McCarthy threw a pick of his own after entering but rebounded to lead a furious rally, putting up 17 points over the next three drives before a last-ditch effort ran out of gas/time in the red zone. He completed 11 of 21 passes for 243 yards, with one TD and one INT, plus 26 yards rushing. A switch from Winston to McCarthy doesn't seem like great news for fantasy, especially for Isaiah Likely, who doesn't have a pre-2026 track record of standout target rates; McCarthy may prove better or worse than Winston, but he'll likely have a higher percentage of dropbacks turn into sacks/scrambles, and it's also possible (though not guaranteed) that McCarthy spreads the ball around a bit more.
