1:16We've been talking about the teams we like and don't like for months.
1:20We're in on this Jets offense more than almost anybody.
1:24And we're terrified of this Falcons offense. Even though you got Bijan, you got Kyle Pitts, you got Drake London, but you got two bad left-handed quarterbacks.
1:32And you certainly don't need to be tailing some fake betting expert on social media.
1:37Go to MyBookie and find the plays you already know you like and take a shot.
1:41That's what's cool about MyBookie. You can find the action you want and bet it wherever you are when the game kicks off.

2:11Bet on anything, anytime, anywhere. You're welcome. Yo, J-Mac and Future First gang.
2:16Are y'all panicking about Jamar Chase, your first round pick, not playing week one?
2:20Dude, lightweight. Futures now open. What it do? No labor for you.
2:24This is Future First podcast where we help you win today with the Future First mindset.
2:29I'm your co-host, J-Mac. Here with my co-host, Jose.
2:31Happy Labor Day, Jose. Happy Labor Day to all the future First gang out there.
2:36Hopefully you're not catching this rainy season that we're getting here in California.
2:40But it also feels like Florida because it's like it rained and then now it's going to be 90 degrees.
2:46It's a little bit crazy weather, man. But hopefully y'all will enjoy your labor day when you are listening to us tomorrow as we record this on Sunday.
2:55But yeah, happy labor day to you, J-Mac. Bro, a rain for you guys?
2:59Yeah, a lot. A decent amount. Bro, it's like mid-80s up here.
3:03Super nice, man. I'm sad to hear that for you, man.
3:06It was all good over here. We got blue skies, mild weather.
3:10But hey, man, let's just jump right into it.
3:13Let's get into this quick hit and talk about all these injuries and all the other news going on.
3:19You ready? Yeah, let's do it. All right, the quick hit.
3:22Bro, I think before we get into all the injury updates, we got to talk about Josh Jacobs, man.
3:28We dropped our last episode on Sunday, but we had recorded it.
3:32Sorry, Monday last week, but we recorded it on the Thursday prior.
3:35So we were kind of way far behind on it.
3:38We didn't even know the last time we released that he was going on the commissioner's exemplist.
3:44At that point, we were speculating that there was going to be a suspension and what it was going to mean.
3:50Because at that point, we just knew that the team was preparing to play without Josh Jacobs.
3:55Well, I mean, that's going on. Obviously, he's on the commissioner's exemplist now.
3:59There's been other news. Caleb Johnson got traded to the Packers.
4:03So now we have a new fighter in the mix.
4:06On top of that, Josh Jacobs recently just got his court date moved up from November to days before week one game
4:13or right around their week one game. Whatever that means, there's a lot of speculation going on about that, man.
4:19So just put it on out there, man. What are your thoughts on this whole situation and on Josh Jacobs here?
4:25Yeah, I mean, maybe I should become a Twitter legal expert or something.
4:29But I don't know. To me, it was feeling more and more like they were getting ready for the levy to break.
4:36Like maybe they thought somebody had gotten a hold of the video.
4:40It definitely seems like the NFL has seen it or has seen something about it.
4:45You know, the GM came out and said, hey, I haven't seen it.
4:49You know, baloney, somebody has seen it. They know.
4:51They're not making the moves they're making. The coach was talking about Jacobs being suspended weeks ago.
4:57So they've kind of known it feels like this has been in the works.
5:01It's something they've known about. You know, like not to speculate on what the video could look like.
5:07I mean, some people are getting out there, you know, duped with the Ray Rice video.
5:12It doesn't seem like from the reports of what happened, it's that bad.
5:16I was discussing it with somebody and it's like, you know, not to make light of any domestic violence ever.
5:22But in terms of what was described that happened, it's like some people are saying, you know, if it comes out, it could be career ending.
5:30I find that hard to believe just because of what was described that happened.
5:34I guess if he left her unconscious on the floor and like the optics of it all, you know, could be really bad.
5:41But my view is that he's just going to be gone for the first six games.
5:46I think that's where we're headed. He's definitely missing week one.
5:50I think with this moving up of the court date is just I think he just wants to get out of the way.
5:57I think he knows that he can either plea down or take the two misdemeanors.
6:01They're not felonies. Maybe before the video comes out, maybe he can get the NFL to, you know, get the court.
6:08The what's it called? The like a verdict. Right.
6:11And then just get the NFL. Hey, look, this I've been accused of this.
6:15This is what happened. I either pleaded to this or this is what I was charged with.
6:20I'm not going to jail. I'm doing X, Y, Z.
6:23Like, give me my suspension and let's let's get rolling.
6:26Right. Like it feels like the complete opposite of what the Ezekiel Elliott situation was.
6:31If you remember that back in the day where the Cowboys went back and forth, he missed like a game or two.
6:38And then they appealed and then back and forth.
6:41And then finally, he ended up being suspended towards the later half of the season.
6:45I think for the 14, sorry, the Packers and Josh Jacobs, they're probably looking at it.
6:50Let's just get this out of the way. Let's move on through.
6:54Maybe they're not predicting a full season of suspensions.
6:57They're probably looking at the domestic violence, you know, contracted conduct detrimental to the league six games.
7:02And they're like, let's let's roll without Jacobs for six, the early six games and then have him for the later season push.
7:09That's just how it feels to me. That's like reading the tea leaves.
7:13That's all I'm gathering from with that. Like the moves all say to me, like, that's the direction they want to head.
7:20Now, the NFL doesn't have to play that ball.
7:23They can wait. They can drag it out as long as they want.
7:27He could be on the exempt list the entire year.
7:30And, you know, I just don't foresee that happening, at least in terms of like the gravity of the things that he is going to court for.
7:38So that's where I'm on. Like I'm on the fence set of like within week one or two, we'll know.
7:44And then he'll get the suspension of six games.
7:47He's served two. So week seven, he's back playing for the Packers.
7:51Yeah, man, I'm kind of with you on those thoughts, or at least I had been with it, like thinking that the
7:58commissioner, and the NFL had seen the video and that's why they put him on the exempt list.
8:03But I'm kind of starting to back off that a little bit, that that assumption might be wrong.
8:09And I think they might have put him on the exempt list just because they knew there was video evidence of it happening.
8:16And they didn't want that video evidence to get leaked.
8:19And they wanted to get ahead of it and say that they were being proactive rather than reactive to the situation.
8:26So they just put him on the commissioner's exempt list, which would make a lot of sense then why Josh Jacobs would want that court date moved up.
8:34Because if he's going to only get a six-game suspension for this, why should he have to wait for his court date
8:41in November where he can't play at all for any of those games?
8:45He'd miss like 10 weeks if he waited to November for that court date to come through.
8:50Only for the six-game suspension to go through and he would be retroactive, he would essentially miss 10 games.
8:56So I think that's why like it feels weird, man.
8:59It does feel like we're kind of like taking puzzle pieces and kind of putting it together here with all the clues that we have.
9:07But that kind of seems like a likely story.
9:10Like that could actually happen. And maybe nobody actually has seen the video outside of the police department and, you know, the parties involved in the court case.
9:18So I don't know. I think we're saying, I think the ending of like what we both think is the same, like
9:25whether they've seen it or not, that or they wanted to kind of box Jacobs in where he was just like kind
9:32of maybe going to try to do the Zeke or some of the things, you know, other players have done, which is
9:39like drag it out and be like, well, we'll see what happens in court.
9:43And then they're like, well, here's the exemplist. What are you going to do now?
9:48Like you want to wait until November? Like let's, you know, so it feels like definitely the NFL, I don't think wanted
9:55to get caught with their pants down Ray Rice situation again, not at all.
9:59So they were just like, hey, we've heard there's a video whether they saw it or not.
10:04Let's let's make sure we don't, you know, week two comes around.
10:08Jacobs is on the field and all of a sudden this video drops on the timeline and we're back in the same situation.
10:15So either way, I think it does mean it's there should be a quicker resolution, right?
10:20Like for Jacobs, if he's not ready to plea or he's not ready to take a deal, it doesn't really that makes
10:27sense for him to get put like, you know.
10:30So either way, like you said, we're putting puzzle pieces together.
10:33But I do think we'll get a resolution here within a couple of weeks.
10:37Now, for you, are you doing anything with this?
10:40Did this change your mind for me personally? Yeah, for me personally.
10:44I mean, and you saw it, it put me to work in rebuilding leagues.
10:48I'm trying to acquire Jacobs on the cheap and flip them in six weeks for even if it's not a huge gain,
10:55if I can take a second or third worth of value or even like a minute, like a first and then flip it into something else.
11:03Another young player, you like flip them back into a contenders team or if somebody is really worried that he's going to miss the whole year.
11:11That's kind of my my M.O. that I've been trying to do.
11:15It could backfire, but I'm also not spending tons of capital to do that.
11:19But do you feel the same way? In Dynasty, I'm less likely to want to move on to that.
11:25But I have been making more moves to try and get him into redraft.
11:29Like I drafted him yesterday in like the eighth round where, you know, he was like one of my first bench pieces.
11:36And I was like, this is this is an upside play at this point.
11:40Because honestly, I think we're all assuming a six week suspension.
11:44It could be less than that. Right. I mean, with this six week timeline is coming off of felonies and domestic violence
11:51cases or charges, which it's neither of those things.
11:53Right. I mean, we have aggravated assault and it's a misdemeanor.
11:57So like to me, like this this could play really favorable to Josh Jacobs, where how many times do we overreact saying like his career is done?
12:05And then like a month later, we're like, what were we doing?
12:09You know, like it really does kind of feel like that's going on here.
12:13But let's talk about the other half of this.
12:16Right. Which is the rest of the backfield with Marshawn Lloyd, Chris Brooks and Caleb Johnson, which is kind of where I've
12:23been trying to make my moves in Dynasty. Is I've been trying to move my Marshawn Lloyd shares.
12:28I think up until this point, I was kind of just waiting and seeing and I wasn't really shopping Lloyd, but I
12:35was open to hearing offers for him. I didn't really ever get any great ones.
12:40I have a ton of Lloyd, by the way, it's like 25 percent or something.
12:44But now that this like you said, this kind of timeline is accelerated.
12:49The window is closing for Marshawn Lloyd, right? Like it's now or never to kind of get a moved.
12:54So, yeah. And then like Caleb Johnson, I have no hope for Caleb Johnson.
12:59If someone wants to, you know, buy in on Caleb Johnson and give me something valuable for him, then I'm fine punting him off the bridge Baxter style.
13:07But other than that, man, like Chris Brooks is kind of a nothing burger for me.
13:12And I don't know how you see the rest of the backfield.
13:16Yeah, I mean, I think. Caleb Johnson is like a decent I think he would be the guy like it seems like
13:23he was taking the first team reps. Like I think they would like him more.
13:27He I think fits that that build of what they're trying to do more on their center than Marshawn Lloyd does.
13:34But, you know, who knows? Maybe it'd be none of them if Jacobs returned and then got hurt.
13:40I mean, Jacobs has been hurt in the past.
13:42So I think he's a decent handcuff to just hang on to.
13:46If you can sell him for anything like we talked about on the previous episode, I think definitely that now is the time.
13:53If you burn the first round pick, you got to just like delete that from your mind and just be like some value return is better than nothing.
14:02But otherwise, yeah, I don't think, you know, you have much more time to do anything with these pieces if you want to do something.
14:10Yeah, the window is closing, like we're saying. And I don't know, I guess the thing with Marshawn Lloyd I was holding
14:16on to at least is like the camp buzz on him was great.
14:20He looked good. He's been playing well. He looks explosive.
14:23There's just been a lot of, you know, dynasty community buzz about him, like doubt in him and him not having more
14:30than 130 carries since like high school and never putting it on film.
14:34It's like, dude, that's true with a lot of guys that come in and kind of do it unproven.
14:40Like this is a highly respected running back coming out of that class.
14:44So I don't know. I don't this situation feels impossible to really sniff out.
14:49I think the winners are the people who traded Marshawn Lloyd for Josh Jacobs a week ago.
14:54Yeah, 100 percent. All right. We had another big headline.
14:57Michael Wilson signed a three year deal for 75 million extension with 45 million guaranteed.
15:02How are you reading that, man? Yeah, I mean, I think he's good for the organization and they like him.
15:08So it doesn't to me necessarily do much to Marvin Harrison Jr.
15:11Like off the rip. We'll see on the field how that works.
15:15I think the Cardinals are preparing like the future for the future coming forward with, you know, a rookie quarterback and they
15:22want to have some of these pieces nailed down.
15:25They got Jeremiah Love. They have Marvin Harrison Jr.
15:28Under contract. I think it's after this year, two more years if they get his fifth year option.
15:33Now you have Michael Wilson. So they're seeming like they're trying to put the obviously they have McBride, who's one of the
15:40highest pilotarians ever or whatever the situation is. So look, they're looking like they're trying to kind of put pieces together to,
15:47you know, maybe like Caleb Williams style, like come in and you have a set offense.
15:52And now you're just hoping you draft the right quarterback to put in that situation, not throw him into like a Bryce
15:58Young where you have no running back. You're on the wide receiver.
16:02You have nothing. You're like just expected to somehow be the entire offense as a rookie.
16:07So it does seem like they're setting that up.
16:10I think if you get an elite player that can take advantage of a McBride, Wilson and Marvin Harrison Jr.
16:16Like there's nothing to fear there. There should be enough there.
16:20We see it with other offenses. It's just too hard to project into the future.
16:24It definitely tells me that, you know, they might not be super sold on Marvin Harrison Jr.
16:29For sure for the future. Right. Because if you do that, Michael Wilson isn't like some sort of that special player that
16:36you need to lock down right now. But, you know, they definitely want to make sure they're, you know, crossing their T's
16:43and dotting their I's, I think, for the future.
16:46And that's how I read into it. Yeah, they're the next, you know, Caleb Williams situation where this is the best situation a rookie quarterback's ever walked into.
16:54Right. I mean, that really feels like what's happening here.
16:58And we had week one of college football happen this weekend.
17:01And there was a lot of great quarterback play, which is what the 2027 class that and the wide receivers have lived up to thus far.
17:09Week one. Obviously, let's not overreact. But it's looking promising already for these quarterbacks to come in.
17:14And, you know, Arch had a really good weekend.
17:17And then you had Dante Moore with Oregon who had a stellar game.
17:21So, hey, man, like you said, like really just setting it up, setting the stage for a rookie quarterback to come in and make the difference.
17:29They even got to maybe do they have their head coach of the future too, right?
17:34The LeFleur of the, you know, the McVay tree.
17:37Like, dude, the Cardinals could be good as soon as next year.
17:41Yeah, I think, you know, obviously it's all kind of dependent on how does this year.
17:46I mean, I'm guessing they're hoping it doesn't go too well in terms of the amount of games they win with Brissette.
17:52But, you know, it's always kind of hard to trust an organization like the Cardinals to do it right.
17:58Right. Like we've seen it with the Jets, the Cardinals, et cetera.
18:02These teams, like they just continuously kind of seem like they're on the upswing and then end up shooting themselves in the foot.
18:09You know, like the Josh Rosen draft. Like, you know, we know the plethora of mistakes that they've made.
18:15So it definitely will be interesting. I mean, I think for Michael Wilson, if you had him in Dynasty or you acquired
18:22him after last season, you feel very good, right?
18:24Like this is a very positive thing for you, like if you were a believer in him.
18:30So all around, I think pretty positive news for everybody involved.
18:33Yeah, man. He was on waivers like this time last year in a lot of leagues, which is crazy.
18:39All right. Let's transition into the injury updates because there's a lot of them going around here.
18:44None of them that are too serious here. We got some probable for week one players, which are Brie Saul, Luther Burden,
18:51Tyler Warren, Sam Laporta, Puka Nakua, who fully practiced.
18:54Then we have Tucker Craft, who was a full participant all week as well.
18:58So those guys got upgraded to probable for week one.
19:01Questionable are still Ashton Gentry, Jeremiah Love, Malik Neighbors, Mike Evans, and George Kittle.
19:06Although George Kittle is looking like he's going to play.
19:09He traveled with them to Australia and he's looking to practice on Monday.
19:13So that would be today if you're listening to it when this came out.
19:17Alec Pierce practiced for the first time Thursday. Jonathan Brooks and Chuba Hubbard are still questionable.
19:22Kyle Monongai. And then Jamar Chase and Tee Higgins were do not practices all week, which we heard on Monday that they
19:29were going to be limited, but they weren't limited.
19:32They just didn't practice. Jamar Chase hyperstended his knee on that one play when he came down on it.
19:38I think this was two weeks ago now. Tee Higgins has a heel contusion or something going on.
19:43You never know with Tee, man. He's got bad meat.
19:46So how are you reading that situation, man, with these Bengals here?
19:50Yeah, I mean, it's definitely not what you want to hear, right?
19:54Like these prominent, especially Jamar Chase, who's the first wide receiver off the board sometimes at like 103, right?
19:59Or if somebody gets crazy, 102 in front of one of the running backs.
20:04You hope that it's going to be resolved. Sadly, we don't.
20:07When we're recording, we don't know if they practice.
20:10Maybe Monday comes out and they practice fully and, you know, it's all not to worry.
20:15But going into the first week of the season, this is not the type of thing you want to hear, especially a knee.
20:22At least it's not a soft tissue injury that you're worrying about.
20:26Like some of the guys you mentioned earlier, Hall, Reese Hall, Luther, Bird, and Tyler Warren.
20:31Those are groins. So that although they're probable to play, it's always the risk of like, you know, you pull up, you
20:38know, three plays in and they're, you know, re-injuring or re-aggravating that.
20:41So that's a little bit scary. But yeah, I mean, it's definitely a worrying thing to start the season that way, right?
20:48You never want to start with a questionable tag on your first round pick when you're, you know, first starting the season
20:55or, you know, the cornerstone of your dynasty like Jamar Chase is.
20:59Yeah, I'm lightweight concerned. And I mean, I would have felt better if you were limited this week, but just maybe they're playing it safe, right?
21:07I mean, we're one week out from the NFL season kickoff, right?
21:10So maybe that was their mind frame going forward.
21:13And like you said, like by the time people are listening to this, Jamar Chase is fully practicing.
21:19That would be amazing for both of us who have some Jamar Chase shares that we're kind of banking on here.
21:25But yeah, nonetheless, there's still some more here. We are a little bit unclear on these next guys, which are Emeka Agbuka
21:32with a toe sprain, Jalen McMillan on the same team.
21:35Keaton Mitchell hasn't practiced in a whole week now.
21:38He has an undisclosed injury. Wheels up for Amari Hampton.
21:41Khalil Shakir undisclosed. Alvin Kamara with his MCL. And then Travion Henderson pulled up on the injury report this week with an
21:48ankle and has yet to practice even as soon as today.
21:51I was reading there was reports he still wasn't on the field today.
21:55So that's a little bit concerning, you know, getting an injury that late into the preseason going into season next week, man.
22:02Are you worried about any of those guys here?
22:05Yeah. I mean, I think Agbuka and Hendo are probably the biggest ones.
22:09I mean, Hendo was already going to be competing with Ramondre, who clearly the coaching staff likes.
22:14He was clearly going to be playing behind him and just getting hurt.
22:18And now starting the season that way, it kind of just lends itself to Ramondre.
22:23Resolidifying himself. Any doubts of being the number one guy there?
22:26And just, you know, if you're counting on Hendo as like, you know, even a very solid RB2, I think that's going to be shaky.
22:34You're going to hope for those big plays from him.
22:37I just don't know if he's going to get the touches.
22:40And then with Agbuka, like turf toe, no turf toe, sprain toe, you know, big toe, little toe, like whatever.
22:47It's not good, right? Like you as an explosive wide receiver, you need that.
22:51And whether it's a sprain toe or turf toe, like those things can linger.
22:55They can be problematic. Some of these other guys on this close, like Keaton Mitchell and Khalil Shakir.
23:01I mean, I guess the teams are kind of just taking advantage that they don't technically have to report anything like solid, right?
23:08Like they don't have to report on an injury report.
23:11So this coming week, starting Monday, we'll actually get, you know, fully, I think some of the information on these guys of
23:18what's exactly going on, including Agbuka and Hendo. I think for those guys, you're really hoping they start the week off for
23:25if to have them week one and limited practice.
23:27Like if they're starting DMP right away, I'm probably just already making provisions that they're not going to be in my lineup.
23:34For Henderson, I'm probably even trying to bench him if I can just for the week one, no matter what.
23:40Even if he's suiting up with an ankle and running behind Ramondre, like I'm okay with week one, him kind of popping
23:47off and being on the bench and, you know, waiting for week two.
23:51Yeah, man. I mean, Emeka Ibuka pulling the Dr.
23:54Seuss on us here. Big toe, little toe, spring toe, turf toe.
23:58Exactly. Yeah. I love it, man. All right. Well, let's get into our episode here.
24:02We're going to be talking about the watch list.
24:05So guys that we want to look at going into the season, we have interest in them in one way or another.
24:12So we're going to break that down and get into quite a few guys and maybe not just guys, maybe some situations
24:19that we want to look at as well. Just a couple announcements we want to get to before that.
24:25If you guys are looking for your roster review services, now's the time to do it before the season kicks off.

24:55Shout out to Fox who's been helping us with our graphics.
24:58You can follow her on xappifoxworth07. All right, man.
25:01Let's hear a word from the Podfather and then we'll dive into our watch list.
25:05Does that sound good? Yes, sir. Let's do it.
25:08If you play in Dynasty, you need Dynasty Deluxe, our premium package for Dynasty Leaguers.
25:13We rank over 300 players, updated every week, all year long.
25:16And there's a win now mode and a rebuild mode with super flex and tight end premium controls.
25:22And a Dynasty League sync where you can say, sync down all of my sleeper teams, all my FFPC teams.
25:28And then you can browse around your leagues for who has needs.
25:32And then you can use our trade finder to see what kinds of trades are happening in leagues that are similar to the one I want to do.
25:40Then you can analyze trades using our trade analyzer, which balances the lifetime value, which includes pick values out to like 2028.
25:47All of that plus the rookie guide $25 value is included.
25:51So if you're just in one Dynasty League, Dynasty Deluxe is well worth it.
25:55And use your host's promo code and you can bump up to all in and get $25 off.
26:01Football is back, baby. And whether you've been betting for years or you're just looking to put a little action on the
26:07games, my bookie needs to be added to your list of places to go line shopping.
26:12We've been talking about the teams we like and don't like for months.
26:16We're in on this Jets offense more than almost anybody.
26:19And we're terrified of this Falcons offense. Even though you got Bijan, you got Kyle Pitts, you got Drake London.
26:26But you got two bad left-handed quarterbacks. And you certainly don't need to be telling some fake betting expert on social media.
26:32Go to my bookie and find the plays you already know you like and take a shot.
26:38That's what's cool about my bookie. You can find the action you want and bet it wherever you are when the game kicks off.
26:45And if you're new to the club, the bet back bonus gives you protection on your first play.
26:51Sign up with promo code PLAYER to opt into the bet back bonus and take your first shot with a safety net.
26:57If your wager loses, you get it right back.
27:00No questions asked. Football is finally here. Get in now and cash in on the season with my bookie with promo code
27:07PLAYER to get that bet back bonus. Bet on anything, anytime, anywhere.
27:11You're welcome. All right. Welcome in to the watch list.
27:14Jose's got his binoculars out. We are on the hunt.
27:17The watch list sounds like something that's not good, right?
27:20I mean, like... A very negative connotation. Yes. As soon as you said it earlier, I was like, man, maybe this is the...
27:27Whatever. We'll roll with it. We're going. It's positive or negative.
27:31We'll, you know... Yeah, man. These are the guys we want to watch, right?
27:35We're just making a list. Not because we need to watch them.
27:39They haven't done anything wrong. Yeah. It's a watch list.
27:42I mean, Santa Claus is always watching. So we're just in the positive way.
27:46That's right. Watching these guys. Are they going to be naughty or nice to us this NFL season?
27:52Hopefully nice for most of them. I'm going to kick it off here with my first one, man.
27:57And it's Christian Watson. There's been a lot of buzz for Christian Watson coming off of last season where he closed out.
28:04Had an amazing run on the season here where he looked really good.
28:08He finally got healthy. He wasn't dealing with the soft tissue issues that he had going.
28:13And prior, he was doing... What was the injury that he did have going on?
28:18I think it was a foot or something. But just that hot start or hot finish that he had on the year
28:24has caused a lot of buzz for him to play this year.
28:28If he can play a full healthy year, we know the explosiveness he plays with.
28:33We know the ceiling that he can get to.
28:36We saw his rookie year playing with Aaron Rodgers where he scored like seven touchdowns over like four games or something crazy like that.
28:43Obviously, he's not playing with Aaron Rodgers anymore. He's got Jordan Love.
28:47But they got the offense to kind of go with him here.
28:50And yeah, I'm looking at his stats now. For last year on 55 targets, which was good enough for almost a 20% target share.
28:58He finished off with 35 receptions for 611 yards and six receiving touchdowns.
29:02There's a lot of hope for him out there.
29:05But yet, for some reason, his stock just still hasn't really taken off yet.
29:09So that means that there's people out there still doubting Christian Watson, right?
29:13They've been burned once. They've probably been burned more than once on Christian Watson.
29:17But here's why I'm interested in Christian Watson, right?
29:20Because like I said, we do know the ceiling here.
29:23But they have the third easiest strength of schedule from weeks one through four.
29:27They're playing the Vikings, the Jets, the Falcons, and the Bucs.
29:31We're assuming there's going to be no Josh Jacobs, right?
29:34Which, if Marshawn Lloyd and Caleb Johnson can't step up, or Chris Brooks for that matter, can't step up to fill in
29:41that role, there's probably going to be a heavier emphasis on the passing game here.
29:45And if they have an easier strength of schedule, which I think the Vikings is actually a pretty rough schedule or a matchup for them.
29:53They have a really good secondary. But the Bucs and the Falcons and the Jets, I think, can be beaten.
29:59I think that they could get off to a hot start here.
30:03And Christian Watson's value could really spike, especially because that hopium has been building in this offseason here, right?
30:09Whenever you have this controversial value in a player where some people are buying in and some people aren't, as soon as
30:16it's being seen, that realization of that value finally comes to fruition.
30:19And it just spikes and goes through the roof.
30:22So I'm kind of really interested to see what happens in these first four weeks here with Christian Watson and to see
30:29if that can really take off and that value can kind of hit the ceiling that a lot of people have kind of been projecting this year.
30:37Yeah, I mean, definitely in redrafts, I see him going pretty high.
30:41I'm never able to really get my hands on any Christian Watson shares this season.
30:46Just I think he's going higher than a little bit than I want to.
30:50And two weeks in, then you're like, oh, Christian Watson's down.
30:54He's going to be out for five weeks. That would be the least unsurprising thing to happen.
30:59I don't somewhat understand where the injury concerns were just waving them away.
31:03He didn't play fully healthy last season. He's never played more than 15 games.
31:07Like this is not a player that you can rely on.
31:11I understand that the talent is there. That's always the thing with him.
31:15But availability is a big factor. I think if he's on your watch list in this manner or like if he were
31:21to be on mine, it would be for a potential sell high or tear up like in a redraft.
31:27If I can take Watson, oh, man, two 25 plus point games, kind of like the Ibuka of last year.
31:33And I can go get me an injured player.
31:36Maybe Malik neighbors that's starting slow or just a player I believe in more.
31:41I'm doing it. Same in Dynasty. If I can take Christian Watson and just, you know, get the headache of will he get hurt?
31:48Will he not? I also don't think Christian Watson is that level of a talent where he's going to put up a top seven wide receiver season.
31:56You're going to be like, wow, my God, I can't believe I traded him away.
32:01Right. Like I find that very hard to believe.
32:04So in that situation, like how high can you tear up?
32:07How well? Like obviously we have to see the first four weeks.
32:11How much does he light it up? But if he really explodes and comes out of the gate, maybe like a 40 point game, like something like that.
32:20Obviously, you know, people get sharper and sharper. They don't fall for those things.
32:24But there's always somebody in the league that does.
32:27Right. You play in experienced leagues and somebody does end up falling for it or, you know, going for that, you know, sort of bait.
32:34So that's how I would have him on my watch list.
32:38I definitely don't disagree. Like if he can stay healthy, I think you're looking at a big value increase for where he has been.
32:45Honestly, that I'm along the same lines with you here.
32:48That's kind of why I put him on here.
32:51Right. It's because as soon as that value gets realized, it feels like the right time to sell.
32:57Like you said, like I don't necessarily see him as that elite asset.
33:01But if you can use him to kind of tier up into one of those elite assets, that feels like the perfect
33:07stepping stone and the perfect use of Christian Watson in that kind of scenario there.
33:12So why don't we flip the scripts here, man, and go ahead and give us your first player on the watch list.
33:19Who you got your binoculars out for? Yeah, I mean, it's actually a couple of players.
33:24And these are actually two teams that a lot of my takes and what I'm going to talk about today are kind
33:31of centered around because it just feels like I've been in drafts, right?
33:35This biggest draft weekend of the season. And I've just been facing this sort of decision nonstop, which has made me kind
33:42of realize like, huh, like I don't really I'm not even sure.
33:45I mean, I'm on the draft. I'm on the clock.
33:48Who do I like? Because I like both of these guys.
33:52But who do I like more and what where do their careers go?
33:56Right. For redraft, it's not as a big of a decision, but it's Roma Dunze and Brian Thomas Jr.
34:02Right. Two guys who I think we have a lot of questions about for Brian Thomas Jr.
34:07I think we saw a more extended. Season of productivity and elite level from Roma Dunze.
34:12We got a smaller sample size, but his bad, you know, time in the league wasn't nearly as bad as Brian Thomas Jr.'s last year.
34:20So I think it's two guys that are very young, should and have the talent to be elite in dynasty rankings.
34:26But they have kind of fallen by the wayside, especially on their teams.
34:30It seems like most people are kind of leaning Parker Washington.
34:33Most people are leaning Luther Burden or Colston Loveland in terms of the Chicago.
34:38So I'm just really interested to have these guys on the watch list, not just on the short term, but in the long term of the whole season.
34:46And how does it play out? Like, does it work out for any either of them or do both of them kind
34:53of turn into a guy that you're like, all right, we need Rome and Brian Thomas Jr.
34:59on different teams. They need to go be alpha somewhere else.
35:02They need to go be, you know, a top wide receiver.
35:05One, they can be, but they need to just leave.
35:08They need to escape the situation because it doesn't seem like in the offenses that they are, they want to use them that way.
35:16And so those are two guys that are just I'm very interested to see because I've been in on both.
35:22And now I'm not sure which one I like more.
35:25And if either of them are really going to be able to break through their current situation and where they're valued at.
35:32But yeah, man, the funny thing here is the Jacksonville Jaguars as a whole.
35:36I said that really well. The Jacksonville Jaguars like I was German.
35:40Oh, man. The BGJ. No, they're all so cheap, right?
35:43For how much hype they've been producing. They're all like ridiculously priced like Parker Washington.
35:48Is like sneaking up into like fourth and fifth rounds of drafts now, at least in redraft.
35:53But he's the most expensive piece like Basial Tootin's going far behind him, at least in single QB leagues.
35:59Trevor Lawrence is probably like QB 10 or 11, maybe even more than that.
36:03BTJ is going in like the seventh round. Jacoby Myers might as well be the last pick on the board.
36:09Like there's not a lot of, you know, people buying in with their money on this situation as much as the hype
36:16has kind of been there for these guys. There hasn't been a lot going there.
36:21But it feels like the exact opposite for the Bears here, right?
36:25Roma Dunze is an afterthought. He's like the last piece drafted out of all these guys.
36:29Colston Loveland is the first off the board going in probably like the third or fourth round.
36:35You can get Luther Burden now in like fifth and sixth rounds a lot of times because of the injury, his groin injury.
36:42People have been scared off. The price cooled and kind of fell because of that, which feels like a steal.
36:48And then Odunze goes in, what, like the seventh, eighth rounds now of those drafts, man.
36:53Odunze is the clear click here for me over Brian Thomas Jr.
36:57If I had the choice between them. We've seen Odunze do it as soon as last year.
37:02And it was really kind of an injury that kind of stopped that momentum for him.
37:07And we've seen the Bears be good more consistently for a longer period of time than we have the Jacksonville Jaguars, right?
37:14I'm more willing to buy in on the Bears and that situation than I am the Jaguars and that situation.
37:20Especially with Odunze hasn't had a ton of negative hype here.
37:23It's really just been his foot injury at the beginning of the season.
37:27And that hasn't really come back around where people are like, oh, we discounted him.
37:32But now that's not really a concern for ours anymore.
37:35Now we're buying back into him. He's just been kind of left out on that discount.
37:40Whereas the Jacksonville Jaguars, BTJ has had kind of that negative hype.
37:44Not necessarily like he's looked bad. It's been the exact opposite.
37:47He's been looking good. All the Jaguars, they've been looking so good, guys.
37:51Every single time. It just depends on the day.
37:54But Parker Washington has just kind of stolen the spotlight.
37:57And the usage for BTJ being pretty much the outside wide receiver coming off the field in two wide receiver sets.
38:04That just kind of makes me want to be out on BTJ in a redraft where it's not like a best ball setting.
38:11I have to choose to put him in my lineup.
38:14I'd rather choose Odunze over BTJ. Yeah, 100%. I think that's kind of where I've been most of the time when I've
38:21ended up making the choice between the two is leaning Odunze.
38:24I just think like with all the talk about him being Brian Thomas Jr.
38:28being the outside and the deep threat, like you're saying, like that's going to be much harder to predict in a redraft.
38:35I do think long term, I do think I like BTJ more as an NFL player for like dynasty wise.
38:41I think I like that play if he were to be able to get traded.
38:46But I mean, if he's only a deep threat player, you know, and he can't run the routes, then maybe not.
38:52And just in general, between these two guys and these two teams, like I'm kind of like a tangent on part of my watches.
39:00It's like just what happens with these offices in general, right?
39:03We have a ton of questions about what's going to happen with the Chicago Bears.
39:08Can Caleb Williams sustain with Ben Johnson's offense? All of these pieces, who gets left out?
39:13And then with the Jaguars, as you were talking about, Tootin seems like an afterthought.
39:17He's I think like for dynasty rankings, like almost an RB3.
39:21He's like running back 24 in some rankings. He's going and redrafts way later.
39:25Like, are we going to turn around at the end of the season and be like, oh, there's the this year's Javante Williams.
39:32Or is it going to be like a crowd and Joe and Tootin and the rookie they drafted?
39:38I can't what's Jamari Taylor or something like that.
39:41No, LaQuinn Allen also, I think. Yeah. So like, is it just going to be very messy?
39:46So just in general, those those two offenses fascinate me.
39:49And I think if you're willing to have like strong convictions of whether it's on Tootin or Rome or Brian Thomas Jr.,
39:56I think, you know, you can stand to make a significant jump in value.
40:00I think the ship has sailed to be in on Loveland and Burden and Parker Washington, I guess, also somewhat.
40:06Like, it feels like you've kind of missed the boat.
40:09You should have been on them like earlier, like where a lot of people were.
40:14So, yeah, I mean, in general, those two offenses really fascinate me.
40:18And I think we're going to get a lot of interesting offseason.
40:22And even more so than this year, this offseason coming up.
40:25Yeah. There's a lot of like hype out there for a lot of guys right now.
40:30And this happens every offseason. But for this year, for whatever reason, it just feels very inflated.
40:35And like it feels like week one is going to come around.
40:39The bubble is going to get burst. And half these guys are going to come crashing to the ground, man.
40:45Like your guy that you're about to talk about?
40:48Yeah, my guy. I wouldn't call him my guy here because I haven't really been up on this guy too much.
40:54In fact, I was a full fade on him in rookie drafts.
40:58Day, just Dayjon Stribling, not Dayjon Love, although he does wear his number now.
41:02That's hilarious. Change from number 15 to number seven.
41:05Dayjon Stribling of the 49ers. It's just going to be a necessity for the 49ers.
41:10Ricky Pearsall out for the year with aggravating his PCL injury, needing to get surgery on it.
41:15Christian Kirk is starting on the IR with, I don't remember what he's going through, whatever he's got.
41:21You have Mike Evans with a new injury every week.
41:24Literally like five different injuries in training camp. It was his hamstring, his ankle, his hamstring again, his calf.
41:30It's like, come on, man. Like that substation's got to hold you.
41:33You got to get away from it, man. George Kittle is supposed to play week one.
41:38But dude, this guy had an Achilles tear 10 months ago.
41:42And he's 34 years old, 33 years old. Like it just feels like a lot to ask to put George Kittle back
41:48on the field and be the receiver that we need him to be for this team.
41:53So Dayjon Stribling has been getting a ton of hype here.
41:57And camp, who they caught a ton of flack for in the draft, drafting them at the 201 where I was proud
42:04of them for trading out of the first. It's just so that they didn't take this guy in the first.
42:10They finally did the smart thing, trade out of the first to pick this guy, which apparently everybody had on their board.
42:17And they were going to take him. Nonetheless, like he's actually a thing, right?
42:21I mean, those analysts out there who are saying you just got to trust the process and know that Shanahan is going to make this guy a guy.
42:30It's going to happen. And honestly, I probably should have bought in on that for that reason.
42:35The 49ers offense is very efficient. It doesn't matter who you are, what talent level you are.
42:40If you can fit the role that Kyle Shanahan needs you to play and you can do it the way he wants
42:47you to do it, you're going to be productive in that offense.
42:51So Dayjon Stribling does fit the role that they need.
42:54It's obviously shown in all the joint practices and all the preseason games that we've seen him in.
42:59He's looked good. He's looked like he can play the role.
43:03We also have the second easiest strength of schedule weeks one through four.
43:07We have Rams week one. Okay, not great, Bob.
43:10But then you got the Dolphins, the Cardinals, and the Broncos.
43:13There's a target void where Dayjon Stribling can really step into and garner a decent target share here.
43:18And again, he's got enough skill where he'll just be efficient with that target share.
43:23How efficient he'll be is what I really want to watch for.
43:27I want to watch where he's being used and in what situations.
43:31And is he on the field in two wide receiver sets and three wide receiver sets?
43:36How efficient is he being? I'm expecting him to be enough to where people are going to be impressed by his efficiency metrics, right?
43:43It's probably going to be like a 25% target per route run and like a 2.7 yards per route run.
43:49That's just what Shanahan offenses do. But if it's like crazy above that, then I'll buy in.
43:54But if it's just kind of like average where people are like, oh, this is the guy you got to buy in.
44:01Then he's going to be a sell high for me at that moment.
44:05If people are willing to throw a first or a first plus at a Dayjon Stribling, see ya.
44:11Give me the first plus. Let me do something else with that more liquid asset and get out of that.
44:17Because I'm not going to be fooled by the Shanahan gleam here where he's turning bronze into gold and making it look better than it actually is.
44:25We'll see how that goes, right? Maybe it's actually not even that good.
44:29Maybe Mike Evans is fully healthy. Maybe George Kittle is more of a factor than we have.
44:35Or it's just Christian McCaffrey 27 times a game, right?
44:38Like that could literally be what happens here. Yeah, I mean, I think for Mike Evans, I think he's a very smart guy.
44:45He's getting his injuries out of the way now so he can be fully healthy for camp.
44:50Pretty sure that's how it happens when you're, you know, 33 or however old he is.
44:55You know, you just get them out of the way.
44:58You're smart. You avoid training camp. And then you're fully healthy for the entire season.
45:03But yeah, man, I think the Sean Stribling, it's kind of been pretty interesting because it's been such a roller coaster ride, right?
45:10It was like, what are the 49ers doing? They're idiots.
45:13And then like we get into, you know, rookie camp, training camp.
45:17And it's like, oh, this guy's actually kind of good.
45:20Wow, look at him. He's making plays. He looks good, man.
45:23And then all of a sudden, you know, he's going in like the 10th round and redraft all of a sudden where
45:30before he might have not even been drafted. So, I mean, part of it is, I think, the fact that Mike Evans has been so injured.
45:38Like you just can't depend on he's going to be there.
45:41It could be, you know, a situation where you're starting Mike Evans and then all of a sudden, then Stribling becomes a
45:48factor and going into the, you know, the next week, he's the priority add because Mike Evans has a serious injury and
45:55Stribling balled out when Mike Evans got hurt. And, you know, he put up 20 points and he was on everybody's bench or on waivers.
46:03I could totally see that happening in terms of like watch list.
46:06I think you're completely right. I think it's if the hype gets too crazy, you need to sell because he doesn't project
46:13to be that sort of dominant player. But I'm also fine holding like that.
46:18You know, at some point, like it's OK to hold if you if he ends up just being a good player.
46:24You know, you do need good players. It's not always about just like, you know, flipping it for, you know, minimal value games.
46:31Obviously, if if there is enough there to squeeze to make it worthwhile, then, you know, go for it.
46:37But if he just turns out to be a guy and you got him either after your rookie waivers ran or like
46:44in the third, fourth round of rookie drafts, if you did him really early, I feel like that's where he was going
46:51right after the NFL draft because everybody was so down on him.
46:54And then he kind of, you know, with how bad the draft was, he kind of went into the second round.
47:01But either way, like, you know, if you turn your second round pick into a starter on your team, then, you know,
47:08in such a bad draft of everything. So I would definitely love to hold on to him in that situation, too.
47:14Yeah, that's fair. I'm sure people are making the same argument for Ayuk.
47:18It feels really similar here, right? I mean, it's just similar prospects, similar reach and just stepped into the role and made himself a name.
47:26All right, man, let's take a quick break here.
47:29And then we'll be back on the other side where you can go ahead and lead us off with your second player to watch here.
47:37Football is back, baby. And whether you've been betting for years, you're just looking to put a little action on the games.
47:43My bookie needs to be added to your list of places to go line shopping.
47:48We've been talking about the teams we like and don't like for months.
47:52Yes, we're in on this Jets offense more than almost anybody.
47:55And we're terrified of this Falcons offense. Even though you got Bijan, you got Kyle Pitts, you got Drake London.
48:02But you got two bad left-handed quarterbacks. And you certainly don't need to be tailing some fake betting expert on social media.
48:08Go to my bookie and find the plays you already know you like and take a shot.
48:14That's what's cool about my bookie. You can find the action you want and bet it wherever you are when the game kicks off.
48:21And if you're new to the club, the bet back bonus gives you protection on your first play.
48:27Sign up with promo code PLAYER to opt into the bet back bonus and take your first shot with a safety net.
48:33If your wager loses, you get it right back.
48:36No questions asked. Football is finally here. Get in now and cash in on the season with my bookie with promo code
48:43PLAYER to get that bet back bonus. Bet on anything, anytime, anywhere.
48:47You're welcome. All right. Welcome back. All right, Jose.
48:50Go ahead, man. Who you got for your second watch list guy?
48:53It's going to be Rico Dowdle, the running back from now Pittsburgh, playing out there with Jalen Warren.
48:59You know, I'm really interested to see can Rico finally kind of hang on to a role in a starting job?
49:05Can he cement his starting position there and kind of usurp, I think is the word I'm looking for.
49:11Jalen Warren, who signed the contract that wasn't very big.
49:14They do have an out after this season if they wanted to.
49:18I think they brought in Rico Dowdle because they kind of liked what they had last year with the one-two punch.
49:24Yeah, Kenneth Gainwell. Yeah, Kenneth Gainwell and Jalen Warren.
49:27Sorry. Yeah, so I'm really interested to see where he goes.
49:31He's had flashes of being a very good running back, right?
49:34We saw what happened last year when he took over and kind of, you know, I don't know.
49:40He half for like three or four games took the job and then kind of gave it back.
49:45And then it was kind of like they were playing hot potato, but he has shown flashes of being able to be a prolific runner in the league.
49:54And I think he's kind of just kind of waiting for a team to fully give him the opportunity, right?
50:00Which I think hasn't happened since like the Cowboys days, right?
50:03Like he's kind of bounced around and hasn't really ever been given the shine to be the guy.
50:09And so I don't know. I feel like he's another guy where you get to the end of the season and you're like, huh?
50:16Okay, this guy's actually pretty good. You know, he's had two back-to-back thousand-yard seasons.
50:21He just hasn't been able to get the touchdowns.
50:24So like can Pittsburgh be good enough and he gets enough touches that he gets into the double-digit touchdowns?
50:29That'd be kind of where you're at. But I mean, you know, back-to-back seasons being a running back too.
50:35And I feel like he's drafted way less, like lower than that.
50:39Like I don't think Tyler Jalen Warren is anything special to keep Rico off the field, kind of like in the same
50:46situation that it was last year with Chuba. Like Chuba was nothing spectacular.
50:50And once Rico got on the field, it just seemed like he was a better runner, better for the team.
50:56So that's something I'm keeping my eye on. I mean, it's definitely something that there won't be a giant play.
51:02But like if he, you know, the metrics start leaning Rico for the first, you know, two, three, four weeks, it might
51:09be a time where you can go by him before he fully takes over the backfield.
51:14I think right now it's that it's going to be a split.
51:18But we always know that like, you know, that's tentative at best, right?
51:22Like we don't know that's guaranteed to continue that way.
51:25So it might be a situation where like the metrics or in key situations, Rico Dado's in, especially where, you know, you need Aaron Rodgers trust.
51:33And he's the guy that's getting called either to pass block or to run the ball or to catch the little screen or whatever it is.
51:41I think those would be important things where you might be able to, you know, trade for Rico still on the cheap
51:48before he kind of becomes the starter halfway through the season.
51:51Yeah, man, we were kind of talking about beforehand how he's just extremely underappreciated, not only by fantasy managers, but by the NFL too, right?
51:59I mean, like you said, the dude had back-to-back thousand yard seasons with two different teams.
52:04And now he's on his third team in third years after putting up thousand yard seasons.
52:09Like he kind of just feels like a mercenary, right?
52:12Like he reminds me of the Jacoby Myers of running backs, right?
52:16Like just like the guy who gets it done, reliable, and is willing to go out there and do the dirty work
52:22and do it well and efficiently, right? Like 4.6 yards per carry over the last two years, seven touchdowns and five touchdowns,
52:2939 receptions in both of those seasons. Yeah, with 50 targets.
52:33So it's not like he's a slouch, can't, you know, catch the pass at all.
52:37Like to me, it just seems like what is Jalen Warren better?
52:41Is he supposed to be a better pass catcher, right?
52:44But it's not like Rico Dotto is so bad that he can't catch any passes.
52:49So it just seems like he gets into these situations where the coaches are like, yeah, Rico Dotto is good.
52:55But we also got this guy and then like Rico Dotto plays and they're like, oh yeah, we have Rico Dotto.
53:01Maybe that's the, you know, that's the guy we need to be featuring.
53:05Yeah. Leading out the season two, they play the Patriots, the Bengals, the Browns, the Colts.
53:10Bro, I don't know if the Browns are actually going to be that good this year, like defense wise.
53:16I don't know about that. I don't think so.
53:19Yeah, man. Like they're just going to be a dumpster fire all around.
53:23So like it could be good. Like how, what's that split like between Jalen Warren and Rico Dotto?
53:29I think that's going to be the thing to watch for me.
53:32And who's getting the passing game work? Because it could be either one of them.
53:37And really it's going to come down to who does Aaron Rodgers like better?
53:41Well, I mean, there's also the connection that Rico, when he had his thousand yard season in Dallas, was with Mike McCarthy.
53:48So there's that also that coaching, you know, connection there as well.
53:52Yeah, no, for sure. For sure. All right. Let's roll in to my next guy here.
53:57And it is your bull take Chase Brown. I want to see what it's going to look like for him.
54:03Will he keep his same usages as last year?
54:06They start off against the Bucks, the Texans, the Steelers, and the Jags.
54:10All of them were top half of defenses versus running backs last year.
54:14Three of them were in the top eight, being the Texans, the Steelers, and the Jags.
54:19There could be a rough start for him, which could spook some managers.
54:23And I feel like if that is the case, maybe there's a buy low situation in there because the schedule does open up for him after that.
54:31Chase Brown is good, right? But we saw this last season with him.
54:35He had a slow start last season where people were panicking and didn't really know what to do with Chase Brown, me being one of them.
54:43So I would say just watch. Watch and see how he's being used.
54:47Like how much is Samajah Piran actually getting mixed in?
54:50How much is Chase Brown on the field in these two-minute situations?
54:54What does his targets look like? Is he being efficient with all of his touches?
54:59I think those things could be there for them.
55:01I hope those things are there for them. But this is something I really want to watch.
55:07I've been hesitant to kind of place all my chips on Chase Brown this year because of these reasons.
55:13So I'm completely intrigued on how it's actually going to go for him.
55:17Because I do think it could be a slow start.
55:20But if the usage numbers are favorable for him, then I think there's going to be an opportunity to buy in low there.
55:27Not only in redraft, but also in Dynasty. I think people could just be scared of that situation in general.
55:33He's also, again, just like you were saying with Rico Dowdo, he's on a contract year.
55:38So that could actually boost his stock for him in the offseason here.
55:42He might be even a little more motivated to kind of play well there.
55:46So Chase Brown is a name that I want to keep my eye on.
55:51And I want to kind of download those stats as one of the first teams that I look at every week when I get into those PFF sheets.
55:59Yeah, I mean, first of all, how dare you just start there?
56:03But, you know, I mean, you know, sometimes it's important to go, you know, to the I don't know what what analogy I was just about to say.
56:12But straight to the source. Right. One Joe Joe Burrow here speaking about his running back.
56:17He's a complete back. He can protect. He trains as a receiver all offseason.
56:21And you wouldn't know that he was a running back when he's out there doing it.
56:26He makes people miss the first guy almost never bring him down.
56:30He's smart. He cares about it. I think there's very few backs in this league that you can say that about.
56:36And to finish off, obviously, we're going to try to get the ball in number one's hands.
56:41Speaking about Jamar Chase as many times as we can.
56:44But I think a close second is Chase Brown just because of how explosive he is and the things that he can
56:51do with the ball in his hands. That's the man that literally puts the ball in people's hands, telling you that Chase
56:58Brown is the second best receiver on the team.
57:01So, I mean, I saw that I was giddy.
57:04I wanted to post it everywhere when I saw Joe Burrow talking about it.
57:08But I definitely am with you. Like, it could have been a special run there at the end of the season where
57:15he had such a large target share volume. It could have been that, you know, they weren't playing for anything.
57:21They were eliminated by the time Joe Burrow was coming.
57:24Not eliminated when he was. Where are they eliminated?
57:27When he came back from Madrid? Not yet. So, but it was shortly after.
57:31Like, I remember it was like 1% chance by week, whatever it was.
57:35So maybe they were just out there having fun, putting new package.
57:39I don't know. But I want to say that it does continue.
57:43And I definitely think that he's going to be a guy, like I said, towards the end of the season where we're
57:49going to be looking at him, I think, finally in a different way.
57:53I think he plays very well and the Bengals secure the bag for him.
57:58And then we're kind of thinking about him in a much different light.
58:02So I agree with you. Even after a few couple good games, I think if you buy in early, you'll be setting
58:09yourself up with a running back for a couple years in Dynasty.
58:12Obviously, he's a little bit older. So it's not the five-year plan.
58:16But, you know, if you're a contender or you're – I think he's a great piece to acquire if you're not shooting
58:23for the 101 anymore, but you're looking at a productive struggle or competing in 27.
58:27Buying Chase Brown now and then holding him. Yes, he's going to pull up your point max points for.
58:33But being okay with that so that you have a cemented running back one for your competing window next year.
58:40Yeah, man. This is no shocker. The quarterback is talking him up.
58:43Okay, like there's no question about his talent. Chase Brown's good, right?
58:47I mean, that question has been put to bed now for damn near three seasons, right?
58:52Like the haters can go bury their takes because they're dead and gone, right?
58:56Like Chase Brown's good. Like he is a special talent.
58:59They need to get the ball in 30s hand as much as possible because he's a difference maker and he'll make it happen.
59:06I'm just – I want to be convinced that he's going to be on the field in those situations.
59:12That it's going to happen that way. And I really hope it does, Jose, because I did take him in the redraft league that I drafted in yesterday.
59:21I shocked everybody. We get to choose our draft positions based on our finish last year.
59:26So, you know, number 12 gets to choose their draft position.
59:29I finished seventh or eighth in that league. So, I got to pick number five.
59:34And I took the 12 spot with the sole intention that I was going to go get Chase Brown and Omarion Hampton, baby.
59:41Let's hope they both are top three running backs this year.
59:45Yeah, I mean, then that's bad news for Gibbs or Bijon because if they're both up there, one of those guys is coming down.
59:52Gibbs can be there. Bijon can – he can be number four.
59:56I had two drafts today where the draft order was decided like right before the draft started, both 101.
60:02So, I am in deep on Gibbs. He is my cornerstone in major fantasy – sorry, dynasty leagues as well.
60:08So, I am in – you know, if the podcast – Do we need to redo a ride or die?
60:14Yeah. If our podcast randomly in the middle of the season right after Gibbs gets injured goes on hiatus, that's probably why
60:21because I've probably just uninstalled sleeper and I'm not, you know, playing fantasy anymore because, yeah, that's I think three major dynasty leagues.
60:28He's the cornerstone and then now several redraft leagues thanks to acquiring the 101.
60:32But – Sounds like you're going to have a good fantasy here, baby.
60:36I sure – yeah, I mean, it's only thing that derails it is injuries, right, which you can never account for.
60:43So, there's nothing there. But, yeah, man, are you done with your Chase Brown hate?
60:47I'm done. All right, man. Well, I got a bit of – you know, I'm going to keep this one short with you.
60:54I think Kyler Murray is a guy that, you know, we could be looking at having a revitalized career.
61:00I understand there's a lot of memes about him and all the things and that he loves Call of Duty or whatever.
61:07But we've seen Kevin O'Connell, you know, revitalize quarterbacks' careers.
61:10Kyler Murray has that kind of elite rushing ability that I think some people have kind of forgotten about because he has
61:17been injured ever since the ACL tear. I think Kevin O'Connell will kind of, you know, use him to the best of his abilities.
61:24And I think Kyler, if, you know, he does actually care about football, knows this may be his last chance before now.
61:31You know, next season he's looking at backup jobs.
61:34So if he can, you know, revitalize his career here, I think he's a great quarterback to have in a room, either
61:41the second, obviously, or the third, preferably going into the season.
61:44But next season we could be talking about, hey, Kyler Murray is not a horrible second quarterback to have in Superflex.
61:51So I'm just, you know, to see is the Kyler Murray that we saw two or three years ago before the injury
61:58where he was a top-end quarterback in the NFL and for fantasy.
62:01Is that guy still there? And I think Kevin O'Connell is probably one of the – I guess it's been 2024 he was a top-ten quarterback.
62:09And then his, you know, obviously his top three was quite a long ways in the rearview mirror now.
62:15But, you know, he's 29. He's still, you know, he can find a job and get a contract like Baker Mayfield or Sam Darnold, two, three, four-year contract.
62:24He still has, I think, decent runway to be a fantasy-relevant asset.
62:28I think this is the turning point, right? And I'm really interested to see what the metrics look like.
62:33How much is he going to be rushing? What does it look like with Justin Jefferson?
62:38And, you know, kind of all of that. Yeah, I'm interested to see who his favorite target is on our team because,
62:45I mean, we all assume it's going to be Justin Jefferson, but it could very well be TJ Hawkinson or maybe Jordan Addison comes back to life, right?
62:54What does the run game look like with Kyler Murray in there?
62:58There's a 1A, 1B with Aaron Jones Sr. and Jordan Mason.
63:01And there's a lot of question marks about that offense, but there's also a lot of potential for that offense, right?
63:07And we believe in the system. Like you said, like the Kevin O'Connell system is a good one to buy into.
63:14Did you say he was a quarterback 10 in 2024?
63:17Yes, sir. That's crazy. I don't remember that at all.
63:20I remember drafting him and being really disappointed. Yeah, I think it's just because it was a lot of ups and downs.
63:27It was not consistent. Like he was not a guy.
63:30He was hurt too, right? No, he played 16 games.
63:33He only missed one. It was mostly just I think people remember the really low end games where he scored 12 points.
63:40He scored five points. He scored 11 points. He scored 10 points, but then it was followed up by 24, 36, 27.
63:47Like it was just a sprinkle of no consistency where especially in a one quarterback league, if you were trying to start
63:54Kyler Murray, it felt like, oh, shoot, he cost me the week.
63:57I'm going to move off from Kyler Murray. Oh, shoot.
64:00Now he could have won me the week. Like very frustrating.
64:04I think those are the type of narratives that people kind of like stick with them and they don't really go back
64:11and look like, hey, like, you know, what was going on?
64:14Where was the Cardinals? You know, obviously last season it was very bad, but mostly everything besides Trey McBride with the Cardinals was very bad last year.
64:22So I'm just, you know, hopeful. I think it's a complete tangent not to just dunk on nine, but I think it was crazy that he did.
64:31He was battling for the quarterback one position and ended up as the quarterback three.
64:35That is that is one way to fail downwards tremendously, horribly bad.
64:39But I just got nine on him, bro. Yeah, man.
64:42I don't I don't know. But yeah. So, yeah.
64:45I mean, I think in terms of like actionable advice there, I think he's just somebody, you know, keep an eye on.
64:52Does he start hot? What what can you do in a super flex league before?
64:56You know, the Kyler Murray stink, I think is going to follow him unless he has a really, really good year.
65:03So, you know, if you need an extra quarterback, he could be one of those cheaper guys.
65:08Maybe you have a you know, your quarterback, too, in a super flex that gets hurt early in the season.
65:14He's a guy I would go knocking on a door for if he starts out, you know, pretty consistent and off to a good start.
65:22From experience. Even if Kyler Murray starts off hot, no one no one's going to believe him.
65:27You're not going to be able to sell him if you're going to try and sell him for a first.
65:33You're not going to get it right. Like I've tried this many times with last year was Daniel Jones.
65:39The year before that was Sam Darnold. Like these guys, people don't believe in them.
65:44Right. Like, but I think they're worth that price.
65:47Like as soon as we seen see them be good, especially in a system that we believe in, I think they're worth that price.
65:54And like maybe you can, you know, whittle them down and get them below that price where it's a little more palatable for you to buy into it.
66:03But I really think that's the move to do here.
66:06Like if Kyler Murray starts off strong, his price is just not going to skyrocket.
66:11You're going to be able to get on them.
66:13Yeah. Which I think is the correct thing. Like if he's still super cheap, then why not?
66:19If you if you're maybe you went into the season with a shaky quarterback or quarterback room, then why not just hop
66:25in and get yourself a quarterback that, you know, could potentially be down the stretch a league winner or the type of
66:32quarterback that everybody's trying to stream in in redraft leagues?
66:35Yeah, for sure. All right, man. That's the last player that we have.
66:39Let's kind of go over a couple of situations on teams that we're looking at just real quick here before we hit the outro.
66:47For me, one of them was the commanders and their skill players.
66:51We have a new offensive coordinator with David Blau.
66:53How does he dial up this offense? How bad is that offensive line we've heard in camp that it's the worst offensive
67:00line that they've seen over there in the D.C.
67:03area? So will it matter even right? Like what is the run game?
67:07Is it going to hurt the run game? Is it going to hurt Jaden Daniels in the passing game?
67:13They have the Eagles, the Cowboys, the Seahawks, and the Colts to start.
67:17That's pretty brutal coming out of the gate, man.
67:20If the offense looks even half competent, even though they're not great, maybe it's worth buying into just for the situation, knowing
67:26that you're going to get a discount on these players and they're going to be good.
67:31But it's scary, man. It's scary. I think it's definitely scary.
67:35I think you're going to see a lot of Jaden Daniels running for his life and you hope that he can protect himself.
67:42I think sadly that's what he's going to be.
67:45I think for the run game, I'm just not really interested.
67:48If one of them can carve out and be the guy, whether it's Bill or whoever, I think Bill is the front
67:55runner, but I think he's also struggling with an injury.
67:58But otherwise, we see what bad offensive lines. I think the only weapon that you're kind of even interested in is Jaden Daniels.
68:05But I feel like if they pull through and look half competent, it's going to be on the back of him and
68:12then he's going to become too expensive. So it's almost like a gamble you have to make now.
68:17Or if they look horrible and you still think Jaden Daniels is him, I think his stock has been trending down.
68:24So I think it will continue if they start 0-4 and he has bad games.
68:29I think you could have some people maybe panicking in Dynasty or just looking to move on if he's on a contenders team.
68:36I think it could definitely be a move to make there if you believe that Daniels is a guy or the guy.
68:43I'm still kind of – I don't know. I don't want to fence it when I'm supposed to have strong opinions, but
68:49I think I find myself a lot in that situation with Jaden Daniels.
68:53I do believe that he has the ability to break fantasy with his rushing ability.
68:58I just don't know if they're going to surround him and do enough for him to survive to do that.
69:04When you would watch Lamar Jackson do what he did, it was not just video game ask, but he always just knew how to avoid the big hit.
69:13He knew how to not get blown up and he could also throw the ball at a prolific rate.
69:19I think we've still struggled to see that with Jaden Daniels partially because they haven't done what we're kind of talking about
69:26in Arizona where they haven't surrounded him with weapons.
69:28You got Terry McLaurin and now Devo – sorry, no, Stephon Diggs out there.
69:33It's like, is that what you need your rookie or your second – third-year quarterback doing now?
69:38That's who he's throwing to. It's just not it.
69:41The running back room is not it. So they're just expecting so much of Jaden Daniels and I don't feel like they're
69:47giving him the fair shot to make it happen.
69:50I also am trying to think, what did they do with their picks?
69:54Because I don't think their defense is supposed to be touted as a really good defense either.
70:00So I'm just trying to think, what did they spend – they have a horrible offensive line.
70:05They don't have a great offense. They don't have a great defense.
70:09Where are they burning their picks at? I'm trying to remember the draft and I just can't remember who they were drafting.
70:15But it feels like not impactful at all for Jaden Daniels' career, at least yet.
70:20I mean, the offensive skill players that come to mind are K.
70:24Tron Allen and then they also got the wide receiver from Clemson.
70:27I'm blanking on his name right now. But these are later picks.
70:31Like, where did their first one, two – No, the wide receiver was like a second, third-round pick?
70:37He was a day-two pick for sure. But, yeah, I don't know.
70:40Like, their first-round pick, I think they win defense.
70:43I'm pretty sure. With Dan Quinn, that makes sense, I guess.
70:47But, yeah. Honestly, like, what this comes down to, and we'll know really early on, is can David Blau put together an
70:53offense, even with bad offensive line and not all these talented skill players around Jaden Daniels, can he dial up an offense
71:00that can make the game easier on Jaden Daniels, where they can kind of dink and dunk their way down the field
71:07and use his legs in an efficient way where he's not getting blown up?
71:11Like, we'll know really early on. And even if they're losing games and even if they're not putting up big points, if
71:18we see that, then I think that's the signal to go buy-in on them.
71:22All right. Yeah, 100%. Let's shift to this last one here, the Broncos skill players, because this is another new play caller.
71:29I think people forget that Davis Webb is going to be calling the offensive plays here, and it's not going to be Sean Payton doing it.
71:37What will Jalen Waddle's role be? How will the backfield shake out?
71:41Like, we all think it's going to be J.K.
71:44Dobbins being the one, but how much is he going to be the one?
71:48Is this going to be more of a timeshare than we think it will be, right?
71:53They also have a really tough schedule coming out the first six weeks.
71:57It's Chiefs, Jags, Rams, 49ers, Chargers, Seahawks. I could definitely see the Broncos stumbling out of the gate here and people kind
72:04of panicking and wanting to get out of it, especially if Davis Webb isn't that great of a play caller.
72:10Like, it's going to be interesting here, and I don't really know what the signal will be with these guys, but I'm curious.
72:17I want to see what's going to happen. This is definitely one I'm going to watch.
72:22I think we see it, you know, reflected in the ADP of these players being drafted.
72:27None of them are being drafted highly. Absolutely none of them.
72:31There's a lot of hype for Jalen Waddle, but I honestly think he could be one of those guys that just kind
72:37of falls and doesn't live up to the hype that he has.
72:41Yeah, I mean, I think it's pretty interesting. I mean, I think Webb was an internal hire, right, or promotion, whatever you want to call it, right?
72:49So he's been with the team. He knows how Sean Payton likes to run the offense.
72:54I still think that Sean Payton, from everything we understand about him as a head coach, is still going to have his
73:01hands all over this offense and be in his ear.
73:04And, you know, I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up like a Lions situation where he just takes the play calling.
73:11Yeah, it takes the play calling back. But, you know, I mean, they promoted him and Sean Payton gave the reins up for a reason.
73:19So maybe he really trusts him. You know, when you're reading off that starting schedule, it definitely makes me be like, oh,
73:26yeah, wasn't I really in on Bo Nix? But I guess we're going to find out, right, like if Bo Nix and
73:32this team is legit, they should come out of that with a winning record and, you know, be battling the Chiefs and the Chargers for the division, right?
73:41Like they play both of those guys within that.
73:44And so we'll really know what they're about. I think that's sometimes a positive, right?
73:48If you want to get, you know, if you want to find out what Jalen Waddle and the offense is about, this
73:55is a great test to really see what is going to come down.
73:59You play the Rams as well, one of the best, you know, defenses in the league.
74:04So I'm in on Waddle. I've always thought he's been talented.
74:08You know, hopefully Webb can use in the right way and he can stay healthy.
74:12But it's definitely interesting. I've also been maybe just reading the wrong beat writers or something or just hyping myself up because
74:19I wasn't on Jonah Coleman before the draft. I don't know.
74:23I could see at the end of the season where Jonah Coleman was the best running back for this group.
74:29I don't know if that's like super hot takey, but, you know, I don't think they loved what they got out of RJ Harvey.
74:36And J.K. Dobbins is, you know, pinky promising he's going to be healthy, but we know how that kind of goes.
74:43So I definitely agree. I think these two teams you called out are very interesting to see how they how it plays out in the early weeks.
74:51Yeah. One last note on Jonah Coleman. This was my take when he got drafted was it's bad for RJ Harvey and for Jonah Coleman.
74:59Right. Because if J.K. Dobbins goes down, it's just going to be a complete timeshare.
75:03Like I we've seen Sean Payton not trust the rookies fully going into it.
75:08Like even with RJ Harvey last year, they were still giving Tyler Bidet touches.
75:12And the other running back, I can never remember.
75:15McLaughlin. Yeah. McLaughlin. Yeah. Like they were all involved.
75:18And so like Jonah Coleman is just not going to step into this J.K.
75:22Dobbins role and get 15 touches a game. It's going to be a little bit of RJ Harvey, a little bit of Jonah Coleman.
75:29And honestly, probably a little bit of Jaleel McLaughlin or whoever that guy is on there.
75:34Like, I don't know. Maybe Jonah Coleman is that guy.
75:37I really like the talent. I just I hate this offense.
75:41And I know what it's going to do to these fantasy assets that we love.
75:45Yeah. It's it's it's rough. Sean Payton does not care about fantasy football one bit.
75:50No, not one bit. And yeah, I don't care about him for that reason.
75:54All right, man, let's hit the outro here. That was a little bit of a longer one, but it was fun.
76:01We had fun with this one. So get your binoculars out as week one rolls in here, guys.

76:57We've been talking about the teams we like and don't like for months.
77:01We're in on this Jets offense more than almost anybody.
77:04And we're terrified of this Falcons offense. Even though you got Bijan, you got Kyle Pitts, you got Drake London, but you got two bad left-handed quarterbacks.
77:12And you certainly don't need to be telling some fake betting expert on social media.
77:17Go to my bookie and find the plays you already know you like and take a shot.
