0:00Identifying early fantasy football league winners, which dark horse players could break through and crush their ADP in 2026? We're going to find out right
0:09here on School of Scott.
0:18>> That's him. That's the old chief.
0:27>> Welcome to School of Scott fantasy football podcast. Scott Barrett and Theo Gremminger back at it. And Scott, this is like a
0:35I guess a prequel, a sneak preview.
0:37We're going to do this exact same exercise right at the beginning of August, but it's May. People are drafting. The Underdog drafts are
0:44starting to fill up. All these like little contests Underdog puts out in the streets fill up really quickly. Best Ball Mania, the Puppy all filling. Our
0:52friends over at the FFPC have the 350s that continue to fill, their $125 Best Ball tournament. So, fantasy football is starting earlier and earlier, and ADP
1:01becomes locked in earlier and earlier.
1:04And today we're going to attempt to identify some players that could end up becoming league winners. And Scott, you've often talked about power law
1:14players. And I think anybody playing fantasy football can remember, certainly last year, Jaxon Smith-Njigba 2025 third-round pick, absolutely smoked it, crushed it in
1:25fantasy football, was a massive edge pick. But then if you go back in time, there's been so many. Josh Jacobs in
1:322022 when he was in Oakland had that amazing season where he fell all the way to the eighth round in NFFC, was like a
1:40fifth-sixth round pick in FFPC, very much a dead zone back, ends up challenging for the RB1 overall. Then you go back to 2021, maybe the ultimate
1:49year for finding this sort of edge pick.
1:51Cooper Kupp outscored every single quarterback, had one one best wide receiver seasons of all time, and he did so as the second highest drafted wide
1:59receiver on his team behind Robert Woods. You saw him going like the third round NFFC, fourth round FFPC. And then at the quarterback position, Scott,
2:08Patrick Mahomes 2018 smash, MVP year two, broke fantasy. And of course, you're sort of synonymous with the Lamar Jackson 2019 season where you pushed the
2:19chips in and he broke fantasy. But talk about the power law player and sort of how this is your draft philosophy in a
2:26nutshell.
2:27>> Yeah, the theme of today's show is is dark horse candidates to lead their position in fantasy points. And what I
2:35think separates me from most other fantasy analysts you listen to is, you know, my self-proclaimed magnum opus upside wins championships. It's really
2:45centered around that idea, that notion, the power law player. Like in any given season, there's really only four or five players like who really
2:55matter. But those players who really matter are like the keys to whether or not you won or lost your championship.
3:01And like that's how I think about players. I don't think the optimal approach for a drafter is to be all that
3:08concerned with the median projection or at least not as much as their potential to lead the position in fantasy points or top five if their ADP is a little bit
3:19lower. For the quarterback position, which, you know, might be my best position or at least, you know, the best track record over the years,
3:26I don't draft a quarterback if I don't think they have the potential to lead the position in fantasy points. That's the most important thing.
3:36Uh and certainly more so quarterback than the other positions.
3:39And so yeah, that's what we're doing today. That's what we're trying to be chasing in our drafts is that upside, that potential. And so if you have a
3:47player who, you know, I'll talk about this all the time, has a 10% chance of leading their position in fantasy points, but the other 90% of the time
3:57it's a wasted pick. I would rather gravitate towards that than a player with a 90% chance of slightly beating their ADP, but 0% chance of doing any
4:08better than that or or, you know, leading the position in fantasy points because at the end of the day, #upsidewinschampionships.
4:18>> Yeah, and I think a lot of podcasts right now are sort of talking about should you take Bijan Robinson or Jahmyr
4:24Gibbs as the RB1? Should you take Jamarr Chase versus Puka Nacua versus Jackson Smith-Njigba at as the wide receiver one? And I think at the end of the day,
4:32Scott, we're going to come away and say we like all of those guys, but if we're able to hit on some of these guys we're
4:37talking about today and they break through and challenge the players we just mentioned or even get within 10% of them scoring-wise, then you end up with
4:45one of those power law players. Scott, I think another thing you know, when I first heard your work, you talk about like this
4:54it's like the crutch of going for like the safe player. And it's certainly the opposite of the approach we're doing today where like the idea being that how
5:04I'm going to pass on some of these guys because this guy's got such a safe floor, that's sort of like contrarian to
5:09this entire exercise where chasing safety is like one of the I won't say worst thing, there's certainly bigger mistakes you can make,
5:18but it takes your edge away when you're trying to win. I think if you're drafting, the big takeaway from Scott is
5:24be willing to finish last to finish first. You're going to swing for the fences and chase that upside. So, talk about the the crutch of safety. I
5:32believe the the original uh player you referenced was always like the the James White PPR running back experience.
5:39>> Yeah, I mean, so what is like a low-end RB2 worth? What is the overall tight end eight in fantasy points per game worth.
5:47What is the, you know, rostering the QB9? Like that's that's like a net loser. That like that's like basically worthless because, you know, people are
5:57so in their drafts concerned with safety. It's like, "Oh, well, you know, every other team in my league has a quarterback. I'm weak at quarterback.
6:04Let me double-tap quarterback here." Uh and it that's just not the right way to think about it because you have the
6:10floor of the safety net to fall back on, you know, you it's going to catch you.
6:15There is going to be players who provide that floor through free agency, through waivers. Also, players who who have some upside, but generally not as much as the
6:25players you can draft.
6:26>> Now, when we look at offensive ecosystems and we say who's on the best offense, Chase Brown would be towards the very top at the running back
6:34position. Then we look at the the like levels he was able to step up to last year as a receiver, had 54 catches his first year in sort of
6:43like a high-volume backseat back of the season, {quote} {unquote} league winner role in 2024, but last year took another step. Goes from 54 receptions to 69
6:53receptions, and the volume has been consistently great. 229 carries in 2024, 232 in 2025, and of course the receiving
7:03work. Then you add in 11 touchdowns last year.
7:07Is Chase Brown talented enough to end up being like maybe the RB1 this year?
7:14>> Well, yeah, I I actually don't think he's talented like all that talented or all that special. Although, I will say,
7:21you know, the ability to be a bell-cow back is a skill, and it's like the most important skill for fantasy, but this
7:28really is something that we've learned over the years is that volume is the most important thing for a fantasy back.
7:34Efficiency is really not that important important. And of course, weighted opportunity targets are worth 2.7 times as much as a carry in PPR league and
7:45yeah, it's just an ideal situation. I I had a triple-check this. In the second half of the season last year, from weeks
7:548 on, Chase Brown was the overall RB3. He averaged 21.2 fantasy points per game.
8:01That was just 1.8 behind CMC. It was 1.6 behind Jahmyr Gibbs and it was ahead of Bijan Robinson. So, I love this call. I
8:11think this is a great pick. This is an elite offense.
8:15Going to be a lot of targets up for grabs, a lot of red zone drives, a lot of scoring potential.
8:22And yeah, we've we've seen it 2 years in a row, particularly in the second half.
8:27This is one of the it's like a Christian McCaffrey-lite workload and that's really the most important thing for running backs at the end of the day.
8:37>> Yeah, the the receiving work is so important for Chase Brown and the the touchdown equity. And then Scott, I think the other important thing with
8:43Chase Brown is there's no back on the roster worth worth noting. Like, you got Taj Brooks, you got Samaje Perine would
8:53be in somewhat of a split if if we were to see an injury to Chase Brown. Like, there's no one that's going to challenge
8:58him. So, I think that his running back touch share is going to be right up there with like maybe even better than
9:05Bijan Robinson and probably close to Jahmyr Gibbs. So, I'm into it. I don't want to push him into the first round,
9:11but I think if you want to start your draft out with a wide receiver, you could end up with a massive edge pick in
9:16Chase Brown. Or if you do start out with a running back, you can get a massive edge pick in inside a round two. We'll
9:22continue to monitor him all summer.
9:24Another running back who I mean, I've poured cold water on this one, Scott, and I know I've had some other people
9:30pour cold water on this one, too.
9:32But at the end of the day, Omarian Hampton is the unknown upside player right now in fantasy football, especially at the running back position.
9:40His ADP has steamed up. You're going to pay for Omarian Hampton. He's essentially a one-two turn pick on Underdog and in FFPC. I think the the
9:50thesis for him is pretty simple.
9:52He scores a ton of touchdowns for Mike McDaniel and he catches enough passes to sort of back it up. What's your general
9:59vibes right now with Omarian Hampton?
10:01Camani Vidal and Keaton Mitchell also in that backfield.
10:05Uh but Hampton had the first-round pedigree and now a major boost in in terms of offensive play calling in McDaniel.
10:11>> Yeah, we don't need to talk risk here.
10:13We don't need to talk downside. We don't need to talk that Brett kind of hated his film last year even even when he was
10:19healthy. Because you know, point of this show is is we're focused on upside and like it's easy really easy to make the
10:26upside argument here.
10:28Uh you know, I talked about this in a separate podcast. When I landed in New Jersey for a wedding a month ago, uh
10:35within 5 minutes of of landing, I placed two bets and only two bets. One was Chargers to win the Super Bowl. The
10:43other was Justin Herbert to win MVP.
10:46And I think this Mike McDaniel addition is massive, particularly for the running backs.
10:52Uh Mic Mike McDaniel's offense has easily lead the NFL in EPA per run since he came into the league. Bear in mind
11:00the running back talent he had over that stretch outside of Devonte Adams, it was almost exclusively round seven or UDFA tier running backs. I think Raheem
11:11Mostert still leads all NFL running backs all time in yards per carry. We saw, you know, one of the most efficient
11:17seasons of all time 2 years ago with Tua Tagovailoa, who I don't think is on Justin Herbert's level. Harball loves to
11:24pound the rock uh and you know, they're going to get their two all-pro tackles back. They barely played last year.
11:34Uh I think this offense goes nuts. Like you said, I think there's a ton of scoring potential. And if he's a bell
11:40cow back, and he remember you you spent a round one pick on this guy, um really the sky's the limit for him.
11:48>> Yeah, it's really interesting and I and I heard this was uh Dan Dan Schneider who podcasts with our friend Jacob
11:52Gibson. I don't know Dan, but Dan is a big film guy.
11:56>> to live in the same town together.
11:57>> Well, he he I think he's sharp and he had a really interesting take that he thinks that the the offense in LA is
12:04going to look similar to the Miami Dolphins offense in like early early Mike McDaniel, like when it was like Jaylen Waddle, Tyreek Hill, uh and then
12:12you had the multiple running backs where uh Raheem Mostert, you referenced that season where peop- we could have talked about him as like the one of the biggest
12:20steals. He had 21 rushing touchdowns that season, which is simply insane. It might have been 21 touchdowns, but he had 21 touchdowns that season. He was
12:28like a 10th round pick. And he did it the same year that Devon Achane was averaging like 18 points per game in in
12:35like a limited sample size. So, uh yeah, I think Omarian Hampton, as much as we want to like pour cold water on the
12:42enthusiasm and the hype, or at least I do, I want to kind of pump the brakes a little bit, he truly has that potential
12:48to fall in the end zone a lot and crush crush his ADP. It's volume-based, I get it, but the price tag is running back
12:5610. So, you're taking him slightly ahead of a Chase Brown. Right now, he's going off the board at 16 overall. Sometimes
13:03you see him go at the 1-2 turn in some of those FFPC drafts, and I think the steam will be there all summer long
13:10for all LA Chargers because of that.
13:12Well, let's talk about a player a little bit more towards the top of the food chain, a player who's going inside of
13:17round one. And this has been a major price correction. Uh James Cook, people are finally like, "Okay, I give up.
13:24James Cook is him. He's the one who scores every single year. He's the focal point of the Josh Allen led offense. Uh
13:30now you're paying a first round pick for him. But Scott, I've kind of had this take with you where James Cook is the
13:37one for me where if James Cook they just decide to use him as a receiver a little bit and he looks awesome with the ball
13:44in his hands as a receiver. But like there's this major disconnect between what we saw with the previous Buffalo Bills coaching staff and Cook's usage.
13:54Had 32 catches in 2024. Had 33 catches in 2025. I mean, the guy could easily catch 60 passes as an opportunistic
14:03player if they sort of phased out the Ty Johnson types in that backfield. So for me, I include him here even though we're
14:10drafting him at the turn. Like he legitimately for me could finish as the RB1 overall. Am I too hyped for him?
14:17>> No, I I think that's fair. I he reminds me of Nick Chubb and Derrick Henry who are two guys who just like continually owned me
14:25where I was like, "They're they're regression candidates. This isn't sustainable." And then like at at a certain point, you know, you get you get
14:32older, wiser, you're like, "Oh no, they're just different. They're just built different, you know?" And it seems like James Cook is like that. Another
14:40guy who I've taken some L's on over the years, but he looks incredible. Last two years with with Joe Brady, he's
14:46averaging 16 touchdowns per season. He's averaging over 5 yd per carry. He looks like legitimately one of the best running backs in football on one of the
14:57best offenses in football because they have the best quarterback in football, but they don't have good wide receivers.
15:04And you know, I don't think Ty Johnson's anything special. So I like the argument you crafted. I think, you know, like it
15:10was last year is it just a Josh Allen James Cook centric offense. And I don't know why you'd move away from that
15:17given, you know, you're you're going to be starting Keon Coleman and, you know, I I I think DJ Moore was always overrated
15:24and is now on the last legs of his career.
15:28I think that makes a lot of sense.
15:30>> Yeah, and when we look at like could this be the wrinkle that Joe Brady puts in and and Pete Carmichael also coming
15:36over, if we look at like Sean Payton offenses, they've been so synonymous with targeting running backs.
15:43I don't know, to me it just makes a lot of sense. Again, it's an opportunity costing. Let us know in the comments,
15:48are you comfortable paying a late first-round price tag for James Cook after being able to get him in like the third and fourth round in previous
15:57years. Huge, huge price correction in terms of the ADP market.
16:01We're going to talk about a couple of of younger backs now and I think when we're chasing it, year two guys are often
16:08times where we're finding like that sort of league-winning potential. Last year, JSN, of course, was a was a year three player. Go back in time a little bit to
16:17like those two quarterbacks who we referenced in the pre-show. Lamar Jackson was a year two guy during his massive breakout. Patrick Mahomes, a
16:23year a year two guy in his massive breakout. There's been so many guys that have just break out in year two.
16:28Let's talk about first Cam Skatabu, who walked away from the NFL draft as a massive winner. We were very at least I was very nervous about
16:39Cam Skatabu bags getting annihilated by a Jeremiah Love pick, but they go completely opposite. They take Orville Reese with their first first-round pick,
16:49but then it's the Francis Mauigoa, maybe the best run blocker in this entire draft class is going to play guard for
16:55them.
16:56And then they draft Malachi Fields, who's like a 6'4" 240-lb wide receiver who's one of the best blocking wide receivers in this draft class,
17:05a little later on on day two.
17:08There's a lot to like here if they lean into Cam Skatabu volume-wise. And then, Scott, he's got the early season explosion potential because Malik Davis
17:18is going to miss some time.
17:20>> Yeah, so, you know, this is a player I loved coming out of the draft. No one was higher on.
17:26And then, you know, he really shined as a rookie. As the bell cow back in the seven games, he cleared just a 50% snap
17:34share. He averaged 17.6 fantasy points per game.
17:3718 expected fantasy points per game.
17:40That's RB3 numbers. Was top three in missed tackles forced per attempt.
17:45Current RB22.
17:46But yeah, to me, you know, my comp coming out was just like he's Peyton Hillis that one year Peyton Hillis was
17:54on steroids. And so, if Peyton Hillis can finish top three in fantasy points per game, I can see Cam Akers leading the position. My big worry here
18:03is just injuries.
18:05This injury, you know, I talked to a bunch of injury experts who are like, "Listen, he's not going to be 100% at
18:10any point this season. It's probably going to be at 85% effectiveness. Maybe worse." We remember, you know, Tony Pollard had the same injury that one
18:18year. He just kind of looked awful. But I talked to injury experts again a couple of weeks ago and they're like,
18:23"Yeah, he shouldn't be, you know, all the reports being as favorable as they are, you know, maybe, you know, maybe maybe he's just like a
18:31quick fast healer or I I don't know."
18:33So, there seems to be more optimism.
18:35It's something I need to monitor. I want to, you know, I'm fairly well connected to Giants beats. I want to talk to my Giants beat,
18:43see how he looks in camp and whatnot.
18:45But yeah, I just had to keep up for my guy here. We're talking dark horse candidates.
18:50Cam Akers is RB22 by ADP.
18:53Certainly better odds to to be a a true difference maker than the ADP suggests.
18:59And a little bit ahead of Cam Akers is one of the big polarizing guys, I think, in the community right now. We're
19:07going to talk to Chris Wecht, our projections expert, from Fantasy Points in our next few shows. Look forward here if you're watching on the YouTube
19:15channel. Uh but Trayveon Henderson Fantasy Points projections are are not into Trayveon Henderson. There's some draft really sharp dynasty manager that
19:24managers I've seen that were super excited about drafting him last year that have kind of moved him away in some KG deals.
19:32I can't quit Trayveon Henderson though, Scott. I look at the irrational coaching and I'm New England and I look back at
19:39the tape of Trayveon Henderson and some of those smash weeks without Rhamondre Stevenson. I'm coming off of a Super Bowl loss. I don't have A.J. Brown yet,
19:47but how can I not unleash this sort of explosive back with the big play ability? He had 10 touchdowns last year,
19:5535 receptions and he's being a little bit left for dead. I actually think the ADP's going to trend downwards, down from like RB 20, potentially down to
20:03like the RB 23, 24 range as we move around in the summer and I think Rhamondre Stevenson's is going to trend
20:10tick up. Uh where are you at on Trayveon Henderson? Is this a if I'm drafting high volume, I want to I want to take
20:16shots on him, but I'm a little apprehensive for like the one draft guy or is this the ultimate upside wins championship bet?
20:23>> He's he's up there, man. You know, you remember Brad and I were kind of haters on him coming out or at least relative
20:28to you and how high you were on him. And I certainly get why Chris's projections, his median projection is low. It's you know, we think Vrabel
20:38likes a committee backfield. I He likes Rhamondre Stevenson, you know, and even Henderson in in college wasn't a bellcow either or at least he split the work
20:49with Quinshon Judkins in his last year.
20:51But yeah, I think you laid it out as just like what if he I mean, he's clearly more talented than Rhamondre and like what if
20:57he's just so talented that Vrabel has no choice but to give him a bellcow workload. And you know, I look at him
21:05and I I I get James Cook vibes and you know, Jamir Gibbs, you know, that was a common comp on Trayvon Henderson coming
21:12out. So, it's you know, it's a great offense to be in. If there's a Ramondre injury or just Henderson is so
21:19undeniable it forces variable's hands and he gets that bell cow workload.
21:23Yeah, absolutely he could be a league winner.
21:26>> Yeah, there's it's it's a really really interesting player right now. I think if you're a believer in Trayvon Henderson, it's a great time to trade for him in
21:32dynasty.
21:34And we're one we're going to pay attention to. I mean, there's been a circus in New England this off season so
21:38far.
21:39But Trayvon Henderson is is a player who could kind of come out of the wreckage and end up hitting it as ADP. And I
21:45would say like when we're looking at and people hate this. They hate when we use contingent upside as like a crutch. But
21:52if anything were to happen to Ramondre Stevenson, Trayvon Henderson could be like a top five scorer cuz we've already seen it. So, you get that that in there,
21:58too. With Henderson with Stevenson being on like the the closer to 30 than than than 22 range of his career.
22:06>> Let's uh keep it moving.
22:07>> just profiles as one of those like hyper efficient guy. And he average 5.1 yards per carry last year. Like even in
22:14a split backfield like I think that I think he's going to beat this ADP. And so, that's your floor and then just
22:20yeah, like we said, league winning upside should something happen.
22:24>> Looking forward to seeing Scott Barrett battle it out with Chris Wacht when we talk about that with that Trayvon Henderson. Is Chris Wacht a Trayvon
22:30Henderson hater? We're going to find out about it when we break it down with Chris. Scott, I got to say you're you're
22:34recording from a different place now than usual. Looks a little like you're getting interrogated right now. Walls nice and close to you. We're used to
22:41seeing like the couch a little bit before. What's going on? What's going on?
22:44>> Yeah, I I just moved to Austin, Texas.
22:47I'm one of the cool kids now hanging out with Joe Rogan and Elon Musk. It's it's good times.
22:53>> If you live in the Austin area, let let let Scott know some recommendations for pretty much anything. Let him know cuz
22:59he just moved. Let's let's keep it going. Let's go wide receiver. It's a shorter list, little bit shorter. Uh wide receiver we've been able to find
23:07these massive massive winners, edge picks. You know, we talked about some of those guys that finished close to the wide receiver one, if not the wide
23:14receiver one. JSN last year, Cooper Kupp 2021. Go back even a little bit further, you go to like Stefon Diggs's first year
23:22getting traded uh to Buffalo. Um and when he goes absolutely nuts his first year there for Minnesota, didn't hit wide receiver one, but he was like a top
23:30three scoring finisher. So, wide receiver we've actually been able to hit. Um but the ADP market feels like it's getting sharper and sharper year in
23:38year out. Let's talk about a couple players that I think immediately stand out as edge picks. Uh we got Drake London who's towards the top. He's wide
23:46receiver nine overall. I was pounding the table for him last year, so I'm going to sound a little bit like a
23:51broken record, but he had those multiple weeks in the season where he was like the wide receiver one on the week for
23:56like three straight weeks, then broke down injury-wise. But now you've had two straight years of Drake London with like 15-point per game averages.
24:07Really good, but not quite league winner. But when you look at the target competition at wide receiver, I would argue Zachariah Branch might be his
24:15biggest threat at at wide receiver two, and really a non sort of a gadget player. You got Kyle Pitts who was
24:22really good last year, especially when Drake London was out. And then of course, Bijan Robinson uh is awesome.
24:28But I look at this offense, I think it's going to be one of the most highly consolidated for fantasy purposes. And
24:34Drake London's going to get this massive share.
24:37If a player could end up doing what Cooper Kupp did in 2021, the cost is a little bit more, but the
24:44usage could just be sick for Drake London. Your thoughts on this one?
24:48>> Yeah, I think you nailed it. This was a player I was going to have on my list if you didn't. Um
24:54you know, we don't have to talk the downside argument because it's not that show. We don't have to bring up the
24:58Darnell Mooney splits.
25:00Um but just talking about upside, yeah.
25:03I He last year from when he was healthy, cuz he he dealt with an injury early on in the year. Uh
25:11but from weeks 4 through 11, he averaged 109 yards per game, 24.2 fantasy points per game. He hit 100 yards in five of
25:20six games. And then he got hurt again, and so did Michael Penix.
25:24Uh minimal target volume. They were trying to trade Kyle Pitts.
25:28Um yeah, I think I think not only are the odds fantastic, he's, you know, potentially leading the position in fantasy points per game. Um but he's
25:39also just feels incredibly safe to me. A player at his current ADP, uh I want to be betting on. And yeah,
25:48after a lot of, you know, sort of bipolar takes on on Drake London over the past few years, um I could actually
25:55say with conviction, yeah, I'm I'm way in on Drake London this year.
25:59>> Yeah, and I actually just pulled it up on Fantasy Points Data. Uh looking at Drake London, I misspoke. It was 16.5 points per game uh or more in
26:08for two consecutive years. And then if you pull up Fantasy Points Data, like he's up there big-time with the target share number. We had north of uh of 30%
26:17last year, which was really good. Um really strong across the board. I think that London, for me, if you're trying to
26:24chase wide receiver upside in round two, especially when we consider the George Pickens situation and how his ADP seems to have steamed up considerably from
26:34where we paid for him last year.
26:36And then Malik Malik Nabers, of course, being being banged up. Rashee Rice, I mean, we could have talked about him today. Rashee Rice is interesting, but I
26:44just think London, for me, wide receiver nine, I can start my draft at running back, and then I can go with Drake
26:50London, and I know it's gonna be something really good there and I think like going from wide receiver 9 to wide
26:55receiver 1 doable doable. Uh keeping it going with the wide receiver position, let's go a little bit deeper down. Let's go with
27:03DeVonta Smith. We're anticipating this trade to go down with A.J. Brown going to probably New England. So DeVonta Smith would obviously be the biggest
27:14beneficiary. He's all the way up to wide receiver 13 overall on Underdog. So the market is like banking in a smash season
27:23from DeVonta Smith.
27:25But maybe it's not banking in just enough of how good his season could be.
27:30You and Brett were I wouldn't say like fading but apprehensive of how Quez Watkins is going to perform as the wide
27:38receiver two there. I think early on they're going to attempt to have both wide receivers involved with Smith being in like an A.J. Brown-like target share
27:47first read look and Quez Watkins sort of trying to fill in the DeVonta Smith role. But if Quez Watkins is a little
27:52bit slower out the gate than I think that I think they could lean even more into DeVonta Smith. We've heard some of
27:58the beat reporters compare him to Jaxon Smith-Njigba and say why can't he be used like JSN last year in Seattle?
28:04You might get your shot here. Your thoughts on DeVonta Smith?
28:08>> Yeah, I like this call. I think you know this is a player um I have a ton of belief in. I think he
28:13absolutely could be a number one and and you've seen it. You've seen it when A.J.
28:17Brown goes down or is hurt or is out. Um you see DeVonta Smith turn into an absolute target hog and have a ton of
28:27success, a ton of yards after they catch on those on those targets. So yeah, I I think that's a good call. It you know,
28:33we need A.J. Brown to leave in in June but I mean what what would you put the odds at? It seems like nearly a foregone
28:40conclusion that's going to happen.
28:42>> Yeah, 80%. Smith's been I I won't say a capped upside guy but he's been he's hit 15 points per game uh
28:49twice in his career, which I think is like a measuring stick for hey, you're really really good for fantasy.
28:56What's interesting is if you go to fantasy points data, like just how dominant AJ Brown was from a usage standpoint, how this wide receiver one
29:06role for Philadelphia, it just hasn't had the target volume of some of these guys like Chase.
29:14Is there a chance Scott that like based on what they did in the draft, plus they have a new offensive coordinator, plus
29:20they've lost now in the in the playoffs in sort of disappointing fashion, could the offense just look different too and also like a little bit of unknown upside
29:27for Smith just usage-wise in this upside? Like a 30% target share in 2026 might be worth a lot more in Philadelphia than it was in 2025 or
29:382024.
29:39>> Sorry, what did you say? I tuned out. I was trying to find a good Devontes I was trying to find the Devonte Smith AJ
29:45Brown splits, but I was I was saying >> I was saying so he's worse without AJ Brown, but I don't know. Worse without
29:52AJ Brown >> I don't know. I don't fact check me on that. I think the tool is is glitching. This is like a prototype
29:59tool that Chris cooked up. I think it's I think it's just not ready yet. But can you What was the question again?
30:04>> I prefaced it that the you know, the ungodly target share, first read rate, air yard share that like AJ Brown had as the wide receiver
30:14one, like it I said in could could those sort of metrics be worth a lot more in 2026 than 2025, 2024 in Philly because
30:23of the offensive coordinator change, maybe the offense looks a little different sort of thing.
30:28>> Yeah, I absolutely. I think you know, you lose that massive target share. I think really the bulk of that goes to
30:35Devonte Smith. I don't trust the ancillary options as much and you know, it's a double-edged sword bringing this up like how run-heavy this offense is,
30:44but it's also like massively run-heavy that it's, you know, just doesn't seem sustainable, you know, so if the defense regresses a little bit, you could see,
30:54you know, in addition to skyrocketing target share, just more targets, more pass attempts in general.
31:01>> It's interesting because this the beat reporters made the JSN comp in terms of usage, and his ADP is about identical to
31:10what we're paying for JSN at this time last year. Devonta Smith's going 31 overall on Underdog, and again, he's the wide receiver 13 in ADP. Seems
31:20expensive, but I think there's a little room to run. Now, we're going to get a little fun. We're going to get a little
31:23spicy. We're going to talk Christian Watson.
31:27Christian Watson, when we spoke yesterday, he was like wide receiver 30.
31:31Now, he's up to wide receiver 29.
31:34Every show I go on, I feel like I'm hyping Christian Watson, or I have a guest hyping him up.
31:39Christian Watson, it just feels like maybe he's gotten over all of the injury concerns we had early in his career, and
31:46maybe we're going to have this like healthy Christian Watson smash season, where maybe his 2025 season looks kind of or 2026 season could end up looking a
31:57lot like the smash seasons we've seen from guys like T Higgins, guys we've seen like George Pickens, like a big outside threat gets up to the 130 target
32:06range and just goes nuts. And I think Christian Watson, like to keep it really simple, the guy could end up catching a
32:12lot of touchdowns and having a lot of big plays.
32:15>> Yeah, I you know I love Christian Watson. I would have been right there with you after his rookie season. That was one of
32:22my ride-or-die guys, and then, you know, couldn't stay healthy. Finally, it seemed like everything came together last year.
32:29Still, still though, I feel like Davante Adams is the only guy who could be a wide wide one in a Matt LaFleur offense.
32:37Um I think Watson's an insanely talented dude. I think he leads Green Bay's wide receivers in fantasy points this year, but I don't think he has that sort of
32:45upside. And if you just look at the game logs, you can see why. It's just tremendous volatility week to week beyond just, you know, how run heavy
32:55Green Bay can be in certain situations.
32:58It's also just the archetype of player, I think, where um he's more smash splash plays than a true target hog. So, um
33:08I can't get on board with this, although I I do like the player and I don't mind him at ADP.
33:13>> Yeah, I think like you kind of nailed it. Maybe it's a it's not quite couldn't break fantasy, but I think he can absolutely make his
33:21wide receiver 29 price tag look way too cheap. Could end up being a high-end wide receiver two from this range, and
33:27that's still a big ADP win. So, I'm into Watson, and I'm sure this is a play player that we're going to pit talk
33:32about a lot throughout the summer, cuz I'm kind of into him right now. Let's talk about a couple of players that you
33:37wrote down on the sheet. I I mean, this guy burned everybody last year. Scotty, are you really going to have us hear
33:43about Ladd McConkey uh hype take here?
33:47>> I mean, this just follows up with my Justin Herbert MVP Chargers win Super Bowl bet. Who's the most talented receiver on this team? It's clearly Ladd
33:56McConkey.
33:57Uh they were at last year, Harbaugh was talking up Quinton Johnston as like, you know, the next Randy Moss. And then this
34:04year during draft night, they asked him if they're going to pick up his fifth-year option, and they're like, "Yeah, I don't
34:10know.
34:11We'll we'll figure it out." They did, but, you know, certainly doesn't seem as as high on QJ, uh who is who is the opposite of an ass
34:20god. He's he's bottom five in ass uh over the last 3 years, over the last 2 years.
34:25Um and so, love Ladd McConkey, who had a historically great rookie season by yards per route run, which is super predictive. It it just
34:35a disappointing year last year, but um you know, a Mike McDaniel offense, I don't think they bring Keenan Allen back, but maybe just a player I think is
34:46really talented. Ryan Heath could make a better argument than I can, and he did to his next article, which you guys need
34:53to read, but he he put it on wax. He says Ladd McConkey is this year's JSN, and he really sold me on it.
35:02>> Make sure you go read all of Ryan's articles over at fantasypoints.com.
35:06Some great great stuff. Also, you're going to get access to all my articles, Scott Barrett's articles, and Scott has some big appointment articles that come
35:13out uh throughout the summer that you're not going to want to miss. Uh check it out over at fantasypoints.com.
35:20Um Ladd McConkey, I mean, I get it. I I get it. Um I I sort of I'm like really soured to him. I still have my dynasty
35:28bags packed. Uh for me, it's like so bad down the stretch, but I think that there is uh just a simplistic argument for him
35:37is Keenan Allen's gone, and we saw just how Justin Herbert would lean in for now. For now, do you do you think that
35:44could be could end up coming back to LA?
35:47>> Apparently, he only wants to play in Los Angeles, and like last year he showed to me he still got it. And like that was
35:54the perfect role for him is like a 40 to 60% snap share week to week, but like when he was on the field and it was a
36:01passing play, he commanded a 20 to 25% target share just as he had every year he stayed healthy. And you with with a
36:10guy like Keenan Allen, who is never all that athletic, really more of, you know, a route technician who works in the
36:18slot, where you age more gracefully, I think he's still got it. That's a that's a big concern for me, but hey, if Keenan
36:24Allen signs with the Rams, or if Keenan Allen announces his retirement, um yeah, I'm I'm going to push Ladd way up.
36:32>> Uh he's an interesting one, down to wide receiver 20 on Underdog. He was like wide receiver 17, um and I guess people
36:39are are kind of thinking that was a little too expensive. As Ladd is is in like the low-end wide receiver two range, I get
36:45it. I think it's worth taking shots on.
36:48Uh let's talk about another wide receiver that this could be this is exactly like your post-hype sleeper.
36:54Last year, Terry McLaurin was coming off the best season of his career, set the record for Washington Commanders {slash} Football Club {slash} Redskins record
37:05for touchdown catches. He did it with Jayden Daniels rookie season. So, like the ADP market was steaming Daniels and McLaurin up at the same time. It was
37:15like your most common like round three, four type selections right at that turn was like going Jayden Daniels and then following up with Terry
37:24McLaurin. And then kind of disaster strikes. The season tailed into a tailspin. There was a five and 12 final record, and McLaurin had his lowest
37:35point per game finish ever, even lower than his rookie year.
37:39But now you've got all this hype from David Blough, and he's one of the big winners from the draft in terms of
37:44Washington didn't add any skill position player that's going to challenge Terry McLaurin's hierarchy as the focal point of the offense. Did I just lay it out
37:52for you, or is there anything I'm missing?
37:54>> Uh yeah, it just to, you know, strengthen those points, um yeah, a quote from the new offensive coordinator, David Blough,
38:03uh when asked about his vision for the offense, he said, "This thing is going to be built around how do we get Terry
38:09McLaurin 10 targets a game." That is a killer quote. That is a power statement.
38:15Uh don't forget when he was with Kingsbury, not only did he never get wide receiver one volume, uh but he had really shitty
38:22utilization, and that's been a Cliff Kingsbury staple. His wide receiver one just stays stuck to his quarterback's left. He's never moved around the line
38:31of scrimmage, never put in favorable slot spots, never getting mismatches in the slot. And so, David Blough coming out saying 10 targets a game for Terry
38:40McLaurin, you have to just entirely write off last year. He was hurt. He had that prolonged holdout, so he was rusty,
38:48and also heightens your re-injury risk.
38:50He gets hurt, Jayden Daniels gets hurt.
38:51So, it's just like a totally a dead lost year. Those are my favorite players to to chase in drafts because of recency
38:58bias. Uh you just have to just remove that season from the equation when when looking at him. And so, what was the
39:05last season to look at then? It was 2024, when he finished as the overall wide receiver seven, despite averaging just 6.7 targets per game. And now we're
39:15going to bring that up to 10 targets per game. So, uh you could do the math there.
39:20To me, it's clearly this guy, wide receiver 25 at ADP, but has overall wide receiver one upside, should David Blough be a man of his word.
39:32>> Yeah, I mean, we haven't seen Terry McLaurin ever have a season where he's getting like 150 total targets. David Blough's 30. Like, this could end up
39:41being like, "Hey, he's the smartest man in the room" type vibes. I feel like I'm always gravitating towards like the young offensive coordinators cuz I feel
39:49like they bring new ideas, and I think they probably care a little bit more about uh fantasy football and analytics and all the things we care about over
39:55here at Fantasy Point. So, I've been buying Terry McLaurin as like a mercenary in dynasty, where I think he could give you a really really really
40:03strong 2-year window. And I think in in redraft in best ball, he's such an easy click right now, sort of at that low-end
40:11wide receiver two range. So, really into uh Terry McLaurin. I I this is going to be like a guy we talk about on every
40:16single School of Scott episode, but Scott, you had a great call in 2024 that was ruined by the injury gods. You
40:24were all over Chris Godwin 2024 season.
40:28He was being drafted as like the wide receiver two on his team. Starts out the year like crazy getting all this slot
40:34usage and a Liam Cohen offense. Averaged 19.7 points per game and looked like a real challenger to be like the wide
40:42receiver one overall.
40:44Season ending injury ruins everything.
40:46Is this your chance to like grab the next Chris Godwin for cheap in Parker Washington?
40:53>> Yeah, that's right.
40:55Liam Cohen slot, it wasn't just me nailing Chris Godwin that was that year.
40:59It's also what we saw Cooper Kupp do.
41:01It's what we saw Wan'Dale Robinson do in Kentucky.
41:05And so last year with the last five over Trevor Lawrence's last five games he averaged 25 fantasy points per game easily overall QB1. Easily the best
41:16five-game stretch of his career and it wasn't even close. And who was the number one receiver over that span? It was Parker Washington head and shoulders
41:25over everyone else. He averaged a He averaged over 100 yards per game. No other receiver hit 45 yards per game.
41:33And of course, he was in the slot about 65% of the time. So really favorable coach speak, quarterback speak regarding Parker
41:42Washington.
41:44And so yeah, I you know, maybe it's BTJ. Maybe they go more 13 personnel like they're talking about, which means you need to get the X
41:53on the field and the slot off the field and blah blah blah. But to me just looking at upside and this wide receiver
41:5936 price tag, it's it's pretty egregious for a player who legitimately I think is overall wide receiver one upside. Don't forget that Chris Godwin year, he
42:10finished second in fantasy points.
42:12>> Say that again, Scott. You just said Overall wide receiver one upside?
42:17Yeah, yeah, yeah. So don't forget that year I called Chris Godwin. Only Jamar Chase averaged more fantasy points per game than Chris Godwin. And a key
42:27a key point there was he led the league in screen targets per game, screen fantasy points per game. So he had that built-in
42:37floor and then the upside be like he he totally out alpha'd Mike Evans in that offense. And so it's it's
42:47Yeah, maybe you know BTJ had this killer rookie season, but maybe just the slot wide receiver matters so much more to
42:54Liam Cohen because the track record he has, the year Chris Godwin had relative to Mike Evans who's the ass god, who
43:00easily leads all wide receivers in ass for the last 3 years, who's you know, locked to hit 1,000 yards, 10 touchdowns
43:07every single season. And a player I think is really talented, a player Brett thinks is really talented. You know, all this hype, all this buzz over Luther
43:15Burden. I was talking to Brett last week. He said I think Parker Washington is just as talented as Luther Burden if
43:21not significantly more so. And I think more so. And so yeah, overall wide receiver one upside I was I was Trevor Lawrence's biggest
43:29hater, right?
43:31But he looked incredible at the tail end of last season. Maybe that was him finally coming into his own. Maybe that
43:36was Liam Cohen being an absolute genius, the next Ben Johnson. But if that sticks, if that sticks even 80% those last five games last year, then
43:48absolutely any Jacksonville receiver has overall wide receiver one upside. And I have to be Parker Washington who again averaged like 111 yards per game during
43:59that hot streak. Uh perhaps he was the catalyst for, you know, Trevor Lawrence going Super Saiyan. So yeah, this is one
44:06of my biggest, strongest conviction takes, Uh is Parker Washington. I brought this up on our live stream is I'm trading the
44:151.07 in my rookie drafts for Parker Wa- I I am I I He is my number one buy low.
44:21He's my number one trade for for target.
44:24He's going to be an Exodia, probably.
44:28Um And so, yeah. I I like Parker Washington a lot.
44:32>> It's interesting cuz when we go back in time in like fantasy football, it's finding some of those like slot wide
44:37receivers that hit in massive, massive ways and be became like fantasy football edge type guys. A lot of them do it as
44:44like a year three or year four guy. It's not like they out the gate. It's almost like a nuanced skill in the NFL where
44:51you lean a little bit more into like a guy with a little bit of experience in that sort of short intermediate route
44:56killer slot receiver role.
45:00And what's what's funny is a lot of times you get these guys who smash down the stretch and their ADP just shoots up
45:07because of recency bias. It's the complete opposite with Parker Washington. But this is like when Scott's talking about like the smash
45:14down the stretch, week 16 verse Denver, 26.5 PPR points, double-digit targets.
45:21Week 17 versus Indianapolis, double-digit targets, 19 fantasy points scored. 19.7 in week 18. People are like, "Whatever, week 18. My My league
45:32wasn't playing, bro." But then they when push comes to shove and when it matters the most in a tight playoff loss to
45:38Buffalo, 12 targets for Parker Washington, 107 receiving yards, seven catches and a touchdown, 23.9 PPR points. So, like all he's got to do is keep the same
45:49role.
45:49>> carries over this stretch. He had two carries in that game.
45:53>> Yeah, Parker Washington's really, really interesting and wide receiver 36. And like Scott nailed Chris Godwin. Scott, you were also like a big central focus
46:02of your draft plan the year before was I believe that was the Keenan Allen year with with Kellen Moore where Allen had
46:08like a 21 point per game season. So you've been really good at identifying like these guys who are going to dominate with the slot usage. Scott's
46:14all over Parker Washington. That might be the biggest takeaway from this show so far. Let's go a little quicker through tight end cuz we have fewer guys
46:21to talk about because the tight end market I think is good in terms of like drafters and the wisdom of crowds source
46:29like shaping ADP. But you've got Tyler Warren as the tight end four which is super interesting to me because last year we saw him have a very high total
46:41number of targets, a very high target share. This is a player that set the big 10 record for the most receptions by a
46:47tight end in the history of the league, had over 100 receptions at Penn State, the most receiving yards by a tight end
46:53in the big 10, and then just sort of like stepped into the NFL and got off to a red hot fast start. Talk about Tyler
46:59Warren. Could he be like a guy who does it on volume where you know we know what Brock Bowers is, we know what Trey
47:06McBride is, but Tyler Warren could he have 140 targets this year if it all goes his way?
47:12>> Uh yeah, I think absolutely he can. You know when Daniel Jones went down last year, he was the overall tight end two.
47:19He was looking like you know rookie season Brock Bowers by every metric by targets per route run, yards per route run, fantasy points per route fantasy
47:29points per game. Uh he was looking dominant. The offense was looking dominant. Let's not forget I'm a big time Shane Steichen truther. That was
47:37the first time he had competent quarterback play. He turned Daniel Jones into Daniel Jones was having a Sam Darnold type resurgence before you know
47:47that injury which which started three or four weeks bef- before his final game of the year and he is playing severely hobbled. But that
47:55Indianapolis was a top three offense.
47:57Indianapolis was looking incredible.
47:59Um and so was Tyler Warren as, you know, basically the focal point of that offense. And so, you have Michael Pittman, I think one of the most
48:07underrated wide receivers in the game. I almost put him in in that section. At a wide receiver 48 ADP, like that's
48:14clearly one of my guys this year. But you remove him from the equation, everyone's hyping up Alec Pierce. Uh no, I think I think Tyler Warren um
48:23certainly has as good overall tight end one upside as any tight end not named Bowers, McBride.
48:32And remember, that's really the most important thing, especially at this position. What do I always say? I say the tight end position is one every year
48:42it's ruled by one or two oligarchs ruling over a vast swarth of peasants.
48:49Does that mean it's just like tight end three, tight end four through tight end 14? It's all like the same guy. None of
48:54them are difference makers. None of them really matter. It's like a a 1.6 fantasy point per game gap between tight end
49:02nine and tight end four. Like uh whatever, who who cares? But then you have a Trey McBride putting up Amon-Ra St. Brown numbers and it's like okay,
49:11that really matters. And so, talking about players with upside, yeah, I I think Tyler Warren again, tight end two, when Daniel Jones
49:21went down, you got to put him on that list.
49:23What what happens with tight ends? Don't they get better in their sophomore season? Isn't that typically what happens, Theo?
49:30>> Yeah, 100%. And I think like Tyler Warren's sort of the forgotten man right now. We're going to talk about Colston
49:35Loveland in a minute, but Colston Loveland is like everybody's tight end that could break fantasy this year. Um but Tyler Warren's just sitting there.
49:44And Harold Fannin Jr. took a Harold Fannin Jr. now has increased target competition in Cleveland. He's still really, really good, but the the
49:53Browns selected Casey Concepcion, they selected Denzel Boston, so the wide receiver talent is improved around him.
49:59Uh and you have a little more question marks about the offense overall with quarterback concerns. Indianapolis, we know what Tyler Warren can do next to
50:07Daniel Jones. And it's very simple. We talk about this all the time. We have Andrew Cooper on, we have Max Toscano
50:13on. We're trying to find edges of the tight end position, but it's really simple. If you want an edge at tight end
50:19in fantasy football, look at the the target competition. And if you identify a player who can finish as the number one target on their team at the tight
50:27end position, that player is going to do really really well in fantasy. Tyler Warren versus Alec Pierce for number of targets, I'm an Alec Pierce backer, but
50:35there's there's no chance if they're both healthy by the end of the year Pierce out targets him. Like zero chance. And even with a Josh Downs
50:42bounce back year, which could happen, I still think Tyler Warren is the best bet to lead Indianapolis in total targets, which means he's in the
50:51130-plus range, so I'm into him. Here's the other ones uh Scott. His final year at Penn State, 26 carries for 218 rushing yards and
51:00four rushing touchdowns. The year before he had two rushing touchdowns.
51:05We heard like going into him, a lot of the like the Brett Whitefields and and real film grinders are like, Tyler
51:11Warren could end up having some Taysom Hill usage. Maybe we see that in year two to keep Daniel Jones a little bit
51:17fresher, and maybe they don't like make Jonathan Taylor break in half by the end of the year as well. So like
51:23give Tyler Warren a little bit of use around the goal line. If he can have 130 targets and three rushing touchdowns
51:29this year, I mean he's challenging for for tight end one overall, no matter what Bowers and McBride do. So I'm into
51:36Tyler Warren.
51:37Colston Loveland though, got to talk about him. He's more expensive, but >> Yeah, so I think what's important about these two guys is they have power law
51:45talent. They have they're significantly more way more talented than a Kenyan Seddik, than a David Njoku, than a
51:54Chego Conquo. Like they're all Tyler Warren, his final season in college, it was the best arguably the best, certainly the most
52:04productive power conference tight end season of all time. Then you have another sophomore tight end Harold Fannin, who was the best FBS tight end
52:13season of all time. And you have a Colston Loveland, it was the best market share season of all time. And then
52:20Orande Gadsden, too, another sophomore tight end.
52:23You know, his sophomore season more so than his junior season. It's one of the best age-adjusted seasons ever by a tight end. And so like that's what I was
52:31saying about these tight ends coming out. It's like this is a historically great class. They weren't really drafted like that, but I think looking back at
52:38it now, looking back on what they did as rookies, again, Tyler Warren, you know, right there with Brock Bowers before the his quarterback got hurt,
52:48is is yeah. And like that's a key thing here is And again, they they really impressed as rookies. Not to not to
52:54steal your Colston Loveland takeaway, but you know, obviously I agree with it.
52:58Last year you know, he he was just a part-time player until the final five games of the season. Which which drove me crazy
53:07because he was one of my must draft He was probably my most drafted tight end last year.
53:12But over those final five games, when he was finally given a full-time workload, he averaged 17.2 fantasy points per game. In 2024, the the tight end one
53:22averaged, I don't know, 16.1 fantasy points per game. He had a 34% first read target share. So, you know, everyone's losing their minds over Luther Burden.
53:32Yeah, contrast what he did over the final five games to Loveland. It was Loveland who was the wide receiver one and looked absolutely incredible.
53:42>> We've also got Tucker Kraft to talk about because you mentioned like your most drafted tight end. We had a bunch
53:47of teams that we shared that we were drafting in FFPC where we drafted Tucker Kraft and Colston Loveland. It could have been like the nuts combination,
53:57uh especially considering what Loveland was able to do down the stretch and Kraft was like heating up. You had You had Tucker Kraft starting to really,
54:05really shine. He had that 24-point uh scoring game in week two, and then before he got hurt he had like another
54:1217-point PPR explosion. And then the one that got everybody excited, he had the 33-point game uh against Pittsburgh in week eight. Goes down with injury the
54:23following week. It was sort of a a really, really disappointing one for us to lose in those tight end premium high
54:27stakes teams, but Tucker Kraft is back.
54:31He's a stud. Like do you have concerns about him coming off of an injury?
54:36What's sort of the thesis here with Tucker Kraft? He's cheaper than the last two guys we talked about. He's going off
54:41the board as the tight end five, but he's going 80th overall. So like Colston Loveland you're spending the 47th overall pick on Underdog as the tight
54:49end three. Uh Tyler Warren a little bit higher up. He's 68th overall. Warren uh Tucker Kraft down at 80. So you're
54:56starting to creep down a little bit. Is he an edge pick in this range?
55:00>> Yeah, I mean I thought he was going to be, you know, the tight end, the you know, best pick you could have made at
55:06the tight end position last year and then he got hurt. But now we're getting an injury discount. This guy who's just
55:12a freak talent, you know, like George Kittle's maybe my favorite player in all of football and I, you know, it should
55:17be illegal to comp anyone to George Kittle, but he looks like George Kittle reincarnated. With the injury issues as well. He's led the league in yards after
55:26the catch per reception minus screens in three straight years, which is insanely difficult to do.
55:33Um And uh you know, a great stat from Ryan Heath last year is he was on the injury report in I don't know, 50% of his games
55:41last year, but or he got hurt or started off the week on the injury report. But in games where he had a full bill of
55:49health, he had a 24% target share, 85 yards per game that would have led the position, 21 fantasy points per game
55:59would have led the position. And so, yeah, I main concern here is injuries, but it's a player I have a ton of
56:06conviction in and you know, the other question was always target volume, but at least when he was healthy last year, he did get, you know, really impressive
56:13target volume.
56:15>> Yeah, and it's sort of like you know, we talked about Christian Watson and I know like Ryan Heath and Jacob Sanderson are
56:20into Jayden Reed right now. There's Matthew Golden enthusiasm in the streets and then of course Josh Jacobs is Josh Jacobs. He's he's going to get about as
56:29much as he can handle.
56:31But if LaFleur kind of goes back to doing what he was doing before Tucker Kraft got injured, Kraft was like shaping up to be the focal point of the
56:40passing game and like you said that George Kittle like YAC ability, maybe not quite as explosive as Kittle, but still like showed he could just shine in
56:49this offense. So, I think Tucker Kraft is worth this price tag considering you're getting him at 80th overall. The final player on the list that the haters
56:57in the comments are going to say does Scott Barrett even know ball? He's recommending some old guy to me at this
57:02point in the show. I've been watching for almost an hour, you're going to talk about Mark Andrews as a value in 2026.
57:08Mark Andrews though, tight end 13 Scott.
57:12He didn't get Kenyon Seddik during the draft. The the Baltimore Ravens have sort of deemphasized the tight end two position. They
57:19actually double tapped it with sort of later round rookies.
57:22Isaiah Likely is now a New York Giant starting tight end. He's also could be a nice ADP value, but you might be into
57:29using old man Mark Andrews this year.
57:31>> Well, he's not just a value. I I think he is overall tight end one upside.
57:35I mean, I think in today's day and age with as good as the tight end position is, it's it's hard to beat out a Bowers
57:41or McBride or a Loveland or a Warren, but I mean, he's led the position in fantasy points before. Uh counting backwards, he's finished 25th last year,
57:51awful, eighth, fifth, third, first, fourth, sixth in fantasy points per game. Again, it's a tight end 13 ADP, but he was tight end six or better in
58:01six straight seasons. And then what happened the last two years? Route share came down to 60%, fell from 80%.
58:08Um because he was splitting work with Isaiah Likely, but over the last two years, only George Kittle averages more fantasy points per route run. Um sorry,
58:18that's over the last three years. So, you could do the math though. It's Hey, okay, if he just gets back to an 80%
58:24route share, no more Isaiah Likely, uh multiply that by his fantasy points per route run, he's right back to being a top six tight end. Uh he's still an
58:35ass god. He leads all tight ends in ass over the last two years. And again, no Isaiah Likely, also no Charlie Kolar,
58:43and not really anyone else on the team.
58:45Uh so, maybe he just goes back to being who he was. Maybe he has, you know, a Zach Ertz-like career trajectory. Um I
58:54think they're very similar players. Uh and in fact, Andrews probably still has a little bit more juice.
58:59Um so, yeah, he just needs the opportunity and you know, this seems like a great opportunity for him.
59:05>> Yeah, we know the familiarity that Lamar Jackson has with him. I think another sort of underrated aspect of Mark Andrews, if he can stay healthy, is
59:13Declan Doyle as the OC coming from the Ben Johnson tree, where we saw like what Colston Loveland was able to do down the
59:19stretch, but it was really the Sam LaPorta usage as a rookie in Detroit.
59:24So, I think Mark Andrews, it's sort of like a he's like that veteran that nobody wants to click on, but he can end up being a
59:31really strong one. And this is the cheapest we've ever seen Lamar Jackson Mark Andrews stacks. Like this used to be one of the premium stacks to get. Now
59:40you're able to get it for pretty cheap considering Lamar Jackson is is a little bit more affordable. He's still QB2, but
59:46he's down in like the 55 overall range on Underdog. And then you've got Mark Andrews sort of in like the tight end
59:52two wasteland leading the all the tight end twos as the tight end 13. So, interesting one there.
59:58Quarterbacks almost its own show here, Scott. So, why don't we And and quarterbacks one where we're going to dissect. We'll do a full on
60:05quarterback show in these next few weeks and sort of break down some uh players the position. Maybe do some early rankings at the quarterback position cuz
60:13it's so important to nail this one.
60:16So, Scott, why don't you have at it here?
60:19Talk about anybody you're really really like mega hyped on reflective to their early cost right now.
60:24>> Um well, I I think that this is the unique thing about the quarterback position is there's like 15 guys with
60:32overall QB1 upside.
60:34So, and that's you again very unique to the position. Um but I'll talk about my guy Jackson Dart.
60:41If you just throw out that that one Minnesota game where he threw only 13 passes, they ran the ball 25 times. He
60:49averaged 22.5 fantasy points per start. That would have led all quarterbacks last year. He did that uh spending time in the blue
60:57medical tent in like 40% of his games.
60:59He did that without Malik Neighbors.
61:03Um and so yeah, if if he just and he looked awesome. Like I'm not a film guy, but he looked he looked really
61:10incredible to me. So, um yeah, I'll just throw Jackson Dart out, but I I really had a list that was like eight names
61:16long.
61:17>> Yeah, I and again, we'll get to these ones. You bring up Jackson Dart. I think he's the easy one because it's year two
61:22quarterback where we've seen a lot of these like ADP smash seasons and it's the rushing upside where talk about guys like Lamar Jackson, you talk about guys
61:31like Jalen Hurts, you talk about guys like dare I say it Josh Allen. And Jackson Dart, I mean, why can't he lead
61:38all quarterbacks in rushing yardage and rushing touchdowns? And if he does those things, anything he does as a passer is going to
61:46get boosted. He's also got sort of that it factor. Seems like a guy who's going to really thrive in New York. And when
61:52we look and we say, "Why did John Harbaugh take this job?" It's because of Jackson Dart. It's like the the gravitating force to getting uh John
62:00Harbaugh to take over the New York Giants head coaching job was a chance to coach Jackson Dart.
62:05And we've seen what he's able to do with a mobile quarterback with Lamar Jackson.
62:08So, it seems very simplistic. I get it.
62:11Matt Nagy is I think if anything, Matt Nagy has made uh Jackson Dart's early ADP more affordable. He's the quarterback 11 overall. I'm going to
62:20talk about one for me that >> forget by the way, Greg Roman is is part of that staff. Like I I have a tweet
62:27scheduled for for 1:25 week one that says, "Can we fire Greg Roman? He's awful." Oh, I'm sorry. Can we Can we fire Matt Nagy? He's awful.
62:37Let's let's put Greg Roman in there. If if this offense struggles, you know, I I think I well, I think Greg Roman's going
62:43to have his imprint over his offense.
62:45Um and you know, you know, maybe that makes Dart a little bit more Matt Nagy proof or maybe he gets fired mid-season. I I
62:53don't worry about the Matt Nagy thing as much as I know Ryan Heave does. I'll I'll say that.
62:58>> I'll throw up my dark horse and it's one where I didn't think I'd be Justin Herbert we're both in line with. Like
63:03Justin Herbert we've talked about, you can throw him up on the screen there.
63:06Shout out to Trey Chamberlin in the studio. Justin Herbert we're both into uh quarterback uh 10 overall for Herbert leading the McDaniel offense. And if you
63:14don't want to like pull your hair out and say, "Should I draft Rondale Gadson, should I draft Lad McConkey, should I
63:20draft Amari and Hampton? You can just say oh I'm going to just take the quarterback. I'll go Justin Herbert.
63:24This offense could print. And if the if the LA Chargers lead the NFL in scoring or come close to it, they're going to be
63:31really fantasy friendly. It doesn't matter which of the other guys hits cuz Herbert will also hit in a major way.
63:36But I got to talk about Trevor Lawrence where I didn't think I'd be doing this, but I think I'm really into Trevor Lawrence
63:42and you look at Liam Cohen what he was able to accomplish last year um getting Trevor Lawrence to this really exciting range where Lawrence
63:52ends up with 560 pass attempts, has 4,000 passing yards, but it was really the efficiency where the passing touchdowns he sets a record for his own
64:02career with 29 passing touchdowns, finishes as the quarterback six overall in points per game.
64:08But nobody's really talking about how effective he was as a runner last year, not only in the touchdown department, but 359 rushing yards, sets career uh
64:16career highs in all these categories.
64:18And it's just the vibes with Trevor Lawrence. Like we saw what he was able to do in Liam Cohen year one.
64:24But nobody's really talking about him taking his game to the next level in year two.
64:28I mean when we go back to Trevor Lawrence the prospect, he was like Andrew Luck level to some of these people talking about like a can't miss
64:38type player.
64:40Slow starter in his NFL career, but last year was his fifth year in the league.
64:44He's still only 26 years old. We could end up seeing Trevor Lawrence have this like change narrative arc where I could
64:51see a scenario where Trevor Lawrence is being drafted as like the QB3 heading into 2027 based on just how good he was
65:00in year two with Liam Cohen.
65:02You bring up Parker Washington.
65:04I think this is going to be a really good offense. I'm into Trevor Lawrence.
65:07Where you at on him?
65:08>> Yeah, you know, I was a long time Trevor Lawrence hater, but we I I I that's what I kept saying is like I'm not a hater.
65:14I'm just waiting for him to have two good games in a row, right? And he had it at the tail end of last season final
65:19five games of the year he averaged 25 fantasy points per game.
65:24I think he I think even from like final eight games of the year I think he was the overall QB1.
65:31So yeah, it finally all came together.
65:33I'm a Liam Cohen truther and so you know, I like Parker Washington. So yeah, I'm I'm into that.
65:40>> We have six quarterbacks collectively between the two of us that we're going to discuss on an upcoming School of Scott. We're going to
65:47break down the quarterback position. So make sure you're subscribed to the School of Scott podcast feed. Scott and I and possibly a guest are going to

66:03>> Well, I'm going to I'm going to drag I'm going to drag Scott I'm going to drag Scott onto Dynasty Life.
