69

A.J. Brown

PositiveValue7:00

A.J. Brown was a priority target when forced into a zero-RB build due to running backs flying off the board early; the source emphasizes 'we've definitely got to get AJ Brown.' He was subsequently selected as part of a strong draft haul for Troy Mowry alongside Jamyr Gibbs, Breece Hall, and Tee McMillan, demonstrating his value as a foundational receiver in competitive formats.

Insight page

AJ Barner

PositiveSleeper2:03

Secondary receiver sleeper added to top-200 list; was solid down the stretch last year with Sam Darnold's trust. Projection: 6–7 touchdowns and 59 receptions with potential for more red zone love, suggesting a surprisingly good year is possible. Source notes 'I know it's the most boring play I'll bring up all summer, but kind of like A.J. Barner.' Expects either Barner or Elijah Royal to have usable weeks.

Insight page

Amon-Ra St. Brown

PositiveProjection0:59

Elite-tier WR1; one of only three elite-tier WRs (Puka, Chase, Amon-Ra) with a significant drop-off after. Source and co-host both prefer Amon-Ra over Jalen Skinner (JSN) across multiple shows, indicating strong conviction on the preference despite JSN's higher ADP.

Insight page

Ashton Jeanty

PositiveValue5:30

Early draft pick in the 1.01–1.02 range; part of a strong one-two turn strategy pairing him with Omarian Hampton from Colorado State, indicating the source views this as a quality early-round construction.

Insight page

Breece Hall

PositiveValue10:03

Breece Hall is being selected in the early third round in competitive 12-team formats and was part of a strong draft haul for Troy Mowry alongside Jamyr Gibbs, A.J. Brown, and Tee McMillan, demonstrating his value as a reliable third-round running back target.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

NegativeValue27:18

Going at 5.11 with ADP inflation; he was consistently going in the sixth round previously, indicating rising draft cost on the rookie receiver. Part of a strong fifth-round receiver tier where the source believes at least two of the receivers (Christian Watson, Jameson Williams, Mike Evans, Garrett Wilson, DJ Moore, Rondale Moore, Brian Thomas) will pay off their ADP.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

PositiveValue0:22

Premium tight end going at 2.03 in draft strategy; represents a key decision point in the second round as a viable alternative to running back. Source loves pairing an early running back with Bowers and then loading up on receivers in the fourth–fifth round, noting that elite wide receiver depth is limited so pivoting to Bowers makes sense. Positioned as a contract-resetting player if he performs well. However, source questions the ADP spread between Bowers (203) and Trey McBride (311), suggesting the gap may be too large and that McBride offers better relative value at his later ADP.

Insight page

Brock Purdy

PositiveValue29:03

Brock Purdy is going 2.5 rounds later than Joe Burrow (45 overall ADP), offering significant value at the quarterback position. The source contrasts Purdy's pricing with Burrow's despite Burrow no longer running, making Purdy an attractive alternative when Matt Stafford (who threw 46 TDs) is available 100 picks later and Dak Prescott goes 1.5-2 rounds later.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

PositiveValue23:45

Bucky Irving is positioned as a fine fifth-round price for a running back attached to the Buccaneers as their early-down runner; the source views this as a reasonable value point in the fifth-round running back pocket.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

PositiveProjection42:25

Caleb Williams is selected as the preferred quarterback at this draft stage over Dak Prescott; the source acknowledges frustration with his play but emphasizes his fantasy point-scoring ability through rushing and passing. Williams is going QB6-QB7 in sixth-to-seventh round pricing, representing good value. His touchdown rate, yards per attempt, and sack rate all improved significantly last season—he cut his sack rate in half, indicating meaningful progression.

Insight page

Calvin Ridley

NegativeValue10:09

Mentioned as a third draft option in the third round, after Javonte Williams and Rashee Rice, indicating he is in consideration for that round but not the preferred choice.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

PositiveRole36:49

Cornell Tate was drafted in the seventh round but the source is not excited about him despite his talent and size as a potential number-one receiver. The source cites limited upside in year one due to the quarterback situation (Cam Ward in his second year after a rough start) and the addition of Wan'Dale Robinson, who historically commands a 20% target share and will cap Tate's ceiling.

Insight page

Chase Brown

NegativeDepth Chart6:32

Running back taken off the board during the draft, indicating he was selected before the team's turn.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

PositiveValue5:44

Drafted first overall in a mock draft as part of a 'perfect start' alongside Drake London and Rashee Rice; also featured in a draft strategy example from pick 105–106 where he was paired with Brock Bowers in a late-round pivot strategy that allows for loading up on receivers in the fourth–fifth round, demonstrating a successful early-RB-then-TE construction. The source acknowledges difficulty taking him over Ja'Marr Chase in the first round.

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveValue20:27

Christian Watson is a Fantasy Points crew favorite and one of John Hansen's top-12 favorite players on his draft plan, indicating high conviction and draft priority. The source has been drafting Watson heavily in preparation and notes that Watson was drafted in round six in a 14-team league, which the source calls stealing. Watson is also going in the fifth round in this draft and is part of a strong receiver tier (Watson, Jameson Williams, Mike Evans, Garrett Wilson, DJ Moore, Rondale Moore, Brian Thomas); the source believes at least two of these players will pay off their ADP.

Insight page

Chuba Hubbard

NegativeDepth Chart30:34

Chuba Hubbard went off the board in this draft, noted as an interesting development in the running back selection process.

Insight page

D.J. Moore

PositiveValue28:00

Going in the fifth round as part of a strong receiver tier. The source believes at least two of the receivers in this tier (Christian Watson, Jameson Williams, Mike Evans, Garrett Wilson, DJ Moore, Rondale Moore, Brian Thomas) will pay off their ADP.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

PositiveProjection19:19

D'Andre Swift has finished as a top-24 running back in points per game in every year of his career, which the source describes as 'pretty crazy' consistency. The source likes Swift as a floor play and trusts him more than Travis Etienne, citing his overall better offense. However, the source sees more upside with Basile Tooten compared to Swift, positioning Swift as a reliable but lower-ceiling option.

Insight page

Dak Prescott

PositiveValue29:03

Dak Prescott is going 1.5-2 rounds later than Joe Burrow (45 overall ADP), representing value at the quarterback position. The source also notes Dak is a viable option at the draft juncture, though ultimately prefers Caleb Williams due to rushing ability and better draft price.

Insight page

David Montgomery

NegativeValue13:13

The source would love to acquire David Montgomery in the fourth round, indicating he is a preferred target at that ADP and would be a fantastic addition to the team if available. Montgomery was selected with strong conviction as part of the core foundation alongside Ja'Marr Chase, Nico Collins, and Josh Jacobs, with the source calling it 'the easiest click that we've made so far.' He is valued for his career-long ability to maximize touches and is expected to secure goal-line work. The source expressed concern that Montgomery might split pass-down work with Woody Marks, which influenced the team's decision to prioritize running back depth in the draft.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

PositiveSleeper25:55

Denzel Boston is recommended as a late-round dart throw on a Browns receiver with upside potential. The source believes one of the Browns receivers will emerge and is willing to take shots on Boston and KC Concepcion in late rounds for breakout upside. Boston is positioned as a potential breakout candidate given the Browns' expected pass volume due to defensive decline with Myles Garrett out, though quarterback concerns remain.

Insight page

Derrick Henry

NegativeDepth Chart6:41

Running back taken off the board during the draft, indicating he was selected before the team's turn.

Insight page

DK Metcalf

PositiveValue37:18

DK Metcalf was drafted in the eighth round; the source, who has historically been a DK Metcalf hater, is now willing to draft him as a contrarian pick and part of their 'skank squad' of players they want to own despite their own prior skepticism. The source is willing to draft him eight rounds earlier than expected as a contrarian pick that goes against his own prior predictions.

Insight page

Drake London

NegativeDepth Chart6:53

Wide receiver taken off the board during the draft, indicating he was selected before the team's turn.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

PositiveValue21:48

Garrett Wilson is explicitly loved by the source this year and is part of a strong draft pocket at 1.04 alongside Mike Evans. Wilson is going at 5.08 in this draft but should be going in the third round according to the source, representing phenomenal value and a significant ADP discount.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

PositiveRole40:20

J.K. Dobbins is selected as an early-season running back asset; the source notes he could be usable early while Bashaul Tuiton ramps up over a couple weeks, making Dobbins a practical early-season option with defined utility before the backfield hierarchy solidifies.

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

PositiveProjection0:11

Elite-tier WR1 selected at 1.04 with strong conviction; source prefers Chase over Puka Nacua due to greater upside with the Bengals pass offense, noting Joe Burrow may drop back 650 times this year. Chase is framed as safer and more durable than Nacua, with elite tier status (one of only three WRs: Puka, Chase, Amon-Ra) before a big drop-off. Also selected as part of the core foundation of the draft alongside Nico Collins, Josh Jacobs, and David Montgomery.

Insight page
PositiveValue11:31

Selected at the 1.04 pick; the source cannot take Christian McCaffrey or Jonathan Taylor over Chase, emphasizing 'Chase is just he's too good' and that despite wanting to start with a running back in the first round, Chase's talent is undeniable.

Insight page

Jahmyr Gibbs

PositiveValue20:15

Jamyr Gibbs was selected as part of a strong draft haul for Troy Mowry alongside Breece Hall, A.J. Brown, and Tee McMillan, indicating solid value in this draft context.

Insight page

Jalen Hurts

PositiveProjection34:38

Selected back-to-back with Jayden Daniels as the draft room pivoted to quarterback. The source identifies Jalen Hurts as his QB1 selection for this draft, indicating top-tier quarterback preference at this stage.

Insight page

Jameson Williams

PositiveValue28:00

Going in the fifth round as part of a strong receiver tier. The source believes at least two of the receivers in this tier (Christian Watson, Jameson Williams, Mike Evans, Garrett Wilson, DJ Moore, Rondale Moore, Brian Thomas) will pay off their ADP.

Insight page

Javonte Williams

PositiveRole7:07

Javonte Williams is a primary third-round target in 12-team leagues, tied to a really good Broncos offense where all five starters and all 11 starters return. The source emphasizes the need to secure at least one RB1 with this profile: 'we need to go Javonte. I mean, we we're not going to sleep at night if we don't have at least one RB1 that we feel good about... tied to a really good offense, all five starters, hell, all 11 starters return.' While the source initially flagged him as a potential second-round overpay, third-round pricing is acceptable.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

NegativeProjection33:30

Jayden Daniels was evaluated as the best player available on the board at the draft point but was passed over due to draft room strategy favoring running back depth. The source notes 'Jayden Daniels. He definitely was the best player on the board' but the team prioritized running back scarcity over the quarterback position, deferring to later rounds when Josh Allen went in the fourth round and Lamar Jackson fell to the seventh round.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

PositiveRole32:50

Jaylen Warren is a pass-catching specialist and third-down back with ideal role fit; the source expresses strong interest if he returns in the draft. Warren was miscast as the centerpiece back last year but should return to his traditional pass-catching role as Aaron Rodgers' safety blanket underneath, taking over the Kenny Gainwell role. The source states 'Jaylen Warren deserves to play' and views this as his ideal role. Additionally, Warren is positioned as the PPR specialist in the running back room.

Insight page

Jaylen Wright

PositiveValue35:25

The source felt good about the Jaylen Wright pick from a roster construction perspective, as the team needed additional running back depth after the position dried up quickly in the draft.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeBust10:03

Drafted in the third round of a 12-team mock draft, indicating early third-round ADP in competitive formats; however, the source is explicitly not considering Love this season due to the Cardinals being dead last in implied points per game. The source is actively avoiding rookies on bad teams, and Love's team context makes him a non-starter despite his rookie status.

Insight page

Jerry Jeudy

NegativeValue26:43

The source is not a Jeudy guy this season despite acknowledging he is available at a discount (13th-14th round) and is still only 27 years old; indicates a fade on the Browns receiver despite late-round pricing.

Insight page

Joe Burrow

NegativeValue28:40

Going at around 45 overall but the source is done with Burrow at that price. Matt Stafford (who just threw 46 TDs) is available 100 picks later; Brock Purdy is going 2.5 rounds later; Dak is going 1.5-2 rounds later. The source has not drafted Burrow this offseason unless on a Jamarr Chase or Tee Higgins team. Additionally, Burrow doesn't really run anymore, making him less valuable.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

PositiveValue11:31

The source would have taken Jonathan Taylor if drafting from a different position, but cannot justify taking him over Ja'Marr Chase at the 1.04 pick; indicates Taylor is a strong first-round option but ranks below Chase in the source's hierarchy. Taylor was selected as the first pick in a 14-team league draft, opening the draft alongside Rashee Rice, Malik Nabers, and David Montgomery.

Insight page

Jordan Love

NegativeValue25:53

The source explicitly states they are not considering Jordan Love and are not taking rookies in the first 100 picks this year, indicating a fade on the rookie quarterback despite historical discounts available on rookies.

Insight page

Josh Allen

NegativeValue34:12

Josh Allen was selected in the fourth round of this draft, indicating his ADP and draft positioning in this particular draft room.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeInjury10:10

Projects really well as a running back, but his draft value is significantly suppressed by off-field legal issues; he has a pending domestic violence case in the legal system (as of July 28 recording date). The Packers are still backing him, but if cleared, he would solidly be going at the end of the second round instead of the third round where he was selected in this mock. Despite the legal uncertainty, Jacobs is valued for his career-long consistency in maximizing touches and is expected to secure goal-line work, making him a reliable touch-heavy back with predictable volume.

Insight page

Justin Jefferson

NegativeProjection17:08

The source expresses cautious skepticism about Jefferson's bounce-back narrative, stating 'he was part of the problem last year' with the Vikings. While acknowledging improvement is likely with Kyler Murray at quarterback, the source notes Murray 'has never really been the most accurate passer down field' and points to lingering downside risk despite Jefferson's elite receiver talent. The source sees concerns about his floor and downside despite being one of the best receivers in football.

Insight page

KC Concepcion

PositiveSleeper25:55

Late-round dart throw on a Browns receiver with breakout upside. The source likes taking shots on Concepcion and believes one of the Browns receivers will emerge; positioned as a potential breakout candidate given the Browns' expected pass volume due to defensive decline with Myles Garrett out, though quarterback concerns remain.

Insight page

Kyle Pitts

PositiveProjection39:19

The source expresses strong interest in drafting Kyle Pitts at this draft stage, indicating he views Pitts as a favorable tight end option at this juncture.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

NegativeRole17:17

Kyler Murray is an upgrade for the Vikings offense over Sam Darnold and should be able to run the offense better, but has never been the most accurate passer downfield, which creates some lingering concerns for Jefferson's receiving upside.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

NegativeBust16:15

The source cannot draft Williams over Tee Higgins, DeVonta Smith, Zay Flowers, or Trey McBride at the third-round stage. Williams is characterized as a 'limited upside pick' in the third round, though the source acknowledges he's 'a fine value' in the fourth round. This reflects skepticism about his ceiling despite acceptable fourth-round pricing.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

PositiveValue34:17

Lamar Jackson was pushed all the way into the seventh round in this draft, suggesting he fell further than typical ADP and represents potential value at that selection point.

Insight page

Luther Burden

PositiveBreakout15:15

Luther Burden is selected by the source (C-Bass) at receiver for the upside, positioning him as the aggressive/high-ceiling choice at the position in that draft slot.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

PositiveDepth Chart8:36

Malik Nabers received positive health news and is no longer expected to start the year on the PUP list, pushing his draft stock back up into the second round and closer to the two-three turn by September. The source is 'super super bullish' on this development, noting he was previously being pushed into the fourth round due to PUP concerns. He was subsequently selected as part of a strong receiver haul in a 14-team league draft.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

PositiveBreakout29:40

The source is buying Marvin Harrison as a third-year breakout candidate with improved entry point. Harrison was drafted at 15 overall a couple years ago but is now available in the sixth round. Last year in nine games he averaged 13.4 PPR points per game (WR17) with 20% target share and 40% air yards, completely outproducing Michael Wilson. The Jacoby Brissett situation has been cleared up. The source views this as a calculated bet that Harrison's pedigree and role quality support the light finally coming on in year three, with the sixth-round price representing the best entry point in years despite concerns about the Cardinals offense.

Insight page

Mike Evans

PositiveValue28:00

Going in the fifth round as part of a strong receiver tier. The source believes at least two of the receivers in this tier (Christian Watson, Jameson Williams, Mike Evans, Garrett Wilson, DJ Moore, Rondale Moore, Brian Thomas) will pay off their ADP.

Insight page

Nico Collins

PositiveValue18:18

Nico Collins was selected as part of the core foundation of the draft alongside Jamar Chase, Josh Jacobs, and David Montgomery.

Insight page

Omarion Hampton

PositiveValue5:30

Early draft pick in the 1.01–1.02 range; part of a strong one-two turn strategy pairing him with Ashton Jeanty from Colorado State, indicating the source views this as a quality early-round construction.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

PositiveProjection0:00

Elite-tier WR1 in top-4 draft consideration at 1.04; one of only three elite-tier WRs (Puka, Jamar Chase, Amon-Ra St. Brown) with a significant drop-off after. The source expects to get one of Chase or Nacua at this pick, framing both as the clear tier-one options at the position.

Insight page

Rashee Rice

NegativeValue8:54

Rashee Rice offers top-eight wide receiver upside and is a viable option to fall into the third round in 12-team formats, making him a potential value target if available. The source took him in the second round (22 overall) in a 14-team league with a 'no risk it, no biscuit' high-risk, high-reward approach, demonstrating strong conviction on his ceiling. He was part of a strong receiver haul alongside Jonathan Taylor and Malik Nabers in that draft.

Insight page

Ricky Pearsall

PositiveSleeper35:36

Ricky Pearsall was drafted in the seventh round as a sleeper; the source projects 1,100+ yards (possibly 1,200) if he stays healthy for a full season. He ranked wide receiver nine in average separation score and wide receiver three in route win rate last season; in healthy games with six or more targets, his production has been outstanding.

Insight page

Rico Dowdle

PositiveRole33:18

Rico Dowdle is preferred over Jaylen Warren in 2026 for full-PPR formats with dual-role upside. The source states 'I like Rico more this year' and notes he is a pretty good receiver who will get the majority of early-down carries, positioning him as the lead back with pass-catching ability. In full PPR, he functions as Rodgers' safety blanket underneath while maintaining early-down workload.

Insight page

RJ Harvey

PositiveSleeper13:59

The source is 'kind of in on Harvey' due to his pass-catching role in Sean Payton's Broncos offense. Harvey is noted as having upside in a split backfield with JK Dobbins and Jonah Coleman, though he'd need Coleman to fizzle and Dobbins to stay healthy. On Sleeper, Harvey is going too early; on FFPC and NFFC platforms, he's been pushed into the 80s and 90s, which the source considers a 'perfectly fine pick' at that price.

Insight page
NegativeValue30:28

The source does not like RJ Harvey, indicating a fade on the running back despite him being available in the draft.

Insight page

Rondale Moore

PositiveValue28:00

Going in the fifth round as part of a strong receiver tier. The source believes at least two of the receivers in this tier (Christian Watson, Jameson Williams, Mike Evans, Garrett Wilson, DJ Moore, Rondale Moore, Brian Thomas) will pay off their ADP.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

NegativeDepth Chart6:45

Running back taken off the board during the draft, indicating he was selected before the team's turn.

Insight page

Tee Higgins

PositiveValue21:37

At the 1.04 pick, Tee Higgins (TuTu) is the preferred option over Travis Etienne; the source explicitly chooses Higgins for the position, indicating stronger conviction in his value at this draft slot.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

PositiveValue15:15

McLaurin is selected as the 'boring veteran value' at receiver in a draft comparison, with the source expressing approval: 'I like that quite a bit for his two receivers.' This reflects a preference for established, reliable production over upside plays.

Insight page

Tory Horton

NegativeSleeper2:36

Deep sleeper going completely undrafted this year despite having a nice stretch last season; injury history (groin or hamstring injury mid-season) derailed his 2024 campaign, making him a high-risk deep league target. Source likes him as a deep sleeper but notes the injury 'pretty much harpooned his season,' indicating durability concerns.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

NegativeValue18:18

The source is not totally in on Etienne but considers fourth-round pricing acceptable. Etienne has been re-priced downward with Alvin Kamara's return, which hurts his receiving upside case significantly. The source views him as an 'empty calorie guy' who produces some yards but lacks consistency. Etienne has slid from third-round pricing a couple weeks prior to fifth-round territory, and the source views this as the correct price correction; he was overvalued earlier in the offseason.

Insight page

Travis Kelce

NegativeUsage41:41

Travis Kelce is characterized as nearly unusable when Rashee Rice is healthy; over the last two seasons, Kelce has ranked as tight end 9 or 10 by volume. The source expresses concern about banking on Kelce given the Chiefs' likely increased rushing volume this season, making him a fade at his draft cost.

Insight page

Trey McBride

PositiveValue13:38

McBride reached pick 311 in one league, the latest the source has seen him go all year, representing strong value at tight end. The source notes this is a 'great price' compared to Brock Bowers at 203, suggesting McBride is undervalued relative to the ADP spread between elite tight ends.

Insight page

Wan'Dale Robinson

PositiveValue38:36

The source views Wan'Dale Robinson as underpriced relative to his projected volume; he's characterized as a floor play in PPR formats with limited upside but solid foundational value. Robinson historically commands a 20% target share under John Matusz, which will cap the ceiling for other receivers in the offense like Cornell Tate.

0:00What's going on? It is Fantasy Football Daily. I am Gram Barfield joined by Mr.
0:04John Hanson. The guru is in the house.
0:07Today, we're going to be going through a mock draft from the 104. If you're listening [music] to us on the pod, if
0:12you're listening to us on YouTube, what is going on? We're going to try to draft the best team possible from the 104.
0:20>> [music] >> John, you just dropped your draft plan.
0:30I'm sure we're going to be drafting some of the players that you like from this spot. It is the 104. We're probably
0:35going to get one of Jamar Chase or Puka Nacua here, and then we will go from there. John, how are you doing, man?
0:41>> Doing well. Uh we were just talking about like I'm all in on the on all the all the ADP and all the, you know,
0:46roster construction. As you mentioned, the draft plan is up. Uh we're doing from pick four in round one. Ironically, I don't do every single spot. I do like
0:56one, three, five, seven. But obviously, we got the team I drafted from the three hole and then the five hole close enough
1:03here. And as we were just talking off the air like there's no right answer.
1:07Like there's a lot of high-quality talent in the first like 50 players. Then there's another big drop-off around 100 players. Like
1:17you know, there there's no right answer here. Like, you know, we could certainly go wide receiver in round number two. I
1:22wouldn't advise against that because I think the the depth is pretty good down the board. Probably going to look into running backs. But what if Brock Bowers
1:28is there? That's that's decision time.
1:30And then rounds two, I mean, three, four, like we kind of know what we're going to do, but we're not locked into anything. It
1:37It base It's based on how the the board goes and all that. But, you know, a lot of options here when you're picking in
1:44most places, uh quite frankly, this year, at least the first three, four rounds.
1:49>> Yeah, this is the one of the best second-round running back groups that we've had in quite some time, John. I
1:54mean, it's just a super talented group.
1:56Uh we'll have the 209 on the comeback, so we'll see who comes back to us here.
2:01We get the draft started just lay of the land here. We're starting one quarterback, two running backs, two receivers, a tight end, and two flexes.
2:11This is a PPR draft and we are doing 10 rounds. There it is. We'll go Jamar Chase. Easy easy money.
2:16>> I actually already predicted that. I knew you would go before Chase.
2:21>> Yeah, we have it we have in terms of projections, Chris has it Puka over Chase. I I've been on the opposite end.
2:27I I like Chase over Puka. I think there's just a little more upside with that Bengals pass offense, John. It's just man, Joe Burrow might need to drop
2:34back 650 times this year.
2:37>> Chase is definitely safer, right? I mean what what what else does Jamar Chase have have to show? Basically he's been
2:43durable. You know, he kind of gets dinged up, plays hurt. I mean he's an absolute stallion. Puka, the physical playing style, you do worry about the
2:52off off the field stuff. So, yeah, I I I got no problem taking Chase here at four. It's a Again, I think
2:59there's only I see a big drop off after Puka.
3:06There's only three. Puka, Chase, and Amon-Ra. I think there's a big drop off right there.
3:12>> Yeah, I agree. There's a huge drop off.
3:14I think that we see it here in this draft. JSN goes over Amon-Ra. John, you and I have both been saying this in all of our shows
3:21we've done together. We prefer Amon-Ra over JSN.
3:23>> Yeah. Yeah, because we're looking I'm always looking to be anticipatory here. Like everyone who has a brain is thinking that JSN is not
3:33going to replicate what he did last year. He's got the contract, Kubiak's got like it's not going to happen. Now, that said, I've taken him in some FFPC
3:42drafts at like six, seven overall. I I think it's a solid pick, but it's not the same as last year when we were pro
3:51at or at least I was, proactively saying get JSN early third round because it's going to be a great ROI. Like we're not
3:58getting that ROI this year, but he's still a damn good player and one of the most successful impressive seasons I've ever seen from a wide receiver last
4:06year.
4:07>> Yeah, it'll be hard to duplicate that. I think I'm with you in terms of the efficiency, but I mean they didn't add
4:12anybody, John. I mean it's like it's just Rashid Shaheed and Cooper Kupp, dusty Cooper Kupp. Uh they'll do their 12 personnel and multiple tight end
4:18stuff, but I mean J- there's nothing holding JSN back from another 30% target share.
4:23>> Is there a secondary receiver that you like cuz believe it or not, I I just did a big update on my top 200 list. I had
4:29to get this guy at least in the top 200.
4:30I know it's the most boring play I'll bring up all summer, but kind of like A.J. Barner. Like he was pretty good
4:37last year down the stretch. I think Sam Darnold really trusts him. Like who's to say A.J. Barner doesn't get some more
4:43red zone love, score six, seven touchdowns, and you know, hauls in like 59 balls and has a surprisingly good year.
4:51>> Yeah, I I think Barner or Elijah Royal, one of those two guys, they're going to have some usable weeks for sure, but
4:56like I I I just think it's a big rotation after JSN, John. I I would like I like Tory Horton quite a bit as a deep sleeper
5:03last year. He's going completely undrafted this year. Uh he had a nice little stretch.
5:08>> Yeah, he went bad.
5:09>> Middle of the season, yeah, until he I think he he had a really bad groin or hamstring injury that that pretty much,
5:14you know, harpooned his season, but yeah, Horton maybe, you know, super super deep. I don't I don't think there's a secondary receiver here
5:21though. And I think this is a part of the reason I like J'Darien Price is a lot of the expected fantasy points in
5:26this this team should consolidate around just JSN and Price this season.
5:30>> Yeah.
5:30>> Uh looking at the one-two turn, nice little start there. Ashton Jeanty and Omarian Hampton from C-Bass, like that.
5:38Uh Brock Bowers goes at the two-three with a James Cook team. I love doing that with uh with a running back. I I
5:44did a team last night. I drafted a team from 105 or 106 I believe I got McCaffrey and then came back got Brock
5:49Bowers and they just loaded up on receivers in that fourth fifth round pocket.
5:54>> Sure. Because you're not going to get a super elite guy anyway. You didn't you you're you're out. You know what I mean?
5:59When you open a draft with like James Cook at what was that? Nine 10 overall?
6:04Like you know, there's a lot of sameness at wide receiver. So you might as well pivot pivot over to Bowers. I'm I'm with anyone
6:12who's in on Brock Bowers. Like and I liked him last year. It didn't go well, but I'm back.
6:17By the way, like if he balls the F out like my man's going to get paid this year.
6:23>> Oh yeah. Yeah, he is going to he's going to reset the tight end contract market.
6:27I'm for I'm with you 100% on that.
6:30Jamel, almost back up on the clock here.
6:32Chase Brown did go.
6:33Ken Walker if he gets back to us I would love that.
6:37Trey, if you wouldn't mind going over the running backs just real quick in the pool.
6:41>> Derrick Henry.
6:42>> Henry just went as well. So it would >> oh oh damn.
6:45>> So yeah, it was Hampton, Barkley, Brown.
6:47There goes Ken Walker.
6:49We're going to get goosed on >> got absolutely screwed.
6:53>> Yeah. Jer, we could go Jeremiah Love. We could we could punt. Go Nico. Drake Drake London just went. We could go Nico.
7:03>> Well, we've definitely got to get >> AJ Brown.
7:04>> You know, I hate to say I'm going to boy, this is I got a name for you that's it's going
7:10to be way early, but I think with one of our next two picks it I hate to say this this is an overpay, but how about
7:17Javonte?
7:18>> Yeah, I can't do it in the second round over Nico, but I think we should target him in the third.
7:22>> Yeah. Yeah.
7:22>> Uh to me it's either Nico or Jeremiah Love here.
7:28I'll let you break that tie or AJ Brown.
7:30One of those three.
7:31>> Uh I hate to say it. I'm just going to go Nico.
7:34>> Yeah. All right, we'll still we'll go receiver receiver.
7:37It's an old old 2000 what? 19? 20 draft actually.
7:40>> James start.
7:41>> [laughter] >> Yeah, this is this is not the not the way that John and I are typically playing, but we did we're going to have
7:47to pivot here with with those running backs just flying off the board.
7:51>> What's funny about the skinny jeans is, you know, I you remember 5, 7, 10 years ago I said, "All these guys out there in
7:56skinny jeans drafting seven straight wide receivers." You know what's out?
7:59Skinny jeans and zero RB around.
8:02>> [laughter] >> Yeah, I was never a I could not do the skinny jeans for sure, but yeah, they're both out. They're both out. That's
8:08that's for sure. We're we're kind of being forced into a little bit of a zero running back build here, John.
8:13>> We are.
8:15>> I'm going to go I'm going to go shopping for some skinny jeans, but Oh, no. I'm sure I'm I'm not sure your
8:21wife would have would tell you that.
8:23>> [laughter] >> Imagine coming home with some skinny jeans.
8:25>> Well, there are all kinds of skinny jeans when you're my age and you're kind of flabby. It's it all, you know, kind
8:29of just >> [laughter] >> jamming in there.
8:31>> Yeah.
8:33Yeah, everything fits a little tighter when you get older. I feel you on that.
8:36All right, Malik Nabers is getting pushed back up into the second round.
8:41Coming some positive news, not going to be on the PUP list.
8:44>> I did the King's [clears throat] Classic draft, 14-teamer.
8:49>> Yeah.
8:49>> Industry draft. I got Nabers in the third round.
8:53>> There you go. Okay.
8:54>> Late third. It was like mid to late third. I was like, I had to do it. I also took Rashee Rice in that draft. I'm
8:59like, well, if I'm I'm I'm all in on no risk it, no biscuit for this team.
9:03>> Yeah, there's a ton of upside. That's for sure with with both those guys.
9:07>> [snorts] >> I mean, top eight wide receiver upside.
9:10You got Rashee Rice second round, I'm assuming, with that one?
9:13>> Uh yes.
9:14>> Nice. Yeah.
9:14>> 14-teamer, it was like 22 overall.
9:16>> Yeah. Yeah, makes sense. Yeah, Nabers was getting pushed into the fourth round a few weeks ago with the news, you know,
9:22he might start the year on PUP, but super super bullish for him that he did not.
9:27I think that's just about the right price. He's like he should be going a little closer to the two-three turn now,
9:31maybe September.
9:33>> Yeah, Rashee is not not not gone just yet.
9:37Yeah, uh he might go right here.
9:40>> See, I took Rashee actually over Nico, believe it or not. Uh but again, 14-teamer and I'm looking for a major
9:47needle-mover. I thought Nico was a little boring. This is a 12-teamer. I don't think we need to be as aggressive.
9:54>> Yeah, uh 12-teamer and yeah, I mean uh we could Rashee Rashee might fall to us here if we wanted to go three
10:01receivers.
10:01>> Oh my god.
10:03>> Uh Breece Hall goes, Jeremiah Love goes.
10:05So, to me it's either Javonte or Rashee, actually.
10:09>> Yeah.
10:09>> Or Pickens.
10:10If that'd be the third option.
10:12>> we need to go Javonte. I mean, we we're not going to sleep at night if we don't have at least one RB1 that we feel good
10:17about. I mean, tied to a really good offense, all five starters, hell, all 11 starters return.
10:23>> Oh, we got sniped again.
10:25>> See, we're talking too much shite.
10:27>> Yeah.
10:28>> Here. Wow. Wow.
10:29>> pivot and go to Josh Jacobs.
10:31>> We could pivot and go to Trey McBride.
10:34>> True.
10:35Uh I would prefer Rashee another receiver, actually, I think if we we wanted to go there. I'd rather go Rashee.
10:41>> I think we almost have to go to Jacobs.
10:45>> Yeah. All right, we'll go to we'll go to Josh Jacobs here. He does project really well. Obviously, just the off-season,
10:51the you know, the the off-the-field stuff, you know, being We'll see how that plays out in the legal system in terms of his, you know,
10:57domestic violence case. Uh right now, it's July 28th we're recording this on.
11:01There's been no news. The Packers are still backing him. Uh he is He would solidly be going at the end of the
11:08second round, I believe, if that was not the case and he were cleared.
11:12Uh but yeah, this is a Go ahead.
11:14>> Also, keep in mind we're drafting against Fantasy Points subscribers. I mean, it's a it's a tough draft room here. We're getting our asses kicked a
11:19little bit.
11:20>> Yeah, we are. Yeah, that's one of the perks here of being a Fantasy Points subscriber. Sometimes we'll just drop a
11:25mock draft on a random Tuesday afternoon. You can come in here and draft against John and I. Uh Trey dropped this in the Discord a few hours
11:32ago, and it immediately filled. Uh but yeah, Rashee Rice goes right after. The pick right after Rashee Rice at the 3.05
11:39from BS Bowen here. McCaffrey, Drake London, Rashee Rice. That is a perfect start right there. I love it.
11:43>> Well, I mean, if I could do it all over again, I would have taken Jonathan Taylor, but I I I can't do it at four
11:49with with a absolute stallion.
11:52>> Yeah, I can't take I can't take McCaffrey or JT over Chase. I've just I can't I as much as I want to start, you
11:57know, with a running back in the first round, I I can't do it, either. I mean, Chase is just he's too good.
12:01>> As much as we also like value the running backs these days, let's not forget it arguably is the easiest position to
12:10acquire a guy out of nowhere who gets volume and has a role and produces.
12:15Like, it is kind of low-key an easy position to fill, although we all kind of want to be in the running back
12:21business these days.
12:23>> Yeah, it's it's easy to find replacement-level production in a way that it's not at receiver. There's just very few receiver breakouts off the
12:30waiver wire, John. This is a part of the reason why zero running back works so well back in the 2010s. It's like
12:35passing was at an all-time high. We were in the golden era of passing. And then, you know, running backs were getting
12:41injured left and right. We had like a number of years where where running backs got really, really injured. Like, 2015 was was kind of that prime year
12:48where uh zero running back really took over. Uh and it was that that was the play. It's now it's it's kind of
12:54flipped, and offenses are playing a lot slower, a lot more run heavy.
12:57Uh that's completely flipped, but I still like getting Josh Jacobs for this team. We'll see which running backs fall to us here in the fourth and fifth
13:04round. Uh we'll probably be be double-tapping running back here.
13:09>> There's a couple of guys >> and fifth round. Yep.
13:11>> Yeah, sorry to cut you off. There's a couple of guys that look really good as RB3s who are going off the board around fifth, sixth round.
13:19We're going to have to probably suck it up and roll with the one of those guys as the RB2.
13:24>> Yeah, I would love to get David Montgomery in the fourth round. if we could get David Montgomery that'd be fantastic.
13:29>> naming names. I didn't I thought we were going to stop doing that, but yeah.
13:33>> Oh, yeah, yeah. Well, this isn't >> [laughter] >> it's not live, but yeah, we every every You're right, John. We need to stop
13:38naming names cuz every time I bring up a name, we do get sniped. It that typically does happen. I got to real
13:44quick just mention Britley76 gets Trey McBride at the 311. That is the latest I've seen him go this year.
13:50>> 311, good band, too.
13:52>> Yeah.
13:52>> That guy's got to come original this year.
13:55>> Amber is the color of your energy and that's that's what Britney is that's what Britney is trying to to change things around.
14:01>> in this league here.
14:02>> [laughter] >> That truly that should that should I love Brock Bowers, but I don't know if there should be that big of a spread.
14:08203 for Bowers, 311 for McBride. That's a great price.
14:11>> You know, the one thing I'm thinking is you know, there's a number of players that seems like everyone's sharing a brain on. Pretty
14:18good players who were kind of fading or knocking down the board like I almost feel like I should do a draft uh you
14:25know, a counterintuitive draft and just draft all those guys. Trey McBride, um R J Harvey, you guys like that. See see what you see cuz I wouldn't be
14:35surprised if they do well, but we are fading most of these guys. At least I am.
14:39>> I'm I'm kind of in on Harvey actually. I just the pass-catching role on a Sean Payton Broncos offense, that's what's
14:45piqued my interest. Yeah, he's probably going to be splitting with JK Dobbins and Jona Coma at some point this season.
14:51You know, this back it's a split backfield for sure, but if there's one player who does have the upside, uh it
14:57is Harvey and it on Sleeper specifically, I think he's actually going too early. On other platforms John like FFPC and NFFC, he has gotten pushed
15:04into the 80s and 90s. I think that's a perfectly fine pick.
15:07>> Right. Yeah. I mean, it certainly is a bet on pedigree.
15:11And and I'm I'm usually all about that.
15:13It's just hard for me to kind of see a path see you know, again a path of I mean, things would have to go incredibly
15:21well. Like he'd have to improve his vision, his pass protection. Jonah Coleman would have to kind of fizzle out in year one and Dobbins would probably
15:30have to get hurt again. That's kind of a lot, but the but all could all very well happen though, to your point.
15:36>> It's just a price thing. I think the price is fine. It's just he's it's perfectly fine price for Herbert.
15:42>> he's fine.
15:43>> Uh if he if he goes in the sixth sixth or seventh round, that's when I would probably be a little more little more
15:48skittish. I had to I wanted to see what C-Bass would do at receiver here. He goes Luther Burden for the upside and
15:53then Terry McLaurin is kind of like the the boring veteran value. I like that quite a bit for his two receivers. Man,
15:59I got to get a Gentry and Hampton team.
16:00I I haven't had that had a chance to to start my draft like that just yet. I like that quite a bit there at the
16:05one-two turn.
16:07>> Yeah, I'm feeling on Hampton, man. He he is a clean pick, man. That is a clean pick.
16:12>> There is a lot to like in that profile.
16:15That is for sure. Kyren Williams gets pushed down in the fourth round, John.
16:19This is the fifth >> It's another one. Kind of maybe counterintuitively, you know, everyone's talking about Kyren Williams.
16:24>> Yep.
16:24>> Right, but but like maybe one team you draft all the the fades and see see what happens.
16:30>> Well, I mean in the fourth round, I'm I'm perfectly fine with him. I just cannot draft Kyren Williams over Tee
16:37Higgins. I can't draft him over DeVonta Smith or Zay Flowers or Trey McBride.
16:41Uh you know, it's just a limited upside pick in the third round, but fourth round is is a lot it definitely a
16:47it's a fine value for sure.
16:48>> That's a solid team though. It's you know, you're not you're taking all established players here, but team 11 starts with
16:55Justin Jefferson, Saquon Barkley, Trey McBride, and Kyren. That's you you do have an anchor run a wide receiver. You do have your solid at running back, and
17:05you've got a stud tight end. That's a that's a pretty good start.
17:08>> You buying the Jefferson bounce back, John?
17:11>> [sighs and gasps] >> To an extent.
17:13Um I I definitely I it's going to get better.
17:17Um but you know, I don't think people realize that he was part of the problem last year. I don't I don't know what you
17:22think about it, but that's my takeaway.
17:23Justin Jefferson was part of the problem last year.
17:26>> Yeah, he absolutely was. We saw how low the floor can get. I I guess the the one thing that holds me back is like Kyler
17:32has never really been the most accurate passer down field. It's certainly an upgrade, that's for sure. He should be able to run the offense a little better,
17:41but I think there's there's still some downside with Jefferson. Uh you know, he's for sure one of the best receivers in football, but we've seen the Vikings
17:50kind of just completely mis-evaluate their their quarterback position.
17:53>> Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
17:54>> They should They should have kept Darnold though.
17:56>> way though. Yeah, yeah, it's fine. I I was okay with them. Still okay with it.
18:01You know, Sam Darnold wasn't winning the Super Bowl leading the Vikings last year. I don't believe that. I really don't. I think Kubiak might be better
18:07than O'Connell by the way.
18:09>> Oh, I 100% agree with you on that one. I mean, he he absolutely maximized the talent of that offense. And then
18:15obviously McDonald with that defense was was fantastic. John and I are about to be back up on the clock here at the 409.
18:22I I will see if we get goosed on the guy I mentioned earlier. I I won't mention names here. But if Trey could you could
18:28you pop over to running backs? Yeah, thank you, sir. Uh yeah, I'm not a Travis E.T.N. E.T.N. E.T.N.
18:34However you want to say it, I'm not not really totally in on that, but fourth round is fine. He's gotten re-priced
18:41with Alvin Kamara coming back. If we wanted to go that route, John.
18:45>> Where are you on uh >> Oh man.
18:48>> on Tooten compared to that other player?
18:50>> Yeah, I I'm you know me, I'm big on Basile Tooten. I think he's a good pick in the fifth round. All right, we're
18:55going to get David Montgomery. There you go. Boom. Easiest click that we've made so far. Feel good about that. Jamar Chase, Nico Collins, Josh Jacobs and
19:02David Montgomery to start our draft. I would like to take another running back here and maybe we'll take Tooten.
19:08But yeah, I'm I'm in. I'm in on Basile Tooten. Led this backfield in yards after contact per attempt, led in missed
19:13tackles forced per attempt, success rate last season on albeit a smaller sample size than than Travis Etienne.
19:18Um but man, I mean there's there's real upside here in this backfield. I mean there's it's a Liam Cohen backfield. I
19:23mean they've they've produced he's produced for you know, back-to-back seasons you know, with the Bucks and the Jags.
19:30Produced you know, top 12 fantasy numbers at times John at the position.
19:34There's some real upside here. Uh Chris Rodriguez has not been able to practice all summer, you know, I like it quite a
19:39bit for this team especially.
19:41>> Of course uh the guy that I was going to suggest it just went off the board right after we took Montgomery. That was
19:45D'Andre Swift.
19:47>> Yeah, I I was >> more than To'oTo'o.
19:50>> I like Swift as well. I think there's a little more upside with To'oTo'o. Swift just feels like a floor play. D'Andre
19:56Swift has finished as a top 24 running back in points per game in every year of his career. It's pretty crazy.
20:01Uh do you like him do you like Swift more than Etienne, John?
20:04>> Yes.
20:05I trust him more.
20:07You know, overall better offense. I mean let's be honest.
20:11It's a better offense.
20:13>> Kamara coming back definitely hurts Etienne's like receiving upside. I don't know if it really changes like how much what you think of his like median
20:21projection in terms of the rushing.
20:23But uh yeah, I mean it it definitely hurts the upside quite a bit. Hurts the upside case.
20:27>> empty empty calorie guy a little bit each year. Etienne. Can we call him Etienne instead of Etienne at the very
20:33least? How about Etienne?
20:35>> Travis Etienne.
20:36>> Etienne.
20:36>> Etienne. Just combine the two. Uh Tet McMillan goes at 4.12. This is actually where I kind of think he should be
20:43going. He's more of a 3-4 turn pick in most leagues.
20:46Uh but Jamyr Gibbs, Breece Hall, A.J.
20:49Brown, and Tet McMillan for our guy Troy Mowry who's a part of the Fantasy Points Data. He's part of the Fantasy Points
20:54Data crew. He knows what he's doing up there at the 1.01. That's a nice And Christian Watson. This is a Fantasy
20:59Points crew right here.
21:00>> That's a nice pick.
21:01>> right in my heart right there cuz I've been getting Watson everywhere.
21:05>> Yeah, >> [sighs] >> I would have in round six in a 14-teamer over the weekend, the King's Classic.
21:12I mean, that was >> That's stealing.
21:15>> I also got David Montgomery. So, I open up Jonathan Taylor, Rashee Rice, comeback Malik Nabers, then David Montgomery.
21:25Uh >> Those are fantastic receivers in a 14-team league, John.
21:28>> And Watson as my three.
21:31>> Yeah, I I have been drafting a ton of Christian Watson. A little bit of a teaser here, John Hansen just dropped
21:37his draft plan last week. If you have not already subscribed to Fantasy Points, you can use code fantasy, get yourself 10% off, and read John's draft
21:45plan. Uh little teaser here, Christian Watson is absolutely one of John's favorite players. He's one of the 12. I won't say which one of the 12 he is, but
21:53he is a very, very high on that top 12 list.
21:56>> Yeah.
21:57>> Uh we'll come back here. It's probably going to be TuTu or Gosh, I I don't mind ETN here, actually.
22:07It's not terrible.
22:08>> I mean, you don't >> Garrett Wilson, Mike Evans. I love Garrett Wilson this year, actually.
22:12This This pretty good little pocket to draft from.
22:14>> What about uh I mean, do you look at like a tight end?
22:18BPA?
22:19>> Uh I think for structure for structure we Yeah.
22:24>> It's a tough draft room. We're getting our asses kicked here.
22:27>> Yeah, >> [laughter] >> Loveland just went in front of us. Uh Tyler Warren went in the fourth round, as well. So, no, I wouldn't I wouldn't
22:33look at tight end.
22:34>> Forget it. You know, I thought maybe Warren was available. I didn't notice he just got drafted.
22:37>> Yeah. Yeah, to me it's either TuTu or or uh Travis Etienne.
22:41>> Yeah, I'll go TuTu over E- E-Chan. Uh for what it's worth.
22:45>> [laughter] >> I'd rather have the You know, I can see a world where TuTu is absolutely delivers the goods.
22:53>> We'll go base all TuTu for a little bit of upside. We've got Josh Jacobs, David Montgomery, and TuTu as our three
22:58running backs. I I with TuTu, you know, he's definitely more of like a I would like I like him in these builds
23:05where I've got two rock-solid running backs, even though we kind of did go like with a little modified zero RB going Chase and Nico in rounds one and
23:11two. I like having kind of like the, you know, rock-solid production we can count on with Jacobs and Montgomery, and then
23:17just swing for the fences with Tuton.
23:19Etienne goes pick after to BS Bowen.
23:22He's got a McCaffrey, London, Rice, Loveland, and Etienne team.
23:27Yeah, John, I think this is just the the right price on Etienne. I think this is where he should have been going all
23:31along. He was a third-round pick a couple weeks ago, now he's he's sliding back into the fifth. I think this is the
23:36right spot for him.
23:37>> You know what I'm doing this year, and this is like literally the most basic point.
23:42It's like top five in terms of the most basic, rudimentary, elementary, whatever you want to say, points that you can make in terms of drafting. But I think
23:51we lose sight of it sometimes. I certainly have. This year, and we're doing it in this draft, I am trying my
23:57best to avoid drafting players on bad teams, period. Like I think Quen Chon Judkins is really good.
24:03>> Yep.
24:04>> Passed on him in the 14 teamer cuz I think the Browns might may stink. But if you look at our team our our team here,
24:10Bengals, I mean, that's what's a eight eight nine-win team uh by Vegas. Nico, you know, they they perennial AFC South winners.
24:21Uh who else we have here? Jacobs, you know, obviously good >> Packers offense Packers offense might be real good this year, John.
24:27>> Yeah, and we got another Houston, Texan, you know, good team. And then the Jags, playoff team. Like so all of our players
24:34are supposedly good teams. You know, I think that's one little minor little tweak that you can make to probably help yourself out this year.
24:43>> I'm with you on Judkins, man. I I love the talent, loved him coming out of college. I I had him ranked over
24:47TreVeyon Henderson as prospects. I I just think he's a fantastic running back, but man, I mean, it's just like it's a bad offensive line, bad
24:54quarterback, and a team total that I mean, it's a bottom three team total.
24:57It's It's really tricky and >> Exactly.
24:59>> This fifth This fifth-round pocket is I think pretty good for running backs. We haven't seen uh Bucky Irving just go go just yet, but
25:06you know, in the fifth round uh you know, attached to the Bucks as their early-down runner, I think it's a fine
25:10price. J'Darien Price, my boy, is starting to go a lot earlier, man. He's starting to get some steam. He was going
25:15in the sixth round pretty much all summer. He goes here at the 5.7 uh structure pick here from Phil 25. He
25:21needed a running back uh running back two, so I like that quite a bit, but yeah, I I you know, it it's it's for
25:29running backs in particular, John, um I think it's been one of the most underrated things. Like, unless you're a great pass-catcher like Devon Achane and
25:36you have that out where you're like getting high receiving volume, yeah, team quality is just like it's almost everything for running backs. It
25:44really is.
25:45>> Exactly. Exactly.
25:47>> Part of my concern for Jeremiah Love this season, Cardinals are dead last.
25:51>> Dead last in implied points per game.
25:53>> 100% 100%. I'm not even considering Love, quite frankly. And I've I've been a guy who said that for decades that you
26:01can often get nice little discounts with the rookies. Well, I'm not taking like any rookies this year. By the way, I'm not that into the
26:10rookies this year.
26:11Late Late-round dart throws fine, but like first 100 picks, you can have them.
26:16>> I like J'Darien Price, like I was saying.
26:18>> than Price.
26:19>> Yeah, the price The price has come up for sure on on J'Darien Price, but yeah, I like J'Darien Price. I I like taking
26:26shots on like KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston. I think one of these Browns receivers does pop. Um you know, the the
26:32volume should be there. Browns are going to have to pass a ton. Nobody's really talking about this, but this defense is
26:37going to take a massive step back with no Myles Garrett. Like, they they might be really, really bad this season.
26:43Uh which is good for the passing game. I still have major concerns, like I was just saying with the quarterback group,
26:47but you don't really have to pay for it uh with any of the rookie receivers there or Jerry Jeudy, if you want to go
26:52that route. I'm not a Jeudy guy Uh this season. Uh John >> round though. I'm I'm okay with it.
26:5813th, 14th round. He is still 27 years old.
27:02>> I know, it's crazy.
27:04He came into the league so long ago. I I know, it's it's crazy. We've been talking about this guy for It feels like
27:11legitimately 10 years.
27:12>> Yep.
27:12>> Um Brian Thomas goes at the 5.11. He has also come up in price. He was consistently going in the sixth round,
27:19but John, I got I got to say the value of this draft so far is Garrett Wilson at the 5.08. He should be going in the
27:24third round. That's phenomenal value there from the person drafting at 1.08 there.
27:29>> Yeah. Yeah, there's a you know, again, there's a lot of quality um you know, first 50 picks and then, you know, a little bit of drop off and
27:37and still more uh picks 50 to 100. I always know to not always, but like recently I'm just like I noticed that there's a little bit of a
27:44drop off after the first 100 picks. So, you got to you got to make you got to make those count and and there's some good quality
27:51throughout that 1 through 100 overall, you know, range.
27:55>> In particular at receiver, I think this this is this board, if you're watching us on YouTube here looking at the board
28:01right now, I mean, look at the quality of receivers going in the fifth round.
28:04It's Christian Watson, Jameson Williams, Mike Evans, Garrett Wilson, DJ Moore, Rondale Moore, and Brian Thomas. I feel pretty comfortable saying at least two
28:11of these players are really going to pay off their ADP.
28:14They're getting pushed Receivers getting pushed back because running back is getting pushed up. John and I kind of had to pivot pivot a little bit in this
28:20draft taking Nico at the 2.9. Came back, got our three running backs. John, which direction are you thinking in here for
28:29our next pick?
28:31>> Yeah, certainly not really thinking quarterback cuz Burrow Matt >> I would have liked Burrow, yeah.
28:38>> They're they're off the board. Um by the way, you know, like Burrow doesn't really run anymore.
28:43Like it's kind of crazy that people are taking Burrow in, you know, at like 45 overall when Matt Stafford, who just
28:51threw 46, is available 100 picks later.
28:57>> Yeah, Brock Purdy's going two and a half rounds later. Dak's going like a round and a half, two rounds later.
29:03Unless it's a Jamarr Chase or Tee Higgins team, I have not drafted Joe Burrow this off season. Yeah.
29:09>> I'm done with Burrow.
29:10>> I would have I would have definitely advocated for him from on this team for obvious reasons, but because we have Chase. I just Yeah, I I
29:18can't do that price either. Hey Trey, would you mind looking at receiver only for us real quick?
29:23Carnal Tate, Jordan Tyson, DK Metcalf. I am buying Marvin Harrison a little bit.
29:27This is a big long flat tier here. We could go I see you got your boy QJ already teed up, Trey. I I know where
29:33you're going with that one. This is It's a little too early for our boy QJ.
29:37All right, we're back on the clock here, John.
29:40Marvin Harrison would be my top receiver. I am buying a little bit of that bounce back. We don't necessarily need to go there. Running back, take a
29:46quick look there.
29:48Could go RJ Harvey, Jaylen Warren.
29:52Um Yeah, I don't like Harvey either.
29:54>> boy Chuba went off the board. That was pretty interesting. And it's a little too early for Rico. So, I think we got
29:59to go wide receiver. And I'm probably with you on Harrison. Not on my target list, but that is one player that I
30:06deliberated about for months in terms of like this is a huge year. Of course, last year was a huge year. He's all
30:13jacked up. Of course, last year he was all jacked up.
30:16But at least we got the Jacoby Brissett situation cleared up.
30:19And we took him. And and look, I'm I'm a big pedigree guy. Like there is a reason that Marvin Harrison was drafted when he
30:29was drafted. There is a reason that fantasy managers were taking Marvin Harrison at like freaking 15 overall a couple of years ago. So, it's a
30:37calculated risk and a a calculated bet that the the light finally comes on and we see the true best of Marvin Harrison
30:44this year in year three. I also think that the third-year breakout wide receiver might be coming back in vogue a little bit as well because, you know,
30:51this is one of the reasons it corresponds to my not really being into the rookies these days cuz the rookies have been kind of ass
30:58over the last couple of years. So, maybe the third-year wide receiver thing is kind of back.
31:02>> Yeah, I think we got a little We got a little treated by Ja'Marr Chase in his rookie season. I think a lot of people
31:07have you know, Malik Nabers as well.
31:08There's been some elite Puka for sure. I mean, there's been some huge receiver breakouts as rookies.
31:15But yeah, I mean, it by and large rookie receivers have been a little disappointing over the larger sample. I think Marvin Harrison's just good at
31:22football, man. I I Listen, I I was out on Harrison last year. I thought the price was crazy. He ended up getting
31:27hurt, but he played nine full games last year, John. And in those games, I mean, he was, you know, averaging 13.4 PPR
31:33points per game. That was wide receiver 17. The role was pretty good. Got 20% of the targets, 40% of the air yards.
31:39Pretty much completely ethered Michael Wilson. And now the entry point is a sixth-round pick. I'm way more interested in that. Even though I do
31:47have, like I was just saying, I got big concerns about this Cardinals offense this season. But the entry point for for
31:52for Harrison in the sixth round is is pretty nice.
31:55>> Well, the big thing is like who's going to line up at X?
31:59You know, I don't know if you saw the quote from Michael Wilson, but he said that most of the production that he, you
32:04know, the numbers he put up last year, he was playing X.
32:07So, he's going to They're going to give him a shot, I guess, to play X.
32:10>> He should be their vertical X receiver.
32:12I think I think they're going to kind of move all these players around. LaFleur is is certainly one of these guys who
32:17is, you know, he's not going to have just stagnant designated roles in this offense. They're they're going to be using a lot of motion to get Harrison
32:25and Wilson off press coverage, get them moving before the snap as well.
32:30So, yeah, Harrison should be their kind of vertical threat. I'm with you on that, but I think he he In terms of value, this is the best
32:38price that Harrison by far the the best price that I've been interested in for Harrison for a number of years. John,
32:44we'll come back here on the clock in just a second. I would be very interested in Jaylen Warren here if he
32:50gets back to us cuz I think after that uh Trey, if you wouldn't mind going to run a running back uh just real quick.
32:56>> the three though.
32:57>> Yeah.
32:58I like Jaylen Warren quite a bit here.
33:00>> Do we really need a fourth?
33:02>> Do you want to go I mean, Harold Fannin and Sam LaPorta just went the tight end.
33:05>> Oh, wow.
33:06>> have to pivot a quarterback.
33:08I I like waiting on quarterback this year.
33:10>> I mean, Daniels is not bad. I hate to say that at this point, you know.
33:15>> Let's wait on quarterback. Let's get another another running back here.
33:18I think I think running back is about to fall off a cliff here.
33:21>> Yeah, all right. You want to go Warren?
33:23That's fine. He is good. I loved him last year. Now, I like Rico more this year.
33:28>> Yeah, full PPR full PPR, he's going to be Rodgers' safety blanket underneath.
33:32Tom made a really good point on one of the pods we did a couple weeks ago. He's like, I think I kind of think Warren
33:37just takes over that Kenny Gainwell role.
33:39>> Oh, totally. Totally. Now, Rico is a pretty good receiver. So, he'll probably get some consideration there, but absolutely like Jaylen Warren deserves
33:48to play. And if Rico's going to get the majority of the early down carries, which we expect, um then I mean, that's it. He's got to
33:56be the third down back. But but that's probably his ideal role. Let's be honest.
34:01>> Yeah, he was miscast a little bit as their kind of centerpiece running back last year. I'm with you on that. You
34:06know, Caleb Johnson was just a complete bust. I think that's the way they wanted to play uh is playing Warren kind of more in his
34:12traditional pass-catching role. Part of the reason John I wanted to push quarterback is you got to feel the room.
34:17Josh Allen goes in the fourth round in this draft. Lamar Jackson gets pushed all the way into the seventh round.
34:22There goes Jayden Daniels. He definitely was the best player on the board, but I was just looking at this team from like,
34:27man, we we could really use another good running back that we feel feel good about uh just in case David Montgomery,
34:33you know, does split a little bit with Woody Marks in terms of the pass downs and, you know, we needed another player
34:38that we could kind of count on besides Braelon Allen. Here come all the quarterbacks. Jayden Daniels and Jalen Hurts go back-to-back as this this draft
34:46room pivots [laughter] back over to quarterback here.
34:48>> man. I mean, the bottom line is I Do I love our team? No. Uh Do I love Fantasy Points subscribers? Yes, I do.
34:57Uh >> [laughter] >> but but they're they're kicking not kicking our ass, but this is an ass-kicking draft. I mean, this is I
35:04mean, like we we we deliberated over Marvin Harrison and I I actually had the thought of, well, you know, if he didn't
35:12pan out, we can get Michael Pittman in three rounds two rounds. He went the next pick.
35:16>> The next pick, yeah. Yeah, this is a uh very very sharp room because Roschon Johnson went in the seventh round player
35:22that I've been pushing up my board as well as more of like a ninth-round pick.
35:26Uh yeah, running back running back dried up real fast there. I felt I felt pretty good about that Jaylen Wright pick just
35:32just cuz we we could use another running back on the team.
35:36>> from a roster construction perspective, like it just didn't work out for a tight end and certainly not a quarterback.
35:43When you open a draft in 2026, wide receiver wide receiver, you'll be damn sure I'm attacking running back cuz you don't
35:53want to be left out in the dark. That's exactly what we did. Uh is it the greatest group? No, but again, this is a
35:59really tough draft room.
36:01>> Yeah. Very very sharp draft room. Ricky Pearsall goes here in the seventh round.
36:06I was just typing him up a little bit as a little bit of a sleeper, John. I know you're in on Pearsall this season as
36:10well.
36:11>> Just just I mean, not a great sign that he's already got a knee brace on or still has a knee brace on. So, that's
36:18That's it.
36:18>> just being super cautious with it.
36:20>> Yeah.
36:20>> [sighs] >> Yeah, I know, but you know, I I promise people if Ricky Pearsall ever stays healthy fully for a whole year, he's
36:29going to go for like 1,100 plus yards.
36:33Uh maybe even 1,200. Like he's good.
36:35He's really good.
36:36>> Yeah, wide receiver nine in average separation score last season. Wide receiver three in route win rate. The small sample has
36:44been pretty good on Pearsall, John.
36:46You've got a pretty crazy stat like whenever he sees five or six more targets, he's been very productive in the passing game.
36:52>> it's like uh it's like wide receiver I think it's like 11 or something like that. In his in his healthy games
37:00>> too.
37:00>> with six or more targets. Yeah, the numbers are pretty outstanding.
37:04>> We'll round out here this seventh-round Cornell Tate goes at the 7-11.
37:09>> I'm not feeling Tate. I'm just not.
37:12>> And normally I would kind of kick the tires on a guy like that, you know, pretty talented guy, pretty sizable guy,
37:17going to step in, be the number one.
37:20Brian Daboll, more of a professional coordinator.
37:24Ward gets a another year a year under his belt, but I'm still just not feeling it, you know, with with Tate.
37:32I guess maybe if things are lights out in the preseason, I'll feel a little bit better about it, but they also have a
37:36bunch of other guys that are probably going to be in the mix. I'm just not What do you think about Tate?
37:41>> I can I have not been able to get super excited about it either. It's just He goes in a pocket where I'm I am pivoting
37:47over to quarterback usually in this range, taking a look at tight end as well. I just you know, Cam Ward closed
37:54out last season playing good ball, like legitimately good ball. If you're watching the Titans last four or five games, I thought Cam Ward took a big
38:01step forward in a bad situation last year. Obviously, Callahan gets fired after a couple weeks. Brian Brian Daboll should be a little bit of of stabilizing
38:09force there. Cornell Tate obviously has the talent to be an alpha wide receiver, but yeah, seventh round it's just it's it's tricky because
38:18I I think he's he's a player at least in year one who has limited upside due to the quarterback situation. And then they
38:23bring in Wan'Dale Robinson who's always been a target under John. Wan'Dale's always been at like a 20% target share.
38:28He will kind of cap a little bit of the ceiling for K'Neal Tate.
38:32>> I think I'm less interested in Wan'Dale, by the way.
38:35Than Tate.
38:36>> Yeah, Wan'Dale's just a floor like PPR play. I think he's I think he's underpriced in the sense of like projected volume. But yeah, in terms of
38:44upside, there's there's not a ton there.
38:46>> No.
38:47>> Uh receiver is looking pretty good here.
38:49DK Metcalf, you've been a DK Metcalf hater for a long time, but eight rounds >> pick. Like if I'm going to go against
38:57the grain or even my own thought, you know, not like I'm not wrong all the time when I make the hundreds of
39:03predictions. You know, I I want to draft my all, basically my skank squad.
39:08Uh and um Jalen Hurts would be my QB1.
39:12>> The the the hedge squad.
39:14>> The the hedge squad.
39:16>> The hedge skank squad.
39:17>> Right. Right.
39:19Yeah, this is man, I I'm I'm really >> I would like Kyle Pitts a lot here.
39:24>> Yeah. Yeah. Well, now as I just mentioned, we can't open two wide receivers and get a good tight end because we need
39:32the priority is running back, which you hit, because we'll get opportunities at tight end and and that's one of them.
39:38I'm actually shocked, by the way, that Herbert is long gone in that King's Classic, not to keep going back to that
39:45one, but I got Herbert two rounds after Lawrence in the 10th round.
39:51>> Usually those industry expert leagues, man, they they always push quarterback, in my opinion, a little too far.
39:58>> they did.
39:58>> Yeah. And that's that's one that definitely does. Uh Pitts goes, so we'll just punt tight end. I think this is
40:03just a big long flat tier. Let's take a look at quarterback.
40:07Uh we could go Dak here if we wanted to.
40:11Uh I kind of want to push quarterback as well for our last two picks.
40:15>> I do. I do.
40:16>> Yeah.
40:17Uh should we take another running back here?
40:19>> Who do we have at running back?
40:20>> seconds.
40:21>> Who do we have at running back?
40:23>> Dobbins, Kenny Gainwell, Aaron Jones.
40:28>> I mean, it's boring as hell, but Dobbins.
40:31>> I think Dobbins makes sense too, John.
40:32>> Yeah.
40:33>> Let's go Dobbins.
40:36Kind of an early season play.
40:39>> Yeah, and he could be an early season usable asset where maybe it takes a couple weeks for Bashaul Tuiton get
40:43ramped up. Uh this actually ended up being a pretty decent running back room here. Josh Jacobs, David Montgomery, Bashaul Tuiton, Jaylen Warren, and
40:50Dobbins. We've got a bunch of different kind of players here. Warren could kind of be the PPR guy. Jacobs and Montgomery
40:55hopefully get all the goal line stuff.
40:57And then Tuiton you just, you know, shoot for the moon here. Dobbins not a bad RB5 on this team. We're loaded at
41:02receiver with Jamar Chase, Nico Collins, and Marvin Harrison.
41:06>> I mean, it's boring, but there's nothing boring about guys getting consistent snaps and touches and fantasy points.
41:14And that That would be That would be Josh Jacobs in his career, by the way.
41:19And and basically David Montgomery in his career in terms of like maximizing the number of touches he gets. Sometimes in Detroit he didn't get a lot of
41:26touches.
41:27And then at least we've got a speck of upside here with Tuiton.
41:31>> Yeah, Tuiton definitely the upside play, that's for sure.
41:34Uh John, let's plan out this quarterback and tight end uh real quick.
41:38Um >> Well, >> I think we could just wait for last round on tight end. I think it's just like a big long flat tier. Um
41:45quarterback >> an old guy trying to squeeze another big year out of like Kelce or Mark Andrews?
41:52>> I like Andrews quite a bit late. Kelce's just like been almost unusable when Rashee Rice is healthy. Um yeah, there's
41:58a couple decent good games, but over the last two seasons Kelce's been like tight end nine or tight end 10 by volume. Um I
42:05don't know. I just I don't know if I necessarily want to bank that on a Chiefs team that's probably going to be running the ball a
42:11little more this season than than in in prior years.
42:13>> Well, I like Mandrews more as a pick as well.
42:17Even though we do have Kelce higher and I think I do as well, but Mandrews also goes after Kelce.
42:23>> Yeah.
42:25Let's go quarterback here. I Caleb Williams or Dak would be the two to me.
42:29>> Um Dak.
42:31>> Yeah, I Listen, I I I know watching Caleb Williams play football is frustrating as hell sometimes, but the guy's going to rack up fantasy points,
42:38man, in terms of his rushing ability and you know, in Johnson we trust.
42:42>> You you you you prefer Caleb?
42:45>> Uh yeah, I do. Especially especially Yeah, especially at this point of the draft here. I mean, it's really nice price. Like I was saying, quarterback
42:52has been pushed way down in this room.
42:54Caleb's going like seventh round in most drafts, sixth, seventh round, QB6, QB7.
42:59>> list, quite frankly, even though, you know, I I'm not vehemently against them.
43:03I think Dak is going to be fine, but he's a little older, doesn't run. Caleb, obviously, uh a lot of escapability and some
43:13serious firepower, but the the inaccuracy uh scares me just a little bit, but again, at this point I'm I'm fine with it.
43:21>> Yeah, Caleb Williams took, you know, pretty big step forward last year though, John. I mean, underneath the hood, the touchdown rate came up, yards
43:26per pass attempt came up. He really basically crushed his sack rate. He cut it in half last season.
43:32>> was impossible to sack.
43:33>> Yeah, and you know, I I really think, you know, Ben Johnson truly is, I mean, maybe the best play caller in football.
43:39It's either him or Sean McVay and I mean, 2 years ago, Ben Johnson, you know, coached Jared Goff's best season, got him a 37-touchdown season.
43:48>> Uh to your point, I do have I'm looking at my top two. I do have Caleb over uh Dak.
43:54>> It's just there's there's more upside there just cuz of the rushing ability, you know. That's really what it is.
43:58Dak's never going to run.
44:00>> Right.
44:01>> All right, so we'll go There goes Dak.
44:03The decision gets made for us. We'll go Caleb Williams as our quarterback.
44:08Uh Dalton Kincaid goes. Uh Wow, 9-2. I guess he's fourth in title.
44:14Oh, I see. I see.
44:15>> went right in front of us anyway.
44:17>> Yeah. Yeah, the decision got made for us there. I would Brock Purdy would have been the third option there for me and
44:22then probably Darnold and Mahomes in that order.
44:26Uh that would have been the way I would have I thought through that.
44:28>> have gone Purdy over Darnold. I'm not into Darnold at all.
44:31>> Oh, yeah. Yeah, Purdy Purdy's one of my guys this year for sure. Uh love him as a late-round quarterback.
44:36>> Though the Neighbors news absolutely does help the Darnold narrative.
44:40>> It does. It certainly does. Uh but man, I >> Did you see that introductory press conference with John Harbaugh? I mean, I
44:47kept saying it like what is like I just have a really bad vibe and it was all on display right at right out of the gate.
44:56The first freaking 5 minutes of their their team, you know, get-together for just to open up camp. Like, did you see
45:03that video?
45:04>> Yeah, what's the opposite of running through a wall? Uh >> [laughter] >> that's the that's the opposite of what I
45:09wanted to do after that.
45:10>> away from a wall.
45:12>> [laughter] >> There you go. Yeah, walking the opposite direction.
45:15>> I will walk away from a wall for that man.
45:18>> I just listen, I think Harbaugh is, you know, he's he's a CEO coach, right? Like I think that's we feel
45:25that's exactly what he is.
45:27As a CEO, man, hiring Matt Nagy to be your offensive coordinator, really it really raises some questions to me. I just I just can't get can't get can't I
45:36can't get over that with Matt Nagy. And then your Greg your Greg Roman's your backup. It's uh >> Yeah, like he can't quit Greg Roman.
45:42>> Jeez, you know?
45:44>> Like they ran him out of town, Johnny, while they were in there in Baltimore because his passing game was basically. Great great running
45:52game guy.
45:53>> I mean, Greg Roman was getting like offensive coordinator love because he had Lamar Jackson. You know, Lamar Jackson was the MVP. I I it wasn't it
46:00wasn't Greg Roman, it was Lamar Jackson being one of the freakiest players we've ever seen in the NFL.
46:05And yeah, Roman is a good run game coordinator. He's a fine run game coordinator, but yeah, the pass game is is a concern for the Giants this year.
46:13I'm with you on on D'onta though.
46:14Getting Neighbors back fully fully healthy is is nice for his uh for his [snorts] projection. I would round up the ninth round here. John, I
46:22think we're Let's see. I think we're going to be the last team to take a tight end. Yep. So, we'll probably get Mandrews
46:29or Kelse. One of the old guys will get an old at tight end.
46:32Um >> There's some crap on the board here. I'm not I'm not into Gatson. Hunter Henry, you can have him.
46:41>> Yeah.
46:41>> Um Likely, you can have him. I I don't want Likely. I'm not feeling that at all.
46:48>> Uh I'm with you on that. I think a lot of the upside actually around Isaiah Likely was like maybe the volume upticks
46:53with you know, Neighbors not being fully healthy, but uh yeah, that's seemingly changed uh with Neighbors probably not going to start the year on PUP. He
47:01should be good to go for September. Uh I'm not feeling it with Likely either. I think the same the same logic has
47:07applied uh that's applied for Likely over the last couple years applies again. You know, he's going to probably be a part-time-ish player with Theo
47:13Johnson. Even though Theo Johnson's not not the world's best athlete, that's for sure.
47:18>> [laughter] >> Terrible.
47:19>> You're you're calling him the robot last year, John, which is hilarious.
47:22>> man. Oh >> Uh but he's he's still going to play.
47:25He's going to play and probably uh block Likely quite a bit. Uh Mark Andrews has been one of my favorite late round sleepers. Uh I've been uh
47:33talking him up a little bit as like a post hype player. Uh with no Isaiah Likely, no Charlie Kolar, he should be a
47:39full-time player once again.
47:41And that's all else >> Go ahead.
47:43>> No, I was just going to say if all else fails, but Mandrews is not a bad backup plan at tight end.
47:48>> No, I've been taking them left and right. And in that 14-teamer, by the way, it's one quarterback, two running backs, three wide receivers, one tight
47:55end, and then three flexes.
47:57>> Yep.
47:58>> So, in a league like that, a guy like Mantri, I think is perfect.
48:03Like, not only can you use him as a tight end if you need him, but >> [snorts] >> if things go as well as we think, you're
48:09going to be using him every single damn week with three flexes involved.
48:13>> Oh, 100%. Yeah, in deep in deeper leagues, I typically am like I want to get like a rock-solid quarterback, but
48:22I'm I very much like late-round tight end cuz there's always value. There's always guys off the waiver wire to pick up.
48:28I I like that quite a bit. Rounding out the 10th round here, we've got Michael Wilson finally comes off the board.
48:35Stefon Diggs and K.C. Concepcion as the receivers. Running back completely died, John. I think we were right to just take Jaylen Warren and J.K. Dobbins when we
48:42did because after that, there is not a whole lot on the board.
48:47>> What do you think of >> And Jordan Mason are the only two. Yeah, I was about to say Kenny Gainwell and
48:51Jordan Mason are the only two running backs that have gone.
48:54I can't get there with Mason. I I think he's I think he's better than Aaron Jones in terms of projection. The early
48:59down, you know, stuff should mainly go to Mason, but you know, Aaron Jones is probably going to play more in passing
49:05downs. This has been a very pass-heavy team in the red zone, too.
49:09I just don't see a whole lot of upside with this backfield, personally.
49:12>> I I can squint and see a world where where Jordan Mason is good. Number one, like they've got to control the line of
49:20scrimmage a little bit more and run the ball. Like they they need to establish the run uh quite frankly for their
49:27quarterback, regardless of who it is.
49:28So, that's that.
49:30I don't think that Aaron Jones can hold up much in terms of early down work. So, I think they're kind of going to pivot
49:37over to using Aaron Jones as a change-up runner and the third-down back. Now, De'Von Achane, the rookie could carve out a role because he's got a lot of
49:45juice, but I do think there's a world where if the Viking offense is effective, it will be because Jordan Mason is having success on those early
49:54down runs. The offensive line should be a lot healthier and maybe they score a lot of touchdowns. The one buzzkill would be Kyler because they don't run
50:01the ball well in tight.
50:04And I think Kyler is the antidote to that potentially, his legs. So he might I think he's going to run in for five or six this year at
50:12Mason's expense. But I do I do think Mason will have a successful season if things go well in Minnesota.
50:17>> Yeah, the Kyler is a great point. I mean Kyler certainly could kind of limit the upside here. But last three years John,
50:23Vikings have finished 31st, 17th and then 25th in total running back scored running back scored him in PPR leagues.
50:29There's just not been a whole lot of upside with this team. We'll round out our draft here with Mark Andrews. Travis
50:34Kelce goes right after him. Officer one double taps tight end. Uh John, I'm with you. This isn't my favorite team of all
50:41time. I thought a couple of weeks ago we drafted an absolute hammer team. I think that was from like the 103 or 102 or
50:47something like that. But we got Jamar Chase, Nico Collins as our top receivers. Then we just took a shotgun to the mid-round running backs, Josh
50:54Jacobs, David Montgomery, Khalil Tate, Jaylen Warren and JK Dobbins.
50:58Not a bad team. I like our late round value of Caleb Williams. I'm I'm with you. I'm not like super excited to draft
51:04Caleb Williams but in the ninth round, absolutely sign me up.
51:07>> Yeah, I mean he is still he does fit the profile obviously. The guy was a number one damn pick of the draft. What's this
51:12year four?
51:14>> Year three.
51:15>> Oh, it's only three, right? So but year one felt like two years.
51:20>> True.
51:20>> Yeah, no he he he absolutely improved in all areas last year by the way. Like I could even tell, you know, me with my
51:27body language being around Caleb at the his combine. I could even tell that Ben Johnson had coached him up. He was a lot more
51:35serious, seemed a lot more focused and that kind of did play out on the field for sure.
51:41>> It did and the Bears are still looking for their first 4K passing yard quarterback. Maybe Caleb Williams gets there this season.
51:50Nice little team, John. This has been a fun mock draft. Uh, the 1.01 >> participants. They made it a tough draft.
51:58>> Yeah, our our fantasy points subscribers, you're not lying. They they definitely made it a very tough draft. I got to just the 1.01 this year is just
52:04like an It's just a cheat code. This team is a complete hammer. Gibbs, Hall as his running backs. He comes back, he gets
52:10A.J. Brown, Terrace Marshall, Mick Miller, and Christian Watson. He comes back, gets Kobe Myers. It's like kind of a boring receiver value. Our guy
52:17Charbonnet just completely dominated that draft. He gets my gold medal.
52:22Uh, he gets the gold medal for this draft, I think.
52:24>> Yeah. Yeah, and you're big on Rico.
52:26Makes a lot of sense. That's Mike McCarthy's boy.
52:28>> Absolutely.
52:30>> All right, for John, this has been an excellent 1.04 mock draft over on Sleeper. If you've not already subscribed to Fantasy Points here on the
