Jayden Daniels

PositiveProjection0:05

BDGE Fantasy Football views Jayden Daniels as a superstar with elite rushing upside, including potential for 1,000 rushing yards, paired with significant passing efficiency projected at 3,800 yards and 25 touchdowns. His explosive arm and downfield accuracy make him a no-brainer target at his 5th or 6th round ADP.

Insight page

Justin Fields

NegativeProjection0:00

BDGE Fantasy Football contrasts Justin Fields with Jayden Daniels, noting that while both possess elite rushing upside, Fields is a less accurate passer downfield, making him a less desirable fantasy asset by comparison.

0:00I think anytime you can grab a guy that
0:01can rush for 1,000 yards at QB, and this
0:04is not a Justin Fields type player cuz
0:05Jayden Daniels, I mean, the arm is
0:07explosive. But, we are a year removed
0:09from Jayden Daniels' offensive Rookie of
0:12the Year explosion, all right? He came
0:14in and took the league by storm. He had
0:16a nearly 4,500 yard, 31 total touchdown
0:20season. Almost ran for 900 yards, and he
0:22led a scoring offense that was top five.
0:25And he did this with the receiving group
0:27at the time that was pretty much just as
0:29poor as it is going into this year. And
0:31I think that would be my biggest
0:32pullback is like, I'm a little bit
0:34nervous about the the weapons in this
0:35group for sure. But again, he did this
0:37pretty much with the same group that he
0:38did back then. I just think Jayden
0:40Daniels is a superstar. I am also
0:43extremely optimistic about David Blough
0:45coming in as our offensive coordinator.
0:47Similar to how I mentioned for Saquon, a
0:49lot of David Blough's change, which I I
0:51tried to tap into the beat reporters and
0:53see what their biggest like takeaways
0:55of, okay, what is being installed in the
0:57offense. They're going to be moving
0:58Jayden Daniels under center all the
1:00time. They're going to be letting him
1:01thrive in play action, rollouts,
1:03bootlegs, which I think complements his
1:05skillset significantly more. Uh and not
1:07everyone's going to be the next Ben
1:08Johnson or Liam Coen, but I will say
1:10Blough's one of those dudes, the more I
1:13listen to him, the more I hear him talk,
1:15I feel more and more comfortable with
1:16him being one of the higher possibility
1:18dudes of landing into that category of
1:21of one of the next better minded
1:23offensive coaches. I think there's a
1:25very good chance that Stefon Diggs signs
1:26with Washington. And at as their number
1:29two, I kind of like that. And now all of
1:30a sudden you have Terry McLaurin as the
1:32one, you got Stefon Diggs as the two,
1:34you got Antonio Williams the exciting
1:36slot receiver, you got Chiggy at tight
1:38end. And now before you know it, you can
1:40talk yourself into it, like you can
1:41squint a little bit and see like not a
1:43bad weapons group. And I also think
1:44given the weapons group, they're they're
1:45very likely going to lean much heavier
1:47into the two tight end set craze that's
1:49happening in the NFL. And this defense,
1:51while, you know, kind of improved, they
1:53add some pieces in the draft, etc., I
1:55think they're still going to be pretty
1:56bad. And that will require the offense
1:57to score a lot. So, I think anytime you
1:59can grab a guy that can rush for 1,000
2:01yards at QB, and this is not a Justin
2:04Fields-type player, cuz Jayden Daniels,
2:05I mean, the arm is explosive. He's very
2:07accurate downfield. He's a much more
2:09accurate passer than Justin Fields is.
2:11So, it's like taking the rushing upside
2:13of a Justin Fields, but pairing it with
2:15a dude who can throw for 25 passing
2:16touchdowns, and can throw for 3,800
2:19yards. So, I just think the upside and
2:21the floor of of of a dude with this sort
2:23of rushing capability is like a a
2:25no-brainer in the fifth or sixth round,
2:27or wherever he's going to be at.
