Goddert rose 1.4–1.5 spots to 123 overall. Adam Levitan identifies three market mistakes: (1) ignoring Goddert's splits when AJ Brown is off the field—2.85 yards per route run and 27% targets per route run, both of which would have ranked second among tight ends last year; (2) bias against the Eagles offense based on Kevin Petulo's poor play last year and AJ Brown dysfunction; (3) misunderstanding the Eli Stowers situation—while Stowers is an awesome pass catcher listed as tight end, he is nowhere near ready to play in line at the NFL level and will be a situational wide receiver in year one, not impacting Goddert's role. Levitan views Devonta Smith–Jalen Hurts–Goddert stacks as really solid at cost, and even just Hurts–Goddert as something you can do really cheaply.
