Amon-Ra St. Brown

PositiveValue0:13

Amon-Ra St. Brown's target share has been undeniable for four years with 90 catches every year, and he can typically be drafted at pick 7-8, making him more comfortable value than JSN who rarely falls past pick 6.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout0:35

Amon-Ra St. Brown is positioned as a strong flag plant at wide receiver, expected to have a breakout year two in the Tampa Bay offense with projected 140-150 targets and Cooper Cup-type usage.

Insight page
PositiveValue0:35

Amon-Ra St. Brown represents strong fourth-round value in 2026 drafts, with analysts expressing high confidence in his breakout potential.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:35

Amon-Ra St. Brown is projected to average 17-18 points per game in 2026 as a fourth-round value pick, with potential for a breakout season.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:36

Amon-Ra St. Brown will be featured in the Z-role in the Tampa Bay offense, moved around the field to find advantageous matchups similar to Cooper Cup usage.

Insight page

Baker Mayfield

PositiveProjection0:36

Baker Mayfield is expected to throw 35-40 touchdown passes in 2026, with a focus on feeding Amon-Ra St. Brown and other key targets.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

PositiveSleeper0:32

Carnell Tate is a wide receiver that Scott Pianowski is really into in terms of wide receiver rankings on Underdog, going two picks after Christian Watson.

Insight page

Chase Brown

PositiveValue0:07

Rich Hribar prefers Chase Brown over Devon Achane in ADP comparison, noting that Brown is a player who could score 15 touchdowns this year.

Insight page

Chris Godwin

NegativeProjection0:36

Chris Godwin is projected to return around 11 points per game in 2026, likely returning value at cost but not threatening 2024 levels due to the new Zack Robinson offense replacing Liam Cohen.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:39

Godwin may be preserved to play more 11 personnel and restricted slot-only snaps rather than the full route tree he had in 2024, potentially limiting his target volume compared to previous seasons.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

PositiveUsage0:04

Christian McCaffrey is identified as one of only two running backs (along with Devon Achane) who can lead their team in targets without injury.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:04

Theo Ginger identifies Christian McCaffrey as one of only two running backs capable of leading their team in targets without injury, alongside Devon Achane.

Insight page

Christian Watson

PositiveBreakout0:17

Rich Hribar flags Christian Watson as a major upside play in 2026, citing injury discount pricing despite elite efficiency metrics (WR15 in yards per route run, WR17 in fantasy points per route run, WR13 in fantasy points per target) and improved target opportunity with Romeo Doubs and Dantavian Wicks removed from the Packers offense.

Insight page
PositiveValue0:17

Christian Watson gets a big contract and his ADP has ticked up, flipping players like Jameson Williams and going alongside DJ Moore, but the price is still right for him to deliver in a major way this year.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:18

Watson is positioned to see increased target volume as the Packers removed Romeo Doubs (only Packer over 50% snap share last year) and Dantavian Wicks, and will be the primary WR in one-to-two wide receiver sets where Jaden Reed has minimal experience.

Insight page
PositiveUsage0:19

Watson saw increased route diversity at season's end with career-high out routes and second-highest career hitches, moving away from volatile deep routes toward more consistent fantasy-friendly targets.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:20

Watson ranks 10th in yards per route run and had four games with 18+ fantasy points last year in limited sample size, with potential to finally break out if he maintains health and hyperefficiency while running more routes.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:20

Watson had four games with 18+ points in limited regular season sample last year and could see increased passing volume if Josh Jacobs misses time or as the Packers lean more pass-heavy given recent playoff disappointments.

Insight page
PositiveValue0:22

Watson is extremely bullish at his current cost given the contract the Packers just gave him and the team's need to be more pass-happy.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:22

Watson's ceiling outcome is fringe high-end WR2 to low-end WR1 with some week-to-week volatility, comparable to 2024 Terry McLaurin's ~120 targets, double-digit touchdowns, and high efficiency per target.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout0:23

This is the season for Watson to break out; his ADP could trend up throughout the summer as more people recognize his potential.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout0:28

Christian Watson is highlighted as one of Rich Hribar's key bullish plays for 2026, discussed alongside Terry McLaren as a player both hosts talk about weekly.

Insight page
PositiveValue0:31

Christian Watson is mentioned as going two picks ahead of Carnell Tate in draft rankings, with DJ Moore going right alongside him.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

PositiveUsage0:33

Colston Loveland was ahead of DJ Moore in targets per route run last year for the Bears.

Insight page
PositiveUsage0:33

Colston Loveland ranked ahead of the unnamed wide receiver in targets per route run during the 2025 season.

Insight page

D.J. Moore

PositiveValue0:17

DJ Moore is mentioned as a comparable ADP range to Christian Watson, with Watson's price still considered favorable.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:28

DJ Moore is a bullish play for Rich Hribar with Josh Allen as his clear-cut wide receiver one, though this projection is more faith-based than his other recommendations.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:29

DJ Moore showed improvement late in the 2024 season with five touchdowns in the final six games, suggesting potential for a bounce-back year.

Insight page
PositiveInjury0:29

DJ Moore played with an injured testicle for half of last year, which may have impacted his performance during his down 2024 season.

Insight page
PositiveValue0:30

DJ Moore is being drafted at wide receiver 27-30 range but Rich Hribar projects him around wide receiver 20-22 range, representing a discount. He's moving to Josh Allen's offense with potential for increased volume if the Bills throw more this year.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:31

DJ Moore had manufactured running back rush attempts under Joe Brady early in his career, a wrinkle that may return with Brady now calling plays for the Bills.

Insight page
NegativeBust0:32

Scott Pianowski is not into DJ Moore, noting he's been overrated every year of his career except one, is now 29 years old, and was awful last year, finishing behind every other wide receiver on the Bears in targets per route run.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:33

DJ Moore is positioned as significantly better than Gabe Davis, even at 45 years old, suggesting strong talent evaluation.

Insight page

David Montgomery

PositiveProjection0:40

Montgomery has parallels to Joe Mixon in 2024 as a focal point of the Texans offense, with strong scheme fit under Nick Caserio's man-gap run concept.

Insight page
PositiveUsage0:41

Montgomery averaged 4.5 yards per carry (21st of 49 backs with 100+ attempts) with a 40% success rate (24th, higher than Jalen Gibbs) and ranked 17th in yards after contact, showing strong efficiency when on the field.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:41

Montgomery was specifically sought out by the Texans for their man-gap run scheme; he ranked 10th in success rate on man-gap runs at 50% and led all running backs in EPA per rush on those plays.

Insight page

De'Von Achane

PositiveBust0:02

Rich Hribar believes Devon Achane is overrated at his current ADP (round 1-2) and projects him as a high-to-mid RB2, not an RB7-9. He cites Achane's significant performance drop without Tua Tagovailoa (10.5 PPR points vs. higher with Tua) and concerns about Malik Willis's historically low running back target rate (10.2% career vs. Tua's 24-25%).

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:05

Scott projects Devon Achane as RB5 and highlights his 5.6 yards per carry career efficiency, 85+ targets in back-to-back seasons, and potential upside from improved ground efficiency under the Konamani code, though acknowledging some risk from Malik Willis.

Insight page
NegativeProjection0:07

Rich Hribar expresses concern about Devon Achane's touchdown upside, projecting he won't score 15 touchdowns this year, and prefers Omarian Hampton and Chase Brown over him in head-to-head ADP comparisons.

Insight page
NegativeBust2:28

Rich Hribar flags De'Von Achane as a fade, indicating concern about his fantasy outlook for 2026.

Insight page

Devin Duvernay

PositiveUsage0:33

Devin Duvernay was ahead of DJ Moore in targets per route run last year for the Bears.

Insight page

DK Metcalf

NegativeRole0:12

DK Metcalf was one of the veterans roadblocking JSN's opportunities in his first two years, though he is now viewed as not being a strong player.

Insight page

Drake London

PositiveValue0:13

Drake London is mentioned as a comparable player that JSN is still difficult to move below in draft rankings despite the concerns about his 2024 season.

Insight page

Gabriel Davis

NegativeBust0:33

Scott Pianowski notes that Josh Allen made Gabe Davis look like a thing, but Davis is much worse than even a 45-year-old DJ Moore, suggesting Allen's ability to elevate receivers shouldn't be overstated.

Insight page
NegativeProjection0:33

Gabe Davis is described as significantly worse than even a 45-year-old DJ Moore, despite Josh Allen's ability to elevate receivers.

Insight page

Jalen Nailor

PositiveProjection0:12

If he has a season where he produces 90 catches and 200 yards with 7 touchdowns, it would be considered somewhat disappointing given expectations.

Insight page

Jameson Williams

PositiveValue0:17

Christian Watson has flipped Jameson Williams in ADP rankings, with Watson's price still considered right despite the ADP tick up.

Insight page

Jaxon Smith-Njigba

NegativeProjection0:08

JSN's 2024 season was unreplicable—he was the first player ever to lead the NFL in receiving yards while on a team in the bottom three in pass rate, with 36% of team targets and 50% of air yards, making his top-five ADP risky given coaching changes and role uncertainty.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:09

With Clint Kubiak gone, Rasheed Shahid arriving mid-season and now being the star of training camp, and Sam Darnold as a first-time play caller, JSN's target share is unlikely to remain as high as his 2024 season.

Insight page
NegativeValue0:09

Rich prefers Amon Ross Nate Brown as a safer pick than JSN, suggesting he hasn't been drafting JSN due to the unreplicable nature of his 2024 season.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:10

JSN's yards per team pass attempt in 2024 was the highest since 1956 by yardage market share, making his 2025 production expectations uncertain given coaching and role changes.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:11

JSN was pigeonholed into slot-only usage his first two years and roadblocked by DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, but showed productivity when given opportunities to play without them.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout0:12

Scott still believes in JSN as a player and is taking him ahead of some peers, viewing him as elite talent in the mold of Keenan Allen despite the unreplicable 2024 season.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:13

JSN is being ranked inside the top 10 by the analyst despite concerns about the Seattle offense coaching change.

Insight page
NegativeRole0:14

The Seattle offense moving away from Clint Kubiak is a scary thing for JSN's outlook.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

PositiveUsage0:25

Daniels has operated in shotgun on 93% of his dropbacks through two NFL seasons and is 24th in pre-snap motion rate and 18th in play-action rate, but will see significant increases in both under new coordinator David Blau.

Insight page

Jayden Reed

NegativeRole0:19

Jaden Reed has run only eight total pass routes in one-to-two wide receiver sets in his NFL career, significantly limiting his role in the Packers' primary offensive sets compared to rookie Matthew Golden who ran 72 routes.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

PositiveSleeper0:17

Jaylen Waddle is mentioned as a relatively liked wide receiver in the WR20-35 range, though not discussed in detail.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeValue0:07

Rich Hribar prefers Omarian Hampton over Jeremiah Love in ADP comparison, citing similar concerns about Love as a player who hasn't played in the NFL yet.

Insight page

Josh Allen

PositiveProjection0:28

Rich Hribar is absolutely terrified of not having Josh Allen this year as the first quarterback taken, despite the Bills facing many good teams in their schedule.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:33

Josh Allen has demonstrated the ability to elevate wide receiver talent, as evidenced by his impact on Gabe Davis's performance.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

PositiveProjection0:19

Josh Jacobs' suspension status is uncertain heading into 2026, which could impact the Packers' offensive approach and passing volume.

Insight page

Malik Willis

NegativeRole0:07

Malik Willis is expected to take some of Devon Achane's touchdown opportunities on the ground for Miami this season.

Insight page
PositiveValue0:15

Malik Willis is going around QB20 range as a cheap rushing-only quarterback option; if he flirts with 100 rush attempts, 41 of 47 quarterbacks since 1990 with 100+ rush attempts have finished as top-12 QBs per game, providing a floor insulator.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:16

The analyst doesn't believe the infrastructure Malik Willis had in Green Bay's small sample will be in place in the Miami Dolphins offense.

Insight page

Mike Evans

PositiveProjection0:17

Mike Evans is highlighted as a wide receiver in the WR20-35 range who can flirt with double-digit touchdowns in 2026.

Insight page
PositiveDepth Chart0:37

Mike Evans is no longer on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers roster, opening up target opportunities for other receivers.

Insight page

Omarion Hampton

PositiveValue0:07

Rich Hribar prefers Omarian Hampton over Devon Achane in ADP comparison, suggesting Hampton has better touchdown upside potential.

Insight page

Rome Odunze

PositiveUsage0:33

Rome Odunze was ahead of DJ Moore in targets per route run last year for the Bears.

Insight page

Romeo Doubs

PositiveDepth Chart0:19

Romeo Doubs was removed from the Packers offense after being the only Packer to play over 50% of snaps last year, opening up target share for Christian Watson.

Insight page

Sam Darnold

PositiveProjection0:09

Sam Darnold as a first-time play caller with the Seahawks introduces uncertainty about whether he will regress from his 2024 performance.

Insight page
NegativeProjection0:09

Rich Hribar questions whether Sam Darnold will regress in 2026 after benefiting from one of the easiest passing schedules in the NFL last year.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

PositiveValue0:07

Rich Hribar prefers Saquon Barkley over Omarian Hampton in ADP comparison, indicating he views Barkley as the better value.

Insight page
NegativeBust0:08

Rich Hribar notes that Saquon Barkley had a disappointing 2025 season relative to his top-five ADP, as his 2024 production was too gaudy to replicate and regression was inevitable.

Insight page
NegativeProjection0:08

Saquon Barkley is being drafted as a top-five pick this year despite having a disappointing season relative to his ADP, similar to how JSN's 2024 season was unreplicable.

Insight page

Stefon Diggs

PositiveProjection0:30

Stefan Diggs was the wide receiver 18 in expected points per game over the stretch when Joe Brady took over play calling for the Bills.

Insight page

Ted Hurst

PositiveRole0:36

Ted Hurst is not considered a threat to Amon-Ra St. Brown's target share in the Tampa Bay offense.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

PositiveProjection0:23

McLaurin was highly efficient when healthy last year despite playing only 10 games and 41% of snaps, posting 2+ yards per route run (14th among 100+ route runners), 31% target share, 46% air yards share, and 55% of targets going for first down or touchdown (3rd in NFL).

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:24

McLaurin benefits from Commanders' shift to more under-center snaps, motion, and play-action under new coordinator David Blau—tactics that have been cheat codes for targets and fantasy efficiency.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:24

New Commanders offensive coordinator David Blau has made early quotes about getting McLaurin 10+ targets per game, signaling a major role increase under the new offensive scheme.

Insight page

Tez Johnson

PositiveRole0:36

TZ Johnson is not considered a threat to Amon-Ra St. Brown's target share in the Tampa Bay offense.

Insight page

Tyler Lockett

NegativeRole0:12

Tyler Lockett was one of the veterans roadblocking JSN's opportunities in his first two years and has since washed out of the league.

Insight page

Woody Marks

PositiveRole0:42

Marks is being talked up as a three-down back but is not viewed as a huge threat to Montgomery's role; he can catch passes but won't be split out wide in the Texans' scheme.

0:09That's him. That's the old machine.
0:19Dropping early flag plant players that will win fantasy leagues in 2026. I'm Theo Ginger, Fantasy Football Daily right here on the Fantasy Points podcast
0:27network and Fantasy Points YouTube.
0:30Joined today by Scott Barrett and also our guy Rich Reebar of Sharp Football Analysis. Rich has been a continual guest of Scott and mine because he's one
0:39of the sharpest guys there is in fantasy football, hands down. Rich is going to reveal a number of flag plant players
0:46today and I'm going to reveal a few flag plant players. Rich, I'd say yours are a little more bold than mine. Did I go a
0:52little too early in ADP for you?
0:54>> No. No. I was just giving you guys, you know, some grief. I come on the show and they're like, "We're going to do flag
0:58plants." Scott's not doing any, I hear.
1:01Uh, so he's just Bogart and all the Exotica guys. Uh, you know, >> Exotica guys. [laughter] >> The Theo did told me to call him the
1:10Exotica guy.
1:10>> Yeah, Rich called it Exotica and I said just keep that. [laughter] and and and and Scott, Scott, when are you gonna
1:16start re for the Fantasy Points audience who's who's watching Fantasy Points YouTube to maybe get a little bit of taste of what Scott's gonna drop in
1:23August? When is the cadence? What articles are coming out? Where can people start finding some of your Flag Plant players? Are you still working on
1:30it? How's the process going?
1:32>> Yeah, so I'm I'm deep into research and uh putting together some research notes that actually I think I'm I'm going to
1:38turn into articles. I'm working on my rankings and then probably I'm shooting for late July. It's usually like the first couple of days of August, but late
1:48July for the draft guide this year. And yeah, I have to certainly payw wall some of those, but uh hey, I'm looking at the
1:55show sheet. You guys nailed a lot of my guys. Really tremendous overlap here between players. I plan on planting my flag. Maybe there's one or two Exodas in
2:06here as well. So, I I I think it's going to be a good uh conversation today.
2:10>> Yeah. And if you want to see some of Ryan Heath's favorite quarterbacks right now and and some of his Flag Plant
2:15quarterbacks, make sure you check out School of Scott. Make sure you're also subscribed to the School of Scott uh podcast feed. But Ryan and Scott just
2:23dropped one. It's the previous video on YouTube if you're watching this show on YouTube. But let's just get it started.
2:29Rich, before we start dropping the flag plants, let's maybe talk about a a potential fade of yours. Who's a player that you think is really overrated right
2:39now when you start looking at like early ADP uh and some maybe some takes from other analysts?
2:45>> Yeah, I mean still for me is I think I came on early in the off season. It was right after uh the you know the start of
2:52the the offseason was enrolling and I kind of talked about you know Devon Achan and where I was going to have him
2:57and I got into projections got under the hood I'm doing anything and it it's still Deon Achan like he's still like I
3:03still can't believe he's a round one two turn player right now I mean we've seen so many players in like this type of
3:09environment just kind of be a boomer bust RB2 that's kind of where I've got him and then when you talk about just
3:14the infrastructure of the Miami Dolphins and the change to Malik Willis I don't think these things do him any favor favors. I mean, a lot of gamers that
3:20have had Devon in the past two years, and I've had him because I've been more bullish on him, um, you know, have been
3:26cognizant about the splits with without Tua Tong of Aoa. I mean, this guy's played eight games without Tua. He has one RB1 scoring week in those weeks. He
3:33only averages 10 and a half PPR points, which is almost 50% drop. Um, granted, we might not see as precipitous of a
3:40drop because he's not going to Tyler Huntley in in Quinners. Malik Willis can kind of facilitate uh you know him not
3:46completely bottoming out. But you know I think he's going to be a lot more into that bucket of where we saw him at the
3:51end of last year when two missed where he was like finishing weeks as RB14 18 touches 90 yards RB 17 21 touches for
3:58112 yards like that kind of bucket and then we're just not going to have the receiving profile. I mean to he was so
4:03reliant on Tua you know peppering him with so many of those quick hitters. He has a 25% team target share in his games
4:09played with Tua target on 24% of his routes. Without Tu, it goes to a 15% target per route rate. Malik Willis has
4:17only targeted running backs 10.2% of the time in his career. The only quarterbacks with lower target rate to running backs uh with over 50 plus pass
4:24attempts because it's small sample stuff with him are Riley Leonard and Anthony Richardson. So, I don't think the bottom's going to fall out, but we've
4:29lived this life with Bree Hall the last couple of years. I I I firmly believe this guy should be, you know, more of
4:35like that that high to mid RB2 range and he's still like floating around RB7, RB8, RB9. There are so many more players
4:42I like more than him at his own position, let alone some of the receivers he goes up against. Scott, do you have a devil's advocate take there?
4:49And I'll just make a very simplistic one. Here's the list of running backs that I think with without even without an injury can lead their team in targets
4:57this year. Christian McCaffrey, Devon Achan. That's the end of the list. And you know, even with a lot of rich and
5:04rich, you you have an unbelievable take there. But Scott, I'd kind of point out that Chris Wet is also really high on
5:10Devon Achan in terms of points per game.
5:12Uh, and Hchan, I think, turned a corner last year. So, I I I'm curious where you're at on this one, Scott. Um, do you
5:19agree with Rich or you're taking a counter view? Yeah, I actually disagree with Chris. uh our projections uh disagree with Rich. He's our RB5. I
5:33think you made a great argument and I I I agree that's that's fairly concerning.
5:36But, you know, the bottom line to me is the most efficient running back in football, 5.6 yards per carry in his
5:44career. I know, you know, he benefited from Mike McDaniel. Um and uh yeah, he's had 85 plus targets in back-to-back seasons. I know the Tua to Tago Valoa
5:54splits. I, you know, I worry about Malik Willis. But maybe the flip side is, hey, we know a component of the Konamani code
6:02is improved efficiency on the ground.
6:05Devon Han, this insane uh explosive playmaker on the ground. Um, and you just look at the pass catchers there.
6:13It's it's really the worst wide receiver core in the NFL. you know, is is Devon Aishan actually like the second best
6:20receiver on the team? He he might be, but uh probably not. But, you know, I still think they're going to carve out
6:27some targets for him for this guy the paid uh this off season, really the most talented player on the offense. And
6:34yeah, I think there's for sure some risk that that Rich, you know, articulated perfectly, but there's also like 1,000 upside. Like if there's any player that
6:45has that, which is like almost impossible, um I think it could be Devon A.
6:51>> Yeah, I think I'm I'm leaning more towards you, uh Scott, on this take. And Achan's a player that's really difficult
6:56for me to fade. Rich, like let me just give you a head-to-head ADP debate just to sort of show your conviction on this
7:02take. Omarian Hampton or Devon Achan?
7:05>> Yeah, Hampton for sure.
7:07>> Chase Brown or Devon Achan?
7:10>> Yeah, Chase Brown. These are guys that can these are guys that could score 15 touchdowns.
7:14>> There you go.
7:14>> The Deonian's not scoring 15 touchdowns this year.
7:17>> That I think and I think that might be that that for me that's the the biggest argument is the is the touchdowns. Could
7:23Miami has a four and a half win total.
7:25Um and also do you concede a couple of those touchdowns on the ground to Malik Willis this year? So Achan's definitely
7:32one where I'm leaning more with Scott on this one than Rich. Um but Rich, you make unbelievable arguments as you always do. Two more two more uh quick
7:42quick ADP head-to-head uh for HN just to show your conviction. Saquin Barkley or HM.
7:47>> Oh yeah, Squan for sure.
7:49>> Okay. Jeremiah Love or H.
7:51>> Oh, no. I'd be Han over.
7:52>> Okay. So, we found we found we found the breaking point. We found the breaking point. It only took it only took five or
7:57>> it's the similar it's a similar argument. The the tear down of love is the similar argument that I just kind of
8:02spieled out for Achan except for it's a player hasn't played in the NFL. Now, we talked about Achan, who was an
8:08unbelievable scorer last year, averaged over 20 points per game. You're projecting him to regress on that number. Is there any other highly
8:16productive player in 2025 that stands out to you as a big regression candidate in 2026?
8:23>> Yeah, I mean, and it's a bummer because, you know, you just brought up Saquon.
8:27It's this year Saquin, right? Like, we knew last year Saquin was coming off of a year he wasn't going to be able to
8:34replicate, right? like we just knew like it was it was too gaudy and like we knew there was gonna be aggression but we
8:39didn't know where it was going to fall and it turns out like all these other dominoes fall and like he ended up
8:43having a really disappointing season based on ADP and I kind of feel like this year's you know Saquon Barkley is like right there as a top five pick and
8:51it's Jackson Smith and Jigba and it's it's not that I'm like down on Jackson Smith and Jigba it's just like it's his
8:56season's unreplicable like this was the first player to ever lead the NFL in receiving yards where while playing on a team bottom three in the NFL in pass
9:03rate I mean all of His like his efficiency splits are crazy. He had 36% of the team targets like 50% of the air
9:10yards. Clint Kubiaak's gone. We've got Rashid Shahid not now not on boarding in the middle of a season. Does he kind of,
9:16you know, have a larger role since he got paid? Also, like strength of schedule stuff cuts both ways. I mean, Seattle had one of the easiest passing
9:23schedules in the NFL last year. Does Sam Darnold regress? Um, you know, what do we have in a first-time play caller and
9:29Brian Flurry? There's just like a lot of moving parts here and this is a guy you're paying the iron price for, you
9:35know, has one season where he he was just an immense value the year before, right? And now we're paying immediately top five price for those guys always
9:42kind of give me a little bit of the Eevee GBs like when I have to go in for I think like some guys are a little bit
9:47safer around him. Like I think Aman Ross Nate Brown is an outright safer pick than him. Maybe doesn't have as much
9:52ceiling but still has a really high ceiling. So I really haven't been drafting JSN. I hope he doesn't come back to bite me, but just like he had an
9:58unreplicable season a lot like Saquon had the year before.
10:02>> Scott, you you know, you've talked about, you know, in your analysis of JSN over the years, you viewed him as sort
10:07of an elite talent in the mold of like a Keenan Allen as a pro a prospect. Last year, we saw him take this big step
10:13forward and I think a lot of sharp people were sort of on the uh JSN is a is a little bit shaky last year because
10:20we're potentially losing the slot usage.
10:22Then we saw him in this really high value role and he was just an unbelievable scorer. He's still very very young, 24 years old. Um, are you
10:31with Rich on this one or do you think uh JSN is a locked and loaded mid first round value?
10:37>> No, I'm I'm mostly with Rich on this.
10:39Um, I remember tweeting about this in late November. Uh, JSN's yards per team pass attempt was the highest since 1956 by yardage market share. I think it was
10:50the highest or the second highest since like Lance Alworth in 1965. And it's just yeah, unreplicable I think is a good way to put it. You lose Clint
10:59Kubak, a guy, you know, I I hold in highest esteem. I think uh you know, they were kind of blindsided by Cooper
11:06Cup being as washed as he was. They paid him a lot of money and then Tory Horton goes down. They get Rasheed Shahed
11:13midseason and now he's the star of training camp. Um, I don't think the target share is going to be as high, but
11:19yeah, bottom line is like I believe in this. I had, you know, coming out I said JSN was Keenan Allen reincarnated the
11:28best slot wide receiver of all prospect ever. Um, well, actually, now that I have you here, Rich, I'd like to ask you
11:35your opinion. What do you think happened those first two years? Uh, and then just the sudden, oh, this is the best wide
11:41receiver in football. Do you really just blame that on uh bad offensive coordinators?
11:47>> I think it's just it was just a combination of, you know, offensive environment, you know, being kind of pigeonholed into being a slot only
11:54player and being kind of barricaded by two veterans on a veteran team that was, you know, coached by a veteran head
12:00coach, right? Like u you know, roadblock by DK and Lockett because whenever he had a chance to play without one of
12:06those guys, he was productive. Um, and when his when his role expanded and he got more opportunities, he was just kind
12:11of, you know, roadblocked and pigeonhold and playing like 11 personnel only those first two years. And I think that really just kind of hurt him.
12:18>> Yeah. But Lockett washed out of the league. DK Medaf I think kind of stinks.
12:23But >> yeah, I think on other teams he would have been fasttracked quicker. Also, I think that the being injured uh leading
12:30up to his rookie season uh really hurt him. There was like that like I believe it was like a quick wrist uh surgery.
12:36Uh, correct me if I'm wrong on the actual injury, but he had that cleanup surgery like in the summer that caused
12:41him to miss some time. You don't love seeing that with a younger player. Um, so I I believe in JSN. I'm still taking
12:48him ahead.
12:48>> I do, by the way. I also still believe in him as a player. It's just like if he has a season where he comes out and
12:54gives you like say like 90,200 and seven like at cost, you're going to be like, "Oh, that was kind of disappointing." Still to a degree. I
13:04think you make a you make a great point and you're I'm [clears throat] on Raw one. So you're you're I'm on Raw ahead
13:09of JSN. Are you CD Lamb Justin Jefferson ahead of JSN? Other guys that are sort of going at that.
13:14>> I mean I still I still have him like I just have him a little bit lower in the overall ranks like from in in context of
13:20the wide receiver. I think it's hard to still move him below like like a like a Drake London, right? Like it's still
13:26hard to get him below those guys. But like Alman Raw, we know like the target share stuff's just been undeniable for
13:31four years in a like this guy's 90 catches every year. Everyone's told you now about the Lion schedule and like them playing indoors and all this stuff.
13:38Like it's all set up for him. So, he'd be the one still that I would say like I'm more comfortable because you can get
13:43Almond Rod typically at pick seven, pick eight, you know, sometimes a little bit later than that where JSN you're never getting really in those spots.
13:49>> Yeah, JSN's not falling past like six in a lot of these drafts. Uh pretty much all formats. So, it's a very interesting
13:55conversation. I'm going to have him inside my top 10. Um, but I do agree that there's a that the Seattle offense
14:02going from going getting away from Clint Kubak, it's it's a scary thing. Let's go ahead and start diving into some of
14:08these flag plant players. And if you want access to Rich's content, make sure you're checking out all of his work over
14:15at Sharp Football Analysis. What do you have coming up uh in the next couple of weeks here, Rich?
14:20>> Yeah, I just submitted all my final book stuff for the Warren Sharp, you know, 2026 preview book. He has that giant,
14:25you know, almanac come out every year.
14:27So, now that I'm done with that, I'm I'm really focused now head down on fantasy content. So, post Fourth of July is
14:34where we'll start just adding a different series every week uh to to the draft kit. And, you know, I always say I
14:39always say when I come on this show, I'm like, if you guys are fans of the work that, you know, Scott, the guys like
14:43Ryan are doing, I feel like I am have a lot of adjacency to them. So, if you like their work, you'll probably enjoy
14:49mine, too. Uh, so if anyone wants to go over there, too, I'll even throw out a little promo code of fantasy 10 for 10%
14:54off anyone wants to go over there.
14:56>> Yeah. Rich, Rich is Rich, all of your work is just so sharp and like it's like we Rich, you know, you're like a big big
15:02big-timer when you like a term that you created is in like the common vernacular. So, every single person under the sun uses the word Konami code
15:11quarterback. That's Rich Harbar right there. Do you have a Konami code quarterback before we start flaging here that you're into this year? We we have
15:20the a most obvious pure by original definition and to date myself. I wrote that article in 2013. Uh um it's you
15:28know it is the guy we talked about kind of adjacent to Devon Chance Malik Willis like we really haven't seen a cheap a
15:34really cheap rushing only quarterback in a while because gamers have been cognizant of the the value of those guys having a high floor and it just I think
15:41speaks to the depth of the position this year why he's going around like that QB20 range. But if you don't believe
15:46he's going to get benched, you have to believe he's going to flirt with 100 rush attempts. And you know, since 1990,
15:51there's been 47 quarterbacks that have 100 rush attempts in a season. And 41 of those 47 quarterbacks have performed at a per game level as a top 12 quarterback
15:59per game. It it's just it's a floor insulator. Um, and if you get any type of efficiency, which I'm not even
16:05pricing in from Malik Willis because I don't believe that the infrastructure that he had in the small sample of Green Bay is right in place in this Miami
16:12Dolphins offense. But if you get any of that efficiency carrying over, then you're then you're just going to have that added on to like the rushing
16:19profile. So, we've been a long time since we had a real cheap quarterback. I think a lot of gamers will talk about,
16:23you know, Kyler in that same boat, you know, being, you know, a guy that you can include in that bucket, too. Uh
16:28maybe one of the guys we'll talk about on this show, uh, you know, coming up for the quarterback flag plants, too.
16:33>> Yeah, that's that's the the best stat I've heard all week. Um, so again, for Rich said it, it's 41 out of 47
16:39quarterbacks who have had a 100 rush attempts or more have finished as a QB.
16:43won uh in was it fantasy points per game per game points per game. That's that's awesome. That's an awesome stat.
16:49>> So, let's go ahead and get it started.
16:50Um and Scott's not dropping any flag plants, but a couple of these guys are Scott's flag plants. So, we're going to
16:56hear Scott's thoughts on some of these guys as well. Really stoked to see you have Christian Watson as one of your
17:03wide receiver flags this year. Uh gets the big contract. We've seen the ADP tick up a little bit. He's flipped guys
17:10like Jameson Williams. He's going alongside a couple guys like DJ Moore, but the price is still right for Christian Watson to deliver in a major
17:18way this year.
17:20>> Well, well, in general, as we like started off, you have these kind of separated by positions. Uh, one of the
17:25things I wrote about last year was the the strength of the wide receiver position really being like wide receiver 20 to wide receiver 35 36ish and wanting
17:34to get like three guys from that bucket.
17:36And this year, I feel like it's it's we're almost running back the same playbook. Uh, so I have like three guys
17:42here, but like your guy is in this bucket. Um, even some guys I'm not going to name specifically by name, like you
17:47know, you got Devonte Adams and Mike Evans, guys that can flirt with double digit touchdowns. We've got the Bears wide receivers, which are exciting. You
17:54know, you've got Jaylen Wadd, who we're not going to talk about, but I know that we all relatively like as well. I mean,
18:00this is just another hot bed, I think, where I want to have, you know, two to four of these guys in this range. Um,
18:08and you know, Christian Watson is the one of the names I picked out for sure because he's getting that injury kind of
18:13priced into him, right? Like he's never been healthy, right? And we all know we've been down this road playing fans football a long time. You're
18:18injuryprone, you're not. The setup for Christian Watson, if we do make it through a season unscathed, though, man, it it it is so intoxicating this year on
18:26a number of levels. Like, one, we know from an efficiency stance like what we're what we're getting. I mean, since he entered the league, he's the wide
18:33receiver 15 in yards per run. He's a wider 17 in fantasy points per outr run.
18:37He's the wide receiver 13 in fantasy points per target. This is a guy that on a per target basis. Just delivers
18:44fantasy points. And now he's set up in a position to have more targets on a number of levels. One, I think the
18:49Packers could outright just throw more this year than they have in years past because the infrastructure is not as great there. The Michael Parsons isn't
18:56going to start the year healthy. Defense could take a step back. The offensive line isn't as good as it's been in years
19:00past. Last year they were really battered, but they are kind of they didn't really add a lot to it this year.
19:05You know, we don't know what's going to happen with this Josh Jacobs stuff. Does he get suspended or he doesn't? Um, so I
19:10think they could throw more just naturally through all those things. And then we remove Dantavian Wixs. We remove Romeo Dobs. Romeo Dobs is the only
19:17Packer that played over 50% of the drop backs last year. And the Packers going to play one to two wide receiver sets.
19:23We know Christian Watson's going to be on the field in those sets. Jaden Reed has run eight total pass routes in his
19:29NFL career in one to two wide receiver sets. To add some context to that, Matthew Golden as a rookie ran 72
19:35routes. Like it's a significant jump to think that Jaden Reed's just going to play in one to two wide receiver sets
19:41even if he sh gets a bump this year.
19:43It's going to be Christian Watson on the field in those sets. We also saw at the end of last year them get Christian
19:49Watson more fantasy smoothing targets.
19:52He used to be a guy in like that Alec Pierian type role. a lot of go routes, a lot of post routes. He still had those
19:57in his portfolio, but we saw him last year careerhigh and out routes run, second highest career rated hitches run, just giving him some more of those
20:05smoothing routes whereas fantasy gamers, he's just not as volatile. Uh, so all of those reasons like I'm really into Christian Watson from an upside play and
20:13the injury discount is still being kind of keeping him lower in this tier than some of the other guys. Yeah, you know,
20:18I have to echo this because Christian Watson is like an all-time fantasy points guy and that hasn't really worked out well for us, but I think it's just
20:26like every year we're going to be on Christian Watson for better or for worse. You see the highest end efficiency since 2022, he ranks 10th in
20:35yards per route run. Uh Ryan and I have a stat. at something like games over if you take all players over that span
20:42games over 66% of the snaps he's like ninth in fantasy points per game. I think a big thing here is is just um
20:52dating back to I don't know the last four years we've never seen we've we've only seen one Packers wide receiver uh
21:00end the season with a route share over 71%.
21:04And so it's like, is Matt Laflur going to do his annoying, frustrating wide receiver by committee thing that caps everyone's ceilings? I don't know that
21:13he can without Dantavian Wixs and without Romeo Dobs. So yeah, maybe this is finally the year it all comes together. Good health, maintaining the
21:22hyperefficiency, uh, more routes run, and yeah, Christian Watson is is potentially an Exodia.
21:30Yeah, I mean Christian Watson had four games with 18 points or more last year in like a limited sample size in the
21:36regular season. And I think when you look at sort of the contingent upside he would have where a lot of people are
21:42chasing for like what running back would step in for Josh Jacobs if Jacobs does miss any time this year. I think they'd
21:49lean more into the passing game. And I think even with Jacobs there the entire season, they have to be a little more
21:54pass happy considering the way that their seasons have ended for the last two years. in very disappointing fashion uh in the NFL playoffs and with the
22:03contract they just gave Christian Watson. Um I think I'm extremely bullish of him at his current cost. Scott, what's a ceiling outcome for Christian
22:10Watson look like for you? Are we talking like top 10 wide receiver year, lead the NFL in touchdown catches the wide
22:17receiver position? Like what's a ceiling season case look like for you?
22:21>> Well, that that's something that um Chris and I have debated. Like I I don't I don't know that he could be a true
22:27like alpha mid-range wide receiver one.
22:31I I think it's going to be on that fringe of high-end wide receiver 2, lowend wide receiver one where there's going to be some frustrating volatility
22:39week to week, but at the at the end of the day, you just count up the fantasy points and it's right there.
22:45>> Rich, anything to add with that?
22:46>> I got one for you.
22:47>> Yeah, go for it. Spicy.
22:49>> I would I would call and I'm going to hit you the with the alltime segue here.
22:53I would say like 2024 Terry McLaren.
22:57>> Yeah, that's a great one.
22:58>> 2024 Terry McLaren was right around 120 targets. I think he had one 118 something in that range. Got had double
23:05digit touchdowns. Uh and then the high efficiency per target. So like that's the range, right? Like yeah, he's not going to be last year's Jackson Sigma
23:12Joe. He's not going to be puka, but somewhere in like that 2024 Terry McLaren range. your historical comp is now our historical comp because that's
23:20such fire, Rich, that I'm gonna I'm I'll cite you, but I'm going to use that one for the rest of the summer. That's a
23:24great one. And I think that's a touchdown upside there. Christian Watson, this is the season for him. You still get access to him in a reasonable
23:32range. I would get some. I think his ADP could trend up uh throughout the rest of the summer. Let's stick at the wide
23:37receiver position. Um and that's a great professional segue because maybe 2024's Terry McLaren is 2026 Terry McLaren.
23:47Yeah, I mean I find myself a really hard guy to quit too. I mean we saw last year just never got on track. The Commanders
23:54had a ton of injuries. He Terry McCorin only played in 10 games. He only appeared on 41% of the offensive snaps.
23:59Ran a route on 47% of the team drop backs. But when he played he was still really effective. I mean over two yards
24:05per out run. He was 14th on the year for guys that ran 100 more routes. When he was on the plays on the field he had 31%
24:12target share, 46% area share. 55% of his targets were a first down or touchdown, which was third in the NFL. And it's
24:19really kind of the marriage of what is changing with the Commanders this year.
24:23I mean, we have David Blau coming in, his first time play caller, but you know, definitely spent time under Dan Campbell, uh, with with Ben Johnson as a
24:32player. And all the things he's talking about, I know he's not technically from the Ben Johnson coaching tree, but he is
24:39doing he's running the same playbook that Ben Johnson did. He's talking about all the same things. I mean, his early quotes this off seasonason have been all
24:46about how much Jaden Daniels is going to play under center. How much more motion and play action they're going to have.
24:51And if you follow like, you know, you know, the sites like this over the past couple years, you'll know like those
24:56have been cheat codes for targets and fantasy efficiency. One of David B's early quotes was, "How do we get how are
25:02we going to get Terry McLaren 10 targets per game?" Like, and given their current roster, they're going to he might be
25:08getting more than that. But we haven't seen, you know, Jaden Daniels, you know, operate, you know, in with this type of,
25:13you know, infrastructure. And we saw it with Ben Johnson with Kale Kale Williams. Kale Williams all through college and one year in the NFL was just
25:20strictly shot static shotgun quarterback. Jaden Daniels has been that quarterback through two years in the NFL. 93% of his dropbacks have been
25:26shotgun. And as a byproduct of that, he's 24th in pre- snap motion rate. He's 18th in play action rate. We're going to
25:33get a big infra big influx there. And the big thing about removing Terry McLaren from the Cliff Kingsbury offense is Terry McLaren in that offense was
25:41just like a static player. He lined up at the line of scrimmage for 85% of his snaps. He played left wide receiver for
25:4775% of snaps out wide. Just did just go out here. We know exactly where he's going to be on the field. Teams can kind
25:53of game plan around that. He's going to be moving around a lot more this year.
25:57He's only run the past two years 13 routes per game at preset motion as a wide receiver 60. So, I look at just
26:04kind of all these moving pieces still not having, you know, big-time target, you know, uh, competition and maybe they add a Brandon Auk or Stefon Digs still.
26:12Um, that's not going to, I think, get in the way of him still being a guy that's still in the same bucket of having like
26:17really high upside per target. Uh, and then being in on your quarterback that you're going to talk about later. So, still find myself finding a lot of
26:24extreme value on Terry McLaren, Scott.
26:26Scott, when we talk about Terry McLaren, I I know you're very very much into him, but I think the exciting thing that Rich
26:32is talking about is sort of the target ceiling where uh the most targets we've ever seen from Terry McLaren was 134 uh
26:40and he had 130 in 2023 was like the most recent one. Are you buying into Terry McLaren as a maybe 155 target player? I
26:49start getting really excited about that prospect. It's interesting to to think of a guy getting his highest targeted season at age 30, but when you look up
26:57the makeup of the roster, you're talking about Rashad White out of the back field, Chika Conquo, Antonio Williams.
27:04The target competition is really minimal for Mcccluren this year.
27:09>> Yeah, as I'm doing my rankings, I debate pros and cons. Here's the upside argument. Here's the downside. And sometimes it's really difficult. This
27:16one was No, this was super easy. Like you said, 2024 he finished sixth in fantasy point in total fantasy points at
27:24the position, but he was 18th in targets. So now you have his OC saying he's going to see a 45% uptick in
27:31targets compared to that year. What he said, you know, as soon as he joined the team, he said, "Hey, this thing's going
27:36to be built around how do we get Terry McLaren 10 targets a game." And he's just doubled and tripled, quadrupled down on that. So yeah, this one's easy.
27:43It's a hyperefficient player who I think now will finally get like alpha wide receiver one levels of target volume.
27:51>> Yeah. And shout out to the chat for being so lit. Uh make sure you hit that like button. And if you're not
27:55subscribed to the channel, hit that subscribe button for more shows like this right here at Fantasy Points YouTube. Uh Rich, we talked about Terry
28:02McLaren and Christian Watson, which are two guys that Scott and I we seem to talk about like every single week cuz
28:08we're both on them. But you're also on DJ Moore. Uh what is the your kind of bullish take here? Is this as simplistic
28:14as Josh Allen clear-cut wide receiver one and that's it or are there other factors for you?
28:21>> Yeah, this one is the one I I expect to have at least some some some push back on more so than the the other two
28:26because this is one is a little more projection and step of faith-based uh I believe than the other ones. And it's
28:33that's not always an avenue where I'm giving out, you know, advice, right? But I I mean I am absolutely terrified of
28:41not having you know Josh Allen this year and it it you know he's the first quarterback taken. So like he's probably
28:46going to not be on as many of my roster as possible just because like they they're they face so many good teams
28:52this year and anytime the Bills have ever faced good teams like we we know what we're doing from a DFS dance. But
28:57you know Morris coming off this down season he's at a real fulcrum point I think of his career. It's like actual an
29:02actual crossroads of his career. Um, if you're holding a candle for me, he did play better to close the end of last
29:06year. He had five touchdowns the final six games. He also played with, I think, like an an injured testicle half the
29:12year. No one really talks about that.
29:13Like, do you remember that?
29:15>> That's the first [laughter] time first time we've used the word the first time we've used the word testicle on Fantasy
29:21Football Daily since I started hosting.
29:23>> We use it all the time on School of Scott. It's like >> There you go. School of Scott. It's like
29:27we lead with that. It's like testicles.
29:29That's it. But I mean, listen, last year I can't because there's some Allen Robinson adjacency here of like Allen Robinson leaving the Bears to the Rams.
29:37So like I understand like there this one could be kind of a trapoor, but like I said, the crossroad stuff playing under
29:42Joe Brady under 20 and 21 re production and then just really playing with Josh Allen, right? Like um you know, this is
29:49one of the most teams that are starve starving for wide receiver one production. Allen hasn't had a wide receiver one since Buffalo moved on from
29:56Stfan Diggs. Obviously, Diggs, you know, ended his run with, you know, Allen and Brady on a sour note, but even using the
30:03games that Stefan Diggs played when Joe Brady took over play calling. Um, Savon Diggs was the wide receiver 18 and expected points per game over that
30:11stretch. So, you're get you're paying like wide receiver 27 28 prices for DJ Moore now. That's a pretty big discount on that if he if he flirts that
30:18ballpark. And then what if the Bills are another one of these teams that I'm just like look from projection stance like
30:23they might throw a lot more this year than they have in previous years.
30:27They've been at like that Packers levels that we talked about. Um, you know, since Brady took over as a play caller,
30:32Buffalo's been pretty conservative. But we've already heard whispers that his hand was being driven a little bit in that scenario. And that would make sense
30:40because, you know, Ken Dorsey was fired for apparently throwing the ball too much that season that Brady took over.
30:45Um, also Buffalo's defense projecting them to take a little bit of a step back this year. Again, their strength of schedule is ramped up. Um, so I'm just
30:53looking at this guy and just this kind of opportunity. We know that these guys that change teams with good quarterback play, like these have been kind of a
31:00skeleton key guy like Pickkins was in this boat last year, right? Um so I'm just kind of keeping the candle lit and
31:07I'm saying if the room is already going to keep one foot out, which I think they are like I expected him to kind of be
31:12around like wide receiver 20 to 22 23 range and he's like floating 27 to 30 range in a lot of these drafts. and to
31:20get Josh Allen's wide receiver one, a player that we still believe could be potentially still talented, like I'm just going to probably, you know, see if
31:27I could get Luci with the football there.
31:29>> Yeah. A good comment from from Derek where uh DJ Moore also had those like manufactured running back rush attempts.
31:37That was under Joe Brady early in his career. So, I wonder if we see that sort of wrinkle return. I've been only taking
31:43DJ Moore in like best baseball when I have Josh Allen. So, I get that. what where it's like building correlation with Allen and I have a bunch of DJ
31:54Moore still in Dynasty in reddraft. I haven't really been clicking that button. I get what you're saying. He does go right alongside Christian Watson
32:01and he goes two picks ahead of Carnell Tate who's a guy that I'm really into uh in terms of wide receiver rankings like
32:07on underdog. Scott, where are you at on DJ Moore? Is he like a structural pick for you? Is he an avoid? Are you
32:14open-minded here? I just feel like I'm not gonna get burned if I don't have a lot of DJ Moore this year. That's like
32:20sort of my feeling, Rich, where there's other guys around him where if I'm drafting for high volume and I don't have some of these guys, I feel like I
32:27might get completely burned. Um, where you at on DJ Moore right now, Scott?
32:31>> Yeah, I'm I'm not really into him. I think that was a good case. You know, I need to look into the the testicle
32:38angle. I haven't looked into that.
32:40>> Be careful what you Google. Be careful what you Google. [laughter] >> Good call. Yeah, you got to go dark mode. Uh
32:46>> yeah, you got to go and you don't want your your like the Google search or the the ad algorithm, everything's going to
32:51get weird, Scott. So, make sure you're very very uh guarded there.
32:54>> Yeah. All right. I appreciate it. Yeah.
32:56And so, like I've never been a DJ Moore guy. I just feel like he's been overrated every year of his career. And
33:02I think that's been true from a fantasy perspective every year but one. He's now 29 years old. He was awful last year. Uh
33:09he was behind Luther Burton, Romo Dunay, Devin Duivere, Coloulston Lovelin, Oli Zakius, Jade Walker, all those guys in targets per route run. So like literally
33:19every single wide receiver who saw a snap, uh he was behind them in targets per route run. Doesn't look like an
33:25alpha to me. Uh he's going to Josh Allen, which I know we're drooling over.
33:29Josh Allen made Gabe Davis look like a thing. And Gabe Davis is so much worse than even like a 45year-old DJ Moore
33:36potentially. Uh, but the flip side of that is, yeah, Joe Brady very runheavy.
33:41Um, and it's it's also just spreading the ball around and then it's also the Matt Laflur thing. It's you you have a
33:48cap route share on all of these guys.
33:50You have this like four-way, fiveway wide receiver by committee situation.
33:54Um, and so yeah, I I'm kind of not into this one, but uh I am in the LA into the last two by a lot and the next one as
34:02well.
34:03>> Guys, we have a a viewer watching right now. Shout out to Jelly who is in Boston watching as part of the Tartan Army. If
34:10you are not checking out what the Scotland fans are doing right now in Boston and in America right now, some of
34:17the greatest sports videos that I've seen coming out of the World Cup are Scotland fans going to like taking over Fenway. Uh they got a win over Haiti.
34:24Now they have a chance to maybe get out of their group here with Morocco and Brazil. I'm gonna be at the Norway Sagal
34:30game in Metife uh this week. So, if you're at the Norway Sagal game at Metife, come over and say what's up. I
34:36know Scott doesn't like the soccer talk, but if you are a sports fan, check out the Scotland fans. Unbelievable stuff.
34:44Uh, some of the stuff there. Uh, >> I literally just sent soccer in the chat. What What are we doing here? And
34:49>> well, the tartan No, this is a you're like, Scott doesn't like the soccer chat.
34:54>> Shout out to the Tartan Army, guys. This is just It's just very cool that we have a little cross flow with the uh with the
34:59World Cup here live on Fantasy Football Daily. And good luck rest of your group there, Jelly Kne. Appreciate the kind words. Uh let's get back to football for
35:06Scott Barrett. You're never going to get that 30 seconds of your life back, Scott, where it was a little little World Cup talk. Um but I will go with
35:13one of my flag plants at the wide receiver position that is also one of Scott's flag plants at the wide receiver
35:18position. And we will get Rich's opinion on this player. Fourthround value in a lot of drafts here, especially like FFPCADP.
35:25Amecha Eggbuka, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, aka Amecha Eggpuka, who's about to go nuts this year in year two. Uh, we saw it, Rich. Last year, he started out the
35:35year, averaged 20.4 points per game through his first five weeks. Ended up getting banged up, played through it, and we saw a massive regression. But
35:44when we look at what Ega Ebuka is poised to be in this Tampa Bay offense, I think there's a chance he goes nuts. I think
35:51we could get a 17 18 point per game type season out of the fourth round with him.
35:56I I am so optimistic and so bullish about this one. I think we're talking about 140 to 150 target range for Igbuka
36:04in year two. Um and I think he's going to be featured in this offense. Uh they've been very clear about him being
36:10in this Z- roll where they're going to move him all around the field, try to find him advantageous matchups. You start dreaming about like Cooper Cup
36:18type usage. Um, I think that there's people really overthinking like what Chris Godwin is now. I think Godwin could be fine this year. I think he
36:26could be like a maybe a 11 point per game type guy and maybe return value at cost, but I don't think he's a threat to
36:33return to the levels we saw in 2024, especially with this new coordinator, not in a Liam Cohen offense. This is Zack Robinson offense. Uh, and I love
36:41the Baker Mayfield angle where Baker Mayfield wants to bag. He wants to get paid. I think we're going to see Baker
36:47Mayfield ripping and running, popping zins on the sideline and looking to get himself 3540 touchdown passes this year and everything runs through Ebuka, Ted
36:56Hurst and TZ Johnson, Kate Uton, none of these guys are a threat to achuka. I think Eggbuka I feel so strongly about
37:04him and Scott I know you do as well.
37:09>> You Scott is on mute.
37:11>> What a jerk. Yeah.
37:12>> The power of live the live television here.
37:14>> Yeah. So, so that's absolutely right.
37:16This is really one of my guys. I just think he got hurt in the second half last year. Baker Mayfield got hurt in
37:22the second half of last year. Worst catchable throw rate in the league. Uh and so it's just this confluence of factors. Uh but the you also saw that
37:31for Ibuka, by the way, his his uh GPS tracking came all the way down. Uh but you're you're seeing whispers, Zack
37:38Robinson talking about him in the Cooper Cup role. Uh, no Mike Evans on this team. So, you know, Baker Mayfield just,
37:46you know, what did you say? Uh, pre-show, Theo is just on the sideline with a he's going to be in the huddle
37:52with with a Zen just absolutely chucking it. Uh, yeah, that's that's exactly what I see playing out as well. Um, what what
37:59are your thoughts, Rich?
38:00>> Yeah, and I have Ibuka over the guys that I talked about, right? Like even my own flags, I have Vigbuka higher than
38:05those guys. Like I value him o over the the three guys that I even brought up uh for a lot of the reasons. Is that a lot
38:12of the same stuff you had? I mean, it is. It's funny as you talk about it not being a Liam Cohen offense. It actually
38:16might be though. I mean, Zack Robinson was with Liam Cohen on the Rams when they when Baker made that pit stop
38:23there, and then Liam Cohen went to the, you know, went to college first, then went, you know, made it back and then
38:29was the offensive coordinator for Tampa Bay. So, it is there is a lot of a potential adjacency into what this offense is going to look like compared
38:35to the 2024 Bucks versus the 2025 Bucks.
38:39This is a team we just have to project to be a lot healthier, you know, especially, you know, on the offensive
38:43line where they got just completely, you know, obliterated. I mean, Tristan Worfs only played 12 games. Cody Mock missed the season after week two. Uh Luke got I
38:51played think played in 11 games. And then no Mike Evans being gone is just, you know, is just massive here. I mean,
38:57with Evans off the field, uh last year, 378 routes for Acha Ibuka, he was targeted, uh, you know, on 26.2% of
39:06those routes, just under two yards per out run. And if the we were talking about like the opening the season, it
39:10would have been even better. It's just there's a little bit of tail off where he got hurt, Baker got hurt, the offense
39:15was definitely a shell of itself to close the year. But this is a player that a first round pick came in, was
39:20productive out of the out of the bat, and now has the opening of leading this team in targets. I also agree with you,
39:27too. It's what's what I find interesting is that, you know, a lot of people are using the Chris Godwin in the slot stuff
39:32versus the 2024, but a lot of people are ignoring kind of the talk that like Chris Chris Godwin might be preserved to
39:39playing more just kind of 11 personnel and not be playing in a lot of uh two wide receiver stuff. It might be more
39:46Ted Hurst and the X and more Jaylen McMillan working in. So you might not have that full run out for Godwin if
39:52he's just playing kind of more restricted to the 11 personnel stuff and more slot only stuff in terms of preservation for him as well. So that's
39:59another way he just doesn't get back to the gay 2024 stuff that we saw from Godwin before he had that nasty injury.
40:06Yeah, let us know in the comments what you think about Amecha Eggbuka. And we're and any other wide receivers that you're flag planning, drop them in the
40:13chat right now. We're going to move over to running back. We don't have too many names to talk about, but another player
40:19that I know Scott is really into is your flag plant running back that you want to discuss today. Rich, let's talk about
40:25David Montgomery. Are there parallels between David Montgomery 2026 and Joe Mixon in 2024 in terms of
40:36fantasy football upside as sort of a focal point of the Houston Texans offense?
40:42>> Yeah, absolutely. Potentially. I mean, and you know, I just realized I just did Terry Mccclure and DJ Moore and David
40:48Montgomery in a row. Like, a lot of boomer takes here uh are flying off the board. I promise they all won't won't be
40:54like this. We'll have some more fun players outside of Christian Watson. But >> lean lean into it, bro. It's it's it's
40:59now like the best ball zoomers influencing ADP. So, there's legitimate value in these old heads. And I and it just was a product of last year is that
41:08David Montgomery just wasn't as valued as Jir Gibbs. But this was a player that was still when he was on the field a
41:14very productive back. Uh four and a half yards per carry. That was 21 out of 49 backs with 100 plus attempts. 40%
41:21success rate which was 24th actually higher than Jir Gibbs 2. Uh 17th in yards after contact. But the real thing is the scheme fit and we seen, you know,
41:30in Nick Kayley year one, they he brought over that same man gap run concept that the the Rams had developed under Shawn
41:37McVey and they wanted to run that. The offensive lineman they got rid of, they got rid of their worst man gap uh
41:42offensive lineman, Titus Howard. Uh Juice Scrugs is out of there. They are throwing a lot of bodies at those positions. We'll see if they can fill
41:49it. They're they're they're definitely throwing a number of guys at that. But in his first season as offensive player for the Texans, Nick Kayy, uh Nick Chub
41:59was second highest in the league in man gap run rates, Woody Mars was six. They were second behind only the Rams uh in
42:06those runs. And on man gap runs, David Montgomery 10th in success rate, 50% success rate. Led all running backs in EPA per rush. Like this was a they they
42:16s sought out David Montgomery for this role. Uh Woody Marks not really I think a huge threat here. They've been talking
42:23him up as a three down back now. Like you know this is a guy that can catch the football at a capacity where if
42:29you're giving him dump offs, you're not going to do stuff like split him out wide and do things like that. But and
42:34then this is for the archetype plays on a team that has arguably the best defense in the NFL like right like game
42:41script for him is going to be in place.
42:43So touchdown equity is here. It's just a guy that I think that's probably going to end up looking a little bit
42:48undervalued. kind of like how you brought up Joe Mixon that year where you're like, "Oh, you're getting this guy as your RB RB2, your RB3 flex in
42:55some spots depending how you build and he's probably gonna be flirting with like high-end RB2 uh production on a weekly level."
43:03No, I mean, I love it. And Scott, you've talked about David Montgomery. Uh it's such an easy click. I really the only
43:09reason to fade him is his age. And it feels like whenever there's always a little bit of like apprehension when you
43:17get into like the classic dead zone in fantasy football and it's an older back, but with Montgomery, it feels like he's
43:24got a lot of juice left. I think Houston thinks so. And I think leaning into him sort of protects CJ Strad. They're a
43:31very physical team, too, where I think that's they really want to impose their will on both sides of the ball. And I
43:37think it begins and ends with David Montgomery. Scott, you've talked about him a lot. sort of share your bullish take on him this year.
43:43>> Yeah, you you just look at what Joe Mixon did when healthy two years ago. It was incredible usage. It was top three
43:50in touches per game. That good production as well. David Montgomery, the they keep talking about him as a bellcout. That's what Dan Campbell said
43:58when he traded him. That's what the new regime has said. And uh yeah, I see it.
44:02I think Woody Marx is awful. And I think David Montgomery is legitimately a better pass catcher. uh just two years ago he not only led all running backs in
44:11yards per route run but he was at 2.51.
44:14Almond Ross St. Brown was at 2.53. It was really good number and that's something Brett has always talked about really underrated runner. He just
44:21understands what he has to do and does that well. Um and you know certainly on the ground just has that workhorse
44:27pedigree. So yeah and like Rich said it's a great fit. So tremendous value here with with David Montgomery. is really really safe to me with a very
44:37underrated ceiling as well.
44:39>> And Rich, when we look at like structural drafts right now, do you prefer David Montgomery to like that group of younger year 2 backs the and
44:49I'll put them all in a in a in a cluster. The Cam Scataboo, Bashel Tutin, Quinnshan Judkins, Trayvon Henderson group that goes sort of near enough to
45:00David Montgomery.
45:02>> Yeah, absolutely. I will say the one guy out of there that does still give me I I don't always draft but that still gives
45:06me FOMO for other gamers drafting is still Trayvon just his range of outcomes is scary still like you know it still
45:12scares me when I don't get him but definitely like I think because all the arguments you would make for like a
45:16Judkins are similar for Montgomery right and he's just in a better infrastructure uh similar type of runner uh still actually has to have probably a larger
45:24proof of concept as a pass catcher than David Montgomery has this career too so I prefer him I do like Scataboo a lot
45:30like Scott it's my son you know we talk about every time I come on the show.
45:33Little nervous just about, you know, the the, you know, coming back from the injury. Things seem to be trending positively, but it's still a scary
45:39injury to be coming back from. Uh, so I still do prefer him over those guys. I have him over those guys.
45:44>> Yeah. And Scott, >> I also prefer him to Javvante Williams, which is not a take you see often either.
45:49>> Now, that I I might push back on that one. That's That's spicy. That's spicy right there. Scott, where are you at on
45:54Javvante versus David Montgomery?
45:56>> No. Yeah. I I to me it sounds like this year Dallas wants a thunder and lightning backfield and they just
46:02couldn't do that because Jaden Blue was just like an absolute [ __ ] But he's he's kind of figured things out this
46:08year and uh but yeah, Cam Scataboo it's like all reports indicate they're going to give him a Bellcow workload. He catches the ball really well. He's a
46:18really good goal linebacker. I don't know what more you can ask for for a player I've always come to as Peyton
46:25Hillis. that one year Pton Hillis was on steroids which which was awesome. So, uh, love the player, love, uh, this off
46:32season for him. Uh, and so I like that take. Yeah, I agree with it.
46:36>> Yeah, let us know in the chat what you think about David Montgomery, uh, this year, but I think we're all pretty
46:41bullish. Not the Javvante Williams one, I'll take him ahead of Montgomery. I agree with you on Scataboo, but Montgomery a really easy click right
46:48now. My flag plant running back is Bree Hall. and Bree Hall. Uh, Scott, we took him together in that $350 FFPC league we
46:56did. Um, and I can't stop clicking the button. It feels like such an edge pick in the third round when you get access
47:03to Bree Hall, a guy that we were taking towards the very top of drafts in previous seasons. Last year, he had his
47:11first thousand-y rushing season as a pro, and we saw the reception total regress down to 36. I wonder if we can
47:19get him back to around the 57 reception total we saw in 2024. I think the dream of like 70 plus like we saw back in
47:272023, that's probably not there, but I think 36 will end up looking like an outlier year for him when we look at the
47:34how the next couple years are going to go. He had 17 carries of 15 yards or more last year. Displayed the
47:41explosiveness that I know we were worried about maybe he he lost a little bit previously. And when we look at the
47:47Jets offensive line, they just extended Joe Tipman. They've invested in the offensive tackle position in multiple seasons in a row. I think Bruce Hall is
47:56a screaming value. And I think structurally when you go past Bree Hall, you're looking at the guys like Travis ETN, Javvante Williams, you start get
48:07it's like Bree Hall is like the end of like the locked in running backs right before sort of like the potential dead
48:14zone guys. So, I think Bruce Hall makes so much sense structurally. I think he's got a chance to be a top 15 type value
48:21and I'm able to get him at the beginning of the third round. He's just available at every single two-3 turn. Uh so,
48:29Scott, like the the way we did it, you end up with a two running back start. I think a lot of managers, you're able to
48:35get your two running back start without having to go running back running back in round one and round two. Uh, so it
48:41gives me an edge and access to some strong wide receiver values, potentially getting a Brock Bowers in a regular PPR format. So, there's so many things I can
48:50do when I get access to Bree Hall, but I just love Bree Hall, the player, and I think it's he's going to end up looking
48:56like one of the better values on the board when we get to the end of the season. Rich, I know you have some like
49:02bullish optimism about the Jets offense as well. And what are your thoughts on Bree Hall?
49:07Yeah, I mean I I think from a basketball stance, I've been drafting the Jets. I think they are an intriguing team in
49:14terms of just kind of potentially being undervalued. I actually think their offensive personnel is is relatively strong. Obviously, you have to squint at
49:20quarterback, but I think Gino Smith is in a better spot than he was last year.
49:25I mean, their offensive line is really solid. They were one of the the units that stayed intact last year. They they
49:30have two young tackles. You know, Josh Myers is a really good player. Joe Titman is a really good guard as well.
49:34So, the offensive line's in place. You have Garrett Wilson, Adai Mitchell, you know, you in infuse, you know, Omar Cooper, Kenyan, Sadiq, I'm like the
49:42pieces are here like for this to kind of be good. The one thing that scares me from a reddraft stance with both Garrett
49:47Wilson and Bree Hall is just the potential that the Jets don't win enough games and then we do see Klay Kubnik
49:55draw starts at some point. That's the one thing like is are do they just win enough real games to keep Gino Smith on
50:00the field? And that's the one thing that scares me from a reddraft perspective because if we do see Klay Kubnik start
50:06games, it's going to be in crunch time for our fantasy teams. And that's the scary proposition. But I have been taking shots on these guys in these best
50:13balls for the event that Gino does get a longer leash or maybe potentially even gets the whole season because I do think
50:19the talent is actually one of the better off like it's it's not just the Jet stigma that's followed them around for a
50:24couple years. I think from a talent perspective, this is the most talented offense they've had in several seasons.
50:29>> I'm actually with you, man. I like I'm I'm getting clowned on within the fantasy points Discord for saying it, but I'm I'm bullish on this Jets
50:38offense. I think all these pass catchers you've given Gino Smith sets him up perfectly to do what he does best, which
50:45is play point guard.
50:46>> Yeah. Yeah. I And I I the one thing with him is he's one of the most pressure sensitive quarterbacks ever. And so a
50:53lot I think hinges on this Jets offensive line, but if it's competent as opposed to the Raiders worst in the league by a mile, um, yeah, this could
51:02be, you know, one of the not not Texans rookie years CJ Stra, but like one of the these like, you know, darkh horse
51:10really surprise offenses that are competent when everyone else is writing it off as dead. I want to dig into Breeze Hall a little bit. And I I don't
51:17know exactly where I'm going to fall on this right now. very bullish, but I think I'm waiting on some coach speak to
51:24really confirm things. I'm with you, Theo, in that I'm a big believer in his talent after the 2024 season. I think
51:30that December, January, I was saying this is MattForte 2.0 and this it's coming. You know, the big blowup monster year is coming, but then last year they
51:40were talking about wanting like a really gross committee and it kind of scared me off of Bree Hall. But heading into that
51:462025 season, he had 200 plus carries and 75 75 plus targets in back-to-back years. And that is just so rare and so
51:57valuable. And then there's been some coach speak this off season. Uh they signed him to a big contract to indicate that okay, they're finally gonna, you
52:06know, have him go back to being the bellcow. You know, 250 carries, 75 plus targets. And then there was some quotes
52:14last week that uh Rich Samini put out that said Brillin Allen it's gonna be a three-headed monster this backfield and that scared me off. Ryan Heath is way
52:26out on Bree Hall. So I have you as like the good angel on my shoulder being liked draft Bree Hall. Then I have Ryan
52:32Heath like worm tongue from Lord of the Rings just like he's a bust. He's avoid him. Uh my good friend Codespeak Index
52:39DM'd me uh and and said, "Hey, that's that's a misquote. This is just typical like content aggregation BS." Uh the real quote from the Codespeak Index
52:50Discord is uh was basically Yeah, Brilan Allen, he's a guy. He's here. He's on the team. Um you know, I'm looking
52:58forward to seeing getting out there in camp and being part of that three-headed monster, as I call them. To me, that
53:03really doesn't indicate like they're they're going to give him 12 touches per game and they're going to give Bree 14 touches per game. So, yeah, I think
53:12that's that's a little overblown, but still, this is something we need to monitor through August. Make sure there's there's no doubling down from
53:20Aaron Glenn on this. Or maybe there's instead a vote of confidence on this really talented running back that he just signed to a big extension.
53:28Yeah, I I I'm I think it's interesting and I do think a lot of that stuff gets taken out of context. I think the way
53:34that it would go is if Bree Hall was injured, Brilen Allen would have a really sizable role and Isaiah Davis would also take over like some of the
53:42receiving work. I I know Graham Barfield when we broke down each and every backfield and we also broke down each and every uh target tree. Graham has
53:51optimism that Bree Hall could have a 70 to 80 target season this year. So, I I'm really optimistic on him. I'll look
53:58forward to hearing Ryan Heath sort of talk about Bree Hall throughout the summer as well, but I think he's a player that gets you a really strong
54:06structural pick and potential upside and you're able to avoid sort of the dead zone. So, a lot of stuff to like there
54:12with Bree Hall. Let's pivot over to quarterback. And I think there's an interesting one here uh with Bo Nicks.
54:20Uh Bo Nicks is entering year three and there's been some parallels here where Denver gets a wide receiver for him and
54:28we've seen sort of some of the Denver media compare this to Josh Allen getting Stfan Diggs in year three. It felt like
54:35a like a throwaway quote but I think there's something to it. A high pedigree wide receiver to now play opposite Courtland Sutton. Guys like Troy uh Troy
54:45Franklin and Pat Bryant they've drafted over the last couple years. But it feels like Bo Knicks, who was outstanding for fantasy football as a rookie, doesn't
54:54really have any sort of juice right now in terms of ADP or enthusiasm. But Rich, you're on them.
55:01>> Yeah. And I was completely out on him last year at cost. This year the cost is very, you know, alluring. I think, you
55:08know, paired with the the infrastructure, the the team scheme, and we'll see what, you know, what what Davis Webb brings in terms of a play
55:14call. They just extended Shawn Payeyton uh this week, too. But players to open their career, uh, first two years, 25 passing touchdowns, 300 rushing yards,
55:22Bon Knicks, Russell Wilson. That's the list. Uh, quarterbacks that have had over 300 fantasy points their first two years of their career. It's Bo Knicks,
55:29Justin Herbert, and Cam Newton. That's the list. Uh, we're getting a pretty big discount, I think, here on a guy that
55:34has shown ceiling, is getting a locked in wide receiver. Remember, last year Denver rotated all their receivers outside of Courtland Sutton. Now, we're
55:42going to have basically two guys on the field, uh, you know, full full-time. Two guys that we believe in, uh, and a
55:50player that I definitely believe fits their scheme really well. I mean, when when Denver threw the ball to wide receivers last year, I mean, they were
55:55second in the league in screen rate, they were third in go ball rate, and they were 12th in uh, rate of crossing
56:00routes. Like, these are all areas where Jaylen Wadd can come in and really contribute right in the ecosystem and be a better player than guys like Troy
56:08Franklin and Pat Bryant was in year one.
56:10But the interesting thing is like the ankle stuff and the addition of Waddle might actually force Bicks to play some more quarterback this year. And to me,
56:19that's kind of exciting. So last year, uh, Boon Knicks had the, uh, lowest NFL drop back rate in the pocket. Uh, last
56:26year, 68.5% of his passes were in the pocket. Well, the thing is when this dude got outside the pocket, he was
56:32nightmare. Like Caleb Williams has a little bit of this, too, despite all the exciting plays you see from Caleb Williams. Outside of the pocket, Bon
56:39Knicks was 28th in quarterback rating, 28th in completion rate, uh 28th in yards for pass temp, but when he stayed in the pocket, played in rhythm, he was
56:47the 14th in quarterback rating, eighth in completion rate. He's still 20th in in YPA because, you know, a lot of these
56:53are quick hitters and stuff for him, but he went from 27th to interception rate outside of the pocket to seventh. Uh
56:58didn't turn the ball over. So, it's like, man, does the addition of Jaylen Waddle and maybe just if he isn't able
57:03to use his legs early in the season like he is prone to, he just plays some actual quarterback and we get a little
57:09bit of more upside there as a passer than we've seen the uh the previous two years as well. So, he's a guy I think
57:15based on what we've gotten the first years for him is discounted and then also potential, you know, growth that we see from him with the addition of Jaylen
57:21Wadd uh you know, and just development as a passer.
57:27>> Yeah, I don't I I thought on I to me it just feels like a baseball take um where like I don't I don't know
57:36that he has that upside to lean into your argument though like I I've been a Bo Knicks hater and he's finished as a
57:42low-end QB1 in back-to-back seasons despite over the last two years ranking bottom 12 in yards per attempt completion percentage over expectation
57:51catchable throw rate offtarget throw rate hero throw rate uh and still lowend QB1 part of that is he led all quarterbacks and drop backs last year. I
58:00think the big thing is really it's just Shawn Peyton is like the goat QB whisperer. You saw it with a 43-year-old
58:08Drew Brees who couldn't throw past the sticks. You saw it with Teddy Bridgewwater, Jameus Winston, Trevor Simeon, all these guys putting up
58:15low-end QB1 production. And now you have David Blau coming coming in saying he wants to push the pace of play even
58:21higher. You have Jaylen Wadd there. Uh, but to me, I look at the quarterback position, which looks incredibly deep.
58:28Uh, and I don't and I don't think Bo Nicks has that, you know, top three quarterback upside. Maybe you disagree, but I see Malik Willis going much later
58:38who has that. I see Kyler Murray going much later. Who has that? So, um, I I don't really agree with this one, but
58:45but I I think from a baseball perspective, sure, he's he's probably going to beat his ADP.
58:51>> Yeah. QB15 on underdog. feels like that's a good price for him. I think structurally makes some sense. Um, but hey, he got he got drafters as a rookie.
59:00Maybe this is the year three where he takes a big leap. And I am very bullish about about Jaylen Wadd and the
59:05potential impact he can have on this offense. The other quarterback though I think Scott is going to agree with in a
59:12major way and it's Justin Herbert. Rich, you've talked about your enthusiasm for this Chargers offense on multiple times with Scott and I this off season. Uh,
59:21and Herbert just feels like such an easy click right now. Quarterback nine on underdog.
59:28>> We can make the argument that, you know, Justin Herbert was already going to be a top five quarterback last year before
59:32Joel got hurt. Uh, and we can talk about the the offensive line and everything, but it really is as simple as this. This
59:38is an offensive system that has gotten efficiency from guys like Jimmy Garopppolo, Brian Greasie, Matt Shaw to a tongue of Aoa and to a tongue Valoa,
59:48even as bad as it ended with Mike McDaniel, had at least a 4.8% touchdown rate every year of his career. He
59:54actually has had over a four and a half percent touchdown rate the last three years. Patrick Mahomes hasn't had one since 2022. uh Nick Mullen, Sam Darnold
60:02these past few years, Derek Carr, Kurt Cousins, anytime the Shanahan coaching tree, and I would remove the McVey coaching tree because, you know, Mike
60:10McDaniel comes from more of the Shanahan inside where he's playing a fullback, tighter splits, although you know, McVey flipped to that last year, but uh
60:18anytime that this system has had a quarterback that's actually like we believe is a talented quarterback, like that guy is just absolutely eviscerated.
60:25Like I mean Aaron Rogers won two MVPs in this system. Matt Ryan won an MVP in this system. Like, it's as simple as
60:32that, man. You gotta go back to like John Elway, like when this systems had like this type of dual threat guy, too,
60:37right? Like a guy that has this type of arm strength and mobility. It's as simple as that for me. Like it that's
60:43all that's where it stops. Justin Herbert, smash him.
60:47>> Well, there's this quote that's been going around on Twitter, which is a Rich Rebar quote, and it's something along the lines of, hey, like what what's the
60:54cheat code? is like every year we want a Mc Shanahan quarterback and this is far and away the best quarterback a MC
61:01Shanahan coach has ever had. Right.
61:04>> Abs. Absolutely.
61:06>> So I I got off the plane um a couple months ago for my wife's cousin's wedding in New Jersey where betting's
61:13legal. First thing I did I bet Justin Herbert to win MVP. I bet the Chargers to win the Super Bowl. You look at
61:20Herbert splits last year with without Joe Alt. Like legitimate MVP overall QB1 by fantasy points per game in games Joe Alt played more than 10 snaps. And let's
61:31let's keep in mind he also didn't have Rashawn Slater, another Pro Bowl tackle.
61:35So that like it's it's kind of just like your season's over when you lose two Pro Bowl tackles. Uh but he's getting them
61:41back healthy. He's getting this play caller upgrade. Um he he's not a true Konami code, but over the last two years
61:49combined, he averages just 0.001 fewer rushing attempts per game than Drake May. Something like just 1.4 fewer rushing yards per game. So, uh yeah, I'm
62:01I'm in on Justin Herbert and I like this take.
62:03>> Yeah, to quote the chat here, Motion Man Famous Point said, "To be fair, Matt Ryan, when MVP because Matt Ryan is one
62:10of the best quarterbacks of all time."
62:11Yeah, that was the take. That's the point. Like when you actually give this system a really good quarterback, it's it's gang busters.
62:21>> By the way, uh Motion Man is a is a known uh Falcons homer. So that's that's part of that.
62:26>> Ah Herbert had a 498 rushing yards last year. And Scott, I'm glad you you pointed out the rushing upside here. Um
62:35everything is sort of the vibes are just perfect in LA right now. like all of like the the supporting weapons where
62:42you have Alec Engold, you bring Charlie Kolar, you bring in David and Jooku, Brennan Thompson, they draft this guy with elite speed on top of all the guys
62:50that could be fantasy football relevant.
62:52I think there's a chance this offense is just going to be like a top three scoring offense and Herbert will produce
62:58in a major major way. I think we could be looking at like a a dream season where you're talking about like 35
63:05passing touchdowns, a ton of passing yardage, and he still supports uh pretty strong rushing production like Scott talked about. So, for me, Herbert at
63:14quarterback 9, it's such an easy click.
63:17It feels like we're almost taking him uh pretty close to his floor and it's not baking in enough upside. This Chargers
63:24offense, I think, could just go to the moon this year. So, all in on Herbert.
63:28Um, and Herbert's such a good value in ADP, but two other guys that I want to flag plant here that I think are just
63:34exceptional values in ADP. Scott, we've talked about Caleb Williams, and we took him in the eighth round. He's sometimes available in the ninth round, but Drake
63:43May last year was QB3 and points per game. Uh, and you've got Jaden Daniels, who was Scott's Exodia quarterback in
63:52uh, 2024 and was a league winner at the position. Both of these guys are like living in the seventh round in formats
64:00like the FFPC.
64:02Look at what happened in the off season for Drake May. Drake May, they go ahead and sign Romeo Dubs. They draft Eli
64:10Raridan, a mega athletic tight end to to sort of compliment Hunter Henry and then they trade for an alpha wide receiver
64:16one and AJ Brown. The offensive line is a year older there and Drake May is still only 23 years old and there's just
64:24I and people will say Theo, the guy's like QB5, QB6, but there's no takes on Drake May being a potential QB1 overall
64:32out there. It feels like more of a structural value than a guy that could break fantasy. Why can't Drake May be
64:38better next year? He had the most passes over 20 yards of any quarterback in football last year, and now the weapons
64:46are much improved. Not to mention Kyle Williams a year older and Kahan Booty looked like he'd be gone. He still could
64:53be gone, but things are looking like they're head in the right direction between the Patriots and Booty. So like his complimentary receiver receivers are
65:01going to be better as well. I'm so into Drake May. And then when you talk about Jaden Daniels, like Jaden Daniels was
65:07exceptional as a rookie, 891 rushing yards, six rushing scores, and was lights out in terms of his accuracy.
65:16like Jaden Daniels. It's it's almost like a post hype sleeper year where last year people were making arguments that Jayen Daniels could be the QB2 in points
65:25per game, the QB1 in points per game, and now you're getting him at sort of a discounted price. I also am very
65:31enthusiastic, as is Ryan Heath, and I know also Rich Reebar on David Blau uh being like a really really effective OC
65:39in year one. So, both of these guys in round seven make so much sense to me.
65:45Yeah, I love it. Run it back with the Exodus. Uh, like you said, Drake May, what I'm looking at, was second last
65:52year in fantasy points per game. We talked about the big upgrade for Bon Knicks and Jaylen Waddle. AJ Brown, massive upgrade. So, it's, you know,
65:59what is his ceiling? What is it? His floor seems like a steal round seven.
66:03And then, yeah, Jaden Daniels was a lost year last year, but when healthy as a rookie, he was what, QB1, QB2 by fantasy
66:10points per game. Uh my whole thing is just like the quarterback positions never felt this deep and it always kind of feels deep and I know you can get
66:20tremendous value later and so it really comes down to the running backs and wide receivers available in that round seven but if there isn't someone I'm really in
66:28love with I don't have pro a problem going with Drake May there or going with the Jaden Jaden Daniels there.
66:36>> And Rich thoughts on these two guys. I mean, I have QB2 and QB3, so I mean >> Wow. Yeah. [laughter]
66:44>> And where do you have Herbert?
66:45>> Uh, I have Herbert QB6.
66:49>> I like it. I like it.
66:50>> We We're all pretty >> Herbert at cost is my favorite quarterback at cost like just because you get the blend, but I told you like I
66:57I know that like everyone's kind of saying wait on quarterback this year, but like man, I I think with just the
67:02you know, Lamar and Jaden Daniels coming back healthy this year, it could be we could get back to a larger gap at the
67:07front. I told you I'm terrified of Josh Allen this year. Like and and and like I said, I won't have him, but like they
67:12face so many good teams and it just feels like anytime the Bills have to make the plane out of Josh Allen that he
67:17just goes so nuts. Like I'm I'm just It scares me not having him. Um but man, >> in games they need Josh Allen to be
67:25Superman. He is Superman. And like from a fantasy perspective, my >> he doesn't even matter if he's bad. like the Denver game like he argu he he
67:32arguably played one of his worst games the season last year in that you know uh divisional round against Denver and just
67:38still put up a zillion fantasy points.
67:40>> Yeah.
67:40>> And Drake May has the I think he's the one quarterback I think that has the most parallels to it could be like a
67:46Josh Allen runout. It's just we haven't seen the Patriots utilize Drake May in the isolated run game like the Bills will with Josh Allen. Like it's all
67:55scramble stuff for Drake May right now still in the run game. Whereas like we know Josh Allen, they get inside the
68:01five or like the game's on the line like it's this is when he's run they're running designed Josh Allen Rons.
68:08I and I agree with you Scott like on the depth of the quarterback position when you talk about like Justin Herbert in
68:12round 10, Trevor Lawrence in round 10, but when I look at like Jaden Daniels and Drake May, the only way that they're
68:19not going to pay off at a seventh round price tag is if they get injured. And the hit rates for some of those wide
68:25receivers and running backs, even the guys we're really into, the hit rates for those kind of guys into in terms of
68:31like round seven, it's like the value to me just lends itself to the quarterback position. I know maybe you're not quite
68:37as high on like Joe Burrow, but he's also available in that range and there's some correlation with, you know, Higgins or or or Chase or even Chase Brown for
68:45that matter. So, like I feel like the seventh round, it just feels like a round where I know I'm going to get
68:50exceptional quarterback value and Drake May and Jaden Daniels seem to be available there in that range a lot. I even got Jaden Daniels at like the 801
68:59in an FFPC 350. It kind of feels like stealing if the guy can stay healthy.
69:04Um, and make sure again you check out Scott and Ryan discussing quarterbacks.
69:08It's the previous episode of School of Scott. You can watch it right as the previous video if you're checking this one out on YouTube. Let's move into the
69:16tight end position. And Rich, you have some really, really fun ones. And I was thrilled to see you're on the Isaiah
69:23likely bandwagon with me. Um, I've been I've been hyping Isaiah likely, I feel like way too much. It's almost becoming like a meme. I talk about him on too
69:30many shows. I've talked about him on Dynasty Life. I've talked about him with Scott. I've talked about him in internal meetings uh with over here at Fantasy
69:37Points. Like, this is the Isaiah Likely season.
69:41Yeah, we hope so. Uh it to me, I'll tell you likely, it's really just he checks the objective boxes that I look for when
69:48I'm waiting on tight ends. I mean, uh guys that that change teams, you know, um that get more opportunities you want
69:55to check for. But since 2010, 64% of all tight end one scorers have been either the first or second pass catcher on
70:02their team. We have pretty good, you know, from a projection stance, like Isaiah likely looks to potentially be at least minimum, you know, target number
70:10two in this offense and potentially higher depending what happens to Malik Neighbors. I think the ancillary receivers do cannibalize each other a
70:17little bit in terms of where they win.
70:19You know, Darnell Mooney, Darius Sllayton, and Malachi Fields, I think, all win in a similar area of the field that kind of caps them from like one of
70:26them breaking out and maybe just different pockets of the season those guys are kind of going. I think from a consistency stance likely is going to be
70:33more involved. And then when you also look at um only 19% of all tight end ones selected after their team's wide
70:40receiver two have finished as a tight end one on the year likely goes after Malik Neighbors. He goes before all the
70:46other pass catchers. So he just checks those boxes. Um and then if you look at for guys to beat their finish and finish
70:51as top 12 scorer, 64% were selected of their team's wide receiver, too. So he just checks those boxes. I know Matt
70:57Naggie gets a a bad run. And I'm not a Matt Naggie fan or truther by any, you know, terms, but like this is a guy that
71:03does utilize a lot of multiple tight end sets. So even if Theo Johnson is is playing snaps, I think that it's going
71:09to be a huge run out for him, uh, you know, in terms of offensive scheme, just being on the field. And then Jackson
71:15Dart was right around league average in terms of targeting tight ends last year and he was top 10 in accuracy rate, but
71:21his guys dropped the ball, man. They they left they dropped the church's money. Uh, and that's what happened with Theo. he is top five uh in drop rate uh
71:28for tight end targets. Uh not you, Theo, other Theo. Uh but yeah, so it's just like him just being at the price point
71:34he is and just checking those objective boxes uh are why he's just on my radar.
71:39So Scott, are we starting to break you down a little bit? And I'll even say that we have some of the best FFPC and
71:44NFC drafters watching the show right now. Shout out to Steve G who's angry about us talking about Isaiah likely too much right here on Fantasy Points
71:54because his ADP is shooting way up.
71:56Steve was taking him in round 11. Now he's up to the sixth round now in FFPC.
72:01Scott, have we broke you down at all?
72:02Are you ready to jump on the Isaiah Likely bandwagon?
72:05>> I you you've definitely uh I feel like I was never anti-Isaiah likely. Um, no, certainly in FFPC uh leagues he's a he's a good value and
72:16yeah, I I'm into it. I mean, he was kind of like Harold Fannon before Harold Fannon, not like to that same degree,
72:23but uh small school tight end with like in an insane production profile coming out and whenever Mark Andrews wasn't there, he was always a monster. Um, and
72:34then even just in terms of fantasy points per route run, you know, he he was super hyperefficient and now you have Giants beat writers saying, "Hey,
72:42Isaiah likely might lead this team in targets depending on when Malik Neighbors comes back." So, yeah, I don't think I was ever anti-Isa Isaiah likely.
72:50And more and more I'm I'm hopping on board with you guys, but he's he's not my Exodia tight end. I do have one for
72:56sure. Um, but but it's not likely. So, this guy won't probably be Scott's Exodia tight end because he's going in the second round in PPR leagues, uh, and
73:07he's a firstround pick in tight end premium. But even though we've been talking about guys not necessarily with first round values here, I've got to put
73:14Brock Bowers as a flag plant, it just feels more and more like we're going to get the Brock Bowers season that I think
73:22people that really believe in Brock Bowers are are ready for. When you look at Clint Kubak's scheme, I think we're going to get a lot of the Jackson Smith
73:30and Jigba usage when it comes to Bowowers. Scott, I know we took him in our startup uh in our in our FFPC
73:37Dynasty startup draft at the fifth overall pick and it was a superflex league. So, I know you're in on just how
73:43exceptional a talent Brock Bowers can be, but I think this could end up being a 20 point per game season in regular
73:49PPR leagues. I think Bowowers is about to go absolutely nuts this year. I really believe in the scheme. I believe in all the first read rate target share
73:59stuff is going to correlate in a major way with Bowowers and Rich. It's a tight end that we've seen put up exceptional
74:05spike weeks. So, I think he could deliver in like an unbelievable way. And I think structurally it's a great pick because I'm getting that sort of wide
74:15top five wide receiver production at the tight end position and I'm getting it towards the tail end of round two in
74:22formats like NFC, formats like underdog and it allows me to sort of build my team around that Brock Bower selection.
74:30So, I'm sort of all about it. Um, I think Bower is to the absolute moon this year. Where are you at on this one,
74:36Rich?
74:37>> I mean, I'm in I'm in on the player. I don't draft a lot of Bowers because structurally I don't really like my
74:42teams when I take them. And there's a couple pull downs that like, you know, I I keep kind of glomming on to for the
74:48cost. You know, one is I brought up on the show, I think, when we did this the first time is that there's never been a
74:53tight end one attached to a rookie quarterback that's played half the year.
74:56We typically see a drop in production. I know that there's a narrative out there that rookies target their tight ends, but that's actually not true. Uh, and we
75:03we typically see a drop in fantasy points even for wide receivers and tight ends. Uh, we've only had three guys finish as a top three tight end attached
75:09to a rookie quarterback that started more than half the games. Maybe we don't. So, the FOMO as as a player because Brock Bowers, I think, is going
75:18to have like a a Kelsey run at some point of his career where he just dominates the position for like several
75:23years in a row and it could be starting now. I just don't know if this is it because what brought the rookie stuff? I
75:28also think the Raiders want to they want to just be extremely more balanced this year like under Clint Kubak. They just
75:34want to they want to lean on more JTY.
75:36They add Tyler Linderbomb. They're going to get Colton Miller back. They're to get Jackson Powers Johnson back. And if you look at the correlation to routes
75:42run and fantasy points in tight ends, it's been the more correlated to the positions. I mean, the last five tight end ones in overall scoring have just
75:49run the most routes at the position. Uh opportunity, it's such an opportunity driven game. I think he's going to have a massive target share, but does he end
75:56up just running a lot fewer routes than some of these other guys? That exists also in the range of outcomes. And as
76:02good as the system could be, you cannot and as good as Brock Bowers is, you cannot replace a wide receiver with the
76:08best tight end and ask him to to win like Jackson Smith and Jigba. It just it's just not it's just not a probable
76:14outcome. He's he plays this position for a reason uh and isn't isn't an actual wide receiver. So, those would be my
76:20only pull downs uh for me. But he's a guy that I'm actually scared though, like I just believe in him as a player
76:25to that degree. Like I'm scared of not having him.
76:28>> And Scott, your thoughts on on Bowers right now and sort of the cost where it's a a mid-first round pick in FFPC
76:36again, a late second rounder in NFC and also an underdog. And an interesting comment in the chat from Index of Suspicion that how many touchdowns does
76:45Vegas score in total? like are you worried about Bowowers being uh sort of a PPR scam that doesn't have the touchdown equity? A lot to unpack here,
76:54Scott, but really want to get your thoughts on Bowowers, a very important player for fantasy managers this season.
77:00>> So, I was talking to Brett about this.
77:02Brett is kind of out on Brock Bowers.
77:03He's just really nervous about teams just double covering him, just selling out to stop him, and there's just nothing else on this Raiders offense to
77:13keep defenses honest. So, I thought that was an interesting angle. What what I would say is, you know, outside of tight
77:19end premium, outside of baseball, which is its own thing. Um, I I feel like the opportunity cost is too high, but, you
77:26know, looking back over the numbers, if you take out the the Brace Bowers weeks that, you know, he came back, he he
77:31should have taken like two months off.
77:34If you take out those those weeks, uh, he averaged 16.6 fantasy points per game. um which you know behind only Trey
77:43McBride but would have been like wide receiver eight and so like when you're looking at it that way it's yeah okay
77:49round two that's that's a value um I will just say like in order to pay off like round one round two ADP as a tight
77:58end you you kind of do need to be prime Travis Kelce which I think Trey McBride was last year there was like a 100 point
78:06gap between him and tight end two um And so I yeah, I would just say the barrier is really high uh to save off, you know,
78:14the opportunity cost of drafting a running back wide receiver. So probably not going to be one of my guys. Probably not going to work him into the the draft
78:20guide. The the way I have it is like uh round one, I have my order. Round two, it's Drake London or a running
78:29back. Um and so that's kind of how I'm leaning right now.
78:35Yeah, I think out a little bit in the some of the splits we see with Bowers and it's only they're only two year
78:40splits, but and and take in context the offenses he's been into as well. But when I brought up that JSN stuff, like
78:47when you look at Brock Bowers, he's he's played such an absorbent amount of snaps out wide compared to his peers, you
78:53know, uh you know, 16.2% as a rookie, 17.1% last year, and that's where he's been his worst as a performer. Um, I
79:01mean he ever he he he's more he's better when he plays in the slot and in line.
79:06That's where he's especially in line.
79:07It's a bummer we don't get him more in there. So maybe Kubak can bring some of that in here where he's tighter the line
79:12of scrimmage because you're playing to teams hands when you allow Brock Bowers to line up out wide and you can play him
79:18with actual players that are just better defenders than him. You want to get Brock Bowers on linebackers. You want to get him on some of these other safeties.
79:24You don't want Brock Bowers being your lead wide receiver in your offense because teams can take that away because no matter how good he is as a tight end,
79:32he's not Jackson as a wide receiver. And that's kind of where the problems kind of stem from.
79:36>> Yeah, I think Scott really the the best argument you made for me is that it's London versus Bowers, like the
79:42opportunity cost there where I agree with you. London is such an exceptional value inside of round two. But like looking through some of my flag plants
79:50here, I love the structural start of like player you want in round one, then Bowowers in round two, Bree Hall in
79:57round three, a Mecha Eggbuka in round four. I think that could all really really pan out. Let us know in the
80:02comments where you're at on Bowowers.
80:04Also, where you're on Drake London. So Scott, you didn't want to reveal like a flag pant, but you just flagp planted
80:09Drake London on this show. So look forward to hearing Scott [laughter] sort of talk about Drake. We got one out of
80:13him, guys. No payw wall on that one.
80:15Scott loves Drake London, but I think we all do over here. Ryan Heath also on Drake London in a major way. Uh let's
80:21talk about a tight end that I know Brett Whitefield is also on, uh especially at cost, and that's Dalton Concaid. You're
80:29sort of on the chasing uh Josh Allen pass catchers, Rich, in a major way.
80:34>> Consistent. I want to play through this.
80:36I'm telling you, I'm I I want to play through gamers just not valuing the Bills throwing the football more. And you know I like I said and the way to
80:45play through that are are DJ Moore and and Dalton Concincaid and Dalton Kade he also checks all those boxes we talked
80:51about likely like the same things he goes ahead of uh you know wide receiver two there. Um, and the one thing is I
80:58look at him as just like, you know, this offseason, I know we do best shape of life, you know, offseason all the time,
81:04but like this is a guy I think it matters for. Like him actually putting on weight, I think is significant because this is a guy who has played
81:11underweight and it's killed him from playing, you know, full-time tight end.
81:15I mean, he only played 33% of his snaps in line last season. The Bills ran the ball only 28 and a half% of time when he
81:21was on the field last year compared to 517% of time when he was off the field.
81:25and just has capped his route participation. And I know he had the PCL injury too and had a hamstring as well,
81:30but this is still a guy that is as a pass catcher like efficient and effective. And if he's going to hang
81:36around like tight end like 13 14 and I think Josh Allen's going to throw the football more like how do I not at least
81:43grab him at those costs and if it doesn't happen I throw him back. So that's how I'm playing like through. If
81:48I don't get a Coloulston Lovelin at the top, who is like kind of my like big tight end premium pay, I'm looking at
81:53Concaid and likely as the guys I want to target, uh, you know, waiting on tight end.
81:58>> Yeah, I think it's the easiest it's ever been to click the button on Daltton Concaid. Uh, he was so expensive as a
82:04rookie, so expens even more expensive in year two. Uh, and we just need to go back to the 2023 season. if he can hit
82:12on his rookie year stats, 91 targets, 73 receptions, then he pays off at this price tag. We have to think that the
82:20touchdowns are going to go up a little bit as well. Um, I'm there. And then regarding the injury, he came out and
82:25said that this is the best he's ever felt uh at any point in his career. He had this PCL injury, but it didn't
82:32require surgery. So, it was really just more of like a healing factor thing for Kade. So, I'm sort of completely with
82:39you. I think structurally he makes a ton of sense and you can build Josh Allen correlation much more cheaply than with
82:46like your DJ Moore pick.
82:48>> Scott, your thoughts on Daltton King?
82:51>> Yeah, I I I just really don't trust that he can ever be a full-time player. Um I just don't think he's the blocker. But I
82:58mean like yeah, digging into the analytics, he was what he was he was third best among all players in yards per route run last year. So the upside
83:06is is so tantalizing. Uh, I will say if you're if you're playing in baseball, if you're in uh, you know, certainly one of
83:13these tournament style baseball leagues like a baseball mania, I'd say like the best thing you could do is go heavy on
83:21Josh Allen stacks. Get a Dalton Concade, get a DJ Moore, two guys that Rich likes who are cheap. And then Josh Allen, this
83:28was something Ryan Heath and I debated.
83:30He's like, I don't understand why Josh Allen goes two rounds before Lamar Jackson. And I was like, I do. He has
83:37>> far and away the best can't win without upside of any player after round two.
83:43You just look at the ceiling he's shown at the position that scores the most fantasy points. Um you know, you take
83:50his, you know, every quarterback's top 10 highest scoring games over the last three years. And like Josh Allen's like 80 fantasy points above anyone else. He
83:58he had that that stretch uh where he scored 51.9 fantasy points, the most by any player in any game ever. and then the next week
84:0641.3. You know, if he does that in the tournament rounds of you just cannot advance without Josh Allen. Um and so
84:14yeah, and then the stack is easy. So I I really like that. I I'll say I like it less from a manage start sit
84:20perspective, but uh for best I think that's like the optimal right now. Yeah, I think the Josh Allen take that Scott
84:27is having like I think Josh Allen's in a really good spot because quarterback has been so pushed down this year in terms
84:32of ADP that like fourth round Josh Allen when you're stuck OTC in the fourth round and guys like Ibuka are gone just
84:41clicking on Josh Allen and building out your draft that way is really I think high EV. I I would push back on Ryan and
84:47I'd say, you know, the Lamar Jackson two rounds later, it would be like, why take Josh Allen in round four when Jaden
84:54Daniels is occasionally available four rounds later would sort of be a better argument this year than Lamar. I'm not as scared of like Lamar Jackson breaking
85:02fantasy and like crushing my league as like a six round value. But I think Josh Allen perfectly fine at cost and a guy
85:08that could pay off. Uh, shout out to the chat. Also talking about the week 17 game for Buffalo against Miami there, a
85:13potential smash week. And like Scott talked about, like no one has a higher ceiling than Josh Allen. And they have worked to improve his weapons with that
85:21DJ Moore trade this year. I think that was significant. Uh but it's like almost >> I'm more excited about the good teams
85:27they play. I mean, the Dolphins, that might be one where he's just like he throws 18 passes. Like uh like I said,
85:33they open the year and like you're not feeling bullish at Houston. Houston's had his number two years in a row, but
85:38then Detroit Chargers, Patriots, Rams, Ravens uh Chiefs Packers Bears Broncos, like these are all teams that are going to push the Bills and from a
85:48game environment stance because Josh Allen's a guy you don't don't necessarily care about like, oh, he's facing this good of a pass defense. We
85:53saw it with the Broncos, right? He played bad in that game. It doesn't matter. He's he scores fantasy points in a unique way. So, I care about these
86:00teams that they have on the schedule.
86:01I'm like, these teams are all going to push the Bills and those are the games that really excite me about Josh Allen.
86:07>> Yeah, definitely an exciting player to talk about. It's almost illegal for us to have a guest on that doesn't say
86:12something nice about Coloulston Lovelin.
86:14Uh this is the one where I was looking through like ADPs and saying which guys could like get fantasy analysts in
86:21trouble this year. And if Coloulston Lovelin doesn't deliver, it's going to get a lot of us in trouble this year, Rich.
86:27I feel like there's so much collective on Lovelin just smashing this year.
86:32Where are you at on Loveland? How comfortable are you taking him? Like where would you push him up to? And is
86:38he a threat to be the tight end one overall this year?
86:42>> He's absolutely a threat, but again, probably doesn't like if we're if we think that that we have a sixth year in
86:46a row where the tight end one runs the most routes, he probably runs into that roadblock, too, just because we know Ben
86:51Johnson's infrastructure. They're going to be a runheavy team. They were run heavy the back half last year. But I mean this guy just what he showcased in
86:58terms of like a dual threat. So you know we brought we talked about King Kad and likely like the reason they're
87:02discounted is like Scott said like you do run into the roadblock of like are these guys going to like flirt with like
87:08a 75% route participation because they're just not as good a blockers, right? Like they're priced down there for a reason. Lovelin's priced up
87:15because this guy plays everywhere at the position. Um I mean the la final nine games last year he was over a 15% target
87:22share in all of them. uh he was targeting 25% of his routes over the span and then just closed the year on
87:27like an absolutely ludicrous note over the final five games where he was had 81% route partition rate. He had a 31%
87:34target rate per route run and 2.34 yards per route run. And just when you look at him versus the the wide receivers, I
87:41mean, you figure that he has the best of both worlds because Caleb Williams still has this inaccuracy underbelly to him for two years in a row and the guy he
87:50hurts the most with that underbelly is Roma Dunes where Roma Dunay draws his targets. You look at Roma Dun's last two
87:56years, um he's been amongst the league leaders in in offtarget rate because of where he runs his routes in the route
88:02tree. Luther Burton didn't have that problem, but he also didn't run like the downfield route tree. if he gets access to that, like is that going to be a
88:09problem for him? Lovelin has like the best of both worlds. He gets a touchdown equity and he still doesn't have like
88:14that super volatile offtarget rate because of where he wins as a player and where he wins in his route tree. So, we
88:19have that and then um you just look at him compared to like where McBride and Bowowers are. And it's subjective because Theo said he really loves his
88:27teams when he gets Bower. So, this is it'll be a taste choice. I like my teams a lot more when I get Loveland in the
88:34third or sometimes the fourth round versus when I take Bowowers and McBride at the two three turn and again that's subjective but I do think that this is a
88:41player based on just the where he wins the system he's win and don't forget the last third of the year and I know
88:47Dunay's injury was part of this but the Bears didn't really replace DJ Moore with like wide receiver talent and they really were one of the teams that copied
88:56Shawn McVey and they're one of the teams that you believe can do it based on personnel. Well, there's a lot of these
89:01teams this year you're going to see run out heavier rotation, heavier sets that have no business that shouldn't be doing it, right? And I'll tell you what, if
89:07the Joey Gladson thinks the Jaguars are one of them that should be doing it, that ain't that ain't one of them. But
89:12the Bears are one of these teams that have with Coulson Loveland and Cole KT where it absolutely makes sense for them
89:18to lean into this. And they completely, you know, copied this the back third of the year. They were one of the teams,
89:22you know, running uh from week 10 on 12 12 personnel 35% of the time, 13 personnel 14% of the time.
89:30if they they're one of the teams I think that can crack one of those uh the codes of being one of the teams that has that
89:35built into their arsenal to like run a really hyper efficient offense. So, um yeah, all those things are are reasons to be bullish on him.
89:43>> Scott, this will be like the 800th like the 800th time that you've had to talk about like Coloulston Lovelin on a
89:49podcast this off season. Uh so, let me rephrase this for you because you're talking about values in drafts.
89:56Coloulston Lovelin at 46.
89:58>> No, no, no, no, no. I I hate to be this guy, but I I'm gonna have to give the Coloulston Lovelin downside argument. I
90:04know we've been hyping up Colston Lovelin. I Yeah, but I'm I'm legitimately getting nervous. This isn't just for entertainment. It's Yeah, I the
90:13the pro style argument is is very easy.
90:16He hit double-digit targets in each of his last four games. He had a 28.5% target share. No one else was above
90:2315.2%.
90:25And so, it's like, yeah, I want to be all in on the Bears offense.
90:29Maybe Lovelin's the true wide receiver one. This was an elite prospect coming out of college. You look at those last four games, it's clear he's arrived.
90:37People chasing Luther Burden. No.
90:40Colston Lovelin's the guy you want. But digging into this, um I don't know. I I I see the I see the downside argument
90:49and it makes me nervous. And you can't feel nervous when you're talking about a tight end being drafted as early as he
90:56is. It's just the the barrier to being a power law player is so much higher and the opportunity cost of foregoing a
91:05running back wide receiver can be deadly if you miss on this pick. And so here's the downside argument is is Adam Haret
91:12has this this famous study where he says, you know, looking at the last four games for a player, the last six games,
91:19the last eight games, the last 12 games is never as predictive as looking at the full season. And when you look at the
91:25full season, things look fairly grim. I think there's only two or three games that uh Lovelin outnapped a healthy Cole KT. Uh and and here's here's a weird
91:36stat. This is, you know, this is me kind of maybe getting a little silly, but uh as you know, Rich, uh the Bengals had
91:43one of the worst defenses ever when it came to covering tight ends. They gave up 22.2 fantasy points per game. That
91:50was 30% higher than any other defense this past half decade. And so if you just take out that game for all tight
91:57ends, remember that game Cole KT got hurt. Um so you just remove that game and you look at the fantasy season. So
92:04weeks one through 17, Coloulston Loveland averaged 7.9 fantasy points per game. That that ranked 26th at the position that was behind Colobby
92:14Parkinson that was behind David and Jooku. Uh awful. And so like I'm just there's a world where okay Lovelin's the guy but like Cole KT is still something
92:26of a thorn in his side where he's not getting the 80% route share the 75% route share. It is some fluctuation week
92:34to week. Um and you can't have that at all. And so uh like Ben Johnson totally does not care about your fantasy team.
92:43And so that's that's a concern I've had where again like I I'm very excited about Colston Lovelin. He's awesome.
92:48He's a great player to own from a dynasty perspective, but when you're looking at this ADP and reddraft start, Sid, I'm I'm probably going to gravitate
92:58towards a running back or wide receiver.
93:00>> I I first of all, I'd like to thank you, Scott, for for sharing these concerns after we had a shared $1,800 worth of
93:06Colston Lovelin [laughter] in our drafts together. Um, you know, I I love the contrarian takes and I think Adam Harststead's really smart, but what
93:14does Adam Harstead think about this sort of study when you're talking about a 21-year-old tight end who was also banged up during training camp? Let's
93:23not forget that Coloulston Lovelin's ramp up period was more challenging because he did miss time in training camp. He was banged up a little bit in
93:31the offseason. Um, and then sort of like once he broke through, he broke through in a major major way. So, I'm with Rich
93:38on this one. I think Coulson Lovelin is should go about a round earlier in NFC drafts. And I think on underdog clicking
93:46the button at like 46 overall is perfectly fine. I think that the real question mark is FFPC tight end premium where he's probably going to be like the
93:5618th overall pick when we get to Vegas drafts end of the summer. Um, that's more of a question mark. But Coulson
94:02Lovelin to the moon. Uh, Scott, I I I liked your Coulson Loveland takes like two weeks ago more than your Colston
94:07Loveland takes today, especially considering how much money we have in him collectively. Um, but Rich, this was just awesome. Uh, make sure
94:16you're checking out all of Rich's uh content. Rich, anything else that you want to share with the Fantasy Points audience that you have coming out?
94:23>> No. Uh, I just want to engage chat one last time because I'm one of these guys that actually likes to engage chat. Uh,
94:28just to put some context behind that Josh Allen thing. Like I said, he's actually an inverse player as like the spread gets larger. He he hasn't even
94:35had a top five scoring week when the Bills have been a favorite by more than a touchdown since 2023. And he he only
94:42has four career, you know, uh games, a top three score in that capacity. So like he's actually an inverse player where like you're like of course you
94:49want him against the Dolphins, right?
94:50Like you're not scared of the Dolphins, but like that this is this is a guy that needs to be pushed get the the Superman
94:55status, right? Like he needs the kryptonite to come out like where he he hulks out. He has he has a different he
95:00has a different gear when they face these teams and uh that just to give you some actual context to that.
95:06>> Yeah, shout out shout out Nitty DJ uh who's who's a great listener and viewer, but don't come at Rich Reebar with an
95:12LOL in your in your comment and you don't want a little bit bit of push back on that one. So really appreciate all of
