Alvin Kamara

PositiveValue22:55

Available in 76% of leagues (24% rostered) but rated D or F tier by the source; despite returning from injury next week or week after, his value is questionable due to committee backfield with Kendry Miller and Travis Etienne. Split carries (nine each with Miller) and potential pass-catching role loss if Etienne remains healthy limit upside. The source notes his value is more a reflection of Travis Etienne being a bad draft pick than Kamara being a strong roster target. If Etienne goes down, Kamara would be part of another 'gross committee' with potentially diminished value; described as 'washed,' suggesting the source views him as past his prime and not a reliable fantasy option even in an injury scenario.

Insight page

Antonio Williams

PositiveSleeper39:53

Available in 98% of leagues; high-upside waiver target with elite efficiency and versatile skill set. Plays with exceptional physicality and attitude (5'11", 195 lbs, described as "hair on fire, insanely physical, 100 miles an hour on every play"); excels as route runner with strong zone-beating ability and elite ball-winning potential with strong hands and body control. At 5.82 yards per route run, only Z Flowers averaged more among wide receivers. However, 26% route share limits short-term production behind Stefon Diggs and Terry McLuren, making him C-tier stash for deep leagues with upside potential later in season. Source notes he's "a perfect compliment to Scary Terry and Stefon Diggs" and has been moved all over formation (X, slot, flanker), positive sign for future usage.

Insight page

Bryce Young

PositiveBust12:22

D-tier waiver target despite 361-yard performance against weak Bears defense; boom-bust archetype with QB1 finishes in only 6 of his last 22 games (compared to Brassette's 11 of 12). When he does finish top-5, results are elite (finishes of 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th), but inconsistency and height limitations make him unreliable week-to-week. Strong Week 1 performance likely reflects Bears defense weakness rather than sustainable improvement.

Insight page

Caleb Douglas

NegativeValue35:46

Owned in just 12% of leagues and available on waivers; mixed tier assessment. Led Dolphins receivers in production with five catches and seven targets for 94 yards in debut—most receiving yards in a debut since Puka Nacua despite Malik Willis's poor performance at QB, showing encouraging rookie upside. However, ranked C-tier on waiver wire due to concerns about holding pre-draft bias after Douglas posted 92 yards in Week 1; source expresses concern about heavy exposure to Malik Willis wide receivers and notes he's a last-spot-on-bench type player.

Insight page

Chris Bell

PositiveValue36:32

Owned in just 9% of leagues and available on waivers; despite 51% route share and 7.4% target share, showed round one caliber tape; Dolphins got major discount on him due to initial injury timeline, providing long-term upside potential relative to other Dolphins receivers. However, ranked D-tier on waiver wire due to cautious post-ACL deployment; played third most snaps among wide receivers in Week 1, barely ahead of Kevin Coleman Jr., indicating limited snap share as he eases into offense.

Insight page

Christian Watson

NegativeDepth Chart33:00

Context for Matthew Golden's elevated role in Packers offense; when Packers went 13 personnel or heavy personnel in Week 2, Golden stayed on the field instead of Watson, suggesting a shift in the wide receiver hierarchy.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

NegativeBust1:14

Loveland was an absolute dud in Week 1, but the source advises against dropping him. The strategy is to avoid overreacting to single-week performance; Week 1 is frequently misleading, and pre-season rankings and projections should hold more weight than early-season results until approximately Week 6-8.

Insight page

Deebo Samuel

NegativeProjection45:02

Available in over half of leagues (48% owned); 41% snap share in Week 1; 6 catches on 7 targets for 48 yards and 1 TD plus 1 carry for 12 rushing yards. Dejon Stribbling out 1-2 months or rest of season opens opportunity, but source questions whether 2023-24 version of Debo is back or if he's washed. Film expert notes he looks leaner but lacks same explosiveness and tackle-breaking upside as prior years; ranked D-tier due to uncertainty and competition from Evans, KD, and CMC for touches.

Insight page

Demario Douglas

PositiveSleeper46:48

Available in 99% of leagues; Week 1 standout with team-high 7 targets and 79% route share. AJ Brown out 6 weeks with high ankle sprain; Romeo Doubs performed poorly in Week 1; Kahan Booty traded away and Kyle Williams not yet in fold. Source's Texans beat contact reports Douglas gets ton of balls and is better than Doubs; described as one of sneakiest waiver adds not widely discussed; source is high on Douglas as de facto WR1 with AJ Brown sidelined.

Insight page

Devin Singletary

PositiveRole25:38

Rated F-tier by the source; limited scatback role with no expansion potential even if Cam Scataboo were injured—carries would go to Naji Harris or Tyrone Tracy instead. Received 0% target share in recent game despite Scataboo's historical 15.1% target share over his last five full games, indicating Scataboo is the preferred pass-catcher. The scatback role itself is deemed not valuable for fantasy purposes.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

PositiveBreakout28:41

Available in 39% of leagues (rostered in 61%); rated S-tier and identified as the #1 waiver wire add of the week. Had a career game against Chicago and is emerging as a legitimate number two receiver for Carolina. Led all wide receivers in fantasy points in Week 2; over his last eight games averaged 16 fantasy points per game with 2.3 yards per route run and top-10 EPA per target since the start of last season. Ran 35 routes from out wide in Week 2, a positive sign given Bryce Young's preference for outside receivers over slot players in the Panthers offense. Some production was game-script dependent and defense-specific, but over the last six weeks of the season he out-targeted and out-produced T McMillan, suggesting a real role shift.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

PositiveSleeper20:58

Handcuff with bellcow potential available in 67% of leagues despite preseason hype; the source views him as a top talent with underrated analytics profile and potential to win on talent alone. Favorable context includes Sean Payton's history of spoiling clear backfields (JK Dobbins, RJ Harvey), top-three offensive line, top-three game script, top-three starting field position, and red zone drives. Rated A-tier or B-tier depending on league depth.

Insight page

Kaelon Black

PositiveValue15:00

S-tier waiver wire target in Week 2; elite handcuff to Christian McCaffrey with standalone value potential. Week 1 usage was exceptional: 14 carries (team-high, more than CMC), 44% snap share, and 31% route share. Clear RB2 to one of the most injury-prone running backs in the league. Recommended target for those with 4th-6th waiver priority if needy at RB, or can be targeted with 1st-3rd priority.

Insight page

Kendre Miller

NegativeUsage22:55

Split carries evenly with Travis Etienne (nine carries each) in week 1 and secured red zone touches and a touchdown, signaling the Saints may not be satisfied with Etienne as the lead back. This committee approach limits individual upside but indicates potential role expansion if Etienne falters.

Insight page

Keon Coleman

NegativeProjection1:48

Keon Coleman had a top-three fantasy week in Week 1, which led some managers to attempt trades for him. The source uses this as an example of how Week 1 performance can be misleading and should not drive major roster decisions.

Insight page

Malik Washington

PositiveValue37:32

Owned in just 14% of leagues and available on waivers; team-high 97% route share and 30% target share; 16.0 average depth of target (not slot-only role); 115 catches in final college year; A tier in FFPC, C tier in home leagues. Playing primary interior slot role with vertical attacking usage; elite zone coverage recognition and feel for finding space between linebackers and safeties. Source identifies Washington as ideal role player among trio of receivers, praising his uncovering and route-running at high level against zone; notes he has taken step forward with route running and overall football IQ.

Insight page

Malik Willis

PositiveProjection6:42

Available in 60% of leagues and owned in only 40% despite QB Exodia status; Week 1 was disheartening with only 15 completions, 39 rushing yards, and five sacks, but the source identifies an easy fix: he needs way more designed runs (only one in Week 1 versus five scrambles). Historical precedent: Justin Fields averaged 12 fantasy points per game in his first four weeks, then averaged 25+ after coaches increased designed runs in Week 5 onward. Willis is a better athlete and passer than Fields was, so increased design run usage could unlock similar upside.

Insight page

Matthew Golden

PositiveValue32:28

Available in 24% of leagues (owned in 76%); rated S-tier. Led Packers in routes run with 87% route share and 30% target share; had 95 receiving yards against a tough defense. When Packers went 13 personnel or heavy personnel, Golden stayed on the field instead of Christian Watson, signaling a shift away from the wide receiver rotation. Packers went more pass-heavy without Josh Jacobs. Preferred over Jaylen Coker due to consistency of Green Bay offense week-to-week versus Carolina Panthers.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

NegativeBust22:55

Rated as a bad draft pick by the source; split carries with Kendry Miller (nine each) in week 1, signaling the Saints are not satisfied with him as the lead back. The source and co-host both expressed disdain for Etienne as a draft pick in earlier offseason discussion. If he goes down, a committee backfield with Kamara and Miller would likely result, further limiting his value.

0:00Week two, waiverwire. We're going to break down the names, the strategy, and everything you need to know here on Fantasy Football Daily with Brett and
0:07Scott. [music] >> If you're a returning subscriber, you
0:18already know what makes us the best fantasy football channel on the planet.
0:21So, hit the like button. If you are new here, do not forget to subscribe, click the bell, turn notifications on. Don't
0:28miss a single video. Scott and I are helping you win your leagues every single day here on the Fantasy Points YouTube channel. Scott, week one
0:38actually officially in the books, minus Monday Night Football, but the bulk of the work has been done. How are you today, sir?
0:45>> I'm doing good. Happy to be here.
0:47Excited to talk football with you.
0:49>> Yeah, always excited to talk football.
0:51We got real live bullets flying now.
0:54It's It's a little easier to discuss than the the offseason show. So, this is exciting for me. Um, well, we're going
0:59to dive in. This is our first Waverw Wire episode of the season, really. I know we did like a little pre pre-show
1:06last week, but for those that uh maybe new to fantasy football, maybe like myself, for example, what kinds of players are you looking to drop? Like
1:14Coulson Lovelin was an absolute dud.
1:16Scott, are we dropping Coulson Lovel?
1:18Probably not, right? So, can you break that down for the audience? What's the strategy here overall?
1:24>> Yeah, so definitely don't overreact. We said this on yesterday's show. Uh typically from a week in week one, even week two, week three, you want to be
1:34underreacting. It's it's almost always a mistake to overreact. Uh you said it, you said week one is frequently a liar.
1:42Uh that was certainly the case last year. A lot of people dropped the Exodia quarterback Drake May after he had a bad
1:48game against the Raiders. That was a mistake. Or maybe they tried to trade for Keon Coleman who had a top three
1:54week. Listen, it's you have to be wary of small samples. Uh but it feels massive because you know it's 100% of
2:02our sample right now, but really at the end of the day, it's just one out of 17 games. And so, yeah, don't drop Coulson
2:10Lovelin. Don't drop AJ Brown. Don't even drop a Josh DS or Malik Willis. You really want to be anchored to our rest
2:19of season rankings. I think Adam Harststead had a great um article on this that said, you know, your your rankings projections coming into the
2:27season should still hold more weight than the current season until about like week six, week seven, week eight. So, um yeah,
2:38don't overreact and uh yeah, I don't don't drop your studs. Certainly not for, you know, it was really like not an
2:47amazing, you know, waiverwire week, honestly. Like I don't really know that there's anyone I want to burn a top three waiver claim on or I want to bid
2:56more than 20% in fab.
2:59>> That's good. That's one of the next questions I was going to ask you actually. So like how aggre we're going
3:02to get through the names. The names will be the names. We'll talk about them.
3:05We'll break them down. But how aggressive should it out?
3:09>> Yeah, we're going to tear it out. Yeah, we're going to give you confidence levels. But so right off the top though,
3:13you're saying no more than, you know, 20% fab. There's not a top three waiver claim guy available this week. You're you just want to be a little bit more
3:21patient and uh see what we get next week and the weeks after.
3:24>> Yeah, >> sounds good. All right, let's dive right in. Let's hit quarterbacks first.
3:31Um start with uh I guess a guy we kind of debated a little bit last night. He was the subject of our show last week at
3:38times. Tyler Shuck, who was a Joe Dolan start this week. Joe Dolan hits on that take. He's available in what, 40% of
3:46leagues. Is that what I'm seeing?
3:48>> He's available in 60% of leagues. He's rostered in 40% of leagues.
3:55>> What are your thoughts on Tyler Shock?
3:57>> Yeah, so I would put him in the A tier.
3:59Um because just looking at what he's done over his last seven games, he's hit at least 17 fantasy points in all of
4:07them. He averages 20.8 fantasy points per game over that span. I know he didn't look great yesterday, but you know, you know, at least up until the
4:17fourth quarter in garbage time, but he had over 400 passing yards and three touchdowns. And that's basically the Kell Moore scam. You know, it's um you
4:25know, not the world's best defense. It's you going to be the offense that leads the league in pace of play. So, there's
4:32a realistic chance they lead in drop backs. Tyler Shuck runs a little bit. He scores rushing touchdowns. Um, and yeah, when they're trailing, the they're
4:41content to just abandon the run. And so, you know, with the quarterback position, efficiency tend to matters more than volume. But, you know, volume's still
4:50important. And I think Tyler Shuck has that in spades. And and yeah, again, he he's been on a hot little run here.
4:57Seven straight games with at least 17 fantasy points and he scored 25.2 last week, last week.
5:06Uh yeah, for Shuck for me, it's like doesn't matter if he looked good or bad yesterday. He put up a ton of fantasy
5:10points for fantasy. That's all that matters. The fact that he he gets to play with the most pace aggressive coordinator in the league or play
5:17caller, I should say, not coordinator, most pace aggressive play caller in the league is huge for him. think he's going to have a high volume of plays every
5:24week. Even if the efficiency isn't great week to week, the volume should be there. This this offense is going to run
5:30an absolute ton of plays. They were number one in the league in pace last year. I think he was fourth or third in
5:35the league. His final year with the Eagles. He's always been top five. So, Tyler Shuck, uh, where are you tiering him out here?
5:43>> Yeah, again, I'd put him in the A tier.
5:46Um, particularly if you need a quarterback, if you drafted Kyler Murray, um, and he went down, you know, might not play week two or if you
5:57if you have Malik Willis and you're a little worried. I was wrong. The the the first time in a long time Exodia
6:03quarterback was a whiff. Should have been Jackson Dart. Um, yeah. So, I I think I think I would put Tyler Shuck
6:10pretty confidently in the A tier.
6:12>> I'm not willing to say Malik Willis is a whiff, by the way. No, of course not.
6:16Listen, we want to underreact Yeah.
6:18>> to week one.
6:19>> But even to your point, even like if you drafted uh Drake May, who could be off to a slower start with the schedule they
6:26have, he's got to go to Pittsburgh. He's got or they they host Pittsburgh, then they're on the road in Jacksonville, then they're on the road in Buffalo.
6:33These are good team. So like Drake could get off to a slow start. Tyler Shuck would be a nice quarterback to add just
6:38so you have options. Just so you have options. All right, Malik Willis.
6:42Speaking of Exodia, Malik Willis is is uh available in 60% of leagues. Only owned in 40 despite the uh QB Exodia
6:50status.
6:52>> Not Yeah. Not your favorite outing week one, but you still have him on the the waiverwire list here.
6:57>> Yeah. So, this is maybe a hot take. I I'd keep him in the A tier, especially for what it would cost to acquire him.
7:05It's possible you didn't draft him and now he's going to get dropped and you can you can pick him up very cheaply.
7:11Uh, make no mistake about it, this was an awful, really disheartening, discouraging week one. Only 15 completions, only 39 rushing yards. He
7:19took five sacks. He looked like the shitty shittiest version of Justin Fields. Um, the the the one bright side here is like
7:29I think it's an easy fix. It's just he needs way more design runs. He only had one >> in week one. Five of six were scrambles.
7:38This is a guy who should have at least five designed runs per game. And this is what really fixed Justin Fields in his
7:45Exodia season. First four weeks of the season, he he was averaging like 12 fantasy points per game. He looked awful. I took a lot of heat for that.
7:52And then week five on, that's when they went, "Okay, this isn't working. Listen, you're not you're not a Joe Burrow. You
8:00know, we need you running." So, they jacked up the design runs. And from that point on, he was averaging, you know, he
8:05was keeping pace with Josh Allen, averaging 25 plus fantasy points per game. And with a a freaky athlete like Malik Willis, I think a better runner
8:13than Justin Fields and like probably better passer, too. Um, they just need to jack that up.
8:20>> Yeah, I've >> I'm not exaggerating. I've already texted coaches on the staff asking about the design QB run thing. Just looking
8:28for an answer mostly and then hopefully can >> Well, can you break news? What? Did they leave you on red?
8:34>> As of right now, I'm I'm left on red.
8:36Yep. I have not.
8:37>> Well, we'll see. We'll we'll update you guys on >> Yeah. Yeah.
8:40>> The Wednesday show.
8:41>> Um I will say I like Malik Willis's self-awareness after the game. Saying all the right things. Uh the he said the
8:47five sacks are on me. Sacks are QB stat.
8:49I got to get the ball out quicker.
8:51>> I I love that about him. So, uh >> dude, he knows ball. Kurt Warner doesn't even know that sacks are a QB sack.
8:56>> That's right. Hall of Fame QB. Super Bowl winning QB Curt Warner doesn't know sacks are QB stat, but Malik Willis
9:04somehow does. So that's great. Jacobe Brassette, uh, he's available in 93% of leagues. And Scott, I got a hot take for
9:12you. I thought he looked really good.
9:15>> Yeah, >> I thought he actually looked really good. This dude is balling right now. He was balling last year in these garbage
9:21time, you know, game scripts. I just love the dude's willingness just to run the offense, force the ball downfield too when he needs to. It's just like
9:30it's just so it's so fantasy friendly.
9:33Even though he's not the most talented guy in the world, it's such a fantasy friendly skill set and and approach to
9:39the position. I Yeah, I like this. Break it down.
9:42>> Well, he's B tier.
9:44>> Yeah, sure.
9:44>> Because he exists. That's why Malik Willis is a tier. Why I still want to be um you know, chasing upside. But I I'm
9:52with you. I really like Jacobe Brassette. I think he's awesome. A big concern that Ryan Heath and I had was well the Cardinals were just the most
10:01pass heavy offense of the past half half decade by a mile. You know, it's hard to imagine Mike Laflur is going to be uh
10:11not a serious downgrade off of what Drew Pig did last year with the the pass heavy scam. Uh, but we dug into it and
10:18we were like, actually, this might be the perfect, you know, replacement for that. Uh, one of my all-time favorite stats was if you removed the
10:28Zack Wilson games when when Mike Lafleur was the OC there, uh, the Jets actually led the league in passing yards per game
10:35or passing yards per non-Zack Wilson start with like Mike White and they went super pass heavy, really high pace of
10:43play. And so Jacobe Brassette u you know QB15 finish but let's not forget what he did last year. He finished QB1 in 11 of
10:54his last 12 starts to close out the year. That's a crazy stat. No one else came close to that.
10:59>> Finished as a QB1 or the QB1. Just so I hear you right.
11:03>> Top 12 at the position in 11 of his last 12 starts. So crazy high floor from Jacobe Brassette. And then from a DFS
11:11perspective, yeah, this like I'm gonna be having Jacobe Brassette exposure every he finished second in completions last week and um you know from when he
11:21was named the starter on he I think he led all quarterbacks in completions by like 40. So yeah, you have this great
11:27stable of pass catchers, Trey McBride, Michael Wilson, Marvin Harrison Jr. I think in that order. Hot take. Um and uh and yeah, so you know good good weapons
11:38around him. a lot of negative game script. Uh coach who who with a high pace of play, likes to go pass heavy. U
11:46not a ton of upside, but uh certainly very high floor. So if you need a spot start, Btier Jacobe Brassette.
11:54>> He unfortunately has to play Seattle this week. But how did he do against Seattle last year? I didn't I didn't
11:59even bother to look it up. I probably should have.
12:01>> Um do you know >> I I assume everyone sucked against Seattle, >> right? Exa Exactly. I >> Yeah. Maybe he's a Ctier just because
12:09he's probably free next week.
12:12>> Yeah, exactly. Um for those and then even those picking him up this week probably dropping him after next week.
12:17So >> yeah, good call that.
12:19>> Last QB on the list, uh Bryce Young.
12:23He's available in 86% of leagues. This guy 200 passing yards just three times last year, yet dropped haymaker after haymaker on the Bears. basically was
12:34going blow forblow with the Bears until really the fourth quarter where it just got completely out of hand. But what do
12:39you have 370 yards or something? Like a ridiculous game for Bryce Young. Is it sustainable? I don't know. But where you
12:46at on him?
12:47>> I get a phone call from Theo Ginger just maybe an hour ago and this is one of his hot takes is he is heavy in on Bryce
12:56Young. When he does his FFPC waiverss this week, he's loading up on Bryce Young. argument was, you know, these these guys we write off at the
13:05quarterback position who are drafted high. Uh, you know, have this resurgence that takes us by surprise, whether it's Daniel Jones or it's Baker Mayfield or
13:15it's Sam Darnold and Bryce Young is next.
13:19You know, apologies to Theo. I I disagree. I'm going to put him in Dier. Uh, Bryce. So, he had 361 passing
13:26yards. Uh, for context, he had only three games over 206 passing yards all of last year. I really think this tells
13:34us more than anything that the Bears defense is awful. Um, but what's interesting about Bryce Young, particularly from a DFS perspective, is
13:42he is the def definition of a boom bust fantasy quarterback.
13:48I just told you Jacobe Brassette QB won 11 of his last 12 starts to close out last year.
13:55Bryce Young QB1 in only six of his last 22 games, but he finished top five in
14:04100% of those six games with finishes of first, second, second, third, fourth, and fifth. So, he's he's he's boomer bust. You know, he he either gives you
14:15nothing or he has an awesome game. Um, but yeah, I I'm I'm not willing to to buy into this. You can't fix height,
14:22right? Right, Brett? You can't you cannot fix height. Also, we can live there's going to naturally just be this tension of Bryce Young might not be a
14:30terrible quarterback, but he also might not be fantasy relevant or viable week over week. I think those two like he could be emerging as a guy who deserves
14:39his job, but while also not being fantasy relevant. That that's something that can be true. So, um I think we're I'm very comfortable living in that
14:46tension. I'm going to say uh Dtier on Bryce Young as well. Um running backs.
14:51Let's hit the running backs.
14:53Start with Kellan Black. I know it feels like 17 years ago since the 49ers played the Rams in Australia, but I think
15:00everyone was a little shocked at Kalon Black's workload. He I mean CMC just there wasn't the same, you know, bellcow share we've seen from CMC over the
15:10years. Was this a travel related thing?
15:12Was it the ankle or Achilles stiffness CMC had been going through in camp and it's just something that's going to be
15:18fleeting? Or are you buying in heavy on Kalon Black here?
15:22Well, what do you think? Where do you think I'm gonna put him?
15:26>> I think you're going to put him I think you're going to put him A tier.
15:31>> I think for this week he's he might be S. He's either S or A. And like let me be clear, I do not buy into the usage he
15:39got in week one, which was excellent. He had a team high 14 carries. That was more than Christian McAffrey. He had a
15:4544% snap share. Most surprisingly, 31% route share. That's very good. So, this appears to be at a bare minimum the clear RB2, the clear handcuff to
15:56>> that. That's it right there.
15:58>> One of the most injuryprone quarter uh running backs. Uh and he might have standalone value. Like if if this sticks
16:06and you're desperate for, you know, just, you know, guaranteed points from your RB2 because you have a bunch of guys on buy or they're hurt or you
16:14drafted Josh Jacobs. Uh there's there is utility in that. I kind of don't think that part's real. I think it was just
16:21CMC dealing with cramps. It was the fourth preseason week, not week one.
16:25They traveled all the way to Australia.
16:27He missed some practice time. CMC is like the uber Bellcow who just like he puts defense is in such a fit with his
16:35mere presence on the field that if the game's ever competitive, you don't ever want to take him off. Although, I buy
16:41that maybe the 49ers want a second running back more involved in the past.
16:46But you're talking about CMC with his, you know, league leading, you know, 85% snap share every week. Um, but regardless, it's still like that's super
16:55valuable that handcuff role, the contingent upside role. We've seen it before from Elijah Mitchell, from Jordan Mason, from Isaac Garendo. So, in a
17:04relatively weak week one waiver wire, I'm going to put Kayn Black in the S tier. Um, if you have like the fourth or
17:12fifth or sixth, you know, waiver wire priority, this is who you're probably chasing. If you're needy at at running back and you have the first, second, or
17:21third, you can you can target Kalin Black. I think that's fine. So, S tier for me on black.
17:28>> I like it. Um, moving on. Actually, let me ask you a question about this. In roster construction, how like are you
17:33willing to roster other backups to Bellcows that maybe didn't get a lot of action? Like let's talk about Sion Vaky.
17:41Bonus bonus answer here. Like are you willing to roster a guy like that in a in a standard 12 team league that has 14
17:48or 15 roster spots where it's like Jamir Gibbs got 34 carry or 34 touches. Sion Vaky though played 20 something snaps in
17:55that game.
17:57>> He didn't get a lot of touches but he played a lot and if Gibbs goes down he's the clear RB2. They made that very clear
18:02yesterday.
18:03>> Yeah. So this time of the year, I kind of don't want to be stockpiling handcuffs unless perhaps I I went very
18:10zero RB. Instead, I'd rather be like churning through, you know, guys who can immediately show me they're a thing. Um but then, yeah, week five, week six,
18:20that's when I want to hoard all the handcuffs. And like that's a big thing is there's like people think there's, you know, a major edge in handcuffs like
18:29oh, you know, Tank Bsby, Ray Davis.
18:32There's really not that much of a difference between them and a Seion Vaky where yeah, it's just that the starter goes down, they're going to be somewhere
18:41between a low-end RB1 to a mid-range RB2 just on raw volume. Um, and so and so yeah, like that's that's what I do like
18:50this time of the year, you know, I'm not going out to make sure I roster a seaky unless it's a very deep league.
18:57>> Cool. Keat Mitchell. Next up, another kind of handcuffy plus guy. He's he has a role in the offense for sure,
19:05>> but uh a very different change of pace kind of style to a bruising Amari and Hampton.
19:10>> I I mean, you know, my thoughts on Hampton, so I I'll just let you cook here on Katon Mitchell.
19:17>> Um yeah, so I I probably would have put him Ctier just based on the usage we saw, which was 31% snap share, only four
19:25of 16 carries. He did run one more route than Omar and Hampton, but I'm actually gonna put him B tier just because of how
19:34pessimistic you were on Omar and Hampton's fit in this offense where it's like, yeah, maybe Keith Mitchell has some like Devon Han light upside or
19:44Raheem Moert sort of upside where like there's a real there's real value to this RB2 and sure we didn't see it week
19:52one, but this could have been, you know, one of the worst games the Chargers have played all Um, and so yeah, it's it's there's some
20:00standalone value. I kind of don't buy into a ton of handcuff upside for him.
20:06He's just like a small guy who, you know, I think he's only played more than 15 snaps once in his career, something
20:12like that.
20:12>> Oh wow.
20:13>> Um, that's a Graham Barfield set. I have to double check what it actually is, but yeah, I just question that he could be
20:19like I think it's I think if Hampton you you know, screw it. We're putting him back in the C tier cuz I think if
20:25Hampton goes down, Bidal leads the league in touches. So, he's kind of always going to be this RB2 where the the upside is capped.
20:36>> That is that's a great call. I do think people get carried away sometimes with the the running back who's playing the
20:41second most snaps when the starter's healthy. I don't think if if Hampton went down it would just be Keat Mitchell all of a sudden. I do think Kamani
20:48Videll would be the main guy. Mitchell is the change of pace option. It's a just a different role in the offense,
20:54right? So, maybe he he'd get a small uptick, of course, but it's not uh it's not going to be a bellcout kind of
20:58thing. So, uh Jonah Coleman, he hasn't played yet. He plays tonight. We're recording this Monday after.
21:05>> Flying and blind, baby.
21:06>> Flying in blinds, but you know, I think we're both pretty high on him. And Shawn Payeyton has a history of totally
21:14spoiling backfields that seem clear, right, with JK Dobbins and RJ Harvey.
21:18Does Jonah Coleman now come in? He's still available in 67% of leagues despite the fact that he was getting a ton of preseason hype. Where are you at
21:27on Coleman?
21:28>> Yeah, I think he's got to be Btier.
21:30We're we're flying in blind. I I said all handcuffs are kind of the same. Um but in this instance, it's it's a guy
21:37who I think has a chance to win on talent alone. This was one of my favorite players in the entire class. I
21:44loved his analytics profile. I saw a super underrated potential bellcow. Uh, shout out to the Denver Broncos analytics department. They always draft
21:52my guys. And this might be the first time it actually works out. Uh, and then even if that's wrong, it's well JK
21:58Dobbins is the most injury-prone running back of all time. RJ Harvey looked awful last year. It's a top three offensive line. It's top three game script. It's
22:08top three starting field position. It's a ton of red zone drives. It's There's just so much to like here. Um,
22:18>> only rostered in 33% of leagues. I I'm going to put him what? Bt tier. What What do you think, Brett?
22:24>> Uh, I would I would even say A. I was drafting this guy.
22:28>> Right. Right.
22:29>> Yeah. So, like I'd say A.
22:33>> Uh, yeah. I guess it depends on your league. 10 team, he's probably >> B or C. In a 12 team deep A. Um, but we
22:42could leave him B tier for for now.
22:44>> Okay. B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B B
22:45B B B B tier is fine. Uh Alvin Kamara uh rostered in just 24% of leagues, so he's available in 76% of leagues. I know why
22:55he's on the list, right? We just saw Kendry Miller split the the running opportunities with Travis Achan right in half. They each got nine carries. Kendry
23:04Miller got inside the five touches as well. got the touchdown because of that, >> which to me what it signals is they're
23:11not satisfied with Travis Achan as the lead back. And Alvin Kamar should be back next week or the week after. Uh, so
23:20I see why he's on the list. I don't know how I feel about it, but I I understand the thinking here.
23:24>> Yeah, I think he's D or F tier.
23:26Honestly, I I I think he he matters.
23:29This is a name to keep in the back of your mind, but it's that has a lot more to do with Travis Etienne being a bad
23:35pick, I think, than than you know, Alvin Kamar being a player to roster. Yeah, he split the carries with Kendre Miller,
23:42which is awful. The one thing he had going for him was he had nine targets, seven catches, but it was a game Tyler
23:50Shuck dropped back 63 times, >> right? And uh and yeah, and Kamar like if he's washed, okay, he probably is, but like maybe the one thing he still
24:00has going for him is he's a great pass catcher. Um and so there's a chance, you know, Etien loses that too. Graham and
24:08I, we did earlier in this off season like worst picks and you could make in each round and we both, you know, went
24:15hard in the paint talking about our disdain for Travis Etienne. And I think that is right, but that doesn't necessarily make Kamara a great pick
24:23because if Etienne goes down, yeah, I think you see another gross committee with a potentially washed Alvin Kamar and Kendra Miller.
24:32>> I'm trying to avoid the YouTube Karens and you're over here calling him by his name that's not his.
24:37Come on.
24:38>> It's stolen valor. Like, why are you stealing Devon Han's name just to make yourself sound >> I like that. I like that. No, we have we
24:45have one person who's always commenting the the most basic form of human dignity.
24:51>> Barrettfield.
24:51>> Yeah. Brett Barrettfield. But they're always like if if you the most basic form of human dignity is to call a
24:57person by their name. It's like his parents don't even agree with you. His parents don't even agree with you. They because his brother claims
25:03their name is Etienne, not ancient. So, I don't Anyways, uh >> it's it's like, you know, your career is not going too great. It's time for a
25:12rebrand. Actually, uh my name is Chosen Barrett. [laughter] Chosen Barrett. [laughter]
25:23>> Meta World Whitefield.
25:26>> Oh, that's too good. [laughter] I'm calling you chose I'm introducing you on the show as chosen Barrett from now on.
25:33That is too good. All right, we got one more running back to discuss before we move on to the wide outs. Devin
25:38Singleary of your New York Giants. We saw Cam Scataboo dominate on the ground on Sunday Night Football, but Devin Singleary was getting spanned on some
25:48short area targets. What you thinking about him?
25:52>> Yeah, I I'll put him F tier. It's just I think if Cam Scataboo were to suffer an injury, I don't think Singleary's role
25:58would change at all. I think it would go to Naji Harris or maybe Tyrone Tracy, although he had a bad fumble and seems
26:05to be in the doghouse. But even more than that is I don't think this is a valuable role, this this, you know,
26:10scatback role just because I think I think the Giants kind of took it easy on Neighbors, took it easy on Scataboo in
26:18their first game back after a devastating injury. I think and I think Scataboo is like a phenomenal pass catcher. Like it's stupid to me if they
26:26stick with this. um he had a 0% target share, Scataboo did, but over his last five full games, he had a 15.1% target
26:34share, which is an elite mark and and really like what I saw uh as as something he deserved based on on what
26:42he put on tape and in the box score stats in college. So, um he's if you look at the our front office tool, it
26:50shows you the top uh ads and drops. I don't know if that was dynasty or reddraft that we showed, but uh
26:56Singleary was one of the highest uh highest added players on the week.
27:01>> Speaking of the front office tool, I mean, if if you want waiverwire help, use the front office tool. It's going to
27:06tell you exactly the moves you should be making in your fantasy list.
27:10>> Yeah. And if you want to know who to drop, um our rest of season rankings drop Tuesday morning. Uh so you could
27:17look at it that way and then you could use our waiverwire tool in the front office to uh it like if you need a spot
27:25start it it it sorts by uh which players have the highest projection this week.
27:30Don't forget we had the the number one most accurate projections last year or if you want to know um who has the most
27:38long-term us upside you could also sort by or rest of season rankings in the same tool. I got a question on the
27:44singleary thing and it's kind of a hypothetical and I hate doing hypotheticals with fantasy but >> if Tyrone Tracy was in that role would
27:52it be more valuable to you?
27:55>> Yeah. Yeah. Just because >> there's Scaboo goes down and he gets 16 carries.
28:02>> Yeah. I'm just thinking back to like the Baltimore Ravens offense last year >> and like was Justice Hill ever fantasy
28:09relevant? Was Katon Mitchell ever fantasy relevant in that offense?
28:13because that's ultimately what that role could be. Is that enough to roster a guy?
28:18>> No.
28:18>> No. Okay. I just wanted to be clear.
28:20>> I mean, you you would be rostering him in case of a Derek Hen Henry injury, but yeah, I I if Derrick Henry went down, I
28:28don't see those guys getting >> 22 carries.
28:32>> Yeah. Individually.
28:34>> All right, let's uh blaze through some wide receivers here. Um let's start with Jaylen Coker. Uh he's only rostered in
28:4161% of the league, so he's available in 39%.
28:45Um he had a a crazy game, a career game this week against the Chicago Bears.
28:52You know, I do think some of the production here in Carolina was game script dependent and defense specific.
28:58But uh Jaylen Coker, you know, he he's a good player. I mean, I think he might be emerging as a legit number two there for
29:05them. So, what do you think about him?
29:08Yeah. So, we really try and keep this to players who are available in 50% of leagues. But if Jaylen Coker's available
29:16in your league, I I think he's the number one ad of the week. Uh, as for how real this is after he just what led
29:24all wide receivers in fantasy points.
29:26Uh, I would like to pick your brain a little bit more because for those who don't know, I'm the fantasy guy. I'm the
29:31numbers guy, but Brett is like one of the best film experts in the game, but he literally watched every snap from
29:38every game. So, he has more context to put behind the numbers than I do. And so, yeah, this is like a real question
29:44that was happening in the fantasy streets. Is Jaylen Coker the surprise wide receiver one of the team? Because, you know, over the last six weeks of the
29:55season, he was out targeting T McMillan.
29:57He was out producing T McMillan. I I want to say there's an important caveat there because Ted was dealing with this
30:02foot ankle injury throughout all of December, parts of November. So, I don't think he was healthy. That was my excuse for not really buying into this. I'm
30:10like, hey, there's not a ton of upside.
30:12We just said Bryce Young had only three games over 207 passing yards. But look at what this guy has done over his last
30:19eight games. 16 fantasy points per game, 2.3 yards per route run. Those are incredible numbers. And so Brett, you
30:29tell me how real is this? This is a guy who EPA per target is top 10 since the start of last season. Uh elite numbers
30:39over his last eight. Uh was the overall wide receiver one this week. One of the hottest names in fantasy right now. What
30:46do you think?
30:48>> Yeah, I I think he's a really good player, Scott. I think like him as a prospect was interesting because I
30:53thought he had a lot of raw ability. I remember debating him with Dro a little bit, but the the route running was just
30:58really bad. Coming from a small school, he wasn't really getting coached at a high level. And my whole thing with with
31:04Coker coming out was like, if he could just develop as a route runner a little bit, I actually think he'd have a role
31:08in the NFL. Turns out he's developed a lot. The route running looks really good. He's not like a a super high-end
31:14separator, but he's always where he needs to be, and he's physical through the stem, you know, through the break, at the catch point, and he can he can
31:23just be a flatout route and ball winner with his his size and strength. So, the thing that I actually thought was super
31:28positive about Coker is we've kind of been hearing he's going to be this power slot for them, Scott.
31:33>> He wasn't.
31:34>> Yeah, >> he I mean, it was like 6040 split out wide in slot. I think with Bryce Young at quarterback, you don't want to be in
31:41the slot. I think those are those are where you lose targets because you can't see the middle of the field, you want
31:46him on the outside. You want him in T as the primary guys on the outside with, you know, somebody just being a
31:52sacrificial slot player in the Bryce Young offense. So, I I was really encouraged the fact that he ran 35 routes from out wide. I think that's a
31:59really good sign for him this year. And it's and it's, you know, extending kind of how he ended last year where Legette
32:05did move more into the slot and they, you know, when they went 12 personnel, they did have a move tenant in the slot.
32:09So, I like what I saw. I, you know, they're not going to do this every week obviously, but he's definitely worth
32:14rostering 100%. We going A tier.
32:17>> I think S tier.
32:18>> S tier. Okay. Well, I wasn't sure if we were caveing because he's only available in 39% of leagues, but So, all right,
32:24cool. Matthew Golden, another one who's who's >> probably not available.
32:28>> Yeah, probably not available. He is he is available in 24% of leagues owned in in 76%. Um but we saw the role and the
32:36Packers are now they're finally done. We we hypothesized all offseason that maybe this is the year they're done with this nasty wide receiver rotation and they
32:45were they pretty much played the three top dog dogs the whole game. Golden led actually led the team in routes run. Um
32:52so when they did go 13 personnel or heavy personnel, it was actually Golden that stayed on the field, not Christian Watson. I think that's also a good sign.
33:00>> Yeah, 87% route share, team high 30% target share, had 95 receiving yards up against a tough defense. The Packers did
33:09go more pass heavy. Um, you know, without Josh Jacobs, so I' I'd put him S tier again. And I'll let you pick
33:18between them. Who would you rather have, Jaylen Coker or Matthew Golden?
33:21>> Probably Golden. Yeah, >> I think the big playability, but also just I think the consistency of the Green Bay offense week over week. It's
33:29just going to be, you know, more top-notch than the Carolina Panthers.
33:33All right, let's move on. Devon, uh, he's owned in just 7% of leagues, which means he's available. And if you're listening to this, there's a
33:42really good chance you can go get Devon Vele right now. And you know what's crazy about this, Scott, is you kind of
33:48talked about this before the season started. You mentioned the quote from from uh um Kell Moore about how his one regret from last season was just not
33:58getting the ball to Devon enough and we saw it a little bit this week in a in a kind of a shootout weird come from
34:04behind 2110 game against the Lions.
34:07Where are you at on Vele?
34:09>> Yeah, so this is like among the high stakes bros. This is like the number one conversation topic of the week is how
34:15much to spend on Devon Vele. Um, as he's still available in a number of these high stakes leagues, certainly in your
34:23league or 93% of home leagues he's available. Uh, he's he's on a nice little hot streak here. Over his last four games, he averages 15.5 fantasy
34:34points per game. He left one of those games early. Last week or week one, he he led the Saints in route share, 84%.
34:43He tied for second in target share. Uh Shuck's not going to have 400 yards every week, but this looks a and you
34:50know, and Jordan Tyson could be back in the second half. That's something I always want to be thinking about is is
34:56you know, your roster's upside for the fantasy playoffs. Um and so with that in mind, I'd put him, I don't know, uh B or
35:05C tier. B tier probably.
35:08>> That's fair. Um I just love that he played over 80 snaps in this game. Yeah, >> that's absurd to say. Dude ran what 80s
35:18something routes. I mean, just ridiculous. So, >> he's obviously clearly the wide receiver, too. At least until Jordan Tyson gets back. And then you got to
35:27assume Tyson's transition into the offense will be slow. So, you'll get him as the number two for a little while longer than that even. So, yeah, I like
35:35Vale. I I do I've been kind of pouring cold. I don't want to rehash the same show we had yesterday, but um I think
35:40there's a little bit of fool's gold in the Saints performance this week, but you know, I like the role nonetheless.
35:46All right, [snorts] let's talk the trio of Miami Dolphins receivers. They are all available across, you know, pretty much most platforms. They're very
35:54available. Caleb Douglas owned in just 12% of leagues. Chris Bell owned in just 9% of leagues. Malik Washington owned in just 14% of leagues. Um what are you
36:04thinking here? How do we sort this out?
36:06This is a little messy. It's kind of been messy. Caleb Douglas obviously been was the top dog as far as production
36:11goes. Is there anything else you're seeing other than that?
36:14>> Yeah, Caleb Douglas. Um, and again, like let's not forget Malik Willis kind of sucked and still Caleb Douglas, the rookie who who flashed in preseason,
36:23five catches and seven targets for 94 yards. That was the most receiving yards in a debut since Puka Nua. So, that
36:32looks really encouraging. Um, your guy Chris Bell only a 51% route share with a 7.4% target share, but I mean that's
36:42really impressive given, you know, the initial injury timeline on him and the Dolphins got a major discount on him because because of that injury. You said
36:52he showed round one caliber tape. Caleb Douglas certainly did not show that uh in college. Um, >> depends who you talk to, but yeah. So
37:01maybe there's some long-term upside, more more long-term upside with Chris Bell. But the guy I actually think we should prioritize is Malik Washington,
37:11who really impressed me. He had a team high 97% route share. So he was barely ever off the field. He had a team high
37:2030% target share. And Brett, it's one thing if Malik Washington was in the Janelle role with a negative A dot. He
37:28had a 16.0 average depth of target. So for a guy who had 115 catches his final year of college, I see quite a bit of
37:38upside here. Um, and so, you know, if we're talking about FFPC, I think he's an A tier, but you know, we're we're
37:45we're probably not, you know, probably 95% of our viewers are home league, so he's he's still like C tier, but um but
37:54he's interesting to me.
37:56>> Uh I've kind of blown away by what I saw on tape from him. the role.
38:02>> What?
38:03>> Really?
38:04>> Yeah. Yeah. Really?
38:05>> Uh, one more time, Malik Washington, his final year of college, 110 catches, 1,426 yards, nine touchdowns, uh, holds two of
38:16the decade's best ever seasons by missed tackles, forced per reception. Uh, so yeah, go on.
38:24>> Yeah. So, you know, he's playing this primary interior slot role. It actually was similar to the Wandell usage last year where it was a little more
38:32downfield, but they were attacking vertically with him from the slot and he has a little bit of juice to him, but
38:38they were also giving him some easy button targets. Couple of them just didn't go there. He did catch one screen um and I think he get, you know, got
38:45like nine 10 yards on it and then had another one batted out at the line of scrimmage and then another one that kind
38:50of got, you know, defended pretty well.
38:52But ultimately, like I I really like the role, but the thing that stood out to me was his ability to just carve up zone
38:59and Malik was just a little late getting to him in the progression, but he was I I mean, he was uncovering and running
39:06routes at a really high level against zone. Um his feel for finding space in between linebackers, in between linebacker safety, or in between corner
39:14safety, I thought was super duper high level. Something we hadn't seen from him yet to this point. He's definitely taken a little bit of a step forward with the
39:22route running and with just his overall football IQ. I I kind of I really liked what I saw. I thought this trio in
39:28general exceeded expectations. It's why it's a little bit even more of a bummer Malik had such a bad day. But um Douglas
39:35was also very impressive. The ball winning, the route running, all that looked great. But I think moving forward I'm kind of like team Malik here as the
39:42guy as the guy with the ideal role.
39:44>> I love that when we're aligned and we didn't even talk about it beforehand. So what B tier? What do you think?
39:50>> Yeah, I think B's fair. Yeah.
39:53>> All right, we got those three out of the way. Let's talk about my guy Aman Ross St. Brown Jr. Antonio Williams in
40:00Washington.
40:03>> Available in 98% of leagues. Um, yeah.
40:06Why don't you talk about what you like from Antonio Williams? You you did comp him to Aman Ross St. Brown. I did say
40:13that was insane, but I also said that uh when you comped Puka Nua to Justin Jefferson pre-draft.
40:20>> Yeah. So, Williams was Let's just start with this. Like, I love guys that play the game the right way.
40:28Like, he plays hair on fire, insanely physical, 100 miles an hour on every play. And he's not the biggest guy in
40:35the world. He's literally like the same exact size as I'm right. He's like 5'11, 195, something like that. Um, he's he's
40:41yolked up pretty good. He's he's pretty jacked for his size and just plays like he's got attitude and I love that. What
40:47I really loved about the versatility and the translatable skills to the NFL is like he was a primary outside guy for
40:56whole seasons at Clemson than a primary slot guy. And he was really good at both. He's an excellent route runner. I
41:01talked about the ability to beat zone with Malik Washington. Well, that's all over Antonio Williams tape. He's also got a ton of ball winning potential as a
41:08as a go up and get it guy. Um he's really great at using his body and frame to box guys out and keep them away from
41:14the football. Flashes late hands, really good hands, strong hands. I there's a lot I like about Antonio Williams. The I think he really he thrived on like a a
41:25vertical route tree at Clemson. that was when he was at his best, but when they had to use him as like the de facto
41:31number one, you know, early down guy, short area of the field guy, he was awesome in that role, too. So, I I think
41:39he's just a super versatile player, a perfect compliment to Scary Terry and Stefon Diggs. And, uh, they should get a lot out of him.
41:45>> Yeah, only one wide receiver averaged more yards per route run than Antonio Williams, 5.82.
41:52Uh, that was Z Flowers. So, insane efficiency. Uh, I'm gonna put him Ctier, though. Um, I I think he's a great stash
42:01in a deep league if you're looking for upside in the later in the season, but he he only had a 26% route share. So, I
42:08think, you know, behind Stefan Diggs, behind Terry McLuren, um, you know, you really can't count on too much in the short term. Probably going to be
42:19available on waiverss for another month or so. I'm just curious, what do you think happened with um, Terry McLuren?
42:25think it's just the Eagles have his number? Uh, do you think he looked washed? What What do you think happened there?
42:32>> I mean, the offense was just completely disjointed the whole game. Jaden Daniels, >> the offensive line looked nonviable.
42:40What What was McLaren's role? Was he back in the deep threat role? Because based on what the OC was saying all
42:46offseason, I thought he would be in like the featured one role where >> they No, they tried. They tried. I mean,
42:51that's the thing with Vic Fango is he can give you nightmares. uh like he can take away your best player pretty
42:55easily. Quinan, I'm pretty sure traveled with him. I'll have to double check the data, but just off the the film, first
43:02impression, I'm pretty sure Quinan traveled with him. And then they they were behind the chains the entire game.
43:07They couldn't run the football. The offensive line made no impact in the run game. I thought Daniels had probably more time than I thought he was going to
43:16to throw the ball. He kind of held the ball forever actually on some downs.
43:20Just couldn't really get it going with Terry. I I'm I'm just going to chalk that one up as week one's a liar, but
43:26we'll we'll see for sure. Another thing I liked about Williams, though, by the way, is they moved them all over the
43:30place. You know, played X, played played in the slot, played the flanker role. I think that that's a good sign, too. So,
43:36um we got to go backwards, though. We didn't tier Chris Bell and and uh Caleb Douglas. So, >> do we have to I because
43:42>> Well, just just go go probably Dtier for Chris Bell. It's going to be they're going to ease him into the offense. He
43:49played the third most snaps among wide receivers and then he was just like barely ahead of um Kevin Coleman Jr. So
43:56like they're going to ease him into the offense coming off the ACL and I think Douglas is probably >> Ctier.
44:02>> Actually, you know what? Let's go Malik in A tier and Douglas a B tier. Are you okay with that or no?
44:08>> Or do you just want to go both Btier for them? I I think I think Malik A tier is fine, but I think Douglas still Ctier.
44:16I don't want I don't want heavy exposure to Malik Willis wide receivers. Brett, >> that's fair, but we're talking last spot
44:22on the bench kind of guys. And I think I think your pre-draft bias after we talk about these next wide receivers because
44:29there's >> there's a lot more to like. So C tier for Douglas for now.
44:33>> Bive decision.
44:35Um, Btier for I just worry you're holding on to pre-draft bias with Douglas because Stephen AOR had been hyping him up. I've been hyping him up
44:43all preseason and then he goes out and puts up a 92 burger in his first game. I mean, >> yeah, guess what, guys? Go spend 30% of
44:50your fab on three Miami wide receivers and see how that works out for you.
44:55>> No one's saying that. No one's saying that. But Trey, I'd go Washington Btier, Douglas Btier, then we'll revisit here in a second.
45:02>> Um, all right. Debo Samuel, he's available or sorry, he's only owned in 48% of the leagues. So, he's available in over half the leagues out there. Um,
45:11I I don't want anything to do with this, but I'll let you cook.
45:14>> Bro, I I I liked what I saw in the in the stats. At the very least, he had a 41% snap share, which is not great, but
45:22Dejon Stribbling is now out one to two months, if not for the rest of the season. Uh, and Debo had six catches on
45:31seven targets for 48 yards and a touchdown back in that screen roll, which raises your your weekly floor. Um, one carry
45:41for 12 rushing yards. I liked what I saw and I see upside now with stribbling out. Uh the the only real question is is
45:50this a washed fat version of Debo Samuel or is it possible the 2024 version or 2023 version of Debo Samuel's back?
46:01You're the film expert. So So only you could tell me that >> I don't think he looks truly washed.
46:06Okay. I I I'll be nice in that regard.
46:09He looks actually leaner than he did last year. So I think that's a good thing. but he doesn't have the same
46:15explosiveness and tackle breaking upside as he did a year ago or even three years ago. So, I don't know. I'm I don't know. I I think this is all
46:25Evans and KD for me and then CMC. I I don't >> Yeah, that's the other thing is they were easing uh KD in. CMC dealt with
46:32cramps. So, I I think >> it makes more sense for CMC to get those screens when he's healthy. All right.
46:39So, so based on your film expertise, I guess you're going to go Dtier. Yeah, Dtier.
46:46And here's a big one. I think a relatively huge one. He's available in 99% of leagues.
46:52>> Yeah.
46:53>> Deario Douglas. Pop Douglas. This dude does nothing but gets open.
46:58>> Um he's I know he's one of John Hansen's favorite guys. I I don't know why he just they just seem to never want to
47:04like just fully trust him and lean into him. Deario Douglas, man, we got AJ Brown on the shelf and we got Romeo
47:10Dubs stinking the joint up. So, somebody has to catch passes. They traded Kahan Booty. Uh Kyle Williams is not really in the fold yet. So, it's
47:20it's by defac or it's de facto Deario Douglas here.
47:24>> He was quietly awesome in week one. He had a team high seven targets, a team high 79% route share. AJ Brown has a
47:32really bad high ankle sprain. is probably out six weeks. Um, and what's interesting is, so I had this great Texan source who got uprooted and became
47:43a a Patriots beat. And uh, I was texting with him during that game early on, I think before the AJ Brown injury, and he
47:51was like, "Bro, I've been telling you uh, Deario Douglas is better than Romeo Dobs. Romeo Dobs looked awful in that game. Um, Romeo Dobs is the number two."
48:01And then AJ Brown goes out. And I'm like, "Hey, if a AJ Brown's out a while, what do you think happens? You think
48:07it's just another different wide receiver one every week like last year?"
48:11He's like, "No, I think Demario Douglas gets a ton of balls." So, uh, again, a really inspiring week one, really awful
48:17week one for Dos. Um, and you know, source is high on on Douglas. So, yeah.
48:24And and if it matches with what you're seeing on tape, I think this is like one of the sneakiest ads that I haven't
48:31heard anyone else really, you know, keep up for.
48:35>> Yeah, I for that reason I think we got to go s here. I There's a chance I mean, right? There's a chance you're
48:40getting you're getting the, you know, high-powered offense's number one wide out at least until AJ Brown comes back.
48:46There's a chance that has to make a mess tier.
48:50So >> yeah. Yeah. I mean, again, I don't know that he has uh championship winning upside or and AJ Brown comes back at
48:59some point. And I've called Drake May the Mao Dong of quarterbacks because of how much he likes to spread the wealth
49:06around. Um, [laughter] so I I think S tier is a little lofty, but I love your conviction, so so we can
49:13stick with it. This is honestly a guy where I don't think you need to burn a waiver claim. I think I think he'll be
49:18there for you to add on Thursday or Friday if you needed to.
49:21>> Interesting. Well, I'm just look, we have Jaylen Coker in the S tier and he plays with a quarterback who doesn't you know what I'm saying? Like
49:28what?
49:29>> Yeah, but we have proof of concept with like I said 15.5 fantasy points per game over his last seven.
49:34>> Okay.
49:34>> Douglas, he he flashed he'll flash for a week and then he'll disappear for a month.
49:40>> Okay. If you don't want him in S tier, then I >> Yeah, let's move him A tier. Just I feel
49:44a little bit more comfort. I like that we're aligned here as like he is the number one under the radar waiver waiver
49:51claim.
49:52>> All right, the next guy is not owned in any leagues. [laughter] His ownership rate is zero. I'm sure >> Brett's leagues were where where you
50:00drafted him in round 12.
50:02>> I have an obscene amount of dynasty shares of Khif Raymond. Actually, Khif Raymond, that's who we're talking about.
50:07Khalif Raymond, Chicago Bears wide out, led the team in target share in a what was a a curb stomping of the Carolina
50:14Panthers. He was very active. Um, don't think anyone truly saw this coming. So, is this Are we Are we treating this like
50:24it's real or what? What's the deal here, Scott?
50:27So, I This is curious. This is interesting. Uh, I think I need to lead off with this stat is that he had a 35%
50:36target share. The only players with a higher target share than that were uh JSN, Aman Ross St. Brown and Puka Nakua.
50:44So, this was elite elite volume for what looks to be one of the best offenses in football. They just dropped 60 points.
50:52Um, there's like real contingent upside here. Like people are holding on to Ryan Florenoi who they think could be a league winner and I agree if George
51:01Pickkins or CD Lamb were to suffer an injury. But that has to extend to Cla Raymond at a bare minimum. It's like,
51:07hey, what if you know Luther Burton gets hurt? What if Romo Dunes gets hurt? Um, I don't want to believe this is real. I
51:15want to believe, hey, Burton was dealing with injuries. He missed a ton of practice time in August. Odun came into the week banged up. Um, and that's all
51:25this is, and this is going to be Khif Raymond's best game all year. Um, but you're the Khalif Raymond guy, so so you
51:32can tell me whether that's right or wrong.
51:34>> I mean, I don't know. I mean, I I I figured he'd be a factor in the offense, but like no, I don't think I don't think this
51:43role is going to stay. I I do think eventually it's going to be the the other three, you know, Loveland, Burden,
51:49Odun. Not necessarily in that order, but is he going to have weeks like this?
51:54Yeah, I think that's probably true. So, I I don't know how much like I think trying to predict this week over week is
52:01nightmarish. I I got to see it happen a few more times in a row before I really buy in. I I would say like Dtier.
52:09>> Okay, sounds good to me. If the Yeah, if Captain Khalif Raymond >> captain of the Khif Raymond fan club has
52:16him Dtier, who am I to disagree?
52:19>> Sure. All right, the next guy I think is is pretty consequential as well. and he's a guy I talked about this off
52:25seasonason as like hey the Philadelphia Eagles are implementing a new offense and we know and then they traded AJ Brown and we know Jaylen Herz has
52:34struggled to throw the ball over the middle or I should say been unwilling to throw the ball over the middle of the
52:38field and so if the new stuff in the offense doesn't stick who's the biggest beneficiary well it's not Devonte Smith and it's not Mai Lemon and it's not
52:46Dallas it's actually Dantavian Wixs and that's exactly what we saw yesterday Jaylen Herz over 60% of his pass attempts were outside the numbers still
52:55despite the new offense, despite everything we've heard this off seasonason, he didn't throw the ball over the middle of the field and most of
53:01his middle of the field throws were, you know, checkdowns and screens and things of that nature. So, I think this is
53:07really interesting, Scott. I don't want to overreact to it, but we know Dantavian Wix is a high level separator and he might have a good role. What do
53:16you think? Well, on one of our previous episodes, I reminded you my comp for Dantavian Wixs [laughter] was if Randy Moss was born without arms, and then I
53:26you were like, "Yeah, because he's an ascod. He's a yak god. He just has this awful drop rate with those drops
53:32typically coming >> at the worst possible time in the end zone on deep balls with the game on the line." And I was like, "Yeah, but like
53:39what if he just like, you know, got a Jugs machine for Christmas or he like grew an appendage like a lizard and now
53:47he has one arm." Uh, and if you look at what he did, it looked like he had two arms. He looked he looked awesome. He he
53:53was getting open. Um, you know, just to pump the brakes a little bit, I'll say, uh, heavy 11 personnel. He he tied Mai
54:03Lemon, who who we're probably lowest in the injury on, but was still a a round one draft pick and a Bulletnikov winner.
54:10Tied Mai Lemon in routes run, tied Mai Lemon in target share. And like, let's not lose sight of the fact that this is
54:18an Eagles offense that like ranks bottom three in pass attempts every single season. So, and he's probably he's probably the number three target um for
54:30an offense that again is probably going to be bottom three in pass attempts. Um so that's that's sort of the weighing of
54:37the pros and cons to me.
54:39>> It's tough because yeah, I agree.
54:41Smitty, Goddard, they're going to be targeted more heavily, but we know Herz is going to hit a deep ball or two every
54:47single week and they're going to go to this guy. Like it's forced. I I don't know. It's It's a tough It's a tough uh
54:55equation to figure out for me.
54:57>> Um, where are you tiering him out at?
55:00>> Probably Btier.
55:04>> Btier. Okay, that's that's a lot higher than I thought you were going to say based on your analysis. Okay, Ctier is
55:09fair.
55:10>> Well, let's go tight ends. We got three we want to talk about real quick.
55:13Michael Mayer kind of disappointing after we hyped him up quite a bit on our start sit show last week. Where you at
55:21on Mr. Mayor?
55:23>> Yeah, usage was great. 77% route share, seven targets. I think a lot of people are going to be looking to add him. I
55:29just kind of don't get it. It's we just heard, you know, per Ian Rapaort that Rock Bowers is looking to play week two.
55:37So, it's like >> uh knee surgery.
55:42>> Yeah. I So, I think this is insane. And like if you're a Bowowers owner, I don't want him playing. I want them because
55:48they tried to do that last year and they made it worse. Um, but that is what is being reported in which case like yeah
55:54his his usage is good in the short term but as soon as Bowowers comes back I I don't see a ton of upside for him. So
56:02like like I in fantasy football all that really matters at the tight end position is like mid-range tight end one upside
56:09or better and I just don't see that from Michael Mayer. Um so he he's like another D tier to me.
56:18Okay, I like it. Daltton Schultz, Houston Texans, 48% owned across the universe, which means he's available in over half of the leagues. I I feel like
56:29Schultz is always a sneaky fantasy guy.
56:33But what what do you have to say about him?
56:35Yeah, it's seven targets, four catches, 35 yards in a game that like CJ Shrout typically what attempted 38 passes or
56:46>> um he's usually well below that. I I he's another Dtier to me. I just don't see a ton of upside here. I mean, like
56:55people are like, "Oh, well, you know, Jaden Higgins got hurt. They don't have anyone else." It's like that was the same thing last year, you know? So, I
57:02just don't see a ton of upside for the guy.
57:05>> I I kind of agree with you. Um maybe a a skank tight end play here and there, you know, if you really
57:12>> like people are are looking to like maybe you see Tucker Craft's 40% route share and they're like, "Okay, Packers are really taking it easy on him, which
57:21they're notorious for having the most conservative training staff in football." Yeah. But it's like I would rather start a 40% Tucker Craft than
57:32Daltton Schultz.
57:33>> Unrelated to the to the topic of the show, but eye test on Tucker Craft suggested he needed to be eased into the
57:39offensive.
57:40>> Oh, interesting. Wow.
57:41>> I don't think he looks super explosive right now. So, we'll see. Um, last one of the show, Mike Gasiki, Cincinnati
57:50Bengals. He's only owned in 2% of leagues. Basically can find him everywhere. uh led the team in targets.
57:56Am I correct in saying that?
57:58>> The number one receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals, Brett [laughter] >> in a tight game kind of. Well, not really. They were they were leading by a
58:06lot. Bucks made a late run at it, but ah man, I don't know here.
58:11>> Yeah, he's he's probably Fier like I'm open to being wrong, but uh we saw this at times over the last two years where
58:18he'd he'd randomly pop usually when T.
58:20Higgins was hurt, by the way. But 46% route share. He's basically like poor man's Dalton Concincade or poor poor man's last year's Dalton Concincaid to
58:29me. I know pe some people are getting very excited, but I don't really see it personally.
58:34>> Yeah, for for the purposes of fantasy where you have to make a lineup call. I I just don't I don't think you can do
58:40it. DFS, obviously he's got some utility, but this is not a DFS show, so we'll stick with just waiverwire. Um Ftier for sure. That's it. That's week
58:52two waiverwire. Scott, how you feeling about that?
58:55>> Feeling great. This was a blast. Love talking ball with you. Love learning from you. Um, leaning on your film expertise to help my uh, analysis with
59:05the numbers. I think I think this is Yeah, I feel great heading into uh, the waiver wire for all of my dozens of
59:12teams this week.
