Player insights

37

Amon-Ra St. Brown

PositiveRole54:04

Zay Flowers' role and reliability are compared to Amon-Ra St. Brown, with the source suggesting Flowers' production is 'QB proof'.

Insight page

Audric Estime

NegativeUsage9:20

Audric Estime is currently in a backfield split with Jaleel McLaughlin, which limits the standalone fantasy value of both players to low-end RB2 territory. The source also notes confusion regarding his high target share, questioning if it indicates a specific pass-down role or a broader issue within the Broncos' offense.

Insight page

Bo Nix

NegativeProjection6:21

Bo Nix is playing poorly, characterized by a disconnect between his time to throw, average depth of target, and catchable throw rate. He is currently the QB27 in fantasy points per game and is described as risk-averse, refusing to look at open receivers like Jaylen Waddle.

Insight page

Braelon Allen

NegativeValue8:40

Braelon Allen is currently ranked as the RB15, though the source suggests Emanuel Wilson may be the superior fantasy play. Additionally, Allen was effective in helping the Jets run the ball against the Browns' defense.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

NegativeUsage5:28

Bucky Irving has a better-than-expected role, though the film remains underwhelming. He recorded 22 carries for 72 yards with no goal-line touches.

Insight page

C.J. Stroud

PositiveProjection20:18

The source views CJ Stroud as a viable start, liking him more than his QB16 projection because Houston has the league's worst running game, creating a pass-funnel matchup. Stroud is performing at a high level, ranking top three in hero throw rate and best in the league at turnover-worthy throw rate.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

NegativeProjection20:13

Caleb Williams is a confident start for Week 6, ranked as the QB8. He is returning to the starting lineup in a game with a high 49.5 over-under, suggesting shootout potential. While the Falcons' high pressure rate is a concern, the source suggests it may benefit Williams by creating rushing lanes for him to utilize his feet, though his recent hamstring injury adds some uncertainty to his mobility.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

NegativeUsage44:44

Carnell Tate shows strong underlying metrics, including a 24% target share and 33% first-read share, but his fantasy production remains highly volatile. He averages 145 yards per game when Cam Ward clears 200 passing yards, but only 32.3 yards otherwise. While talented, he is currently trapped in a gross offensive situation.

Insight page

Colson Yankoff

NegativeBust25:40

The source considers Colson Yankoff a 'sit' and expresses frustration with his recent tight end rankings, labeling him as 'dead to me' for fantasy purposes.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

NegativeBust25:40

Colston Loveland is considered a 'sit' and is effectively off the source's fantasy radar, with the source noting he is 'dead to me' after being projected as TE20.

Insight page

Courtland Sutton

NegativeUsage7:02

Courtland Sutton was historically a frequent target for Bo Nix on downfield shots and in the red zone, though the current Broncos offense is struggling to maintain that connection.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

PositiveUsage22:37

The source recommends starting D'Andre Swift as an RB1 with confidence. Despite some recent volatility, Swift has consistently finished as an RB1 by volume (expected fantasy points) in four of five weeks, excluding games with egregious fumbles. With Roschon Johnson set to miss time, Swift's volume outlook remains strong.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

PositiveUsage35:46

Denzel Boston is identified as a strong play against two-high coverage, where he averages over four yards per route run. The source notes the Ravens play two-high at a top-five rate, making Boston a preferred target in this specific matchup.

Insight page

DK Metcalf

NegativeValue18:33

DK Metcalf is projected as the WR14, a ranking the source describes as 'gross' and 'disgusting' compared to their preference for starting Parker Washington.

Insight page

Drake London

PositiveProjection47:07

Drake London is highlighted as a start of the week, despite being projected as a WR4 due to the Bears' defensive struggles.

Insight page

Emanuel Wilson

PositiveRole3:47

Emanuel Wilson is a recommended start and a low-end RB2. Over the last two weeks, he has averaged 20.5 carries, 3.0 targets, 96 scrimmage yards, and 20.6 fantasy points per game (RB6). While he ranks last in success rate, he benefits from high-value volume, including 77 carries inside the five-yard line, and is expected to maintain his role with Janarian Price and Zack Charbonnet likely out.

Insight page

Harold Fannin

NegativeBust35:31

The source disagrees with Chris's high ranking of Harold Fannon, noting he ranks 30th out of 37 tight ends in yards per route run and only saw three targets in his last game.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

PositiveUsage10:36

J.K. Dobbins is a recommended start despite a difficult matchup due to a significant increase in volume. In his last outing, he recorded 18 of 22 carries and two of four backfield targets, signaling a clear uptick in usage under Sean Payton.

Insight page
PositiveUsage17:16

The source likes JK Dobbins as a start despite a difficult matchup because he saw a massive uptick in volume, recording 18 of 22 carries and two of four backfield targets in his last outing.

Insight page

Jakobi Meyers

PositiveMatchup19:29

Jakobi Meyers is a strong flex play this week due to a favorable schematic matchup. The Texans have allowed a league-high 740 yards to outside wide receivers, and Meyers excels at running in-breakers from the outside.

Insight page

Jaxon Smith-Njigba

PositiveProjection5:07

Jaxon Smith-Njigba is a must-start who currently leads the team in targets per route run. The source expresses skepticism regarding his WR3 projection, noting he leads all wide receivers in fantasy points per game (27.9) and yards per route run.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

PositiveProjection46:22

Jonathan Taylor is an obvious start, particularly against the Titans, against whom he averages 36.7 fantasy points per game over his last three meetings. He is highly game-script sensitive, averaging 28.4 fantasy points in wins compared to 14.9 in losses, making him a strong play as a seven-point favorite.

Insight page

Josh Cameron

NegativeUsage18:38

Josh Cameron is noted for receiving three targets last week, a detail highlighted by the source to contrast with the lack of usage for other receivers.

Insight page

Josh Downs

NegativeUsage46:31

Josh Downs is a major concern due to declining utilization; his first-read target share has dropped from 35% to 14%, while Laquon Treadwell has risen to 24% over that span. Although he is seeing more snaps in 12 and 13 personnel, he is struggling to produce when lined up out wide, averaging only 0.55 yards per route run in those spots.

Insight page

Ladd McConkey

PositiveMatchup23:13

The source views this as a 'smash spot' for Ladd McConkey against the Atlanta Falcons, who allow the fifth-most fantasy points to outside wide receivers. While McConkey runs over half his routes from the slot—where Atlanta is tougher—the source suggests he is a strong play and recommends 'pinching' his projection closer to Rome Odunze's.

Insight page

Matthew Golden

NegativeValue18:26

Matthew Golden is projected as the WR12, though the source prefers starting Parker Washington over him in fantasy lineups.

Insight page

Michael Penix Jr.

NegativeBust46:54

Michael Penix Jr. is a sit recommendation for fantasy managers, currently ranked as QB25 despite practicing in a limited capacity.

Insight page

Nico Collins

PositiveMatchup21:57

The source identifies this as a 'smash week' for Nico Collins, preferring him over his WR11 ranking. Jacksonville is a bottom-five defense against outside wide receivers, having already surrendered over 1,000 yards to the position. Schematically, Jacksonville's defensive tendencies open up space underneath for Collins' dig routes and crossers.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveBreakout17:26

Parker Washington is a high-upside play who ranks in the top 10 for both yards per route run and fantasy points per route run. While currently ranked as a WR16, the source views him as a potential WR12-13 and explicitly prefers him over Matthew Golden, DK Metcalf, and DeVonta Smith.

Insight page

Rome Odunze

PositiveBreakout23:13

The source is highly optimistic about Rome Odunze, noting his first-read target share has risen dramatically each week, peaking at 35% last week. Odunze is viewed as a 'smash' play against a beatable Falcons secondary, and the source highlights that his skill set as a single-high coverage beater aligns well with the Falcons' defensive scheme.

Insight page

Tony Pollard

NegativeUsage45:22

Tony Pollard is viewed as a workhorse but not a bellcow, as he loses passing-down snaps to Tyjae Spears. Currently ranked as RB21, his outlook is uncertain; despite the Colts' poor defense, the Titans being seven-point underdogs limits his fantasy confidence.

Insight page

Trevor Lawrence

NegativeProjection15:13

The source is conflicted on Trevor Lawrence, noting he is a potential start but highlighting significant concerns regarding his performance metrics. Lawrence ranks in the bottom three for both hero throw rate and turnover-worthy throw rate, though he maintains a top-five completion percentage over expectation and ranks seventh in EPA per dropback. The source attributes these efficiency metrics to the play-caller rather than Lawrence's individual performance.

Insight page

Tyler Huntley

NegativeProjection51:52

The source expresses concern regarding Tyler Huntley's ability to lead the Baltimore passing attack compared to Lamar Jackson, noting Huntley's low 4.3 AOT (average depth of target) last week compared to Jackson's typical 10+.

Insight page

Tyler Warren

PositiveBreakout50:02

Tyler Warren is heating up as the TE6, ranking in the top six among tight ends in expected fantasy points (XFP) per game. He is viewed as the clear number one option and is even stealing goal-line carries from Jonathan Taylor.

Insight page

Wan'Dale Robinson

PositiveUsage68:51

Wan'Dale Robinson is recommended as a flex play due to his effectiveness as a blitz-beater against the Colts' aggressive, man-heavy defense. He maintains a high catchable target rate and performs well against man coverage, with a 5.8 aDOT consistent with his role in the Brian Daboll offense. The Colts are currently allowing 12.37 yards per target to the slot.

Insight page

Woody Marks

PositiveUsage21:41

Woody Marks is considered a raw volume play after recording 45 of 46 snaps following David Montgomery's departure in the previous game.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

PositiveBreakout50:22

Zay Flowers is considered an 'in-season Exodia' start. He leads all players in yards per route run and average separation score. He is highly effective from the slot, where he averages 6.6 yards per route run, and the Browns' slot corner, Miles Harden, is allowing a near-perfect passer rating. His role and reliability are compared to Amon-Ra St. Brown, with the source suggesting his production is 'QB proof'.

0:00Week six, start sit part one. We are taking you through game by game, giving you the first seven games of the slate,
0:07including Thursday Night Football and London.
0:12Are you serious? What?
0:18That's awesome. So sick.
0:24Scott, how are you today, sir? I'm good. I'm great. I'm happy to be here. I'm excited to talk fantasy football with my good friend Brett Whitefield.
0:35How soon do we call the Jacksonville Jaguars the London Jaguars?
0:40The the London Silly Nannies. Yeah. Uh it's it's inevitable, isn't it? You know what's crazy though is it's been like a decade since they've been building the Jacksonville presence in London. Yet, they got totally
0:54mogged last Sunday against the Eagles. There were more Eagles fans there than Jacksonville fans there. So even even English American football fans are smarter. They they have a good sense not to to
1:07say stop trying to thrust the Jaguars upon us. We we want to root for a good team. Yeah. Move them to like Columbus, Ohio
1:15or something. I don't know. I don't know. Anyways, Columbus. Well, just think of like American City, you know, Austin. Austin, Texas. Texas already has two teams. We don't need We don't need any
1:26more of that, you know. But I'm I'm sure there's a lot of better places than Jackson.
1:32Dude, Texas is gigantic. What are you talking about? Texas should have like 10 teams. How many teams does California have?
1:38Um, three. Three, right? San Francisco and the LA's. Yeah, they used to have four though to be fair. That's right. So, all right, let's dive right in. Game
1:50one, we have the Seattle Seahawks traveling to Denver. This is the Thursday night special. Over under a lowly 40.5. Seattle is favored on the road against an ailing Broncos team that
2:04just has not looked like the same club from a year ago. Let's start on the Seattle side of the ball. If you're
2:09looking at the screen, some, you know, mixed bag, some sits and some starts. This one seems relatively obvious to me, but I want to hear you break it down. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I Sam Darnold's a Shahed Sid. AJ Barner's a like I don't
2:21think we have to go through this as we're doing the show. like the obvious sits like they've done nothing all year.
2:27Uh Emanuel Wilson though, uh he is a start. He's a low-end RB2. Over the last two weeks, he averages 20.5 carries, 3.0 targets, 96 scrimmage
2:39yards, and 20.6 fantasy points per game, good for RB6 over this stretch. Um you know, he's not the most talented back. Uh he's dead last in success rate, but
2:52this is this is valuable work if he could get it. He has he has 70 seven carries inside the five yard line on the
2:59season. Um no no Janarian Price, no Zack Charbanet most likely. So uh going to stick in that role. JSN, you don't need
3:10me to tell you to start him. I I do want to be obnoxious and nitpicky here. I I don't know about this wide receiver three projection for [snorts] a guy who
3:22leads all wide receivers and fantasy points per game by a lot. Uh he's at 27.9 leads in yards per route run by a lot.
3:32And then you have Patrick Certain dealing with his ankle probably out. The safety Pufanga dealing with the ankle probably out. Riley Moss limited also not that talented anyway.
3:46Yeah. Yes, he is. He is. Yes. What you just said right there is racism. [laughter] It's racism. You're just saying that cuz he's the only white quarterback in the NFL.
4:01Seahhorn is one of my favorite players of all time. Yeah. Been been retired for 20 years. Move on. [laughter] Um Riley Moss says, "No, Jason Seahhorn." say that Riley Moss is a good corner though. He gets picked. He gets
4:13be a comp. A comp for for Rul Douglas. [laughter] It's a good corner. It's a good starting corner. He gets picked on because he
4:26plays on the other side of Patrick Certan. No one's thrown on him. So, yeah. I I just think it's funny that you
4:33refuse to do same skin color comps. Yes. always for for any player at any position. But those are the only comps people make.
4:44Yeah. No, it's really just I won't ever comp a white guy to a white guy just because he's a white guy, you know. Yeah. You want to know you want to hear
4:51my comp? I'm a little scared, but sure. Cooper Deene.
4:57Something about watching him play really reminds me of Cooper Deene. So dumb.
5:02Who does stink actually this year anyways. Yeah. So, the stereotype fits. Brett, getting back on track here. I'm a little inclined to like Emanuel Wilson more than RB19. That's p That's nitpicky,
5:14though. It's a good matchup. Denver's run defense has not been very So, I'm with you. Yeah, I like both guys a little bit more. I think I might like him more than Woody Marks, who we have at RB1 17. Maybe
5:24maybe more than Basil Tutin at fifth RB15. Who you hate? Who you just I do hate Basil Tutin, man. It's so the Bachel Tutin crowd is
5:38hilarious. That is a hilarious one. Who started this? He has a cult following. I never realized that until recently.
5:43That's Ryan Heath and Ryan Ryan Heath thinks he's he's won. He's He's been tooting his own horn on Beijel Tuten.
5:5222 carries, 72 yards. Load it up. Let's go. Woo! No goal line touches. Hang the banner.
5:58Hang the banner. [snorts] All right. I've already conceded. I've I've capitulated the fact that his role is better than I thought it would be, but the film is about what I thought it would be. So, I'm I'm still right. Anyways, we move on. Denver Broncos on
6:11the other side of this. Uh this this offense is disgusting. I don't trust anybody at all. Um I know we have a
6:19bunch of sits, a flex, and on the fence. I don't know. It's all gross to me. Bo Nicks is playing really bad football.
6:26Awful. Awful. Awful. You know what's You know what's crazy, Scott? Yeah. Look at his like time to throw juxtaposed to his average depth of target and like his catchable throw rate. None
6:38of these things mesh together. Yeah, he's living in a complete just dulu land. Like it's not this isn't where any quarterback should live historically. I I don't know that I've seen like is he
6:51the worst starting quarterback in the league right now? What happened to him? How does this happen where he can go from being
6:56competent, good [snorts] to worst in the league? Yeah. So, he's always been really riskadverse. Let's start there. Like, he's always been like, going back to Auburn, I I say this all the time.
7:08Since he's been in college football, he's led whatever conference division league he's in in screen passes. That's been true since he was at Auburn. It was true at Oregon, true early days in Denver. But at least the last couple
7:19years in Denver, he would still take shots downfield periodically to Courtland Sutton, especially in the red zone. They had a lot of good hookups. Now it's like it's a Paw Patrol passing
7:29offense with a worse defense. So, he's not getting as many opportunities to run the Paw Patrol offense. It's uh it's gross. The whole thing's gross and it's it's literally sinking every single player on this team. Well, that was a
7:41stat I had when he was coming out where by passing touchdowns versus like sacks plus interceptions, something like that. It was like the best college football season of all time from Bon Knicks.
7:53And he always super elite in pressure to sack ratio. Really sack avoidant to the extreme, which is maybe kind of rearing its its ugly head right now as as a negative. Our film charters are saying
8:07like, "Hey, listen. These guys are open. Jaylen Wadd's getting open. Bo Nicks just like refuses to look at them. Uh going through his reads performatively uh haphazardly.
8:20It's I don't know like you said lowest a dot in the league 6.2. Um QB27 by fantasy points per game. So
8:27we're high on him. And I I don't know that that should be the case. Shawn Payeyton in his first game calling plays
8:35dropped his P road down to minus 9.6%. That was lowest of the year, second lowest on the week. Um, and it's a brutal matchup. Seattle allows the
8:46second fewest EPA per dropback. Um, Jaylen Wadd, why do we have as a flex?
8:52He has over 35 receiving yards in one of five games this year and it's it's a bottom six matchup in the slot and he's done jack all. The
9:04running backs I think are kind of interesting. I want to get your thoughts on this. I pulled up the top players by targets per route run, Brett. Okay, it goes one,
9:18JSM. Two, RJ Harvey, and I puked all over my keyboard. Three, Puka Nua. Why is RJ Harvey all the way up? Why is he leading the team in in target share? Is this actually good? Is this Shawn Peyton's
9:33new Darren Sprouls? Is he actually good at football or is this just a sign that this offense is broken?
9:41Well, we we've known he's a good pass down back for a while, right? That's one of the things we liked about him coming out.
9:46Yeah, but if a scapback is your leading most targeted receiver and not the guy you just traded a first round pick for Well, that is what's crazy. It's like why aren't we designing those touches
9:57for Jaylen Wadd also, right? Like we know Wadd's awesome on that type of stuff. Look at his rookie season in Miami. It was all screens and short area passes. So, I don't know why they can't
10:07get him more involved. But did W did uh Harvey leave last game early or something? He was like not involved at
10:13all. Uh I don't know. I don't think so. I didn't. He had one target in that game. So, yeah. But you have 45% route share,
10:24which was in line with his season average, you know. Okay. All right. Yeah. Yeah, I mean they're interesting. I think with the pivot to Payton, like you feel like these backs are certainly, you know,
10:36relatively That's what I was going to say. I I kind of like JK Dobbins here. I know it's a worst possible matchup and it it is,
10:43but like I said, uh Broncos were just bottom three in pro and Peyton's first game and JK Dobbins just saw a massive uptick in volume. He had 18 of 22 carries, two of four backfield targets.
10:54He kind of stinks this year uncharacteristically the the rest of his career always over five yards per carry or so. But um yeah,
11:02we know Shawn Payeyton loves him. So I expect more work. It's just I guess Chris is saying like this this matchup's
11:09too brutal for him. It it's better for the the the pass catching back. So I both guys are on the on the fence.
11:15Jaylen Wadd we have as a flex but I'm I'm not all that bullish on I wonder if there's a more a team with a
11:21bigger disconnect between yard adjusted yards before contact and actual yards per carry than the Broncos like their yards before contact is like two right their offensive line is great
11:32right certainly run blocking yeah so it's it's very strange that they can they literally cannot run the football but maybe the tide changes this week I'm not betting on it But kind of
11:45overall in a void for Denver. Moving on to game two, the London game. The Houston Texans are traveling to the Jacksonville Jaguars home stadium in London. Um it's a 930 star overunder 42 and a
11:59half. Jacksonville favorite at home by 2.5 points. Start on the Texan side.
12:04Yeah. So the the Jaguars are the best run defense in football. They're giving up just 2.5 yards per carry. That's best
12:10in the league. Second best in stuff rate. That's convenient. Houston has the worst running game in football. So, uh, that makes me like CJ Stroud a little bit more than his QB16
12:21projection. I think he's viable. Does he crack the top 12? I don't know. [snorts] Um, but yeah, it's it's a passfunnel
12:27matchup for a passfunnel offense. Uh, and CJ Shroud's playing really well. I had the tweets. I'm like, "Hey, I I like
12:33this bet. 200 to one odds. CJ Shroud to win MVP. Give me that." He's top three in hero throw rate. He's best in the
12:39league at turnover worthy throw rate, career-h highs, and just about every mark, despite Nico Collins missing time.
12:47Um, you know, despite the bad matchup for what he marks, he's just like a raw volume play. And in fantasy football,
12:53volume's the most important thing. Raw snaps, uh, carries, targets, weighted opportunity, XFP. Sure. And Woody Marks last week had 45 of 46 snaps after David Montgomery left. Uh
13:08Demo Ryan's confirmed he's gonna carry the the load. Uh so I I like this projection. Nico Collins 20.9 fantasy points per game this year.
13:18He he disappointed last week and maybe you can tell us why, Brett. Uh but he does have a favorable matchup.
13:24Jacksonville bottom five in fantasy points per game to opposing outside wide receivers.
13:30Yeah, this is Nico Collins smash week. This is Yeah, I I like him much better than wide receiver 11. I actually went on John Hansen Visen show and told him to play the over on yards which I think is like
13:4272 and a half or something like that. So um Jacksonville's given up over a thousand yards to wide receivers already through five weeks. That's insane. They they've given up big games to Jaylen Wadd and T. Higgins. Waddle who has one
13:55game over 35 yards. It came against uh the Jacksonville Jaguars. They're a a civ and it all comes on the outside too where Nico Collins lives. So, um, I I I
14:06really do like schematically, too. You know, Jacksonville kind of teeters between, you know, some four and some three stuff. When they're very good against the run, though, it allows them to kind of back off and it opens up
14:17space underneath for a guy like Nico Collins who runs a ton of dig routes and crossers. So, I I just schematically
14:24like the matchup. I think if if uh Texans want to compete in this game, it's going to have to be CJ Stout and Nico Collins.
14:31I love it. Boom. Bang. On the Jacksonville side, it feels sort of like a startardom if you got him game minus Trevor Lawrence. Um I think you could probably even argue he he's a
14:42start this week. Um however, we we're projecting him QB13. Uh your your guy Parker Wash. Let's start there. Mr. Exodia. No, no, let's not. Why? Let's talk Let's talk Trevor Lawrence.
14:54So So you criticized Liam Cohen on one of our previous episodes this week. Are you sure it shouldn't be Trevor Lawrence? I So I talked about CJ Shroud being in the top right of the
15:08hero throw rate versus turnover worthy throw rate chart. All the way bottom left is Trevor Lawrence. He's bottom three in turnover worthy throw rate and hero throw rate. So that makes me think
15:18like the Liam Cohen system is rolling. It's Trevor Lawrence just just not doing all that much to help out just because of one stat. You think that? Yeah. I mean to be fair you completion
15:32percentage over expectations top five. So no I I believe in my seventh in EPA per drop back but that's a again that's a play caller stat. Yeah I I believe in my uh my actual text
15:43you I said Trevor Lawrence isn't playing very good. However yeah okay I feel like Liam Cohen has lost the plot a little bit here. So, I I think both things can be true. And may maybe Liam is searching because he's unsatisfied
15:56with what Trevor's given him so far where, you know, he's kind of emptying out the playbook a little bit, trying to
16:01find something that gets Trevor a little bit more aggressive. Think about all the ridiculous catches Parker Washington's had. Don't that's a proxy of Trevor not making the best throws. Right. Like, Right. Right.
16:13So, yeah, I think Trevor will will be fine, though. And this Texans defense is Do you? Yeah, I do.
16:20His left tackle Anton Harrison needs surgery. I I heard he's he'll be back. No. Is that bad? I thought he I thought he needs knee, but I He's gonna miss this week. Houston ranks top five in pressure pressure
16:33rate. Will Anderson Jr. is wrecking things. Yeah, but they can't cover on the back end. I don't know. It's Yeah. Yeah. All right. Well, that's fair. Um Basil Tutin,
16:46Chris disagrees with you. He's team Ryan. He's team Ryan Heath all the way.
16:51Yeah. Projection model of course is gonna love volume. It's a median projection, not a ceiling projection.
16:57It's not just volume. He's top six in yards after contact per attempt. Top six in missed tackles force per attempt.
17:02Houston is a bottom five matchup for running backs, but like you said, the volume's good by backfield XFP share went from 59 to 60 to 62 to 77 to 80% last week. So, we have Beijon as a
17:16high-end RB2. Yeah, the yards after contact thing is not sticky whatsoever, but the Parker Washington ranking disrespectful. Should I be personally
17:27offended? Brett, probably you have you have Jacobe Myers is a fringe wide receiver three. Jacobe Meyers who ranks 127th in targets per
17:38route run. He he had three targets last week behind Josh Cameron. Why isn't Josh Cameron on here and Parker Washington just just wide receiver 16 when he's top 10 in yards per route run, top 10 in
17:50fantasy points per route run. He's making highlight reel catches every single week and scoring on it.
17:57Houston's cornerbacks can't cover. Yeah, but it's it's come mostly on the outside though. Parker's going to be in the slot like 60% of the time. Right. Right. I I don't know that that or he's just the guy. He's just he's
18:10just a baller and they're going to put him where he needs to go to succeed. I agree. I I agree with you. I'm just
18:16I'm just giving you some some counterplay here. Um so he's projecting wide receiver 16. A couple notable guys ahead of him. Matthew Golden, wide receiver 12.
18:30Who would you who would you take? Parker, please. Yeah. DK Metaf, wide receiver 14.
18:36Gross. Disgusting. Disgusting. Luther Burden Washington.
18:42Nico. That's a tough. Both guys should be higher. How about that? Okay. How about that?
18:48Olive. Uh, probably Garrett.
18:56The fact that it's close is nuts. That's a 10 10 spot difference in projections. Probably neighbors. Yeah.
19:02Chris is currently projecting Parker like over two fantasy points below his season average. So worth worth.
19:09Well, that's that's projections. That's volume. You do see the fantasy points over expectation, which typically regresses to the mean. Unless a guy's just special. Unless a guy's just nice. Oh, here's a good one. Devonte Smith or
19:20Parker? Parker. Yeah. So, you got Parker at least wide receiver 12 13. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay, let's move on to Well, actually,
19:31any any thoughts on Jacobe Myers, Brettton Strange? I actually It's a great schematic match up for Jacobe Meyers.
19:37Um, you know, the the Texans have been getting gashed on inbreakers from the outside. That's what Jacobe Meyers does.
19:43That's literally his middle name is inbreakers from the outside. Jacobe inbreakers from the outside. Myers I I think it's a good it's a good flex play
19:54this week, I think. Okay. Texans have given up the most yards to outside wide receivers in the league by a lot, I think. Yeah. Let me let me double check that. Yeah, league high 740 yards southside
20:05wide receivers. So, bang. All right, move moving on. Game three on the slate is Chicago Bears versus the Atlanta Falcons. Maybe a more competitive game than
20:19anyone had imagined in the preseason, but shootout type game script here. Over under a 49 and a half. We love to see that. Bears favored by three on the road. the return of the king, Caleb
20:33Williams. The king. That's right. Yeah. Finally, we put some respect on his name. I was I was trying to come up with
20:39something derogatory about him whining about a a hamstring that took him out for two weeks, him crying on a field, but I didn't want to go there. I decided not to. So, the King return to the King.
20:50The King. That's it. It was a great science experiment to see Tyson Beant and Case Keenum run the offense. I think what we clearly saw is that a willingness to just run plays as
21:02as they are is good for the offense, but Caleb Williams is far more talented than both those guys combined. And I think if Caleb could just blend the styles a little bit, this offense is to the moon,
21:16breaking records. So, um I'm I'm a little optimistic here. Caleb Williams though, QB8. He's listed as a start obviously of course, right? Oh, yeah. Yeah, dude. He he runs. It's a high-powered offense. Uh there's a lot
21:29to like. Uh especially Falcons are getting after it with their pass rush though. I think they still have the highest pressure rate in the league with a bunch of no names. I do wonder if that hurts the pass
21:41catchers and helps Caleb's fantasy line. Like he he'll have rushing lanes to go get some with his feet is what I'm saying. I would But it's tough because he's coming off the hamstring. I'm like I don't know
21:51how to balance all this. So Right. Right. No, that's fair. That's that's fair. DeAndre Swift RB8 Kyle Manungai is going to miss time. He will not play this week. Um, you feel good with that?
22:05Yeah. Yeah. So, you you look at it by XFP expected fantasy points. So, measuring the volume Swift has had, he's finished RB9, RB8, RB7,
22:17RB16 in the game he fumbled and Manangai ranked RB2 by the same stat.
22:22um Manangi's only game inside the top 30 and then RB8 last week which was kind of surprising a game he barely touched the ball in the second half the the Bears abandoned the run. Uh I thought it was
22:36kind of injury related and and Ryan Heath quickly put a stop to that. He's like no they were just kind of rotating
22:41drives and uh you know they just didn't run the ball at all and he didn't get a lot of targets but he was on the field and and whatnot. So, uh, yeah, I I think for a guy who's, you know, finished as
22:54an RB1 by volume in four or five weeks or every week he didn't have an egregious fumble, uh, yeah, I like this. I think you're starting him as a as an RB1 pretty confidently.
23:06Yep. I agree too. I think he still looks good on tape as well. Just obviously the fumbles got him in some hot water. I do
23:13think though this is an absolute smash spot for both Luther Bird and Roma.
23:18Why is that? Um, well, Scott, the Atlanta Falcons pass defense is buns. They've given up at least 60 yards to six receivers already. They've given up at least 40 yards to eight receivers already. They've had 50 plus
23:34uh sorry, they've given up 50 plus total 11 times in five games to wide receivers. Um, so like both wide receiver ones and
23:44twos are performing at a high level. Uh, I ro if you're a betting man, Roma Dunes's line is 41 and a half right now. I I would definitely take that over. I
23:55would definitely take and I'll go a step further, Brett. You know me, the the Luther Burton guy, I'm wondering, should these projections be flipped? Should Doom be wide receiver 19 and Luther
24:09Burton wide receiver 32? Because Atlanta allows the fifth most fantasy points per game to outside wide receivers. the eighth fewest to slot wide receivers. Uh Luther Burton much better actually as
24:23an outside wide receiver than in the slot. It's been true two years in a row, but uh he runs over half of his routes
24:28from the slot. Yeah. And then Romo Dunce is trending up. Maybe this is just the backup quarterbacks, but his first read target
24:35share has risen dramatically every single week from 6% to 14 to 17 to 22 to 35% last week. Burden trending in the opposite direction. So yeah, I that's a
24:47that's a good betting take for you out there is uh don't sleep on Romo Dunay. You're spitting, bro. Just spitting. Um
24:54also the schematic component. Falcons live in a lot, you know, more single high. I know that hasn't manifested this year for Rome as like an advantage, but last year and as a rookie that was an advantage. He he was more of a single
25:08high beater than a two-h high beater. And so I do I do like this matchup schematically. And then the Atlanta corner situation, you know, without the Terrells, they have Billy Bowman who's a
25:20a safety that can't tackle in the slot, and then Mike Hughes and CJ Henderson, who are are very beatable corners on the
25:25outside. So, like all around, it's a great matchup for for Rome. I I do like Luther a little bit, too, this week, though. Um I I don't know about flipping
25:33them outright, but I think pinching them is definitely in order. Um and then we're calling Caleiff Raymond to sit. Sorry. Dang it. Khalif Raymond [snorts] as I said Coulson
25:44Loveland who's literally dead to me. I think I think Chris you know projected him tight end 20 just to troll me because he was tight end 19 last week and I was mad at him. Now he's like I'll
25:55do you one better. He's he's tight end 20 now so he's dead to me.
26:00I had one moreent I had one more dynasty share of him and I traded it. Oh man. Don't be one of those. Don't be
26:06I sold low. I sold low. Oh boy. The new Kyle Pitts. Is it real?
26:11I don't want Michigan players on my team. Unless the Bears hire Connor Stallions, I don't want anything to do with Coulson
26:17Love. Dude, someone should hire Conor Stallions. I think he does work for a college. I think dude, we need to get super rich so we
26:24can hire Ryan Pagnetti, Connor Stallions, Chris Wacket, Ryan Heath, and just win 10 Super Bowls in a row.
26:32Oh, he's at he's at Belleville High School. That's like 10 that's 10 minutes from me. Destroy. Imagine being a high school
26:39player up against Connor Stallions. He knows every single one of your plays. Scott, that high school is 10 minutes from me. Wow, dude. Let's go to a game. That's where um Michigan starting quarterback. Mr. Underwood, Bryce
26:51Underwood went Belleville. Anyways, uh on the Falcon side of this, Scott, we've got you stalkers outside your house now. Why are you Why are you giving up the location? Well, I exaggerated a little bit. Thank
27:03you. Okay, so we're Where's Where's Rainbolt to find the coordinates and figure out exactly don't give people ideas, but uh I was
27:14walking in a downtown area near my house semi-reently and I get a DM on X from a follower who's like, "Yo, do you live in Michigan?" I was like, "Yeah, why?" He's like, "I'm pretty sure I just saw you walking down the street." I was like,
27:27"You're famous, Brett." Okay. No, it's not like that. No one recognizes me. So, like clearly you're the you're the draw here. People probably do recognize you. They just have no interest in talking to you. [laughter] Yeah.
27:41The Falcon side of Oh gosh, I have another funny story. I'm sorry. I was I uh was recently buying a car
27:47and the you know, once you close the deal, the the sales manager comes out, the finance guy, and uh he was he was like, "Wait, bro, I know you." But he like didn't say anything nice about me. He went on to
27:59praise John Hansen. He's like, "I I've been a guru guy for 20 years. That's my dude. I I used to listen to him every
28:05single day on Sirius and I still listen to his pod with Brian. Like that's so cool that you're in my dealership right now. So John's certainly famous,
28:12you know. But anyways, all right. Michael Pennock sit QB25. It does look like he's going to play though. He practiced today at least in a limited capacity. I don't have the full official practice report yet, but I I know he's
28:24out there on the field. So Bejan Robinson, we don't have to tell you to start him. Start him. Uh and then Drake
28:30London. I have him as one of my starts of the week. You know, we Another one we don't really have to tell you to start,
28:36right? But we're projecting in wide receiver four, and I feel like there's a good reason for that. The Bears stink. That's the reason.
28:42Yeah. They can't go for anybody. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I wanted to pick your brain on Brian Robinson, though. Does he have
28:48any any like flex slash streaming utility since it is we are in the by-weeks, there are a lot of injuries. Like I know we're saying RB4. It's really hard to get his median
29:00projection up because of the nature of his role, but it seems kind of sticky.
29:07Double digit carries in four or five games. Yeah, I'm not about it. So out within when the score is within 10 points, it's really an 8020 split backfield, which is like
29:21Kalin Black. And so, uh, I I think RB41 is fair. It's like he's you're praying for a touchdown if you start him and I I don't think the odds are all that great.
29:33Okay, that's all I needed to hear. So, you don't think the Fal or you sorry, you do think the Falcons will keep the game close?
29:39Vegas obvious points. It's like when the spread is three, I don't want to be banking on game script blowout scripts.
29:46Yeah. Perfect. So, sit Brian Robinson. All right. Game four, moving on. Baltimore travels to Cleveland for a in division bloodbath over under 41 a half.
29:57Baltimore is favored on the road by four and a half. That seems a little extreme with the way the Browns have played of
30:04late. I know they just lost to the New York Jets, but Baltimore hasn't exactly been amazing. There's no Lamar Jackson in this game. Are we are we that confident in a four and a half point spread for Baltimore? I don't know. I
30:16think the game might be a little tighter than you think. And I I say all that to say like keep that in mind with some of the start sit stuff. If if the game is
30:22competitive, I think it changes the math a little bit. So Derrick Henry start for sure. Z Flowers inseason Exodia start.
30:31Um do you have any notes on the Baltimore side? Yeah. Well, I I kind of waffled a little bit on on Z. So like he's balling the f out. He leads all players in yards per
30:44route run. He's first in average separation score and he's killing it from the slot where the Browns are giving up the sixth most fantasy points per game. Their slot corner Miles Harden
30:58is allowing nearly a perfect passer rating on all targets against him. 83% of Flowers yards come from the slot. He averages 6.6 yards per route run there,
31:10which is crazy. The concern here is Tyler Huntley. And so I want to ask you like we know Tyler Huntley is nowhere near as good as Lamar Jackson, but like how big is the drop off?
31:22Because last week he had a pathetic 4.3 AOT. Lamar was over 10.
31:28And so um it's also Cleveland plays the most single high in the league. Z Flowers crushing single high. He's a lead against every look, but he's crushing single. Can Tyler Huntley take advantage here?
31:43Well, first of all, Cleveland backed way off single high last week. They dropped it all the way down to 60%. Interesting. Which is a relatively sizable departure. I mean, that's still like top five in
31:55the league. Sure. But as a result of that, New York was able to run the ball on them pretty pretty good with Brilen Alen. So, um I I
32:03think the Browns are adjusting on the fly, trying to limit some of these these big plays they've given up. Um cuz typic the the reason So, typically it goes the other way. When when you're getting ran on, your single high rate
32:17goes way up because you're routinely bringing that safety down to the box to try to stop the run. So for it to for
32:24the in a game they were getting the ball just ran down their throat for their single high rate to drop like 25
32:29percentage points is kind of crazy. So it it was definitely a concerted effort to take away explosive passes. And I I
32:36can't help but wonder if they do the same thing here with with defending Z Flowers. But I he's Zflower's role seems
32:42relatively insulated to me. I think it's QB proof. It's Aman Raw. Yeah, he's doing the Amanra stuff.
32:49He's so good, dude. He's so good. But yeah, I think we should do a video in the off season where, you know, tomorrow I'm going to teach our listeners all about an 18th
32:59century magician I'm quite fond of. But in the offseason, you should teach our listeners about these coverage shells. You know, man versus zone, single high
33:10versus too high, how in you know, too high limits explosives with outside receivers and tight ends, running backs typically get a bit more work. And then
33:20I could just play solitire the whole time and tune out because I don't know how many times you had to explain some
33:25of this stuff to me. But well, I have a better idea. Yeah, it's Well, it's building off your idea.
33:31So, nice initial point. Here's uh here's what I think we should do. So, I do something called summer school every year for Fantasy Points employees where they can come, you know, we do we start with like run game 101, then we build
33:42that out to run game all the way up to runame 301. These are like two-hour long classes. We get in the pass game. We get
33:48the pass probe, pass rush coverage shells. What if we did something like that for subscribers?
33:54Like all-in subs. Is that too much? I don't know. Well, I like to spoil our all-in subs. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I like to spoil our all-in subs as well. So, I
34:05think that might be fun. Yeah. Unfortunately, that would be paywalled content for for you guys, but uh I think it'd be worth it. Anyways, [snorts] where do we go next? uh the Browns and
34:17Deshun Watson. Do you have any notes here? It's gross. I like Denzel Boston. Uh Jal Mclofflin is again this projection kind of hinges upon you what we do and don't know right
34:31now. Uh we we think Judkins and Sanders are both out and Samson's out. Um and even so, he's still just a low-end RB2. They did just activate someone, but uh you know, oh Esté, Audrey Esté and Jal
34:46Mclofflin in the same backfield. What is this? The 24 Broncos. Um interesting stat on Jal Mclofflin is uh he was the most
34:57productive. He's the NCAA's all-time leading rusher.
35:02There's over 8,000 rushing yards in college. Did you know that, Brett? No, I didn't know that. He's a little bit more of a pass catching back in the pros. Uh but that's kind of good. You know, if he gets all the work, um he
35:15could be a little PPR cheat code, but that's not what we think happens. Um I think we're projecting a little bit of a
35:20split with SMA right now and it's possible one of these guys come back. But yeah, if you're desperate, if you're in the need for uh a spot start, that's this is a low-end RB2. Uh I think I
35:31think Chris is too high on Harold Fannon. I honestly don't get it. Uh he ranks 30th of 37 tight ends in yards per
35:38route run. Uh he had three targets last week in a game KCC barely played. Uh but Denzel Boston's like super interesting to me. U so the Browns play a lot of
35:50single high. Do you know what the Ravens play? Do I?
35:55They play too high at a top five rate. And here's why this is interesting to me. This year, Denzel Boston is averaging over four
36:08yards per route run against two high. That ranks behind only Z Flowers in JSN.
36:14Against single high, he averages just 0.62 yards per route run. That ranks 11th worst of 118 receivers. And again, the Ravens play this at a top five rate. Is
36:27this something inherent to Denzel Boston's skill set or is this just no QB stat? Okay. And and why is this a QB stat?
36:38Because because Watson historically really struggled against too high, but apparently he's been incredible against it this year. QBs just have preferences in the way they like to attack certain coverage shells.
36:50It's like a com It's a comfort thing. So, um, and there's a good chance if they have an analytics department, Scott, they know, hey, traditionally,
36:57Deshawn, you struggle against too high. What? Let's let's install some too high beaters. And they do that with Denzel Boston. Oh, now you know. Next thing you know, Denzel Boston is the preferred target on too high against too high. So,
37:08yeah, that that's how that's how these things happen. That's how these hard tendencies typically come come to pass. I will say
37:15this though, I tracked the Ravens like um coverage shells from like a game environment specific standpoint. It is it's crazy how specific
37:27their coverage shells have been dictated by what they do on first and second down against the run. So if they've if they
37:32stop the run and they're sitting back in these third and long situations, they're they just want to live in too high
37:38completely. It's when they've been run on. That's the only time they've ever gone to to single high because they have to to divert to playing a little bit of man coverage on like third and short. I don't think the Browns can run the ball. So, I say that to to kind of back up
37:50your point. I do think you're going to see a ton of too high. I I don't think the Browns will be able to run the ball on Baltimore. So,
37:56ball on Baltimore. I'm with you. Yeah, it was 15 straight games for Quinnon under four yards per carry. And I don't have much faith in Yes. Jal Mclofflin.
38:07Is there like a former Broncos running back coach on Cleveland staff? It's weird that they have Mclofflin and Esté.
38:14I don't know. But but Trey, I would love if you could Google who is the NCAA's all-time leading rusher or who is the
38:20most productive running back in college football history because it's this guy.
38:26This guy who was on the couch last week. To be fair, he did play at Notre Dame College, which was D2, and Young Youngstown State University, which is
38:37FCS. But all right, we're going to move on to game five, which is Titans at Colts. But before we do, I want to talk to you about our inseason betting package.
38:48Oh, what is the stats, Scott? Tom, if you tailed Tom Broly and Chris Wack, you'd be up what, 12 units on the season?
38:5612 units. Well, that's a good question. Um, do you have the script prepared? My Discord is No, your your script is wrong and outdated. No, you're supposed to be in the podcast
39:08channel of Discord. I don't use Discord while I'm on a effing podcast. What do you Why not? I do.
39:16I'm DMing Trey about it. Oh, you do? You are. That explains quite a bit, actually.
39:21Wow. All right. Cue me up again in a second. Oh, you want me to cue you want me to queue you up? Yeah. Great. That's makes it easy on me. Yeah, because because you you can't do a
39:31simple ad read. Mhm. Tell me when you're ready. Oh, I'm I'm I'm always ready.
39:38All right, we're going to hop over to game five. But before Yeah.
39:44What game is it? What is game five? Five alive. [snorts] We're going to hop over to game five of the slate, but before we do, I'm going to toss it over to Scott for a for a
39:58little note on our inseason betting package, which seems to be going pretty well. That's right. Uh our head better, Tom Bradley, the grinder himself, he's he's been killing it. He's up 13.7 units.
40:10Chris Wet, our head of projections, plus Tom Broly, you're up a combined 20.9 units through the first five weeks of the NFL season. Right now, you can get access to their picks and 70% off
40:25your first month of the inseason betting package with promo code grinder. If you've ta if you tailed their picks at just $100 per unit, you'd be up over
40:36$2,000 this year. Uh, but you can get the cost with that promo code grinder uh down to just $52.50 your first month. Just head on over to fantasypoints.com
40:48and start winning today. Bam.
40:53Love it. Was that a good ad read? Did I fumble that? What' you think? No, that was good. That was good. I mean, you were a little clunky on the read. You probably need to, you know, up
40:59upgrade the font size. Might help you. Your old eyes having trouble reading that, but Okay.
41:04Uh, yeah. So, game five is is Tennessee and Indianapolis. Another divisional game here in the 1pm slate. The overunders 44. Indie favored by seven at home to the Tennessee Titans who are
41:17hless. All right. This is a whole bunch of gross and yet we have seven starts slashflexes.
41:28Can I tell you something? Go ahead. I It's kind of nasty, but I kind of like Wandell as a flex, bro. Listen. Just listen. And this was another one of my bet touts on John show for the week. First of all, his line is
41:42obnoxiously low, so you're going to get pretty good action on that. But the Colts are giving up 12.37 yards per target to the slot on like ridiculous volume. 27 receptions to the slot or to
41:54slot receivers, which is I think number two or three in the league. So like, you know, least efficient defense against the slot on high volume. It's a great combo. Plus, Scott, they play a lot of
42:06man. This Lou Interarumo defense is very aggressive. Wandell Robinson has traditionally been a very good blitz beater in his career. That's even true for this year. Despite how gross the Titans offense has been, Jell, I think,
42:18is averaging over two yards per route run against man, but under two yards per route run against zone. So, it's held
42:25true even in the nasty situation he's in. I like him as a flex. Now, wide receiver 38 probably feels relatively appropriate. I like him as a flex and as a prop guy, but uh what do you think about Winthon Wandell?
42:38Well, first of all, we have this running bit about how much I hate Jameson Williams. My hatred for him does not compare to my
42:46hatred for Well Robinson. Theo Ginger made me take him on a main event team. And I said at the time, I would rather
42:53gouge my own eyeballs out with a spoon than win a million dollars with Juan Del Robinson on my roster. Um, but I I saw
43:01the same things you saw. Seventh most fantasy points per game allowed to the slot. Um, top six in man rate. Juell
43:10much better against man. 12 16th best of 56 wide receivers. Much worse against zone. My question for you about this is does it really count with Rondell? Like
43:22even Freeze, Tennessee's best beat rider, is like he's not even really a wide receiver. Like even in practice, he's not even out there running wide receiver routes. He's like a borderline passcatching running back. So like does
43:33he actually even get the schematic boost and the on paper moose boost in this spot?
43:38Wait, what? What are we talking about right now? Juan Robinson's like Mickey Mouse route trait. Uh he he play it's like a traditional slot
43:50role in the Dable offense. It's the same slot role he's played for Dable for three, four years.
43:57I don't know what you want me to say. I mean, it is 3.6 ADOT.
44:02Uh, it's Yeah, it's it's like 5.8 actually, isn't it? Yeah. I mean, that's still really low.
44:08Yeah, it's on par with his career minus last year. Last year was the outlier and that was mostly after Dable got fired.
44:14This is kind of what we expected. Yeah. So, I'm not uh 90% catchable target rate, too. So, he he obviously has a nice little connection with with That's the ADOT. Yeah, for sure. or the ADOT.
44:27So, I don't know what you want me to say. I mean, listen, I I just hate this guy. I I don't want to play him. I I don't want
44:33to be talked into him. Bet is over if you're a betting man and play him as a flex. You'll be happy.
44:39Cardinal tape. He won't be. No, you just just out completely.
44:44Yeah. What do we The 0 and5 Titans, which suck. Uh Carnell Tate, the stat I had was he averages 145 yards per game when when
44:56Ward clears 200 and just 32.3 the rest of the time. And that's, you know, misleading stat, but it's also like I hate Cam Ward. I hate the Titans. Um
45:0824% target share, 33% first read share. That's good on paper. The talent's there. He's so much more talented than Juan Dale, but you're still investing in this this gross offense. Juan Dale, you said that with a nice
45:20little southern twang. All right, Tony Pard. What are you doing with him? RB21. We're calling it on the fence.
45:27I I don't know. He's a workhorse. He's not a Bellcow. He loses passing down snaps to Taj Spears, which is a little concerning. This is a great The Colts defense sucks and yet the Titans are
45:39still sevenpoint dogs. So that doesn't give me much confidence in in Pard.
45:45The Colts defense does in fact stink. They've given up a ton of fantasy points. I think Chris is thinks this could be a
45:51total slot fest, which is when just two really bad teams face off and just just hammer up a lot of points because their their defense just is so bad. You know what's crazy?
46:01That their offense sucks. You know what's crazy? The Colts are giving up, is it the most fantasy points per game to running backs? No, sorry.
46:0716, though. And they've they've done that despite having played the Houston Texans and the Washington Commanders.
46:14Oh, that's a good stat. I had that on last week's show. Yeah, that's crazy. Like to be that bad against the run and and you had the privilege of playing those two teams, that's that's insane. So,
46:24anyways, on the Colts side of this, uh Jonathan Taylor an obvious start. We're calling Daniel Jones a sit, of course.
46:31I am very conflicted on Josh DS. I feel like the ship might be setting or sailing, I should say. The the ship might be setting, Scott. Oh. Uh, say it like Shan Connory.
46:44I I can't do a Sean Connory as good as you. If you want to remind the people of your Sean Connory. [laughter] That's okay.
46:50Yeah. I I don't know. What do you do you have anything for me on Josh Towns? Anything that give me a little confidence here because I'm pretty shaken from what I've seen this year.
46:56No. No. He's Dude, it's it might be over. I love Josh Downs. Dude, the ass is incredible.
47:04Um, but like I mean that we could say that only for so long until like targets and yards are what actually matters. Uh, it looks like he's lost
47:15utilization to Laquan Treadwell of all people. Uh, his his first read target share went from 35% down to 14%. Lacoan Treadwell up to
47:2724% over that span. Uh, that's alarming. That's concerning.
47:33Yeah, that's gross, man. So, um, Keenan Allen, by the way, uh, yeah, I I don't get this. I don't get why he's Why with all these guys were high Tyler Warren, Josh DS, and Keenan.
47:50Remember, there are four teams on by, and there's a bunch of injuries. Yeah, that must be what it is.
47:56I will say though, I I love me some Jonathan Taylor, who historically owns the Titans.
48:03He averages 36.7 fantasy points per game in his last three against them. And we know the most important thing with him is he's the most game script sensitive
48:14player in fantasy football history. They're seven point favorites here. Jonathan Taylor averages 28.4 four fantasy points per game in wins since the start of last season. That's that's like 14 fantasy points per
48:28game, more than his 14.9 in losses. So, that's a huge jump. And so, yeah, this is the spot for Jonathan Taylor to rack up 24 carries and maybe house one or two of
48:40them. I hate myself for this, but I'm going to backtrack. I have a positive note on uh on Josh Downs. Well, let's hear it. So, one of the biggest knocks on him coming into the season was that he never played 12 and
48:5113 personnel. Yeah. Each of the last two weeks, he's got over 20 snaps in 12 and 13 personnel.
48:59Yeah. Well, you know, I I kind we I kind of knew that already. The the bigger thing to me is just
49:04Well, it wasn't for you. It was for the listener. Yeah. To We said this a week ago and we said it two weeks before that, but the
49:10the stat I had that was interesting was um he sucks out wide. According to Ash, this isn't true, but he's averaging just 0.55 yards per route run out wide, 1.93
49:24from the slot. So, it's like, okay, he's finally getting those snaps, but he's not doing anything with Well, hold on. Who said it? Who said it was out wide?
49:34I guess that's fair. I kind of just assumed it would be uh Yeah, you out wide in the heavy personnel.
49:41You're not required. I can actually look at specifically where he's lining up in those situations.
49:47Okay, it's out wide [laughter] classic, but the ass is good. So, I I don't know what's going on here, but at a certain point, we're five weeks into the season,
49:58it's it's just alarming, disconcerting. Yeah, very very much so. Um, we like Tyler Warren, though, tight end six, he's heating up. Does it feel like it or no? Yeah. Yeah, I guess. I guess he's top
50:11six among all tight ends in XF XFP per game. Uh really XFP mogging Josh DS. So there's that. He's just like the clear number one to me. It is a low A dot. Whatever.
50:25He's also stealing goal line touches from Jonathan Taylor. Yeah, that's true, too. He's got three carries inside the five, I think. One one for a touchdown. So that's that's fun. All right, let's move
50:36on. Jets at Patriots game six on the slate over under a 43 and a half. New England favored by seven at home. Drake May has seemingly pulled his head out of the clouds and is playing good football
50:48again. Um we'll get to them in a second. Let's start with the Jets. Gino all the way down at QB27. Is this it? It's over. It's over. It's over.
50:58How many quarterbacks are there even on this slate? Well, there's what is there 28 teams. So there he's second to last. Who's below him? Was it Cam Ward? It has to be. I'll look. You talk. I'll
51:12look. No, I'm already there. It's Cam Ward. It's Cam Ward. Okay. Okay.
51:18What's wrong with Gino, though? What' Gino do? I mean, what what has he done? He's done nothing except for the Lions, which we
51:24know are a soft defense. Careful, bro. He had 182 yards against Cleveland.
51:30That's awesome. Yeah. What did he have against the Bears? It's like 119, bro.
51:37Uh, he averages 9.9 fantasy points per game over his last two games. The the Patriots allow uh just 15.2. That's that's top 10. So, I I don't know why you're asking me about Gino Smith. Brillan Allen, it's a fringe RB1. I I
51:52don't know that I agree with that. Uh he he's getting just about all the work, which is nice to see. He had a good
51:59productive outing last week, but again, no pass game involvement whatsoever.
52:04Just 0.25 yards per route run. That's second worst of 166 qualifying players.
52:11He looks good on the ground and he had 20 plus carries last week. He's top 12 in miss tackles force per attempt, top
52:1712 in yards after contact per attempt. I just worry the Jets get scripted out of this game fairly quickly as seven-point
52:24dog. So, I would have him as a high-end RB. Maybe this is just Jets's playing good defense though.
52:29Yeah, but they're seven point dogs. Vegas like I I know. I think I think it should be a little tighter. Like a smidge. Like five and a half. Okay. I think they should keep it close. Take the Jets to cover, folks.
52:41Um Brillin Allen or Javvante Williams? Javante. Brillin Allen or Chuba Hubard.
52:48Chuba. Brillin Allen or Jaylen Warren? Oh, Warren. Dude, you're gonna have to you're going to be in a fist fight with Chris on on Friday. Brillan Allen or Bachel Ton
52:59Raandre. Yeah, Henry. I'm I was more so looking at the people behind Brillan Allen. Well, I'm looking at the I know. Allen or Tutin? Allen or Tutin?
53:11Allen. Okay. Allen or Irving? Allen. Okay. So, you you think Allen's about RB15? Yeah. Okay, cool. You'll have to you'll have to fist fight Chris about that on
53:23Friday. So then Garrett Wilson, so if if Gino Smith is so bad and not producing anything, why how are we so bullish on Garrett Wilson then? Scott, explain that to the listener. Uh because Adani Mitchell is going to
53:36miss again this week and Garrett Wilson has a 36% target share in the three games he missed. That leads all wide
53:42receivers. So all the uh passing game really just kind of flows through him.
53:48Uh he's he's playing really well. He's top five and ass. It's a great schematic matchup. He dude, right now he's averaging 4.44 yards per route run
54:00against man coverage. That's over twice as good against zone. Uh New England plays man coverage at the second highest rate in the league. And they could be down their two starting quarterbacks or they could play and be
54:13limited. Uh Davis and Gonzalez. A Mitchell having surgery on his finger by the way. So again, or he already had it? No, he's having it. Aaron Glenn said
54:24he's having another procedure on his finger today. It's minor though. It's not He said he got caught in his jersey.
54:30Like what happened? A teammate's jersey. Yeah. Not sure. Not sure. Oh, maybe he wore like a wedding ring and it got ripped off or something like that. Maybe. Gross. Tim Patrick sit. Mason Taylor sit.
54:43Gross. Gross. Is Ken? He's hurt again. Kenan CD. Yeah, he's in the concussion protocol. Yeah, that's what it is. Okay, on the
54:50other side of it, Drake May heating up QB5 here. We're back, baby. We're so back.
54:55We've gotten some criticism actually for not praising him lavishly for I actually got some praise because in the the draft guide I said like one of the difficult things with doing these rankings is time preference and like you
55:08have different time preferences in different leagues. Yeah. Um, but I I said Drake May is low in my rankings because I expect him to really struggle for the first month of the season and then rebound, which is
55:20Did you exactly what happened? Yeah. AJ Brown also designated to return to practice today. So, that's good.
55:27That's going to be that's going to be helpful if he We have him projected out right now, but if he can play, I don't think he's playing this week.
55:33Yeah. Oh, okay. But but he's starting his They started his clock officially. So, they have 21 days to activate him. So,
55:38all right. All right. Raandre Stevenson RB7 without a Trayvon Henderson. This is a Bellcal role. Although, what about this Caner guy? Cory Ker.
55:49Ker. Conir. Cory Ker. Yeah. I don't know. I he he got more work last week than I would have expected because you remember from the Trayvon Henderson when he was playing and Raandre was out, he was
56:02averaging like 22 fantasy points per game. He was getting just about all the work. Mhm.
56:08It's the third game this year he's had six carries. Cory Ker. Yeah. Maybe they like this guy. What What do you know about him? Do you know anything? Nothing either. Yeah. Undrafted guy. Played at
56:20Cincinnati, I believe. I don't I don't know anything about Oh, you know who knows all about Cory Ker then? Jake Trippy.
56:25Yeah, right. Of course. Anyways, Raandre presumably has a Bellcow role. I think he's obviously a big time start this week. Romeo Dobs, wide receiver 23. He's another guy who's
56:37kind of come alive, right? Do you like Doss in week in week one without Tayvon Henderson, Raandre did get 74% of the backfield XFP. Yeah, it's probably going
56:51to be somewhere around there, which which checks out to uh the mid-range RB1 projection that that Chris has, especially in this spot. Okay, Romeo Dobs, sorry. He he uh really
57:04he actually still hasn't broke out. He's only got more than four targets in one game. I I'm mistaken here, bro. We're we're posting the ass on Twitter the the average separation score charts and everyone thinks they see
57:16Romeo Dobs and it makes them question everything. I know. It's not It's not great.
57:22So So what's going on here? Are you like do you like is Romeo Dobs paying one of your guys under the table to pat his
57:29stats? I don't know. I thought maybe there was a bias, but our only New England fans on the charting team don't do separation
57:34charting. So, is he actually good though? Is Yeah, I've been saying it for years. He's good.
57:41So, why doesn't he get the ball? Why doesn't he score fantasy points? I don't know, man. To be fair, like Drake had two big plays on busted coverages last week.
57:54Like, it's it's my point is it's not like he's preferring other he's preferring the guys running wide open. Well, what what what's my little
58:00nickname for Drake May? The Mao Drake Mao Z Dong. He's the Mao Zong of quarterbacks because he likes to spread the wealth around so much. And you really see that they're like
58:13um the only team without a wide receiver over a 22% target share, something like that. Uh, and this dates back to high
58:21school is like he would always check the wide receivers's stats at halftime and whoever wasn't involved, he's like, I need to I need to make sure they're involved.
58:32And so maybe this just isn't conducive to fantasy production and Chris's projection on Dobs is too high.
58:38Yeah, but go look at the guys behind Dobs. It's a It's a weird week. I'm Let's Let's look at the guys behind uh
58:44Romeo Dobs. We have Eftton Chisum, who I'm not a film guy, but to me looks exactly like Wes Welker and Julian Edelman, future Hall of Famer, slot wide
58:54receiver. Looks like him, right? That's what you mean. I was talking about the look at the receivers behind Dobs in projections. I think you'll feel comfortable pretty quickly with the projection. Directly
59:07behind him, you have Xavier Worthy, Carnell Tate, Terry McLaren, Josh Downs, Denzel Boston.
59:12or any of them like obviously Denzel Boston's going off this week. I I tend to agree Denzel's the one guy I'd put put ahead of Dobs there. Everyone else I'm fine with it.
59:22Cool. Cool. All right.
59:28What's What's left here? Demorar Douglas sit. Hunter Henry sit. Moving on to the next game.
59:34The final game of today's show. The New Orleans Saints travel to New York to play your Gman over under a 45 and a half. New Orleans favored by just half a point on the road. Have the Giants not been better
59:48than this? Do the Giants deserve this? New Orleans is favored on the road. New Orleans has been ass. The Giants are three and two. Yeah.
60:00What are we doing? What does Vegas know that I don't? Dude, don't don't do this to me. You You know, I'm a Giants fan at heart. I season ticket holder for the first
60:1228 years of my life. What does Vegas know that I don't? Seriously, I want to know. This is like Well, we're going to get to the Giant side of it, but there's so many guys I like in this
60:23matchup. I don't know, man. This is tough. Let's [snorts] start with the Saint side.
60:29Tyler Shuck back in our QB1 graces here. QB10.
60:35How do you feel about that? The Blake Bortles comp was was so on point. Right now, he's the QB1 by XFP
60:41per game, the QB 15 by fantasy points per game. So, it's all volume. Uh to be fair, he was much higher and then he Yeah. played the Vikings. Yeah. So, you know, this is certainly a
60:52softer matchup. Um it was a career worst performance by just about every stat. Uh so, I like this. I think this is right. Um, Chris Olive, it's kind of the same
61:05thing. Like it was his first bad game and like a string of 10 straight awesome double- digit target games with Shuck.
61:12Uh, and a lot of that was just play volume. Um, but for through the first four weeks of the season, he was second
61:18in XFP per game and uh, you know, over his last 10 12 games, something like that, he he leads all wide receivers in targets. Uh Devon Vle is another just
61:29like this fast-paced offense. The volume is awesome. He is 99th in yards per route run, but he's 24th in XFP per game. He just he just runs a lot of
61:42routes. He's just playing more games than other people because, you know, it's he's running the equivalent of five quarters worth of routes per game. Uh Parker Washington down at three quarters
61:55per game because of all these blowouts in Jacksonville's favor. So uh yeah, I I can't hate on it too much. Jawan lowend tight end one. Devon Vely
62:06mid-range wide receiver three. Chris Olive top six. Tyler Shuck lowend QB1. Sounds good.
62:12I think Cal Alvin Kamara is a I think you can flex him this week. Yeah, I mean he's right there. He's RB.
62:18I'd play him over Devon Bailey. I think the Giants are woefully bad against the run, Scott. Like really, really bad.
62:25Woefully. They give up 4.9 yards per carry. The only reason is you're you're talking about how bad they are against the run. And Kendry Miller out carried Kamara 10 to three last week.
62:36Okay, then Kendry Miller's a flex. I don't care. One of these guys is producing a lot. We don't we don't really know which
62:42which makes them both kind of down there. Tomorrow was playing through a back injury. He he he didn't play at all
62:48in the third quarter last week. I don't know. I'm just saying.
62:54Again, these projections get better as the week goes on. We we find out more information.
62:59Yeah. I I just uh the Giants are really bad against the run. Yeah. But you know who's really bad at running?
63:06Yeah. So, bro, Jaci Kroski Merritt had like 82 yards against the Giants. Enough said.
63:15Enough said. Anyways, you want to hit the Giants? I think this is Cam Scataboo's breakout game of the season.
63:22What, bro? Do this to me. The Saints just gave up 113 yards to a walking corpse, Aaron Jones.
63:31Yeah. Yeah. So, his his role has really gotten a lot worse. And so, shout out to us for calling him a sell high. Maybe if Brett is right, you get another week long
63:42window to sell. But his backfield XFP share went from 82% in week three to 58% to 44% last week. He's lost the the goal line work completely. Uh and by the way,
63:53he had a not a game losing fumble, but a game they blew the win because of it.
64:00Settled for a tie. Uh Naji took 100% of the inside the 10 snaps in week five.
64:06The matchup is great. To your point, the Saints are giving up the most fantasy points per game, the third most yards
64:11per carry to opposing running backs, uh, worst rushing success rate.
64:17I I'm kind of out personally. It's just You're becoming more of a committee.
64:24I don't trust the offensive line. He's not getting targets as many as he deserves. I'll take him over Woody Bashel Tutin. Nope. Nope. Uh, Brilan Allen.
64:37No way. Yep. I'll take him over all those guys for this week. Yep. Way over JK Obs. Yeah. Not Bejian.
64:45Not two. I told I told Motion we got to tighten this thing up. I need like a range of four spots on either side. But
64:53definitely taking him over Woody. So, no. No. Yeah. No, you're not. Yes, I am quite comfortably actually.
65:02But anyways, Malik Neighbors on the other side of this has a great matchup as well.
65:08Well, let's talk Malik Neighbors. Brett, he had a negative ass last week and yet lo and behold, he had 21 targets. How does that happen? Is he back? Is he all the way back? Is he not back?
65:21Well, two two important pieces of context. Negative ass doesn't mean you didn't separate on any play. So, like, did he separate on 21 plays? Also, he
65:32had 21 targets. You have to remember most plays are zero graded.
65:38Most plays are neutral wins and it's really comes down to receivers securing catch if they're targeted.
65:44So, so he had a lot of contested catches, right? I could pull it's not necessarily contested. I'm not saying that. I'm saying like a schemed,
65:52you know, if he if he has a a soft spot in the zone, he gets an easy reception. It's not it's not a win for him because
65:58we're it's a receiver stat, not an offensive efficiency stat. So he didn't do anything to earn the win. He also didn't do anything to lose the win. So it gets zero graded. So Jameus balled out. Jamus a ton of
66:10tight window through. No no I didn't I didn't say tight window said just you know soft zone coverage.
66:18Yeah underneath it. Yeah. You know, look at like he had some stats would give give uh the league neighbors like 10 yards of separation for uh just settling into the soft spot of zone or
66:30there was a funny dump off. So we we do some some broadcast prep work for one of the top guys on Fox.
66:37won't say who, but I was talking to him about NextGen stats and um he uh he pointed out that the reason he liked our data was because NextGen their highest
66:48graded separation play in a in a week last year was a screen pass. Yeah, it's embarrassing. [laughter] So he's like, "Yeah, that was the moment I knew I needed I needed something else." So
66:59um anyways, uh yeah, I mean Neighbors is obviously working back for the ACL. I knew this would be sticky, but the the
67:05role is insane and and the Saints can't cover anybody. So, it's a great matchup. If he stays healthy all year, he's a league winner in the fantasy playoffs, right? Probably. Okay. Probably. I texted you about a dynasty
67:20trade last night. You like that trade for me? I'm on the neighbor side. Neighbors for Carnell in Mecha Eggbuka.
67:28That's what people hate this as a copout, but that that really is dependent on the league.
67:33I don't think you expect much at all from from Tate and Ibuka this year.
67:40Yeah. And it's it's a little risky. Like you hope one of those guys gets to Neighbors level.
67:45I was saying, you know, Neighbors is a unicorn asset. Um I would take him round one in a reddraft if he was fully healthy. I I think I had him my wide receiver. So it's not tricky at all then. What's
67:57tricky about it? Well, it's because I mean those are two good death pieces. Like Carninal Tate maybe doesn't have neighbor ceiling, but he could be a wide receiver, too. What if he'd throw in like a Keaton
68:07Mitchell type, someone I can flex? I mean, that doesn't really matter at all. I So, I said, yeah, I would I would in a
68:13vacuum gun to my head, I would take Neighbors. Maybe I can get like a 27 second or something thrown in.
68:19Anyways, this is not a Dynasty show, but I want to My take last year, Brett, was Neighbors is better than Justin Jefferson. both in
68:27fantasy and real life football long term. Yeah, I'm I'm probably close to there.
68:33Dang. Probably close. So, like that. Um to round this out, Malik Fields is a sit. Although schematically is a good match up for him, but he's projecting wide receiver 69. We can't advise you to
68:44do anything other than sit him. Isaiah likely tight end four. He's just shredding right now. Does he have the best role among tight ends in the league other than Brock Bowers? Well, you said other than Brock
68:57Bowers, it's it's actually Isaiah likely who leads the position in target share 29% which is like top five among all receivers. Leads in targets per route run. Stat I had was 15.7 fantasy points
69:09per game over his last 13 without Mark Andrews. Talk about Justin Jefferson, that's 3.1 more than Justin Jefferson since the start of last season. Uh good news on the matchup. Saints allow the seventh
69:22most fantasy points per game to tight ends. He did have he was seen limping at the end of last week's game, so maybe monitor that. But, uh, okay. Yeah, high-end tight end one. Shout out
69:33to the Isaiah likely drafters. Shout out. If you followed Scott Barrett's draft plan, you probably have them. Hopefully. Hopefully. All right, that is going to do it for us today on part one of our
69:46week six start sit series. Uh, we'll be back tomorrow to finish this out. Part two. We got seven more games plus a five minute history lesson from Scott Bear. I'm gonna actually time you. I don't
69:58believe you can get that. You did 15 minutes. You did 15, right? It wasn't a five-minute cooking session. It was never advertised as a five-minute cooking session. All right. It was just a cooking session. Listen, I I'm not going to practice in
70:10front of a mirror. I'm going to go until I said my piece and I've done my part and I've educated the people on what
70:16they need to know. All right. I like it. All right. That's going to do it for us today, folks. Thank you so much for sticking with us.
70:23Oh my god, the amount of times you cut me off in the middle of a transition is unbelievable. It is unbelievable.
70:30Well, that's the drinking game. Did you Did you see one of our followers made a fantasy football daily drinking game? Is
70:36you have to do uh you have to take two sips of your beer every time I cut you off in the middle of a transition. So,
70:42I'm just trying to I'm just trying to help the guys party. [snorts] All right, guys. Thanks for sticking with us. Every time you say something, oh my something dumb, you have to do a shot.
70:54But we had to take that out. We didn't want anyone to die. BAC of like 0.9.
71:00I'm not doing it again, Trey. You're going to have to cut the recording. Thanks for listening to Fantasy Football Daily with Brett and Scott. We appreciate you joining us. Uh please like, comment, subscribe, tell your
71:11friends. We'll see you tomorrow.
71:17Heat.
71:24Hey. Hey.
