0:00Fantasy Football Daily is back and we have [music] an awesome episode today, a special edition, a two bars edition. I'm here with my guy, Mr. CEO, Scott
0:11Barrett.
0:13>> [music] >> I think I'm I'm more excited for this
0:23than anything. It's It's go time. It's July. We're We're here to help people win some leagues.
0:28>> Let's go, baby. That's right. Yo, shout out to the Swamp Rats. Hey, producer Trey, hit him with that sick rap.
0:36Do we have that queued up?
0:37>> I do not have it queued up, but I can but I can I'll put it in the I'll put it
0:41in the edit.
0:42>> [music] >> Happy to be back, man. This is This is awesome. I missed this.
0:53>> Yeah, I know. We've It's long overdue. The people have been clamoring for for literal years for more Scott and Graham content. So, guess
1:01what? We're We're giving the people what they want. We are dominating in these YouTube streets, Scott. We posted I think 10 videos this week, just
1:09absolutely crushing it. Our guy Trey is crushing it behind the scenes, making sure we look and sound amazing.
1:15And yeah, this is what you can expect from us. We're going to be daily every single day, Fantasy Football Daily on
1:20the podcast feed. We're also going to have these breakout YouTube videos with myself, Scott, just going through basically a number of, you know, kind of interesting
1:29discussion points. Scott, let's get it started, man.
1:32We're going to be talking again five deep quarterback and tight end sleepers.
1:37Let's get started with one that we both agree on big time this season. That is Mark Andrews. And this is a player we've
1:42had a lot of success with, Scott. We both predicted the breakout in 2021. I think we told literally every subscriber in that season to draft him as much as
1:50we possibly could.
1:52I just I think we we see a huge role boost this season, man.
1:58Isaiah Likely's gone, Charlie Kolar is gone. They have no other option but to play Mark Andrews in more of a full-time
2:05role, and that's really kind of been the thing that's missing over the last couple of seasons, right? It's like he was running 81% of the routes in 2021
2:13and 22 when he was like perennially a top six tight end. That hasn't really been the case over the last two seasons,
2:18like I mentioned with Likely and Kolar stealing a lot of routes, playing a lot of 12 and 13 personnel. But even as a
2:24part-time player, Scott, over the last two years, he is tied in two in expected touchdowns per game. That's second only to George Kittle.
2:31The touchdown equity has been amazing, and now he's going to be hopefully a full-time player.
2:37That's the bull case for Mark Andrews this season, I think.
2:40I I curious for your thoughts, where you're drafting him, and also like Lamar Jackson's healthy again. You know, that's that's like a huge, you know,
2:48factor here as well as like getting Lamar back fully healthy. Ravens offense should be wills up this season.
2:55>> Yeah, well, you're actually kind of putting words into my mouth a little bit. I don't know that I'm a Mark
2:58Andrews guy. I I just think he's interesting and worth talking about. I really like that pocket that that Mark Andrews, Dalton Kincaid, Isaiah Likely,
3:07Dallas Goedert not maybe Irv Smith Jr. too, not necessarily in that order, but like it's just interesting. Like there's there's more
3:15upside here than we've ever become accustomed to with these these late uh you know, these early high-end tight end twos. Um and so
3:27here's how I'm thinking about Mark Andrews, the the bull case.
3:31And by the way, if I'm ever giving a take, it's a start sit redraft take.
3:35It's not a best ball take unless I explicitly say best ball. The those really are two entirely different things. Mark Andrews is a great pick in
3:42best ball. Start sit, I'm I'm still trying to make up my mind, but here's the bull case argument, and maybe you
3:48could sway me is uh he he finishes the tight end six or better in six straight seasons and then he kind of struggled the last two years
3:58and and that kind of makes sense when he's splitting time with Isaiah Likely and Charlie Kolar but he ranks behind only George Kittle
4:05and fantasy points per route run the last three seasons so you just take that fantasy point per route run and you
4:11multiply it by I don't know twice as many routes as he ran last year with it now that Likely's gone.
4:17He's a league winner and like that's who he was pre Isaiah Likely who you know maybe he kind of I know he was a day three tight end but
4:26my my prospect model had a round two round three grade on him at least before that combine.
4:32The downside argument is we got a graphic we can show on screen here is 2025 was his first season of his
4:41career with a yards per route run below 2.0.
4:45It's all the way down at 1.33.
4:48He ranked top three in ass three straight seasons and then he fell all the way down to tight end 15 last year
4:56so like there's a real chance he's cooked.
4:58At a bare minimum again from a best ball perspective like he ranks top three in end zone targets every year there's a
5:05ton of touchdown upside there's not really anyone else from a start sit perspective.
5:11I don't know I I don't know it's I think both arguments feel like somewhat equally compelling to me.
5:18>> Right I think from start sit perspective after the top six tight ends man it we're really just chasing touchdowns anyway you know what I mean
5:28and with him it like he's been yearly like year and year out one of the best touchdown scores. How much do you
5:34put into the injury he had 2023 it was obviously a really brutal injury he needed tightrope surgery in his left ankle and
5:43then he had like a a weird motor motorcycle accident I don't know if you remember that like in August of preseason 24. He's had some like real
5:50bad injury concerns. I guess you could say yeah, maybe he fell off because of the injuries and and all of his rehab.
5:56This is the first legitimately healthy offseason he's had in two seasons now.
6:02>> Wait, he was hurt coming into last year?
6:04>> No, no, no, 24. 24. Last year he was Yeah, he was healthy last year.
6:09>> Yeah, so like I I was worried about that injury, but then he led all tight ends in ASS in 2024. That's average
6:14separation score and so I was like, oh okay, like he's healthy. And then like last year, I don't know. He He's only
6:2030. Only There is some wear and tear there.
6:24>> Yeah, like that's where I'm like maybe he's certainly fallen off a little bit, but I don't know about cooked. I think I
6:29think like >> I mean, part of it too is like Dude, that offense sucked. Like it was It was Lamar Jackson
6:36>> Lamar was hurt all year.
6:37>> Yeah. And and and a non-mobile Lamar Jackson, Lamar Jackson with a lower body injury is like a bottom-five quarterback in the NFL cuz like that's his
6:46superpower. That's what That's what makes him great. That's Cyclops Like if you take Cyclops and get rid of his laser vision, he's just a guy. That's
6:54That's Lamar Jackson. Um and so yeah, you know, sometimes you have that where these guys just kind of check out and uh
7:01like I I think Justin Jefferson did that in the JJ McCarthy games last year. I you can Again, it's you can kind of
7:07argue it multiple different ways. Uh there's a new regime in town, too, and it's really just like they kind of don't
7:13have anyone besides Zay Flowers Lamar key injuries that he might just be like forced to thrust like to to be the guy.
7:20The one thing I'll I'll I'll push back on is you said, "Oh, well, you know, this this late we're kind of just
7:24pushing back. We're We're kind of just uh chasing touchdowns anyway." I think in most years we are. I think this year's uniquely great from a a value
7:32perspective.
7:34Dalton Kincaid uh ranked behind only Jackson Smith-Njigba and Puka Nacua in yards per route run last year. And I don't know that I I buy into it. I think
7:42they like Dawson Knox. I think they like Jackson Harris. I don't think they trust him as a blocker. But like if he goes
7:48from he's just like wide receiver 25 in route share, like that's a that's a league winner. You know, last year he
7:55was what? 44% route share. You have Isaiah Likely who's looking like the number two receiver on the team if not the number
8:03one pending Malik Neighbors health who historically without Mark Andrews has been a fantasy juggernaut whenever Mark Andrews missed time or was hurt. And
8:13then Dallas Goddard, yeah, you we we could be chasing touchdowns. He had what? 10 touchdowns last year and now AJ Brown's out of the picture. And so
8:22Rondale Gadsden who I know producer Trey is calling Emrond Gadsden, but you know, there was that four-week stretch where he like he he was like a
8:31top five wide receiver. He looked amazing. Uh obviously with with you know, the the increased tight end competition with David Njoku and Charlie
8:41Kolar, it's concerning, but you know, just on talent this is a a prospect I loved, had a lot of faith and belief in.
8:47So yeah, that there's a sweet spot there that that is really compelling to me.
8:53>> I hear you on the Kincaid enthusiasm, but we do this every single year, man.
8:58Kincaid has never been a full-time player. Even back in 2023, he was still running less than 70% of a you know,
9:03full-time route share.
9:05I I hear you. He has like really good weekly upside from a best ball perspective, but I think in manage leagues I'm still out. Like yeah, in
9:12best ball yeah, it's just like he's going to have some spike weeks with Josh Allen for sure. Isaiah Likely I'm I'm
9:17more interested in this year than ever for sure. I mean he should play significantly more. Theo Johnson is just not the receiving talent that Isaiah
9:25Likely is and you mentioned the Neighbors injury. I mean that's just like the huge contention upside with with Likely. Uh I think I'm I'm pretty
9:32excited about Andrews this season in a way that I wasn't last year. I was like completely out on him last year. All
9:38right, Scott, let's switch gears a little bit. Going to switch into uh favorite quarterback deep sleeper of mine this season. This guy just does not
9:47get enough respect in the fantasy circles. He's not really getting enough respect in the NFL circles. It's Baker Mayfield. He is just the QB uh 19 in
9:56ADP. Over the last two seasons with two different play callers, mind you, he's QB six in fantasy points per game, just
10:02nudging out QB seven, Patrick Mahomes, and Brock Purdy. Both those guys just 1/10 of a point per game behind Baker.
10:11There's a few things here that I like about him. The opening schedule is phenomenal. He gets the Bengals in a shootout in week one, then the Browns
10:19uh in week two at home without Myles Garrett. And if you're drafting late-round quarterbacks this season, it's an incredible year for it, Scott.
10:26We can talk more about that in just a moment. This has been in my opinion, going through the research, this is one
10:31of the best years we've ever had for late-round quarterback. But Baker kind of sticks out to me because he's got the
10:36easy schedule. And then over the course of the season, I think he's got legitimate scrambling and rushing upside. He's the QB seven in total
10:42scramble yards over the last two seasons.
10:45You know, you can question, okay, maybe the touchdown upside and the efficiency drops without like a legitimate Hall of Fame receiver in Mike Evans this season.
10:53And I I think that's really where I'm landing is like that's like kind of the only red flag I see in his profile.
11:00Uh I'm big on on Baker in QB 19, especially in redraft this season. I think if you just completely wait until like the
11:09eighth, ninth, 10th round this year to draft your quarterback, you're going to be drafting from a pocket that is pretty sweet. Baker goes at the end of that
11:17pocket, usually like round 11 or 12.
11:20What are your thoughts on Baker in this Bucs offense this season?
11:22>> Well, I I I think the Mike Evans criticism could be big. Uh you just look at the last two seasons. Mike Evans
11:29missed 12 of 34 games. With Mike Evans, Baker averaged 21.3 fantasy points per game behind only Josh Allen, Drake Maye.
11:37And without Mike Evans, 16.4 fantasy points per game that would have ranked 20th last year. And so you that might be
11:46that might be big.
11:48Again, this feels like a best ball guy to me. Like I I really like him for best ball. Start sit, I see guys who run with
11:55more upside, but Ryan Heath was in my DMs couple days ago. We did a big big show on quarterbacks that everyone
12:01should check out where he he sort of tiered all the quarterbacks by who he thought should be my Exodia. And he he
12:07was kind of lower on Baker.
12:09He's come back around. He's like, I really like this play calling this play caller upgrade for him. And he's just like so underrated. Check out this stat
12:18that's on the screen here. I I made this more so as a criticism of Joe Burrow who I'm out on this year as a kind of a
12:25controversial take. It's just he doesn't run and he's injury prone. And you can get that like similar value elsewhere.
12:33And maybe from Baker. So 2023 Joe Burrow averaged fewer fantasy points per game than Baker Mayfield. 2024
12:42Joe Burrow averaged only 0.2 fantasy points per game more than Baker Mayfield. Last year only 0.6 more fantasy points per game than Baker
12:52Mayfield. And there's what? There's like a 10 round difference in ADP. And yeah, sure Joe Burrow, you know, maybe left some games early with an injury, but
13:02dude, Baker Mayfield was on the injury report 11 times last year with foot, toe, biceps, knee, oblique, illness, shoulder, his left shoulder, shoulder,
13:12his right shoulder. 11 times last year.
13:15He He's a warrior who plays through everything, but dude, he was clearly not right. You saw that after that 49ers game, he ranked like
13:23he went from middle of the pack to like dead last in completion percentage over expectation, catchable throw rate. Amari Cooper was also hurt and Mike Evans was
13:32hurt. Amari Cooper his his next gen stats miles per hour speed, he went from like I don't know like consistently hitting you know 1920s to like
13:4318 or 17 something like that. So yeah, I think you can throw out last year and you know there is a play caller
13:49upgrade and you know, the one thing I'll say too is like there's if he's your fantasy quarterback like the amount of
13:57fun you're going to have is is amplified because dude is such a [ __ ] dog like puts the team on his back and he's he's
14:04just so fun to watch and he's good. He's really good.
14:07>> Yeah, the swag levels of your team go through the roof exponentially with Baker Mayfield on your team. I think I see more back end
14:14QB1 upside. I'm with you. He does not have like top end like top six >> all I care about. That's all I'm like in
14:21order to be an Exodia which means like to be the quarterback I'm drafting I kind of only go all in on one guy. It's
14:28you need that top overall QB1 upside and I don't think he has it. I don't think Joe Burrow has it and I so I think I'm out on on guys
14:38like that.
14:39>> I I like your Burrow take a lot. There's just a lot of quarterbacks this year man that like you can get these kind of like
14:45you know yardage and touchdown monsters and Dak Prescott later. Brock Purdy much later than Joe Burrow. I'm just with you on on Burrow in general and this is just
14:54such a great year for late round quarterback.
14:56Baker just sticks out to me as a technical value, a very very strong technical value and I I do see a little bit of upside
15:03here for all the reasons you mentioned.
15:04I agree with you on Zach Robinson being a significant play caller upgrade. All right Scott.
15:10Let's get into your one of your favorite late round quarterback tight end sleepers this season. I know we're not giving away Exodia plays here, but what
15:19is your second favorite quarterback value on the board this season.
15:23>> Oh, dude, I I I actually don't know because it like this is the trickiest it's been for an Exodia quarterback because there's so
15:33much there's so many quarterbacks to like and that's really just saying like it kind of doesn't matter who the Exodia quarterback is cuz like you know, in
15:40past years it's just like okay, Drake May obviously or Jalen Hurts obviously, Lamar Jackson obviously, but there's like so many quarterbacks to like I
15:48really like uh the sweet spot of, you know, Trevor Lawrence, Justin Herbert, Jackson Dart, uh but like in terms of the best pure
15:57value it has to be either Kyler Murray or Malik Willis because they're going QB 17
16:04by ADP, QB 21 and there is, you know, double-digit rounds. They're the only quarterbacks that have overall QB one upside and no one else comes close and
16:15they have like legitimately good overall QB one upside. So So, which quarterback do you do you want to hear me talk about
16:21here?
16:22>> It's yeah, we got Kyler queued up as the QB 17.
16:26Um I'm with you on him being one of the best technical values. I mean, he was a top 12 quarterback in fantasy for four
16:31straight seasons prior to last year's just debacle.
16:35>> Yeah, yeah, I So, the the concern I've always had with Kyler Murray is and you see it on the tweet that's showing on
16:40the screen is he's Gen Z Jay Cutler to me. Like I don't think he cares about football and like that's not a meme. Like I know the
16:49the stats like Call of Duty drops and like his all of his numbers tank every year like it at the end of November when
16:55Call of Duty comes out. Um but like don't forget there was that contract fiasco where Arizona extended him and they had it
17:03worked into the contract that he needed like at least two hours of of screen time watching, you know, game footage and uh
17:11every single week and then they got bullied into removing it from the contract but it's like you don't put that in there. You don't have that carve
17:18out unless that's a real concern like this guy just doesn't care about football. Don't forget, he was like a baseball star and like almost went into
17:25the major a major league baseball and now he I don't know wants to be a, you know, major league gaming, you know,
17:30CS:GO player. Um and and then there was also Brian Schottenheimer who uh was asked about Kyler Murray randomly and he was like, "Yeah, you know, we
17:39wanted him to run more. He just didn't want to do it. So, we like we had to take those plays off and it hurt the
17:44offense." And it's like And then you had um uh an anonymous teammate, you know, quoted from by Rich Cimini like, "Yo,
17:53you do not want Kyler Murray on your team. Like, trust me on this. Like, do not you do not want" And yeah, I think
17:59there's like serious gaff issues. Uh the the the the benefit here is like, "Okay, well, he's playing on a prove-it deal.
18:07He's going to enter free agency next year. He wants the bag." And so, maybe we see Kyler Murray go all out. And
18:14Kyler Murray going all out is awesome. Uh even last year where maybe he wasn't, you know, he still ranked second in fantasy points per game on
18:23scrambles.
18:25Over the last uh since he came into the league, it's like only Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, uh and Patrick Mahomes average more
18:33fantasy points per start than Kyler Murray. There's a ton of upside here. I said this once upon a time like Kyler Murray's mobility to me might be
18:42more impressive to me than Lamar Jackson. Where like Lamar Jackson is like special special straight line fast, but like Kyler Murray in the pocket like
18:51teleports like Nightcrawler. And it's just like so cool to watch him like jitterbug. I've never seen a quarterback like this like Dante Hall. I've never
18:59seen a quarterback kind of move the way he does.
19:02Um and then you have Kevin O'Connell who every single quarterback he's got like was awesome for fantasy. Josh Dobbs got off of a plane on a Wednesday, traded,
19:12and then like immediately put up 30 fantasy points in a game he didn't even start. Nick Mullens uh hit 390 his his pa- he had started three games
19:24for Kevin O'Connell. It was like 333 passing yards, 395, 404 passing yards.
19:30You got Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, Juwan Jennings. It's an amazing environment. So, yeah, like he could absolutely be the Exodia quarterback. He
19:38could absolutely break leagues this year. He has that in his range of outcomes.
19:43Uh we've seen that from him before, you know, uh you know, again, the wheels tend to fall off in the second half. I don't think that's
19:52Call of Duty. I think that that's historically been injuries, but a fully healthy Kyler Murray is like Jalen Hurts, you know, or Jalen Hurts
19:59plus even uh at times. So, yeah, I I I like this um certainly if I were a Best Ball drafter looking at this um
20:09crazy cheap QB 17 ADP, I would have so much exposure.
20:14>> Hand up, I was the guy saying that, you know, J.J. McCarthy, this this system is just kind of like quarterback proof in a
20:20way, and that that clearly did not work out last year with McCarthy. But, yeah, I mean, you're right. You you look back
20:25to 2022, Kirk Cousins was QB 12 in fantasy points per game. He was fourth in passing yards that season. And then,
20:32yeah, 2023, Dobbs and Mullens had to start seven games, and as a combined unit, they were still seventh in fantasy points per game that year. They also led
20:39the league in passing yards in '23. And then last year happened, you know, the year before that happened, Sam Darnold was a legitimate top-10 fantasy
20:46quarterback. He was also QB 5 in passing yards. Uh last year was a disaster.
20:51There's no doubt about it. Kyler is certainly an upgrade over McCarthy. I I'm with you. I still have questions about Murray as a passer, especially as
20:58a downfield passer. His accuracy numbers and completion rate over expectation on any throws beyond 10 yards down the field has really never been particularly
21:06great. But, yeah, I mean between the play calling >> when you have Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, Jordan Addison?
21:13>> Exactly. Someone's going to be open.
21:14Yeah, someone's going to be open and you know, O'Connell when he's on, he's one of the best play callers in the NFL. Uh
21:21super interesting case there.
21:23Bull case for for Kyler from Scott. Uh let's switch gears.
21:26>> line should be uh better than it's been and Christian Darrisaw hasn't been able to stay healthy.
21:31>> Darrisaw is a dog, like legitimately a huge difference maker. Maybe not in the same vein as like Lane Johnson and Trent
21:37Williams, but a tier below those guys for sure. I mean, he's he's incredible. All right, let's switch gears. We'll talk about one more tight
21:43end. I know I know this is a player I didn't want to put words in your mouth with Mark Andrews. I do apologize with
21:47that, but I do know that you're in on Dallas Goedert this year with me as well. Tight end 15 ADP is just
21:51disrespectful ADP for this guy.
21:54As far as like technical values go, I think he's the safest bet, not just within this passing offense, but maybe one of the safest bets among tight ends.
22:01He's finished top 12 in PPR points per game in four straight seasons. Two of those uh were eight top eight campaigns.
22:08And then yeah, you remove A.J. Brown from the equation.
22:11You look at the last two seasons, Scott.
22:14Uh Goedert and DeVonta Smith have both played five games without A.J. Brown.
22:19Goedert has increased his targets per game by 28%. His XFP per game, as expected, has also increased by 34%.
22:28He's basically like been a you know, been a top 12 guy. I I think he has like top eight in his range of outcomes this
22:35season. You mentioned it is a pretty interesting year, I think for the top 15 tight ends. This is certainly in terms
22:42of projections, the best it's looked for quite some time, but in my opinion, Goedert stands out as one of the best
22:47values and I don't have to worry about playing time concerns with him, man. I mean, I just was saying with Kincaid
22:53we do this every year. We do this every year with this guy where his his yards per route run, his per route metrics,
22:58all the metrics underneath the hood look great.
23:01And everybody forgets that he can't play full-time. Isaiah Likely's kind of been the same thing, like to a lesser extent.
23:07His efficiency per you know, per route metrics don't look as good, but he's been pretty decently efficient playing with Lamar Jackson.
23:14I just think Dallas Goddard, he's like a true workhorse tight end who's going to play every snap. He can block and he can
23:21still run reasonably well. We're getting close to the age curve with him, Scott, but I mean, I think he tight end 15 ADP
23:27is just way too cheap for him.
23:29>> Well, I mean, it it already seems such a value when you consider he had 11 touchdowns in 15 games last year and
23:35he's tight end 15 by ADP. So, that just seems like a cheap easy win and you know, really good floor.
23:41Uh even if you know, there is some touchdown regression there. Um but yeah, it's it's everyone's tripping over themselves to draft Devonta Smith uh
23:50in round three and no one wants Dallas Goddard in what? Like round 12, round 15, whatever this is. Uh it's kind of
23:57crazy.
23:58I love Devonta Smith. Yeah, you know, I think he's going to be good this year. I think he's he's he's not like an alpha wide
24:04receiver one to me. Uh you know, even if he ends up getting that target volume, he's someone who he's one of the most
24:10press sensitive wide receivers in football. Uh like his yards per route run last year without press, he was like what? Top 15. With press, he was bottom
24:19seven. And uh that's something, you know, the the size, skinny Batman, is a little too skinny. That's a real thing.
24:26Like BMI is like one of our is more predictive than like any event a wide receiver is running at the combine. He
24:33struggles against bigger physical cornerbacks who can like push him off of his his routes, get him to the boundary.
24:40Um And so, you look at the numbers. Yeah, everyone wants to draft Devonta Smith, no A.J. Brown, but you look at the
24:46numbers, uh fantasy points per game in games without uh A.J. Brown, Dallas Goddard outproduces Devonta Smith. Uh we have these tweets
24:56on the screen or or we will in a second.
24:58And uh, yards per route run, too.
25:01A.J. Dallas Goedert's yards per route run without A.J. Brown is higher than DeVonta Smith's yards per route run without A.J. Brown. That's crazy. And
25:09again, there's like 12 rounds of difference in ADP between these guys, and uh, there's a lot of talk about Jalen Hurts throwing over the middle
25:17more. That's always been Dallas Goedert getting those, and the per target efficiency on those were through the roof. So, uh, you know, maybe that's another
25:27little boost for him. So, so yeah, I like this. Again, you know, amazing best ball pick if you're in best ball. Uh,
25:34for start sit, um, I mean, you could take a tight end like a a George Kittle who maybe there's some injury concerns about him. Maybe
25:41he's not full go the first month of the season, and yeah, you could do great with Dallas Goedert for the first month.
25:47And if Dallas Goedert ends up being like a key focal point of this offense without A.J. Brown, that's that's a great piece you could trade and make a
25:54little profit on.
25:55>> I think there's there's a little more upside than meets the eye with Goedert.
25:59I know that he's he's never really been a top five fantasy tight end, but I think that is kind of in his range of
26:04outcomes this year. There is split opinion on Mecole Hardman. I'm a little higher on him than maybe Brett is.
26:11Uh, but at the same time, you know, this is also a little bit of a Hardman fade because I'm with you on DeVonta Smith.
26:16We've got legitimate concerns about him being that number one alpha level target earner. You I think you or maybe the data account put out a great tweet too
26:24about how DeVonta Smith has really struggled against press coverage this season, uh, over the past couple seasons, excuse me.
26:31I think there's there's a little more than meets the eye with Dallas Goedert.
26:34I know we're talking about two old boring tight ends here, Scott, but both of these guys are very, very strong technical values. All right, you kind of
26:42teased it earlier in the show. Malik Willis looking like one of the best deep sleepers this season at the quarterback position. Scott, you look at his three
26:51games three full game starting over the last two seasons, he's averaged 58 rushing yards per game. Truly ridiculous. Like for for reference on
27:00that, Lamar Jackson and Jayden Daniels have been around 52 50 to 50 rushing yards per game over the last 5 years.
27:09You extrapolate that out, I think Willis definitely regresses regresses when it comes to that, but I mean we're talking about a true like hashtag Konami code
27:16quarterback. Shout out to Rich Reebar.
27:19The only concern, Scott, is this offense and Bobby Slowik, it could be a true nightmare with this receiver room, but I'm going to ask you,
27:29how much does that matter when you have this level of a difference maker on the ground for fantasy?
27:35>> Yeah, this this really reminds me of Justin Fields 2022. He was my exotic quarterback. He finished top five in fantasy points per game. I think maybe
27:44QB1 or QB2 in the the second half of that year. He was awful. He sucked. He was not a good NFL quarterback.
27:51That doesn't matter if you run enough. And then if you're also good at throwing the ball, and it's easier to be good throwing the ball when
27:59you're a hyper mobile quarterback, you see softer coverage, a lesser form of pressure, uh you're you break fantasy. And we saw
28:08that, you know, Lamar Jackson 2019.
28:11And I yeah, Malik Willis, you know, massive upside as a runner, uh uh leads all quarterbacks in fantasy
28:21points per dropback by a mile. You look at, you know, his games with the the Packers, it came out to like 23.2 fantasy points per four
28:31quarters, 23.6 fantasy points per start, uh something like 70 rushing yards per start. And there's just a ton of upside there where it's like, okay, the
28:43Dolphins suck. Like, okay, he'll he'll just run more, you know? And uh And so I I see a really high floor and
28:51and a really high ceiling and just like insane value from Malik Willis at this cost. I think he's I think he's It feels
28:58almost impossible for to me for him not to be a fantasy QB1. He's being drafted well below that and there's like
29:05legitimate easy top three overall QB1 upside even if he stinks.
29:11>> Yeah. I I'm with you on the upside.
29:14>> maybe he doesn't stink. Brett Whitefield loved it. Brett Whitefield had a round one grade on him and like I I was talking to him recently. He was
29:22like Brett was like I yeah, I liked him as a prospect more than Jackson Dart, more than Tyler Shough, more than Cam Ward.
29:28Uh and so you know, maybe there's real talent here because like the price is is like he runs half as often as we've
29:35seen and he stinks and I just don't see that being the case.
29:40>> I I'm with you on the ceiling. He has a top five ceiling. I think we're a little bit different on the floor because one,
29:47Bobby Slowik to Matt from Matt LaFleur is just like it's just a gigantic chasm of downgrade.
29:55Uh you know, LaFleur he's always had a very strong in terms of efficiency his quarterback. Yeah, either it's Love, it's it's Willis. But
30:03both things can be true. The tape did look great. Brett does make excellent points on Willis. Uh I think the main
30:08thing is just the main thing though, man. It's just it's this rushing upside.
30:11It's it's just it's humongous. I mean even in games where he like came in for an injured Jordan Love, he was putting
30:17up like 40 to 50 rushing yards in a couple quarters. Willis definitely has huge huge upside in the late rounds.
30:25Scott, this was an awesome show.
30:27Quarterbacks and tight end deep sleeper.
30:30We've got two old tight ends in between some some fun running quarterbacks and a nice technical value in Baker Mayfield.
