Brock Purdy

PositiveValue8:09

Purdy had his worst game of the season in Week 7 (288 yards, 1 TD, 2 INTs), but he's been unbelievable otherwise with 14 touchdowns and just 2 interceptions. He's on a bye in Week 8, creating a two-fold buy window: managers with losing records (2-5, 3-4) may panic and trade him cheap, and he'll have time to get healthy. His receiving core is decimated (Evans, Stribbley, Debo all out), which explains the poor performance. The schedule gets juicy with Raiders (Week 9), Cowboys (Week 10), and Giants (Week 13). He's still QB2 on the year and anyone under Josh Allen is fair game for a trade.

Insight page

Dallas Goedert

PositiveMatchup17:31

Goedert is a play over 48.5 receiving yards against Dallas. He hit this line last week with Tanner McKee at quarterback, and this week McKee is back with no Devonta Smith and no Dontavian Wicks available. Dallas has the single worst pass coverage grade per Pro Football Focus, making them vulnerable to tight end production.

Insight page

Derrick Henry

PositiveValue0:51

Historically averages 5.5 yards per carry with Lamar Jackson versus 4.4 without; in first four weeks with Jackson he had 7 touchdowns and 93.5 yards per game, but without him has 0 touchdowns and 68.3 yards per game. This is a situation-based dip, not a talent decline. Last year he went four straight games outside the top 24 before finishing as RB3 overall in weeks 8-17, showing his late-season dominance pattern. With Lamar returning next week and a schedule featuring Buffalo (horrendous run defense), Jacksonville, Los Angeles, Carolina, and Bengals in playoffs, Henry is the biggest buy-low target right now. He wears down defenses and is a league winner in November-December.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

PositiveValue13:30

Wilson has just 13 PPR points over his last two games due to Omar Cooper Jr.'s breakout, but this is a one-week buy-low window. Cooper's 9 targets over two games is unlikely to repeat all season. Wilson was caught letting Geno Smith have it on the bench, and reports indicate constant postgame communication. Aaron Glenn said Wilson is a player of his magnitude and they have to do everything to get him the ball, making it a point of emphasis next week. Wilson remains the ultimate alpha of the offense and a top-15 wide receiver rest of season. The offense opening up from Cooper's emergence may actually benefit Wilson further.

Insight page

Isaiah Likely

PositiveValue3:30

Despite a poor Week 7 performance against the Texans (who have been solid against tight ends all year), Likely remains an elite tight end with a ceiling comparable to Brock Bowers and Trey McBride. J.J. McCarthy threw him a touchdown last week against the Saints in the fourth quarter, showing he is targeting him. McCarthy has looked surprisingly competent through a game and a quarter, and unlike most tight ends, Likely still has an elite week-to-week ceiling—he was TE1 overall entering Week 7. The Giants head into their bye, creating a buy window for managers who don't view him in the top four at the position.

Insight page

Jalen Coker

NegativeValue5:06

Week 7 was a complete dumpster fire for the entire Carolina offense, not just Coker (1 catch, 9 yards on 4 targets, 1.9 PPR points). Before that, he had a career-high 13 targets in Week 6 and was averaging 10 targets per game in the three games prior. The panic from his recent poor performance creates a buy-low opportunity; he is easily a top-20 receiver rest of season. The offense as a whole will bounce back, and Coker will be a huge beneficiary. Losing Taylor Moton on the offensive line is a concern, but Bryce Young should stabilize.

Insight page

Javonte Williams

PositiveMatchup16:30

Williams is a Monday Night Football play with over 13.5 receiving yards. He's hit this line in 3 of the last 4 games and is expected to have a major bounce-back week with heavy utilization. The game is expected to be closer than people think, which should lead to more passing opportunities.

Insight page

Omar Cooper Jr.

NegativeUsage14:30

Cooper has had back-to-back strong games as a breakout receiver for the Jets, but this production is likely unsustainable. The expectation is that his target share will regress and Garrett Wilson will reassert himself as the primary option. Cooper's emergence may actually open up the offense for Wilson rather than permanently displace him.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

PositiveValue10:16

Etienne was on the do-not-draft list in August due to concerns about Kyandre Miller and Alvin Kamara eating into his workload, and he landed on IR with a hamstring injury. However, he's now at an all-time low and worth buying at a discount. In Week 7, Alvin Kamara averaged 0.83 yards per carry and Kyandre Miller 0.75 yards per carry, showing the Saints' run game is broken. The Saints need to get the run game going and may give Etienne the keys when he returns. New Orleans is heading into their bye, so he'll likely need a few weeks to return from IR, but if you're 5-2 or 6-1, you can get him for dirt cheap. The schedule is juicy: Week 14 Carolina, Week 15 Bucs, Week 16 Cardinals, Week 17 Falcons.

0:00Good morning and welcome into the Lineup Fantasy Football Show.
0:03I'm Mitch Anderson. I'm Justin Melo. And we are joined yet again by our guy Dynasty Dad from Smash Accept.
0:08It's been a few weeks, but it is great to have you back.
0:11How's it going, man? We only missed one week, but I mean, it feels like a long time.

0:42But let's get into our six buys heading into Week 8.
0:45Mike, we're going to let you start first with your first guy.
0:48Yo, I got purple in the background for a reason, you know?
0:51And don't judge before we do that. It's got to be Derrick Henry.
0:54I mean, this is a no-brainer, right? Like, historically, you look at what Derrick Henry has done with and without Lamar Jackson.
1:005.5 yards per carry with, 4.4 without, writings on the wall.
1:03Then you see what the first four weeks of the season versus the last three weeks.
1:07I mean, the first four weeks of the season with Lamar Jackson, seven touchdowns, 93.5 yards per game without, zero touchdowns, and
1:13then dips all the way down to 68.3. Is it a talent thing?
1:17Absolutely not. It's just a situation. Lamar was close to coming back this past week.
1:21Lamar will be back next week. The writing's on the wall.
1:24And what happens every single year is Derrick Henry wears down defenses.
1:27Derrick Henry's really good in September. He's really good in October.
1:30He is a league winner in November and December because he just wears down defenses.
1:34They continue to use him with his play style.
1:36And there's no bigger buy in fantasy than Derrick Henry right now.
1:39So, I, not to spoil it, but I'll be on the Smash Accept show later talking about some of my favorite dynasty buys.
1:45And I have Derrick Henry. Just to list off a few stats, obviously the last two games, 10.9 PPR points over them combined.
1:51Not great. Before that, finish as a top six running back in four of the first five weeks.
1:56If you feel like, oh, but is it now?
1:59Is he finally falling off the cliff? Look at last year when he went four straight games outside of the top 24
2:04before finishing as the RB3 overall in weeks eight through 17.
2:07We're going through the normal Derrick Henry progressions. Don't panic.
2:10Go out and buy him. Yeah, I completely agree with the fact that I think he is the biggest buy low right now.
2:16And I talked about him last week on our league winner episode.
2:19And you're right. Like, he wears down defenses. He's so good in, once you get into late November, December, it's honestly a
2:25little bit of a blessing that Lamar didn't play this week.
2:28And it was another bad showing from Derrick Henry because now you can buy him probably even cheaper.
2:33Like, one bad game, people might still be a little reluctant to move him.
2:36Two bad games, if you get the right manager who's panicking all of a sudden, you can get a really great player at a discount.
2:43Melo, it's like when we used to have Black Friday and then they just added on Cyber Monday.
2:48And you're like, wow, I get a whole other day of deals now.
2:51Wow. How generous of corporate America. Yeah, not to mention, I mean, he gets Buffalo coming back in week eight, which their run defense is horrendous.
2:58Jacksonville, Los Angeles, Carolina, and then in the playoffs, gets the Bengals.
3:01You know, there's a lot to love about Derrick Henry.
3:04And, you know, for you ageists out there, he just doesn't, he's not going away.
3:08You know, like Derrick Henry, I've doubted him for three years now where you're like, hey, it's going to start to dip, right?
3:14It's just not. You know, in these three games, if somebody gives you a window to buy, go do it.
3:19I know you were looking right at Melo when you said you ageists.
3:23As the resident ageist here, I very much love Derrick Henry and never doubt his talent.
3:27Let's move on, though, from one Raven to a former Raven.
3:30And that's Isaiah Likely. I think after yesterday, some people could shape the narrative to be, oh, my God, Isaiah Likely had
3:36his worst game of the season with JJ McCarthy at quarterback.
3:38He's no longer going to be an elite tight end rest of season.
3:42Those people are wrong, though. Those people are just 100% wrong.
3:45Now, first of all, McCarthy threw a touchdown to Likely literally last week when he came in against the Saints in the fourth quarter.
3:51So it's not like he's not targeting the guy.
3:54And back to week seven, yes, it was a bad game.
3:56But the Texans defense, as disappointing as they have been this year, has been pretty solid against tight ends all year.
4:02The Giants were able to do a lot of their damage on the ground yesterday, which obviously played a role in that.
4:08And J.G. McCarthy actually has looked good. And I can't believe these words are leaving my mouth right now.
4:13Like, I don't even believe myself when I say it.
4:16But I trust that he can keep this offense competitive we've seen through a game and a quarter.
4:20He's looked the part shockingly. And when it comes to tight ends in general, let's be honest, unless you're Brock Bowers, Trey
4:26McBride, maybe George Kittle still, you're going to have dud games at tight end.
4:30It's just a reality of the position. It's inevitable.
4:32But unlike all the other tight ends besides those guys, likely still has an elite ceiling week to week.
4:37I mean, he was the tight end one overall entering week seven.
4:40That's the type of ceiling we're talking about. As the Giants head into their bye week, I would capitalize and go get him while you still can.
4:48Yeah, I think what you're looking for is a manager who doesn't view him in that top four with Kittle, Bowers, McBride.
4:53And I think we're at the spot that he is in that range.
4:57And you bring up a great point because I had the thought sneak into my head as a guy who has Isaiah Likely in a lot of leagues.
5:04Like, is he just not working with J.J. McCarthy?
5:07I'm throwing that out of my brain. I think obviously maybe Jameis would have been better because he is the purest gunslinger we've got in the NFL.
5:14But I still think Isaiah Likely is a top four guy.
5:17And I think you're going to scare off a lot of people, specifically Mello on National Tight Ends Day, where I know
5:22everyone was having huge expectations for him. I'm not even saying that fully sarcastically.
5:26I think that actually disappointed a ton of people.
5:29Oh, 100% agreed. And I was looking at that ahead of time and talking to Snoog.
5:33I was like, yo, this J.J. McCarthy thing is going to create some narratives.
5:36Like, whoever has a bad game, whether it's Neighbors, whether it's Likely, you know, you're going to be able to buy low
5:42because everybody has such a bad taste in their mouth of how horrible he was last year and what he did to Justin Jefferson.
5:49And we were like, is he going to do that to Malik Neighbors?
5:52Is he going to do that to Isaiah Likely?
5:54He actually looks like he's matured a little bit.
5:57He's got better poise in the pocket. I'm not saying I'm buying J.J.
6:00McCarthy in redraft, but I think he's going to be fine for both these guys.
6:04100%. Let's jump to our third guy here. Let's talk Jalen Coker.
6:07The Cokeheads did not love what they saw in Week 7, but I don't think there's ever been a clear burn-the-tape game.
6:13It was an absolute dumpster fire from start to finish.
6:16Weird divisional matchup. Coker finishes with one catch for nine yards on four targets.
6:20And Mike, I talked about this on Smash Accept last week, but we saw a career-high 13 targets in Week 6.
6:25In the full three games he played before that, he was averaging 10 targets a game.
6:29And so you might be looking at a team with a manager who has Jalen Coker, and there's a very possible situation that he's become extremely frustrated.
6:373.8 PPR points, of course, in the game that he got injured.
6:40Then he misses Week 4. You have a buy in Week 5.
6:43He has a decent showing in Week 6, but nothing insane.
6:46And now a complete dud of 1.9 PPR points in Week 7.
6:49I easily value this guy a top 20 receiver rest of season.
6:52I think the panic is there, and it's going to allow you to get him at a much cheaper cost.
6:57So I'm believing in Carolina's offense picking it back up.
7:00They're going to be just fine. Not even close to hitting the panic button on them.
7:04I'm slamming the discount button right now on Jalen Coker.
7:07Yeah, I think yesterday was really a reflection of a bad game by the whole offense versus a bad game by Coker.
7:13It really came down to Bryson kind of turned back into a pumpkin a little bit.
7:17But luckily I've seen enough this year to feel like that was the outlier, not what we saw before it.
7:22So I think this offense as a whole is going to bounce back.
7:26And of course Jalen Coker will be a huge beneficiary of that.
7:29Yeah, you've got to really look at, I mean, to me, and I'm with you.
7:33I mean, shout out to you. You mentioned him on my show, and then Dave Kluge came on right after from Football Guys and said the same thing.
7:40And he loved your, you know, T. Higgins versus Jamar Chase kind of thing.
7:44But the biggest thing from that Carolina offense is losing Taylor Moten.
7:47Like, the sacks just poured on after that. And that's what I worry about with Bryce Young.
7:52But I think he's going to be able to get it out there and support these guys.
7:56But there is a little bit of worry about that offensive line now and how they're going to handle that and how things are going to move forward.
8:04Yeah, I'm with you. Let's move on to our next guy, though, Mike.
8:07Let's talk about this quarterback that I love and I agree with you 100%.
8:11I think you're going to be able to get a good discount right now.
8:14Yeah, and I look at this in a two-fold buy window, right?
8:18Brock Purdy's been unbelievable up until this week. 14 touchdowns, just two interceptions.
8:21And then this week goes out there. And, I mean, you know, if you're just box score watching, it's pretty rough.
8:27288, one touchdown, two interceptions. Both the interceptions, pretty bad.
8:29But then you look at this and you're like, okay, this was his worst game.
8:33And now he has a buy in week eight.
8:36And I think a lot of times, this time of year, we've got to really look at, you know, and I think
8:41that's one thing our website helps do. And I think that's something that I've done always is he's on buy next week, right?
8:47So if a team has him, they're going to have him for two weeks where they're like, oh, man, he let me
8:53down last week and now he's on buy this week.
8:56And you've got to look at, you know, are they four and three?
8:59Are they three and four? You know, do they have a losing record right now?
9:03And you have an opportunity to buy Brock Purdy for a guy that's slightly underneath.
9:07You know, you take a look at some of the quarterbacks that are just underneath and you make an offer and you
9:13try to go there because the schedule gets pretty juicy.
9:16I mean, he's got Raiders in week nine, Cowboys in week 10, you know, got matchups with all.
9:21He's got the Giants in week 13. There's a lot to like about Brock Purdy.
9:24He's going to be absolutely fine. And oh, by the way, he didn't have any of his wide receivers this week.
9:30You know, like that's got a factor in there too.
9:33Evans is going to be back. Stribbley's going to be back.
9:36Debo's going to be back. I think Brock Purdy's going to be fine.
9:39Yeah, he was throwing a mellow and I out there in week seven.
9:42Like I did him no favors. No one's going to play well.
9:46None. No, it's actually crazy how many receivers he's missing though.
9:49Like you just listed some of them out. It's insane how decimated this receiving core is.
9:53And it has been for a lot of this year.
9:55And Brock Purdy's still been good, which is such a testament to him.
9:59As you get these guys back, the sky's the limit rest of season.
10:02Yeah. And I love what you said about the buy.
10:05Not only is that an opportunity to get all these guys healthy, but you look at a team if they're three and
10:11four, if they're two and five, they cannot afford to take another loss.
10:14And they might just have to give up Brock Purdy for cheaper than they want to because of the situation with their team.
10:20This is one of those guys that I know he's still QB two on the year and you can't get crazy with buy too low.
10:27But anyone under Josh Allen is kind of fair game right now.
10:30And if there is an opportunity to get Brock Purdy, it's right now or it's never happening again.
10:35Well, I got another team coming up on their buy.
10:37It's the New Orleans Saints and it's Travis Achan, ETN.
10:40I don't know what to say anymore. Junior. Junior.
10:43During the draft season in August, I think I was lower on Travis Achan than just about anyone in the entire fantasy community.
10:49He was on my do not draft list. I became even more wary and concerned with his fantasy outlook when he only
10:54had 17 carries across his first two games and Kyandre Miller and Alvin Kamara were eating into his workload.
10:59And then things obviously got even worse when he landed himself on IR with a hamstring injury a few weeks ago.
11:05Seemed like it's just going to be a disaster season for him.
11:08And he's at an all time low right now.
11:11But all of a sudden, I'm willing to buy at his discount in the hopes that he is the guy for the Saints down the stretch.
11:17In Paris yesterday, Alvin Kamara averaged just 0.83 yards per carry.
11:20Kyandre Miller averaged just 0.75 yards per carry. It's kind of insulting that the Saints of all teams had that bad of
11:26a showing in France of all places. But I digress.
11:29The Saints need to get this run game going.
11:31They cannot run the ball. And they might just have to give A-Chan the keys to this backfield when he returns because they need something to change.
11:38And like I said, New Orleans is heading into their bye.
11:41You'll still likely have to wait a few weeks for him to return from IR after that.
11:46But if you're 5-2 or 6-1 and you're willing to wait on him, you can probably get him for dirt cheap right now from a team that's struggling.
11:53Like significantly cheaper than you ever could have gotten him going into week one or week two.
11:58So that's somebody I'm looking to buy at a discount.
12:00Yeah, this is a guy that likely is on a team that's 2-5, 3-4 because you had him starting the first few weeks.
12:06He wasn't very productive. You haven't had him at all the last few weeks.
12:10But the other thing I really like about him, we've just seen the Saints struggling so much that even if they're in
12:16negative game scripts, we saw in week one, he got plenty involved in the passing game.
12:20I think he actually is one of those pennies on the dollar guy that you can get, even though I agree.
12:26I didn't love him going into the season. I think it's similar to what I was talking about with the buys.
12:31I'm always looking at IR spots. So I'm like, okay, this guy's 2-2.
12:35He's not worried about it. You know, I can't say H-A.
12:38It's ETN. Fair enough. Fair enough. I'm not going to.
12:40You know, we're going to pronounce it. That's old school.
12:43But like, then you go to week. You know, you start to get further and further into the season.
12:48Now he's 2-3. He's 2-4. He's, okay, now he's 2-5.
12:51And now he's like, I need some kind of production.
12:53You know, give me a player. Get him on this team.
12:56And I think the more you can operate and take advantage of those situations, the better you're going to be.
13:01And the schedule's juicy. I mean, week 14, Carolina.
13:0415, the Bucs. 16, Cardinals. And Falcons in 17.
13:06Like, that's one of the easiest schedules down the stretch.
13:09And I'm excited to see what he does when he gets back on the field.
13:13All right, let's move on to our sixth guy.
13:15Let's talk about Garrett Wilson. I think this is the perfect squeaky wheel getting the grease incoming game right now against the Raiders.
13:21Garrett Wilson's got 13 PPR points over his last two games.
13:24As someone who was super high on Omar Cooper Jr.
13:27as the top waiver pickup, he was incredible. I think he's going to continue to produce at a high level.
13:32But things are going to regress back to the mean here.
13:35And Garrett Wilson's going to get his. I was just answering a question last night when someone was talking about, well, my
13:41league mate's not even interested in Garrett Wilson because of the Omar Cooper Jr.
13:45New York breakout. That should be the Steve Carell.
13:47There's a bubble. We need to go out and buy Garrett Wilson everywhere.
13:50I don't know what we're talking about. Something I'll admit, Melo, is that we did have our concerns this offseason around Garrett
13:56Wilson potentially losing out on some of the elite target share with Cooper joining the offense.
14:00I just don't think you're going to see another span of nine targets over two games all season.
14:05I mentioned the squeaky wheel narrative. We caught Garrett Wilson letting Geno Smith have it on the bench.
14:10More reports come out after the game that they were in constant communication.
14:13Rich Cimini even said that he caught them leaving the showers together, which won the award for weirdest report of the year.
14:19So thank you for your service, Rich. But even postgame, Aaron Glenn said a player of his magnitude.
14:24We have to do everything we can to get him the ball.
14:27Again, I'm going to put that on myself. It is going to be a point of emphasis next week to get Garrett Wilson the ball.
14:34This is a true one week by low window.
14:36Top 15 wide receiver rest of season. Pick up the phone and find a manager who doesn't view him as that.
14:42I completely agree. There's absolutely a bubble if people are that worried about Omar Cooper.
14:46And I get like, yes, is he going to eat into some of that target share rest of season?
14:51Absolutely. Are we going to see an astronomical 40% target share for Garrett Wilson?
14:54Probably not. But he's still the ultimate alpha of this offense.
14:57And who knows? Maybe because of this breakout from Omar Cooper Jr., he gets a little bit more serious attention.
15:03It opens this offense up as a whole, opens Garrett Wilson up even more.
15:06So I'm not worried about Garrett Wilson at all rest of season.
15:09And pay attention a little bit closer to his week six, Christian Gonzalez.
15:13Christian Gonzalez has that opportunity to do that quite a bit.
15:16Week seven, Juju Brintz, who's given up 0.17 points per target.
15:19I mean, he's been very, very good over the last couple of weeks.
15:22So yeah, I'm using that 100% to just say there's been no number two there forever.
15:26And then all of a sudden, Omar Cooper has back-to-back games.
15:29And I, for one, really was, I loved Omar Cooper coming out.
15:32And I was thinking, all right, that first week, maybe that was an anomaly.
15:36You know what I mean? And I think this is going to be a Garrett Wilson game.
15:41Now it's back-to-back. It almost feels inevitable that that third game is going to be something big for Garrett Wilson.
15:46And Omar Cooper comes back down to earth a little bit.
15:49I'll be worried the minute Omar Cooper Jr. emerges from the showers with Geno Smith.
15:53That's when I'm hitting the alarm bells. Something to pay attention to in New York.
15:57Something to watch. Yeah, I'm all about camaraderie. That's not exactly the best time to collaborate.
16:01I want to know why the reporter knew. I think that's where my brain goes.
16:05Where is the reporter relative to the showers in all of this?
16:08Ever heard of boots on the ground, Melo? I guess, yeah.
16:11Boots on the shower tile. Before we get out of here, though, let's get our Monday Night Football picks presented by Dabble.
16:17Again, if you want to sign up for Dabble and tail these picks with one click, you can use the promo code

16:26Mike, what's your number one pick tonight heading into Monday Night Football?
16:30Yeah, I'm going to take the over on 13.5 receiving yards for Javante Williams.
16:33I think this game is going to be a lot closer than people think.
16:37He's done it in three out of the last four.
16:40I think Javante Williams is going to have a major bounce back week and be very, very heavily utilized.
16:45As an Eagles fan, it stinks to hear it, but as I think the Dallas Cowboys take it to the Eagles.
16:50I love that. I'm going to go to the opposite side of the ball, though, and I'm going to go Dallas Goddard over 48.5 yards.
16:57I know it's Tanner McKee at quarterback, but Dallas Goddard hit on this line last week with McKee at quarterback.
17:02And this week we have no Devonta Smith, no Dontavian Wicks.
17:05We do, however, have a Cowboys defense in this game that has pro football focuses single worst pass coverage grade.
17:10I don't need to tell you how bad they've been.
17:13You've seen it with your own eyes. So I like Dallas Goddard in this spot.
17:17Yeah, and I'm just going to hit the exact same thing here, but we're going with Garrett Wilson over 36.5 receiving yards.
17:23Like you said, no Devonta Smith, no Dontavian Wicks.
17:25We always make the joke. Dallas is on a mission to maximize yards and fantasy points for opposing players.
17:30And so you look at this team that's given up the most receiving yards for wide receivers on the season.
17:35Outside of Makai Lemon, it really should be Darius Cooper operating as McKee's number one target for wide receivers.
17:40So they're going to have to keep slinging it to keep up in this game.
17:44Mike, I'm with you. I think it's going to be a lot closer than people think.
17:49So we've got Javante Williams over 13.5. We've got Dallas Goddard over 48.5.
17:52And we've got Darius Cooper over 36.5. If you want to copy that, click that in app at lineupmitch.
