Aaron Jones

PositiveRole32:28

Following Jordan Mason's move to injured reserve, Aaron Jones is expected to see an increased workload. Jir Gibbs projects him for roughly 65% of the work, noting he is not a full bellcow due to injury history and age, but remains a viable starter who should improve with better quarterback play. He is expected to be a top-20 running back, as he looked fine in Week 1 and is not washed; the Vikings' offensive line is improved, and the team is leaning into a more balanced, run-heavy approach.

Insight page

Bijan Robinson

PositiveProjection5:06

Bijan Robinson is ranked as the RB2 and placed in the S tier. Despite the Falcons' offensive struggles, Robinson maintains high value due to a 45% target share and his history of success against the Panthers, having scored at least 22.5 fantasy points in each of his last three meetings against them.

Insight page

Blake Corum

NegativeDepth Chart6:22

Blake Corum serves as the primary backup to Kyren Williams, effectively preventing Williams from reaching a weekly top-five fantasy ceiling. He is also used as a benchmark for ranking other backup running backs, currently placed in a similar tier to Isaac Guerendo.

Insight page

Braelon Allen

NegativeRole16:03

Braelon Allen is carving out a specific role in the Jets' backfield, handling short-yardage situations and playing on third and fourth-down scenarios, which limits Breece Hall's total snap share.

Insight page

Breece Hall

NegativeUsage16:04

Breece Hall is not expected to be a 75% snap-share player due to the presence of Braelon Allen, who handles short-yardage and third-down work. However, Hall remains a strong fantasy asset who will catch passes in negative game scripts and is capable of explosive plays.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

PositiveProjection30:27

Ranked as RB17, Bucky Irving is expected to see 15-20 carries against the Browns. Jir Gibbs compares his playstyle to James Cook when healthy and notes that if he secures goal-line work, he has top-15 running back upside.

Insight page

Cam Akers

PositiveRole33:55

Akers is locked into a role receiving approximately 15 touches regardless of game script. His fantasy ceiling is tied to his passing game involvement; he has RB12 upside if he catches passes, but projects as an RB21 if he remains strictly a between-the-tackles runner.

Insight page

Chase Brown

PositiveUsage29:32

Brown is highly valued for his usage, having handled 71% of snaps and ranking as the RB4 in expected points last week. He maintains an 18% target share and is utilized in manufactured touch schemes, making him a reliable fantasy option even when the Bengals' offense struggles.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

PositiveProjection4:15

Christian McCaffrey remains an S-tier fantasy running back despite potential workload management. While Isaac Guerendo is expected to spell him on early downs between the 20s, McCaffrey maintains a dominant 10-of-12 snap share in passing situations and remains the primary goal-line back. The 49ers are 13.5-point favorites against the Dolphins, and McCaffrey's receiving ability is highlighted as a key asset against Miami's defense.

Insight page

Chuba Hubbard

PositiveValue35:35

Hubbard is undervalued at RB21 and should be considered a top-24 running back as long as his current backfield split continues. He maintained RB7-level usage in 2024, handled both goal-line attempts in Week 1, and benefits from a strong offensive line and favorable road matchups.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

PositiveProjection23:39

DeAndre Swift is ranked as the RB14 and is viewed as a boom-bust RB2. Despite a 44% rush share since last year due to rotation, he is considered an all-purpose back by the coaching staff. The matchup against the Vikings is challenging for receiving production, but the Bears' 26.5-point projection and reliance on running behind Darnell Wright provide upside. Following his contract extension, acquiring Swift for a first-round pick is considered a winning move, offering better value than rookie prospects like Nicholas Singleton.

Insight page

David Montgomery

NegativeUsage2:16

David Montgomery remains a significant part of the Lions' rushing attack, having recently scored a touchdown against the Bills while operating alongside Jahmyr Gibbs. Ranked as RB18, he faces a tough Bengals run defense. While he maintains a 50% snap share and high-value touches (five inside the 10-yard line), he struggled with efficiency last week, being hit at or behind the line of scrimmage on 14 of 20 carries.

Insight page

De'Von Achane

NegativeProjection22:00

De'Von Achane is ranked as the RB13 for the week, though he faces a difficult matchup against the 49ers with a low team total of 16 points. While the Dolphins' offense struggled in Week 1, Achane's involvement in the passing game—catching three passes during a fourth-quarter passing script—helps maintain his fantasy floor.

Insight page

Derrick Henry

PositiveProjection6:26

Derrick Henry is an S-tier running back and a first-round fantasy asset. He is coming off a 24-carry performance and leads the league in rush yards over expected, EPA per carry, and yards per carry. Playing alongside Lamar Jackson, he has averaged 106 rushing yards and nearly a touchdown per game over his last 33 games. He is a strong start against a Saints defense that struggled against the run in Week 1, and he was the primary reason the Colts' defense had to change their defensive personnel.

Insight page

Emari Demercado

NegativeDepth Chart29:13

Emari Demercado was recently signed to serve as the backup running back behind the primary starter.

Insight page

Jahmyr Gibbs

PositiveProjection1:42

Jahmyr Gibbs is ranked as the RB1 and placed in a tier of his own, significantly above other running backs. He recorded 28.4 expected half-PPR points in Week 1 and consistently outperforms his expected totals. The Lions' offense has improved its rushing success rate to 51.5% (up from 38% in 2025), aided by offensive line changes like Blake Miller at right tackle. Gibbs has historically averaged over 25 fantasy points in games without David Montgomery, and he faces a Bills defense that ranks as the fourth-worst against fantasy running backs since 2025.

Insight page

James Cook

PositiveProjection13:33

James Cook is ranked as the RB8 for Week 2; while he may not lead the league in rushing yards, he remains a high-upside play due to the Bills' high team total and his involvement in the passing game.

Insight page

Javonte Williams

PositiveUsage29:01

Ranked as RB10, Javonte Williams saw 22 routes and six targets in week one, showing positive regression as a receiver. He remains a high-usage back, ranking top 10 in usage last year and RB9 in week one, with a favorable matchup against a Commanders defense that struggled against RBs last season.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

PositiveProjection10:00

Jonathan Taylor is ranked in the S-tier, supported by his status as the RB1/RB2 in overall usage over his last 14 games with Daniel Jones. Despite being a touchdown underdog against the Chiefs, he is expected to remain a focal point of the offense.

Insight page

Jordan Mason

NegativeInjury32:37

Jordan Mason is confirmed to be heading to injured reserve to undergo finger surgery, significantly impacting the backfield depth chart.

Insight page

Josh Allen

PositiveMatchup13:40

Josh Allen has a strong historical track record in Thursday games (8-1) and leads an offense projected for nearly 30 points against the Lions.

Insight page

Kendre Miller

NegativeUsage38:42

Miller's involvement in Week 1, including early-down snaps and goal-line touches inside the 10-yard line, negatively impacts Travis Etienne's fantasy outlook. Miller converted an eight-yard touchdown in his limited but impactful role.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

PositiveProjection8:10

Kenneth Walker III is an S-tier fantasy running back following a dominant Week 1 performance where he finished as the RB3 with over 21 expected half-PPR points. He is expected to maintain a snap share above 60%, a threshold where he historically averages 17.5 fantasy points per game. He benefits from a favorable matchup against a Colts defense that is currently struggling with communication and defensive play-calling.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

PositiveProjection20:49

Ranked as RB12, Williams is a high-floor play projected for around 28 points, which correlates with touchdown potential. He maintains a 75% snap share when the Rams are tied or trailing, and his role in the passing game—specifically on option routes—is a key asset. While Blake Corum limits his weekly top-five ceiling, he remains a reliable starter.

Insight page

Mike Washington Jr.

NegativeDepth Chart11:49

Mike Washington is competing for snaps in the Chargers backfield, but his role is expected to take time to ramp up, if it develops at all, given Genty's strong performance.

Insight page

Omarion Hampton

NegativeUsage32:03

Ranked as RB11, Hampton maintains a high carry share (75%) but concerns persist regarding his lack of targets and the poor performance of the interior offensive line. While he possesses physical talent, he needs to improve his involvement in the passing game to maintain his top-12 status.

Insight page

Rhamondre Stevenson

NegativeProjection40:29

Ranked as RB23, Stevenson is slightly below consensus because the projection accounts for the expected return of Antonio Gibson, which is anticipated to lead to a backfield split.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

PositiveProjection15:32

Saquon Barkley is ranked as the RB9 for Week 2; despite a poor Week 1 performance due to offensive line issues, he is expected to bounce back against the Titans, with his receiving usage being higher than the box score suggests. Jir Gibbs notes he is a strong candidate for an explosive performance in week two, citing his seven broken tackles in week one and a new running scheme.

Insight page

Sean Tucker

NegativeRole30:38

Jir Gibbs is monitoring Sean Tucker's health status to determine if he will serve as a goal-line vulture for the Buccaneers, a role that remains uncertain after week one.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

NegativeUsage38:11

Jir Gibbs expresses concern over Etienne's usage, noting he was only RB24 in dropback percentage (39%) in Week 1. His outlook is further negatively impacted by Kendre Miller's involvement in early-down snaps and goal-line touches, alongside a difficult matchup against the Ravens where the team is projected to lose by 8.5 points.

0:00Week two running back rankings are here.
0:02I think we're going to go at least like 39 40 names deep. And Hayden, we already have everything figured out after week
0:07one.
0:07>> We do. This is the hard part though because you don't want to read into the sample size too much, but you do want to
0:13react uh and I was looking at some math uh as I typically do. And the running back position is the position if you
0:19want to take a week one sample and at least look at the usage and be like this is kind of I'm taking this at face value
0:24like this is the position to do it.
0:26>> Totally. And we know that game scripts play a factor, especially in the running game. And then also defenses that you
0:31face play a factor. And sometimes with the defenses, Hayden, we don't really know which ones are good in week one and
0:36which ones are bad. But that is something we're going to discuss here today. First of all, Justin Boon is going to be on our running back rankings
0:42for the rest of the season. He had a death in the family. Obviously, we're sending our best wishes to him and his
0:48wife and his his whole family with that stuff. Uh Hayden, though, I do have a pitch for you. Uh, we had a request in
0:54the comments last week to turn this into like actual tiers. So, you want to give it a go? Like a little rough draft this
1:00week and see how that goes?
1:02>> Yeah. Uh, can we send Jir Gibbs into a tier way above the screen that exists here?
1:07>> Well, let's kick things off with Jir Gibbs because right now and in the future, he will be your running back.
1:13One, this is at the Buffalo Bills. Uh Detroit had a league high 51 a.5% success rate on rushing plays in week
1:21one. In 2025 they were 28th in the league in that department at around 38%.
1:28So we know that they've changed some other offensive linemen, namely Blake Miller at right tackle plus bringing Drew Ping in as offensive coordinator.
1:36>> There are some splits uh from the last couple years without David Montgomery and he's averaging over 25 uh fantasy points in those ones. And then last week
1:4328.4 expected half PPR points. He always finishes above his expected total because he's so good. Lions projected for 25 points on the road short week
1:51against the Bills. The Bills just got lit up by David Montgomery and Woody Marks. David Montgomery went untouched for a touchdown there and then over the
1:57last uh couple seasons. So from 2025 week one all the way through last week.
2:01The Bills are the four fourth worst fantasy running back defense when you adjust for schedule. So this is a tier by himself. uh maybe for the graphic we
2:10we keep his other others in there but yes out of respect for Jir Gibbs he's like three tiers above everybody else.
2:15>> Um and just to prepare yourself I I am going to ask you once we get to James Cook uh just about some of the wide
2:20receivers in the this game as well since it's Thursday night football uh because obviously our wide receiver show posts on Friday after this. So keep that in
2:28mind. Okay. Think about two things at once. Not too difficult. I also want to mention that Hayden last week finished as the fifth best ranker according to
2:36Fantasy Pros out there. How does that feel?
2:40>> That was pretty exciting. I didn't realize how many people have rankings.
2:42There was 185 of them. I will also say this, a couple of the people ahead of me did not rank kickers and defenses and
2:50kickers was my worst position. So, with the big asteris there, if I also didn't rank kickers, I might have even finished
2:56higher.
2:56>> There you go. And when I see fifth overall, Hayden, do you know what I think? Uh, I think that there's still
3:02improvement.
3:03>> There is. There is.
3:04>> Let's get better. Okay.
3:06>> Bean Robinson is your running back, too.
3:08I'm gonna keep going in S tier. Uh, this is against the Carolina Panthers.
3:13Unfortunately, last week, the Falcons had to build their offense around Bejon Robinson. On one hand, that's good for us for touches. On the other hand, it
3:21was an abysmal offense. uh he got there on one wide receiver screen reception that he took the house, but they were
3:28the only team in the league without a snap inside of the red zone in week one.
3:33So, how many weeks is it going to take for that to change?
3:36>> Um I don't know. As long as as long as Bejian's getting the ball, I don't really even care that much. Like I think
3:42it's as simple as that 45% target share.
3:44Uh and then Bean's also just absolutely lit up the Panthers. He scored 22 and a half fantasy points or more in his last
3:51three outings against them. like this is just like a complete layup line here as well. The team total makes me nervous at
3:5620 and a half, but the Panthers uh they've been equally bad. DeAndre Swift Kunga last week.
4:01>> Yeah, the the tackling was brutal for the Panthers last week and that's something that with a number of these teams I'm going to keep in mind if it
4:07can change if it doesn't and once we get to like a two to three game sample, it's like oh buddy, that is a major problem
4:13that can continue here.
4:15>> Chris McCaffrey, I'm assuming is still in tier S for you.
4:18>> Yep.
4:19>> Okay. CMC, this is against the Miami Dolphins. I just want to make sure of this. By the way, Fantasy Labs. Love
4:26your product. Uh, in terms of all of the, uh, let's say lines and, you know, point totals and everything like that.
4:33They're the ones that got me in trouble yesterday with the Commanders and the Dallas Cowboys. I'm going to put them on
4:37notice. Okay.
4:37>> Well, good news for you. Uh, the website that we use, I have that same exact thing and my lines were correct. So, I'm
4:43going to send you a link after this.
4:44>> Okay. Perfect. Uh, I'm saying that by noting that apparently the 49ers are 13 and a half point favorites against the
4:51Miami Dolphins. Are you seeing the same thing?
4:53>> Yes. Second highest team at 29 and a half. I'm kind of taking what happened in week one at face value. I think that
4:59Shanahan was talking about this quote, I want him to have more juice. I want him fresher. He doesn't have to take that
5:04beating when it's unnecessary. I'm hoping we can have some other guys step up more this year so you don't feel like
5:08you have to have them on the field every play. He said that back right after the draft. Since then, Kayn Black has had an
5:14excellent camp and Cayen Black is going to spell him between the 20s on early downs. And that's totally fine on passing situations. 10 of 12 snaps in
5:22favor of Christian McCaffrey. I do think at the goal line it'll be Christian McCaffrey. If you chop off six of the
5:27most uh kind of useless uh carries from Christian McCaffrey on a per game basis, it's not that big of a deal. So, I think
5:34that he's probably not going to be the legendary RB1, but in this week against the Dolphins, by the way, the Dolphins
5:39can stop Ashen Genty out in space as a receiver. I think that's what Christian McCaffrey does.
5:44>> I also think if the team is up by 13, we could see Kaylin Black in there for half of the fourth quarter and that could
5:50mean a touchdown on top of it. So, I keep mentioning this Kungai adjacent maybe type role here for Kayn Black and
5:57as we know that really was like a very small piece of the pie earlier in the season and then kind of expanded as the
6:04season went along. Uh, but in these types of games where an offense is projected for so many points, the true backup running back can still get there.
6:12So, if you're like really in a pinch either in a deep league or because of your flex for some reason, um I think
6:18Kayn Black is an intriguing name once we get further and further down the list.
6:22>> Yeah, I think I have him pretty close like Blake Corum in my rankings and I shouldn't keep doing that.
6:26>> Okay, Dererick Henry is your running back four. Is he still S tier?
6:29>> Absolutely.
6:30>> Okay, eight and a half point favorites against the New Orleans Saints this week. Uh hey, New Orleans had a league
6:35low 48 and a half% success rate defending rushing plays in week one.
6:41That was against the Detroit Lions, which again is Jir Gibbs. But guess what? This is now also Baltimore. And boy oh boy, did their reworked offensive
6:49line look good in week one, too.
6:50>> It's not as simple as this, but Brandon Staley's kind of been okay with getting kind of gashed if that means that he's
6:55preventing explosives through the air.
6:57Um, we don't know if Slower is going to play yet or not, but if that's going to be the case, like that's all Derk Henry.
7:02Um, and I was talking to Nate Ty on the Football 301, my second recap show of Sunday nights. uh and he was talking
7:09about uh uh how the Ravens were getting to Dererick Henry runs in a more unique way with Declan Doyle and like that was
7:15like really beneficial. Uh and then over the last 33 games with Lamar Jackson since 2024, Derrick Henry is the RB5.
7:21He's averaging 106 rushing yards per game, almost a touchdown per game, 18 carries, the efficiency numbers, number one in rush yards over expected, number
7:28one in EPA per carry, number one in uh yards per carry, and they fed him 24 times uh last week as well. So, like
7:35this is this is a first round running back until proven otherwise.
7:38>> Totally. They also fed him a cool screen for 19 yards. Uh, if we just get one of those per game,
7:44>> that's that's freaking awesome.
7:46>> Yeah.
7:47>> So, yeah. I mean, we talked about it a ton on stats versus film. By the way, thank you all for watching and watching
7:51so much recently. If you're new around here, uh, leave a thumbs up, hit subscribe, join us on this journey. uh that most let's say new play callers
8:00with quarterbacks had some stutters, some stumbles, but Death Doyle uh might be shining up his resume as the next head coach across the league by like
8:08late October at this point.
8:10>> Yep.
8:11>> Ken Walker III, your guy, my guy as an audience, our guy. Uh S tier after one week.
8:20>> Yes, absolutely. I mean, the Chiefs are projected for 26 and a half points.
8:24They're touchdown favorites against the Colts. Uh the Colts just got lit up on the ground uh against Derrick Henry to the point that they're changing their
8:32green dot player on defense after the first week. The Colts said that they their communication was so bad. I think it's going to a safety if I remember
8:40correctly. So, lots of problems on the Colts defense right now. No problems for Kenneth Walker. The touches were outrageous. Uh he was the RB3. He had
8:49over 21 expected half PPR points. Uh they targeted him a couple times as well. Like this is this is going to be
8:57completely automatic and I was really impressed with the offensive line. Creed Humphrey is just like such a treat to watch. And then their undrafted free
9:04agent left tackle was like legitimately moving bodies. Like that's just that's the good stuff.
9:08>> Yeah. And it seems like there's still major questions u about Josh Simmons and when he's going to return. So Khalil
9:13Benson already doing that in week one is magnificent stuff for them.
9:17>> Oh yeah. Big time.
9:18>> Yeah. And look, we talked about it all draft season that when Ken Walker had played over 60% of snaps in games, uh,
9:25he averaged 17 and a half fantasy points per contest. And I highly doubt we'll see a single game this season of him
9:32below 60%. Uh, and you saw it. Like the reason that that's awesome and why he gets that number is because if he plays
9:38that many snaps, he's going to reel off one explosive and change the game and give us huge fantasy points. I did want
9:43to bring up Andy Reid in his comments real quick.
9:46quote, "For him to play the way he did, I thought it was spectacular. He was the main guy. Emmit Johnson did a nice job,
9:51too, when he had an opportunity to get in there, but those guys, both those guys are contact talented, so they got a
9:56lot of yards after contact."
9:57>> Yeah, very contact talented. That's a great fantasy team name.
10:00>> There it is. All right. Jonathan Taylor, also S tier.
10:05>> Um, yes, I I'll round up here. 14 games with Daniel Jones. He's the RB1 and RB2 overall usage and half PPR. uh last week
10:15I think was kind of like a nice sweet spot because Daniel Jones after watching the tape he is not fully himself like
10:21athletically but he's functional enough to like throw the ball down the field and they're just going to keep riding uh Jonathan Taylor. Maybe the reason for
10:28hesitation there is because they're projected for 20 points. They're touchdown dogs here. Uh but the Colts uh run game was was awesome. Uh and I I
10:37think they're going to run the ball even if they're trailing for a lot of this game. So I just think just kind of
10:41rounding up for Jonathan Taylor is pretty appropriate. I thought he was the best part of their offense uh after that first drive. He was still, you know,
10:47grinding out yards and still looking spry and nimble. Uh and this is though on the road at the Kansas City Chiefs.
10:53Okay, since your hesitation was there, your running back seven is Ashen Genty at the LA Chargers. Am I correct in putting him into a tier?
11:02>> Yeah, let's break the tie here. The Raiders are projected for 18 and a half points. That's 28. Uh the Chargers
11:07defense was not quite as good uh in week one without Jesse Mter. They're not that talented just like just looking at the
11:14depth chart and I think they really have to be better in communication than what they were in week one. Ashen Genty
11:20easily could be an S tier back in fantasy because of the way he was used in the um receiving game. A couple
11:26screens, a couple like choice routes. Uh he had like a return route down the football field. Uh and then he had that
11:32play action leak uh target that went for a touchdown, too. So like that's a that's a lot of receptions when they
11:37were winning. Uh this is a situation where they might be losing. So if if we're catching four, five, six passes a
11:43game, uh then all the rushing stuff's kind of like a cherry on top and he handled about 75% of the stuff on the
11:49ground. Mike Washington, I think, played well, but that's going to take a while to kind of ramp up if if it ever does.
11:54And Ashen Gentry looked so good last week that uh it just might not.
11:57>> On that note, uh this is from Clint Kubak. Genty was playing good football, so Mike Washington didn't get as many
12:04opportunities as maybe we would have thought going in. That's how those games go. you ride the hot hand. On top of
12:11that, I think preseason we viewed and everyone viewed the Chargers defense as good. Uh now without Jesse Mentor, uh it might not be as good. And you know, you
12:21even look at some of those defensive pieces and they look worse without Jesse Mentor coaching them. It kind of is that
12:26simple. And so while to me, you know, a lot of the Raiders success, I do want to caveat that by saying, "Hey, they played
12:34the freaking Miami Dolphins, you know, a team that is once again underdogs this week by 13 and a half points."
12:41>> Uh, I think we also learn more about the Raiders in week two more than we did in week one.
12:47>> I also did say on the Chargers defense, uh, Durwin James over 30 years old, he got absolutely cooked by, uh, Trey
12:53McBride. And then Khalil Mack is like what he's got 35 or whatever he is too.
12:57So like they're also aging on some of like the most important players over the last couple years that had that defense
13:02rolling as like a top five unit.
13:04>> Totally. And they're replacing Odaf Ooway who was awesome on the second face sacks with Hakee Meador who's a rookie albeit older. So there's going to be a
13:11falloff there too.
13:13>> James Cook is your running back eight also in the A tier. This is against the Detroit Lions. Uh this note from Rich
13:20Rebar. Josh Allen is 8 and one in Thursday games over his career. I think that's notable because we again we saw
13:29the Lions be great in week one. But despite that, the Buffalo Bills at home are four and a half point favorites here
13:36with nearly a team total of 30 points in this contest.
13:40>> Yep. Highest of the week at 29 and a half. uh the neutral pass rate went from more balanced up to more pass heavy um
13:48in week one with uh Joe Brady going to the head coaching spot that was against the Texans defense. The Lions defense I
13:54think's better at stopping the run than they are at stopping the pass. That said, the Lions defense is so bad at
14:00stopping the pass. I actually think it's a good spot for James Cook because there's probably just more chances to have uh red zone touchdowns.
14:06Unfortunately, Josh Allen had a tush push touchdown on a fourth and one later. Uh they did Josh Allen Wildcat stuff. Uh James Cook nearly uh broke a
14:15huge play and then he kind of fumbled the ball in open space. So there's gonna be huge games for James Cook. He looks
14:20still looked really awesome on tape to me. Uh it's just I don't think that he's going to lead the NFL in like rushing
14:26yards per game this year. I think he seems to be a little bit styled differently. So I think that he's going
14:29to be maybe more in this tier than that top tier. Um but this is a good spot for it.
14:34>> The Bills did average 9.6 6 yards per play on first down on the road in Houston, which is actually the most of
14:40any game since 2023. Um, with Ty Johnson inactive in week one, James Cook did run a route on 50% of dropbacks, which is
14:47good for running back 13, which, you know, is a good aspect of his game, but maybe not accentuating enough in the
14:54past. But at the same time, Hayden, like the drop back rate and just completing so many explosive passes down the field
15:01might take James Cook a couple notches versus where he has been a couple years a couple of years just from, you know,
15:08an overall pure opportunity standpoint.
15:11>> Yeah, I think like let's say three or four or fewer carries per game, I think he might add a target per game, but I I
15:16do think that you would rather have uh that rushing volume out there. So, very minor differences, but I think worth looking into. Yeah, Detroit did allow
15:24eight receptions to we know the Saints backfield last week. So, that is something to keep in mind here too with James Cook. Saquon Barkley is your
15:32running back nine. I'm going to put him also in a tier. Seven point favorites here at the Tennessee Titans. Uh he got
15:38hit behind the line of scrimmage way too often last week. There's a new left guard.
15:44>> As they say, you're only as good as your weakest link. And Hayden, from watching the tape, uh Lennon Dickerson was the
15:50weakest link on this Eagles offense in week one.
15:52It could only get better from week one at that left guard spot. Uh there was a couple unblocked like blitzers um in
15:58that game, but I don't think the Tennessee Titans defense is going to be doing what the Commanders were doing. Uh and the Titans did not have a good
16:03showing on defense. Brilan Allen and uh Bree Hall lit him up on the ground and uh Robert Hollik was not happy about
16:10that. Uh I will say with Saquon Barkley, the box scores did not indicate how involved he was as a receiver. There
16:16were four targets to him. One called back on on a a holding. there was a a dropped pass in the flat. Uh and one
16:22other thing that went sideways with Saquon Barkley, but a little bit more involvement in the ground game would help Saquon Barkley even things out.
16:29We're not going back to 2014, but I do think we're going to be way better than we were uh 2025.
16:34>> Yeah. The other part of that, as you mentioned, the Washington Commanders defense is a disciple of Brian Flores and the Minnesota Vikings. So, as much
16:45as we avoid or bring up how difficult it is to run on a Brian Flores defense, I don't know if we have said enough or
16:52mentioned this heading into it that couldn't we say that the same thing about the commanders and like that was part of it, especially with a new
16:57running scheme that Jordan Marada has talked about over and over and over again that Charmaine is bringing in. So, it's almost like a number of factors
17:03along with the left guard playing so poorly because he was banged up that to me I could see an explosion from Saquon
17:09Park in week two.
17:10>> Yeah, I could see that. Seven broken tackles last week. uh that one where he got uh down the football field like that
17:16looked that like a special player.
17:17>> Or maybe I'm just coping.
17:19>> Either one can happen.
17:21>> Javvante Williams is your running back 10. Also at here against the Washington Commanders.
17:27>> Yeah, definitely. I mean the the Cowboys are fourth in projected points. They should um beat up on the the commanders
17:33here. Uh there's just nobody really behind them. like they just signed Imari Di Marcado that was the backup and then they're using a fullback sometimes in
17:40like pass protection but he had 22 routes which is like a rock solid number. He had six targets and he was
17:47way more efficient. I think maybe something that from the offseason is everyone's like he was so bad as a receiver he's going to get replaced or
17:55it's he's going to positively regress as a receiver which he did in this one and then all of a sudden he's going to be a
18:00super smash in fantasy. though. Last year he was top 10 in usage. Last week he was RB9 in usage. The Cowboys are
18:08going to score a lot more points.
18:09They're going to run a lot more plays in this one. Um the Commanders aren't going to be quite as bad like we just talked
18:14about on defense. Sunny Styles was good.
18:15Nick Cross, their their strong safety, made a couple awesome plays there. Uh but still the starting point for the Commanders were uh they were fourth
18:22worst against fantasy running backs last year.
18:24>> Okay. The Los Angeles Chargers were the biggest disappointment in week one. The markets have them not being a disappointment in week two at a
18:33projected 25 points. So, as your running back 11 against the Las Vegas Raiders, what tier does Amaran Hampton fall into?
18:41>> I would still keep him in this tier. I mean, the Chargers projected for for too many points. He still had what, 75% of
18:48the um running back carries. Katon Mitchell got in there in the first half, so it wasn't like just like garbage time. Uh he was out there. The center
18:55and right guard are gonna be terrible.
18:56and the left guard wasn't even that bad in the run game, but that was a rotation I don't feel very confident with that.
19:01So, they're going to have to get a little bit creative. Omarian Hampton, I don't think he's a first- round talent.
19:07He's really fast. He's really big. He's going to have some wow moments. That one touchdown he had was awesome, but there's just like him kind of turning
19:13the corner just like doesn't quite hit the same here. So, um and also zero targets. So, it was the one of the
19:19lowest running back usage games um uh of week one. And that needs to change for him to stay as a top 12 fantasy
19:27receiver. I I or running back. I really think that will change, but that was shocking to have zero targets.
19:32>> Okay, Kairen Williams is your running back. 12, Btier, A tier. Where are we going here? Um against the New York
19:39Giants. I will say you are three spots ahead of consensus rankings here, which I think is pretty important when we're talking about Kiran.
19:45>> Yeah, I'm guess I'm a little bit surprised by that. The Rams are projected for 27 points here. uh we can
19:51keep him in in the A tier as well. Um >> the Giants melted out the clock uh last week against uh the the the Cowboys. I
20:01think that's like maybe the possible concern facing the Giants. It's their their defense is definitely getting a little bit better. Harbaugh's like put
20:06too much emphasis on stopping the run.
20:08Arl Reese can fly downhill. At the same time, Arl Ree did uh uh allow a receiving touchdown and that's where Kairen Williams has been uh like
20:17especially important. There's been games where they'll get Kiren Williams on option routes or kind of leak him out against linebackers. I can see them
20:23testing Aral Reese as special of a player he is. He's still like kind of learning the position. He did get lost a
20:28couple times. So, uh I'm just rounding up because the Rams are projected for uh the fifth most points on the week. Yeah,
20:34just two second half drives for the Dallas Cowboys last week indicates what you're saying with one their defense not being able to stop anyone and also how
20:42the Giants can kind of ball control as much as they want to at times when it's it's running hot. You know, a Twitter
20:49follower I think put it really great with Kairen Williams who last week in a one-sided blowout loss, the back field was really one-sided in his favor. Um,
20:58but here's what it is, right? It's really simple. If the Rams score 28 points and they're projected for around that much in this game, Kairen likely
21:06scored a touchdown. And if they are tied or trailing, as we know in week one and last season, Kairen Williams plays 75%
21:14snaps. So, it's almost you get either a touchdown or like really high Karen usage in either department. Yeah, I think it's like kind of prevents Blake
21:22Horn like prevents him from being like a a weekly like top five option, but he's kind of kind of he's gonna hover like
21:28around this RB12 border depending uh on the matchup. So, he was the RB8 on RB12 usage and 25 last week RB16 on RB19
21:37usage. I'm just going to park him right between that.
21:40>> Devon Achan at the San Francisco 49ers.
21:43Uh this is your running back 13. The Dolphins were one of three teams without a snap inside of the 10 yard line. We
21:50know Han can score long touchdowns, but that's also important for him to score other touchdowns. Is this A tier or Btier?
21:56>> Let's go A tier. Um once again, uh the team total is at 16 points. That's obviously very very bad. It's very bad.
22:04Um Kaden Proctor's got to play better. I I did think that the rest of the offensive line was like okay. They're
22:09still trying to like figure out when they're getting their tight ends kind of sweeping across. They had their um their fullback out there. Like some of that
22:14stuff like wasn't quite hitting quite as well um in week one here. Um that said, he still caught plenty of passes uh in
22:23this game, five of them. Uh in the fourth quarter, they had uh 19 plays.
22:28They passed the ball on 18 of 19 of them. The good news is Devon Han caught three passes like kind of in in that
22:34script. So like that's going to like keep his floor high. I don't think that they're going to uh average 50 plays per
22:40game this season, you know, and that was like the problem. It's it's not going to be much. might hear >> they
22:46>> I mean that hey we're coming off the 49ers defense shutting down the LA Rams and now they get the Miami Dolphins on
22:54extra days to prepare for this one I'll be a big travel from Australia.
22:58>> Yeah I I was like the good news is is there was a couple checkdowns from from Malik Wills. I think even better than
23:03that they did design targets to him and the >> but it's also Fred Warner protect like at the linebacker spot.
23:09>> Oh yeah for sure. I mean should I have him as my RB20? Yeah, man. This is already a pretty steep drop off from
23:14where like his ADP was. So, >> yeah. I'm just worried if his ADP was correct, I guess, is what I'm saying.
23:19Um, all right. Next up is DeAndre Swift as running back 14. A fantastic game for him in week one. Was one of our favorite
23:28picks in that next tier of running backs and we had him at the top of that grouping as well. This is though against
23:35that Minnesota Vikings defensive front.
23:37So, are we going with A tier or starting B tier? Uh I want one more A tier here with DeAndre Swift. Uh
23:44>> greedy >> from week five on last year. That was uh when their buy was. He's now the RB9 and RB15 usage. He's only had a 44% rush
23:54share um over that stretch as well because Kyle Nunga gets out there. Caleb Williams obviously has been balling on the ground as well. Uh this is a
24:01challenging matchup because the Vikings uh you just don't catch passes against them. They had uh the fewest amount of receiving guards to running backs uh
24:10since 2025 once you adjust for their schedule. Um you can kind of hit them on the ground a little bit there. Uh and I
24:18kind of just want to keep leaning into that. 26 and a half points for the Chicago Bears. Just run right behind uh
24:24Darnell Wright and see what happens there. So I think he's a boom bust RB2.
24:28Um but man, if the Bears are going to look like what they did in uh last week, even with the rotation, like this is
24:33going to be a lot of fun. Yeah, the the Bears right now are projected for 26 and a half points against this Vikings
24:39defense. Obviously, they put up 59 points on the board last week. Uh just Ben Johnson's comments here on DeAndre Swift. Quote, "He's always been a super
24:48explosive guy. I think what's happened over the course of his career is just his understanding of what's going on in the running game, where he needs to hit
24:54it. People, I think, sometimes put him in a box as more of a scat back, but he's really an all-purpose back as far
24:58as I'm concerned. I'm just really proud of how he's grown to become at this point. I mean, that is putting it
25:03perfectly based on even our conversations of DeAndre Swift over the last three years.
25:07>> Uh, I'm in a Dynasty League that I happened to win last year and I sent a first round pick for DeAndre Swift and
25:13after they extended him, it looks like I'm uh I'm on the winning side.
25:17>> There you go. What you'd rather have DeAndre Swift at the 112 than Nicholas Singleton when he was going in drafts
25:22this spring?
25:23>> Pretty much. That's what happened.
25:25>> Okay. Uh, Bree Hall then, how fitting is the start of the B tier. This is against the Green Bay Packers. Hayden, I think
25:32you can make whatever conclusions you want from Bree's week one usage. Like he was running back 16 in snap percentage.
25:38Uh there were three snaps inside the five yard line. Bree Hall played all three. But at the same time, Brilen Allen had a short yardage run on fourth
25:46down that went for a touchdown that was negated by a penalty. And he also played four of six snaps on third and fourth
25:52and one. So I don't expect Bree Hall to be like a 75% player. So, at least we don't have to worry about Isaiah Davis,
25:59but at some areas we do have to work with Brayley Allen here, too.
26:03>> Yeah, I saw the same exact thing. I think it's still a win that Isaiah Davis is like not going to be out there
26:07because Brilen Allen's only going to be so effective in passing situations. I think that Bree Hall in negative game script will catch the ball um with Gino
26:14Smith. And then Bree Hall just looked really good. Um and the offensive line looked really good as well. And he's going to hit some explosives. So, like
26:21he's not going to have the true Bellcow stuff like the other RB1s. Would it be that surprising if Bree Hall is the RB11
26:28in fantasy this year? I don't think it would be that surprising. The Packers um without Micah Parsons have been absolutely gashed on the ground. So
26:36Jordan Mason, Aaron Jones combined for 100 yards and two rushing touchdowns last week. Over the last four games against the Packers dating back to 2025,
26:43they're allowing 161 rushing yards per game. That's the third fewest. So Jets still projected for only 20 points, but they're typically projected for 16. So,
26:52I think that I want to be ranking Bree Hall kind of above where he's been finishing over the last couple years.
26:56>> Yeah, the Yahoo Expert League, I need Bree Hall to score as the running back 11. I mean, I took him as my third
27:02running back in the flex instead of like Garrett Wilson, for example, or or other wide receivers. Uh, so I have to have
27:08that to happen and I have to have three stars in Saquon and Ken Walker and Bruce this season in order to win that one.
27:13That's for sure.
27:15>> Yeah, you ended men's high. I still can't believe it.
27:18>> Truly incredible stuff.
27:20Uh he did have fewer routes than Brillin Allen too. So it's weird. It's this weird dynamic, but we got to figure it
27:25out. Uh this Packers defense, you can take advantage of them, I think, right now, too. Like both Jordan Mason and Aaron Jones rushed for touchdowns last
27:32week. Think you know which players are about to have a big Sunday? Put that fantasy football knowledge to work.

28:20running back 16. We love Chase Brown during draft season. Hayden, this is three spots though below consensus as running back 13. Uh this is at the
28:30Houston Texans. Are you expecting a big Texans defensive rebound here?
28:34>> Yeah, definitely. So, and they stopped James Cook last last week. It was everything else that wasn't working. So yeah, like I have very positive notes
28:41about Chase Brown's usage, RB6 and RB5 usage in the last nine games with Joe Burrow dating back to 2025, even on a
28:47bigger sample than that. He's been a top 10 fantasy running back. He handled 71% of the snaps. He was the RB4 and
28:53expected points last week. 18% target share, six of them, and a lot of that stuff was just kind of like throwing
28:58quickly to the flats. It wasn't like a checkown. It was like almost like manufactured touches to him. So like yeah, the profile is great. the Texans
29:05defense is the second best defense against the run uh over the the last year and like the offensive line is getting a little bit better. I like that
29:12the the Bengals have two blocking tight ends now, but I mean we have to just like tip our cap to the the Texans. The
29:19Bengals are 20th and projected points this week. So, a lot of the running backs around him are either projected for a lot more points um or they don't
29:25have two superstar wide receivers that are going to be stealing touchdowns from.
29:29>> Right. I will say the theory of the pick held true with Chase Brown last week.
29:32like even when the Bengals struggled a little bit offensively, he plays so many snaps and catches so many passes that at
29:38worst you should be fine. You know, he's just like in too good of an environment to be, I think, a big loser for you.
29:44>> Yes, this will be the lowest I have him ranked all year.
29:47>> Okay. Bucky Irving is your running back 17. Is this still Btier for you? I mean, this is against the Cleveland Browns is
29:52eight and a half point favorites and we saw the ideal Bucky Irving usage last week. If I'm being honest, like Bucky
29:58Everything probably should be ahead of Chase Brown, too. But I'm waiting for the Shawn Tucker um injury because that's like the one thing I still don't
30:04know for sure is if Shawn Tucker gonna be like a goal line vulture this year or not. We didn't get that answered last
30:10week. The Buccaneers did not have a goal line uh attempt. Um but Kenny Gainwell was like not that involved. Bucky Irvin
30:17caught a bunch of passes in negative game script. Now he's going to run the ball a ton. Looking at the the data from
30:22last week, the Buccaneers uh were really runheavy early on in that game, then they couldn't be uh run heavy because Gamecript got away from him quickly. But
30:32against the Bang or against the Browns here, like he's going to run the ball probably 15 to 20 times in this one. And
30:38he looked really good. Like there's there's really like when he's fully healthy, he really does remind me of James Cook. Um and this offensive line
30:44is pretty sweet. So I think that he's if we get goal line carries, I think he's he has a chance to be a top 15 running
30:48back. Yeah, he he looked as close as he possibly could to that Liam Cohen season in in week one. Hopefully that continues
30:55and this is the right opponent to stack really good games back toback as well.
31:00David Montgomery is your running back 18. This is against the Cincinnati Bengals who did really well to stop the run last week with their additions and
31:08just overall improvement on defense. On his 20 runs, Dave Montgomery was hit at or behind the line of scrimmage on 14 of
31:16them. So, the touchdowns, >> you know, make that stat line look amazing. Obviously, the receiving touchdown incredibly helped. Um, but as
31:24we talked about in stats versus film, like the snaps were 5050, but he did have five touches inside the 10 compared
31:29to zero for 40 months.
31:31>> Yes. Uh, that was three in a row though because he didn't get the first couple in because he was getting hit at the
31:36line of scrimmage. 16 of 19 carries went for under five yards, removing that goal line touchdown as well. Um, 50% snap
31:43rate. He's when he's on the field, he's like going to get the ball. Also, like the snap rate doesn't matter all that
31:48much, but Woody Marks I thought did play pretty well here. I think uh point taken, the Bengals defense just looked a
31:53little bit better. I I don't think it's going to be a great defense, like obviously not, but when you have Dexter
31:57Lawrence and those two linebackers were so so behind last year, they just look so inexperienced. Like those guys will play a little bit better. You add a
32:05safety. Um so like this Bengals defense is not going to be like the worst unit in the NFL. Uh Texans projected for
32:11almost 25 points. That's 11th here as well. So, uh, definitely like this is what an RB2 looks like in fantasy.
32:18>> Yes. And when the Texans are projected for 25 points, probably means Dave Montgomery is going to score a touchdown.
32:24>> Yes. Yeah. Like back to the Detroit Lions days. Okay. Next is Aaron Jones.
32:29And we have our first running back consolidation here. Uh, the news hit just before we started recording this that Jordan Mason is going to go on
32:38injured reserve with finger surgery.
32:41Hayden, he was running back 31 prior to this. So, I guess you're believing that Aaron Jones is going to get at least
32:49what 65% of the work on the road against the Chicago Bears here.
32:52>> Yeah, probably. So, I don't think he's going to go into full bellcow work just based off his injury history and his
32:57size and age and all that type of stuff.
33:00But back in 2024, he was half PPR's RB20 per game. Last year, definitely a disaster. RB35 on a per game basis, but
33:08that was because the quarterback play was so bad. Um, I thought that Aaron Jones like looked fine enough. He's like not like one of the best running backs
33:14in the league. He's not completely completely washed either and he should be better early on in the season. And the the players behind him are just like
33:21too unproven. Like I'm very curious to see if they're going to use their rookie um out there or if it's going to be kind
33:27of more like like veterans off the street. So um they were really runheavy in week one. And that's something I want
33:34to pay attention to because when you listen to the the Vikings uh coaching staff, they talk about like their offensive line's like actually really
33:41good. And in years prior, like they didn't trust their offensive line. Maybe that's why they were so pass heavy, but this might be a maybe a little bit more
33:47balanced of an offense. And I mean, I've seen Aaron Jones be a top 20 running back for for too many years to not give
33:53him a chance out of here.
33:55>> Okay. Is Cam Scaboo in Btier?
33:58>> Uh let's move him down. Let's move him down.
34:02>> Okay. So I think we're going to be pretty fat here on the C and D tier. So Cam Scataboo's at the LA Rams obviously
34:09coming back from Australia, but you know what they chose to do coming in 24 hours before. Hopefully their bodies don't have to adjust as much, but they need a
34:16big rebound performance uh defensively.
34:18And you know, Harbaugh was asked how you know the Giants were able to be so good offensively. He said, "Well, I think it
34:25probably started with Scataboo. He was running really, really hard, really, really well. set the tempo, brought the energy juice, thought his reads were
34:33really good. That's exactly what we want to hear with Scat.
34:37>> You know, I'm convinced. Let's Let's put some respect. Let's put him in the B tier here. Let's put him in the B tier.
34:42Um I agree. Like I thought he ran the ball really really well in that game.
34:47He's like very clearly going to get the ball 15 times whether they're winning, losing, or it's a tie. Um I don't think
34:53that Aaron Donald's going to play.
34:55There's that's kind of like a mystery.
34:56We'll learn we'll learn later. Even if he does play, he's going to be on a pitch count. No Miles Garrett here. So,
35:00it's still a tough matchup. They're still projected to lose by seven points.
35:03I'm very curious to see if they're going to throw the ball to Cam Scaboo or if it's like be very defined where
35:07Singleary is going to catch the balls in the flat like he did in week one. And Scato, they're saving his body so they
35:12can like so he can headbutt guys uh in the A gap, which he did uh relentlessly in week one. So, I think that's going to
35:20be the one thing. If he catches passes, he can be the RB12 this year. If he doesn't catch passes, he's going to be
35:24the RB21. Um and we just don't know yet.
35:27These are your stand your ground picks presented by DraftKings. Build your lineup around the players you believe in and get your picks in with DraftKings
35:35Daily Fantasy Sports. And that name today is one of your favorite calls of the summer, Chuba Hubard as running back 21. He is a few spots behind in
35:46consensus rankings. This is on the road at the Atlanta Falcons. We just saw the Panthers post a ton of points, Hayden,
35:53and they should be able to do that again in a matchup that they have done that in previous seasons with worst offenses.
35:59>> Chiva Hubard's lit up the Falcons in previous uh starts, 103 and and 76 total yards in his last two starts against the
36:06Falcons. They're down both their starting edge rushers right now. The betting markets have Chuba Hubard as the RB 17 in total yards here. And the
36:15Panthers are 16th in projected points at 23 despite being on the road. Gamecript could be on their side because they're facing Cooper Rush here. And just
36:24rewinding the clock on Chuba Hubard back in 2024, not that long ago, >> he was the half PPR's per game RB12 on
36:31RB7 usage. Then you look at the playoff loss last year against the Rams. 17 opportunities in that one. Scores two touchdowns. Then last week in week one,
36:4113.9 expected half PPR points. That's RB 15. He finishes the RB9. He handled both goal line attempts. John the Brooks played just a little bit, but not even
36:49like in the passing situations. He caught that one uh broken play down the field, but it was not like Chuba Hubard
36:55can't catch passes uh in this offense.
36:57There's really not there's not many negative notes you can say about Chubbert right now. Like this ranking might be too low.
37:03>> And with the Panthers offensive line, as long as Rob Hunt and Damen Lewis are in there, the running game works. you know,
37:10y >> last season it broke down because then Brady Christensen had to pop in. He was good, but then they went to like their
37:16third and fourth guards at both spots.
37:19And so if both those guards are in there, plus Monroe Freeling was moving people during week one on top of this.
37:25>> Not a surprise.
37:26>> Uh then yeah, Chuba Hubard is truly one of those backs that was what in the running back 30 range, like 33 overall.
37:35and he should be a top 24 running back for as long as the split happens. And then obviously when the Panthers are two
37:42and a half point favorites on the road like they are in this one, running back 21 makes a ton of sense.
37:46>> It's on Jonathan Brooks to to make this uh an actual debate.
37:49>> And if you're able to get him that deep in running backs in your draft, then Chuba Hubard is like an auto flex for
37:56you among all the like mind melting conundrums at wide receiver. You just get to have Chuba Hover in your flex and
38:03have three running backs in your starting lineup. Pretty easy. Yep. Free parking. Free parking. All right. Next is Travis Achan. Unfortunately, this is
38:11another conversation. This is at the Baltimore Ravens. Hayden, he was running back 18 in snap percentage in week one.
38:18I gave my theory on the week one weirdness. I don't know if I asked you what yours is.
38:22>> I have no theory. I'm I'm I'm perplexed.
38:25Uh CJ Donaldson was out there in pass protection. That's an undrafted free agent rookie. Now, Adrian's never been good in pass protection. So, I I can
38:32somewhat understand that one. Kendrey Miller going like snap for snap on early downs with with Travis Aan. That made no sense. Um game script got away from him
38:42uh in that game. Travis Han at least I think had a season or a careerhigh in receptions in that one to kind of like
38:48back door uh into like an RB2 finish.
38:50He's going to have to do that again because they're uh also uh projected to lose by eight and a half points in
38:57Baltimore against Kyle Hamilton and those guys. That's going to be an issue.
39:01Um >> I don't know. I I I I guess I hope your theory is correct that he's just like playing through something, but he's not
39:07on an injury report. So like I don't know. I've heard clips from them like their offensive coordinator and their play call and obviously the GM just
39:15signed him. They're like this guy is awesome. And then like week one comes here and like what do they say about
39:20Kendrick Miller? Is Kendrick Miller like a >> quote on CJ Donaldson. CJ did a really good job through training camp and
39:26preseason. He's got a nice special teams role. He can obviously play in third down protection. I think he's done a nice job with that. and then he was able
39:33to play some snaps in some short yard situations. I think this is all positive for him. On top of that, Kre Miller had
39:40both backfield touches inside of the 10 yard line, converted that eight yard touchdown. Travis Achan was running back 24 in percent of dropbacks played in
39:50week one at like 39%. And then on top of this, like Tyler Shuck and the offense have to play well from the first series
39:57if they have a slow start like they did last week. This isn't the Lions defense that you're facing. It is the Baltimore
40:02Ravens defense and they're not going to let you back in it like the Saints did last week. So, uh yeah, just like alarm
40:09bells all over this one. I hopefully we get one of these matchups that like settles it all down and it gets back to
40:14normal here.
40:14>> And Alvin Chimera could play it this week. I don't know that if if it's going to happen or not. Um that was without
40:18Alvin Chimera. Um so very odd situation.
40:21I I would double check over o over the cap making sure that they did just pay him all that money. They they did pay
40:27him all that money. I I don't know why.
40:29Raandre Stevenson is your running back 23. This is a few spots below consensus at running back 20. It sounds like Trevan Henderson might play this week
40:37more so than last week. Uh he's doing more in practice each day. Is there going to be an alteration if Trivon is
40:45in or out or is this anticipate him playing?
40:47>> This is anticipating Trayvon out there.
40:49So maybe that's why I'm a little bit lower in consensus rankings there.
40:51Obviously, I'd move him up uh definitely probably like ahead of like, you know, Aaron Jones, David Montgomery, Bucky Irving tier uh without um Trayvon. Um
41:00I'm expecting Trayvon to get in there and mix in behind Raandre Stevenson.
41:04Probably maybe not as drastic as a split uh in the postseason where Trayvon like literally had like three fantasy points per game and Raandre was kind of like,
41:11you know, the RB 28 on a per game basis.
41:14Um matchup is like pretty solid here.
41:16Steelers um are only projected for 18 points. So, even without AJ Brown, the Patriots are expected to win by five and
41:22a half. So, game scripts on his size.
41:24Raonder is a good player. Um, and the offensive line, uh, I thought that they got their ass kicked, but that was also
41:30against the Seahawks and, uh, they do a lot of funky stuff. Um, so like, you know, the Steelers are also they have
41:36some awesome defensive lineman, too. So, um, I think he's more of like a flex play than an RB2.
41:41>> I would hesitate for anyone to make conclusions about an offense and especially a quarterback's play against the Seattle Seahawks. I mean, the best
41:48quarterbacks out there from Josh Allen to what we saw with Drake May to, you know, Bryce Young have really struggled against the Seattle Seahawks defense.
41:56>> Just to put that in perspective, I was watching the Drake May film there. They had a single high safety in the middle
42:01of the field pre- snap. He rotated down, not down. He rotated all the way to the flat at the snap and then the guy that
42:08was in the flats was all of a sudden playing all the way back. Like when they're rotating stuff, it's not like,
42:13oh, he's rotating into the box. Like, no, he's he's playing the flat. Like you can't you have no idea what you're going
42:18to see against the Seahawks right now.
42:19>> Ready for a take? Is Mike McDonald new era Bill Bich?
42:23>> Yes.
42:24>> Except like smiles more and has like some level of a personality like and is kind to reporters, you know?
42:30>> Yeah. Yeah. Agreed. Tweet it.
42:33>> I bet Mike McDonald would be really good on a television show. I'm just saying.
42:38All right. Next is Bashel Tutin as running back 24. Uh this is at the Denver Broncos, which is notable because
42:48Toutton broke a number of tackles, created extra yards, and now against the Broncos defense that missed the most tackles in week one, but who knows if
42:56that's going to carry over here.
42:57>> Yeah, it was like shocking to watch the Broncos play that bad uh tackling. It was just like not something they've ever
43:03done before. Um so we'll see there. Uh Basel Tun had a had he definitely had a good game. He I thought he missed a
43:09couple reads, but in general like I after re listening to Sassil, I was being too critical of him. He he broke
43:14too many tackles to be that critical. He did some of the basial tune and stuff that I don't love, but when you're that
43:19athletic, you're going to be making people miss like you live with it. And that's exactly what Liam Con saying uh after the game. So Chris Rodriguez um
43:25played some I think they had the same amount of snaps going into halftime. In the fourth quarter, a complete blowout, which I'm not expecting in this one.
43:32Jacksonville's actually expected to lose by a couple points. Um they really gave Basel Ton a bunch of carries at the end
43:39to give him a little bit more experience. Um, and yeah, I I'm still just don't know who's gonna be the goal
43:44line back. If I knew that Bel's gonna get half of them, I would move him up.
43:48I'm guessing it's still gonna be some Chris Rodriguez there, but I think it'll probably be a committee um all across the field. It might be difficult this
43:54week, but in the future, like I wish Bachel Tutin was given like the first and second levels a little bit more,
43:59maybe with some better wide receiver blocking. And so then the first tackle he has to break is at the second or
44:04third level because even in this pass game against the Browns, if he had been able to avoid one more defender, then
44:12he's very close to like a 40 yard, you know, and we haven't really seen a 40 yard yet from Bashel Tutin, but I I
44:19think it's on the way from him >> definitely. So he's way too athletic.
44:22He's going to have those moments. I will say Jacksonville's offensive line is just not very good. You know, they they held they held their own against P in
44:28pass protection. They it was not like he had wide open lanes on the ground there.
44:32And I think we signed up. We knew that was going to be the case and that was the case last year as well. So, um yeah,
44:37>> Jeremiah Love is your running back 25.
44:40From a talent perspective, this is much higher. Again, I'll keep bringing this up. Michael Thor handled Bree Hall during his rookie season. That was with
44:48a slow start 12 8 14 touches in the opening three games. Kind of sound like the floor liked the volume and the
44:55number of snaps that Jeremiah Love got last week. So it really might take until like the fourth game for Jeremiah Love
45:00to be the 1A bellcow type stuff.
45:03>> Yep. I just be patient with Jeremiah Love. I think he's firmly a flex. He's not even an RB2 right now because Algier
45:10um is going to get some of the goal line work. Jeremiah Love looked awesome though. He's going to catch passes in
45:14negative game scripts. last week they were winning by so much so early. Uh and now they're three and a half dogs to the
45:22Seahawks. Now the problem is like it's the Seahawks. So like >> correct >> nobody scores against the Seahawks. Um so like Raander Stevenson was like an
45:29RB2 as a bellcow against the Seahawks.
45:32Jeremiah Love is not going to be a bellcow. So like this is like a flex.
45:35And I do think that there are some teams out there where he could be a bench candidate in this one. Um but I'm really
45:41hoping he just keeps ripping off big plays and makes this one like a no contest. Alier. Can we talk about our
45:45death league for a moment because I was doing waiverss last night? And the death league like put me in a spiral. Nate Ty,
45:52shout out Nate. Uh I think faced me and he got eliminated first and his three players and this is why it was Jamar
46:01Chase and Coulson Loveland and he also had Jeremiah Love like and then Quinton Judkins and and Jameson Williams. This is what like a 14 team death league on
46:09top of it.
46:10>> Yes. Yeah.
46:10>> Um, but then like when you see those players on waiverss and you have a $1,000 fab budget, >> it's like, oh, I just want to spend all
46:19of it on Jamar Chase and then a quarter of it on Jeremiah Love and and all that type of stuff. I did a little bit of
46:25research and everyone that has played in these leagues before, Hayden, says you can never, and I mean never, deliver half of your budget on one player. Uh,
46:33because then the teams and the waiverss get even better as a season goes along and you need to have the budgets for
46:39that. And so I end up under bidding everyone. Whereas what I think Chase went for like $490, Jeremiah Love went for like $250 and
46:48then you picked up Coulson Love for 101 or something like >> Yeah. How I'm handling that. And by the way, you guys should play these leagues
46:54on um Yahoo death leagues. Uh sorry uh I'm canceled. Uh I wanted Coulson Lin because I punted off of a position. I
47:03punted off tight ends and there's only a couple tight ends that I felt good about. So that's how I kind of handle it
47:07is like, okay, punt off one position and then the second that guy is available like go after it. So that's how that's
47:13how I'm handling. I'm glad I got level there.
47:15>> That's I'm going to get even weirder once like half the league is gone and then you're just going to have so many
47:22people on waiverss on top of this. So >> I'll keep you guys updated. This first time for me playing that and it was
47:28>> same >> mindmelting. Next is Jadarian Price. We had a long conversation about him on stats versus film. Uh, I'm hoping
47:36there's something about, hey, they played on Wednesday in the opener, rookie debut, all that type of stuff, and maybe and he looked awesome and so
47:45maybe he gets a couple more snaps here and there. Uh, or it's exactly the same workload that Kin Walker the third got
47:52last year. That was RB22 and RB28 usage uh with with Zack Charbanet healthy for for Kenneth Walker. That Seahawks team was putting up 30 points. Uh, they're
48:00right now projected for 22 and a half.
48:02So, I think like you're hoping for the Kenneth Walker numbers from the regular season last year for Price. Uh, it made
48:08me nervous that Emanuel Wilson played four snaps. Three of them were when he was subbed in for plays with two or
48:12fewer yards to go. Like, that just can't happen. That was like the shocking part of it. I'm not that surprised that he
48:17didn't play any snaps on third and fourth downs. Um, but he looked he looked awesome. So, um, you're you're hoping here like we're we're firmly in
48:25flex terrace right now. I will say he's still projected for 74 and a half uh yards uh total yards here. How many wide
48:31receivers project for 74 and a half yards? Like it's probably 13 of them. So he's still like better than the wide the
48:37fancy wide receiver that you want to play here.
48:39>> Next is Jaylen Warren, your guy running back 27 here. This is at the New England Patriots. Um what do you want to say
48:48about this backfield? Because again, it was basically 50/50 this past week, but you're still in the camp of holding out and believing that Jaylen Warren is is
48:56going to earn a kind of larger piece or let's say the more valuable piece of this.
49:00>> Yeah, I think it's just more valuable. I think he's more likely to catch a couple passes. I I think that he's a better
49:05football player. Um but the problem this week is it's going to be a committee until proven otherwise. Um and they kind
49:11of like rotated like full drives. Um and the Steelers are projected for 18 points. They did not have a clean showing last week. Uh Rico Dael had an
49:218% success rate on the ground. Like that's Rico Dow is not an 8% success rate rusher. Like that they had just
49:26straight up issues uh on offense. Um and it's just a much tougher matchup against the the Patriots. At least they the
49:34Patriots don't have like Tonga this year, but they still just want to put a bunch of guys up in the box and they
49:38have uh Christian Gonzalez against DK Metaf and like everything else was like a little bit, you know, hit and miss.
49:44Yeah, they were top three neutral pass rates. So, Mike McCarthy had this quote.
49:48This is from Mike Nuggets, by the way.
49:50Excellent resource. Quote, "You definitely got to give your passing game a little more opportunity this time of the year if you think you're going to
49:55come out here and throw it in January.
49:58So, I'm cognizant of that. But, I definitely would like to be north of 25 carries each and every week, closer to
50:0430 plus running the ball if I was going to draw up the perfect game. So theoretically he wants to run the
50:10football more but in practicality last week he did not at all.
50:16>> No I I hate the target number that we have to hit as total carries in a game.
50:22Turns out you run the ball more when you have a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter. It's like typically the best
50:26teams do run the ball a little bit more.
50:27It's not because they were running the ball the entire game.
50:30>> Okay. Is Quinn Chan Judkins at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as your running back 28?
50:35Is this still Ctier just because he's gonna get so much volume or let's say the largest market share of volume in
50:40this category? Probably >> I would go Dtier. I would say wow >> you can put him in the flex but look
50:48>> they're projected for 16 and a half points and this is a passfunnel defense with Vea. Um if you're going to nitpick
50:55the the Buccaneers is last week Chase Brown had a couple runs like right at Ruben Bane where he was just getting
51:03annihilated. like maybe there's like a weak spot here, but I just don't trust the Browns. The Browns offensive line I thought was still a mess. Quinn Sean's
51:10good. There's no Dylan Samson, but unfortunately Quinchan like did not like increase his role that much. Like they just put Rocket Sanders in the Dylan
51:18Samson role. Yeah, maybe they'll maybe they'll change that like kind of as they game plan and like try to get Quinchon
51:23more involved. But he's he's never been like this awesome receiver. He's kind of been this kind of early down guy and you
51:29can only give him so many touches coming off that injury. So, I think he's a low-end flex in in half PPR.
51:35>> Yeah. I think they also promoted Julio McGlaughlin from the practice squad as well and he's of that styling of a back
51:42on top of it. Okay. So, we basically have escaped flex consideration territory is what you're telling me. In an ideal world.
51:49>> Yes, in an ideal world. Now, some of our subscribers don't live in an ideal world.
51:53>> Okay. Marshon Lloyd is your running back 29. Uh, I said in stats versus film that I still need to be proven if he's more
52:01than like a replaceable replacement level back. Uh, but hey, now I'll add that this is his real week one at the
52:07New York Jets. This is not against a Brian Flores defense where, you know, Chris Brooks led all running backs with 20 pass protection snaps in week one.
52:15That's why he was a starter and why he played so much. If that continues here into week two, then you have like major
52:19problems if you drafted Marshall.
52:21>> I just feel way better about this spot than the last one. Uh, they're projected for 24 points. are expected to win here.
52:27You don't have Chaos and Brian Flores out there. Marshon Lloyd. He's not my favorite player, but he is really explosive and like there is a chance
52:35that he can catch the ball in the flats and like take off. Um and uh I still think that he would probably get the
52:40goal line touch over Chris Brooks. U I'm not positive about that. We didn't see any Caleb Johnson. I do wonder like, you
52:46know, there's only a couple couple more weeks left most likely until Jacobs gets back. Like at some point they're probably going to get Caleb Johnson
52:51involved a little bit. Maybe that happens here. So, I don't feel great about the spot. And then the big news is
52:57the Packers interior offensive line.
52:59Like, you can put it up there with the Titans and the or it's worse. The interior offensive line's worse than the
53:04Titans. It's it's as bad as it gets. Um, and that's not going to change.
53:08>> Comment on guys your running back 30 against the Vikings defense for missing the preseason. Hayden, he certainly looked fast for
53:14>> Yep.
53:15>> and faster than his 46 time speed, but again, we're basing against a Brian Flores defense here.
53:20>> Yep. you just uh you just don't catch the ball against the Vikings um um as running backs. Uh now that's not like
53:26the biggest thing for Kamunai. Um >> he's he's interesting because he has like a huge spike week like once every sixish games and then the other games
53:35like he's like the RB38. So if you're comfortable with that, that's that's fine. Uh last week RB32 and expected points uh as they were absolutely
53:45rolling against a team that you like want to run the ball against. Um, so kind of dropping him down from from
53:50there.
53:51>> Let's talk Bill. He's your running back 31 at the Dallas Cowboys and their defense that was run all over and passed all over last week. Um, what
54:02did you think of Bill when you went back and looked at the stats and watched him?
54:06>> Uh, I thought that he looked like laterally like explosive like relative to the other backs. The the part that makes me a little bit nervous is one, he
54:13was like very clearly subbed out in like obvious passing situations and that was kind of as expected. My problem with him
54:20just like for this week is making sure that like they're going to stay committed to him. His fumble I didn't realize how bad the the fumble was. Uh
54:29that happened with four minutes to go.
54:31His team recovers it. He gets subbed out and they're trying to win the game. Like this is like not garbage. They're down
54:37eight points and the rest of the game it's only um Katron Allen and it's only Rashad White. Yes, but like that's
54:45they're down eight and it was that play and then Jaka Crosky did not play a single snap after that. So like you
54:50could if you wanted to read this like that he was benched in that moment. Now I don't think he's going to be
54:54permanently benched here but like that's at least in the back of my mind. I still think it's just too low. Like let's put
54:58him uh ahead of Marshon Lloyd here. Um but it's not the cleanest um spot. uh in general just because like it's going to
55:08be a committee and like you at least have kind of like the what just happened in the fourth quarter of that game.
55:13>> So Ben Sandic who probably do this for us for fancy purposes did ask Dan Quinn directly about the fumble and if that's
55:19going to impact Bill and Dan Quinn said quote I think the ball security is definitely a premium for us. But then he
55:26immediately went to this that I love the twitch that you see with Bill. We can get him into the second and third level.
55:31He presents a real problem from a tackling standpoint. So, I just think the more reps he gets, more time he's seeing the blocks, the offensive line,
55:38knowing where he is, those are the things that just need time on task, but I'm pleased with what we've seen so far.
55:44So, if I'm reading that, then rather than going in on him about the fumble, it's more, hey, we actually need to play
55:49him more.
55:50>> Yeah, maybe. So, he he's had fumble issues in the past. Like, this is like kind of situations.
55:54>> If he fumbles this week, it's like real bad.
55:56>> Yes. Um, so I think we're most likely safe, but like we got on the recap show and was like, "Oh, he played 42% of the
56:02snaps and Kron made the threeack committee." Like that wouldn't be like the most shocking thing either.
56:06>> I also think and maybe it probably shouldn't. It also helps when you recover a fumble versus going to the other team just inherently, you know,
56:14and that helps. Josh Carly helped him out.
56:16>> Yes.
56:16>> Uh, okay. JK Dobbins versus the Jacksonville Jaguars is here. This Jaguars defensive line you, it's something you can't screw around with.
56:24Now obviously the Broncos offensive line has been quite good in recent years was not good in week one and so again this
56:31is on the road and JK Dobbins has to have a rushing touchdown to be relevant.
56:34It is that simple.
56:35>> They are projected for 24 points so like maybe by the end of the week I feel a little bit more comfortable to slide him
56:40up >> I really hope so. That would be great for my bags. Um we'll see about Jonah Coleman. They didn't play him at all.
56:47I'm guessing most the most likely outcome is that doesn't change this week. I think by the end of the season it will change, but like if they didn't
56:53play him in week one, I don't know why they would all of a sudden play him in week two. Jacksonville is they're gonna
56:58be very difficult to run the ball on that. It's it's as simple as that. Um uh and RJ Harvey was out there for not just
57:04receiving stuff. He had some um uh rush attempts early on in that game. So yeah, it was obviously the worst uh possible
57:11situation in terms of game script last week. That's not going to be the case in most games for JK Dobbins. But there's
57:17also like not that huge of a ceiling. I I will say he he did have one rep where he cut the ball outside and I thought
57:23that he looked really quick and I was like, "Oh, that looks like the same old JK Dobbins." Like he some somehow comes
57:28back from injury and like still looks like the same exact player every single time. So like credit credit to him for
57:33for being able to do that.
57:34>> The Jon Coleman point, you know, sometimes the real fantasy values are some of the players that get cut in week
57:41one. I'm not saying it's going to happen in week two, but again, if the Broncos offense struggles, which it might against the Jaguars defense, as we
57:49brought up in SAS versus film, they have to like try to inject something in there. And maybe over the course of the
57:55next few weeks, that could be Jonah Coleman because he is like the only one that like didn't play.
57:59>> Well, also JK Dobbins and RJ Harvey both got steamrolled in pass protection to get Bo Knicks killed like both of them.
58:06So, like even if even if they're running the ball pretty well uh and the team looks better, if like we have more pass
58:11protection issues from the running backs in in this game as as we had the last one, like they're going to have to get
58:15Jonah Coleman out there. That's like one of the calling cards for Coleman's uh profile, >> right? So, my point in that is Jonah
58:21Coleman was probably dropped for like Kalin Black, which makes sense or maybe some other wide receiver. So, if he's now available in your league, a
58:27speculative ad I think is potentially there if you missed out on some others.
58:32Uh okay, Tony Pard is I think the last backfield that we have not discussed yet. This is uh against the Philadelphia
58:39Eagles. Um I mean the Titans run game was just neutered from the jump >> over the last four games including last
58:47season and that's with Tai Spears mixing in at the end of last season. He's the RB 41 on RB37 usage.
58:56Titans are 31st in projected points.
58:58They looked miserable last week. I thought Cam Ward had a terrible showing and it was maybe even more concerning because I didn't think that the
59:06offensive line was even that bad. It was just like Cam Ward just like stunk. Uh scheme I don't think was that great
59:11either. Uh and this is a split. Ta Spears played uh like pretty much like every kind of other drive as we saw last
59:18year. And so Tony Per lost a bunch of snaps and touches in the second half of the game when they were losing by a lot.
59:24Now they get the Philadelphia Eagles.
59:26>> Yeah. It's over.
59:29Yeah. Uh, and again, they played the fewest amount of heavier personnel sets in the NFL in week one. And actually, two of their best runs came out of those
59:38heavier personnel looks. So, okay, I'm going to throw everyone else on the board here, Hayden. From Rico Dow to RJ
59:47Harvey to Blake Cororm to Kalin Black.
59:51Uh, I mean, you also have Trevian and Tyler Algier and Chris Rodriguez and Alvin Chimera and all sorts. Pick one of
59:58these names if you want to say anything about anyone here.
60:00>> I think these are not flex guys. These are kind of bench stashes and kind of wait and see. If I if I had to pick one,
60:08I guess it would be like RJ Harvey um getting him out in space against like the linebackers. It' be something like
60:13that. But uh because he did play like plenty enough and he's got some juice and they do do some of the red zone
60:18stuff and if we don't think they're going to be able to like run the ball at like the four yard line against that
60:22team, like maybe they get a little bit creative. So like that would be like my my dart throw. But if you're starting
60:27these guys, you're you're in trouble.
60:28>> I think Korm could be one, too, with the Rams projected for 27 and a >> half. Yep. Yeah. Same thing with Kaylin
60:34Black. Blake Cororm. Kaylin Black. It's, you know, they're winning by a lot and they're rotating drives >> cuz Corm was good in his carries last
60:41week. He's just not as trusted, especially in passing situations as Kairen is. And when you're trailing by 18 points or whatever it was, then
60:48that's where he's going to sit. But, you know, if they're tied and the markets have them winning by seven and a half,
60:54then I think there's a chance that both Kairen and Blake Cororm get in the end zone for this game.
60:59>> Yeah, I think Cororm's really good.
61:00Like, just watching him like that that me is an NFL starter.
61:04>> All right, that does it. Thanks for tuning in everyone again. Oh, I forgot to talk about the Lions and Bills wide
61:12receivers. Any final notes on that real quick? Uh, I mean, is it as simple as, hey, you start DJ Moore, hey, you start
61:19A I'm on Rasim Brown and then is Jameson Williams the only question here. Whereas in week one, his stat line would have
61:25looked a whole lot better if he didn't have the drops. But he has a case of drops he's kind of over the last 10
61:31games or so.
61:32>> I guess my biggest take is I got DJ Moore as my wide receiver 13 on the week. Um, just like let's just party
61:38right away. His role was awesome. He looked explosive and they wanted to pass the ball a little bit more than maybe we
61:43were expecting. in the Lions secondary.
61:45They keep losing guys. Like I think DJ Reed's going to miss this game. Rocky Austin was limping off last week. Like
61:50secondary was bad. They're getting worse every like every hour I refresh the timeline. It seems to be getting worse there. JMO is he's going to be the more
61:57challenging one uh because Sam Leaporta was getting some work over the middle.
62:02Like there there's some historical onoff splits with Jameson Williams. Like the there's lower volume. the type of volume that he gets with Sam Leaport is
62:10typically more down the football field which means that Jim's like going to finish as like the wide receiver 10 or like the wide receiver 80 and you know
62:17like me trying to figure out which one that's going to be on a week toe basis is going to be hard. So I pretty much
62:22have like no choice like put Jameson Williams like my wide receiver 30 and like you guys got to live with the
62:27results if you have Jameson Williams.
62:28Now it's good to live with results when you're projected for 25 points. So I think it's not the worst situation. I
62:32think he's going to probably face Christian Benford who was shadowing uh Nico Collins last week. Uh I don't think he's going to be going into the slot
62:39against Ahmad.
62:40>> Yeah, every single Detroit Lions fan is asking Brad Holmes to trade for Joey Porter Jr. Um so we'll see.
62:47>> That'd be that'd be pretty sick.
62:48>> That'd be pretty sick. Um yeah, they don't have either of their safeties and with the vertical passing game, especially with uh Don and Cade in
62:56there. Uh, I mean it hopefully hopefully hopefully Thursday Night Football does not curse us and we actually get points here. That is projected uh in the
63:05markets out there for what a 54 and a half total right now. Please, I need it.
63:10>> All right, that does it for us. We'll be back here on Friday with wide receiver rankings. Then we do it all over again
63:16with a let's say refresh, refined Sunday morning show with even more of your questions answered uh at 10:30 a.m.
63:24Eastern. and we'll finish it off with Sunday night recap. All right, everyone.
63:28Up the bill. Talk to you guys soon.
