Which performances does the Receiver Score want to buy? Which to sell? Are Colston Loveland, Luther Burden, and Rome Odunze going to be ok? A LOT on @MBFantasyLife for this week’s Receiver Score’s ROS Buys and Fade
Bears Week 1 first-read targets (per @FantasyPtsData) Kalif Raymond - 6 Luther Burden - 5 Cole Kmet - 3 Colston Loveland - 2 Rome Odunze - 1 Jahdae Walker - 1
2nd and 10 from the 47 0:38 left in the half Great timing route from Luther Burden, perfect read/throw from Caleb Williams. Next play is a 29-yard scramble to the house.
Answers to "would the slot guy stay on for 2-WR sets": 1. Josh Downs: Yes, ran 32 routes on 34 Daniel Jones dropbacks 2. Jayden Reed: No, ran 29 routes on 46 Jordan Love dropbacks 3. Luther Burden: Somewhat, ran 27 routes on 38 Caleb Williams dropbacks
All offseason… “Rome Odunze is the WR1… Luther Burden is the WR1…. Colston Loveland is the primary pass catcher…” meanwhile Kalif Raymond in Week 1: 9 TAR (Team high) 8 REC (Team high) 84 Yards (Team high)
Notable WR FF performances (half-point PPR): Jalen Coker - 29.8 Christian Watson - 29.7 Justin Jefferson - 27.2 — DJ Moore - 18.5 Parker Washington - 16.8 — Matthew Golden - 12.5 Kalif Raymond - 12.4 — Puka Nacua - 9.9 Luther Burden - 7.0 DeVonta Smith - 6.8 — Brian Thomas Jr. - 5.5 Drake London - 4.5 Marvin Harrison Jr. - 3.8 Terry McLaurin - 2.4 Ja'Marr Chase - 2.2
Luther Burden: 5-63 on five targets (17.2% share). But only 29 routes on 40 dropbacks (72.5% route participation) despite Rome Odunze (23 routes) presumably limited by his calf injury. 72.5% route rate was higher than any game for Burden last year but not a full-time role. Did miss some time in August, will be watching next week to see how that evolves with Rome likely healthier too.
