0:00Time to bring in the big guns. My guy, Buck Sexton, has had an above average advance rate every single year in Best
0:05Ball Mania. Now, basically all of his opinions I think are bad. But I brought my guy in. We are going to we are going
0:12to follow what Buck wants to do in this underdog Best Ball draft. I'm going to have to nice little Flock Fantasy tool
0:18pulled up to help us with roster construction stuff, but we are going to follow Buck's rules. We are going to draft this pit ball draft and we're
0:24going to see can we learn anything from a recently eliminated So You Think You Can Talent contestant. Let's let's find out.
0:32>> Who's to say?
0:33>> say? Yes, unjustly some people might say eliminated from the contest. Maybe not.
0:39I mean, who cares? You you guys can you guys can draw that verdict yourself.
0:43>> It is what it is.
0:44>> Yeah, it is what it is. This contest one of my favorite on Underdog. Love the advance rate structure in the semi-final
0:50and the final 10 entry max $100,000 to first. Drafted a couple of these on stream the other day. Buck, we are
0:56picking at fourth in this draft and we got a gift with Jamar Chase.
1:01>> We're taking Chase.
1:02>> That is that is a that is a no-thinker there.
1:05I'm I'm doing that every single time.
1:08Really really without thinking or feeling.
1:11>> due, man. Chase Chase is due for the those 50-point weeks to come back. You know what I mean? Like um with or
1:17without Burrow, I just feel like Chase is going to Chase is going to pop off this year.
1:21Burrow gets hurt, he's still he's still great, you know.
1:24>> Well, I mean, frankly one of these years we will probably see Joe Burrow not get injured. Uh it's been a long time since
1:32we've seen that.
1:32>> Yeah, I hope so.
1:34>> frankly it's been a long time since we have seen a a whole season from the Cincinnati Bengals, which is uh you
1:40know, I mean, it's a it's a little bit of a it's a little bit of a bummer. It's been a huge bummer for fantasy
1:45>> He's a fancy boy, man. He tries to do too much sometimes, man. He's a fancy boy.
1:50>> Yeah, I mean, Joe Burrow has finished in terms of quarterback points per game.
1:55Uh, mean, it was he left a game early last year, but quarterback three, quarterback four, quarterback nine, and quarterback 12. Obviously, he's always
2:03been very good for fantasy. He adds a smidgen of rushing. Obviously, I would expect every year older he gets for that
2:10rushing to be decreased a little bit.
2:12But, the great thing about the Bengals is that their head coach is a dork who never learns anything. And, so they
2:18play, you know, basically this like pretty uh pass-heavy style of football.
2:23They've been one of the pass-heaviest teams in the NFL. Yeah. People are saying their defense is going to be better this year. I I I don't know. I
2:29don't know about that.
2:30>> the o-line, though? What about the line?
2:31Where are they at?
2:32>> Dude, you were asking You were asking the wrong guy.
2:35>> I don't know where they're at with the line, and that's what matters. That's what really what I mean, you know, if
2:39Burrow's not running for his life, like they're going to be all right.
2:42>> You know, honestly, I I feel like sack rate is so owned by the quarterback.
2:46Burrow has always been one of those guys who has a below-average sack rate compared to his overall skill level.
2:52>> boy. Like I said, he holds on to it. He I mean, he's always been >> He's just waiting for Ja'Mar to to
2:58for him to be able to see Ja'Mar.
3:00>> Yes. A lot of a lot of a lot of ball paths, a lot of keeping plays open. I mean, that's why It's one of the things
3:05like that Caleb part of the reason why I'm so bought into Caleb Williams is that he got so much better in sack rate
3:10year one to year two. Like, uh historical upgrade in sack rate year over year. Um, which which generally doesn't happen. Generally,
3:19uh that's kind of like yards per carry.
3:21Like, it it or it you know, it's just kind of one of those things that sticks with you.
3:25>> Mhm.
3:25>> All right. We're up in two picks. We are going to probably have to ask ourselves the question of do we want to draft
3:30Rashee Rice at at 21? Do we want to do Bowers? Do we want to do Love? Uh you know, you're you're driving the
3:36ship, Buck.
3:37>> I mean, I'm I I I know I've mentioned this before. I am Bowers here. I will start Chase Bowers like every time I can
3:44get it, pretty much.
3:45>> I agree. I am all in on Ja'Mar Chase and Brock Bowers. Um, just like thinking about the guy that Bowers is. I I think
3:53that there is a huge discount on Bowers.
3:56>> There is.
3:57>> Really just because he came back too early from this knee injury. So, he injured his knee in this game.
4:04>> It's kind of his fault. Apparently, it came out later that he like did not want to rest. He pushed >> It's just insane though. He misses He
4:12plays these games with a bum knee. He comes back. 43 points, 3 points, but then 14, 11, 22, 14, 8, and 14.
4:20>> Dude, that 43-point game was insane.
4:23That game was insane.
4:26>> I just I I mean, I think there's a chance that Brock Bowers leads the NFL in receptions this year. I think there's
4:31a chance he leads the NFL in targets this year.
4:33>> do they have? Like who is their number one wide receiver right now? Is it um it's Trey Tucker?
4:37>> It's Trey Tucker, Jaylen Nailer, Jack Besh, uh >> Right. Dante from from the dead.
4:43>> Yeah, yeah. They're they'll they'll play a lot of 12 >> Lockett's going to Tyler Lockett's going to sell a house and then come to a game.
4:49Like >> All right. Rashee Rashee is still available here. We're about to pick at We're about to pick at pick 28. I I have
4:58him >> if it's a gun to my head right now, I don't think we can take another wide receiver even with Rashee right here. I
5:03think we should take Jacobs or Hall.
5:05>> That's hey, fine fine by me. I think positionally you're right. Having your first running back be Trevion Henderson, Cam Skattebo, Clinton Judkins is
5:14I I think it makes sense. Uh you would probably disagree with this, but like if you're a portfolio drafter, if you're
5:19drafting >> I mean, I'm >> going to have a thousand teams on Underdog, probably three like I'm going to have an insane amount of teams. I
5:25want to have some zero running back. I want to have some crazy five running back starts. Like I want to have all
5:30kinds of different permutations. But if you're just drafting one bog standard team where you're trying to draft your absolute best, it's really, really hard to make an
5:40argument that you should not have a running back by your fourth round pick.
5:44>> Yeah, that's that's really what it is.
5:45And there's enough value in the fourth that if things break right this season for you, that can be totally fine. Um I
5:51I think that like zero wide zero running back rather like we should change the scale a little bit and like say that it
5:57starts in round five. Like you can take a running back in round five and that's zero RB. Just because like relative to
6:01what everybody else is doing, you're still it's still such a low percentage of the drafts are going to wait that long in this environment to take a
6:08running back. I mean, just look at this green board, you know?
6:12>> Yeah. No, I I completely I completely agree with you. Um I mean, it part of the reason why I actually think
6:18it's okay to let Rachaad White fall at this point is just because if you don't have a running back then it's so like weird in a weird way it's
6:27almost easier to click him in the second round where you know the running like you're like, "Ah, I'm fine with Jacobs.
6:32I'm fine with Breece." I did just notice Javonte went at 27 in this draft which I mean, he he is he is
6:40heading that way.
6:42>> But like over Jacobs and Hall is crazy to me. Like we we can't forget like what we know about players after we see them
6:49do well in a good environment. Like what we what we know about them as players.
6:53We've never seen Javonte get back to what we he was at the beginning of his career. He was in a great fantasy
6:58situation last year. Maybe he will be this year, but he's not like the caliber of talent at this point in his career as
7:04Hall or even Jacobs and Jacobs is a little late stage too, but definitely not Hall. Like I would put Williams with
7:09Etienne. I think Williams is a as good as Etienne right now. And Etienne I think both of them are worse than Kyren
7:15Williams.
7:16>> Uh I don't know. I don't know about that.
7:19>> He always surprised me, man. You remember that catch last year? He like he did a little like a wheel route and
7:24then he dug it to the outside and he like contorted his body. Like this dude has it in him when they need it and they
7:29go to him a lot. The Rams are going to score a lot. Why wouldn't you target the Rams?
7:33>> Yeah. I I agree with Kyren as a target.
7:35All right, we're up round four top of the ADP. You want to do double elite tight end?
7:40>> Yes. Yes, I do. This is the first one I've ever done this. Let's let's try and push it.
7:44>> Let's try and Well, you know what? No, I said I was going to let you drive.
7:47>> Yeah, let's take it.
7:48>> Here you go. Double elite tight end. You guys you guys comment down below.
7:52How many double elite tight end teams have you done? Are are they good? Are they bad?
7:56>> Yeah, I've actually done a bunch already and I feel like they're fine just cuz of what you can get late at wide receiver
8:01is equal to what you can get in the mid rounds at wide receiver like pretty much. Like it's you really can you don't
8:07have to stretch to make the case for a guy going in round 12 to match a wide receiver going in round eight.
8:13>> I'm I'm always happy to get more Loveland teams. I have gotten these starts more on DraftKings where I I mean
8:21the the chances of these guys of the chance of Loveland being in your flex on DraftKings in a week where he
8:26doesn't score a touchdown are just much higher cuz I think he can obviously rack up the receptions.
8:31>> him at 10 overall. Like he is he I know that we love Burden and everything, but like Loveland I think is going to be the
8:36focal point. I think he might just do the Kelce thing, you know, where all of a sudden he's you know, we're drafting
8:41Loveland in the first round next year. I I think that's like I don't think it's likely, but I think it's like more
8:46likely than other people probably think it is.
8:49>> Uh well, I'm really hoping we get Jaylen Waddle here. I don't think we're I don't think we're going to be able to do it.
8:54>> Well, I mean, you might want to consult you might want to consult me about that because if you look two picks down
9:00if you look two picks down, there is a guy that I want.
9:04>> All right, I mean, we can hey, I'm letting you drive the ship. I'm I'm not happy that I do not think DJ Moore is a
9:10good pick.
9:10>> We got to talk about DJ Moore a little bit. All right, DJ Moore go back a few years. Had a great year on
9:18the on the Bears. First year on the Bears was a great year. Prior to years before that, right? Prior to years on
9:23the Panthers was a good year. And then the first year Ben Johnson came, it was immediate mismatch of scheme.
9:29DJ Moore is not a polished route runner.
9:31He's a dude who just makes >> Well, he was not good in 2024. He was he was fine in 2024.
9:36>> How many where where is What am I looking at here?
9:38>> 2020 2023 he finished as a wide receiver eight. 2024 he finishes a wide receiver >> 14 points per game. I would take that. I
9:45would take 14 points per game from DJ Moore. Listen, Ben Johnson comes in, it's a scheme mismatch, it doesn't work out, he's
9:52looking for other options. Then in the draft they take Burden and Loveland with like Loveland is a top 10 pick, that's
9:57crazy. That signals to them that like these are the kind of guys I want. DJ, you're just not the kind of guy we want.
10:03Um you know, he goes to the Bills who who's now it's Brady, right? Brady was his OC in Carolina when he went nuts for
10:10those two years. So Brady is like on the hot seat because of all the [ __ ] that's been going on in Buffalo and I don't
10:15know how the hell he got that job. But he's, you know, he's like, "What the hell do I do? I got to go get the only
10:20guy who's done it for me, who knows my scheme inside and out." And DJ Moore is going to be the focal point of that
10:25offense. Now whether or not you think he's still got it physically, I think he's he's lost a step since Carolina, but like I don't think it's the stats
10:33are reflective of of what he's what he's shown on the field. I know he gave up on some stuff last year, whatever whatever.
10:39>> I just I think I think he is I think he is physically past it. I think it's an offense that doesn't hyper-target or
10:45hyper-fixate on anyone to the point that Stefon Diggs said, "I don't care how good this team is, I'm out. I'm not
10:50going to get the ball as much as I want." I think he's duplicative with both Shakir and Kincaid in terms of the
10:56area of the field where he gets the ball. I don't think he's going to get any of his cool designed running stuff
11:01cuz that's all going to be James Cook. I I and I mean the goal line stuff is all Josh Allen. Like I I think DJ honestly I
11:07think DJ Moore and McLaurin it's both the same thing >> No, dude. You guys are going to be so wrong about DJ Moore, it's crazy. DJ
11:13Moore is going to come in and probably have 10 targets a game. Shakir is going to be sent to the shadow realm.
11:18Shakir Shakir is the most mid player ever.
11:21>> DJ Moore's just as mid.
11:22>> No, he's not. No, he's not. I'm telling you you're wrong.
11:25You don't have to agree with me, but DJ Moore we've seen him be elite or close to it earlier in his career on offense that
11:31fit him with the coach >> I was I was a pro. okay picture Well, yeah. I mean, that's I mean, I I
11:38actually think that I was going to say that that actually works against him because uh Billy Beane is so bad or Brandon
11:44Beane is so bad at his job.
11:45>> think just think about it. Think about all the negative press the Bills front office has gotten this off-season and how much pressure is on them to figure
11:52out something on offense and help Josh Allen and DJ >> people make their best decisions with their backs against >> Like it or not, this is what they're
11:58doing. They're trying to make it cook and more. They're trying to make the offense cook and more in a little king
12:03cake. That's what they're trying to do.
12:05They're not going to Keon Coleman.
12:06They're not going to Shakir who's recovering from like ankle surgery, right?
12:10Like this is what they're doing, Davis.
12:12I just have to tell you. They're going to give him screens. He's going deep.
12:14They're going to give him those short screens >> He he is definitely going to get screens.
12:17>> get those short This is what they're going to do. They're going to tell three tight ends to run up the field and block
12:21for DJ Moore when he catches it for yards and >> We got to we got to make it big.
12:24>> Jalen Hurts is a great pick here.
12:27>> You want to do you you'd rather do that than stack?
12:30>> Yes, I would.
12:31>> Okay.
12:32Well, that works cuz we can take we can take one >> Hurts because I think he's really underpriced and I think Caleb is kind of
12:37appropriately priced.
12:40>> Um I mean, I think Caleb's ceiling is so much higher cuz he can throw for 45 touchdowns. Whereas that'll never
12:46happen. That'll never happen for Hurts.
12:47But I mean, Hurts obviously can score three rushing touchdowns in a game.
12:50>> I think the ceiling is high is just as high in a different way. How likely it is is debatable for sure.
12:55>> Yeah.
12:56I have I have no I have no I mean, I think I think taking Jalen Hurts there's fine. I I was hoping we were going to
13:01get a chance to take Marv cuz we our wide receivers are not very good.
13:06But, you know, sometimes sometimes that's the way it goes.
13:09>> it. So, let's talk about it. Our wide receivers are awesome. But if you just thought about this, just think about
13:12this, okay? You might be wrong about how good DJ Moore is right now. You might be >> I I'm definitely not wrong about how
13:18good he is. The thing I could be wrong is that they might be so stubborn they're willing to be a worse football
13:23team to get >> No, I think you're wrong about how good he is if you think he's if you think he's bad, I think you're wrong about it.
13:29>> I mean, he's been he's been bad for He's been under 1 and 1/2 yards per route run for two full seasons.
13:34>> care about that. I just explained why.
13:37It's There's situational [ __ ] that goes on and on every team.
13:40>> to take Lemon, Pierce, Parker Washington, or Metcalf, Sutton, or Reed?
13:47>> Lemon.
13:48>> Yeah. Uh there situational stuff does not apply to for yards per route run. It's It's literally just a measurement of how good you are.
13:55>> How many All right, how many Are the Bills going to be projected for like the most implied points total every week?
14:02>> Uh someone actually did Someone actually did the math. They're not I believe the Rams are. I believe the Rams have the
14:07highest implied points total.
14:09>> Yeah, they just don't They just don't throw in the red zone very much.
14:12>> What if things change a little bit and they do? Now that they have screen master DJ Moore. Like things things just
14:17matter.
14:18>> Shakir is one of the best scr- screen guys in the NFL.
14:22>> Shakir is desperation. Shakir as your wide receiver one is desperation. It's not good.
14:28You know, I just feel like you've got a clear wide receiver one to guard Allen.
14:32>> This honestly this is actually stunning to me.
14:35Last 3 years, Josh Allen 25, 28, and 29 passing touchdowns. That I I would have If you would have just asked me how many
14:42passing touchdowns, I would have said 35.
14:45>> Yeah, it's not as Scoring was down though. Scoring has been down though.
14:49Right?
14:49>> But Josh is just going to run. I mean, he had 14 rushing touchdowns last year.
14:53>> are down because he didn't He lost Diggs and they never recovered.
14:57>> Well, they had Diggs three They had Diggs 3 years ago and he had 29 passing touchdowns.
15:02>> And then it it decreased and decreased.
15:04I mean, they had Diggs for a few years and he scored a lot of touchdowns.
15:07>> I I wonder I I I want to look at the I want to look at the predict page and see
15:11what the DJ Moore comps are. I wonder if he's >> DJ Moore's yards after contact per attempt last year were tied with Jackson
15:16Smith-Njigba and like Parker Washington.
15:18>> I I I got to say this is the worst list of comps of an age 28 10 points per game
15:23player I have ever seen in my [ __ ] life. Taylor Gabriel, Ray Ray McLeod, Noah Brown, NBS, Hollywood Brown, Jason
15:30Avant. I literally don't know who this Walker player is, Kendall Wright, and Darrel Williams.
15:34>> And like all these fun stats are how fantasy players make mistakes year year for year.
15:40>> Fun fun stats are how they lose.
15:42>> Thinking I mean sometimes sometimes stats make sense, sometimes they don't.
15:45Sometimes film makes sense. Actually, all the time film makes sense with context.
15:51You know?
15:51>> That's that's what they're that's what they're saying.
15:54>> Dig into the stats next.
15:55>> All right. Well, we are up.
15:59>> We need running backs so bad. This is this is this is insane. We got to take Dobbins here.
16:04>> You want to take Dobbins instead of a wide receiver?
16:06>> Yeah. Yeah. We have one running back.
16:10We have three wide receivers. Why would I take a wide receiver?
16:14>> Cuz our wide receivers Yeah. Well, whatever. I mean >> Come on, Davis.
16:18>> I I don't make I it's just obviously it's going to be very hard anytime you do the double elite and you pass on a
16:24running back like we passed on Rhamondre Stevenson. I'm not not saying it's wrong. You're just going to feel bad about it.
16:29>> Let's just assume that twice a year Loveland and Bowers are combining for 50.
16:36>> Yeah.
16:36>> that goes a long way.
16:38It goes a long way.
16:40You know, those big big weeks really make up for the weeks that you're mid.
16:45>> You know, I I would need I would need Shady Advice or Sacrilegious to really tell me um how true.
16:51>> They're probably going to say I'm exactly right.
16:53>> All right. So, we've got Hurts, Jacobs, Dobbins, Jamarr Chase, DJ Moore, Makai Lemon, Brock Bowers, and Cole Kmet.
17:00>> dealer's choice with this one. I'm going to I'm going dealer's choice, but you can't take Worthy.
17:04>> All right. We'll take uh we'll take Rizzy P then. As our little little bit of little bit of extra ceiling there.
17:12And uh you know, you might have to break your 3573 rule here cuz we might want an extra running back instead of that
17:18seventh wide receiver.
17:20You might have to You might have to free yourself from the constraints of tyranny of rosters.
17:24>> don't know how you could ever think you could know that, but it's okay.
17:28Listen, this is your team technically. I know you're you're allowing me graciously to pick, but I'm not if you if you feel strongly enough about the
17:34structural nature >> I I I would just say this, I don't think it takes I don't think it takes uh you know uh an astrophysicist to say
17:42that a team whose second running back is JK Dobbins is going to have both the low floor and a low ceiling uh at running
17:49back cuz like JK Dobbins got the ball like a bazillion times per game last year, and I believe JK Dobbins scored 10 and 1/2 points per
17:58game.
17:59>> Okay, that's fair.
18:00That's fair. That's fair, but show me the ceiling late.
18:04>> Uh show you the ceiling late? I mean, it would just It would just all It would just all be It's just I mean, I don't
18:10know who's going to turn their ankle.
18:11>> Like I would probably take two more running backs in a row.
18:15Like I would make sure You know what I mean? That's probably what I would do. I like to build balance. I kind of take I
18:20take positions all the way throughout generally. It's I don't know. It's worked out for me so far, you know? I've I'm directionally accurate. I'm not
18:28right about everything, but like I'm pretty directionally accurate.
18:31>> Sure. Yeah.
18:32>> Hill?
18:33Oh, man.
18:34>> This is We got some We got some friends and family here. We've got Goods here.
18:38>> Goods? Oh, man. Goods.
18:40>> Big big big board big board champion Goods.
18:42>> Royalty. Royalty.
18:44He's got the goods, they say.
18:46>> So I mean, some of the running backs who I think do legitimately have ceiling late. I mean, Keaton has ceiling late. I
18:51think Sharbs has ceiling late.
18:53>> You don't want to take the guy who led the league in yards after contact per attempt tied with Devon Achane?
18:58You don't want to take that guy?
19:00>> I don't I literally Chris Rodriguez?
19:02>> Yes.
19:03>> Chris Rodriguez actually does fit this build because there's going to be some weeks that 8.4 points is uh good enough,
19:10and Chris Rodriguez is >> Role or Tuton gets hurt.
19:13You know? Things like that. Also it's like how much do you think the Jags are going to score?
19:19Probably a lot. They're going to score a lot.
19:21>> I think the Jags are going to be pretty good.
19:22>> I think I think I'm not going to be overweight Rodriguez anymore. He's a fine pick now. And I think that I'm
19:27probably going to end up having some Tuten too as he keeps falling.
19:30>> Well, we are actually we are actually getting pretty lucky with the way the board is falling here at at at running
19:35back. Um take your take your pick.
19:37>> Let's take Rodriguez.
19:39>> All right. I I definitely prefer JCM over Rodriguez, but I I get it.
19:44>> I I can hear that. I just I don't I don't know, man.
19:47>> They they honestly will probably have the same role.
19:50>> Maybe. Yeah, like I think the most likely situation in Jacksonville is that both of them are splitting they're taking turns like being the early down
19:57backs.
19:58Um and if it's third and three, maybe they'll stay in, but if it's not, then Laquinton is coming in.
20:04That's I like I don't think Tuten's upside is the same as what everybody thinks it is. I don't think he's keeping
20:07Laquinton off the field.
20:09You know?
20:10>> Uh he So, the deal with Tuten is like you would want him to be the receiving down back on early downs, which is I
20:16mean lots of running backs have gotten there.
20:18>> Yeah, sure, but I just think it's going to be even split. And like would you trade that for the goal line role?
20:23You know, he might catch a few passes on early downs like Tuten was not featured in a they didn't make an effort to give
20:28him the ball in the passing game much at all last year. He had like 10 catches last year.
20:32Laquinton Allen had as many catches as him last year. Chris Rodriguez had like what? Four? Half.
20:37>> Chris Chris Rodriguez has like nine catches in his last eight games.
20:41>> I'm not banking on that. I'm I'm not banking on that.
20:43>> I I actually think we should take Malik Willis.
20:47>> Okay.
20:48>> Uh cuz I'm just trying to think about our our next quarterback is not up until Mendoza.
20:52>> I'm down. That's sharp. I like that.
20:54>> And then Nate Willis does have he's got Dulcich late and then he's got, you know, whatever wide receiver you want in
21:00the last round. Malik Washington, Chris Bell, Jaylen Tolbert, Tutu Atwell.
21:03>> I mean, well, also not to go back too much to Rodriguez, but like like could you it's it's not hard to see
21:10the Jamal Williams here. Like how like how many more running backs have been in a more prime spot to like even if he
21:16doesn't take away way work away from Tuton, like just have the goal line role?
21:20You know, like how many more backs are just more primed to have that than him?
21:26>> I don't I don't I don't disagree with you. I just like I just I don't think he's very good. You know, and I think
21:31like obviously he's going to get he's going to get a big crack at it because he's playing with his college coach and
21:38so that is you know, he brought him in.
21:41I like I I'm not a a Chris Rodriguez hater in the sense that I think he's going to be a total zero. I just think
21:48he is going to kind of be like a much worse version of like Kareem Hunt, like a less successful version of
21:54>> He broke off a 54 the first run of that game last year, he broke off an over 50 yard run.
21:59Like Kareem Hunt is not doing that. He hit a hole and he went for 54 yards. He got tackled, sure. But I mean, he's
22:06he's got burst.
22:07Like and he >> just cuz he's he's been in the NFL for a long time.
22:12>> on one team and they and they you know, maybe they screwed him over. I don't know, maybe they didn't like him.
22:17I don't you just don't know. Like he's getting at his college coach plucked him out and was like, "Yo, you led the league you led you led the
22:24league in the metric that I care about the most last year.
22:27You tied with H and if you include all running backs who had all carries, he was seventh tied with H and Tuton was
22:3254th.
22:33Like Cohen has been vocal about caring about yards after contact per attempt.
22:38>> Football football coaches just love to do that. They just love to bring guys with them. That's like such a football
22:44guy thing. So, I like I I'm not saying Chris Rodriguez is not going to get playing time. He's he most certainly is.
22:50I just I personally do not expect him to be that successful in in that role.
22:54>> that's fair. Yeah, I don't know that I expect it either, but I definitely think at this point with the running back like
22:59the cost of running back at a as a whole, like the greater ADP, like I think it's fair. I think he's a fair
23:04cost.
23:05>> Um okay, if we want to take a running back, it would be a Keaton Mitchell or Marks. Wide receiver would
23:10>> I'm actually Marks. I'm Marks over Mitchell right now.
23:14>> Uh I am I am not, but I said, you know, I'm I'm going to let the I'm going to let the advanced rate drafter guy do his
23:19thing.
23:19>> You You were in on Marks last year more than me, I think.
23:22And you were I think we both thought he couldn't play.
23:25>> Yes, because I was anti I was anti Chubb. And and frankly, uh I mean, David Montgomery and and 29-year-old Nick Chubb, it's like that
23:33that's a Charizard Charmeleon um situation, I think.
23:36>> It's not yet. He's He's transforming currently. He's mid Whatever that's called. He's like that You know the You know the Animorphs books where you see
23:43them >> Yes.
23:45>> Yeah, he's one of those. And he's becoming Nick Chubb, for sure.
23:48>> Like I I don't think he's fully cooked, but I think he is on the grill.
23:54I think I think David Montgomery is on the grill. He or or marinating, right?
23:57He's on the He's on the plate uh with uh with, you know, the the olive oil and the garlic and the rosemary.
24:02>> just dumped him out of the ziplock and he's sitting there, man. And he's getting >> He's getting to room temperature. He's
24:07getting to room temperature.
24:09>> Right. So, think about Woody Marks. I mean, like he's going to have a base role. He's going to >> Best Best thing I can say about Woody
24:15Marks is that he's young.
24:17>> He's He's going to catch passes.
24:19>> Do you want to I guess this is pretty early for Mendoza.
24:23>> Um we should move back to uh wide receiver here, I think. I would probably be McMillan if he's If he's there he's
24:30gone.
24:31>> He He went.
24:32>> Mm. What's tight end there? What's tight end?
24:35>> Uh tight end would be like Konyan Sedik or Chig. Chig is a bring back to the Jags stuff.
24:40>> Let's take Chig.
24:42I've always been a believer. I I He's just a toss-up for me.
24:45>> I I really like Chig Okonkwo. I I think he's >> that kills running back That kills tight end for us. You can remove tight end.
24:50>> Yes. We have got Jalen Hurts, Malik Willis, Josh Jacobs, JK Dobbins, Chris Rodriguez, Woody Marks, Jamar Chase, DJ Moore, Makai Lemon, Ricky Pearsall,
25:01Brock Bowers, Colson Loveland, and Chig Okongwu.
25:04>> I mean, we have pretty wide ranges of outcomes for these running backs. Like, JK Dobbins could be a top-12 running
25:09back. He just could be. He was pacing He was pacing to be really good and you know, on all the all the metrics until
25:16he went down with that >> think I want to draft Yeah, the issue is is that he's probably not going to get the goal line stuff and
25:23he's not going to catch any passes at all.
25:25>> I don't know if that's probably going to get the goal line stuff. I would not say Zonovan Knight is a lock to get the goal
25:29line.
25:29>> No, they're I think they're think they're going to give it to Harvey.
25:32>> Goal line runs? No.
25:35No, I would I disagree, for sure. I think I think Dobbins is getting that. I They made it a priority to get Dobbins.
25:40They to keep him. They're >> Well, reportedly reportedly they were one of the teams that was interested in Kenneth Walker and in Etienne as well.
25:48>> Well, I mean, who wouldn't be interested in Kenneth Walker?
25:51You know?
25:51>> You know, it's funny. Like, I'm going to draft a ton of him. I mean, I don't know if Kenneth Walker is that good. Like,
25:56I think I think he's I think he's I think he's very good at like the thing he does. I just don't know
26:01>> Dude, the league the league wants people like him right now. They They watch They value the running more than the pass
26:05catching right now. They They value a runner more than a pass catcher right now.
26:09>> Yeah.
26:10>> Yeah, that is true.
26:11>> And he's dude, he's got it, man. He's got it. Give him Give him third Give him 30 carries in a crazy game and Ken
26:17Walker's breaking two.
26:18>> Yes.
26:19Uh all right, what are you thinking positionally next?
26:22>> Where can you pull up the team we need uh in my mind? Let's see, where are we?
26:27>> We need We have a 2-4-4-3.
26:29>> In my mind, we're hitting receiver next.
26:33>> Yes.
26:34>> Um okay. And then we're going to hope that Tank comes back. Actually, >> We well, >> these receivers. I don't love these
26:40receivers.
26:41>> May- May- if you want a third quarterback, it would it would be Mendoza time.
26:45>> Um pull up QB real quick. Isolate QB real quick. Let me see who's left.
26:50>> Uh >> Mendoza.
26:51>> Mendoza, Geno Rodgers, Brissett, Tua.
26:54>> I don't think Geno's getting benched.
26:58>> I don't think I don't think I don't think he is getting benched either.
27:02>> don't think he's getting benched. I think Kirk is going to play for a while.
27:06I think I don't want to take Mendoza here.
27:08>> Okay.
27:09>> I want to go I want to go um Tank.
27:14I want to take Tank.
27:15>> Tank Bigsby is available. We can take we can I I Tank Bigsby is a is a good good click.
27:21>> I mean, yeah, this dude I I mean, it's just there's a chance that he has, you know, a few, you know, a handful of
27:26touches a game regardless, you know. He The last game of the season, I believe, for the Eagles, he was out on the first
27:31drive rotating with with Barkley. I know it's a new OC, but like they've got two dudes who can run, and Barkley is
27:36getting older, and it just makes sense.
27:39>> I think he I think he has very little standalone value. You might get You might get one game where he has like a
27:45big long run or whatever, but >> he punches it in. Barkley comes off, he punches it in.
27:49>> He and Brian Robinson Jr. are good and like good running backs, fine running backs on offenses that are built around running the ball, built around
28:00the running back.
28:01>> Tank is a lot better runner, but I agree that they're similar similar backs.
28:04>> Yeah.
28:05Just like uh just like very few like no competition on the roster. Will Shipley is just a third-down back. I literally
28:11don't even know who the Falcons third running back is right now. It's got to be >> Tank Bigsby's tape last year is
28:15electric. He jumps off the field. The dude eats up yardage. He's just >> Someone's in front of him, okay, I'm immediately turning my hips 90 degrees
28:23>> cannon.
28:23>> 90 degrees and I'm gone, you know, he's gone.
28:26Cuts to the outside, he can beat you there every time.
28:28>> All right, we should take a wide receiver, probably, uh or or a quarterback.
28:33Um Oh, Mendoza went.
28:35>> Can we take Geno?
28:37Uh well, what Where are you at with Brissett? Where are you at with Brissett?
28:40>> Oh, he went, too.
28:42>> He went, but where are you at with him?
28:43I'll let's take Geno, but tell me where Where at with Brissett.
28:46>> I mean, I think Brissett is just like a pretty big dog to play in week 17.
28:52>> Yeah, um I mean I sort of struggle with that a little bit just philosophically, but I understand why you think that.
29:00I just feel like this, you know, like we talked about it earlier, there's too much variance, but like >> This I mean, that's just like it like go
29:05if you go back and look at at the playoff weeks last season. Like here, let's just let me go pull up season
29:10schedules and results.
29:13Let me pull up week set and let's just go through some of the quarterbacks in these week 17 games. So >> 100 quarterbacks started last year
29:19because like cuz basically like my main thought is like >> So Dak and Josh Johnson started in this game.
29:27Uh that you have So there you go.
29:28There's there's one game where it was just a total random one.
29:32Uh Minnesota Detroit, uh it was McCarthy. Broncos Chiefs, it was a Latavius Murray. Texans Chargers, both the starters weren't there. Ravens
29:40Packers, uh it was I don't even remember who started for the Ravens in that game. It was not Lamar.
29:46>> This is kind of like kind of my point though is that it's so >> Tyler Tyler Huntley Tyler Huntley and
29:50Malik Willis.
29:52>> It's so chaotic, you can't predict this stuff.
29:54>> So I don't I don't disagree I don't disagree with your chaos point and and if you just want to say like, "Hey, the
29:59the team is playing to start Jacoby Brissett." My point is that it's going to be so absurd that like they're going
30:06to be so bad and they it's just going to be >> there's worlds where the rookie comes There's worlds where the rookie comes in
30:11and it's worse and they just throw Brissett back in there.
30:13>> Oh, yeah. That I mean, that that yes, that is a fair >> odds that a quarterback gets hurt in a
30:18given season? It's got to be like 30%.
30:20>> Oh, it's really high.
30:21>> Right, maybe even higher than that. Like for one or more games. Like any quarterback any week, what are the odds
30:26they get hurt, you know? So like or over the course of a season rather. Any quarterback one season, what are the
30:30odds they get hurt? And then what are the odds that um a rookie who doesn't know how to protect himself gets hurt if
30:36he's trying to learn, especially if the line is [ __ ] Like I just feel like if we see Brissett in there with McBride
30:44and Wilson, we know what's going to happen. We can't predict he's not going to be there. And even if he is there for
30:49the first two thirds of the season, he might help you with one of your earlier quarterbacks who got a freak injury.
30:54Like I feel like he's a he could be a decent advance rate piece and maybe you >> So that that is where I agree with you.
31:01I I think I think Brissett is probably actually quite a good advance rate piece cuz it would not surprise me if he
31:06easily outscores Gino.
31:08>> Like it's around 15.
31:09>> Yeah, I I don't I don't I I do not I do not disagree. I just think his likelihood of playing
31:16>> yeah, I would agree with I would agree with your thought process there for sure, for sure. I just always sort of
31:20like try to remind myself that I'm not in control.
31:24>> Yeah. Like I I like I like Jacoby in superflex. Like I I think he's a little bit underpriced in superflex cuz he he
31:33works good as an advance rate piece there.
31:35>> I'm getting weird feelings in those drafts.
31:37>> Yeah, and I'm not drafting Carson Beck in this stuff, but like I would draft Carson Beck in the superflex stuff.
31:44>> Right. So we're done at quarterback. We need um we're done at running back. We're we need two receivers to to end this up.
31:50Three receivers to end this up.
31:52>> Can I sell you on Ted Hearst?
31:54>> You don't even have to. I'm with you.
31:56>> Yeah, love love Ted Hearst. Ted Hearst >> When I heard Reeves, I think it was this off season you were talking to Reeves or
32:01someone was and then he was like this is one of those dudes that like five or five six years ago we would have been
32:05all over. Like you know and once Reeves I I respect Reeves a lot. So when I hear him talk highly about a guy's ability,
32:12I'm I'm in.
32:14>> Yes. Reeves Reeves is a big ball knower and there's already been some positive coach speak on him. He's a good fantasy
32:21player. He's a good fantasy player.
32:22>> Yeah, yeah, he's yeah. I love I like I like the prospects there. Although we did hear similar things about Donte
32:28Thornton last year.
32:29Um >> Yeah, but so so like that's a case where you know the coaches are lying because Donte Thornton is actively bad. Like
32:35sometimes you can >> those graphics? They're like Oh, wait.
32:38The >> only like his physical specs were like Calvin Johnson, Randy Moss, Dante Thornton.
32:45>> All right. Uh our wide receiver room is Jamarr Chase, DJ Moore, Michael Wilson, Ricky Pearsall, Ted Ginn Sr. We need
32:50another wide receiver here.
32:53>> Um I think I mean I'm kind of into Tank Dell. Are you into Tank Dell? It helps with marks, too.
32:59>> Yeah. Yeah, I mean I I don't want to be too crazy overweight on Tank Dell because he is coming back from one of
33:05the most catastrophic injuries of all time. So so bad.
33:10>> in the BBM in week 16. I had two teams with Tank Dell alive and I thought I was like, all right, I'm getting one of
33:16these in. He was 20 and a half points at halftime and then it all went away.
33:21>> Yes.
33:22>> Many such cases. Just like Jared you could tell.
33:26>> Jared Jared Wayne. I I will I will never forget his name cuz he was just like such a total like practice squatter,
33:32like not real not real NFL player who just giga nuked my guy.
33:39You hate to see you you quite literally do hate to see it. So we have one more wide receiver we are going to take. We can take any of
33:47the Miami guys.
33:49We could take Adonai Mitchell if he is still there.
33:52>> Zino. I would take AD because we don't know I mean they might they're one of those teams that might be playing three
33:57wide, too. I know they drafted Seddik and Taylor, but like if they're getting If they're getting railed in all these games and they got Cooper, Wilson, and
34:06AD like ball out, you know? I just feel like we're going to get a lot of garbage time from the Jets. So I'm in on AD
34:13and from a talent level, too.
34:16>> Uh sure. Yeah, I'm I'm hip. I'm with it.
34:19Um Adonai Mitchell I mean I just I think that I I mean I've said this so many times in this channel people are
34:24probably sick of it, but Adonai Mitchell you know, were were he to get his type 1 diabetes and started taking Adderall.
34:33Cuz if he got his type 1 diabetes under control and started taking Adderall, he would basically be Randy Moss. Like I
34:39think he I think he's so unbelievably good. I still can't believe the Colts traded him away. And that trade felt felt It really felt like a real cut off
34:47your nose to spite your face situation.
34:49Like >> Yeah, it felt like they felt they were never going to be able to wash that off.
34:52>> Yeah, like like he And And don't get me wrong. Like if I was a coach, I'd be like, I can never forgive that. That is
34:57the worst type of mistake. It's just It's just >> crazy. It was almost like he tried to do it because it was so impossible.
35:04>> It It yes. Like it wasn't even I It was worse than the De'Marco Auto one. Like the De'Marco Auto one is like It's just
35:10like whatever, but the Adam >> out. He balled out at the end of the year.
35:14>> Yes.
35:15>> He balled out much like DJ Moore balled out at the end of the year. When they needed him, they went to him. When the
35:19chips were down, they went to him in the playoffs.
35:22>> That's not true. He just He just caught a Hail Mary. That's all that happened.
35:26>> Look at it. Go look it up.
35:29>> All right. Well, I I am going to look it up and I I think that you >> I'm actually not sure. But I found I
35:33remember >> was going to say I I don't I don't I He did He So he did have one big game at
35:38the end of the year, but I think you are mistaken how many targets it was on.
35:42Um yeah, his big game was five for 97 and >> Well, I mean that yeah, oversaturated.
35:46It's I mean look at the Bills room and look at the Bears room. The Bears room was stacked. You have Romeo Doubs,
35:51Quentin Johnston, Quentin Johnston, Loveland, De'Andre Swift. We missed our pick.
35:57>> No, no, we didn't. He was in He was in our queue. Um our team is Jalen Hurts, Malik Willis, Geno Smith, Josh Jacobs,
36:03JK Dobbins, Chris Rodriguez, Woody Marks, Tank Bigsby, Jamar Chase, DJ Moore, Mecole Hardman, Ricky Pearsall, Ted Ginn, Tank Dell, Adonai Mitchell, Brock
36:11Bowers, Quentin Johnston, and Chigoziem Okonkwo. Well, Buck, is this Is this a team you're happy to put your name on to
36:15the people?
36:16>> For sure. Yeah, I mean unless Loveland or Bowers goes down for sure because I think I'm going to be counting on
36:22uh tight end in the flex probably like half the time this year. Just because of the you know, the nature of the wide receiver position and
36:28our room. I mean, we have a lot of ceiling at the room. I know you don't like Moore, but he's got ceiling being
36:32the number one and for Josh Allen, he does have ceiling.
36:36Um, Jamar Chase could be dropping 50 all the time. Pearsall could come back. I mean, Legette is a great value for a
36:41first-round pick and we got him stacked.
36:43Hurst could be uh starting in 12. Dell could be starting in, you know, Dell could play at some point this year.
36:50>> Yeah.
36:50>> But >> I feel like we're good. I feel like we got upside as long as our tight end hits our flex. I mean, stay woke. That's what
36:55you got to do.
36:56>> I can't say that I'm going to be employing the 3573 strategy all that often, but I do like some of the lessons
37:03learned here about trying to get tight end scores in your flex.
37:06I actually I think this team, the thing it really does demonstrate is there's no difference between DJ Moore and Ricky Pearsall. They are the same pick. They
37:14are the same value proposition. Um, they just cost very different things. And if you if you're a big DJ Moore guy, then
37:20sub that name out for Terry McLaurin.
37:22Terry McLaurin and Quinton Johnston are the same value proposition. These are guys who can average about 11 and a half points per game and the difference is uh
37:31how often you think they can meet their ceilings. But I mean, basically this is just true that the proliferation of tight end 12 personnel, 13 personnel has
37:39meant the extinction of the wide receiver two >> I just have one question. I have one question for you. What if DJ Moore goes
37:46for 1,500 yards and 10 touchdowns?
