Blake Corum

PositiveValue22:32

Zero RB target going RB36 FFPC, RB35 Sleeper in the ninth round; the source views this as a worthwhile target at cost because he projects as a top 15 running back if Kyren Williams misses time (instantly top-five RB), but likely finishes outside the top 45-50 in a 65-35 or 60-40 split scenario. Corum was second in explosive run rate among running backs with 50+ carries last year, behind only Tank Bigsby; he had 145 carries versus Bigsby's 63. Kyren Williams' red zone snap share has declined significantly (63% in year 1, 65% in year 2, 38% in year 3), signaling potential opportunity for Corum. Corum earned more work last season and impressed the Rams coaching staff; he and Kyren Williams rotate every series with Williams starting each half and Corum coming in on the second series. Corum has not yet cracked into Williams' passing-game work or four-minute/hurry-up offense situations, but he is an ascending player with a path to take more work from Williams. If Williams goes down, Corum would be top-six to top-eight at the position for the duration of Williams' absence, immediately becoming the most coveted player off the waiver wire and an RB1 starter.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

PositiveProjection2:42

The source's bold take is that Bowers, available at the end of the second round, could be the TE1 by 3–4 points per game in a Travis Kelce-like fashion, making him a key differentiator in zero RB builds. Positioned as a viable alternative to traditional early-round running back selection in zero RB strategies, offering tight end upside as a flex play.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

NegativeInjury30:04

Major questions surround Irving's health status heading into the season. Irving dealt with a significant shoulder injury last season that required offseason surgery and appeared to have mental health impacts as he struggled with his first major career injury; while he claims readiness for training camp, there are questions about whether he'll return to his rookie form. The Buccaneers signed Kenneth Gainwell as insurance, signaling concern about Irving's durability. Among 50+ RBs with 50+ under-center runs in 2025, Irving ranked 10th in yards per carry and 2nd best in explosive run rate, suggesting he may benefit if Sean Payton emphasizes under-center running.

Insight page

Courtland Sutton

NegativeRole38:04

Courtland Sutton is mentioned as a potential beneficiary of Davis Webb taking over as play caller in Denver. The expectation is that Webb will move at a faster pace and reduce heavy rotations at wide receiver compared to Sean Payton's previous approach, which could mean Sutton stays on the field more consistently rather than being rotated out on random plays.

Insight page

David Montgomery

PositiveValue4:18

The source explicitly states 'we love a David Montgomery in the fourth round,' indicating strong preference for the running back at that draft cost. Positioned as a viable fourth-round target even within zero RB frameworks, suggesting he offers better value than other available running backs at that stage.

Insight page

Dylan Sampson

PositiveSleeper6:46

Late-round zero RB target with clear pass-down role and handcuff value. Highly efficient as a receiver last season: 33 of 40 targets, 8+ yards per reception, 2 TDs, despite poor rushing production (175 yards, 2.7 YPC). With Jerome Ford off the roster and Quinshon Judkins' injury recovery uncertain, Samson could see expanded three-down upside and potentially 40–50 targets if Shedeur Sanders starts for Cleveland, as Sanders is one of the most check-down reliant quarterbacks in recent years. If ground game improves and receiving work stays consistent, could contribute to fantasy teams.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

NegativeInjury33:50

Dobbins presents a low-upside pick due to a pattern of four brutal lower-body injuries over recent seasons (blown-out knee, Achilles tear, sprained knee), creating injury recurrence risk. He doesn't play on passing downs, limiting his fantasy ceiling despite being only 27-28 years old. Among 50+ RBs with 50+ under-center runs in 2025, Dobbins ranked 10th in yards per carry and 2nd best in explosive run rate, suggesting he may benefit if Sean Payton emphasizes under-center running; however, injury history and role limitations make him the lowest upside play in the Broncos backfield for the long run.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

NegativeRole38:04

Under new play-caller Davis Webb, there is concern that Waddle's route share could drop significantly (potentially to 70%) due to faster-paced play-calling and fewer wide receiver rotations. While there is talk that Webb will move at a faster pace and reduce heavy rotations compared to Sean Payton's previous approach, which could keep Waddle on the field more consistently, the source's main fear is that Waddle runs a 70% route share, which would be brutal given the draft capital invested in him despite his talent.

Insight page

Jaylen Warren

PositiveValue40:00

Jaylen Warren (RB27 ADP) is positioned for a significant uptick in passing-down work following Ken Gainwell's departure. He averaged 2.0 yards per route run last season, tying Bejian Robinson as the most efficient passing-down running back and outperforming Christian McCaffrey and Jir Gibbs. In PPR leagues, Warren's higher-value touch role (targets over carries) makes him preferable to Rico Dowel despite going a half-round later. The source likes him at ADP.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

PositiveValue4:00

The source explicitly states 'I don't love this year at his ADP,' indicating the running back is overvalued at current draft cost. Positioned as a reach target that the source avoids in zero RB scenarios despite being available in the second-round running back pocket.

Insight page

Josh Allen

PositiveValue5:47

The source recommends targeting Josh Allen heavily in zero RB builds because he has been routinely the QB1 or QB2 in recent seasons and can provide a 3–4 point per game advantage over QB2/QB3, which meaningfully helps offset running back production loss in the strategy.

Insight page

Kenneth Gainwell

PositiveValue31:40

Kenneth Gainwell signed with the Buccaneers on close to $10 million guaranteed, settling around RB36 ADP, which the source calls a beautiful price. He's a reliable pass-game back who earns reps everywhere he goes and will have low-end flex value in PPR leagues, with potential for low-end to mid-range RB2 upside if Bucky Irving misses time. The Buccaneers' investment signals confidence in his role and insurance against Irving's injury history.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

NegativeBust25:40

The source is completely out on Williams despite RB15-RB16 ADP, citing declining goal-line role (53% inside the five in year 2 to 38% in year 3 vs. Blake Corum's ascent), minimal passing-game work in Sean McVay's scheme (which historically avoids checkdowns to RBs), and lack of explosiveness limiting touchdown upside. His 13 touchdowns last year were touchdown-dependent; without closer proximity to the goal line, scoring will regress. The source calls him a glaring fade and potentially the most overvalued player in the third round.

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

PositiveValue5:47

The source recommends targeting Lamar Jackson heavily in zero RB builds alongside Josh Allen to capture the 3–4 point per game advantage elite quarterbacks provide over mid-tier options, which is critical for offsetting running back production loss.

Insight page

Quinshon Judkins

NegativeBust7:31

The source has been avoiding Judkins due to multiple concerns: leg injury (similar to recent Pacheco and Pard comebacks that were concerning), low team win total (4.5–5.5), and Miles Garrett trade weakening Cleveland's defense. Todd Monkin will likely view him as a Derrick Henry-type workhorse with heavy carries, but the team context and injury recovery risk make him a fade. Injury recovery status is uncertain, which creates opportunity for Dylan Samson to see expanded three-down usage.

Insight page

RJ Harvey

PositiveSleeper33:54

RJ Harvey led all running backs in XFP per route run last season according to Fantasy Points data and is the clear player positioned to play in Broncos passing-down situations. The source notes Harvey goes in the 8th-9th round (RB26 on Sleeper, RB34-RB35 on sharper platforms like FFPC/Underdog) and could take a huge step forward in his second season, though he struggled as a rookie with vision and grasping the offense. The source prefers Harvey at RB34 or later pricing over RB26. Davis Webb's faster-paced play-calling scheme should reduce heavy rotations and keep running backs on the field more consistently, giving Harvey a better chance to produce and capitalize on backfield opportunity.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

NegativeRole11:56

The source expects Saquon Barkley to remain the primary Eagles back in 2025 and not be taken off the field more than last season, despite his efficiency struggles when the offensive line and scheme struggled in 2024. His efficiency metrics were significantly worse than in 2023, but the team is unlikely to reduce his workload. Tank Bigsby may earn additional role opportunities given the Eagles invested draft capital to acquire him, but Barkley is not expected to lose significant volume.

Insight page

Tank Bigsby

PositiveSleeper11:38

The source's top handcuff target in the Eagles backfield with elite efficiency metrics: 23.6% explosive run rate (led all 65 RBs with 50+ carries), 3.3 yards after contact, 2.57 yards before contact, and fourth-lowest stuffed rate. Over the last two seasons among RBs with 200+ carries, Bigsby leads all backs in yards after contact. The Eagles made no running back additions this offseason (only brought back Will Shipley and Damen Pierce as depth), so Bigsby is the clear contingent upside play if Saquon Barkley misses time. If Barkley gets injured, Bigsby could rank in the top 12-16 weekly and potentially push RB1 numbers. Has very little standalone value but massive contingent upside; makes sense as late-round RB4/RB5 in team builds.

Insight page

Tyrone Tracy

PositiveSleeper16:03

The source's second-strongest handcuff conviction with similar upside to Tank Bigsby but on a worse offensive situation (Giants with low implied win total and Matt Nair at QB). Tracy has been pushed deep in ADP at RB48 across the industry, creating value as a handcuff with standalone upside potential. He has standalone value as a contingent upside play in the Giants backfield; he's ranked RB45 on Underdog and RB44 in sharper formats like FFPC, suggesting professional drafters see value in his role. His baseline production is strong: 1,600 rushing yards, 7 rushing touchdowns, 74 receptions, and 3 receiving touchdowns over two NFL seasons; he's been a solid RB2 when given the starting job and has posted 1,000 yards from scrimmage in back-to-back seasons. Tracy has receiving upside and will likely play a bigger role than most expect in the Giants backfield; he has passing-game chops as a former receiver and ranks top 20 in yards per route run on pass-down situations. The source believes Tracy can handle the pass-game work that Scataboo would leave behind and has standalone value in best-ball formats.

0:12Fantasy Football Daily is back. We are here and we are ready to talk zero running back targets. I've got my guys
0:21Joe Dolan who's the managing editor here at Fantasy Points and our resident betting and fantasy expert Mr. Tom Bradley going to be walking through some
0:29zero RB targets for us today. We got 10 zero running back targets. And guys, zero running back has pretty much fallen
0:36completely out of vogue. We're here to kind of bring it back, give it a little bit of life. Traditionally, zero running
0:41back types of builds are where you take no running backs through your first five rounds. Then you kind of start thinking,
0:48okay, I got I got to find some floors and some ceiling. That's what we're going to be doing. And we're going to be
0:52looking at some players that you can use immediately to start the season and some players that have some upside late in
0:58the year, some back weighted projection to get you going for your zero running back teams this year. I think in general, guys, like you're being you're
1:07not you're not going to be forced into many zero running back builds this year.
1:10I think in general, you can find pretty good running back talent through the first four rounds of drafts, Joe. But, you know, this is this is one of the the
1:19strategies that was extremely popular and it worked extremely well in the early 2020s now with, you know, running just becoming so much, you know, I don't
1:28know, it's just gotten so much better.
1:30Uh, running backs have gotten so much better. Uh, run games have become more invogue. We're we're seeing more volume go to the run games than ever because of
1:37the way defenses are playing.
1:39>> Uh, and it's also, this is something Ryan Heath has talked about here at Fantasy Points. You know, running backs have just stayed healthy, receivers
1:45haven't. So, it's really kind of hurt these some of these zero RB teams.
1:49>> Have you done any Joe? Have you done any zero RB teams? You you've always been a pretty good zero RB draft.
1:54>> Yeah. Um, and it kicked my ass last year quite frankly doing that [laughter] like um it's um obviously the trends in the
2:01NFL. Um, and Ryan Ryan did such a great breakdown and I know everybody here is familiar with Ryan's work, but he's kind
2:07of he's kind of talk about the success of running backs in fantasy football and going like early round running back the
2:14last couple years is multiffold, right?
2:16It's yes, running backs are staying like unusually healthy, but also team personnel usage 12 13 personnel has gone up. So, it's it's like a combination of
2:28three things. The running back staying healthy, uh offensive personnel going towards heavier sets, which obviously favors the run game. You that's that's
2:37basics, right? More tight ends, more big bodies on the field, you favor the run game. And also an unusual number of
2:43quarterbacks and wide receivers missing time. So, if you think the third part of that is just a complete fluke, maybe there is an advantage to going back and
2:54targeting some of these zero RB guys and drafting wide receivers early or Brock Bowers. I know we talked on a podcast
3:01last week. So, I think this is still a worthwhile exercise to go through and and break down who some of these league
3:07winning mid to later round running backs could be.
3:10>> I agree. I agree. And even though we're probably not doing very many traditional zero running back builds this year, you're you're right. Hopefully we're
3:18going to find some really good flex plays. Uh what's up chat? Chat is popping off this morning. Nitty Nitty DJN says, "Zig when motion boy zags."
3:26Yeah, that's that's what we're looking for. Zero RB builds. You're certainly zigging while the room zags. You might be forced into one this year. There
3:33might be some rooms that you guys get into this season where running backs just go absolutely wild off the board, Tom. Yeah.
3:39>> Have you done any done any zero running back builds or No, >> not really. I'm trying to think. I think
3:44the only time it's really, you know, come up as an option is maybe when I'm picking in like that three through five
3:51range and I go with a Jamar Chase or a Puka Nua and a JSN and it comes back around and all those running backs are
4:00off the board and it's kind of down to like Drake London, Brock Bowers, George Pickkins or do I want to reach for, you
4:06know, Jeremiah Love which I don't love this year at his ADP and some of these other running backs. So that is the only
4:13time I've really considered it picking like in that, you know, pick three through five where I get one of those stud wide receivers and it comes back
4:21around to me and that big pocket of running backs in the second round are kind of gone. then I'll go another wide
4:27receiver or tight end and it just kind of builds that way and I you know don't necessarily love some of the running
4:32back options but even then I still there I think there is some like we love a David Montgomery in the fourth round or
4:39so I I really haven't done too many zero RB builds this year so far.
4:44>> Yeah, we love David Montgomery in the fourth. We did we left him off the list for this exercise. Again, we're looking
4:49at running back targets going past the fifth round. So, these are all players that are going past RB25 and pretty much
4:55every set of positional running back rankings across the industry. I think in general, zero running back works way better in PPR leagues. You just have way
5:04more wide receivers to pick from on a weekly basis. The wide receivers are generally scoring a lot closer to some of the running backs, especially in
5:11recent years. I look back at this. Lad Mani was kind of a good good example.
5:15I'm I'm not trying to hate on Lad by any means. This is just the example I pulled up. He was the wide receiver 35 last
5:20season by fantasy points per game in half PPR. He scored basically equivalent to the RB 33 in half PPR, but he was
5:27much better, much more usable in PPR leagues. It was like wide receiver 27, which was equivalent to like a, you know, high-end RB3. So, in general,
5:35receivers are going to score way more in PPR leagues, and it definitely helps.
5:39Uh, the receivers in that format kind of help you, you know, basically make up some of your loss production. Zer running back. Also, just real quick
5:47before we get started on these targets, I think something that kind of gets lost in this strategy is you should also be
5:52targeting Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson like pretty heavily in these types of builds because you're going to want that like three to four points per game. Hopefully
5:59that those two types of players provide over the field at quarterback. Josh Allen's been routinely the QB1 or QB2 in the last couple of seasons. And if he
6:08scores, you know, I don't know, three or four more points per game than the QB2 or QB3 this season, that would really,
6:15really help your roster. Joe, you mentioned Brock Bowers as a potential differencemaker, and I'm with you on that as well at the end of the second
6:21round. He one of my bold takes this year is that he could be the the tight end one by three to four points per game in
6:26a Travis Kelce like fashion. We've seen in recent seasons. So, keep that in mind. you know, the onesie positions if if you are forced to go zero running
6:35back. Yeah, it is definitely a way to go and kind of build your teams that way.
6:41Let's get started here, guys. We're going to 10 zero running back targets we're going to be walking through today.
6:46Again, all of these players are going in the sixth round or later in all drafts.
6:50Let's get started with some deeper players that are going in the deep rounds. Dylan Samson is one that kind of stood out to all of us when we were
6:56making our list. Samson is going to play on passdowns this year. Jerome Ford is off the roster. So we have a, you know,
7:02pass down avenue where he's going to kind of eat into Quinshon Judkins.
7:06Judkins has been more of, you know, was more of a two down banger last year.
7:09Hopefully he plays a little more in the pass game, but if anything were to happen to Judkins, Joe, I think Dylan
7:15Samson makes a ton of sense in the late rounds as one of the true like we know this guy's going to be the handcuff this
7:20season.
7:22>> Yeah. So here's the thing about Dylan Samson. Number one, uh do not expect him to all of a sudden go for like uh 20
7:29carries for 150 uh 50 yards and two touchdowns. He was atrocious on the ground last year. Just 175 rushing yards, 2.7 yards per carry, but he was
7:39one of the most efficient receivers at the position all season long. Uh caught 33 of 40 targets, averaged over eight yards per reception, had two touchdowns.
7:50And I want to point out that Jake Triby just put an article out on fantasypoints.com talking about uh quarterback pos uh
7:58target positional tendencies and Shadur Sanders was one of the most checked down reliant quarterbacks we have seen in recent years. So if Shadur
8:09Sanders ends up being the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns and I think he's going to get at least a handful of starts if not more. Dylan
8:17Samson, Harold Fannon, these are the types of guys that this is going to benefit. So, uh, and in the event Quinn
8:23Sean Judkins does not recover all that well from his injury, maybe there's some more, uh, three down upside. Again, we're projecting here, this guy, this
8:33guy might go undrafted in some of your home leagues, but Dylan Samson, if he gets just a little bit of improvement on
8:39the ground and that receiving work stays consistent, this is somebody who could contribute to your fantasy football team. um again going super late round.
8:48He's a teenage round guy on best baseball in in your home drafts. He's probably going undrafted or last round type of guy, but I think he's somebody
8:56who you can uh add to your roster and depending on who's the quarterback here for the Cleveland Browns. We would much
9:02prefer Sher Sanders for this. Uh could end up being somebody who catches 40 50 balls this year.
9:07>> Yeah, I I do think we've seen Todd Monkin if you look at how he's used his backfield in Baltimore the last three
9:13years. Derrick Henry, very specific role. He's been a very specific type of player, but I think Quinshaw Judkins, they're probably gonna kind of view him
9:22as their Derrick Henry guy that they're going to hand the ball off to a lot. But Dylan Samson, I I do think he could have
9:28a little bit of standalone value. This is a team that has a four and a half win total, going to be playing from behind a
9:34lot of weeks, so he could have a little bit of value. And then if something does happen to Judkins, uh Samson would
9:41certainly jump into a much bigger role.
9:43uh Rock Sanders is behind him and you know he did get some carries last year so it's not like concrete that uh you
9:52know Samson is a the true handcuff here but I do think that he's the much more talented guy and uh we'll see how Monkin
10:00wants to play it but I do think there's a an independent value you know with uh with Dylan Samson and a little bit of
10:07upside if if something does happen to Judkins or if he's not quite right off that injury as you said Dom, don't mention Rocket Sanders on the
10:15show. I remember week one, he scored that touchdown at the goal line. I had a bunch of Quinch Sean Judkins last year
10:20in like round nine, round 10 when he was kind of we didn't know if he was going to be suspended or not. [laughter]
10:25That was that was super tilting. You just reminded me of that in week one.
10:28But hey, I'm with you guys on Dylan Samson. I think he's a great zero running back target. Last year, Jerome Ford played 32% of the pass down snaps.
10:36I think that should mainly go to Samson as Judkin plays like, I don't know, 30 to 40% this season. Uh it should be a
10:42huge role for Samson in the pass game and then like we've been talking about if anything were to happen in Judkins in
10:47terms of miss time Samson would have a very very strong role. Uh I think what you hit on Tom the four and a half one
10:53team total. Yeah >> that is uh that's what's scared me off at Judkins manually scaring me.
10:59>> Big reason why I I've been basically not drafting Quinnon Judkins on top of the leg issue. We we've seen these other
11:06backs trying to come back from that injury with Pacheco and Pard in recent years. So, uh, there that's enough to scare me a little bit. And then, yeah,
11:14this win total sitting four and a half, five and a half. Uh, especially now with Miles Garrett traded away, it's a little
11:20scary for me with Judkins. So, he he's been one of those guys I've been avoiding. I'm with you. Kevin on YouTube
11:26says, "Which one of these zeros will play the hero?" Well, that's what we're here for. We're looking for zero running back targets. They're going to play the
11:32hero this season. Another one that's going super late, and this is one I talked about yesterday on our show that's coming out with Ryan Heath. I
11:38like Tank Bsby quite a lot. I think he's clearly the best handcuff running back on the board. The Eagles did absolutely
11:45nothing at the running back position this off seasonason. They brought back Will Shipley. They got Damen Pierce kind of as a dusty veteran. It's going to be
11:51all Tank Bsby if, god forbid, knock on wood, Saquon Barkley does not miss time.
11:56Tank has been pretty efficient as a runner after a really bad rookie season.
12:00Pretty much everything in his sample size has been pretty good. Uh since that that really bad rookie season, obviously Jaylen Herz would steal quite a few goal
12:08line touches. Tom, you know, still in those tush push goal line touches. But Tank Bsby is somebody I've kind of found
12:14when I'm like needing a, you know, running back four, running back five as kind of like, you know, someone that has
12:19some st, you know, very little standalone value, but has massive contingent upside. I think he makes sense on a lot of team builds, but he
12:27makes a lot of sense when you're just kind of taking a shotgun to some of these late round running backs, too.
12:32>> Yeah, I I love this pick. And if something does happen to Saquin Barkley, I do think he [clears throat] will be
12:36the guy that gets elevated. Will Shipley uh still around here, but maybe he gets some some of the role, maybe some of the
12:43passing down role, but I do think most of the work would go to Bsby. And uh he was, you know, a much smaller sample
12:49compared to Saquon Barkley last year, but uh he popped in our in our fantasy points data after the after contact up
12:57over 3.3 yards and then uh as well as before contact up at 2.57 yards before contact. Excellent numbers, not a whole
13:07lot of carries. I think that was a little bit of a complaint, Joe, in Philadelphia that maybe Bsby should have had a bigger role in this offense,
13:14especially uh with Barkley struggling last season. So, I don't think they're going to take Squan off the field more this season, but maybe Bsby earns a
13:24little bit more of a role and they certainly gave up a bunch of draft capitals to get him last year. So, uh, I
13:30think he's one of the better handcuffs that that is available and it was a guy I was targeting in my Scott Fishbowl. He
13:36was still on the board pretty late and just one of those guys that if you have like a deep bench, uh, you just stick
13:42them on on your bench and if something does happen, all of a sudden maybe you have a a guy that's a top 12 option for
13:48a given week. So, uh, I love this pick and and Joe, you you can speak to how explosive he was last year and his
13:54limited limited opportunities in Philadelphia. I mean, this is exactly what he was in in his limited opportunities. Among 65 running backs
14:03with 50 or more carries last year per fantasy points data, Tank Bsby led by far an explosive run rate, 23.6%.
14:13Number two was somebody else we're going to talk about a little bit later on the program. Uh there's a teaser at 17.8%.
14:19So that is a massive gap among running backs with 50 or more carries last year.
14:25Tank Bsby had the fourth lowest rate of being stuffed at the line of scrimmage.
14:30And that was a problem with Saquon Barkley, right? Saquon is a is obviously we know what kind of player Saquon is,
14:36but he is somebody who once he gets past the line of scrimmage is the hardest guy to tackle, but when the offensive line
14:44and the offensive scheme in general were struggling the way they were last year, Saquon was not anywhere near as efficient as he was in 2024. Tank Bsby
14:51just offered a different kind of look uh to the offense. But we know this a as we sit here. If Saigon Barkley doesn't get
14:59hurt, Tank Bsby probably is not going to do anything for fantasy football. But if he does get hurt, you know, Tank Bixby
15:05could be somebody we're starting to rank in the top top 12, top 16 on a weekly basis. And that's what this exercise is
15:12all about.
15:12>> I'm with you. If if Saquon misses time, we're going to have Chris, our guy Chris Wet is probably going to have Tank
15:18Bigsby in the top 15. He could push for RB1 numbers as well and weeks where it's like maybe we've got some more running
15:23back injuries or there's buys. Joe, just to add more fuel to your argument about Tank Bsby. I mean, over the last two
15:28seasons among running backs with 200 or more carries, there's 44 of them. Tank leads all ball carries and yards after contact, Bon Robinson is number two. I
15:37think, you know, there's a chance here that Bsby, you know, is truly one of the best like handcuff running backs we've
15:43had in the last couple of years. I said this on a show previously with Ryan, but I feel like we're always a little
15:48overconfident in our ability to to, you know, project out who actually will be the most valuable handcuff, but in this situation, I feel extremely strongly
15:57that Tank Bixby is that guy. I also feel very strongly that Tyrone Tracy is that guy. And you could squint and see a
16:03little bit of standalone upside here with this one as well. It's a lot of the same logic we used with Dylan Samson in
16:09the Browns backfield applies with Cam Scataboo. Scataboo goes in the fourth round right now across most platforms.
16:15He's been pushed up into like RB19, RB18 and ADP. Tyrone Tracy's kind of been a little bit of an afterthought here. And
16:23Joe, I'll go right back to you. I think there's a chance that Scataboo between the injury that Tom was talking about,
16:28it's a very similar injury that he had with compared to Judkins in terms of just snapping his leg in half. We've
16:33seen this with with players like T, you know, uh Tony Pard, we saw it with Chris Chris Godwin last year. It just takes
16:39these guys time to get back healthy. And we've got some major offensive concerns here. I mean, this Giants team has a
16:45pretty low implied win total. They have an offense quarter nater Matt Nai that we're not exactly too stoked on. Uh Tyrone Tracy's been pushed back in ADP
16:55pretty deep. He goes like RB48 across the industry right now. I'm I'm seeing kind of similar upside with with Tracy just on a worse offense compared to Tank
17:04Bsby.
17:06>> Yeah. And um that I think he's kind of like the better version of Dylan Samson, right? Um first of all, Scataboo.
17:13>> I mean, >> stop doing backflick, man.
17:16>> I I I saw a comment on Twitter's words.
17:19>> This guy they said this guy makes Grank look like an astrophysicist.
17:24Somebody said like I I I truly firmly believe I I kind of jokingly this off seasonason said Cam Scataboo is like a lobster. He doesn't
17:34have a brain, but he has an or nor can he feel pain, but he has a nervous system that keeps him alive. Um, I'm
17:41actually convinced that that's like real. Like the the guy is dumb. And and I I mean I think if I'm looking from a
17:48fantasy football perspective, maybe I'm just happy that the guy's an idiot and doesn't care about his body um because it means he's going to play.
17:55Nonetheless, eventually he could end up getting hurt like he did last year. And look at Tyrone Tracy. This is a guy who
18:01if you look at the just the baseline numbers, folks, I mean, he's got 1,600 rushing yards, seven rushing touchdowns.
18:08He's got 74 receptions, three receiving touchdowns in two seasons in the NFL.
18:13That's nothing to sniff at. He's been a good NFL player. And I guess he doesn't have the frame that like Cam Scataboo
18:20has if you want to if you want to like really run the ball the way that I'm sure John Harbaugh would like to run the
18:26ball and the way you probably need to when Jackson darts at quarterback. But Tyron Tracy is an accomplished NFL player. This is somebody who has put up
18:33numbers. He did it last year. Um, unfortunately, you wonder about the offense being enough to sustain him from a scoring perspective. Nonetheless, we know he can
18:43play. And so, if Cam Scataboo is going to decide to just jump off a building because the voices in his head tell him
18:49so, Tyrone Tracy's going to be a hot waiverwire pickup.
18:53>> He Tracy, he has the passing game chops as a former receiver. uh coming into the NFL. And you know, maybe that's kind of
19:01counted against him. Maybe he's been looked down upon, but uh if you look at the numbers in the fantasy points data,
19:08they pretty similar to what Cam Scataboo did last year. Scataboo obviously a little bit better after after contact.
19:16He, you know, he runs through some more tackles than Tyrone Tracy did. But I think Tracy can can handle the game, you
19:22know, passing game work that, uh, that, you know, Cam Scatteraboo would leave behind. They did nothing in this backfield. They had Scataboo coming back
19:30from a major injury. Tyrone Tracy is still a young back, you know, going into his third season. And the Giants, that
19:38was one of the decisions they kind of made. They didn't really do anything in free agency. could have done something in the draft and they decided not to. Uh
19:46Devin Singleary at this point is an older back. I don't think he he's he's one of these guys that might struggle
19:52just to make the roster this upcoming season with the new coaching staff. So it kind of looks to me like this is
19:58Scataboo and Tracy's backfield and Scataboo is going to get obviously most of the work, but I think Tracy's probably going to play a bigger role
20:04than than most people think next to Scataboo.
20:07>> I think there's a chance for that too, Tom. There's a little bit of standalone value here. Maybe in a way that there's
20:11not with Tank Bixby or maybe to a lesser degree than Dylan Samson. And yeah, I mean Tracy's been okay. I mean, he's
20:17been top 20 in in yards per route run on the pass down. I think that's like my main interest in him if Scaboo were to
20:23miss time. It's like I think Tracy's a pretty good receiver and he could do a lot of those things in the pass game,
20:28but he could also carve out a role here for sure. I've been taking some shots on Tracy in best ball formats. I think he
20:34makes a ton of sense there. He's RB45 over on underdog. some of sharper formats like FFPC, he's going a little earlier like RB44. I think a lot of
20:42drafters over there that have big money down right now, they're seeing it kind of the way we're seeing it where it's
20:45like there's a little bit of standalone value here. Probably not, maybe, but it's really just there's some like significant contingent upside where
20:53Tracy's been a pretty solid RB2 in fantasy football when he's got the starting job over the last couple of seasons. He was he was solid last season
21:01when when Scottoo went down and Joe Yeah. I mean, dude, he's got 1,000 yards from scrimmage in back toback seasons.
21:07Like, that might be the most underrated stat of any running back like of the last couple years. Like, it's it's not
21:12been super consistent production for sure, but like you said, >> Yeah, man. He's been he's been >> Yeah, he's been pretty good.
21:19>> Yeah, this offense just needs to be a little bit better. I mean, it's been one of the league's worst offenses this
21:24first two years. Maybe Tracy's part of that, but this offense just improves a little bit. Those those numbers could easily get better.
21:30>> Yeah. Seven and a half win total right now. I think Tom the the markets are a little little more bullish on the Giants
21:36than I am. I think this season I think this team this team is probably more of a six and a half win team total if I if
21:41I were making the mind >> look at that under.
21:43>> Yeah, that might be one to look at an under. That's that's for sure. Uh we are talking zero running back targets here
21:48with my guys Joe and Tom. If you haven't already, subscribe to Fantasy Points. We are running a nice little special right
21:55now. You can get 10% off with code fantasy. That is one word fantasy. And you can see the QR uh code on your
22:02screen right now. If you're watching us on YouTube, you can use that as well.
22:05That'll take you right to the plans page. You can use code fantasy, get yourself 10% off. John Hansen's got his draft plan coming out here pretty soon.
22:12Tom, you were just saying that the values and league winners article that we always crush on, that should be out sometime at the end of the week or maybe
22:18next week. We'll be pushing that. And I'd imagine a few of these zero running back targets that we're talking through today are going to make that list. This
22:26one is pretty obvious here. The seventh running back we're going to be talking on this zero running back target show is
22:32Blake Cororm. He's going in the ninth round pretty much across the industry right now. Cororum in in terms of just overall ADP. Uh he is going RB36 on
22:42FFPC. RB35 over on Sleeper. I think this is one where it's pretty clear like this is going to be a 6535 or maybe 6040
22:51split over you know this season. But man, Joe, if if Kairen Williams misses time, Blake Corm could be a total league
22:58winner. I I I feel pretty strongly about that. The role is going to be amazing.
23:01Think whatever you think about these backs as players in terms of talent. I mean, the role would be amazing for Cororm.
23:07>> Yeah. So, uh this one is this one is just the most obvious, the zero running back target with somebody who probably
23:13instantly becomes a top five rest of season running back if Ken Williams misses time. He is the player I was alluding to earlier. He is the he was
23:20second in explosive run rate um behind Tank Bsby among running backs with 50 or more carries last year. And Blake Cororm
23:27more than doubled up Tank Bsby in carries. He had 145. Tank Bsby had just uh 63. Um meanwhile, uh we're seeing
23:37Kairen Williams snapshare go down in the key area, the red zone. This is from Jacob Gibbs, who obviously is a friend
23:45of the site and uses fantasy points data. weaponizes fantasy points data.
23:49Um, Kairen Williams, percentage of plays inside the 10yd line in the last 3 years, 63% 65%
23:5838%. Is that signal or is that noise?
24:02Whatever the case, um Blake Horm, if this offense is as good as we think it can be, and his snap share remains con
24:10even just consistent with last year, 60 65 35 somewhere like that, he might have standalone value in certain weeks if guys are injured, guys are off by bye.
24:20But the ultimately you're picking Blake Cororm in the event that Kiron Williams misses time because instantly he is a top five running back. That is the name
24:29of zero RB. That is exactly what Sean Seagull wrote about all those years ago when he was talking about zero RB. The
24:36kind of guys who Blake Corm is probably probably going to finish as like a top 15 running back or outside like the top
24:454550 at running back, but you're trying to bet on the Blake Corm who's going to finish inside the top 15 at running
24:52back. And that's why he is a worthwhile target at at cost.
24:55>> Yeah, he he earned more work last season. He was a guy that really they they were impressed with and Kairen
25:02Williams was playing fine and they decided to basically rotate them every series. Kyron Williams would start each half and then uh Blake Corm would come
25:10in on the second series and they would rotate after that and uh so if those red zone snaps went up because they would
25:17continue to let him finish out drives and led to more opportunities for him to score. So uh certainly starting to have
25:24some standalone value if you're in that Rams offense. uh you got an opportunity to score a touchdown in any given week
25:30uh with that offense. So, uh passing game, he hasn't really cracked into Kairen's work there yet, just yet. Uh Kairen still kind of has a edge on him
25:40in passing situ in those like four-minute offense type of situations, hurry up offense, but uh you know, Corm is still an ascending player here. So,
25:48there there's a path for him maybe to even take a little bit more work from Kairen Williams. So, uh, yeah, we want
25:54pieces of this Rams offense. If Kiran goes down, I I would think that Blake Corm would be top six, top eight at the
26:02position for however long the Kairen Williams would be out. So, one of these guys that you could get some standalone value wi with while while Kairen
26:11Williams is in the lineup and then if he does go down, Cororm would be a, you know, the most coveted player off the
26:17waiverwire if he's there and uh goes right into starting lineups immediately as an RB1.
26:23>> Yeah, this backfield Tom was worth basically like 20 to 21 backfield XFP per game, PPR points per game last year.
26:31So yeah, you just you give most of that to Cororum, like 80% of that. If Kairen goes down, man, we're talking about one
26:36of the most valuable assets in fantasy football. And Joe, you made a point about, you know, Kairen's kind of declining rushing share inside the five,
26:44inside the 10. And that was the final point I was going to make is this is the part of the reason I'm completely out on
26:49Kairen this year. His ADP is wild to me.
26:51I think these two should be going a lot closer. Kairen's RB16, RB15 across the industry. It's not just that, you know,
26:59Corm's kind of eaten into the the goal line work. Last year it was 53% to 38% inside the five. Tom, you made a point,
27:05too. It's like, you know, the passing down work has been all Kairen, but this is a Shawn McVey offense. He does not
27:10throw to running backs. He's historically had one of the lowest >> Stafford offense. He doesn't want to he wants to sling it down the field.
27:17>> He's he Exactly. He is not looking to check down. He's looking for Puka and Adams down the field or one of his tight
27:22ends, one of his 15 tight ends. But yeah, I just don't I don't really see a whole lot of upside with Kairen in the
27:28third round. It would take, in my opinion, a an injury to Cororum. This does work the opposite way. An injury to
27:34Cororm would really help.
27:36>> Yeah. So, uh, Kairen Williams, that's the thing. 13 touchdowns last year. He's been I I would say the most prolific
27:42touchdown score. I don't have the numbers right in front of me, but I can't imagine Joe. Yeah, it's I can't imagine there's anybody over the last
27:49three seasons who has more than the 44 touchdowns that that Kairen Williams has scored. But if that but it it's self-evident, right? If you're not
27:57playing closer to the 10 yard line, it's going to be hard to score touchdowns.
28:00And if there for all of the good things that Kairen Williams is good at, explosiveness is not really the name of
28:05his game.
28:06>> No, it is not. I've always been a Kairen Williams truther mainly because I I thought the role and just I love Shawn
28:12McVey in this Rams offense. It's it's been very good. Kairen Williams has been very good to us for in fantasy, but this
28:17is the year I'm getting out. I'm getting out of the Kairen Williams business. Uh he is a a glaring fade to me. I I don't
28:23think he's the most overvalued player in the third round. Travisian is. I think I's going to end up going in the fourth
28:28or fifth round as as ADP starts to adjust here the next couple of weeks after Kamar is brought back. So maybe
28:33Kairen will end up being the most overvalued player in this third round.
28:39player I've been warming on considerably after conversations with our guys Brett Whitefield and a number of others is Ken Gainwell. I think this is a a clear zero
28:48running back target from a number of angles, right? Like [snorts] he's got some PPR upside where he can have some standalone flex value and if Bucky
28:56Irving were to, you know, struggle or miss time, uh, he could have some some goal line touchdown upside as well. Ken
29:03Gainwell obviously is going to regress like we we cannot project the passing down spam work that he had last season.
29:09There's going to be some regression here. It was not he's not going to get 85, you know, dump off targets from
29:15Aaron Rogers this season. All that being said though, he's always played a ton in the passing uh passing game. Tom last
29:22season, you know, was the careerhigh in terms of the target share, but you know, he signs the deal with the Bucks. He's
29:28going to play in the passing game. He's come up considerably in ADP, but I don't know if there's really going to become a
29:33price point where you're kind of not feeling it with Kenny Gainwell. You know what I mean? Like he's probably cap, you
29:38know, hard capped at like round 10 ADP.
29:40And at that price where you can get him to your RB4 or RB5 even, I think it's more than fine.
29:45>> Yeah, his his price has gone up this summer, but I I don't see it creeping a whole lot higher. Uh he's kind of
29:52settled in here. At least I'm looking at Sleeper ADP. he's settled in behind Blake Cororum and uh JK Dobbins and I
29:59don't think he's going to start going, you know, ahead of those type of players. So, I think he's a fine pick
30:04right now. He was going a little viral yesterday uh doing some squats. He was uh you know, pumping out like oh 500 lb
30:11or something on, you know, on the squat on the squat rack. So, looks like he's uh you know, maybe uh getting ready for
30:17maybe a little bit more between the tackles work too if he's working on those legs so much. But, uh, yeah, we
30:24have major questions with with Bucky Irving. We did get a little news, uh, yesterday that it it he says he's going
30:30to be ready for the start of training camp, but, um, that shoulder injury really bothered him last year. Uh, needed offseason surgery. Also seemed
30:40like there might have been some, you know, mental stuff going on. He was struggling. First major injury of his career. And, uh, it took a little bit of
30:48time for him just to get over uh, that, you know, it's tough getting over an injury. anybody that's ever dealt with
30:53one, it takes a toll on you mentally.
30:55And uh so we'll see if he is, you know, back to 100% Bucky Irving that we saw as a rookie. But I think the Buccaneers
31:04were at least like a little bit concerned that he wouldn't be. And they they already had Rashad White in town and they could have easily brought him
31:12back. He settled for less than 2 million from the Commanders later in free agency. But Tampa Bay, it was the start
31:19of free agency. They went out and they got their guy. They they targeted Kenneth Gainwell. Gave him close to 10 million guaranteed. Uh that's an
31:28indication that they at least to me that they might have some questions about Bucky Irving moving forward and they want to get a you know a veteran back
31:37who you know everywhere he goes he earns reps. So you know a game well I think he's at least going to get passing game
31:44work. I do think there's at least a chance that he uh puts some pressure on Bucky Irving and then if anything
31:50happens to Bucky Irving, this this could all be Kenneth Gainwell's backfield. So, a lot of reasons to like it. As you
31:57said, Aaron Rogers isn't on this offense. It is Baker Mayfield. He's going to be more aggressive throwing the ball downfield. He's going to scramble a
32:04little bit more. So, those passing game numbers are going to go down, but I do think we could see an uptick at least in
32:09the rushing production. So, it might offset a little bit.
32:13Yeah, Kenny Gainwell is as is what I call grandma coach's pet. He just always plays more than you think he should. Um
32:19because he can block, he's good in the passing game, he's a hard charger. Um now we saw that a couple years ago in
32:25Philadelphia, the year before they got Squan, the limitations of that, like he probably played a little bit too much.
32:31Um but then you saw him when Saquon came in, he was still the hurry up back for Philly. He earned them tough yards and
32:38then of course he was the Steelers team MVP last year. Uh, this has been an easy click for me. Um, as long as he doesn't
32:44get um a little bit too expensive, which like I think Tom said, he's kind of leveled out around RB36, that's a
32:50beautiful price to pay for this player.
32:52I agree fully. Yeah, Rashad White over the last three seasons has 155 receptions very, very quietly. And yeah, sure. Yeah, Aaron Rogers has like a 22
33:02or 23% target rate to his running backs, but Baker's not been too bad. It's been like 19%. take Mike Evans out of this
33:08offense. They might try to rely just a little bit more on Gainwell's passcatching ability. Uh in PPR leagues, I'm looking at Gainwell as like this
33:15guy's going to have some low-end flex value for most weeks. And then yeah, I mean, if if Bucky were to miss time,
33:20then we'd be talking about potentially a low-end RB2 for fantasy, maybe even mid-range RB2 if this offense is a little better than we expect this coming
33:30season. Ken Gainwell definitely has come up in price. I think he's up about a round and a half since May 1st when I
33:36pulled the data a couple weeks ago. But yeah, Tom, you make a good point. I think he's pretty much hardcapped right
33:41there. All right, we're going to be getting into the top five zero running back targets now that we're looking at in the mid to late rounds. Someone in
33:50this backfield for the Broncos is going to break out. I will fully admit I have no idea who it's going to be. I really
33:56don't. I I don't feel super strongly about any of these players. I feel strongly that, you know, JK Dobbins is probably like the lowest upside play
34:03here for the long run because just he doesn't play in the passing downs and he's had such a long injury history. But
34:10I I kind of think RJ Harvey might have the most just like pure upside last season. He led all running backs in XFP
34:16per route run according to fantasy points data. And it's kind of just like I guess I'm just thinking of this as
34:22like the most like simplistic way possible. Joe, the Broncos running backs have been a printfest for receptions for the last three seasons. They've been top
34:29seven in running back receptions in three straight years. Harvey's the clear player who's going to play in those situations and he goes in the eighth or
34:37ninth round. He certainly could take a huge step forward in his second season.
34:41I'll fully admit I loved Harvey coming out. I thought he really struggled as a rookie. There was a lot of a lot of
34:46yards he left on the field last year.
34:48Just struggled with vision at times, struggled with, you know, basically just grasping the offense. But let's not forget he was a converted quarterback.
34:55So, this is his, you know, fourth year basically playing running back his entire life. He's an older rookie as well or older player. Uh, the pass down
35:03role is the main one for me. If Harvey gets most of that, then there's going to be a decent flex player here and where
35:09he's going in drafts in like the eighth round is like RB 30ish in ADP. Uh, you know, he he could pay off that cost. But
35:17I'm looking at him with as a player who has some upside for sure. There's a big spread on his ADP though, Joe. He goes
35:23like RB26 on Sleeper. He's like RB35 on some sharper platforms like FFPC and underdog. Joe, how are you drafting this Broncos backfield?
35:32>> Well, let me tell you, if it's RB26, I will not be drafting RJ Harvey just just flat out. If that's if that's the cost,
35:38I will not be in on him. Um, just because I look, first of all, he did struggle last year as a runner. Now, I'm
35:44not going to write him off just because of that. Like you mentioned, the passing game work was excellent uh when he got
35:48the opportunity, but there's another uh kind of um gristle in the tooth here.
35:54It's the Tyler Bedet is still on this roster and he played in hurry up situations. Yeah. Well, he's not.
36:01>> Sean Payne could help himself, Joe.
36:02>> Yeah, Bedet. Bedet was a pain in the ass. Although Beday are typically nice on the ass, Tom. I think you can uh I
36:08think you can attest to that. Oh, absolutely. So, uh but um here's the thing with R.J. Harvey. You know, I >> earlier this offseason, Shawn Payeyton
36:17mentioned that he wants to run under center. when we want to run it under center and control a game. We've been
36:22able to do it a few times, but not as much as I'd like. That'll be one of the points of emphasis that I think that we
36:28research and look into heavily, running it under center. I think this is interesting to point out that among 50 running backs with 50 or more under
36:35center runs in 2025. RJ Harvey was fifth worst in yards per carry and 10th worst in explosive run rate, JK Dobbins was
36:4310th in yards per carry and second best in explosive run rate. So, if that's what they want to do, but the track
36:49record suggests JK Dobbins is going to do that. But like I can't shake the fact that ultimately Shawn Peyton does get
36:56production out of his running backs. The problem to me is it looks like four might make the roster. Obviously, they drafted Jonah Coleman as well. Um, this
37:04is a battle that I am going to be following like crazy in training camp, but if R.J. Harvey is going to be RB26.
37:11Somebody else is going to be drafting him. Even though I acknowledge that there is a chance that he outperforms that ADP.
37:17>> Yeah, I'd much rather if he falls as you were saying in I think it's FFPC you were saying he's more like the RB34. Uh
37:24that is much more acceptable acceptable to me especially if we're looking at this from the zero RB standpoint. Uh we've been making the point like if
37:33somebody gets hurt, if somebody gets hurt, well we have JK Dobbins ahead of RJ [laughter] Harvey. It's just a matter of when will JK Dobbins get hurt this
37:41season. Uh I actually feel bad for him.
37:43His injury last year was more of the fluke variety. It was the one of those hip drop tackles that uh that that kind
37:50of ruined his season. But uh so if we're looking at it just from that perspective, then Harvey might be a guy
37:56that we want to target. And uh I do think there's also at least a little bit of a chance that maybe we don't see the
38:04heavy rotations in Denver like we've seen the the first couple of years under Shawn Peyton because they're moving to Davis Webb as the play caller and
38:13there's been a lot of talk that hey he's going to move at a faster pace. we're going to get they're going to get more
38:18plays off and that you know a lot of that would come down to less rotations at wide receiver, less rotations at
38:24running back, keeping the Jaylen Waddles and Courtland Suttons on the field, keeping your running backs on the field and not having Tyler Bedet come out on a
38:32random second down for for a play. So, uh maybe with Davis Webb calling plays, maybe the backfield is a little bit more
38:40condensed and gives RJ Harvey a better chance of coming through.
38:44>> That's a great point, Tom. And it would really help the receivers too. I that's like my main fear with Jaylen Wadd this
38:50year is like I I love Wadd, but what if he runs >> destroy Franklin and Mims and [laughter] >> like what if he runs like a 70% route
38:57share? Like that would be so brutal to give up all those picks. That's a great point though and it's one it's one to
39:02consider for this backfield. I guess I'm just looking at it from this perspective of like you said like it's a matter of
39:07when not if JK Dobbins misses some time.
39:10Uh we got a comment from chat though.
39:12Hershey Forever says, "You guys haven't seen JK Peptides yet." Which is that's a great one. Mr. Mr. Peptides, maybe maybe he's on the peptide kick and he's uh
39:20he's trying to stay healthy this year.
39:22To be fair, like you said, Tom, the injury last year was hard luck. This is just a player with four really brutal
39:28lower body injuries over the last couple of seasons. I mean, it's not just the blown out knee. He had, you know, the
39:33Achilles tear. He's sprained his knee at this point. Like, there's a chance that he's he loses a step this season. uh
39:40even though he is very very young still.
39:42I believe he's only going to be 27 or 28 this year. Uh I just see Dobbins as like just a low upside pick simply because
39:48he's not going to play on the passing downs. And Joe, to your point, you know, they they could they could play the the
39:53bedet the bedet card one more time. Uh we would all hate it in fantasy football. We hate split backfields in fantasy football because it makes the
40:01projection incredibly freaking hard. And these next two back fields are two of the most, you know, I guess like just they're tough to get through really.
40:11Honestly, I I really haven't made my mind up just yet on how I'm approaching both of these backfields. Let's talk Steelers, running backs. If you're doing
40:19a zero running back build, I think both of these next backfields that we're going to be talking about are two that
40:24you're going to have to keep in the back of your mind. Uh Joe Jaylen Warren is is due for a big uptick in his passing down
40:31work. This is something I think Tom mentioned earlier this off season just saying like, "Hey, Ken Gainwell is gone.
40:36The only player on this roster that can take over any of this work is Jaylen Warren." And Jaylen Warren's awesome, man. Like, he's really freaking awesome.
40:45Last year, he averaged 2.0 yards per route run. Basically tied Bejian Robinson as the most efficient passing down running back. That was better than
40:53Christian McCaffrey, better than Jir Gibbs last season. And you know, now he's got to deal with Rico Dowel. I guess in PPR leagues, this is the way
41:02I'm leaning towards it. It's like, okay, you know, Rico probably leads this team in carries, but Warren might end up having the higher value touch role just
41:09because like we've talked about a million times, you know, targets are worth way more than carries in PPR formats.
41:15>> Um, the answer to me uh in this backfield is yes. I'll take both of them. Like it's just you you're like, I
41:23don't know how I'm drafting the Broncos backfield. I kind of agree with that.
41:27But like I at ADP, Jaylen Warren is RB27. RJ Harvey's RB26 right now.
41:33Sleeper PPR. I think I prefer Jaylen Warren just straight up over RJ Har. And he's going like a half a round later.
41:39Rico D's RB32. He's going in the eighth round. I like both of those guys. I I think and I think we saw last year this
41:47Steeler offense. Um I understand it's a new coach. That's obviously a big part of it, but I think Mike McCarthy can get
41:55two valuable running backs out of here.
41:57He coached Rico Dowel to a thousand yard season, and Jaylen Warren is one of those guys who can get the calorie rich
42:03fantasy touches. And as you mentioned, Kenny Gainwell's not there to take those from him anymore. So, I actually like both of these guys at ADP. Um, I won't
42:11take them on the same team. That's a good way to drive yourself nuts each and every week, but at ADP, I like both of
42:16these guys on Sleeper right now. Yeah, I I think uh something you know Steelers fans and we'll be kind of watching is is
42:24Caleb Johnson alive? Does he have a pulse? Uh if he continues not to have a pulse, that makes me feel even better
42:31about selecting both Jaylen Warren and Rico D. Because if one of these guys does end up going down, I think the
42:38other back is going to see most of the work. uh if Caleb Johnson actually does show a little bit of bit of bit of a
42:44pulse in the preseason or training camp, uh maybe that dampens my enthusiasm for, you know, getting, you know, either one of these guys. But, uh I think they're
42:52both fine picks at their ADP we saw last year with Gainwell. All those targets coming from Aaron Rodgers. And I I just
43:01don't think Aaron Rogers is going to change the way he plays that much at this point. 433 years old, wants to get
43:07the ball out quick. our fantasy points data had him as the quickest time to throw last year at 2.38 seconds. So, if
43:15he's not seeing his initial read or two, it's usually going back, you know, to the back who's coming out of the back
43:21field. And I think that's going to be Jaylen Warren most of the time this year. I I do think he is flipping back
43:27to that passing down role. He kind of flipped to the the future runner role uh last season with Gainwell. uh kind of
43:34took over the Naji Harris role that you know Naji previously had but he is back in that passing down role and I think
43:41that is the guy that I would give the edge to but it depends on your draft.
43:46I'm seeing like underdog drafts D is you know starting to slip like 14 16 picks behind Jaylen Warren and maybe D is the
43:54better option in that format especially with a half PPR. Uh maybe it's a little bit more slanted toward touchdowns and underdogs. So, uh, it all depends. Their
44:03prices are, you know, pretty similar here, but both have major upside if Caleb, uh, Caleb Johnson continues to be a non-factor.
44:12>> Yeah, Caleb Johnson is is not good at football. I don't think he's I don't think he's going to be a factor. I I did
44:17not like him as a prospect. Didn't surprise me that he didn't really do anything at all as a rookie last year.
44:21Then, obviously, he had that, you know, everybody's memed the kickoff return that was pretty brutal. And then he was just completely banished.
44:29>> Yeah. Yeah. He was put he was banished to the do the doghouse or as John would put it chatau bow last season. But yeah,
44:35I mean Jayen Warren man he's still I mean I think there's a lot of upside in terms of his pass role. Let's not forget
44:41he's got a 61 reception season on his resume just two years ago. That was the fifth most running back receptions. And
44:48you know with Ken Gainwell gone like we're talking about you know Rogers is going to probably target his running backs like 22 or 23% of the time again.
44:55Uh, I think there's a really solid floor here for Warren and a and a strong ceiling. I guess the thing with with
45:01Dael is like if Warren were to miss time, we've seen Rico be a full-blown bellcow. Like there's some serious contingent upside with Rico, too, in a
45:09way that I'm not sure there would be with Warren. I do think they would probably try to mix in Caleb Johnson or
45:14maybe sign somebody because Jaylen Warren's just never really been a great volume running back. I think we kind of saw that last year, Tom, to your point
45:22in that kind of maybe miscast role just a little bit for him. He's a player who has never really gone over 20 carries in
45:28his entire career. Rico can do that in his sleep. So, yeah, I Joe, I think you just you hit the nail on the head with
45:35your analysis. It's like, yeah, you just probably should be targeting the Steelers running backs in any build, but especially in zero running back builds.
45:43Um, this next backfield man is even trickier. I think with the Steelers backfield, we feel pretty good about what the roles are going to be. This
45:50Panthers backfield, I I really don't.
45:52Jonathan Brooks has caught a lot of steam. Jonathan Brooks is across the industry. The spread on his ADP is is absolutely wild. Over on FFPC, man, he's
46:04going 75 overall, RB 29 in positional ADP. NFC, which is full PPR, 90 overall, RB 32. But then on sleeper like manage
46:14leagues, he's basically free. 140 overall, RB 44. I don't think that's a real ADP. I think once people actually start drafting, he's going to come way
46:22up in ADP and probably be closer to like 90 to 100 overall.
46:27>> Tom, I'll kick it back over to you. Uh Brooks is somebody I want to believe in, and this is something that I keep coming
46:34back to. when they drafted him, Dave Canales was like really stoked on, you know, playing Brooks on passing downs, using him him in the screen game, giving
46:44him those design targets. And in fantasy, like that's that's music to our ears. You know, targets are two and a half times worth, excuse me, they're
46:51worth two and a half more times than than carries in fantasy football. But man, I you know, Chuba Huard is just
46:57seems like a immovable object at this point. you know, last year he got came back from the calf injury and immediately got his starting job back
47:04even though Rico is running well. What's your approach on this backfield? Because it feels like one that could be, you know, either one of these players could
47:13be a league winner at their price and especially if you're kind of going with a zero running back or even a hero
47:17running back build.
47:19>> Yeah, this has been a really tough backfield for me to navigate. I've been kind of avoiding Jonathan Brooks. I've been mostly doing underdog under
47:27underdog draft to this point and his ADP has been soaring there. I think he's inside the top 100 now. I've been kind
47:33of avoiding him at that cost just because I I think this is a lot of injuries to overcome in a short amount
47:40of time. He's barely played football over the last two years. Uh you know, multiple knee injuries to, you know, same knee injury with the ACL. Uh, so,
47:51you know, I have some concerns there, but uh, if his ADP, you know, where currently stands on a sleeper at 138, I I'm a little skeptical
48:01that it will. Uh, he's a guy that you have to target just because of, you know, what they haven't done in this
48:08backfield. Uh, they let Rico Dattle walk in free agency and it wasn't like, you know, Pittsburgh gave him like a boatload of money. you know, was a
48:16reasonable amount, but something the Panthers could have easily matched and kept him around. He's a he's a Carolina guy. He he probably would have stuck
48:24around, but uh he did feel, you know, shafted a little bit towards the end of last season. He was a little disgruntled
48:30that Chuba came back and kind of grabbed his role back. So, uh they do have an affinity for Chuba Hubard in that
48:37coaching staff. And uh I think he was clearly hampered by his groin injury last year. did not have any explosiveness. Uh zero 15yard runs in
48:49our our fantasy points data. Uh and only back that didn't do that last year with, you know, of all the backs that had 100
48:56or more carries. So, um so yeah, I see some, you know, upcase, you know, upside scenarios here for Jonathan Brooks if
49:04Chuba is maybe a declining player, but I also see it on the Tuba side that this is a guy that, you know, has not, you
49:11know, Jonathan Brooks has not been able to stay healthy. uh Chuba Hubard could end up grabbing most of this work if if
49:17Brooks is kind of a shell of himself. He was a second round pick, but um so this is this is going to be the backfield I'm
49:24kind of monitoring the most right there with like Jacksonville. Uh, but I just want to see how Jonathan Brooks I want
49:32to get some of these reports from reporters uh to see how he is looking in training camp because I think that could
49:38be a strong indication. If if Brooks is going to have a bigger role, then maybe I need to start backing off Chuba
49:43Hubard. If Brooks doesn't look quite right, maybe it's time to start loading up at Chuba Hubard is sixth, seventh round price.
49:51Jonathan Brooks is a player who you can't just base your evaluation on him off of how you felt about him in
49:58college. He has 12 touches for 45 yards in the NFL and he's had another knee surgery since.
50:03>> I mean, I I just don't I just don't know. Like multiple knee surgeries, you're you are completely guessing right now. That's it. The the you're guessing
50:13and maybe you guess right, but Chuba Hubard obviously he's had calf injuries the last couple of years. He was better at the end of last season. Explosiveness
50:21is not his game. I get that. But Chuba Hover is the guy I'm betting on here. Um ADP is completely part of of my
50:29evaluation. On the higher stakes platforms, I'm probably just going to have 0% Jonathan Brooks. If people are just like kind of just hoping I mean,
50:37that's what you're doing. You are hoping on Jonathan Brooks.
50:41I'm I'm with you. I I think I'm This is where my head's been all summer with this back field. Um, it's tricky because
50:48like I want to believe in Brooks in the pass down role and if he does play more in the pass down, it it definitely hurts
50:53Chuba. But let's not forget like Chuba was pretty freaking good two years ago when he wasn't hurt. He was like one of
50:59the most efficient runners in football.
51:01Okay. He doesn't have the world's best explosive run rate like you said Joe, but he was fifth best in yards after
51:07contact per attempt. Something that, you know, he has always been pretty good at, but he was also really good in terms of
51:12his miss tackles force. He was RB12 that season out of the 31. They gave him a new qualified and then Yeah, exactly.
51:18They gave him a new contract.
51:20>> Like I I that's kind of where I've been.
51:23Like I want to believe in Brooks. I want to and I keep coming back to how good Chuba was in 24. I keep coming back to
51:30Canales giving him the starting role after Rico looked so good last season.
51:34Uh I think Chuba is the guy to target here as well. But man, I mean it's hard to ignore Brooks if he does slip past
51:40that like 100 overall ADP range. I do think he's going to get steamed quite a bit. Tom, to your point, if we even get
51:46a positive beat report, like any positive beat report, that first positive beat report is going to hit like crack for Jonathan Brooks Truthers,
51:53>> uh, coming out of training camp there.
51:54So, he he is going to catch a lot of steam. If you are a believer in Brooks, this is probably maybe the last week and
52:00a half to draft him. He was fully healthy at OTAAS. We'll see what kind of involvement he has in training camp. And
52:06Tom, I'm just with you. This is the number one backfield I'm tracking in going into training camp. I feel pretty good about the Jags backfield and how
52:13that's kind of going to shake out. It's really just Chris Rodriguez's health. We feel good about the Steelers backfield and how we're projecting that out.
52:19>> Uh Broncos is just like I said, I'm just kind of throwing my hands up with that one. I truly don't know.
52:24>> We know we know Payton. He's It's going to change every week probably.
52:27>> Yeah, exactly. This this Panthers one is is one to really track because if you get it right and Chuba does end up
52:33having a huge role and he gets 70% of the snaps, like he is going to massively pay off his ADP. So, this is I mean this
52:40is why we have this this backfield in the top three here is just this there is a lot of upside here in this backfield.
52:46All right, we're going into our top two zero running back targets here on Fantasy Football Daily. If you have not already subscribe to fantasypoints.com,
52:55you are truly missing out. myself, Joe, Tom, Scott Barrett, John Hansen, Brett Whitefield, Chris Wet, all of us are spending every waking hour trying to get
53:05our projections dialed, trying to get all of our analysis dialed so you can have the best draft and best season possible. Again, use code fantasy. That
53:13is one word fantasy at checkout and get yourself 10% off any plan you choose. Top two, we're going to look at one player that's going in like the
53:2410th round right now. We're going to look at another player who's going right at the fringe of this kind of zero
53:29running back pool that we're looking at.
53:30Rashad White is RB38. He has caught a lot of steam this offseason, fellas. He is RB38 on underdog, RB35 on FFPC
53:40where people are drafting for a lot of money right now. Uh the steam is is real. I I think it makes a ton of sense.
53:47He's the only running back on this roster that has Bellcow upside. Joe uh Jakoy Krosky Merritt had a couple good games last year against some bad
53:54defenses like the Chargers and Cowboys and then really didn't do a whole lot else and we know he's not a passcatching
54:00running back. Rashad White on the other hand he is. He did sign for a small deal but I think we've done this in the past
54:06myself included. Hand up. I got Javvante Williams wrong using this type of analysis. Like Rashad White got a one-year couple million dollar deal but
54:13it's basically a prove it deal for him.
54:16I'm looking at this as like he's the only running back on this roster who has true bellcow upside and I don't think
54:21Jaka Crosky Merritt was a very good prospect and I think he really he was very inconsistent last season. Rashad White had his best season as a ball
54:29carrier. We know the passing down upside's really good in PPR leagues.
54:32It's a part of the reason why we're drafting White. But last season he was the best running back in this backfield.
54:37Beat Bucky Irving by yards after contact and missed tackles force per attempt.
54:41So, there's a chance it's not just that like, okay, he's the best patch passcatching running back on this team, Joe, but he's also might be the best
54:48early down runner.
54:50>> I'm going to push back at you just a little bit.
54:52>> Okay. Okay. Please do >> because number one, I like I love Rashad White at ADP.
54:57>> Okay.
54:57>> But I am going to I'm going to bat for my man beat here because uh I love Kron Allen. I freaking love the guy. Great
55:05football player. Uh I'm drafting both of those guys at ADP. I'm kind of skipping over Bill. And this is what scares me
55:11about this because last year I was drafting Bashel Tutin and Tank Bsby at ADP and skipping over Travis Hen, but which uh and yes, by the way folks, uh
55:21Etchen Hen, whatever you want to say, that's how he says his name. I'm going to respect his thoughts. Um uh but
55:27obviously uh Travis Hn was a much more accomplished football player than Bill, but these sandwich backfields really scare the heck out of me. Um but I am in
55:34on Rashad at ADP. He is on a cutable contract. But great point, Graham, about Javvante Williams. We we ignore Javvante Williams because he was on a cutable
55:42contract and he went nuts. Now, I think Javvante Williams is a better runner than Rashad White. And for a team that
55:47wants to run the football, a guy being a good runner is is is imperative. But at ADP, I think he is the best bet to pay
55:55off in this back field. Even though Katron Allen, who's going, guys, in your home leagues, he's not even going to get
56:02drafted. Um, but just keep an eye on camp hype because Katron Allen was a player that my guy Fran Duffy from the
56:09All City Network compared to Kairen Williams. Similarly, a non-exlosive just high football IQ, high competitiveness, three down type of of
56:19of skill set. I think that is a bullcase scenario for Kron Allen. But you're 100% right, Graham. I want to pay attention
56:26to this backfield in training camp. I want to see who's getting hyped up and um I think Rashad White is by far the
56:32best bet to do that. He is not too expensive right now, but I just can't shake after watching Kron Allen be the
56:39only freaking player at Penn State who did not disappoint this season. Um I'm rooting for that guy just quite frankly. Uh just a full bias. Full bias.
56:48Yeah, full bias.
56:49>> He's a ball player, Joe. You We've got to see him the last four years at Penn State. the guy the guy just knows how to
56:54win and definitely a guy if maybe if you don't get Rashad White real deep format just take a little flyer on Kron Allen
57:03see what happens I worry about him he might even uh not impress in camp Joe cuz he's not you know a flashy
57:09>> he's not a great athlete right >> he's not a great athlete we know Jaka Crosky Merritt last summer it was all
57:15the hype all the explosive runs and uh that he did not live up to the hype once the season started but uh I'm with you
57:21on Rashad White I mean, this this pick is uh you know, excellent here at this range. Certainly has some RB2 up.
57:37He can keep you afloat and uh you know, kind of hold down that RB2 spot. He's going to catch a lot of balls. Uh we saw
57:44that in in Tampa Bay to start his career. Got to at least 40 receptions in all four seasons. So, and that was even
57:50with him sliding a little bit into like a part-time role, uh, behind Bucky Irving the last two years. So, has put
57:56up some major numbers as a receiver always. Uh, and that that's a big reason why he's going to get a lot of playing
58:02time. Uh, next to Jaden Daniels, they want to keep him healthier. Uh, maybe they want him to scramble a little bit
58:08less. Uh, getting a good pass protector in there like Rashad White, getting some dump downs to him, his his old Arizona
58:15State teammate. Uh, I think that could uh be in the cards for him. And uh, but Graham, you're right. I I thought he did
58:21improve a little bit as a runner. He's never going to be one of these guys that is running for uh, 15 plus yards and
58:28racking up the explosive runs, but uh, up to 4.3 yards per carry the last two seasons. That offensive line in Tampa
58:35Bay was really banged up last year, too.
58:38And we saw Bucky Irving struggle behind it. Uh, Rashad White was, you know, maybe he's morphed a little bit. He knows he's not that explosive guy and
58:47he's just trying to get that extra yard or two on his runs. So, uh, yeah, I I I love Rashad White here in this range.
58:54Uh, not a sexy type of player, but he's going to catch you up, you know, two or three balls each week and maybe he can,
59:01you know, maybe push to Cory Crosky Merritt for the most for the most carries in this back field.
59:06>> Yeah, I just don't know if there's going to be a price where I'm really out RB 34 like 85 90P over on FFPC. I think that
59:12that's probably just the right price for him for this backfield. And I like your point about Jaden Daniels, too. Like maybe they do kind of tell him, "Hey,
59:19dude, you got you got to calm down a little bit. Stop taking so many hits.
59:22Dump off dump off the ball a little bit more often." Austin Eckler had a pretty decent pass down role over the last
59:28couple seasons, averaging, you know, three receptions, 30 yards per game over the last couple years. So Jay Daniels, yeah, he's never going to be an Aaron
59:34Rogers type of player where he's dumping the ball off, but uh yeah, there's there's still some pass down upside here. If you were to tell me Austin
59:40Eckler played last year, I would not have believed you. [laughter] >> There's that.
59:45>> Dude, he popped his Achilles real early last year.
59:48>> Put up some some numbers.
59:49>> I don't want to laugh at a guy for popping. So, but you know, like friend of the friend of the podcast, by the
59:55way.
59:55>> Friend of fantasy football. Yeah.
59:57>> Yeah. [laughter] Yeah. Friend of fantasy. Austin Eckler seems like a great dude. I met him and he's he seemed like genuinely such a good guy. He was
60:03on pace for like a decent role last year, too. He was getting 45 50% of the snaps. And that's kind of the role I'm
60:09thinking of for Rashad White this year.
60:10He has a better better chance at more carries than Eckler ever did. Ekler was only ever going to be like a six or
60:17seven carry kind of guy. But yeah, the pass down role should be pretty good.
60:20All right, we're getting into our final zero running back target. This is a player that Joe, I know you and I are
60:26both pretty high on. There's just a lot of upside with the Seahawks backfield.
60:30Jadarian Price is going in the sixth round. across the industry, his ADP has pretty much stagnated. He's he's RB26 on most platforms on Sleeper where the ADP
60:41is a little less sharp. He's going RB28 or RB29 80 overall ADP. So, he's a little buried over there, but I'm just
60:48looking at this from a number of different perspectives, right? Like, yeah, okay, Clint Kubak is gone. This offense is probably going to regress a
60:55little bit. You know, changing up the play caller is is certainly going to hurt. But this backfield, guys, last year was the most valuable backfield by
61:03XFP. Here at Fantasy Points Data, we look at expected fantasy points.
61:07Basically, how many fantasy points you should score based on down and distance, where you're at on the field, and you know, just it's a very volumedriven
61:14stat. This backfield was obviously just a dead split. And we were all pulling our hair out all of last year. Ken
61:19Walker and Zack Charbanet were on the flex list all of last year. But this is a backfield that had 18.1 expected
61:26fantasy points per game. Zack Charbanet needed knee surgery and he had to wait a couple of weeks. He he tore his ACL
61:33in the playoffs and he had to wait a couple weeks. He he had surgery on February 20th and this is one of the
61:39biggest storylines I'm monitoring training camp is just like what is Charbanet's true timeline because it really will affect this backfield.
61:47Emanuel Wilson and George Helani. These guys are going to play a little bit on passing downs, but we've had some positive reports. Adam Shfter is one of
61:54them who came out and said a couple weeks ago that they're going to rely heavily on Jarian Price. Joe, I am just
61:59I'm all in in the sixth round. I It's a bet against Zack Charbanet coming off a late ACL tear and on a player that okay,
62:05maybe he's not the world's best prospect, but I thought he looked fantastic as a runner last season. The big question to me is just like what is
62:12the true passing down upside here? He only caught six passes last season, but I I think sixth round is just an awesome
62:19price for a player who has a ton of upside and a ton of opportunity in this offense.
62:23>> Uh here's Mike McDonald quote this week on Jarian Price. He's going to run wide zone. He's going to run some gap. The
62:30pass game he can come alive to. Okay, so that's a good thing to hear because obviously Notre Dame was trying to win
62:36football games at the college football level. Jeremiah Love might be the best receiving back we've seen since Christian. Y so yeah, Jamir Gibbs,
62:44Saquon Barkley was obviously great too, but like I mean we're talking about an elite running back receiver, so he's going to have that role in college. But
62:50this is the one that I kind of got the willies from from Mike McDonald.
62:56He's a great special teams player as well. The kick return stuff. We'll see how it shakes out in other phases. I
63:01don't want my fantasy football running back returning kicks. I that that's not what I want. So, is he going to be their main
63:10kick returner or is he only going to be somebody who in the event that they need one, you know, they put him back there?
63:15I want to monitor that as well. But let's just look at the baseline fact, the biggest fact we can possibly look at
63:23here.
63:24>> They drafted him in the first round.
63:27>> Yep.
63:28>> Yeah.
63:28>> That's I understand. Not a great I think we're th frozen here, Graham.
63:56>> Yeah, I'm frozen.
63:58>> I can still see you.
64:00>> Okay, >> chat. I think we're uh Oh, we lost Tom.
64:05>> Yep.
64:06>> What's the Austin Powers uh bit here? I swear to God, this never happens.
64:11>> Oh, we got Tom back. Sorry, guys. Hey.
64:14Yeah. Yeah. There we go. I think we're all good now. Sorry about that, everybody. Uh having some internet issues, connection issues. Uh Joe, you
64:21were leaving.
64:21>> I think that was a Streamyard issue cuz I think all of us were down. Um >> yeah, it could be issue.
64:26>> Yeah.
64:27>> Um let me let me just get back to the point I was making. They drafted him in the first round
64:31>> and that's the simplest explanation here, right? Draft capital means a lot for all positions, but it does mean quite a bit for running back. I
64:39understand that the Rashad White uh excuse me, the Rashad Penny issue from a few years ago might scare people because it was a similar thing, right? A really
64:48good Seahawks team drafted a running back in the first round and then he got outplayed by somebody who was already on
64:53the roster. The difference in this situation right now is that there is nobody on this roster as accomplished as Chris Carson was at that point because
65:02Zach Charbanet is not going to be ready at the start of the year. I just hope Jaden Price can take the ball and run
65:08with it um when he gets his opportunity.
65:11So, Zack Charbanet doesn't have an opportunity to come in and snatch it when he returns midway through the season.
65:18>> Yeah, Charbanet, it looks like maybe early November is like the best case scenario for him. He had that surgery middle of February, late February. It
65:28was like a really delayed surgery for him even though he suffered that in the divisional round. So, there is definitely a runway here for Jadarian
65:35Price. And, you know, he's coming back from an ACL injury. There's no guarantees uh that he is going to be anywhere close to where he was uh
65:44pre-injjury. So, uh Darion Price has a real opportunity here. Manuel Wilson, guy that the Packers didn't even want to keep around. Was a restricted free
65:53agent. Uh they let him walk. Uh George Hani saw a little bit of a role last year in the postseason after the sharpet
66:00injury, but I think you most people would kind of think that passing downs maybe. Uh maybe he gets a couple carries. So I I think there is a path
66:08here for J Jadarian Price. We saw how productive this backfield was last year.
66:13A lot of rushing touchdowns were coming out of it for Zack Charbanet and and Kenneth Walker. So uh really uh it's
66:20just a question of can Jaren Price play.
66:23We haven't gotten to see a whole lot of it. uh behind Jeremiah Love at Notre Dame and maybe we'll get a little taste
66:29of him in the preeason, but small sample, he he did look great and the Seahawks evidently saw enough that they felt comfortable selecting him at the
66:40end of the first round. Uh didn't have a whole lot of draft picks, so didn't want to didn't want to wait until the the
66:46second round for, you know, whatever running backs would be available then.
66:49So, um there's a real opportunity for him and the price is right, Joe. This is it's not like we're selecting a first
66:57round running back like in the third round or the fourth round like we typically do. Uh this is a guy that's
67:03going we're putting him in this exercise. He's outside the top five rounds of a draft as a first round pick on the Super Bowl winning team.
67:11Everything kind of, you know, if you just look at it from a outside perspective, yeah, I I would want to draft that guy, but uh but he's, you
67:20know, he's a backup from Notre Dame. He doesn't have a a long track record of success. So that's why he's, you know,
67:26been pushed down a little bit on draft boards.
67:28>> I think Price is good, man. He was the third best running back in this class by miss tackles force per attempt behind
67:34only Love and Jonah Coleman. And this is one of the rare rookie running backs where you can actually kind of frontweight the projection. I was
67:41talking to Chris Wet about this. Like typically with with a lot of rookie players, both running backs and receivers, we're kind of backweing them.
67:48It's like, okay, we we kind of know the first five or six weeks that a lot of them, unless they're just a Malik
67:52Neighbors, Jamar Chase level talent, uh they typically they're we're waiting until October for these players anyway.
67:58I don't think the Seahawks are going to have that luxury. I think they're going to have to play Price a ton early in the
68:03season if they want to run the football and be a balanced offense like how they've always been. Uh I am I'm big on
68:09Jarian Price. I think he makes a lot of sense in zero running back builds where you take Price in the sixth round, you
68:14come back and you get somebody like Chuba Hubard or Jaylen Warren in the seventh round, and then you just kind of
68:18go on a string of like four or five running backs. Some of the ones that we've talked about here on this this
68:22podcast today, like maybe Brashad White, Blake Cororm, uh you can find yourself with a decent running back room that has both some floor and some ceiling. I
68:32think Price, he definitely certainly has like one of the widest range of outcomes. But Tom, that's that's the timeline I'm looking at is like
68:39Halloween at the earliest for Charbanet and then it could be November, December and that at that point, you know, Price could have a strangle hold on this
68:47backfield. So, I I think he's got a ton of upside and I love him in the sixth round of drafts. He's he's going to be
68:53somebody I'm recommending.
68:54>> Great point about frontwaiting his production, too. A lot of times when we're building these zero RB teams, we're, you know, basing it on the
69:01contingency that guys are going to get hurt or maybe this guy emerges late in the season. Uh this he's a great guy to
69:07start your zero RB build with cuz you know he's probably going to get some production early in the season and >> as you said he could maybe run away with
69:15the job and uh we can maybe hope for those injury issues or whatever with our other running back selections later in
69:22the draft.
69:23>> This has been an awesome show, Chad. You guys have been lit today. Uh Matt was saying that uh we're cooking too much.
69:29Streamyard had to freeze us up. We were just cooking way, way too much.
69:32Appreciate that, Matt. You guys have been awesome in chat today. This has been an awesome show. 10 running back, zero running back targets that we're
69:42drafting on a lot of our kind of I I know all of us kind of said we're not really drafting a whole lot of zero
69:47running back teams, but these are some targets that we're looking at, you know, past the sixth round. This these also make a ton of sense if you're going with
69:54a traditional hero running back build where you take one stud runner in the first two rounds and then just kind of
69:59wait into this pocket. A lot of these players should fit your draft builds with this guys. Great show and we will
70:07see you in the next video. And until then we'll see you at the top of the leaderboards.
