0:00Fantasy Football Daily is back. We are drafting from the 112 and I have enlisted my guy John Hansen to come in
0:08here and help me with a mock draft.
0:19>> You're going to notice Brett Whitefield was gifted the number one spot. Our guy Troy Moyer is a charter here at Fantasy
0:26Points Data as well as in these streets.
0:28Tiger 3 I33 Jay Wood one of our developers. We've got a bunch of subscribers as well as one of the perks
0:33of being a subscriber at Fantasy Points.
0:35You might just hop into a mockdraft on a random Thursday with myself and John.
0:40We're going to be picking from the 12 spot in this one. If you haven't already, go back and listen to our draft
0:45strategy video with myself, John, and Brian Drake. We broke down kind of our strategy at the 101. That was a banger
0:50team. John, this is a totally different spot. We were just saying on that stream >> that Yeah. I mean, one 101 is like the
0:58it's one of the best spots. This is the one of the best years for the 101 or 102. Uh yeah, 1121 is a lot harder. Uh
1:06just to break down kind of scoring settings real quick. This is just a standard one P uh one quarterback, two running back, two receiver, one tight
1:12end, two flex. We're going to do full PPR so these receivers get a little bit of a boost. Uh 112 is a totally
1:19different spot. John, when you're getting to a room this season at 112, what are you thinking? What do we double tap running back in this one? Uh,
1:29depending on who's there. We just went through the tiers list for second round receivers. Check that video out right here on this YouTube channel as well.
1:38What's your thought process when you get into the 12 spot? I >> mean, I default to balance. That's always been my approach. So, I I would
1:46like ideally to get an anchor running back and an anchor wide receiver, quite frankly. But, you know, we'll see how the board flows because I have not yet
1:56drafted from this spot. Like, not even close. For some reason, all the drafts I've done have >> You're lucky >> in the top seven.
2:04>> Uh, you're you're running high because I I've I've gotten a few 112s in some uh some best ball drafts that I've done
2:09early and uh it is it's not fun, honestly. This is a it's it's kind of been a lot of the best teams in weirdly
2:16in some of these best tournaments over the last couple years have been drafted from this kind of one-two turn. This feel this year feels a lot different. Um
2:24I'm >> Well, I will say Yeah. Um you know, I'm I'm I'm thinking Saquon Barkley here with one of the picks.
2:30>> All right. Well, we got potentially CD Lamb. Oh, okay.
2:34>> We got We got to go Lamb all day.
2:37>> We do. Totally.
2:37>> Yeah. Lamb all day. Agree.
2:39>> Lamb all day. And you want to go Barkley? I like that start a lot.
2:42>> Yeah. Going to have to do that.
2:43>> Lamb Barkley. I was sitting here sitting here hating on the uh the 12 pick and lamb fall. Yeah. [laughter] Easy, easy
2:50money. Easy money. I like it when when CD Lamb falls to us. Triple crown candidate to me and CD Lamb. Still, he
2:56had the ankle injury last year. Still had his fifth straight 1,000 yard season even though he missed a few games. I
3:01think there's just massive upside with Lamb.
3:04>> Couple of dips here we're buying.
3:05>> Yeah, a couple of dips, that's for sure.
3:07Barkley, you know, just now 29, maybe he's getting close to that age apex, but you and I were just talking on our our
3:13tears ranking show. We both are buying a bounceback bigly from Barkley this season. Yeah, you know me, if I'm if I'm
3:20in on an aging running back, then I you know, look, I don't I can't see the future. But, you know, my my uh default
3:28is to be highly skeptical of aging running backs, but I'm I've got no qualms with Barkley after the last four years. John, you made a point last year
3:37on a stream. I think it was the start sit stream with Tom and I, and you're like, I'm an agist, but if somebody's a
3:43future Hall of Famer, I'm probably just going to back you when you're a good price. And it kind of feels like that
3:48with Barkley. I mean, he's going to be close to 10,000 career rushing yards after this season. He's definitely on a Hall of Fame track. I know it's a lot
3:57harder for running backs to get into the hall, but Barkley at this pace is he's on he's going to have a gold jacket, I
4:03think, at some point. Maybe he's not a first ballot kind of guy, but you know, a couple more seasons like this,
4:09especially if he has a nice bounceback year. Yeah, he's in that, you know, absolutely in that talent tier. So, nice start. I was just hating on how much I
4:17hate the 12 the 12 hole. I did like your Barkley call, but getting land there is real nice. All right, so we got
4:23>> I like it. I like it too, Graham, because now we can go best player available basically because we've got anchors at the two critical positions at
4:32running back and wide receiver.
4:34>> Yeah, absolutely. Two anchors and you know, we can go probably running back, receiver again.
4:41Uh, we'll see if we feel strongly about any of the quarterbacks that like maybe fall to us. Uh, I'm I'm a big wait on
4:48quarterback this year guy, but Josh Josh Allen does kind of slip into this pocket and it I got to be honest, I'm usually
4:54not one to take her quarterback in the third round, but >> it is very tempting.
4:59>> You got to put blinders on like I can't see that Allen's available. No, no, no.
5:02Just just by you know, >> I know, I know. But man, uh, dude, he he's just like a lock for 20 21 22
5:10points per game. Uh, Sebass said that uh, Sebass 8889 starts Puka and Bowers.
5:17That's real nice in wide receiver, excuse me, in PPR. Uh, no running backs to start for Sebass. We'll see who he
5:24gets in this third and fourth round, but I mean, you probably just locked up like 220 receptions right there, Cbass.
5:31>> That's a pretty insane in the membrane start right there. Yeah, I I might need to go get a couple Puka and Bowowers
5:36teams. I'll be honest with you, after that start. Uh, our guy Jay Wood, Tiger 3 I33, is one of our developers here at
5:42Fantasy Points. He's JT Drake London. I think he was just listening to our stream there, John, cuz we were talking about Drake London there in that second
5:49round pocket.
5:50>> Boy, I missed the days when JT was a second round pick, though. Those are good times right there.
5:55>> That I'm not joking. I had 25 or 30% JT in baseball last year. like all the basketball bros would tell you never to
6:03do that to have that much equity on one second round player and I was like yeah but this is like a once in a-lifetime
6:08situation with JT. Uh and it worked out incredibly well.
6:12>> The second round is not as near as cut and dry in my opinion this year. Uh it's basically one big long flat tier
6:19starting with uh Barkley to me. I have Lamb significantly higher than where we got him at the 12 spot.
6:26>> That's a great start by team one right there I think.
6:29>> Yeah. Brett Whitefield in the one hole.
6:30So, he gets Gibbs, Olve, and Bree Hall.
6:33That is very, very nice.
6:35>> Yeah, really good.
6:36>> Uh, John, we didn't talk about it on our tears show. Are you pushing into the second round? I I kind of think he is a
6:41little closer to the Drake London, Nico Collins tier than than ADPs should suggest.
6:46>> Yeah, I'm in on a uh this year. I I feel very good about it. I I think he clicked really well with Tyler Shuck. I I have
6:54thought about the Saints and Tyler Shuck a lot and I'm like I just don't want to get caught up in a small sample size and
7:04a year two in which you know there's now film on Tyler Shock and all that like the CJ Strad effect where you take a
7:12little step back in year one. I'm I'm trying to find flaws and holes and I'm I'm just not seeing it. Between Kell
7:20Moore, that's a massive part. Shuck's physical ability, what he showed last year, all the upgrades. I think their old line is actually not bad. They got a
7:31couple number one picks there at offensive tackle. So, I just can't find the flaws to dissuade me from being in on the Saints
7:40this year.
7:41>> I'm with you. And with a lav in particular, he's averaged 70 yards per game in three out of four seasons. The
7:48one season he didn't do it. He had a bunch of injury issues in 24 and his quarterback for half the season was the
7:53Rattler. John Spencer [laughter] Rattler was the quarterback. We've got a hu I mean just I know Rattler played pretty well last year honestly, but you
8:01know people were like did he do enough to lose the job? He did take a big step forward last year, but Tyler Shuck I
8:06agree just took them to a new level.
8:09This Kellmore offense has always been up in pace. We know the play volume will be there.
8:13>> By the way, Shuck could be the the pick at quarterback this year. It it's within the realm of outcomes that Tyler Shuck
8:19goes down. It's like that was the best pick at quarterback this year. Granted, in the 13th round, it is an unbelievable late round
8:28quarterback season. Like I think you can make an argument that QB8 to QB 17 should be separated by like literally 20
8:36points. And Chuck, Chuck to me is a part of that. He's got some, you know, the design rushing upside as well. You know,
8:43if he takes a step forward of a passer, he certainly could be a backend QB1 this season. All right, John, we're nearly
8:49back on the clock. Last three picks were Trey McBride, Josh Allen, and Garrett Wilson.
8:53>> Thanks right here.
8:54>> Yeah, and this this is the this is the hard part of picking at this one two turn. It's not just like we kind of got
8:58a gift with Lamb to be honest with you at 12. That is not going to happen in most leagues. Uh Lamb is going to
9:04comfortably go in that one nine to 110 11 pocket. Um, this is it's tricky to me. Uh, Trey, let's look at Flex. I I
9:12think quarterback is just like out to me. I don't want Josh Allen or No, Lamar Jackson here since Allen is gone.
9:19>> Uh, >> I could be talked into Lovelin, by the way.
9:22>> Yeah. Yeah. Um, Troy, if you wouldn't mind, pop over to running back just real quick. It's probably Achan,
9:31Irving, Kairen. Nah, >> no.
9:34>> You want to go Lovelin?
9:36>> BPA, baby. That's what I'm saying. Like that's the advantage of getting an anchor wide receiver one and an anchor running back one. Now we we can go
9:46Lovelin and there will not be a discernable flaw with our roster. I don't think.
9:51>> All right. I like Loeland here. I think this next one is a bit of a debate.
9:54Where you at on Z Flowers versus Manki?
9:56Because I think I prefer Flowers. Had the wide receiver won season last year.
10:00Clear target earner on this offense. You take out Isaiah likely. They don't have a second receiver.
10:06Hey, I I have not I have uh undersold Flowers last two years, but I did love him coming out and I think he's been
10:18good. I mean, a little disappointed he doesn't make more big plays, but the role >> Mhm.
10:23>> it I mean, they just lost likely Coler obviously DeHop, they're breaking in those younger players like I like Flowers here.
10:33>> Yeah, let's go Flowers projections. not clearly prefer Flowers. He's about 12 points ahead of Lad in our seasonl long projections. And just in terms of
10:42overall projection, Lad uh 198.2 Flowers cut above 211. So maybe it is a different a little bit of a tear break
10:50actually. We have that there.
10:51>> Yeah.
10:52>> Um I'm in on Z. Big time in on Z this year. It's just very little target competition.
10:58I I think Lamar has taken a step forward as a passer. His accuracy has just gotten better and better. And honestly,
11:04Zay's just gotten better and better each year. He's earned more targets, gone from 108 in his rookie season up to 120.
11:09He could certainly push for 130 this season.
11:12>> The vibe has always been good. I was around him. I didn't talk with him, but I I observed him. I'm like, "Yeah, I
11:16like this guy." Like, he's he's definitely got a good vibe. Uh, and he's been durable.
11:21>> Yeah, extremely extremely durable.
11:23Flowers last year borderline wide receiver one. He tied AJ Brown with 14.7 points per game as the wide receiver 12.
11:31I think that's kind of like to me honestly John that kind of feels like the floor to me like as long as Lamar
11:38stays healthy I think he's got a Z's got an incredibly high floor and if Lamar has like a breakout another huge season
11:45another breakout huge season in terms of his passing efficiency this guy's had the ability to you know have a 7 8 9%
11:51touchdown rate Z Flowers only scored five touchdowns last year certainly because he could have 8 n 10 potential and that would push him well into the
12:00wide receiver for one tier.
12:02>> They're talking up Declan Doyle, you know, for what it's worth. Uh he is a firsttime play caller and all that, but
12:09you know, learning from Ben Johnson, they're Lamar apparently loves him. So that's we're off to a good start there with some vibes.
12:16>> Yeah, the Doyle hire is really interesting. I spoke to Brett about it yesterday on our 10 offseason moves that everybody is sleeping on show and I
12:27brought up to clan Doyle is like maybe he's the there's like nine new play callers or maybe eight new play callers
12:32this year. John, I think he's in my in my mind he's the front runner to be the best one of the group coming from Shawn
12:38Payeyton. Worked with Payton with the Saints and Broncos and then Yeah, dude.
12:42He he worked with Ben Johnson last year.
12:44So, I mean >> some amazing like bloodline coaching line there to work through. You're looking to catch lightning in a jar with
12:51a young guy like that who might be great.
12:55>> Exactly. And that's kind of that's kind of my thought process. It's like Lamar has been a massive talent elevator. Huge
13:02upside is in with Ben Johnson. We'll see how much Doyle learned from our guy Ben Johnson.
13:10But um I love this start. I got to be honest. This is this is about as good as it gets from 112. Lamb Barkley,
13:16Loveland, and Flowers. We've got a really really good floor at both receiver and running back. We'll probably be targeting RB2. Uh it is a
13:26bit of a dead zone. I think after really Kairen goes and maybe Bucky. It's kind of one big long flat tier. So we'll
13:32probably have to push. Maybe a few running backs we like up up the board a little bit. We'll we'll strategize.
13:37>> Well, there's a guy that is on the same team as one of our prior picks. I think would be a pretty damn good pick here
13:44with one of our next two picks. I think I know where your head >> give it away, but >> I think I know where your head's on that
13:49one.
13:50>> Well, there's actually two candidates I believe. Um I think the the first guy I thought of will have a better chance
13:59of being on the board for us here.
14:02>> Yeah, I think you're right. I think you're right.
14:04>> Scatteroo goes, by the way, another spoiler alert. I ran Scataboo up the flag pole with Leenian Tomlinson on the podcast. And by the way, if you're
14:14listening uh to this on a podcast after fourth, then that's already up the interview with LT.
14:23Full green light on Cam Scatteraboo.
14:24He's a little worried about the physical playing style in terms of the longevity of the career, but full green light on
14:30Cam Scaboo.
14:32>> Yeah, love to get the anti LT stamp of approval, that's for sure. Uh Leaney Thomasson literally the best fantasy running back of all time
14:39>> and is a great analyst. Yeah, the the fact that he's still uh giving a little consulting work to the Chargers too that
14:45made me even more bullish about Omar and Hampton. But really to me, the only issue with Scataboo is the injury. You
14:52know, coming back from that injury.
14:54We've just seen a number of players take a big step back in terms of their efficiency, whether it's a receiver or
14:59running back. Our guy Ryan Heath has put together a lot of work on on that in particular with running backs. Like even
15:05going back to Tony Pard, he had a very similar injury and the next year he took a step back >> between that and the Matt Nai factor. It
15:13is a little scary. A little scary, but you're not paying for it, John. I mean, he was a backend RB1, you know, went
15:18healthy last year and he's going in the fourth round. And I think he will, if we get positive reports, continued positive
15:24reports from Scataboo, he's going to sneak into that third round. I think >> it's a nice little pocket that fourth round. It's like, yeah, we're not
15:30totally sold on you. uh or you haven't done it like multiple years, so you know, you're not going to be a top 24
15:39pick, but you you do get some very appealing names, you know, in this round. And Cam Scaboo this year is absolutely one of them. One of the
15:47running backs. Uh actually, no, they're still they're still available, but we we still got a long ass wait here until our
15:55next pick. But definitely like uh this start.
15:58>> Lamb Barkley, Lovelin, Flowers. It's got stability, continuity, yet it also has upside and a nice ceiling.
16:06>> Yeah, that's like I said, I think this is the best 112 start you could possibly ask for. And I I like how we we got
16:12aggressive there on Love Lovelin. Solved our tight end early. We'll go late round quarterback with this team >> for sure.
16:17>> Two teams I got to shout out real quick.
16:19We were just talking Scaboo. This Seabbass, that's sick. Puka Bowers, he gets Javvante. We were just talking about maybe Javvantee is way too
16:26underrated. He gets Scataboo. Uh, and of course our guy Brett, if you're sitting on the 101 this year, I mean, it's just
16:32like an incredible spot. But look at Gibbs, Olave, gets Breeze, then our guy David Montgomery, and of course also our guy Christian Watson. Love that start
16:41for Brett there.
16:43>> Yeah. Well, let's take a look at our running back options.
16:46>> Yeah. Um, I not surprisingly, we we've been kind of anti- Travis Han. Uh, he's slipping. This is the this is the
16:55furthest I've ever seen him slip so far.
16:57He's been solidly going in the at least middle to back into the third round. Uh it would be a massive ADP value, John,
17:05even though I know you and I are super high on him. Same with Bucky Irving.
17:08He's been really sliding with that shoulder injury. Would be a decent value if he got back to us.
17:13>> There's the running back Swift. That's what I was eyeballing.
17:15>> Yeah.
17:16>> And Jamonte. Damn it.
17:17>> Yeah.
17:18>> Yeah. I [sighs] We'll have to see if any of these guys get back. I would be pretty surprised. We've got some teams
17:24right here coming up between Kyle and Tiger >> here. Kyle and Tiger are probably going to take a running back here. I would be
17:31pretty surprised if they did not. We'll see.
17:34>> Uh in which case I kind of like Bashel Tutin as the backup RB2. Swing for some upside. We can maybe Yep. There goes Oh,
17:41there he goes right there.
17:42>> Oh my goodness.
17:43>> That's the first time I've seen Toutin over Achan and Irving. That is a forwardlooking pick there from our guy uh Kyle Photo. I'm uh I don't know, man,
17:54with Tutin. I'm not I guess right now I'm agnostic. I I probably need to feel it out a little bit more. What's up with
18:03Chris Rodriguez? If Chris Rodriguez is out there the first week, you know, with the pads on and he practices normally, I don't know. I I think he's going to be
18:13a threat to tootin here. And fifth round is I mean, it's a little pricey. I don't I don't disagree that the the sharp
18:23drafters are pushing him into this pocket like the middle of a fifth round and you you're pro this is probably like
18:29the max I would go because these these receivers in that range like Tara Mclloren uh I just I'm just like obsessed with some of these guys. Um I
18:38don't know if I could get that far with Tooten. I am very very high bullish on Tutin. But there goes Dvonte Adams. I
18:44mean, I know you and I, John, we're both kind of a little sketchy on Adams this season just with the age touchdown
18:50aggression. Yes.
18:51>> Uh, but I would still take Adams over Tuton. I think that's where I'm at. If I needed a receiver for sure. Um, yeah, it
18:58is is Tuton's getting pushed up. And there goes Bucky Irving. So, it's uh Judkins, Toutton, ETN, Irving. John, we might need to double up on receiver here
19:08and just pray Saquan's our anchor. Yeah.
19:11>> Yeah. I mean, there is a running back that I like a lot more, I think, than everyone else, but you know, first pick
19:18around six, it might be a bit much, but then again, >> you got to push. If you feel that strongly about the player, let's go cuz
19:26we I mean, we're going to be it'll be even slimmer pickings, you know, when we come back for that that 78 turn.
19:31>> I mean, we're not going to take him here because it'll just look bad. [laughter] We'll take him with an But I mean, what
19:36do what are your thoughts on Chuba Hubert? I I think I would go Raandre if we're going to push anybody here. Chuba
19:43to me like >> I I think he's going to be their clear starter to start the season, but I think if John Brooks like looks good and they
19:50feel comfortable with where his health's at, I think he's a type of guy who his role is only going to grow. And
19:54obviously that's going to, you know, definitely hurt the the apex for Chuba.
19:58And then there's the Bryce Young factor.
20:00You know, Bryce Young scares the crap out of me. Like the guy >> their own line though is not bad. A lot
20:05of talent.
20:06>> Yeah. No, they're going to be Canales is a great coach, great run game coordinator as well. They're going to be
20:10able to run the ball. Uh but there's some there's some downside risk for sure.
20:14>> Well, we're on the clock here, by the way.
20:16>> I want to go I I kind of want to go Mandre, honestly. Uh >> what about uh receiver? Burden.
20:22>> Yeah, let's go Mandre here. Let's get our RB2. We need an RB2. Uh and then we'll decide receiver.
20:28>> Uh we got a minute here to decide this.
20:29So Burden, we could double tap Bears and maybe do a little stack action with Caleb. I don't know how you feel about
20:35that. Uh Mike Evans would be on probably the second target for me behind Burden and then DJ Moore. I think it's a nice
20:43little tier.
20:44>> Yeah, this isn't bad. Um DJ Moore or Rome Dun. I mean, Luther Burton's viable if we want to go sexy.
20:53>> Yeah, we've got we've got pretty good floor with Lamb and Flowers. I'm fine with shooting for some upside. Yeah, I
21:01think we're going to need to, you know, that Raandre pick, I almost went to sleep a second ago. So, [laughter] boring.
21:07>> It's so boring, but we needed an RV, too, John. We need We need >> Sometimes you just got to suck it up
21:11there and say, you know what? It's not sexy, but I got to do it.
21:15>> Yeah. Yeah. All right, let's go Burden.
21:17We'll go uh full Bears here.
21:19>> I mean, that's a small value on Burton.
21:23>> It's a It's pretty big at this point, John. He's sneaking into the early fourth round. He's like >> in best baseball drafts, you know, he's
21:30going like solidly early 40s. I think he might even get pushed into the third round, which is >> So, we got to take
21:36>> That's crazy to me. Yeah.
21:37>> Yeah. That's I'm I'm I'm a burden believer. I'm not out by any means, but I'm also not like the world's biggest
21:44burden bull. Like, I I still got to see it from Caleb Williams. For what it's worth, in our fantasy points uh rankings
21:50for best ball, we do have burden behind ADP, which is 42. We've got him in the low 50s just saying like, yeah, there's
21:58a lot of target competition here. Not entirely sure who leads this team in targets. It could be Lovelin, our guy here. It also could be Luther Burton. Uh
22:07John, we did a uh top 10 secrets show that Vegas is is telling us. And I did find it a little surprising that Burton
22:15actually he's leading Odun in the the markets by season long yardage props. So that's that's a forward that's a forward-looking projection there as
22:23well. Yeah. Yeah. No doubt. And by the way, not for nothing, but um just observing the board here, you know, we
22:30go Lamb, we come, we get Barkley, so we get the run, we get one in one, then when we come back, like
22:36I just we there was no other place for us to go. Like, you know, I mean, it was just it's too early to take anybody
22:44else. Like we we we had to take Lovelin and Flowers, but it just means that we're we're not going to have a great
22:51RB2, too. It's like sometimes you just suck it up, man.
22:54>> Yeah, we had to we had to go that way.
22:56There was no way I was taking Ky Williams over Flowers. Uh especially with Cororm kind of trending up.
23:02>> That's going to be a 6040 split all year and Cororm could honestly end up taking more and more as the season goes on.
23:09>> Uh yeah, we had to go this way. Uh the only one I maybe would have we maybe should have pushed up a little bit of
23:14Scataboo if he's fully healthy. I do think he ends up kind of in that pocket in the end of the third round. That's
23:19what I was going to say. Like I feel like Scataboo with the first pick of round three is that's a little early.
23:26>> Yeah. But like we were talking about we've you know when you get on the you know the corner pick you sometimes and
23:33oftentimes you've got to get aggressive you know especially structurally with with the team. But I I I would take Flowers over Scaboo straight up 100% 10
23:41times out of 10. Uh John we're going to get Caleb Williams here for sure. I think unless Brenley takes him and wants
23:48to stack with Odun. Uh the guys from 18 to 11 all have quarterbacks, all studs.
23:56So >> So are you of the mindset that we've already taken two Bears, so now we're locked in Caleb?
24:01>> I Yeah, shoot for the upside. I think that that should be your first your first thought cuz it's like >> we're playing fake football. Thank God
24:09cuz if we were playing real then I wouldn't like Kayla, but this is fake football.
24:13>> Exactly. And it's like we've we've already got two of our biggest investments in, you know, in this Bears offense. We need Caleb to be freaking
24:20awesome. If he's not, this team's probably going to stink anyway. Uh, you know, Lamb and Barkley are great, but I don't know. I don't know if they can
24:27carry carry us here with some of these teams looking great.
24:31>> The thing about quarterback with this team, like, okay, I don't like I'm not in on Caleb, but we could also probably
24:37get another quarterback.
24:38>> Oh, yeah.
24:39>> I mean, we could get Kyler.
24:41>> Quarterback is incredibly deep this year. It's so so deep. But when I have these types of teams even in season
24:47long, yeah, I I want to kind of it's like a force multiplier. If you're just We've already got Bird and Lo in
24:53Loveland. If we're right on the Bears taking another step forward and Caleb Williams taking another step forward, then yeah, you're probably going to just
25:00want the quarterback on that team. Uh but we are by no means uh by no means uh beholden to Williams just because
25:09quarterback is so deep this season. Um, we are going to have to probably plan out another running back here, Trey.
25:16>> Yeah, I mean, >> Chuba, how did Brilin Allen get in there from an old draft maybe there, Trey?
25:23>> Uh, Chuba. Uh, Kenny Gainwell's definitely got a floor. If you wouldn't mind popping over to the Yeah, thank you. Appreciate that. Uh, I'm in on Tony
25:31Tony Pard this year as like a floor play.
25:33>> I know. I I >> Jaylen Warren as well. I think it'd be a little too early for Harvey. This is the
25:38thing with Sleeper ADP. early in the year. There is there's some interesting I'll put it at that. I think there's some lag in this ADP. Malik Neighbors
25:46goes way too early on Sleeper. RJ Harvey is another guy going way too early. He should be in like the 80s or 90s and I
25:52would have him behind all of these guys we have in our queue.
25:56>> Do you look at uh JK Dobbins or does JK stand for just kidding?
26:00>> I think it's just kidding this year. I think I'm I'm just out. I'm just out.
26:03Too many lower body injuries. Uh Jonah Coleman has Bellcal upside. R.J. Harvey, very, very good receiver. Uh, yeah, there goes BTJ. Man, Brett is just
26:13crushing this draft. Gets he gets the uh the bounceback candidate in BTJ. I love that. Um, >> he's got his running back room is
26:21looking pretty tight. I mean, he's got no weaknesses really.
26:24>> Absolutely not. And he was just saying on our show yesterday that Harold Fannon is like the toughest tackle in the NFL
26:30right now. I mean, he's got that's a that's a team of dogs right there for real. Uh, >> one of the best showings I've ever seen
26:36by a tight end in his first NFL game with Flaco.
26:41>> Without a doubt. I mean, he immediately came out and showed us who he is. And he is uh I think clearly going to be the
26:48number one target on that team. Uh they've got they've got a really sneaky good pass catching group there with the Browns. John,
26:54>> tell you what though, team two here.
26:56>> Yeah, that's what I was saying. I didn't love that Warren pick, but in terms of just accumulating talent, Bejian Robinson, Jeremiah Love, AJ Brown, Malik
27:06Neighbors, >> Malik Neighbors at the 411, >> Drake May, and Marvin Harrison.
27:12>> That's a lot of talent.
27:13>> That's Malik Neighbors at 411. That is very, very nice. Ryan and I were talking about Neighbors going into the fourth
27:20round this this season, and I think that's where I'm in. like you just shoot for the upside with so many of these
27:25fourth round picks are going to bust this year, but Malik Neighbors has proven he's a top six wide receiver when healthy. Obviously, the knee injury is a
27:33massive massive concern, especially given that it seems like he's kind of been slow playing, I would say, or maybe even had a setback that we might not
27:41know about with this injury. But 411, absolutely swing for the fences, get neighbors. Marvin Harrison, I like is a bounceback candidate for sure this year.
27:49John, I think we just missed on him having like garbage time renaissance with Jacobe Brassette last year because he got hurt and then he had appendicitis
27:57and it just yeah never really fully clicked. Uh >> big year for Marvin Harrison and man this is a big one.
28:03>> Are you in?
28:05>> Yeah, I didn't put him on my initial list but I've been really looking at it hardcore. you know, I maybe I'm waiting
28:11on this bet situation to, you know, kind of settle down, but I I'm been leaning in um just just as a general statement
28:21when when you have a guy like look, two years ago people were taking him at like 14 overall. Obviously, it didn't go
28:28well, but there's a reason they were taking him at 14 overall. And now when you can get him in around six or seven,
28:36that's pretty good.
28:37>> Yeah, this is the best price it's ever been. You make a good point about Brassette. That is the major concern if
28:42we get Carson Beck starts by the middle of the year. That might be scary hours for these Cardinals offense, man. We
28:48might be projecting this uh this Cardinals passing attack for like 180 yards, which would not be fun. Not be fun at all for McBride or uh really any
28:55of these guys. I think Wilson, Michael Wilson would be the biggest loser.
28:58There's just no way that uh that third, you know, that they can, you know, have three receivers there.
29:04>> Kendrick Bourne is good, though. I'm always been a Kendrick Bourne guy. He does know the offense probably better than everybody else.
29:11Yeah. Yeah. I mean, they've got an unbelievable group of of talent there.
29:15There's no doubt about it. It's just, you know, between [sighs] play caller, John, we brought up Nate Hackett on the last show we just did on the stream
29:23there. Uh we went through S tier through the C tier of second round picks and uh Jeremiah Love landed in the C tier. And
29:31it's not not because he's a C-tier talent by any means. It's just a C-tier situation at least to start this year
29:36between the quarterback and the play caller. All right. Um I do think >> Yeah, we're coming up here. If we don't
29:44get Caleb, I'm going to push hard for Justin Herbert. I think he's my favorite kind of like after May, after Herz goes,
29:52he is clearly to me like the QB7 on the board. I think he's just got huge upside uh in terms of his efficiency this year.
29:59big efficiency boost coming with Mike McDaniel calling plays and getting his his guys back Slater and Alt. Uh Ryan Heath made a great point on a show
30:06earlier this week that like, you know, they just couldn't do the downfield stuff because they didn't have tackles last year and he's just right.
30:12>> Uh so getting Herbert back is is h uh getting Herbert back here as a backup plan and we're going to get Caleb
30:18Williams for sure. Now >> I mean I would almost be willing to play a little chicken with Caleb but um >> that's just me and like not not make it
30:26a point to get him here. Um, but then that said, like the options stink.
30:31>> Yeah, that's what I was about to say. If you feel Trey, if you don't mind popping over to the running backs, um, if you
30:36feel super strongly about any of these guys, like Gainwell to me is like a ninth round pick.
30:40>> I don't.
30:41>> That would be aggressive.
30:42>> I don't. We got pinched.
30:44>> I like Jadarian Price. Shoot for >> No, that's not bad.
30:48>> Let's shoot for some upside with Price.
30:50>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I like that.
30:51>> Unless he goes in these next two picks.
30:53>> I I I would have taken Hubard, though. I would have banged the table on Hubard.
30:57>> Yeah, he just went at it 78. That was a great pick there by Jay. Um I I would have been with you for sure. He's he's
31:03an awesome pick at the back end of the seventh round.
31:05>> Yeah, I'm I'm kind of feeling it. I mean, I know he's Mr. Every other year, Mr. Even, but those are all related to
31:12injuries.
31:13>> Nice. Yeah, we our guy Ricky Pearaw.
31:16John, I was tell texting you a couple days ago. I was talking with Chris after our conversation about Piersaw and we
31:21got him up in the projections after some of the points you made. He's got legitimate upside to be, you know, not
31:26the team's top target. I think that'll be McCaffrey or KD if either of those guys stay healthy. Uh I kind of like
31:32Piol here along with Price. I think that's where my head.
31:35>> Absolutely.
31:35>> And you want to push quarterback?
31:37>> Yes.
31:38>> All right, let's push quarterback cuz this I think that's the way this room has gone for us and especially since uh
31:44everybody in front of us has a quarterback already, we can just wait.
31:47That's an awesome start right there.
31:48Love that. Yeah, we helped ourselves out by adding a little youth and some upside, some juice there with Price to offset the boring pick of Raandre. And
31:57uh yeah, Ricky is our four.
32:00>> Yeah. Yeah. Not bad. Not bad.
32:03>> Then go and look at the numbers for Ricky in his career when he gets six or more targets. You might be blown away
32:10cuz he's gotten 10 plus fantasy points every time and he's averaged over 16 fantasy points in games in which he had
32:20six or more targets in a career.
32:22>> He has flashed huge upside when healthy.
32:25Uh he is really flashed. It's just we've got to get a full season out of him.
32:29Obviously the rookie season you kind of just have to throw away because of the offfield getting shot, you know, literally getting shot. He's he's also
32:36the the anti- Brandon Aayuk. Like I mean Kyle Shannon is a tough dude, >> you know. I've talked with him multiple
32:43times. Like he he kind of talks tough uh because it's just that's how he is, you know? And I always said that I felt like
32:51Shanahan loved Pieraw because he saw himself in Pearl like because Shanahan is a frustrated wide receiver himself. I I you know he's he's a complete opposite
33:01of Brandon Iayuk. He's not a diva. He's an old old soul guy, technician, all that. It's just can he stay healthy? I
33:10mean, his upside is sick. I think actually if he could play all if he could play 15 games, forget about it.
33:17He's going to be a top 20 receiver.
33:19>> Yeah, we live in this world now where there's just very few quarterbacks that are averaging like 230, 240, 250 yards
33:26per game. And, you know, Perie is going to do that in his sleep. So just getting, you know, even a 20 to 25%
33:32slice of that pie. Uh all of the things that he's going to be asked to do in this offense either in or out breaking
33:39routes, John, he had a 99th percentile score on outbreaking routes last year.
33:4493rd percentile separation score on inbreaking routes. The guy, I mean, he's a separatist, John. He really is. And at this point, like for me with Pearl, I
33:54think you just kind of convinced me like it really is just if he stays healthy, he's going to blow out this ADP. I think
33:59>> I have seen flashes, you know, like I watch the games and I, you know, every once in a while there's a like one or
34:07two plays, maybe they don't even happen, but you're like, I see something here.
34:11And there were moments last year where I'm like, oh my god. between the anticipation and accuracy of Perie.
34:20>> Yep.
34:21>> The acumen of Kyle Shanahan to, you know, call great plays and and routes that that on their own gain separation
34:30>> coupled with Ricky's ability inside outside versatility, you know, great hands, absolutely great route running.
34:38Like there's a there's a chance that those two could be like almost indefensible. I mean, it's a big ask, but I think that that connection there
34:46could be special.
34:48>> The question with this team is like if we get Evans and Piol and KD and McAffrey all on the field, but I mean,
34:54this is like I I I hate being the injury-prone guy, but it really is like all of these guys have struggled with
35:00injuries throughout their career. KD obviously coming back from a popped Achilles, >> he's, you know, been a little bit of an
35:06iron man actually. Like he's played through a ton of injuries. really KD's played through a ton, but this is the first truly major injury he's had in
35:14quite some time.
35:16>> But here's the difference real quick.
35:18>> Those three guys are aging players whose body might be breaking down. Persaw is a young player who might turn a corner in
35:30terms of managing injuries, playing through injuries. Again, a big ask, but I've talked to a number of wide receivers who have told me that it took
35:38them a couple of years to learn how to play hurt. You know, like if you're injured, you're out. If you're hurt, you
35:43can play. And maybe Pier has taken a little, you know, he's just not yet crossed that line. And and maybe he
35:50makes some improvements there which add a few games to his availability.
35:54>> Yeah. And let's not forget, John, Mike Evans is going to be 33 this year. He turns 33 in August. He's had
36:00>> with hamstring problems going back six years.
36:02>> Exactly. He has a yearly hamstring pull.
36:04And there's been no bigger fan of Mike Evans at Fantasy Points than me. Like I I I've loved Mike Evans in fantasy. I
36:11just love him as a player. This is the first year where I've kind of been like, man, I I kind of think I have to be out
36:15in the fourth round. I think I'd just rather I think I'd rather wait and take KD at an injury discount. I you've
36:21convinced me on Persaw being a great like eighth, ninth, 10th round pick. Um it's I love Evans. He's got the touchdown upside. I know the weekly
36:29upside will be there, but between the age, the hammy issues, man, it it's tricky. It It's tough.
36:36>> Substation.
36:38>> Yeah, that substation is no joke. It's humongous. It is humongous. You don't realize how big it is until you go
36:44there. Uh I went up >> It's in the air, man. It's in the air.
36:47>> I went up to Santa Clara 3, four years ago, right when that uh stadium opened.
36:52And it's it's legit. It's huge.
36:54>> Oh, you've been there?
36:55>> Yeah. Yeah. Oh my god, John. Beautiful stadium. This actually at the last game of Candlestick.
37:00>> Oh, no kidding.
37:02>> That was a playoff game against Green Bay when Colin Kaepernick ran for like 200 yards.
37:07>> Oh yeah. Yeah, >> I was at that game.
37:09>> Now I Now I think it's a big park when I drove past it when I was up there.
37:13>> It was It was an absolute dump candlestick.
37:17>> Yeah. Just a lot of history. Just the history there. Just the with Montana and Rice. It's it's it was a historical
37:22park. Yeah.
37:23>> Only upgrade. Only time I've ever had any question about my personal safety was at Candlestick Park, if you can believe that. [laughter] I found the
37:34fans >> I I found the fans to be a-holes. I couldn't believe it.
37:38>> Yeah. Yeah. It's uh Yeah, they they they're intense. I I got to say, and I'm not trying to piss off any NerS fans,
37:45but like your stadium's not in San Francisco. I don't They called it San Francisco last night watching the US men's team. They they still call it It's
37:53not San Francisco. It's Santa Clara.
37:54It's a whole different county. Literally the other side of the bay. You can't be calling it San Francisco. It's unbelievable. Um, but I I digress. Uh, I
38:03I do think, man, if this this Niners team, everybody stays healthy for like even 10 12 games during the regular season. Per Party might be Pertie might
38:10honestly just be the pick. Like, he's going to have a six, seven% touchdown rate. All right, John. Do >> you know what pace he was, Real quick,
38:16what final thought on Pertie? Yeah, I don't know if you know this, but I mean, you know, do you know what pace he was
38:22on for touchdowns last year in 17game pace?
38:25>> I'll guess 36.
38:27>> 43.
38:28>> Wow.
38:30>> 43.
38:31That he was on pace for 37.5 passing touchdowns and 5.6 rushing touchdowns.
38:37>> Wow. Yeah, I was going just passing touchdowns, but damn. Yeah. I mean, the guy he's had a 7% touchdown rate in
38:44three out of four years. I mean, it's just >> Yep. [snorts] He just prints efficiency and yeah, there's a few plays where he
38:50maybe, you know, makes a boneheaded decision, maybe a few too many turnover worthy throws, but he more than makes up for it with a lot of good play. Uh,
38:57speaking of quarterbacks, John, I think we're going to get we're going to get Caleb here. Unless Unless Brenley wants to go with the Odun stack here at the
39:0417. Uh, we got to dodge this one pick.
39:07I'm teeing this up. I'll be more than happy.
39:09>> He's going to fall because he kind of stinks.
39:11>> Yep. There we go. [sighs] Yeah, that's the thing, John. We have to separate reality from fantasy with Caleb Williams in particular because
39:19>> yeah, you watch him play and it can be just an absolute slog. Um, usually that Ben Johnson was very good at teeing him
39:28up on opening drives and kind of having, you know, those first 15 plays scripted.
39:33>> Um, but yeah, I mean there was some slog in Caleb Williams tape, but he's got the rushing, he avoids sacks, he can he's
39:41got the scrambling ability, >> escapability. He's like Houdini out there. Yeah. Yeah.
39:44>> Like he's got >> some of the best escapability that you'll find >> uh and and ability to extend the plays
39:52and all that. So you you couple all this with with and I will say I never interviewed Caleb, but I was around him
40:00multiple moments where I observed and he was on his best behavior. He was very gregarious and charismatic at his combine. He was walking around. But the
40:10guy I saw talking to the media last year, that was a different cat. So, I I think he's been coached pretty hard by
40:17Ben Johnson and he's taken it. I'm not saying I'm going to be in on Caleb Williams and all that, but I can
40:23certainly justify picking him right here considering we're in on two Bears receivers. And based on what I just said, >> this is one of the best prices you're
40:31going to see Caleb Williams go all off season. We've got to go here. Uh go Caleb first. Um, John, I feel really
40:38good about our receivers. I feel like we could take one more running back.
40:42>> Yeah. Well, >> the problem is just this board. We We need a usable player.
40:47>> Um, >> well, that doesn't exist.
40:50>> That does not exist here.
40:51>> I mean, we might we might just >> I mean, D just suck it up and uh >> Oh, Cororum. Let's go Cororum.
40:57>> Blake Cororm. That's what I was I was going.
40:59>> Oh, yeah. Yeah. There we go. We'll take Cororm. All right. So, we'll go Cororum.
41:02Caleb Williams.
41:03>> Cororum's usable. got to the he got to the point, Graham, last year where you could use him as a flex.
41:08>> Yeah. Yeah. He was a low-end flex for a lot of weeks at the end of last year and then obviously I mean John, he's got RB1
41:13upside if anything were to happen to Kairen Williams. All right. I was sitting at the top of the show. I was
41:17kind of sweating this one. The 112. It's a tricky spot to pick from. We started great. CD Lamb and Saquon Barkley. I
41:24really liked our Flowers pick there in the third round. This is about as honestly, John, as good as I think it
41:28could have come out here at the 112. I really like this team.
41:31>> Hey, two brains are better than one, baby. That's absolutely true. We're riding the bear stack to the moon. Uh let's recap a couple drafts here before
41:40we get out of here. Trey, um looking at this Hitman team. Little weak at RB2, but those receivers are pretty sweet.
41:49Jefferson, Wadd, Devonte Smith, get Jaden Daniels. This is it. I'm telling you, man. After the 1718, this pocket back here is it can be a little tricky
42:00to draft from.
42:01>> I like Dowel this year.
42:03I mean, he's got to be their their main guy.
42:07>> He will be. Uh Tom made a great point.
42:09Brley made a good point that, you know, all of the Ken Gainwell role is should be going to Jaylen Warren this year. But
42:15totally doubt, you're right. He's he's going to be a huge factor. He gets to link back up with Mike McCarthy, his old
42:21guy, >> uh from 24 when he had that breakout season.
42:24>> 100%. And McCarthy is from Pittsburgh.
42:27He runs the ball and like Jaylen Warren's had one 100yard rushing game in his in the last four years. D's >> oh my god
42:34>> D's done that like in his sleep.
42:37>> That's a crazy stat. I would not have expected that cuz he's he Warren's got that explosiveness but yeah D does that
42:43like five or six times a year at this point.
42:45>> Yeah, exactly. So >> yeah. Geez.
42:47>> I mean just confirm that real quick but I'm 99% sure.
42:51>> Yeah, you you're probably right. I mean Warren's always been in a split back field. Um, our guy Jay Wood, Tiger 3
42:57I33. Let's see what he's got cooking here. Uh, >> no, I'm sorry. It's it's it's it's uh it's actually four times, but D did it
43:06like in one year four times.
43:08>> Yeah, exactly. Yeah. Yeah. Um, that's a nice little team if you got Bucky Irving to pop there. London, DJ Moore, Chuba. Okay, Chuba. All right.
43:20>> I like Chuba this year, man.
43:22Yeah, just you're just betting against Brooks then, right?
43:26>> You know, I'm I'm betting that even if Brooks is a decent factor, you know, with like 12 13 touches a game, I still
43:35think Chuba can deliver a nice ROI.
43:39And if Brooks does have another injury setback, yet another, then I think Chuba, based on where you get him, could be like a league winning asset.
43:51>> Yeah. I mean, to me, I I know this backfield's going to produce. I'm just so scared of Bryce Young, man. He's just
43:57not taking any big steps forward. Like, we really need him to take even like a 10 to 12% step forward this year for
44:05this offense to really smash. But I'm with you. The the offensive line's good.
44:08The, you know, Canales is an awesome play caller.
44:11>> Yeah, he's good.
44:11>> Um, really really good. Canales. The one thing I I got out of that talking with Rashad White about Canales was
44:20really really good at putting the his players in the best position to succeed.
44:25It's like let's let's not try to reinvent the wheel here. Let's let's use some common sense. And he's he's really good in that regard.
44:33>> Yes, rational coaching. Uh we're always a big fan of rational coaching here and and Canal is very much that. John, I got
44:40to just credit you. Amazing call on pushing Caleb Williams. I'm so glad we did that and took Pier Saul and Price.
44:44That was absolutely the right call. That was a little little ballsy, not going to lie. Uh Caleb Williams has been QB8
44:50consistently in ADP. We got a little bit of a gift. Uh this room being a little soft on him, but worked out well for us,
44:57that's for sure.
44:58>> Yeah. I mean, and and look, at the worst case scenario, we Is it Kyler Murray still available?
45:03>> Yeah, Brock. No, Brock Party. We would have gone party all day.
45:05>> We would have taken Pery all day. Yeah.
45:07>> And and maybe even Kyler, too.
45:09>> I would have taken Dart ahead of Kyler.
45:11I would have taken Mahomes. I think I would have taken Stafford. Uh but then yeah, probably Kyler fifth best. Man, I
45:17do like >> I'm not feeling it with Dart, man. I I'm just I'm not seeing it.
45:21>> What's your real quick? What's your rationale on that?
45:25>> Well, the neighbors thing.
45:26>> Neighbors and Nai.
45:27>> A [laughter] ngi. Yeah, a ngi. Uh I I do like the O line. Um but I mean way too much reliability on on running. like I
45:38got to see him sit there in the pocket and metriculate the ball via the forward pass a little bit more to I mean granted
45:44he's not very expensive but yeah >> my my early takeaway in the Giants is I feel like guys you're you're you're
45:53desperate now and you're going to get a retread and a bunch who you're going to get a retread who's brought in multiple
46:00other retreads.
46:02I just I I I just I just think that they made a deal with the devil to win those two Super Bowls and they're paying the
46:08pennants now. I think I don't know.
46:10>> Eli Manning was playing with some uh some black voodoo magic for sure.
46:13>> I mean, John Harbaugh seems like the greatest guy ever, but like what does he what is he what does he do? Like
46:20>> great defensive coach. Um he's struggled in my opinion with game management. Uh really really struggled. That'll be something to watch for for the Giants
46:28this year is just his game management has has been kind of bad. um at times.
46:33And then yeah, the play calling. It's like we've got Matt Nai with a Greg Roman backup. Like that's that's scary. That's scary to me. And
46:40there goes Jackson Dart to Brett Whitefield. That was Jackson [laughter] Brett.
46:44>> F you to me.
46:46>> No, that's a great pick though there at 1012 for sure. I mean, he needed a quarterback. Dart's got the rushing
46:52upside. Uh John, I really really liked this team. I think this this worked out really well. I'll be honest though, Brett won this draft. That team is an
46:59absolute hammer. Gibbs Bree. He's got two really great receiver breakouts I think in Olav and Watson. Both guys have like 1,200 yard upside. Then look at his
47:08bench. He's got BTJ Courtland Sutton and Josh DS for his third, fourth, and fifth receiver. Awesome team by Brett. Uh I
47:16think in my opinion, he gets the S tier A++ draft. But I I got to be honest, this is one of the best 112 teams I've
47:23seen this year. So I'm I'm pretty pumped about this one. I will say this, I've noticed uh over a number of years, there
47:30have been a number of years recently where um right around this time, maybe June, um certainly before training camp where I look at, okay, because I get the
47:40question all the time, what's the best spot like early, mid, like there have been a multiple years recently where it looks like, oh man, early is is where
47:50it's at, but then training camps open, preseason games start, It's go time in late August and all of a sudden, yeah, picking at one is twice as
48:01hard as it was two months ago. Yet, you know, picking at 12 is is a little easier. So, for us to be where we are
48:08now in very early July to come through with a team we like at 12, I think that that's that bodess well. But enjoy the
48:14team now, Brent, because it's not going to be as easy drafting from the 01 in about seven weeks.
48:20>> It won't be. Yeah. There's going to be a major value shakeups and we're going to be here for you along that way. John,
48:27great job strategy-wise, especially with the Caleb Williams just pushing quarterback in this one. We are drafting from the 112. We got a nice little team
48:34here. John and I are going to be back doing a bunch of these mock drafts throughout the rest of the season. So,
