0:00What's going on everybody? It is Fantasy Football Daily back with another mock draft. We have picked from the 101. We picked from the 112. Now we're smack-dab
0:08in the middle.
0:09>> [music] >> I am joined today by our guys Joe Dolan,
0:21who's the managing editor here at Fantasy Points, and our resident betting expert on everything betting. It's Tom Brolley. These guys are both on SiriusXM
0:30every single morning. They have been crushing it going to 2 hours every single morning. So, if you want to listen to more Joe and Tom. Yeah, it's a
0:36marathon. It's a little bit of a marathon, that's for sure.
0:38>> and we have a earlier wake-up call. So, we we've been going 8:00 to 9:00 for uh since last football season, but now
0:46we're back to 7:00 a.m. in the morning.
0:48So, that's been a little bit of an adjustment period here for for me and Joe this week.
0:53>> Yeah, well, we we would we deserve it though. Fantasy Points deserves the 2-hour window. We get 2 hours of great
0:58content every morning on SiriusXM. So, make sure you check them out every single morning. Uh they will be 2 hours every single morning for the rest of the
1:06season. Let's get this draft started here guys. No surprises, Bijan and Gibbs go 101 102. We got Puka and Chase at 103
1:14104. We will be picking smack-dab in the middle here at 106.
1:17What are we thinking here, Joe?
1:22There you go, Joe.
1:23>> I think if JSN goes five, that's interesting. Um I I don't know, Tom. I I I think I might lean Jonathan Taylor, but Christian
1:31McCaffrey is the kind of the the the play to win pick here, right?
1:34>> Yeah, I I if when I'm faced with this situation, I've I've been going Christian McCaffrey over JT. I I think
1:40consensus right now, if you're on Underdog or doing any kind of best ball drafting, Taylor seems to be going ahead of McCaffrey in most situations, but
1:48I've been going McCaffrey, so what do you think, Grim?
1:51>> Yeah, I'll split the difference. I also agree McCaffrey over JT. I'm willing to just ride this until the wheels fall
1:57off. It's full PPR league here with same same settings we've been doing if you've been listening to these other mock drafts shows we've been doing here.
2:03Start one quarterback, two running backs, uh two receivers, two flex. So, getting these like just massive difference-making running backs makes a
2:11huge difference. To me, it was either McCaffrey or Amon-Ra St. Brown there.
2:15I think he's got just a super super high floor, middle of first-round pick. JT does not scare me as a player. The only
2:23thing that scares me is if Daniel Jones takes a big step back this year, guys.
2:26Like that's that's the thing.
2:28>> That's yeah, the the splits, you know, when they're winning compared to when they're losing. They're They have like a 7.5 win total this season. So, if Daniel
2:37Jones is slow out of gates, like it it does give me a little bit of concern.
2:40But, JT's probably the better athlete, you know, at this point.
2:45>> McCaffrey >> 100% the better runner. 100% the better runner. But, the things that score fantasy points, like McCaff- I mean,
2:51it's literally just going to be like McCaffrey plays 12, 13, 14 games even this year. He's probably going to catch 75 balls. And he's going to get all the
2:58goal-line work on a really good offense that we feel great about. JT, I just have to squint a little harder to see
3:04his upside because, yeah, it is mostly attached to the touchdowns for him. And he does He just doesn't have the insane
3:10passing down role that that McCaffrey has. As I said, Amon-Ra goes right after JT. Then it's Jinty, Cook, Lamb, and Jefferson to round out the first round.
3:21Our guy Chuck Bass, shout out to Chuck Bass.
3:24He's He's drafting with us here. He goes 112, Jefferson and Hampton. That's a nice little start there.
3:30>> Yeah, you you were you were you know, praising Hampton there on the the Tuesday live stream with Joe and Brian there.
3:39And I I've been a little bit lower on Hampton, Joe. I I don't I don't know about you. I I haven't been selecting him nearly
3:45enough. But, Graham likes that upside.
3:47That's That's especially with the the >> I can see it, right? I can really see it. The with the with Omarian Hampton
3:53just like if if the Mike McDaniel offense really starts to take off here, man. It's a it's it's scary to pass on him, but you
4:02know he got hurt last year.
4:05Keaton Mitchell is a guy who's getting a lot of steam in some spots. So, man, oh boy, massive run of running backs right
4:11here, guys. We've got seven of the last seven of the last nine picks.
4:17Nine of the last 12 picks. This is This is old school, Graham. I know you've been doing these these kind of redraft leagues, but holy
4:25crap, man. These This is This is big time here with these run of running backs.
4:29>> Yeah, it is and we're going to break this here. I think we'll we'll switch it up and go receiver. I like London here.
4:35I wouldn't mind a little Nico Collins action.
4:38>> Yeah, this is kind of >> Kind of kind of This is kind of getting to the point where I don't like 100% love like the
4:47back half of the first the back half of the second round and like the middle of the second round are kind of the same to
4:51me. So, like getting that earlier pick is pretty nice. So, I will take it.
4:58>> Yeah, I have zero interest in Zach Neighbors here, by the way.
5:02>> Oh, Henry. We could go for all the old running backs.
5:05>> Yeah, that's [laughter] true. Yeah, we're we're we're riding till I die here with the if we go McCaffrey and Derrick
5:10Henry.
5:11>> Yeah, that that might be a little bit much for me. Jeremiah Love, I'm not >> The geriatric team.
5:18>> I'd like to go receiver. I'd like to go Brown or Nico.
5:21>> Nah.
5:23I've heard Nico.
5:25>> So have I.
5:26>> Um >> I'll be the I'll be the lone A.J. Brown guy, but we'll we'll split the difference. We'll go Nico here.
5:33>> Nico Collins it is.
5:34>> It's just quarterback, man. Like I just In Drake May we trust. That's the only thing I keep coming back to, but Nico
5:40Nico is objectively a better receiver right now than A.J. Brown.
5:44>> Yeah, that's what I I think we're going to, you know, Ryan obviously Ryan Heath obviously wrote the JSN finding the next JSN and I
5:52think Nico could be like one of these sneaky candidates. The the tight the Texans have kind of loaded up at the
5:58tight end position selected Marlon clown signed Foster Moreau. They don't really have that number two standout wide receiver just yet. So
6:08I could see him getting a lot of balls and if CJ Stroud you know plays better behind this offensive line. I think it's
6:14going to be improved.
6:16Maybe maybe Nico Collins is the sneaky guy that puts up some huge numbers and he's been very good whenever he's been healthy.
6:22It's just staying healthy here especially last season with the concussions. So But I love this starting with the Christian McCaffrey Nico Collins.
6:32>> It is very nice. Yeah, Nico is pretty much locked for 30% of the targets Tom to your point like there's just no
6:37there's a no other target competition on this team that really scares me. I thought Jayden Higgins looked pretty good at the end of last year. They are
6:43going to get tank Dell back. Dell was Stroud's guy in his you know breakout season there obviously.
6:49I do think that that will matter a little bit but there's nobody that's going to really push him for targets here.
6:56Only surprise is Breece Hall over Derrick Henry. That's a forward-looking pick there forward-thinking pick for a for the 104 there.
7:03>> Yeah, I I I like Breece Hall but I would not be selecting him over Derrick Henry and even Jeremiah love over Derrick
7:09Henry. I can't >> Yeah, I can't do it now.
7:11>> That's a little too far for me to go.
7:13>> Yeah, that's a bridge too far for me as well Joe Breece Hall over Henry. I I don't think I'm not super bullish on
7:18Henry this season but I don't think I could do that.
7:21>> like is Derrick Henry just a freak like I mean I I think >> [laughter] >> I think the answer to that is of course
7:28but yeah, he's he's somebody I think it's You said ride it till the wheels fall off with McCaffrey. I think we're there
7:36there with Derrick Henry as well. I just didn't know if you wanted to see in a in a large field best-ball tournament, I
7:43would think a McCaffrey-Henry start would make sense cuz you're like, "I don't give a crap if I finish fifth in this league, you know?" Or I want to
7:51finish first, and maybe that that that feels better than starting like This is a redraft. We're we're acting like this is a managed league. So, I starting with
8:00Christian McCaffrey and Derrick Henry in that format probably would give uh the average person the heebie-jeebies is is is what I would say think.
8:08>> Yeah, I it it gave me a little bit of heebie-jeebies. I'm not going to lie.
8:12They're a little bit.
8:13Uh I mean, McCaffrey, man, I mean, he he could fall off the cliff this season, but still score 19 fantasy points per
8:18game just cuz he's going to catch so many balls. Uh every year we do this with Derrick Henry, though. Every year
8:23we say, you know, he's This is the year he falls off, and then over his last four games last year, guys, he had 85
8:28carries, 570 yards, and six touchdowns.
8:30>> So, he he's he's shown fewer signs of uh you know, falling off here than Christian McCaffrey, for sure. And now
8:37they've uh you know, going and getting our guy, Vega uh Ieyouny uh Joe uh to to to shore up that offensive line, I think
8:43that's going to help out Derrick Henry.
8:44>> We're on the clock here, guys. We got to we got to make a pick.
8:47>> Yeah.
8:48>> So, we're starting a running back.
8:50>> I I think it's an easy call. I think we take one of these receivers. I think we go Rice.
8:55>> Rice and I really like T >> No Breece Hall.
8:58>> Wow, DeVonta Smith is buried on Sleeper.
9:01>> Where he is.
9:02>> Wow.
9:03>> He's going to go there. That's that's coming in the That's coming in the Tom Brohm article.
9:07>> I think I lean a little bit DeVonta Smith here, but uh >> I get it with Rashee Rice, especially >> Yeah.
9:12>> you know, if if we're playing to win here with this McCaffrey build, um you know, we're kind of banking on
9:19Rashee Rice to stay out of trouble, so.
9:21>> Yeah.
9:21>> Let's let's let's do Rice.
9:22>> Okay.
9:23>> Yeah.
9:24That's fine. I like DeVonta Smith, but Tom, I can tell you DeVonta Smith's going to be in your uh comparing fantasy
9:28points rankings with the the popular platforms article because he is buried.
9:33>> I Where was he at on that? I It's a little >> 47, I think.
9:36>> 49 overall.
9:38>> Okay. Now, keep him keep him there.
9:40>> Actually, I really like >> T Higgins has been one of my favorite guys to draft all year. Um >> Yeah.
9:46>> He goes right after Rashee Rice after we took Rashee Rice. T Higgins is like he was part of like that Ryan Heath study
9:51that he did Graham this off season where he's like maybe the more most undervalued players in fantasy now are wide receiver twos on teams that
9:59actually throw the ball a lot, you know, and uh the T Higgins um I mean, he's coming off of 2 years ago he was the
10:06wide receiver four, you know, in fantasy points per game. And so, I mean, I I I think he's a spectacular third-round
10:13pick.
10:14>> Yeah, he's been like >> Yeah.
10:15>> I actually just gave him out as a a receiving touchdowns later at 20 to 1 odds. I know we have Ja'Marr Chase in
10:22the same offense, but if you look at a lot of their per route and per target numbers, T Higgins scores more often
10:30than Ja'Marr Chase. So, uh it's just been a it's come down to health for him a lot of the time. But, we're expecting
10:36to Burrow to throw for a lot of yards.
10:37>> He scores touchdowns. That's his thing.
10:39>> is a sneaky play at 20 to 1, so a little bit further down the board, probably because of Ja'Marr Ja'Marr Chase being
10:45in town, but uh I I think that's a a pretty good play at 20 to 1.
10:49>> not for nothing, we just had a quote-unquote number two receiver lead the NFL in receiving touchdowns.
10:54>> Yeah, that's true. [laughter] >> Davante Adams just did it. So, so I mean, it the the precedence are there. And obviously, T Higgins is not a
11:02number two. You know, he'd be a number one on more than half the teams in the league, but um but yeah, that it's just
11:08the way this team is built.
11:10>> Yeah, 21 touchdowns in Tee's last 27 games over the last 2 years. You look at basically the starts he's made with Joe
11:16Burrow over the last 3 seasons, he's like a top eight fantasy wide receiver.
11:20Uh we didn't go Higgins. I would have had Rice and Higgins ahead of DeVonta Smith for what it's worth uh that when
11:25we were picking there, but Rice, man, I mean, I know the guy is I mean, >> [laughter] >> he's basically become a meme at this
11:32point. Uh shout out our guy Tom Tipple.
11:34He came up with the nickname of GTA Rice that Rice is going to be featured in GTA 6. He very well might have his own
11:40character at this point. But man, when he's been on the field, I mean he's like just a locked-in top eight fantasy
11:45receiver. Touchdown upside is insane with him.
11:47>> They did less than zero this off season at receiver.
11:51Like they like >> I'm not building the Chiefs. It's not my problem. That would would not [laughter] have been my choice.
11:57>> That would not have been >> been my choice if I were leading the Chiefs. But hey, I I'm not I'm not paid to do that.
12:02>> built like a little girl out there, you know, he's tiny and we'll see if he can stay healthy, but >> Kelce's older now, guys, too, like I
12:10mean Rashee Rice's upside has not changed. Now we can draft him in the third round. This was the guy everybody was pushing to the second round before
12:17all of his legal trouble started last summer. So, yeah, the upside equation has not changed for Rashee Rice. That is >> Yeah, I
12:23>> [clears throat] >> I do think we're seeing that start to change, you know, he's out of jail now.
12:27We you know, he's out of prison. He's healing that resting that knee up, rehabbing it. Uh so, I do think probably
12:34over the next six six weeks, by the end of August, he's probably going to be you know, be being selected in that late
12:40second round.
12:41>> I am 100% with you. I think that's where he ends up going to. I think his closing ADP is going to be 22
12:46>> out of trouble. I mean, that's been >> he stays out of trouble, Tom, his closing ADP is going to be 22 or 23. I'm
12:52with you on that. Uh we could get Devonta Smith here, guys, as unless we get sniped on by Play Action >> we By the way,
12:58they do not hear us right now. We are we are not live on the channel, so they don't hear us talking.
13:03>> Yeah, they don't they don't Yeah, we can we can talk all we want. We can we can [laughter] commiserate these picks.
13:10Um Devonta Smith makes sense for this team.
13:13We could go RB2.
13:15Um >> Is it three or two?
13:16>> It's two it's two two two flex. Yeah.
13:20So, one quarterback, one tight end, and two two running back, two receiver, two flex.
13:24>> Um what do what What have left at running back? ETN ATN I should say.
13:28>> ATN Uh Yeah, and by the way he >> Go ahead.
13:33>> According to According to the motion man, ATN is our clear pick by projections. I just To me, it's like Devonta Smith is such a sexier pick.
13:41>> You know, maybe I'm We've got our We've got our anchor.
13:44>> Yeah.
13:45I think Yeah.
13:49>> Yeah.
13:50>> I like Give me Devonta Smith.
13:53>> Yeah.
13:54>> I [laughter] mean debating Devonta Smith versus Rice a round to go and we're getting them here. I think >> Yeah, so
14:00>> we're I think we're seeing sleeper at play here. People are Oh, Devonta Smith is Oh, there he is. Uh >> I've I've done so many freaking underdog
14:08drafts. I'll be doing them for uh as long as I can, I guess.
14:12Uh and um I'm so underdog and best ball brained right now that this build is kind of like blowing my mind. Like to me, Nico
14:20Collins, Rashee Rice, and Devonta Smith should all be going like back-to-back-to-back in drafts.
14:25>> Yeah, and we >> We just got all three of them.
14:27>> We can push running back. I I I've always been a big fan of the hero running back builds and there's
14:31literally no better hero running back than Christian McCaffrey.
14:35Uh we will need to get a little lucky on maybe Etienne or Scataboo or Montgomery falling here. We'll see. Uh the problem is three of the next four
14:46teams here all have just one running back. So, I we're we'll be running the gauntlet here. Hey Trey, real quick, go
14:51to the running back ADP pool and we'll if we don't get one of those three guys.
14:56>> Yeah.
14:57>> Uh De'Andre Swift I think would be my favorite just as kind of like a floor RB2.
15:02>> I know you're like Ryan you're Ryan is not targeting Quinjuan Judkins this year. That's I I I get it. I get it.
15:09>> All the All the running backs in this range are going to have some some foibles and warts, you know, like
15:15>> Yeah. It's It's just the offense with Judkins. I think if if Like I love Monken. I think Todd Monken's a an
15:21upgrade over Stefanski. It's just this offense might be atrocious this season.
15:25It's just >> about David Montgomery, Graham?
15:27>> Oh, I'm all in. Yeah, I'm all He would be my my pick here.
15:30>> Phil >> He is my favorite >> missing something with him. Like what Why is the public >> He's boring. That's all.
15:37>> Yeah. Yeah, I guess so.
15:38>> He's super freaking boring.
15:40>> Yeah.
15:40>> Woody Marks stinks? I mean, like Woody Marks I mean, when when Woody Marks came out of college, we thought he was going
15:46to be a satellite back. That's what he did in college, you know? So, he just was kind of miscast last year. But like
15:52isn't this the exact same thing as Joe Mixon 2 years ago, who turned out to be a really good pick in this offense?
15:59>> that year.
16:00>> And I honestly I kind of think David Montgomery at this point might be a better back than Mixon. Mixon was kind
16:04of showing sign signs of slowing down a little bit. Guys, this I mean, Texans have the best defense in football.
16:11They're going to be in a ton of positive game scripts.
16:13Um I mean, it's just uh I think it's a slam dunk. Montgomery is a slam dunk pick this year.
16:19>> Do we worry you know, not that this is I I don't usually worry about this, but we do have Nico Collins already. Do we Do
16:25we worry about having two the two best players in an offense that we think's going to be bottom half of the league
16:30and implied points, they're bottom 10.
16:34>> They might be bottom half of the league, but all of the meaningful expected fantasy points is going to go through
16:38these two guys.
16:39>> Mhm. Yeah, I think so, too. I just I mean, Dalton Schultz later as a tight end and a tight end two, but nobody else
16:47is really going to get many points here.
16:50>> Where are we at on Brevin Jordan after he burned all our asses last year?
16:54>> I'm also all in on him as well, but I would I would prefer Swift. Yeah, and if you honestly, I might prefer Ebuka.
17:01I I know we're talking sleeper ADP being a little uh not as sharp right now, but I mean, some of these receivers are
17:08>> Oh, there goes the >> They're just way too cheap for me to >> RB heavy with his build at number two,
17:14so >> Uh >> Oh, there goes Montgomery.
17:16>> Yeah, there goes Montgomery. Great pick there. Jamaal Williams and Montgomery, super super boring RB2 or RB1 RB2.
17:23Um, >> Christian Watson, [clears throat] there you go.
17:25>> So, we >> So, we're we're on the board.
17:27>> Got Tu and >> Swift.
17:29>> Tu and Swift or Judkins. I would I would personally rank them Swift, Tu, and Judkins.
17:34>> And and you're you are I know we talked about this. You are in a very hard find a very hard to click on
17:41Trey Sermon Henderson's name.
17:42>> Yeah, I can't do it, man. I can't do it.
17:44>> a round or two too early.
17:46>> Yeah, like I mean, here's where I consider it. Yeah, like I'm okay with De'Andre Swift here. The only the only
17:51thing I would consider with um, with with with with Tu is like man, because we have that hammer and McCaffrey, would it be fun to play for
17:59the upside with Tu?
18:01>> Yeah, but >> Like taking swings for the fences?
18:03>> Yeah, but I'm okay with De'Andre Swift.
18:06>> Yeah.
18:06>> Yeah, I'm I'm I have I've been selecting Swift ahead of Tu.
18:10They're, you know, right next to each other for me, but uh, Swift. I I do feel safer about >> Every single year De'Andre Swift of his
18:17career has finished as a top 24 fantasy running back. He's never he's never really been like a top 12 guy.
18:23>> been getting passed around, you know, like people are like, all right, we got our top 24 season out of De'Andre Swift.
18:28Now, you do it.
18:29Like with like the Eagles did, but and I mean, I guess Ben Johnson this off season determined, all right, he was good enough.
18:37Even though Ben Johnson was part of the team that kicked him to the curb the first time.
18:40>> I I this is more eye test than anything.
18:42I thought last year was the best he ran in his career. Looked like he >> Agreed.
18:47>> developed into a like a professional running back. A lot of stuff was bouncing in previous seasons.
18:53And under Ben Johnson, I think he really uh, you know, developed a little bit and was running well between the tackles and
19:00he looked like a pro running back to me.
19:02It was It's a been a lot of receiving production this, you know, to to get that production to to be those RB2
19:08finishes. So, uh, I think he he made some development in his career. It took a little bit, but uh, unfortunately that we have to split
19:16touches with Kalenji, but I think he did take a significant step forward in his career.
19:22>> It's super boring, but I mean Swift his finishes over the last four seasons, man. RB 15, RB 24, RB 24. He was the RB
19:3117, he was the RB 10, you know? It's like Yeah, okay. He doesn't have top eight upside, but like we needed a we
19:36needed RB 2 that we can count on for this team.
19:39I like that quite a bit for us here.
19:42>> Tom's been calling them on the morning show and by been calling them I think since like Monday, at least since I
19:48started doing the morning show with him here.
19:50>> shows together for this >> With Paul off, he's called them the vegetable backs, you know, you just >> Yeah.
19:56>> They're your They're your just kind of your boring, just put them on your plate, they're a side dish, but they're part of a
20:03balanced diet.
20:05>> Yeah, broccoli's Listen, broccoli's not the best tasting food, but it's full of fiber, you know? You can't You can't go much
20:11You can't get much better solid food than that.
20:13>> I'd go with Metamucil to to avoid eating broccoli, but you know, if I have to eat my broccoli, I don't have the Metamucil
20:19available, I will eat the broccoli.
20:21>> I'm a I'm a Brussels sprouts guy.
20:22>> Yeah, oh me too.
20:24>> Grilling season right now, too, so >> Well, yeah, it's a grilling season. My my my grill ignition didn't make the move, so
20:31I have to do it I have to do it the old fashioned way with the with the stick lighter. And of course, ever since we
20:36moved up here, we had like one day of good weather and now >> It's either blistering hot or pouring down rain, so
20:43>> It's been blistering hot everywhere this this year, guys.
20:46Hey Trey, go back over to the running back. I was going to actually keep up for Ramondre here.
20:51I do I do think we could use a third running back here. Any Any guys you feel very strongly about?
20:57>> to me. I think it's obvious to me right now cuz Tom and I were talking about him today.
21:02You want to talk vegetables?
21:04>> Chuba?
21:05>> Chuba Hubbard. That's like That's just like that's like boiled broccoli right there.
21:10>> The the metrics don't look great. The analytics aren't looking good for him.
21:13What do we have anything there? We got Tyler Warren off the board, I guess.
21:18>> Uh Kyle Pitts or Harold Fannin to me.
21:20That would be the two.
21:22>> Yeah, I agree.
21:23>> Oh, Tucker Kraft just got sniped. I'd love Tucker Kraft this year.
21:27>> Yeah, I do like Tucker Kraft, too.
21:29>> I'm I'm cool with Chuba for this team.
21:31We we could use We could use it as a a floor running back.
21:35>> What about Chuba and Pollard?
21:36>> I mean I actually feel better about >> Chuba. I I do see Pollard has started to jump Chuba.
21:43>> Like Tajae Tajae Spears and and Nicholas Singleton might actually be more intimidating behind him than behind Pollard than Jonathan Brooks. I mean Jonathan Brooks
21:53is a complete unknown.
21:56>> Yeah, I Have you I know you were a Jonathan Brooks guy coming out, Graham. Have you been drafting much of him or have you
22:02been I I'm very scared with this two consecutive ACL injuries and barely playing the last two years.
22:10>> I did I did love him coming out as a prospect.
22:13We'll go Chuba. Yeah, we'll go Chuba here. I did love Brooks coming out of a prospect, but you know, man, I mean at
22:18this point if they can get change up carries out of him, like 8 to 12, I think that's kind of what they're they
22:24have in mind for him.
22:26I do think there's an upside case that okay, maybe he is fully healthy. He is the more explosive runner.
22:34He could take over this backfield at some point this season. I I would put that likelihood at like maybe 25%.
22:41It's not super high, but to me, yeah, I mean it's going to be worst for for Brooks, a split backfield where it's
22:4750/50, but I think Chuba comes out as the clear starter. This has been Dave Canales' guy. I know he's he's handing
22:54off play-calling duties, but this is but this was Canales' guy even after Rico Dowdle's run last season where he was running hotter than the sun.
23:01He came back and he gave Chuba the starting role. And for this team specifically, like we just really needed a decent RB2 RB3 combo. Like if if
23:10Swift, you know, gets hurt or takes a step back or whatever, we we needed a plug-and-play RB2.
23:16>> Yeah, Brooks has been tough. I just He's He's just like going like two or three rounds higher than I feel comfortable
23:22selecting him right now. Like there's like still like as you said, there's a 25% chance that he does overtake Hubbard and is the guy and if he starts to kind
23:32of live up to that second round draft capital they used on him, but I think there's also like a 25% chance that
23:37maybe he just isn't right and these injuries have sapped some of that explosiveness and he's a guy that barely sees the field. So uh especially in
23:46these best ball drafts, like there's there's a chance like you could be taking mostly zeros with him as well. So uh he's he's one of those, you know,
23:54you're it's a risk it, you know, risk it all for him, uh but he does have some real upside.
23:59>> He's only 22, so that does give me like a little bit of hope. He was very young coming out, so you'd say, "Okay, yeah,
24:06he's just a younger guy. Maybe he can come back." But a double ACL, man. And then, you know, he potentially had a
24:12setback on top of that ACL before he re-injured it, too. It's like that knee might be >> injury in November at Texas and
24:22he, you know, wasn't even like practicing at the start of the season.
24:25And yeah, it's like it seemed like they he was kind of rushed back and then he suffers the injury again.
24:32>> Yeah, there could be Yeah, there could be a lot wrong within that knee.
24:36Um yeah, Brad Brad Idzik taking over play-calling duties from Canales, but this is this is still a Canales offense.
24:42And Canales has been a great run game coordinator really since he, you know, started calling plays back with the Bucks.
24:49I'm I'm in on Chuba Hubbard. I think that's it's a fine pick. Absolutely fine pick in the middle of the sixth round.
24:55All right, we've got three great receivers here, guys. Nico, Rice, Devonta Smith. Feel very, very good about that.
25:01Um I do think we could maybe switch to tight end if we wanted to. Pitts, Fant, both on the board here.
25:06>> look there. We probably see we've got Fant.
25:12Kelsey.
25:13>> Yeah, nah.
25:14>> Nah.
25:15>> I'd rather have Pitts or Fant.
25:17>> I look kind of like LaPorta.
25:19>> When when Rice has been healthy, Kelsey's been like borderline unusable in fantasy. Like back in >> Oh, yeah, we do have both of them.
25:26>> Yeah.
25:28>> Um I I'd say I I think we got back half There's only two people that have selected tight ends behind us.
25:35Yeah. So we might have a little bit of a tight end run.
25:38I still feel kind of feel comfortable maybe going with the position.
25:42>> There goes Pitts. So if we want a tight end, it'd be Fant to me.
25:45Uh can we take one more look at running back, Trey, before we make this pick?
25:50>> Yeah, Dowdle.
25:51>> I mean, I love Korm in best ball, but >> Ooh.
25:54>> What about Price?
25:55>> Jadarian Price here.
25:56>> Oh.
25:57>> Mhm.
25:58>> I'm not like I'm not taking my pick here, Graham.
26:00>> [laughter] >> This is uh >> Tom and I had a talk about Jadarian >> took the safe guy with Chubba.
26:06>> Yeah, let's let's take the upside guy.
26:07Take Let's take Jadarian Price. Yeah, I >> I'd say we're kind of finished at running back after this, but >> Yeah, no, I We're completely done at
26:13running back. So actually we I think we're totally done at running >> I think we're going to get a good tight
26:17end coming back here. I >> Yeah.
26:19>> We got LaPorta. I like Dallas Goedert a lot. Um You You were saying we got already have receivers here.
26:25Kelsey doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but >> Well, that You know, I know I'm with you guys this year. I don't really love
26:31going three receivers in rounds two through four, but I think we we've nailed it, honestly.
26:35>> Well, like getting a getting an upside running back like Price here. Like it's it's so easy to make the bull case for Price. Um I
26:43understand the bear case. I mean, just like just like seven, eight years ago we saw it happen with Rashaad Penny. The
26:48difference is there isn't a a Carson on this team, at least until Zach Charbonnet returns, right? Like there isn't a guy who has proven to be a solid
26:56NFL back. So no, I I love I love that upside swing with D'Wayne Price. And we have two guys who can we can plug in
27:03there while we wait for D'Wayne Price.
27:05>> Exactly. Yeah, for the team build it makes a ton of sense. The Seahawks were number one in backfield expected fantasy
27:12points last season. And I do expect that to come down. Obviously, you know, they're going to regress. This happens every year with Super Bowl teams. They
27:18won 14 games last year. If they win 10 still regression.
27:21>> Yeah.
27:22>> The big thing that matters to me is when Zach Charbonnet comes back. Um that's the thing I'm monitoring.
27:29Excuse me, that's the thing I'm monitoring the most throughout training camp because I To me, Emmanuel Wilson, George like Pola-Mao, like dude, these
27:35guys like I don't know. They're just roster fodder kind of players. Like I I could see a scenario where Price is
27:40both like a front-end back-weighted player because Zach Charbonnet, I mean, he might not be 100% until after Halloween.
27:48>> Yeah, Charbonnet, that is going to be, you know, something that we're going to be monitoring closely in August if if
27:54there's any kind of negativity coming out, uh Price is a guy that should see his ADP rise. Uh but yeah, if it's it's
28:02looking the opposite way, maybe Charbonnet is trending uh you know, up and maybe maybe he's back and healthy by mid-October, early November, uh maybe
28:11that does hurt Price. But uh yeah, that that's one we haven't gotten a whole lot because the injury was so late. It was
28:18what, middle of January when that happened. So >> Yeah, it was late and then Tom, he had to wait to get surgery.
28:23>> Yeah, what's that?
28:24>> He had to wait. He had to wait to get surgery. He didn't get surgery till February 20th, I believe. It was after
28:29the Super Bowl.
28:29>> Yeah.
28:30>> So that puts him mid-October if you do the the 9-month. That's kind of the standard. You got to rest for 9 months
28:37if you have just the ACL. So Um yeah, that's uh Maybe I need to be higher on Price. I I I thought I was going to be super high
28:46on him and I I feel like I've cooled off a little bit and doing the the radio show with Joe here
28:51this morning, he's still very high on Price and maybe I need to reconsider him a little bit more.
28:56>> I think it's two things with him. I think a lot of people got burned by rookie running backs last year, and I
29:00think just, you know, it's just a little bit of like, you know, bias from that from last year, but it's also like Price
29:05to be honest. Like, he's not necessarily a slam dunk prospect. I thought he his his rushing metrics were very good, but
29:12he only caught six passes last year. I I went back and watched all of them. Like, three of them were on like swing passes,
29:18but he did like, you know, he did he had his his hands out in front. He showed the ability to track and catch the ball.
29:23But yeah, I mean, he was just not close to a slam dunk prospect at all. Uh all right, Trey, I see you queuing up some
29:29receivers here, man. We got our two tight ends that kind of yeah, Fanning and Pitts. Uh LaPorta's gone.
29:36>> Mhm.
29:36>> Um I think we just could push tight end to be honest here, guys, at this point.
29:40>> fine with that.
29:41We need to get a We got three picks left here, so we could need to get a quarterback and a tight end at some
29:46point. What do we got at the quarterback position?
29:48>> Yeah, I think honestly we could push quarterback as well. This is a big flat tier unless you guys feel real strong
29:53about uh let's see, Herbert is gone.
29:56That's kind of my guy right now. He just went actually.
29:59>> Yeah.
30:00Oh, man. There's a bunch that look good here.
30:02>> Yeah, there's there's yeah, let's push quarterback and tight end. I think this is I think this is a wide receiver spot,
30:07yeah.
30:08Yeah.
30:09I would have maybe said Quorum just as like one more bench stash, but he just went as well.
30:13>> Yeah. Quorum's Quorum's is such an easier click in best ball because you know, like, you don't have to worry about him clogging your roster at the
30:19beginning of the season because Quorum's an entirely a bet on Kyren getting hurt, right? Like, that's what that is because if he does, he becomes like a top five
30:27running back.
30:28>> Yeah, I'm with you, Tom. He's like a low-end flex. I think it'll be 60/40 like it was last year. Probably a little
30:35touchdown upside.
30:37Trey, I you didn't put Quentin Johnston in here, man. Like, what Well, he's been your guy. Quentin Johnston he not in the
30:43queue.
30:44I would honestly have Makai Lemon as the highest ranked player of all the receivers in this queue, but I don't want to take two Eagles receivers for
30:50this team.
30:52I love Jalen Hurts, but not that much.
30:54Um >> [laughter] >> Literally just Quentin Johnston here.
30:59>> Quentin Johnston.
31:00>> Um what do you guys think here? QJ I I am into QJ. Wan'Dale we could go floor if you feel like we need a floor
31:06receiver for PPR. Jayden Reed's interesting.
31:09Um >> You guys like Pearsall >> is kind of like a tier below these guys to me.
31:13>> Jordan Addison you guys like at all?
31:15>> Nah, I like QJ more.
31:16>> Okay.
31:17>> Yeah. All right, let's go QJ.
31:18>> Yeah, let's go QJ.
31:19>> Oh, baby.
31:21Getting >> Why do you like QJ so much? I I I've warmed up to him. I I do think we're going to get maybe some more of the
31:26after catch stuff that we saw at TCU. I think he's been kind of misused a little bit. Is that part of the reasoning?
31:33>> Yeah, I think there's some under tapped upside here, man. I think you know, you mentioned you know, the horizontally breaking routes and being such a good
31:39you know, player on you know, on those as well. Obviously, he's been a good deep threat. The hands are very inconsistent. I think that's just always
31:47going to be a problem with him.
31:48>> better last year.
31:49>> A little better last year, but I went back and looked at this. So, over the last two seasons Ladd McConkey and QJ
31:55have played in 27 games together.
31:57Literally, Ladd has just 27 more targets than QJ in those 27 games. It's an average of literally just one target per
32:04game. QJ's an underrated target earner and then now we got this like multiplier effect to McDaniels taking play calling.
32:12Obviously, Justin Herbert is a fantastic quarterback capable of of getting getting the ball any point on the field.
32:20I I I really really think QJ is I think he's the he's my favorite Charger receiver to draft right now. I
32:27just I can't do it with Ladd in like the third or fourth round. I just I think he's overpriced as like a
32:33pretty good wide receiver two, but people are drafting him like he has wide receiver one upside and maybe I'll be wrong on that, but
32:40I think I think this is going to be a little closer of a target split than most people are anticipating.
32:46>> Yeah, I he's definitely one of those guys that people have feel burned by, too. And he's naturally probably a little bit lower than than you might
32:55think looking at ADP. It's definitely kind of changed here over the last month. He's definitely picked up some steam, but I think people haven't had
33:02the best experiences with Quentin Johnston, either, so >> Listen, neither have I.
33:08Neither have I, but you know, we this is it's a new game every single year that we have to solve. That's why I love
33:12fantasy so much is cuz like it's a different puzzle every single year. And yeah, QJ has always been like kind of a
33:19meme'd player. But guys, he's he has 16 expected touchdowns in these 27 games with Ladd over the last two seasons.
33:26Ladd has 12. Like he there's touchdown upside, there's target to earning potential.
33:30And you can draft him as your wide receiver four in the eighth round. I love how this team shaked out for us.
33:37I think for the running back room it worked out real well, and now we've got some four very good receivers, playable
33:42receivers. We'll be happy playing QJ in the flex some weeks. We're going to double up on quarterback and tight end.
33:48In my opinion, I think we should just push tight end to the last round, and we'll just take one of the guys here.
33:53Do you guys feel strongly about Dart, Mahomes, Purdy just went, Dak just went. I would have Caleb Williams just went. Um
34:01>> Yeah, we got we got to lose a little bit on those guys cuz I thought one of those guys would come back around.
34:07>> I agree.
34:07>> Yeah, I thought we might get Dak or something.
34:10>> Um >> How do you feel about Mahomes?
34:13Or Stafford?
34:14>> I I haven't drafted a lot of Dart, but this is like >> Mahomes with Rice makes sense.
34:18>> I can get a little bit more.
34:19>> Yeah.
34:20>> Yeah, Mahomes is with Rice here, as well, if we want to do a little bit of a bit of a mini stack.
34:25>> Yeah, let's do it.
34:26>> Yeah, I like I let's go Mahomes.
34:28>> Yeah.
34:28>> I actually don't mind Bo Nix, either. I like I'm a little concerned that I'm a little concerned that like I mean, Jackson Dart isn't very good. I
34:36mean, like >> I think >> How do we know? Like, you know, he hasn't played a ton, you know, so >> Malik Neighbors, that whole situation I
34:43mean, we're going to be throwing to Malachi Fields and Darius Slayton.
34:48Isaiah Likely, obviously, he's still there, too, but >> Yeah, the rushing upside is the main thing with Dart, Joe. Cuz I'm with you.
34:55We've got questions with him as a passer, especially if Neighbors isn't fully healthy, but Yeah, that rushing upside is pretty damn
35:01good.
35:01>> like I could I could draft from Malik Willis if I'm like, you know, later in the draft if I'm drafting for rushing
35:07upside, so I I I feel like he's got to make some progress as a passer to feel better about selecting him over like a guy like
35:13Mahomes, so >> Yeah, I'll have my I don't love Mahomes this year, either, but that's that's okay.
35:18>> Yeah.
35:18>> Yeah. No, right here he's fine. He was probably what I think we were the last team to draft a quarterback, yep. So, QB
35:2412.
35:24>> Uh looks like uh number nine has not picked one, either, but Oh, no, he has.
35:29Number one.
35:30>> No, he's got May.
35:32Yeah, he's got May. Yeah, so I mean, he's QB 12. That's perfectly fine for him. All right, let's sort out tight end
35:37here, guys.
35:38>> Yeah.
35:40>> Andrews, Goedert, Ferguson.
35:43Uh I can't do it with Kincaid or In Ronde Gadsden. Shout out to Trey.
35:48>> I know I know Kincaid like the met the advanced metrics pop. The problem is he doesn't effing play.
35:53>> Yeah, it's very easy [laughter] to have Joe, it's very easy to have a three yards per route run when you're running
35:5712 routes per game. That's really easy.
36:00You know, you're playing with Josh Allen and you barely play.
36:02>> Honestly, if like I I feel like I need to take Kincaid as like a tight end two like just to if I can need to drop him
36:10or what, you know, if you want to see early season, but yeah, I I >> He's never played more than 70% of the
36:15routes, Tom.
36:16>> He's healthy now. Now, I do.
36:18>> [laughter] >> Do you want to double up the Mahomes stack and and take and take T? Killa Trav?
36:24>> Nah, because every time when Rice plays, Kelse is like a back end top maybe even top like outside of top 15
36:33tight end. He's just not produced and now he's a year older. I would want Andrews, I think.
36:38That's where my head's at.
36:39>> Yeah, we already have Devonta Smith though.
36:41>> Yeah, cuz Goddert >> No, I don't want to I want to Goddert.
36:43Yeah, I think Andrews probably makes the most sense then.
36:46>> Yeah, he gets in touch.
36:47>> spread it out a little bit. We already have uh, Kelse with Rice and Devonta Smith with Dallas Goddert. Andrews makes sense for
36:55me there.
36:56>> there's a chance that Andrews gets back to being like full-time player. They you know, let Charlie Kolar walk, he's now on the
37:01Chargers. Let Isaiah walk, he's now on the Giants.
37:04Uh, I think Andrews gets back to playing.
37:07>> Yeah, but >> He did not snipe Yeah, Brently could have sniped us there. He wanted He went Goddert. Uh, I think Andrews and Goddert
37:13are extremely close this season.
37:14>> Are you worried about Durham Smythe and coming in and stealing routes from him or They did draft some guys late that
37:22Hipner, but uh, you know, I'm not >> Hipner Hipner compared himself to uh, Isaiah Likely by the way.
37:29>> Oh, interesting. Okay.
37:31Interesting.
37:31>> Makes some sense then.
37:33>> Yeah.
37:33>> All right.
37:34>> Well, let's see what the >> Let's team shake out great here guys. We took McCaffrey here at 106, came back,
37:39took three straight receivers, all of which I I expect to be like 28, 30% target share this season and then this
37:45running back room shake out real well for us. Swift, Hubbard and Price.
37:48Uh, Swift and Hubbard kind of boring top 24 back end RB2s. Shot for the moon with Judarian Price. And uh, Trey, you got
37:56your boy QJ. I mean Trey Trey's day is finished here, man. He's He's He's pumped [laughter] that we got his boy.
38:02>> You know he's You know he's been driven to sickness in the head if you if Quinton Johnston is making his day. So.
38:09>> [laughter] >> Hey, we've all got We all got sickness, man. We got the fantasy football sickness here. Uh, we're going to shake
38:14out these last couple of picks.
38:16Uh, looks like yep, all three of these next four and the four of these next season here.
38:21>> ran out of talent is to run out of time because Oh, there he comes.
38:24>> Yeah, I was about to say we're going to get some late round running backs here.
38:27I'm interested to see who these guys pick. Uh he took Pacheco for his RB4.
38:34Um any favorite teams here popping for you guys? Uh I know uh back into that first round, Jefferson, Hampton, Loveland, and
38:41Jackson. That's pretty interesting.
38:43>> That's that's Oh, the the rainbow start with four different positions.
38:47>> Yeah, I I kind of like doing that there cuz the running back room just really falls falls off a cliff at 312, Joe.
38:53>> Yeah, it does. And then well, you got Judkins, which it's in the sixth round is totally fine. I'm I'm >> Oh yeah, Judkins in Yeah, sixth round is
39:00great. Yeah.
39:01>> Uh this the CD Lamb, Saquon, Garrett Wilson, Luther Burden start is kind of buzzy.
39:07That's like um the like with Garrett Garrett Wilson, you know, I know Scott's been talking him up just like, "Hey, what if he's had atrocious quarterback
39:14play just his entire career?"
39:16Um >> Enter Geno Smith.
39:19>> [laughter] >> I'll tell you what, this one's This one in the nine hole is really risky because Malik Nabers is the first receiver.
39:28>> Yeah. I have to say that.
39:29>> And he's not going to play at the start of the season. And then you have you have a room of Jaylen Waddle, Jordan
39:34Addison, and Alec Pierce. That is really risky. That's really putting That's really putting it on the line there. How about this How about this team, by the
39:42way? I don't love Bucky Irving in the fourth round, but man, getting Davante Adams in the fifth round as a wide
39:47receiver two is pretty pretty spicy. And I know you're not huge on Davante this year, Graham, but I don't know. That's a
39:53pretty good price to pay for 15 bucks.
39:55>> price. 5'8 for Adams is awesome. Then he comes back and gets, you know, Wan'Dale, super boring. Diggs is going to sign. I
40:00like that pick as well.
40:02Uh great great little draft here, guys.
40:04We got >> we got Purdy or like Caleb instead of Mahomes, I would say our team is pretty unassailable quite frankly.
40:11>> [laughter] >> I I I kind of agree.
40:13>> is once again, I'm just going to be uh just give me all the Brock Purdy in the world and I'll be pretty happy most
40:19weeks, and as long as he can just stay a little bit healthy this year, I think he's going to put up massive numbers
40:23again.
40:24>> Yeah, Tom, we do this every year where it's like, "Oh, Brock Purdy is like a back-end QB 11, QB 12 in ADP, but he's going to
40:30finish QB 6, QB 7 by points per game."
40:33>> got to draft those Iowa State guys. Keep Trey happy, you know, that's that's what we're looking to do, too.
40:39>> Great team, guys. Uh, from the top, we got Patrick Mahomes at quarterback last second-to-last round.
40:45McCaffrey 106, D'Andre Swift is our RB2, and then we've got Chubba Hubbard and Price to kind of back those guys up. And
40:50then this receiver room is nice. Nico, Rashee Rice, and DeVonta Smith with QJ as a little bit of upside as our wide
40:57receiver four.
40:59106 is in the books. If you haven't already, go back and listen to our 101 and 112 draft strategy videos. We're
41:06going to be dropping a bunch of these types of videos on this very channel for the rest of the summer.

41:22the league, cuz I kind of think we have the best team in the league, leave us a comment down below, and sound off there.
41:28For Joe, for Tom, I'm Graham. We'll see you at the top of the league, boys.
41:38>> [music]
