a 4th-and-1 sneak attempt deep in his own territory in the first half and later got stuffed on a sneak at the goal line before throwing a TD to Jahdae Walker. The sneaks are good for his fantasy value, as is Ben Johnson's aggressive approach on fourth down, but it won't last if it doesn't work, and Williams doesn't have the Hurts/Allen advantage on sneaks.
