Aaron Rodgers

NegativeProjection0:18

Rodgers finished as QB 25 in points per game last year and led the league in targeting running backs due to quick release times, suggesting limited ceiling with the Steelers.

Insight page

Ashton Jeanty

PositiveProjection0:12

Jeanty is expected to be a focal point of the Raiders offense under Clint Kubiak and should see more rushing touchdowns this year after 80% of Raiders touchdowns came through the air last year.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

PositiveProjection0:12

Bowers is expected to be a focal point of the Raiders offense under Clint Kubiak, who has a history of maximizing his best players and getting them the ball frequently.

Insight page

Calvin Ridley

NegativeRole0:20

Ridley's playing time may be cut into by Brian Dable's tendency to bring in his preferred players from previous teams, particularly tight ends like Daniel Bellinger.

Insight page

Cam Ward

PositiveProjection0:21

Ward's success with the Titans under Brian Dable depends on his improvement in year two, as the team added talent around him but the quarterback development is key.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

PositiveProjection0:21

Tate was the number four overall pick and could be undervalued; Brian Dable is not afraid to funnel targets to an alpha receiver, as he did with Malik Nabors as a rookie.

Insight page

Dallas Goedert

PositiveProjection0:09

Goddert is one of the bigger winners from the coaching change and should see elevated opportunity with the new offensive scheme; he has posted close to top-five tight end numbers when A.J. Brown is absent.

Insight page

Daniel Bellinger

NegativeRole0:20

Bellinger was brought over from the Giants by Brian Dable and may cut into playing time for Gunnar Helm, reflecting Dable's tendency to favor his former players.

Insight page

Darnell Washington

PositiveRole0:17

Washington received money from the Steelers but will split time with Pat Frymuth in a three-wide receiver offensive scheme under Mike McCarthy.

Insight page

DeVonta Smith

PositiveProjection0:09

Smith should benefit from the coaching change as Devonta Smith has succeeded in the Eagles offense when A.J. Brown is absent, and the new scheme should elevate all receivers.

Insight page

DK Metcalf

PositiveRole0:17

Metcalf is being brought back by the Steelers and will be part of a three-wide receiver offensive scheme under Mike McCarthy.

Insight page

Eli Stowers

PositiveDepth Chart0:10

Stowers may not open the season active and is unlikely to be the Eagles' number two tight end, potentially opening the season as their number three.

Insight page

Gunnar Helm

NegativeRole0:20

Helm may lose playing time to Daniel Bellinger, who Brian Dable brought over from the Giants, reflecting Dable's pattern of favoring his former players.

Insight page

Jalen Hurts

PositiveProjection0:09

Hurts is mispriced at around 80 overall on DraftKings and could run for 15 touchdowns with Sean Mannion as the new offensive coordinator, who should restore designed runs that Petulo had minimized.

Insight page

Jalen Nailor

PositiveRole0:14

Naylor received $35 million ($18 million guaranteed) in free agency and should have a significant role under Clint Kubiak if he can play, though there is uncertainty about his ability.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

PositiveProjection0:19

Warren is expected to catch 50-plus passes this year with Aaron Rodgers, who has a history of heavily targeting running backs.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

PositiveProjection0:02

With Mike McDaniel as the new offensive coordinator, Herbert is expected to have a massive season above ADP, benefiting from McDaniel's talent-maximizing scheme and high-percentage play calling.

Insight page

Keaton Mitchell

PositiveRole0:03

Mitchell is expected to benefit from Mike McDaniel's offense as a change-of-pace back in a similar role to Raheem Mostert, though Mostert's 18-touchdown season was an outlier.

Insight page

Kenneth Gainwell

PositiveProjection0:18

Gainwell had a breakout year partly due to Aaron Rodgers' tendency to target running backs frequently, and this pattern should continue with the Steelers.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

PositiveUsage0:22

Nabors had an insane amount of targets as a rookie under Brian Dable, demonstrating Dable's willingness to funnel targets to an alpha receiver.

Insight page

Michael Mayer

PositiveProjection0:15

Mayer is a player to monitor as the Raiders' second-best pass catcher behind Brock Bowers and should stay on the field in two tight end sets under Clint Kubiak's scheme.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

NegativeProjection0:08

Barkley had a letdown season under Kevin Petulo despite 1,400 rushing yards, becoming significantly less explosive than the prior year due to poor offensive scheme utilization.

0:00Hello and welcome to Episode 991 of the official Establish The Run podcast.
0:04My name is Adam Levitan. I am one of the co-founders here at ETR, as always joined by fellow co-founder Evan Silva.
0:12And it is time for one of our most impactful topics of the offseason, coaching changes.
0:17To discuss this, we are joined by our own season long bro, John Daigle.
0:22How's it going today? For those watching video, to be clear, since you and Silva already messed it up in the background
0:29chatter, this is a Johnny Manziel jersey, the one true Browns quarterback.
0:33Get it right. Okay. Johnny Manziel jersey for Daigle today.
0:37Silva, how's it going? It's going great. Nice Deshaun Watson jersey, Daigle.
0:41It looks good on you. On today's show, we are going to discuss the impact of 2026 NFL coaching changes.
0:47This season, we are expecting roughly 19 new play callers in the NFL.
0:52That has to be some kind of record. And it's important because unlike other sports such as NBA or baseball, coaching in
0:59the NFL really does have an outsized impact on player performance.
1:03Schemes matter more. Play calling matters more. Coaches just have a more direct influence on who gets the ball and where.
1:10And so figuring out what all 19 of these coaching changes mean, I think is a very important piece of the puzzle.
1:17Before we get into it here today, reminder, our NFL early bird bundle product is now live.
1:23Combines draft kit pro, AKA Silva's top 150, all our ETR ranks, tons more combines that with our in-season product, AKA all
1:30our projections, premium shows, Silva's matchups, tons more for details on that early bird bundle.
1:35Head to the subscribe tab on establish the run.com.
1:38All right. Let's get into it here. We're going to go from one to 19 in order of what I thought was most interesting to least interesting.
1:47So we'll start here with number one. Most interesting to me is the chargers.
1:52Mike McDaniel is in new offensive coordinator and play caller replaces Greg Roman.
1:56This is just such a drastic change. Not that Mike McDaniel doesn't run the ball because he very much does.
2:03But Greg Roman is like old school football boomer who choose glass.
2:07And McDaniel is the young bro with the Lululemon joggers and the Johnny versus sunglasses.
2:12So just going from an old school style to a modern, advanced, creative, talent maximizing offense is going to be a big change for the chargers.
2:21Evan, what do you think about Mike McDaniel here taking over the reins of Justin Herbert?
2:26And also one thing that Brandon Thorne has harped on is how good Mike McDaniel is at maximizing the offensive line that he deals with.
2:34Like I was talking with Brandon recently and he thought, you remember the protector of the year award that was new to
2:42the NFL, especially Joe Tooney wound up winning it.
2:45Brandon Thorne actually thought that Aaron Brewer, the Dolphins undersized center who was originally undrafted should have actually been the protector of
2:52the year in large part because of the way that Mike McDaniel utilized him.
2:57Obviously, we know that Rashaun Slater and Joe Alt are coming back for the chargers, but the interior of their offensive line
3:04is going to get a whole lot better. Schematically, they're going to be so much better with Mike McDaniel as the OC.
3:12So excited for Justin Herbert this year, high percentage stuff, getting the balls in the hand, getting the ball in the hands
3:19of playmakers who can do stuff with it after the catch.
3:23Lad McConkie is an ideal Mike McDaniel style of wide receiver.
3:26So those are the guys that I'm in particular excited and Keaton Mitchell.
3:31I mean, also, and I think that Omar and Hampton could wind up scoring a bunch of touchdowns.
3:37I just I think this offense is a chance to be prolific with Mike McDaniel at the helm, Rashaun Slater and Joe all back.
3:45Yeah. And when I think of yards after catch, I mean, Quinton Johnston in college was good yards after catch.
3:52He has not shown that as much in the NFL.
3:55I think Mike McDaniel gives him a chance to do that as well.
3:59I'll talk about the prices on these guys in a second here, Daigle, but thoughts on Mike McDaniel taking over the chargers.
4:07Zooming out really quickly for everyone. What this annual episode and really fantasy football during the offseason has become is targeting the Gary Kubiak, Mike Shanahan coaching trees.
4:16And the league has averaged seven yards per attempt, for example, over the last decade.
4:21That's really the bar we're we're going for here.
4:24And until last year, when Brock Purdy was injured, Kyle Shanahan had produced a quarterback who averaged at least eight yards per throw since 2015 with Matt Ryan.
4:33Mike McDaniel left Shanahan to join the Dolphins in 2022.
4:37And you wouldn't think so with all the up and downs Tua has had in that time, but only in the last
4:44four years have the Niners, Ravens, Lions and Bills averaged more yards for play than that Dolphins offense.
4:50Even Tua has been eighth in yards per attempt since 2022 and led the league in multiple categories as an MVP candidate,
4:58actually a few years ago as well. So this is the tree that now gets to work with Justin Herbert.
5:04It's as you mentioned, Adam Quentin Johnston going a little bit later in drafts right now, but he was more like Brandon
5:12Ayuk and failed as a rookie because they instead tried to use him as Chase Claypool.
5:17But all of these guys are athletes who are incredible after the catch.
5:21So I expect Justin Herbert coming off a career year and rushing points per game to have a massive season above ADP.
5:29Yeah, and I mean, if Tua took a by low and never had all the concussion and injury issues, maybe it runs out differently for Mike McDaniel.
5:38I mean, you remember back in 2023, Tua threw for 4,600 yards and 29 touchdowns.
5:43That was in the same year where Raheem Mostert goes over 1,000 yards and 18 touchdowns, 8-chan smashed that year as well.
5:50So it's hard to see it sometimes when you have all the injuries that Tua had.
5:55You lose your starting quarterback. It's going to be hard to be productive.
6:00I thought Mike McDaniel did a really good job keeping it together for the most part.
6:05Last thing I'd say on this, I mentioned that 2023 season.
6:09Mostert and 8-chan both had really productive fantasy seasons.
6:12Obviously, that was the outlier year where Mostert ran for 18 touchdowns.
6:16But I kind of think of Hampton and Keaton similarly.
6:19Now, I do think Amaran Hampton is a way better player than Raheem Mostert.
6:24And 8-chan is a way better player than Keaton Mitchell.
6:27But that same kind of fire and ice kind of change of pace back that's really, really good like Keaton Mitchell is.
6:35So I like a lot of these guys. The problem to me is Hampton's ADP on DraftKings right now, 16 overall.
6:42McConkie, 34 overall. Herbert, 81. Quinton Johnston, 76. Those top four guys are very, very, very expensive.
6:47So the market is also buying in here on Mike McDaniel.
6:51And I think that they should. So I'm still in on Chargers stuff.
6:55It's just market is as well. They're certainly expensive.
6:58All right. Let's get to number two here. Eagles make a necessary move.
7:03Sean Mannion is in as their offensive coordinator and play caller.
7:07Obviously, Kevin Petulo is out. This one to me isn't about Mannion specifically, Evan.
7:11Like Mannion literally just finished playing. He was the quarterback of the Vikings and like and the Seahawks in 2023.
7:18Mannion has been coaching the Packers for the last two seasons.
7:22Like, well, we don't really know about him as a coach, but we do know that Kevin Petulo is gone.
7:28And I do think he was a big part of the 2025 problem.
7:33So Silva, what do you think about Sean Mannion here with the Eagles?
7:37Yeah, we don't have a whole lot to say about Sean Mannion.
7:41I mean, he spent 2024 as a general offensive assistant with the Packers and then 2025 as the Packers quarterbacks coach.
7:48So he's really only got one year under his belt as a big time assistant at all in the NFL.
7:55And that was not as a coordinator. Obviously, he's not called plays.
7:59He's going to call plays in Philadelphia. It's just you're hoping that the Kevin Petulo is addition by subtraction and that, you
8:06know, it can only get better from there. Yeah.
8:09I mean, the Petulo thing, Daigle, was so many hitch routes, not using pass catchers horizontally.
8:15And, you know, Jeff Stoutland is one of the most respected assistant coaches in the game, former Eagles offensive line coach.
8:22He had some comments on his way out that kind of threw the Petulo scheme under the bus, which I thought was telling.
8:29So, you know, addition by subtraction to me is like a huge thing here.
8:34Daigle, any thoughts on Eagles with Mannion? One of the worst things you can do as a play caller is not understand
8:41the talent you have and put them in the wrong positions.
8:45And that's pretty much what Petulo did across the board.
8:48Let down season for Saquon Barkley. It's 1,400 yards in the box score.
8:53I know, but just a significantly less explosive player than he showed the year prior.
8:58And really, it revolved around Jalen Hurts engineering the offense, a career low scramble rate, the fewest design runs per game.
9:05And PFF has charted him with for his career as well.
9:08I think we get those numbers back up, which naturally then elevates everyone in the offense, even without A.J.
9:15Brown, because we have seen Devonta Smith, Dallas Goddard both succeed.
9:19So I think Dallas Goddard outside of Hurts and Barkley here is one of the bigger winners because he is going to
9:26get drafted as a tight end too. When really off the field for his career without A.J.
9:32Brown, when it's just been Goddard and Devonta Smith, Goddard's the one who's put up close to top five tight end numbers.
9:39So I really like his opportunity this year. Yeah, and one of the things about Jalen Hurts and Dago alluded to the
9:46designed runs, the rumors in Philly were that Jalen Hurts told Petulo, told the coaches, I don't want to run as much.
9:54I don't want as many designed runs. Listen, man, I don't care.
9:58You want to stay in the NFL as a starting quarterback?
10:01You want to win Super Bowls? You have to run.
10:05And I think that Sean, I think slash hope Mannion is going to get in here and tell them that.
10:11So I personally think it's hard to get there on math, but I personally think Jalen Hurts is one of the more mispriced quarterbacks right now.
10:20He goes closer to 80 overall on DraftKings and he could run for 15 touchdowns.
10:25It's not that crazy. He does it almost every season except for this past one.
10:30So, you know, I still really like Jalen Hurts.
10:33On the Goddard thing, yeah, I think that makes sense.
10:37I think people are a little scared by Eli Stowers.
10:40To be clear, Stowers does not play the same position right now as Dallas Goddard.
10:45They're going to use Eli Stowers, I think, as basically a wide receiver.
10:49Yeah, I'm not entirely sold that Eli Stowers is going to open the season like active for games.
10:55I mean, I don't even know that he's going to be the Eagles' number two tight end.
11:01I think he'll probably open the season as their number three.
11:05Yeah. Last thing on Hurts, he was still seventh in fantasy points per game at quarterback last year.
11:11Even with the debacle, Petulo, everybody's yelling at each other.
11:14A.J. Brown's whining. It's a disaster. He still finished seventh in fantasy quarterback points per game, did Jalen Hurts.
11:20All right. So, the coaching change number three here.
11:23Las Vegas Raiders bring in Klink Kubiak, replacing the Pete Carroll, Chip Kelly regime.
11:28So, one of the ways that we were able to get on JSN in a big way last year was just blind betting on Klink Kubiak.
11:37Remember, the Seahawks had the biggest dolt in the game, Shane Waldron, in JSN's rookie year.
11:42Then they had Ryan Grubb. They bring in Klink Kubiak, and he massively unlocks JSN.
11:47We also had that beginning of that year in New Orleans, Silva, with the Saints, where I thought Kubiak did a really good job.
11:55Had them humming before the injuries hit. So, I think everyone's excited about this one.
12:00It's just a question of how much can we get excited about the Raiders.
12:05Evan, what do you think about Klink Kubiak here in Las Vegas?
12:09Yeah. And the year before he had the Saints, he was the Saints offensive coordinator.
12:14He was the passing game coordinator for the 49ers under Kyle Shanahan.
12:18I mean, the Kubiak Shanahan tree goes way back.
12:21Klink Kubiak is obviously the son of Gary Kubiak.
12:24So, he's got that all in his blood. That year that he was the 49ers passing game coordinator, Sam Darnold was the 49ers backup quarterback.
12:33They linked up there. They get back together in Seattle, and Sam Darnold, you know, they go and win a Super Bowl.
12:40So, really impressive track record of maximizing, you know, getting the ball in the hands of his best players.
12:46That's something that Kyle Shanahan has been so great at doing.
12:50You know, just smashing the button on getting the ball to Julio Jones.
12:54Smashing the button to getting the ball to Christian McCaffrey.
12:58You know, that's going to be the name in the game, I think, for Brock Bowers this year with the Raiders and Ashton Gentey.
13:06They're going to be the fulcrum of the Raiders offense.
13:09Clint Kubiak is going to smash the button, getting the ball to Brock Bowers and Ashton Gentey.
13:15Yeah, and so he's going to have Kirk Cousins likely to start the year, and I think Mendoza in relatively soon, no matter what they say.
13:23We have two Raiders going very high here, Daigle, Gentey, and Bowers.
13:27We're at 15 overall on Gentey, 18 overall on Bowers.
13:31After that, though, the rest of the Raiders are basically free.
13:35Daigle, any thoughts on Raiders stuff with Clint Kubiak?
13:38Rams and Seahawks last year were the only offenses that operated for under center on over half their plays, which likely entails
13:45a learning curve for Mendoza since he took literally five snaps from under center throughout his collegiate career.
13:51But it's as Silva alluded to, Sam Donald's coming off a career high in yards per attempt with Kubiak, and Mendoza at
13:58least has that prototypical NFL size we like, 6'5", 236 pounds.
14:02Also, the first quarterback taken in every class since 2017 has made at least 10 starts.
14:07The draft capital kind of dictates that. So I believe in the second half of the year we will see Mendoza, and
14:15it's just a situation where I'm closing my eyes, holding my nose, and betting on Kubiak for sure, especially given the positive
14:22regression we should expect from this offense. Last year, 80% of their touchdowns, a league-high number, came through the air.
14:29Expecting more rushing touchdowns this year, naturally, for Ashton Gentey, who was a very good player.
14:34It just didn't look great because his offensive line failed him in so many ways.
14:39Yeah. That's why it's going to be massive for the Raiders getting back Colton Miller, one of the best left tackles in the league, and adding Tyler Linderbaum.
14:49Downboard on the Raiders, I don't know if you guys have seen these quote-unquote headlines.
14:54It's like, Jalen Naylor is Clint Kubiak's new Jackson Smith and Jigba.
14:58Obviously, that's laughable. But I will say that they went out in free agency and gave Jalen Naylor $35 million, $18 million guaranteed.
15:05There's not a lot of competition here. I'm not sure Jalen Naylor can play, but if he can, he's going to have a really big role here.
15:14And again, I do think Clint Kubiak will be a talent maximizer.
15:18So I'm okay with Naylor here where he goes, which is like around the 150s.
15:23Yeah, we're at 160 overall here on Jalen Naylor.
15:26Michael Mayer also is a player to keep in mind.
15:30Right. Because of Clint Kubiak's history of just making sure that the best players are on the field and getting the ball.
15:37And I think you can make a case that Michael Mayer is the Raiders' second best pass catcher behind Brock Bowers.
15:44Even the Seahawks last year had the second highest drop back rate from two tight end sets.
15:50He's going to stay on the field and has that elite contingency value too behind Bowers.
15:55Yep. All right. Number four, let's go to the Steelers.
15:59End of an era. As Mike Tomlin is gone, Mike McCarthy is in as the Steelers' new head coach and play caller.
16:06Of course, Arthur Smith called plays and was the offensive coordinator for the Steelers last year.
16:11You know, I'm not going to make this about Tomlin.
16:15He was not hands-on on the offensive play calling or scheming, I do not think.
16:20So you guys know how I feel about Arthur Smith.
16:23Yes, Arthur Smith's tight end obsession is becoming en vogue in the NFL now.
16:28But he was simply unable to identify his best talents and use them to the best of their ability.
16:34So I have mixed feelings on Mike McCarthy generally.
16:37But just getting rid of Arthur Smith to me is a positive here.
16:41Silva, what do you think about Mike McCarthy taking over the Steelers?
16:45I think we're going to see the Steelers go really heavy on three wide receiver sets.
16:51That's how the Packers operated with Aaron Rodgers back when Mike McCarthy was the Packers head coach.
16:57And what we saw in the draft was the Steelers, they were going to draft Makai Lemon.
17:02They got jumped by the Eagles. They were locked into adding a slot receiver and they wound up drafting Jeremy Bernard in the second round.
17:11They traded for Michael Pittman. They're bringing back D.K.
17:14Metcalf. I know that they gave money to Darnell Washington.
17:17Honestly, it wasn't that much money. And I think that he's going to end up just splitting time with Pat Frymuth.
17:24This is going to be a three receiver offense, a ton of shotgun.
17:28That's what Aaron Rodgers wants. And Aaron Rodgers gets what he wants.
17:32Yeah. I think that we're going to see Frymuth and Darnell Washington on the field together some.
17:38But I agree with Silva that as a lot of these other teams are going to more and more to tight end, we'll see more three wide receivers.
17:47And that's why we've been ahead of market on Jeremy Bernard here at the beginning of the process.
17:53Daigle, thoughts on Mike McCarthy here with the Steelers?
17:57It's going to be a different conversation in season-long football leagues because I'm not sure what their ceiling entails after Aaron Rodgers
18:04just finished as the QB 25 in points per game, led the league in targeting his running backs, not just because Kenneth
18:11Gainwell had a breakout year, but he was very clearly getting rid of the ball at the quickest time for snap to
18:19throw because he was terrified to take a hit at his age.
18:23And so then what happens is his offense, if he's getting rid of the ball quickly, I don't know.
18:29But the point is and why I believe our projections are ahead of this and best ball is because we believe they
18:36can produce usable scores across the board, given Mike McCarthy's pace.
18:40Because that Cowboys offense did finish top eight in place per game in all five seasons he coached in Dallas.
18:47So I think that's what we bet we're getting, just volume right now more than the market suggests we will.
18:53Yeah, and I talked about that on Market Monday with the running back target rate that Aaron Rodgers has had.
19:00This is not a new thing either. He loves to target running backs and has always been a fantasy-friendly quarterback to the running back position.
19:09Yeah, Jalen Warren is catching 50-plus balls this year, no problem.
19:12All right. Let's go to number five, Titans clean house.
19:16Robert Saleh is the new head coach. Brian Dable is the offensive coordinator and play caller replacing the Brian Callahan regime.
19:23You know, my thought on Dable is maybe he's just one of those cases where he's a better offensive coordinator than head coach.
19:30Like, I thought Dable did a pretty good job in Buffalo as the offensive coordinator.
19:35He's been the offensive coordinator for Cleveland, Miami, Kansas City as well.
19:39I didn't think he did that great a job with the Giants as their head coach.
19:45Maybe it's getting him back to, like, his natural best ability here.
19:49Office coordinator and play caller. So what do you think about Dable here on the sticks for Cam Ward?
19:55Yeah, I thought a lot of Brian Dable when he was the Bills, when he was running the Bills.
20:01But, you know, I also kind of wonder, you know, just how much is that just Josh Allen being, you know, being
20:09a beast and making Brian Dable look good? Because Brian Dable didn't make himself look good very much with the Giants.
20:16You know, does Brian Dable get all the credit for Josh Allen making massive improvements in his game during his time in Buffalo?
20:24Does, you know, does Brian Dable get all the credit for Stefan Diggs just going nuclear when he linked up with Josh Allen?
20:31I'm not sure. One thing that bothers me about Brian Dable, though, is this, like, tendency to, like, you know, grab his guys.
20:39You know, like, how much playing time is Gunnar Helm going to lose to Brian Dable's boy Daniel Bellinger, who he brought over from the Giants?
20:48You know, Wondell Robinson, giving Wondell Robinson a ton of money to come over from the Giants.
20:53You know, is he going to play over Shamir Dike, who I thought had an awesome rookie season?
20:59I mean, the answer is obviously yes. You know, is that going to cut into Calvin Ridley and, to a lesser extent, Carnell Tate?
21:07I mean, that's one thing that bothers me a lot about Brian Dable, his tendency to play favorites.
21:14Yep. I think that's totally fair. Dable, any thoughts on Dable with the Titans?
21:18I don't know how much credit to give him for developing Josh Allen, but I'm giving him most of the credit for
21:26dragging Daniel Jones to the playoffs by simply maximizing the strengths of the players he had at that time.
21:32And it's funny because the Titans tried to do this a couple years ago with Will Levis and crossing their fingers, adding
21:39an offensive line and playmakers around him and just hoping he got better.
21:44And that's kind of what the Titans are doing this year with Cam Ward and that they added Robinson, who Dable spanned with 140 targets in back-to-back years.
21:53And then, of course, the number four overall pick and Carnell Tate.
21:57And they're just hoping those box score numbers increase.
22:00So, I think they have better talent this year.
22:03But, again, it comes down to really Cam Ward improving in year two.
22:07Yeah. One thing I'll say is that Dable is not afraid to really funnel targets to an alpha.
22:13And he did it with a rookie wide receiver before.
22:17Malik Nabors had an insane amount of targets as a rookie under Dable.
22:21It's not crazy to think that we could be too low on Carnell Tate.
22:26I mean, just on draft capital alone, Mazda Marv, Marvin Harrison was like a one-two turn pick as a rookie with almost
22:33identical draft capital that Carnell Tate had. And you can get Carnell Tate now in the 60s, sometimes even the 70s.
22:40So, I've been going back and forth on the Carnell Tate thing.
22:44But if he's actually really good and actually deserved to go four overall, Dable will not be afraid to make him the alpha right away.
22:53Either way, this is a massive opportunity for Brian Dable under a defensive-minded head coach in Robert Sala inheriting Cam Ward, who
23:00was the number one pick in the draft. You know, he didn't have the greatest rookie season.
23:06You know, on a team that's been bad for a while, like if Brian Dable has a really good year as the
23:13Titans offensive coordinator this year, he's going to be a head coach in 2027.
23:18He'll be back. Let's go to number six here.
23:21Arizona Cardinals get rid of Jonathan Gannon, Drew Petsing, Mike LaFleur head coach, Nathaniel Hackett offensive coordinator.
23:27I still kind of think LaFleur is going to call plays here, not Hackett.
23:31And yes, this Mike LaFleur is the brother of Packers head coach Matt LaFleur.
23:36Mike has been the offensive coordinator of the Rams for the last three years.
23:41Obviously, learning under McVay, having some incredible success. The question is, Silva, can LaFleur replicate McVay?
23:46And can he do it with a far less talented team?
23:50So Silva, what do you think about the other LaFleur's chances here in Arizona?
23:54Well, he made a pretty uninspiring hire as his first offensive coordinator.
23:58I could tell you that. Nathaniel Kent Hackett, who, by the way, do you remember Nathaniel Hackett originally rose to prominence?
24:05Do you know what he did? No. He was the guy who said in Buffalo that the Bills were going to feed C.J.
24:13Spiller until he throws up. This was in 2013.
24:16Do you remember this? Oh, I remember. I drafted a lot of C.J.
24:20Spiller. I think everyone remembers that that was playing fantasy football at that time.
24:25Yes. But anyways, Nathaniel Hackett hasn't been successful anywhere that he's gone recently.
24:30Did you know that Nathaniel Hackett last year was on the Packers staff as a defensive analyst?
24:35And now he's the offensive coordinator for the Arizona Cardinals.
24:39I just think that the Arizona Cardinals are doomed and, you know, bad teams make bad decisions and bad teams hire Nathaniel Hackett as their offensive coordinator.
24:48The Hackett thing is definitely scary. It just shows like a lack of judgment if this was actually LaFleur's call, which I agree with.
24:56I do expect LaFleur to be the most hands-on on this offense, hopefully ahead of Hackett.
25:01The other thing about this Daigle is like they have some good players.
25:05I mean, Trey McBride, Jeremiah Love, in theory, Marvin Harrison, Michael Wilson.
25:09In theory, they have talent. What do you think about LaFleur in Arizona, Daigle?
25:14It's really tough for all of them. We've talked about on past shows how they're projected against one sharp's toughest schedule in the entire league.
25:22A lot of that is attributed to having the toughest division in the entire league too.
25:28But also, this is a team with Jacoby Brissett that relied on a league-high 40 pass attempts per game.
25:34That number, for reference, has only been reached 10 times in the last decade, which is a 3% outcome.
25:41And so if we're talking about Jacoby Brissett without volume, then what has everyone become in this offense?
25:47And it's just concerning given the lack of improvements they really had in the offseason as well.
25:52All right. Let's go to number seven here. Atlanta Falcons.
25:56Kevin Stefanski in as the head coach. Tommy Reese here as the offensive coordinator.
26:00I kind of think Reese is going to call plays, but I could be wrong.
26:05It could end up being Stefanski there. Of course, replacing Raheem Morris, Zach Robinson.
26:10In terms of Stefanski, Silva, I felt like it was kind of tough to see in Cleveland given the situation there for a lot of years.
26:19But I do think Stefanski is sharp. So maybe this will be an upgrade for Atlanta.
26:24Thoughts on Stefanski taking over here in Falcon land?
26:27I really don't have a strong opinion on this.
26:30And I think it's tough to formulate a strong opinion.
26:33We don't know what the quarterback, like who's going to start.
26:37I mean, I think it's going to be Tua that starts out of the gate.
26:42How long will he last? You know, I mean, the Falcons still have, you know, they've invested in Michael Penix.
26:49That's probably a sunk cost at this point. But I do think that he's likelier than not to make starts.
26:56I don't know when that's going to happen. I don't know.
26:59I'd like to hear what Daigle has to say on this.
27:03Go ahead, Daigle. Last year, you kind of throw it all out the window since they were lost under center.
27:10Cleveland was. But in the three seasons prior to that, Kevin Stefanski's offense did finish top six in place per game.
27:17If we're just strictly looking at pace and volume and trying to get these plays for these talented individuals.
27:23And I think the one player I believe is the biggest beneficiary.
27:27And I agree with Silva on this after the top 150 show is Kyle Pitts.
27:32Yeah. Yeah. A lot of people who are bearish on him this year will cite his splits with Drake London last season.
27:39And it's true. They were drastically different. He was a player.
27:43You legitimately didn't start when Drake London was on the field.
27:47But I want to zoom out and understand it's a different quarterback situation.
27:51It's a different offense altogether. And Kevin Stefanski's offense with the Browns finished top nine and tight in target rate and every season he coached them.
28:00It's just the style of player that they feature.
28:03And Kyle Pitts is arguably the best one he's going to ever had work with.
28:08So I do like Pitts for a bounce back year and both best ball and season long formats.
28:14Yeah. And you start drafting more Kyle Pitts, Adam.
28:17I think that's fair. You know, like Stefanski offenses have been very tight and friendly.
28:22By the way, as we're recording this, they just gave Kyle Pitts an extension.
28:27Massive. Oh, let's go. Here. Yes. How much? Internet.com.
28:30$54 million deal for Kyle Pitts. He's worth every penny.
28:33I'll say that. He's still only 19 years old.
28:36So if Stefanski is sharp and if they can get the quarterback situation handled and this offense is good, it's going to
28:43hit in a big way because it's so condensed.
28:46Bijan, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts are like the only guys that are going to make this hit.
28:53I don't have a lot of faith in Brian Robinson, Zachariah Branch, Johan Dotson, Zaccheus, etc.
28:58Like if they hit, it's going to be through those three guys.
29:02And so there's a lot of correlation there, I think.
29:05Again, I think that stuff is interesting in basketball.
29:08If Stefanski can get this thing really going. Eight is a very interesting one here, Evan.
29:14Baltimore Ravens go with Jesse Minter. Defensive minded Jesse Minter as their new head coach.
29:19Declan Doyle as their offensive coordinator and play caller.
29:22Of course, replacing John Harbaugh. Todd Monken. I mean, this is a huge role for the offensive coordinator because Jesse Minter is
29:29a defensive guy and they go with Declan Doyle.
29:3230 years old was with Ben Johnson for one year.
29:35All I have to do is rub shoulder, like not even rub shoulder.
29:40You just have to be in the same vicinity as Ben Johnson.
29:44And now you can be 30 years old and the offensive coordinator for Lamar Jackson and the Ravens.
29:50So what do you think about what happened here in Baltimore this offseason, Evan?
29:55Outlook for the Ravens under Declan Doyle. Yeah, Declan Doyle.
29:58I mean, it's impressive that Ben Johnson liked him.
30:01That, you know, Jesse Minter obviously liked him. Likes him.
30:04But Sean Payton had Declan Doyle on his staff for a couple years as a tight ends coach.
30:10But, I mean, there's just not a whole lot to say here because the track record is so limited.
30:17He has not called plays. He was like a game planner under Ben Johnson last year in Chicago.
30:23And as you mentioned, I mean, he just turned 30.
30:26He turned 30 in March. So it's really interesting.
30:29I mean, he could be a fast ascender if he goes to Baltimore and tears it up.
30:35And Lamar Jackson is healthy. And, you know, they get the most out of what they have in Baltimore.
30:41It's a huge opportunity for Declan Doyle. But it's just, it's really TBD, I think.
30:46I mean, my thought, Dago, was like, they're going to play better this year because Lamar is going to be healthy.
30:53And everybody's going to say, oh, look how great Declan Doyle is doing.
30:58Well, the difference between last year and this year might just be that Lamar is healthy and he's able to run.
31:05So, you know, there's some confounding factors there for sure.
31:08But in terms of scheme changes that Declan Doyle is going to make, I don't really have any strong thoughts there.
31:15Daigle, any thoughts on Ravens under Declan Doyle? I think we're simply expecting a Ravens bounce back for all the reasons you mentioned.
31:23Lamar Jackson suffers that hamstring injury at the halfway point.
31:26He comes back with a big game against the Dolphins.
31:29But really, after that collapsed, his fewest points per game in the last seven years, a new career low and rushing yards per game as well.
31:38So, yes, I think Declan Doyle is a bright mind.
31:41And oddly, this also follows the Super Bowl champions blueprint of last year and hiring a defensive minded genius, what they consider to be an intelligent play caller.
31:51And then also letting the offense roam free with a guy they believe can probably become a head coach in the next couple of years.
31:59But yes, it's really about getting back to the Ravens offense from two years ago that when they had Derek Kinney and
32:07Lamar Jackson fully healthy were truly unstoppable. Yeah. Oh, I do want to say, though, I do think we're in an entering
32:14position for Zay Flowers because for his career, he was pigeonholed for all the things that were going right in Baltimore.
32:21He was never used inside the red zone or end zone.
32:25Like he's never had more than six end zone targets for his entire career.
32:29And that's really what allows you to become like a true wide receiver one for us for fantasy to score touchdowns rather
32:37than relying on big plays from outside the red zone.
32:40At least with a new play caller, he may no longer be pigeonholed.
32:44He may actually get to open up that route tree inside the 20.
32:49And so that makes his ceiling projection really interesting for the first time.
32:53Yeah, I mean, we're at 33 overall on Zay Flowers.
32:56I mean, you know, it's very high for Ravens wide receiver, but market is in line with us.
33:02I mean, market is definitely on Zay Flowers this year, as are we.
33:07Speaking of Ravens, let's go to the Browns because our old friend Todd Monken gets the head coaching job in Cleveland.
33:14He will also be the play caller for what it's worth, Travis Switzer.
33:18He's the offensive coordinator. They're replacing Stefanski, Tommy Reese.
33:21And longtime listeners know how I feel about Todd MFing Monken.
33:2560 years old now, but just been so impressed on almost every stop that Todd Monken has made.
33:31And I actually thought that he did a really good job in Baltimore these last few years.
33:37Not his fault that Lamar got hurt and couldn't run last year.
33:41So maybe I'm too excited about this. Evan, what do you think about Stefanski's chance?
33:46I'm sorry. Todd Monken's chances here in Cleveland. Well, Todd Monken has an unbelievable resume going back a ways.
33:52I did a podcast actually with Matt Kelly back in the day.
33:56And we talked about Todd Monken for like 20, 25 minutes.
34:00He's been at so many places. I mean, he was an awesome wide receivers coach in Jacksonville.
34:05He was known as a talent maximizing wide receivers coach.
34:09At Oklahoma State, he oversaw the Brandon Whedon stuff.
34:12Turned him into a first-round pick. He went to Southern Miss, became their head coach.
34:17I think they had finished winless the year before he had Southern Miss in a bowl game within a few years.
34:24Tampa Bay, Jameis Winston leads the NFL in passing yards.
34:27Georgia, they win multiple national championships with him as the OC.
34:31I'm missing stuff too. I did not cover the entire track record of Todd Monken.
34:36But the entire track record of Todd Monken is super, super impressive.
34:40It's just in Cleveland, you have the worst ownership, the most corrupt ownership in sports.
34:45A guy who is way too hands-on in Jimmy Haslam.
34:48And then you have, I mean, they're remaking everything.
34:51They're remaking the wide receiver core. We don't know who they're.
34:55They've got like four different candidates to play quarterback.
34:58They're remaking the offensive line. So it's a team in major, major flux.
35:02I wish the best for Todd Monken. But this is about as difficult a situation as he's ever had in his career.
35:10We've seen him, you know, work some magic though.
35:13Again, the Southern Miss thing. Inheriting a team that won zero games or one game the year before and having him.
35:20Like he is capable of doing this. Sure. And I mean, I think that both quarterbacks, Shader and Watson, are going to end up making starts this year.
35:29Diego, thoughts on Monken trying to elevate some of these unproven Browns young players?
35:34I want to revisit this conversation when he's operating with Arch Manning in 2027.
35:39But for this year, it is tough. It's an offense with Deshaun Watson, who's averaged 5.8 yards per attempt across 19 starts since joining the Browns.
35:47Shadur Sanders is basically at the bottom of every passing category alongside Cam Ward when you look at the numbers from last year.
35:55And it's a lot of elite young talent. I believe become elite.
35:59Denzel Boston, Casey Concepcion, Harold Fannin has a great chance to lead this team in targets.
36:04It's just a lot of learning to do, I feel like, despite being an offense we like.
36:10So perhaps one of them can emerge in the second half of the season.
36:15Fannin will be reliable all year. But it's just a very ugly situation given what's going on under center.
36:21I mean, if you just want to... There's a longtime rooter for Todd Monken.
36:26I mean, I just hope that he makes it to 2027.
36:30Yeah. Because I mean, I can sort of see this being a one and done sort of thing.
36:36I don't think that he was the Browns' first choice.
36:39I mean, Jimmy Haslam is definitely, you know, an owner capable of firing a guy after one year.
36:45So I just... I hope that we see Todd Monken make it through this season.
36:50I mean, I would think they have to give him a chance with his own quarterback.
36:55I mean, even Jimmy Haslam has to know you're not going to be able to win with Shadur and Deshaun Watson as your quarterbacks.
37:03The good thing is, if you want to just say for this year, I'm going to bet blindly on Todd Monken, which
37:11I'm kind of interested in doing, it's very cheap.
37:14Concepcion goes around 130. Denzel Boston goes around 165.
37:17Fanning goes around pick 100. You know, it's not expensive to take bets here on Todd Monken if you want to.
37:24Number 10, let's go to the Detroit Lions. Drew Petsing is in as the offensive coordinator and play caller replacing John Morton.
37:31If you remember last year, John Morton was such a disaster as the offensive coordinator that Dan Campbell had to fire him
37:39basically and take over play calling in week 10.
37:42And after that, the Lions offense did perform much, much, much better.
37:46So Morton wasn't it. Evan, will Drew Petsing be it for the Lions?
37:50I'm not sure. I'm not sure. But if, you know, Drew Petsing struggles out of the gate, like Dan Campbell's going to
37:57be calling plays by week five for the Lions.
38:00So I don't know what to think about Drew Petsing.
38:04He was, I would say he sort of was a roller coaster in Arizona.
38:08I know that at one point and justifiably Daigle was high on Drew Petsing, but, you know, it didn't finish out smoothly in Arizona for him.
38:17I am still high on Drew Petsing, and I think he's the right type of play caller, assuming they don't want to,
38:24you know, blow it up and go back to a Ben Johnson style of young mind like Declan Doyle.
38:31But for Petsing, it's interesting because remember last year we knew they had the offensive line issues come into the season, and
38:38that ultimately cratered over that last month and a half whenever even Jameer Gibbs was getting stuff behind the line of scrimmage constantly.
38:46But Petsing, I feel like his ultimate strength, even if he can't call an efficient offense, his strength is understanding modern running schemes in the NFL.
38:55And that's why in 2023 and 2024, the Cardinals actually finished second as a team in yards per carry.
39:01Last year, it plummeted a little bit. It was still above average, but it plummeted.
39:06I understand. I do think, though, he's the one that can help open the offensive line even further, while Campbell remains the
39:13guy that continues telling him, keep your foot on the gas.
39:17That is what we do here. Yep. Yeah, totally agree.
39:20And like, I know there's been pushback on Gibbs one versus Bijan.
39:24Some of what Daigle said, it's just, I think it's pretty easily Gibbs here.
39:29And then you also get Amon Ra at eight overall, which I feel pretty good about.
39:34Now, Jamison Williams at 50 overall, which is going to be spiky, but I still feel good about that.
39:41And Laporte at 88. All the health stuff feels really good on him.
39:45So Petsing certainly has a lot to work with here.
39:49Eleven, New York Giants. John Harbaugh is their new head coach.
39:52Matt Nagy somehow lands this office coordinator play caller job replacing Dable.
39:56I don't know, Evan. And like, I thought Nagy was bad in Chicago.
40:01And I thought that he messed up the Mahomes stuff, which I didn't even know was possible.
40:06But I kind of thought he messed up the Mahomes read stuff in Kansas City.
40:11The data on the KC stuff is muddied due to all the personnel changes.
40:16But they were from 2018 to 2022. The Chiefs were either first or second in yards per play under Patrick Mahomes.
40:23Nagy gets there in 2023. 2023, they go to ninth.
40:262024, 22nd. 2025, 23rd. So, I mean, even with Patrick Mahomes, Nagy seemed to mess that up.
40:32And I know it's not all on him. I know there were other issues.
40:37But, man, I have no faith whatsoever in Matt Nagy.
40:40Am I being too hard on him here, Evan, as he goes to New York?
40:45I think the biggest red flag to me is almost the way that he exited the Chiefs.
40:51I mean, Andy Reid is a guy who takes care of his guys, takes care of his players, takes care of his coaches.
40:59And with Matt Nagy, they were like, we don't want you back, like in any kind of a capacity, you know.
41:06And they just moved on with Eric Biennemi and let Matt Nagy float.
41:10And somehow, somehow he luck boxed himself into like a great opportunity under, you know, John Harbaugh, who's not an offensive-minded guy.
41:17And this is like Matt, I mean, Matt Nagy, if he smashes it, he could be back, you know, at least getting some interest as a head coach.
41:27I don't think that that's going to happen, though.
41:30I don't really believe in Matt Nagy. I don't think he's a particularly smart guy.
41:35He's not, you know, a particularly progressive thinker. I mean, he didn't, he's not a talent maximizer.
41:40He hasn't shown that in any of his spots.
41:43And then you look at, you know, what you just pointed about, what happened with that correlation with him in Kansas City.
41:51That is not positive either. So I kind of like don't know how he got this job.
41:57And I don't feel great about it. And the vibes aren't very good with the Giants anyways, especially with all the stuff
42:04going on around Malik Nabors' injury right now. Right.
42:07And I mean, I know Silva's lower than market on Cam Scadaboo.
42:11I mean, you could talk about the injury. You can talk about the Giants' systemic risk.
42:16But yeah, you could also talk about Matt Nagy if you wanted to try to poke holes in Cam Scadaboo.
42:23Also, Dale, are we being too hard here on Mr.
42:26Nagy? Not just Nagy. It's interesting for John Harbaugh, who I have a lot of respect for, but also understand in Baltimore,
42:34he worked with, alongside Ozzie Newsom and Eric DaCosta, like who we're going to talk about as two of the best drafters of the last couple of decades.
42:43And now we're going to like a Giants franchise that from the top down otherwise is pretty much a disaster.
42:50So I'm interested to see what happens in year one, but they certainly have the talent across the board.
42:56Upgraded their secondary this offseason. Still have Andrew Thomas at left tackle.
43:00Jackson Dart last year was the QB5 in points per game.
43:04Eight and a half weekly rushing points that you can easily grab as a QB2 right now in best ball league.
43:11So I do think they have a lot of promising pieces to build around, but year one will certainly be interesting.
43:18Yeah. All right. Let's stick with New York here for number 12.
43:22Jets go with Frank Reich as their new office coordinator play caller, replacing Tanner Engstrand.
43:27Frank Reich is 64 years old. He was the Panthers head coach for one year in 2023.
43:33Been out of the NFL since then. I mean, I don't feel good about this, Evan, because I kind of think Aaron Glenn is kind of adult.
43:42And I kind of think Frank Reich is kind of adult also.
43:46And so you combine that, that doesn't inspire much.
43:49What do you think about Frank Reich with the Jets here, Evan?
43:53There was a point in Frank Reich's coaching career where I thought he was like a stud.
43:58I mean, I think that you could have pointed to him as the mastermind behind the Eagles, Nick Foles, Super Bowl win,
44:06even more so than like Doug Peterson. However, these are the last four years.
44:11This is what Frank Reich has been doing for the last four years.
44:152022, Frank Reich goes 3-5-1 as the Colts head coach, fired, replaced in season by Jeff Saturday.
44:21Frank Reich 2023 goes 1-10 as the Panthers head coach, fired in season, replaced by Chris Tabor.
44:26Frank Reich 2024 doesn't coach at all. Frank Reich 2025 goes 4-8 as the interim head coach at Stanford.
44:33So Frank Reich has not had success in almost a half of a decade as a coach at any level.
44:39It's just, it's really hard to get inspired by anything surrounding Frank Reich at this point.
44:45I mean, I agree. The problem is I like a lot of the Jets stuff.
44:50You know what I mean? And so I'm trying to like balance.
44:54They got some talent on offense. They have a good offensive line.
44:58Yeah. And I mean, Garrett Wilson and Brees Hall were ahead of market on both of those guys.
45:04Then you also get the Omar Cooper, Sadiq stuff, Aidy Mitchell late also.
45:08I mean, there's, I take a lot of Jets stuff, but I don't feel good about this coaching.
45:14Diggle, what do you think about Frank Reich and the Jets?
45:18Similar in that we all believe it comes down to how well Geno Smith plays.
45:23And Geno Smith alone is a massive upgrade from what they had all throughout last year.
45:28But also we expect this team to be bad enough to where we're not talking about 17 starts from Geno Smith.
45:35So what happens when Kade Klubnik or anyone else is under center?
45:39I'm not sure. And that's kind of where my concerns come in outside of the stars and Brees Hall and Garrett Wilson.
45:47Number 13, the Miami Dolphins. Jeff Halfley is the head coach now.
45:51Bobby Slowick, office coordinator slash play caller replacing Mike McDaniel.
45:54Just an impossible job here. I mean, I know McDaniel kept it together last season.
45:59I'm still not really sure how. Halfley like it just the college birds didn't seem to think he did a great job at Boston College.
46:07He was the Packers defensive coordinator for a couple of years.
46:11Now he's the head coach. And then Slowick, that 2024 season with the Texans was rough, man.
46:17I know people don't want to put it all on Slowick.
46:21But it was rough, really rough in 2024. So I know the talent is bad here and they could maybe fall back on that.
46:29But I don't think the coaching is going to be great either.
46:33Evan, what do you think about Dolphins' situation? You know, I kind of like Bobby Slowick.
46:38I like the idea of Bobby Slowick. You know, he worked for PFF for three years.
46:43I think that's kind of cool on his resume.
46:46But, I mean, there's no reason for optimism here.
46:49I mean, I just – I struggle to say anything positive about Bobby Slowick or the situation that the Dolphins are entering in 2026.
46:57Maybe they'll surprise. But I got nothing positive to say.
47:01Yeah, I mean, I just remember that season, the 2024 season.
47:04I know Stroud was worse, Daigle, but, like, Slowick could not stop free rushers from coming in and hitting C.J.
47:11Stroud. Free rushers. He was pounding the ball against eight-man fronts.
47:15You know, just running on second and long. I mean, it was running the ball on early downs constantly.
47:21He was not a good offensive coordinator for the Texans.
47:25I can't believe y'all are making me defend Bobby Slowick.
47:28I don't even necessarily have good things to say, but it is undeniable C.J.
47:33Stroud has only gotten worse since Bobby Slowick has not coached him.
47:37Whatever that means. So, that's the grain of salt I'm taking into Miami.
47:41Also, Malik Willis. I know all of us are drafting him in best ball just because he is that easy, as Rich
47:48Rebar would say, Konami co-quarterback that goes too late.
47:516.6 per game rushing point since 2024, despite only having 89 passes in that time.
47:56So, regardless of how he fares as a passer, and it might not even be good, we know he's naturally going to
48:04run the ball and get us those usable scores from time to time.
48:08Yeah. I mean, obviously, I take Malik Willis. That's just, like, an easy one.
48:13I don't, you know, the Silva bearish take on Devon Achan is one that I've kind of latched onto here.
48:19Also, not only losing Mike McDaniel, but you add Malik Willis, which I don't think is a good thing for Achan.
48:27And then you have all this coaching stuff and systemic risk in the Dolphins.
48:31Like, Achan's ADP is currently around 19. It opened best ball around, like, 14.
48:36You know, so he's certainly slipping, but we're down at 21 overall here on Achan right now.
48:42And season long, we get there. I think Silva and I both will be proponents of taking Ashton Jenty, Saquon Barkley, some
48:49other running backs from these play callers we've talked about well ahead of Achan.
48:54Yep. 14, let's go to Tampa Bay. Zach Robinson is the offensive coordinator slash play caller taking over for Josh Grizzard.
49:01There's been so much turnover year over year, year after year, for Baker Mayfield's office coordinator slash play caller here.
49:07Evan, what do you think about Zach Robinson now?
49:10Zach Robinson, another guy who was a former PFF analyst, also worked under Sean McVay for four years with the Rams from 2019 through 2023.
49:19And then goes to Atlanta and was there for two years.
49:22I don't really know what to think. You know, there's just a lot of context to be considered with injuries and quarterback situations.
49:30And I don't know what to think of Zach Robinson.
49:34I don't know. What do you think, Diggle? Well, there's another one before you go, Diggle.
49:39There's another one where it's like Baker was hurt last year and Zach Robinson could look really good just if he gets
49:46Baker back healthy and back to that like 2024 level.
49:50So, yeah, there's definitely health questions there from last year with Baker.
49:54But sorry, Diggle, go ahead. Ryan Heath at Fantasy Points, who's doing great work over there, has actually pointed out this offseason
50:01that offenses that include motion actually see their yards per route run and fantasy points per route increase dramatically.
50:07A 17% bump. And if that's the case, I would like to note that Zach Robinson last year, third in motion for Atlanta's offense.
50:15So we know he has the talent. We know Baker Mayfield was a player to bet against coming into last year, given his career high touchdown rate.
50:24We expected to regress. And we know that Silva and I are going to make sure everyone drafts a Mecca Buka in 2026.
50:32So I'm actually quite high on this situation and just believe it's going to be a natural bounce back year for Baker and this passing offense.
50:41Yeah, that's fair. I mean, I know you guys love a Gbuka.
50:45I don't have a problem with a Gbuka. I would just note his ADP is up to 32 overall now.
50:52I mean, no bargains whatsoever here on a Gbuka.
50:55We are pivot to Godwin. We are ahead of market on Baker, though.
50:59Like people, I think, are holding too much of Baker's last year against him.
51:04His ADP is 121. We're closer to 114 here on Baker Mayfield right now.
51:08Now, 15, the Washington Commanders. David Bling-Blang Blau, the new office coordinator, play card taking over for Cliff Kingsbury.
51:15They've talked about schematic changes here already, Evan. They're going to play more under center, even with Jaden Daniels.
51:21They're going to have more zone running schemes. And then at a micro level, David Blau, one of the first things he
51:28talked about, I'm going to get Terry McClure in the ball 10 times a game.
51:33I'm going to move McClure around the formation. I'm going to use Ben Sina more than they did previously.
51:40And these are all like shots at Cliff Kingsbury, which I thought were well-deserved.
51:45Like, why was Terry McClure standing in one spot on the field?
51:49Why was Ben Sina not getting any opportunities? I think under David Blau, we're going to see a much, much, much different look.
51:56So I'm actually excited about this one. Evan, thoughts on Commanders?
52:00Yeah, there's no real track record to draw on of David Blau.
52:04David Blau, excuse me. You know, calling plays in the NFL.
52:08But it does seem like he was like kind of quietly pissed off at what Cliff Kingsbury was doing because David Blau
52:15was on the commander staff for the last two years as their assistant quarterbacks coach.
52:20So he's like, God, what is Cliff doing? And, you know, in the things that he said publicly, he's like everything is
52:27like anti, you know, what Cliff was doing. So I like that.
52:31But I think that we're going to see more play action.
52:35As you mentioned, that's going to be really, really big for Terry McClure moving him around.
52:41I mean, he's just David Blau was saying all the right things.
52:45And I sort of trust him to enact those things because they all make sense.
52:50Yeah. I remember playing David Blau in like a Thanksgiving slate, like a three-game slate of when he was like on the Lions.
52:57Pandemic. Yeah. Anyways, Dagle, go ahead on the commanders.
53:00It is the Eagles that everyone is discounting first and foremost for last year sins in both best ball in your home leagues and that it's the commanders.
53:10We are only one season removed from this commander's team going to the NFC championship with the fifth high success rate and
53:17five and a half yards per play. Tenth in the league.
53:21During that season, recall that Terry McClure did reach career high marks and end zone targets and per game points without Debo Samuel.
53:28Last year when Debo Samuel was injured, McClure was targeted on 30% of his routes.
53:33And as y'all mentioned, David Blau is suggesting more play action.
53:37From play action, Jaden Daniels has averaged eight and a half yards per attempt, just 7.2 from shotgun.
53:43So I think it's all going to benefit these two players in particular.
53:48We can sift through their backfield throughout the offseason as we try to like target the ambiguous one who's going to win.
53:55But Terry McClure and Jaden Daniels are in for big bounce back years.
53:59Yeah. I mentioned Jalen Hurts as like one of the most mispriced quarterbacks.
54:04To me, Jaden Daniels has to be like the most mispriced quarterback.
54:08ADP of 70. We're at 56 overall here on Jaden Daniels.
54:1116. The Denver Broncos. I thought it was interesting.
54:14You know, Sean Payton strikes me as kind of like a control freak, like egomaniac.
54:19And he has ceded offensive coordinator slash play calling duties to Davis Webb, who was the quarterback, a quarterback for the Giants in 2022.
54:27He's been with Payton in Denver last couple years.
54:30Evan, what do you think about Davis Webb here on the sticks for the Broncos this season?
54:36It's just so hard for me to imagine Sean Payton not calling the plays for a team that he runs, you know?
54:43Well, you remember Davis Webb was generating like head coaching interest, I think for the Giants.
54:49But the Giants were allegedly interested in making him their head coach.
54:53So I feel like that's just something that the Broncos had to tell Davis Webb, all right, well, you know, to bring you back.
55:01Like they do like him, obviously. To bring him back, all right, we'll let you call plays.
55:07I feel like by week three, Sean Payton's going to be calling plays again for the Broncos.
55:12So I just, I struggled to put my finger on any real needle moving impact here, Davis Webb, you know, calling plays for the Broncos.
55:21Yep, I think that's fair. Dago, go ahead. It's also hard given that it was already tough to pinpoint which player Sean
55:28Payton wanted to feature and use weekly. And now we're also adding Jerry Judy to the mix, which everyone believes is going
55:35to be a constant on the field. But with Sean Payton, I'm just not sure this offense really features anyone weekly.
55:42So it's really tough, especially given, uh, uh, I said Jerry Judy, Jalen Waddles.
55:47Especially given his ADP right now that goes around players like Luther Byrne, Terry McLaurin and Mecca Buka.
55:53Uh, I don't want to be the one that in that tier, Mike Evans, even Devante Adams of elite players reaches for someone in this offense.
56:02So for me, it's been a real hard click on Jalen Waddle so far.
56:07Yeah, I've been kind of lukewarm on Jalen Waddle.
56:10Also, I know there's some smart people that are on Jalen Waddle.
56:14He has not been a priority for me in that range either.
56:18He goes 47th overall on draft games. 17, the Seattle Seahawks.
56:21You mentioned Clint Kubiak is gone. Brian Fleury is in as their offensive coordinator slash play caller.
56:27Brian Fleury comes from San Francisco, was there for seven years, obviously studying under Kyle Shanahan Silva.
56:33What do you think about this change, Kubiak to Fleury in Seattle?
56:37Even though Fleury is technically coming from another team, it's basically the same offensive system as Clint Kubiak.
56:43Or certainly the same concepts and same verbiage. So I think that he's really just going to be expected to keep the same system in place.
56:51Fleury in Seattle. And obviously he has history with Sam Darnold from that year.
56:56I think it's about Sam Darnold, really. A guy that Sam Darnold is familiar with from that year in 2023.
57:03Fleury was on the 49er staff and Sam Darnold was the backup.
57:07I think Sam Darnold made a start actually that year in week 18, if I'm not mistaken.
57:13So another non-needle moving hire, I believe. Yeah. I'll say this, Daigle.
57:17Like, one of the reasons that I prefer Chase and Puka to JSN is just losing Kubiak.
57:22And maybe it's not a needle mover. Maybe it's not a big thing.
57:27But when you're parsing at the top there, like, that's enough that he lost Kubiak for me to say I prefer Chase and Puka over JSN.
57:35Daigle, any thoughts on that or other Seattle stuff?
57:38We try to learn from our mistakes and fantasy every year and just become better as each year progresses.
57:45And I think one of the biggest things I learned last year was not to assume the coordinator learned from their predecessor.
57:52This goes back to John Morton, who didn't seem to learn a single thing from Ben Johnson.
57:58This goes to Nick Kaley, who also came from Sean McVay to coach the Texans.
58:03Didn't learn a single thing from Sean McVay. And so, yes, Fleury should keep everything intact.
58:08But will he? I don't want to make that assumption.
58:12So I agree with you. It's Puka and Chase for me in terms of wide receivers, even though JSN's obviously in that first tier.
58:20Yeah, and I mean, Kevin Petula was also with the Eagles starting back in 2021.
58:25And he didn't, you know, learn anything clearly either about all the success that they had in the way they were using their players prior to last year.
58:34All right, two more here that I don't think are needle moving, but we do just want to touch on 18.
58:41The Bills make the decision to promote Joe Brady to head coach.
58:45He was, of course, obviously a coordinator there last year.
58:48I don't think there's much change here. He called the plays last year.
58:53He was obviously a coordinator. I expect Joe Brady again to call the plays as the head coach.
58:59Sylvan, any notes for you on Brady and the Bills?
59:02Offensive continuity. Joe Brady, since he started running the Bills offense, has really placed an emphasis on running the ball to keep the team on schedule.
59:11They've got a really good offensive line. And James Cook is a baller.
59:15So I just expect more of the same. Dagle, any Buffalo thoughts?
59:19We talked about Jalen Waddell's ADP. I do think DJ Moore is also a winner from this offseason.
59:25Like, we can argue about, you know, this stage of his career.
59:29Is it possible he can be featured with this offense?
59:33But the fact is that Josh Allen now has a featured receiver.
59:37And why wouldn't we want to just logically target any number one wide receiver working with Josh Allen?
59:43So I think ultimately I'll just be higher on DJ Moore than the market suggests.
59:48All right. Last one here today. Number 19, Kansas City Chiefs Eric Biennemi is back as the offensive coordinator.
59:54I still kind of think Andy Reid's going to call plays.
59:58But there's so much respect for Eric Biennemi within the Chiefs.
60:01Silva, do you think this matters that they're getting Biennemi back here as offensive coordinator?
60:06Maybe from an addition by subtraction thing as it relates to Matt Nagy.
60:11Yeah. I think that Eric Biennemi is like a motivator type coach.
60:15Like a little ball of energy. You know, he's a running backs coach.
60:19And I think he could bring something, you know, in that aspect to the Chiefs.
60:24But I don't think he's like some offensive mastermind or some great offensive strategist.
60:29I think that that's, you know, theoretically that's Andy Reid.
60:32Yeah. I mean, I thought Biennemi hit the nail on the head.
60:36He had some comments around Kenneth Walker. And he was like, yeah, we know Kenneth Walker's a great runner.
60:43We're trying to get him to be an all-around back.
60:46It was when we get the ball in his hands even more.
60:50And to me, that's like, yeah, exactly. That was like the nail on the head.
60:55So I remain very excited for Kenneth Walker with Eric Biennemi.
60:59Daigle, any thoughts on Chiefs here? It was an obvious need.
61:02Chiefs were 31st in 2024 and last year in explosive carries.
61:06Kenneth Walker last year was third in that metric.
61:09So just someone they needed to move the line of scrimmage to open things up even more for Patrick Mahomes.
61:16Right now, it's really tough to talk about the offense because we have Patrick McCombs recovering.
61:21We have Rasheed Rice getting out of prison, then running away.
61:25So apparently his knee's okay from journalists. So I'm just not sure like what this offense is in week one right now.
61:32Yep. All right. That is going to do it for our 2026 look at NFL coaching changes.
61:38Hope you guys got some value out of this.
61:41If you did, hit the subscribe button here on the YouTube machine.
61:45It is indeed free for Silva, for Daigle, for Sir Ryan, for Sir Luke, who I believe is married right now.
61:52I am Adam. Good luck, everybody.
