Bijan Robinson

PositiveUsage3:12

Ranked RB4 for Week 9 against Cincinnati Bengals. Only scored as top-17 running back in three games this season. This month has been RB30 and RB23 in usage—'not acceptable.' Receiving volume has declined significantly with Michael Penix Jr. and Kevin Stefanski's offense prioritizing quick ball release; Penix cannot evade blitzers or buy time in screen game, limiting Robinson's receiving opportunities. Led the NFL last season with 30 designed running back targets but already has four games in 2025 with zero design targets, compared to only one such game all of last season. Brian Robinson may return, adding backfield confusion. However, Bengals' Dexter Lawrence is sensational up middle but rest of defense (linebackers, safeties) is weak, suggesting perimeter runs and receiving targets as potential solutions. Bengals have allowed nine runs of 20+ yards (second-to-last in NFL), and the source expects Robinson to finish as top-17 running back this week, recommending targeting stretch runs, tosses, and edge plays.

Insight page

Blake Corum

PositiveProjection35:17

Ranked RB22 for Week 9 but has been RB12 over the past month on RB40 usage, running hot due to strong scheme and offensive line. In a better spot than many league RB1s given Commanders' 26.5-point team projection and drive-by-drive rotation. Recently outscored Kyren Williams as Corum runs hot and Williams runs dry.

Insight page

Braelon Allen

PositiveRole37:32

More effective runner than Breece Hall to start the season; likely to handle goal-line carries and early-down work if split remains unclear. Could squeeze Hall's usage if Hall is relegated to passing downs only, making Allen the primary early-down back in the Jets backfield.

Insight page

Breece Hall

NegativeProjection37:29

Ranked 24th overall RB; returning from quad injury and trending toward playing, but faces Kansas City Chiefs on the road with Jets projected for only 18.75 points. Was not an effective runner to start the season, getting most work in the passing game, while Braelon Allen has been more effective. Uncertainty around split with Allen (estimated 50/50 to 60/40 with Hall getting higher-paid veteran start, or Hall on passing downs with Allen at goal line) creates flex-level risk rather than RB2 floor. If Hall is relegated to passing downs only, Allen could squeeze his usage significantly.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

NegativeProjection8:35

RB7 ranking with elite goal-line production shift: seven touches inside the 10-yard line all of last season versus six touchdowns already this year in that range; touchdowns worth 60 rushing yards, making this a significant efficiency gain. One goal-line attempt last week went to Irving, not Shawn Tucker, indicating primary role in short-yardage situations. However, game script risk looms in Week 9: Buccaneers expected to lose by nearly a touchdown against Chicago Bears, a sharp reversal from the last two weeks' massive leads, which could significantly reduce Irving's volume and goal-line opportunities despite his strong recent performance and the team's run-heavy offensive approach.

Insight page

Chase Brown

NegativeUsage25:25

Ranked RB16 against Atlanta Falcons. Rushed for 55 yards and caught eight passes last week, but sustainability of eight catches per week is uncertain. More critically, he is losing snaps inside the 10-yard line, which is incredibly meaningful for fantasy football. Last week he graded as RB20 and RB14 in usage; over the past month he has been much lower at RB39 and RB11 usage. Averaging 3.6 yards per carry with a 33% success rate, ranking 31st and 33rd in the league respectively—indicating inefficiency despite the Bengals being projected for 28 points (top five) and the offense being on fire.

Insight page

Chris Rodriguez

PositiveValue19:46

Rodriguez is one of the best insurance options available; he's a solid player breaking lots of tackles in an offense cooking with gas. If Bachel Tuton does not play, Rodriguez could become a must-start RB13 or even top-18 option depending on remaining roster depth, making him a priority waiver/free agent pickup before Thursday night. However, he has not practiced for three straight days on a short week and suffered an ankle injury in the first quarter of the previous game, creating injury uncertainty despite the conditional upside.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

PositiveProjection2:25

Ranked RB3 for Week 9 against Las Vegas Raiders. Refreshed off bye-week. 49ers projected for 31.25 points as 10-point favorites. Raiders just surrendered RB6 finish to Breece Hall. With team total at 31 points and McCaffrey's historical production, the source has 'good feeling' about two-touchdown upside over zero-touchdown outcomes. Receiving volume may increase if Deebo Samuel and Mike Evans remain out post-bye.

Insight page

Chuba Hubbard

PositiveUsage11:24

RB8 ranking with consistent high-volume role: 20 carries plus receptions per game this season, with Panthers targeting 16–18 touches per game. RB1 in receptions per game while also top-10 in carries per game; involved in receiving game even when losing by a little, indicating dual-threat role independent of game script.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

PositiveProjection13:47

RB13 ranking against Buccaneers with must-play designation despite elite defense; without Kyle Manungai, averaging 20 half-PPR points per game; with Manungai, drops to 13.4 (roughly one touchdown difference). Bears projected for 27 points and dictate game terms. Swift accounts for 53% of Bears' red-zone touchdowns this season (vs. 23% last year), indicating elevated scoring opportunity. Must-play every week even in difficult matchups.

Insight page

Derrick Henry

NegativeMatchup22:17

Ranked RB21 for Week 9 but faces a brutal Thursday Night Football matchup against Jacksonville's top-ranked fantasy defense. Ravens are projected for under 15 points; Jacksonville allows the lowest neutral run rate to opposing offenses. Henry has only one fourth-quarter touch in the past two weeks (out of 12 combined backfield touches), indicating he's being scripted out and only playing three quarters. Justice Hill's return further limits his role. Henry's 87 yards before contact ranks 33rd in the league, requiring touchdown scoring to be viable. The source projects Henry to lose 10 points and may move him down further.

Insight page

Emmett Johnson

PositiveRole2:15

Expected to benefit from positive game flow in Week 9 against New York Jets. Jets missing key interior defenders (DeVandre Sweat, David Bailey) and projected for 28-29 points, creating opportunity for backfield touches.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

NegativeRole22:45

Played only one second half snap in the previous game; well behind Jonah Coleman in the depth chart and unlikely to be the lead back despite theoretical possibility. Has never been in the mix for pass-catching opportunities, further limiting his fantasy upside.

Insight page

James Cook

PositiveProjection7:31

Ranked RB6 by the source but consensus has him at RB9; graded A-tier despite difficult Minnesota matchup. Bills are projected for 24.5 points and now have DJ Moore back, making them a very difficult offense to stop. Minnesota allows the second-lowest neutral pass rate (45%), forcing teams to run; the source expects the Bills to run heavy with tight end usage up the middle. Cook averages 101 rushing yards per game and is not catching passes (RB4 on RB9 usage), so he'll need to break off long runs, which is feasible given Buffalo's offensive talent.

Insight page

Javonte Williams

NegativeProjection5:45

Ranked RB5 and graded A-tier. Fantasy production is highly matchup-dependent and driven by red zone touchdown scoring rather than explosive plays or pass-game involvement. Since joining the Cowboys, when Dallas scores 30+ points, Williams averages 16.5 PPR; in the 20s (Cowboys' current 28.5-point projection), he averages 15.1 PPR; in the teens, he drops to 9.4 PPR. This week against the Colts, who have lost DeForest Buckner and are vulnerable, the Cowboys should be able to establish the run game.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

PositiveProjection22:38

Ranked RB15 against Carolina Panthers; anticipated to be the team's lead running back. Had goal line role on three different drives in the previous game, including one going into halftime, and will catch more passes than JK Dobbins. Panthers defense has been unable to stop running backs on the ground and recently changed defensive coordinators, creating favorable matchup conditions.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

NegativeProjection15:37

RB11 ranking with significant role uncertainty due to trade talks and Seth McGawan increased usage; Colts offense severely weakened without Quinton Nelson. However, Cowboys allow third-most fantasy points to running backs (Tyler Algier finished RB1 overall, Saquon Barkley and Bucky Irving had strong performances). Colts projected for 23 points. Treated as boom-bust low-end RB1 due to schedule advantage, with the source knocking him down 7-8 spots from where he would rank in a tighter game (would be RB2-3 in week two), but believes being ahead of market on Taylor this week is the right play after being below market last week.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

PositiveProjection12:34

RB9 ranking with strong role upside against New England Patriots; Packers shifted from 46% neutral pass rate (2024) to 56% (2025), swapping five carries for three receptions per game, which improves fantasy value despite offensive line concerns and inconsistent film. Trailing only Jir Gibbs on per-game expected points basis, making him a 'too big to fail' asset despite Patriots defense strength against running backs. Packers are three-point road underdogs in this matchup.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

NegativeProjection18:00

Kyren Williams is tied with Jonathan Taylor in fantasy points per game this season and is averaging 14.5 carries and 3 receptions per game, but has slowed over the last month (RB16-17 usage). The source views him as a low-end RB1 only in the best matchups when the Rams offense is firing; currently the Rams are mediocre with Matthew Stafford showing slight differences. In a 50-50 split with Blake Corum when the Commanders are ahead on the scoreboard (team is 5.5-point favorite), Williams plays the two-minute drill and receives more passes when losing. Recently running dry compared to Corum's hot streak, but the source expects this split to eventually reverse.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

NegativeInjury16:18

Barkley is dealing with a hamstring injury and lacks a true backup, but looked good in the week prior. His Week 9 ranking against the Giants is more dependent on his health status than the Joe Milton QB change; the source expects the Giants to run the ball with Barkley despite Milton's different passing profile (more vertical, less quick-twitch than Tanner McKee). The Giants have a solid defense with Azeez Ojulari and good edge rushers, plus a scheme that prevents carries, though the Giants' slow-paced, run-first offense may limit overall play volume. The source questions whether Joe Milton starting materially helps Barkley, noting Milton won't add rushing upside.

Insight page

Seth McGowan

PositiveUsage16:10

McGawan is playing more snaps for the Colts; played 71% of snaps the week prior versus historical 85% for Jonathan Taylor, indicating the team is intentionally increasing his involvement, likely due to future roster planning.

Insight page

Woody Marks

NegativeRole27:18

With David Montgomery ruled out, Woody Marks gets another week of full workload. In three games without Montgomery, Marks is RB29 in ranking but RB7 in usage, with 16 ground touches and three targets per game. However, he has finished below expected points in five of seven games; the Texans' offensive line is terrible and Marks is replaceable. The Chargers allow the 10th most fantasy points to running backs and the Texans are four-and-a-half-point favorites, which should help gamescript, but the combination of poor line play and Marks' replaceability limits upside despite the volume opportunity.

0:00Welcome to your week nine running back rankings where we also have three quarterback changes across the NFL. What a crazy day for that. As always, this
0:07week's game plan is brought to you by Farmers Insurance, but Hayden, we might talk about some of those quarterbacks when we come through these running backs
0:13because some of them probably have an impact not just on the game flow and the game projections, but maybe some running
0:18back success that's tied to them, too.
0:19>> And I'm also worried that we're going to get, you know, traded running backs by the time this episode is is done and
0:24posted as well. So, yeah, lots of lots of chaos coming through in November.
0:28Although I'll say to Cubra set, look, we did that in in July. You know, you're late to be traded. You know, we we've
0:34already accomplished this for for this group. Okay, >> here we go. Jir Gibbs is your running back one. This is at the Miami Dolphins.
0:40There is no one else to start off with as we've talked about. He is on pace to almost break McCaffry's record setting
0:48season. And Hayden, this is against the Miami Dolphins who are allowing 146 yards from scrimmage per game to running backs. And they face 30 backfield
0:57touches per contest right now, too.
0:59>> Yeah. I mean, he was the RB5 against the Vikings, and now we get the Dolphins.
1:03Like, this one's as simple as it gets.
1:06>> It really is. And if you want to double up on this one, the Dolphins are very susceptible to receiving running backs.
1:13So, I think we'll get him in the flow there. And, uh, you know, the role player of the week, Sunni Vikai, might
1:17have >> some nice moments here, too.
1:20>> Ken Walker III is your running back, too. Also in the S tier. If you're new around here, hit subscribe. we tear out
1:25these running backs as well. This is against the New York Jets. Um, I mean, we need this second half to continue
1:33just like the first half has for Ken Walker the third. Hayden, I think that can continue because he's only converted two of his 19 goal to go runs for
1:42touchdowns so far this season.
1:43Obviously, he's insane with long breaking runs on top of it. But if we just, you know, score some of the easier
1:49ones, then again, this top top season can repeat itself in the final eight weeks, too.
1:55>> Yeah. I think the last two weeks, both, you know, really quiet games for Kenneth Walker. Those were against the Broncos,
2:00who are now fully healthy and a team that we should not be messing around with. And then the Seattle Seahawks, which we haven't been able to run on for
2:06for three years. This one, the Jets don't have Devandre Sweat, who's been a star defensive tackle right up the middle middle. Uh, also David Bailey has
2:14been missing some time. We'll see if he's going to go here. So, I think it's like a huge huge huge swing in terms of
2:19like schedule this week versus in previous weeks they're projected for 28 points. That's not surprising.
2:24>> Yeah, nearly 29 points now. 10 point favorites. Yeah.
2:27>> And hey, I don't think that 29 team total uh has a lot to do with the wide receivers.
2:32>> Defin not not based off the film I've been watching.
2:36>> So, probably some Ken Walk the third and EMTT Johnson goodness we're going to get here.
2:39>> Chris McAffrey is your running back three. This is against the Las Vegas Raiders. We get a a refreshed CMC off a
2:47by-week. That's pretty good. Uh with a team total at 31 and a quarter points.
2:52>> Yeah, I hate to keep these ones so short up the top, but when your team is projected for 30 points and you have the
2:56history of Christian McCaffrey, like I've got a good feeling about this one.
3:00Uh you know, the Raiders just surrendered an RB6 finish to Brillin Allen. Like the team total is at 31 points, 10-point favorites as well.
3:08We'll see if Mike Evans and Debo Samuel are going to return after the buy as well. We'll learn that later in the
3:12week. I'm not sure if that even really matters that much. CMC was getting a couple more extra receptions when those guys were out, but you know, when you're
3:20projected for 31, he's more likely to score two touchdowns in zero. Okay, Bejian Robinson is your running back four. This is against the Cincinnati
3:28Bengals. I was digging a little bit this morning, Hayden, and going through the weekly scorers here for Bejon. Do we mention enough at least in stats versus
3:36film on the recap shows that Bejian has only scored as a top 17 running back this season in three games?
3:43>> Yes, but those were massive games. Um, and that was, you know, I think going to be the quietest stretch of Bejon's
3:50entire season here. Um, so this month he's been the RB30 and RB23 RB23 usage.
3:57That's just like not acceptable. Well, we talked about this on Sass versus film that part of the reason is because Bejon
4:02isn't catching nearly as many passes with Michael Penn and Kevin Sansy's offense is like wanting to get the ball out as quickly as he can and Michael
4:10Penn can't evade any blitzers or buy time in the screen game and that's kind of been, you know, working against Dejon
4:17Robinson in fantasy. Uh Brian Robinson might be returning for this one as well to kind of add to the confusion. Uh
4:23Dexter Lawrence has been sensational up the middle, but we're seeing what what they're doing with like Tony Per for example last week where they just don't
4:30run at Dexter Lawrence. And then guess what? The rest of the defense in Cincinnati is really bad, particularly the linebackers and safeties. How do you
4:37beat that perimeter runs with the Falcons run? You can also throw the ball to Bejian Robinson. And there's my challenge to Stfansky and Pennix. Figure
4:43it out.
4:45>> You know, Jacob Gibbs has pointed this out that Bejan Robinson led the NFL last season with 30 designed running back
4:52targets. So again, he was the primary read in those. He only had one game all year last season with zero design
4:58targets. He already has four of those games in 2026.
5:02>> Wow.
5:02>> And I mean, go back to week one, Hayden.
5:04The these are in the playbook when Cooper Rush was starting against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Their only offense was to get Bejian Robinson going in the
5:12screen game. And that's where he broke off some long and explosive plays. But obviously with Michael Penn, it's kind of just not in in the playbook. Now,
5:20again, me leading with that, at least to me, eyepopping stat that again, only three games this season as a top 17
5:26running back, I expect him to do it this week because the Bengals have actually allowed nine runs of 20 plus yards.
5:33That's second to last in the NFL. So, I agree with you. Get those like stretch runs, those tosses, anything on the
5:40edge. Uh, Bejian has a chance of taking it a long long distance here.
5:44>> Javvante Williams is your running back five. Is this S tier or A tier? Uh, we'll go a tier for for Javvante
5:50Williams. He's been very inefficient. I can believe the Cowboys offense in the second half when they just had to pick up a couple extra first downs and they
5:57would have won and they could not do that with Javvante Williams. Uh, I've noticed some some Javvante Williams splits because his role is entirely
6:05based on scoring red zone touchdowns because he doesn't rip off explosives.
6:09He's somewhat involved in the pass game, but nothing too crazy. So, uh, since joining the Cowboys last year through this year, uh, when the Cowboys have
6:16scored 30 points, he averages 16.5 PPR points. When they are in the 20s, which right now they're projected for 28 and a
6:23half points, he averages 15.1 half PPR points. And then when they finish in the teens, that drops to 9.4. So, there's a
6:30very clear like latter performance with Javvante Williams. That's true for every running back, but I think in particular for him, he's more matchup sensitive.
6:37Uh, just because he has to get the goal line touchdown, guess what? the Colts defense has completely given up. They lost to Force Buckner up the middle on
6:44top of things. Like this is a week where we should be leaving in the Cowboys offense. Um and really there's no reason
6:49why they've been so bad uh the last month running the ball.
6:52>> Yeah, I don't think Javante is explosive as Bashel Tutin last week, but what Bachel Tutin did so well and what the
6:59Jaguars did so well was finally give him the line of scrimmage and kind of gave him the second level. So I mean that's
7:04the Colts defense without DeForest Buckner and all that. So yeah, I mean Javvante's 2.3 yards per carry last week could, I think, jump to 5.3 yards per
7:11carry this week against the Colts. Let's hope.
7:14>> All right, this is your stand your ground pick presented by DraftKings Sports. Every game day means more with DraftKings Sports. The crown is yours.
7:21And that brings us to your running back six at the Minnesota Vikings. Maybe that's why Consensus has James Cook as running back nine, but again, you have
7:31him in the six spot. Is this S tier or A tier? Uh, I like a tier for this one.
7:37The matchup is certainly difficult, which is why he's lower in consensus, but the Bills are still projected for 24 and a half points. Now that they have DJ
7:44Moore back in the lineup, I think it's a very difficult offense to stop. What have teams been doing against Minnesota?
7:50They've been trying to run the ball against them. Opposing offenses 45% neutral pass rate. That's the second lowest on the season. If you guys watch
7:59that Lions game, they really tried to run the ball up the middle. We talked about heavy tight end usage in Detroit.
8:05I think that's what the Bills are going to do here. Kind of wadded up, run right at them. And James Cook has been
8:10sensational on the ground once again, averaging 101 rushing yards per game.
8:14He's not catching passes. That's why he's the RB4 on RB9 usage this year. Uh he's going to need to break off a long
8:21run or two, but I do think you can do that when you have as much talent as the Buffalo Bills. So, um, I always respect
8:29great defenses, but great offenses t tend to, you know, figure things out even against the elite ones, and right now that's Buffalo.
8:35>> Okay, I have nothing to add. Nothing to add on that note. So, we take us to your running back seven. This is Bucky Irving
8:44at the Chicago Bears. A couple notes here. Bucky Irving has seven touches from inside the 10 yard line all of last
8:52season. This year he's already scored six touchdowns in that range.
8:57>> Yep.
8:58>> That's pretty good. That's a pretty big change. And I always want to remind people that touchdowns are worth 60 rushing yards. So, uh, yeah, it's pretty
9:06important here.
9:07>> Yeah, he was the only running back. They had one goal line attempt last week. You would think that they would have had a
9:12million of them uh because of, you know, they didn't complete a pass and won the game, but that did go to Bucky Irving,
9:17not as much Shawn Tucker this last time around here. The team total is only at uh 21 points here. Uh they get the
9:25Chicago Bears, they just added Jeffrey Simmons, who was a total monster up front there, and they were already like pretty feisty on defense. Like I don't
9:32know how they were able to figure that out with Dennis Allen, but they really have this year. Kyler Gordon being in
9:35the mix that I think certainly helps the run game as well as a nickel who like really kind of crowds the line of
9:40scrimmage on top of that. We're going to just find out like when the Buccaneers play a normal game, like what does the
9:46split look like? It's not going to be quite as drastic as it was the last two weeks. you know, they're not going to
9:50only complete seven passes over a two week span again. But I do think they are going to be one of the lowest neutral
9:57pass rate teams in the league because the offensive line's playing that well and they just don't trust Baker Mayfield. We'll see if Mecha Gabuka
10:04plays as well. Like those are like the little things that going to matter. Game script's not ideal though. They're expected to lose by nearly touchdown
10:09here. So that's where this thing gets a little bit risky. Uh but he's been playing so well. I just kind of want to
10:13stick with it.
10:14>> Yeah, that's what I was going to bring up that they've had massive leads over the last few weeks. I mean, I would even
10:19say seven points was a massive lead for the Atlanta Falcons based on how that offense was playing. Uh, and then the
10:25week before, like again, it was 80 rushing yards in the first drive.
10:28>> Yeah.
10:28>> So, yeah, I mean, they're six and a half point underdogs here. So, yeah, that game state might be totally flipped
10:33versus what it's been over the last two weeks.
10:36>> Let's talk about Chuba Hubber. Oh, I did want to have one more conversation here on what Todd B said about this
10:42backfield. A reporter asked him about Kenny Gainwell and he said, "Yeah, there is. I think we finally got to where we're utilizing Kenny more and more and
10:49that's kind of 1A 1B we were talking about when we first signed him. Um I don't really care. I don't really buy
10:56it. Like Todd BS didn't know what the seasons were earlier on this this season. So uh >> very I I don't really trust him with
11:04anything referring to Bucky Irving.
11:05>> Well, I'll also say this. Uh I posted like running back rotation charts. It's kind of like a timeline throughout the
11:10game and for the first three quarters it was overwhelmingly Bucky Irving and then the last quarter Kenny Gainwell gets involved. So like I'm sure Todd BS loves
11:17when Kenny Gainwell gets his 18th carry in the fourth quarter, but guess what?
11:21You have to be winning by multiple scores to do that.
11:24>> Yeah. Okay. Chuba Hubard is the running back eight. Panthers always want to get him 16 18 touches. And you know this
11:34spread would suggest that this game is going to be close. And maybe that's due to the Broncos lack thereof of an
11:39offense, but it's just a two and a half point spread, albeit the Panthers only projected for 21. So, uh, Chuba Hubard's
11:44going to get his opportunities.
11:45>> Yeah, I got 20 uh carries plus receptions per game this season for Chuba Hubard, you know, and they want that to even be higher there. We'll see
11:53if Jonathan Brooks is ever going to return to the field, but until that uh happens, like we know exactly what we're
11:59getting. He's going to get the rock when they're losing, when they're winning, it doesn't really matter. In fact, when they're losing by a little bit, like
12:04he's very involved in the uh receiving game as well. He's RB1 in receptions per game on top of being top 10 in carries
12:11per game. You know, he's been a very good player. I like it when like Damen Lewis is out there. Um so, you know,
12:16that's like the last thing to kind of figure out. This Broncos defense is very, very good. I know they have linebacker issues and like that's where
12:24running backs have had some success, but like Zack Allen with their defensive line all healthy. Patrick Certan, like I'm not too surprised that the Panthers
12:32are 24th in team total this week.
12:34>> Okay, Josh Jacobs is your running back nine. This is against the New England Patriots and the Packers are three-point underdogs in this game on the road.
12:44Anything else you want to add?
12:46Yeah, from 2024 to 2025, neutral pass r is at 46%. This year it's at 56% for the Packers. That's included the games where
12:55Josh Jacobs has been there. They're still more pass heavy than they ever have before. And I think more or less we
13:01just kind of swapped out like five carries for three receptions for Josh Jacobs. And that arguably just makes them a better fantasy asset. The success
13:09is not going to be there. The offensive line is bad. I haven't like noticed that Josh Jacobs like looks that fantastic
13:15either, but the role is just like so hard to ignore over the last month of the season. Josh Jacobs only trailing
13:21Jir Gibbs on a per game basis in expected points. So, you know, it's like we're reaching kind of too big to fail.
13:26Now, I will say they're not catching the Panthers uh this week. The Patriots defense has been very good against running backs the last couple years.
13:33DeAndre Swift was the RB13. Brilland Allen is the RB19 in this like very clear like bellcow kind of role. So, you
13:39know, he's more of like an RB2 to me.
13:41I'm just like struggling to find like the mid-range RB1's right now.
13:47>> Well, let's talk DeAndre Swift. This is against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense. We got a comment on sats versus film. I always appreciate everyone
13:54leaving comments and watching and all that type of stuff, >> saying that we didn't talk about Swift enough. What is there to say, you know?
14:00I mean, Deandra Swift was a pick that we loved in the preseason and he's a baller in season and it can be in difficult
14:07matchups and he's still balling out outside of the one game that he basically got benched and Kongai got what 26 touches. Who knows if Manungai
14:15is going to return this week. Even if he does, DeAndre Swift uh is going to be the 1A in this back field and he's a
14:21must play every single week even against this Bucks defense.
14:24>> I got with without Manungai, DeAndre Swift is averaging 20 half PPR points per game with him since last year.
14:30That's at 13.4. That gap makes sense to me. Like you're pretty much adding another touchdown because you know Kyle Manungai mixes in there. This is
14:36expecting Manungai to return. Like eventually he's got to come back to the field here. Like he wasn't placed on injured reserve and we're already like
14:43getting pretty close to that kind of four game window there. So yeah, I feel great about DeAndre Swift because the Bears are projected for 27 points even
14:51when Kyle Manungi is back there. The Buccaneers defense has been completely lights out. Second best against fantasy running backs. Bejian Robinson is the
14:59RB28, Jaylen Warren's RB23, Javvante Williams RB19 against the Bucks this month and those guys been, you know, top 10 running backs uh for a lot of the
15:07season as well. So, the big difference though is the Chicago Bears, they dictate the terms here. We just saw that with correct the Seahawks.
15:16>> Yes. Okay. Other thing I want to add, Jacob Gibbs had a good stat that the percentage of Chicago Bears touchdowns
15:22from inside the 10 yard line that have been accounted for by DeAndre Swift.
15:26Last season that was only 23%. This year it's 53%. So that might go down a little bit, but uh that's a lot of 60 yard runs
15:35that equal touchdown.
15:36>> Mhm.
15:37>> Okay. Jonathan Taylor is your running back 11. Um, I kind of want to link this to your 12th overall player too in
15:44Kairen Williams because I think it's too damn low for Kairen in comparison to John Taylor who has one foot out the
15:51door here in Indianapolis.
15:53>> I would just say that there's a pretty big difference facing Jacksonville versus facing the Cowboys. Uh, I'm going to rely on what they're going to say
16:00about Jonathan Taylor's role leading into this game just because we we are in trade talks. Shane Psych was asked about this and he's like Jonathan Taylor's on
16:07our team like you know we're going to be mixing him in like as much as we can.
16:10Now Seth McGawan is playing a little bit more. This Colts offense is really really really terrible without Quinton Nelson. It's an uphill battle like
16:18absolutely at the same time. I mean the Dallas Cowboys allowed the third most fantasy points to running backs. Tyler Algier Tyler Algier behind an awful
16:27Cardinals offensive line just finished as the RB1 overall. Saquon Barkley without a back and a hamstring. He looked really good the week prior. Bucky
16:35Irving had 175 yards in week five against them. So like at some point you're just like, okay, he's not going to have his usual role. It's still
16:43Jonathan Taylor that we're talking about here. The Colts are also projected for 23 points. So unless you want to rank Josh Downs or Keenan Allen really high,
16:51like somebody's got to be ranked fairly aggressive. So I'm just like taking last week like minimizing it because of the the schedule difference here and
16:59treating him as like a boom bus like low-end RB1.
17:02>> Yeah. I will add though the week before when the game was tighter, he still played 71% of the snaps versus, you
17:08know, the 85 and all that. So I I do think like they are trying to get Seth McGawan a little bit more involved
17:14because of the future um versus, you know, the 85% stuff Jonathan Taylor we have we've had in the past. I also want
17:19to bring up that Tom Pelis reported that the Colts already turned down a second round pick for Jonathan Taylor. Uh so it
17:25has to be more than that, you know. Yep.
17:27And I'm kind of assuming that the Colts understand that he is their biggest asset and he's the one that they want to
17:33maximize the most value of versus these other early deals that they've already had.
17:37>> Yeah. If this game was happening in week two of this season, like Jonathan Taylor would easily be like the second or third
17:43running back on on this list. So like, you know, knocking him down like seven, eight spots, I think, is about right.
17:48And I'm good being ahead of market on John Taylor this week. I think I was below market last week. I think that's
17:53going to end up being the way to play it.
17:55>> Okay. Next is Kairen Williams. This is at the Washington Commanders. The Rams have a team total of 26 and a half. And
18:03Kairen Williams is tied with Jonathan Taylor in fantasy points per game this season.
18:07>> Yeah, this last month has been a little bit slower for Kairen. He's the RB 17 on RB 16 usage. Still averaging 14 and a
18:12half carries, three receptions per game.
18:14Not catching as many passes uh recently.
18:16I wonder if that's a little bit tied to like the three tight end sets and they're just not using him that way
18:20where earlier on when they were chasing points. He was like in the slot just catching a bunch of angle routes and
18:25stuff. We haven't seen that quite as much. The Commanders defense is one that throws a little bit of extra pressure to
18:30you maybe stays in the block and like these are like the little differences.
18:33Kairen Williams is still like kind of where he's been for the last season and a half, which is to me a low-end RB1 in
18:39the best of matchups when the Rams are absolutely on fire. He's a top five running back. I don't think the Rams are
18:44quite as good on offense right now. I'm noticing slight differences in Matthew Stafford right now and the rest of the team is like kind of mediocre. You know,
18:53this still a positive game strip for Kyro Williams. So, not going to say anything too negative.
18:57>> Yep. Okay, let's talk B facial to because this is a big conversation that probably doesn't have its end point until we get inactives
19:07>> ahead of Thursday Night Football.
19:08>> This is at the Baltimore Ravens. Uh Bachel Tuton did not practice on Monday, Tuesday, and I don't think he practiced
19:15here on Wednesday. At least he wasn't there for open portion of media work.
19:20And Liam Cohen has said he's questionable. So I'm assuming he's kind of like a game time call. I'm assuming he doesn't have to practice at all in
19:26order to play. Yeah.
19:27>> But uh we would love Beijel Tutin in this spot. Um it's just uncertain if we're getting Basel Tutin in this spot.
19:33>> Yeah. If I knew like if he was a full participant the entire week, he would be, you know, knocking on the door as
19:39like an RB 67 in this matchup because, you know, they're expected to win by 10 points. Uh, you know, he didn't practice
19:46the entire week officially questionable.
19:47Uh, Chris Rodriguez I I think is just one of the best insurance options out there. Like whether Toutin plays or not,
19:53like he's a totally fine player. Like there's nothing that Chris Rodriguez is doing wrong. He's breaking a lot of tackles. This offense is absolutely
20:00cooking with gas. And like there's a chance that Chris Rodriguez gets some extra work in this one to the point where he might even be a flex play in
20:07some leagues uh because the game script should be so wonky in this one. But yeah, I I'll rely on the news on
20:14Thursday night.
20:16>> Uh theoretical out there. If Bachel Tutin does not play, does Chris Rodriguez just become your running back 13 based on who is left on this list?
20:25>> There's there's kind of a teardrop coming up ahead. He would be in the top 18 for sure. Top 18 for sure.
20:33>> So a must start basically.
20:35>> Yes.
20:35>> Um if Yeah. So go out there right now and see if Chris Rodriguez is available because again a dude not practicing for
20:41three straight days on a short week. I know he finished the game, but again there were some eagleeyed fantasy physios out there that noticed a little
20:49ankle injury in that first quarter.
20:51>> Okay. Raandre Stevenson. Can I place him in the B tier? Uh this against the Green Bay Packers. He's your runway at 14 or
20:58do you want to continue on here?
21:00>> Uh, he should go in the B tier. And I will say Javvante Williams probably should be in the A tier, too. Uh, just
21:07it doesn't look right up there.
21:09>> Got it. Got it. Got it. Got it. Okay.
21:11I'll uh I'll figure that out as we go along. So, give your spiel about Raandre Stevenson.
21:15>> So, Trayvon Henderson was ruled out early last week with an illness and then on Wednesday's practice, still not practicing with an illness. Like, that's
21:23fairly bizarre. I'd love to see what like what's going on with Trayvon. I hope he's he's all right there. But that
21:28really matters for Arandre Stevenson.
21:30Dating back to last year, there's been seven games where Henderson had either five or fewer carries or missed the game outright. Stevenson was the RB13 and
21:38RB16 usage uh in those seven games. So, that's kind of like what I'm expecting here. And then when Trayvon's in the
21:45lineup and like actually in the mix, Raandre drops to RB 25 on RB 39 usage, which is a huge difference here. So,
21:52like I'm just waiting for more information. The Packers defense is a good one. I like how well coached they are. By the way, the Packers defense
21:59against the top uh end offenses in the league have been dominant against them specifically. Uh that said, you kind of want to run the ball against them. They
22:09got linebacker issues. Uh Micah Parson still isn't uh out there quite yet. Um so I think Reandre Stevens is pretty insulated. And then we also have is AJ
22:17Brown gonna play? Is Hunter Henry gonna play? It's like this is absolutely just like, you know, in pencil.
22:22>> Yeah. Uh, I think Mike Vrabel in his press conference today on Wednesday was asked how serious is the illness for
22:31Trevon Henderson and he said it's serious enough that he's not going to practice today. So, thanks for the details, Mike. Appreciate it.
22:38>> Yeah, Jonah Coleman is your running back 15. This is at the Carolina Panthers.
22:45Uh, JK Dobbins played one second half snap. So again, unless Shawn Peyton does a real Shawn Payeyton thing, we're anticipating that Jonah Coleman uh is
22:55going to be the team's lead running back.
22:57>> Yeah, I can still see JK Dobbins like in theory starting. But I would be pretty surprised if Jonah Coleman does not
23:02finish the game with more touches and more highv value touches uh at that because he had the goal line role on
23:08three different drives this last game, including the one going into halftime.
23:14Um, and then he's also going to catch more passes because JK Dobbins has like never been in the mix over there. So,
23:18he's well ahead of JK Dobbins. And we'll see if they're going to make a move for one of these running backs. I would not
23:23be surprised if the Broncos are one of those teams offering a a second round pick because I know it's going to be a
23:28pretty late second round pick for for one of these top running backs. But, in the in the meantime, they're projected for 23 points. Uh, the Panthers haven't
23:35been able to stop anybody on the ground changing coordinators for guys that you don't even want to bring up their stats
23:39as defensive coordinators before. Um, and then most recently, Bucky Irving RB2, Josh Jacobs RB10 against the Panthers. This episode is brought to you
23:49by Farmers Insurance. Questioning your lineup? Sure. Question your insurance?
23:54Then check out Farmers. Farmers coverage on a page breaks things down so you know what you are and aren't covered for
24:03insurance that's truly on your team.
24:05Visit farmers.com today. Chase Brown all the way down at running back 16. but it is warranted. Now, this is against the
24:12Atlanta Falcons.
24:14I will add that Chase Brown rushed for what, 55 yards last week. He did catch eight passes. I'm not sure how sustained
24:21that eight catches per week can be, but as you outlined, he's losing snaps inside the 10 yard line. And that is
24:28incredibly meaningful and impactful for us for fantasy football.
24:31>> It is. He's still like has a chance for goal line touchdowns, but it's just, you know, a little bit lower than it has
24:37been previously. I think part of the reason is because T. Higgins and Jamar Chase I think are more likely to score
24:41long touchdowns than they ever have before. Like this offense is absolutely on fire. Um last week he was the RB20 and RB14 usage. He's been a lot lower
24:49than that this past month. He's the RB 39 and RB11 usage this month. Like that is that's incredible to be that
24:56inefficient in an offense this good.
24:58Like that's very difficult to do. What I'm struggling with though is the Bengals are still projected for almost 28 points. That's top five. And the
25:05Falcons have been getting really really gashed by running backs most recently.
25:10Se most points across the season, but Bucky Irving and Kenny Gainwell last week. Uh and they've allowed a top 10 finish in four straight outings. Samson
25:19Ebom, he just went to injured reserve.
25:21That's an edge rusher for them. They've been missing a linebacker for the last James Pierce back.
25:26>> Yeah, but that's kind of a good thing for for running backs. You know, he's not very good against the run. Um, and
25:31we'll see how much he's going to play, but Samson Ebom's like more of an ass kicker and, you know, I think him being
25:35out I think impacts things.
25:38>> Yeah, Chase Brown averaging what, 3.6 yards per carry, a 33% success rate?
25:44That's a 31st and 33rd across the league so far. But yeah, it it's one of those, hey, is your rushing game as bad as the
25:53run defense? Which one's worse? And the other side wins. Okay, Ali Gordon is your running back 17. He has running back 22 in consensus rankings. He has
26:04weeks of running back 13, 12, 14, and 14 as a score and even two tough matchups and then two lighter ones among those
26:12four. Plus, Hayden, he gets Kaden Proctor back here. So, I like that you're five spots ahead of consensus.
26:17>> Yeah, the offensive line's pretty feisty. I think Malik Willis has been playing better ball recently. Um, they had the by-week to kind of tighten some
26:25things up as well. So yeah, I feel very good about where Aldi Gordon looks right now. He's uh the RB 16 on RB12 usage
26:31over his last four contests here. He's averaging 18 carries per game, 90 rushing yards. Uh he's had nine carries inside the five yard line over that
26:39month span as well. So he's getting the high value touches minus the receiving work. He does have the profile of something that can kind of get game
26:46scripted out and they're facing the Lions. The Lions are expected to win by seven points here. Like that's the concern. Um, speaking of concern, we at
26:54least we got some positive news that Jack Campbell has feeling in his lower extremities. Like that was like awesome to see, but obviously without him, the
27:03Lions defense does take a step back. So, yeah, he's been producing as an RB2. I don't see any reason to not rank him
27:10like right down the middle.
27:12>> Yeah, we're always updating injuries as we're going through this live show because they are, you know, posted live as we're doing this. Um, no practice for
27:21Christian McCaffrey or Mike Evans, but Hayden, I think that is your veteran Wednesday typical stuff. So, I would not read into that.
27:28>> Well, I don't like seeing, you know, parenthesis hamstring next to Christian McAffy's name ever. But yeah, >> Woody Marx is your running back 18 and
27:38five minutes ago, excuse me, I guess he's Btier because five minutes ago Dave Montgomery was ruled out for this contest. So, we get another week of full
27:47Woody Marks action.
27:49>> In three games without uh David Montgomery, Woody Marks is the RB 29 and RB7 usage. He's touched the ball 16
27:56times on the ground, three targets uh in the air as well. Like, you know, there really is no reason why he shouldn't
28:02finish as a running back, too, except that the offensive line's so terrible and Woody Marks is, you know, pretty replaceable himself. He's finished below
28:10his expected points in five of the seven games. David Montgomery that's pretty much like finishing below all but one as well. That's just it's a Texans stat.
28:18The good news is the Chargers run game is also pretty bad as well. 10th most fancy points allowed to running backs.
28:24Gamecript should be on his side. They're four and a half point favorites here.
28:28And without Derwin James like that Chargers defense like just does not have enough like good players. Like even like Deion Hemley I've seen Hemley exposed
28:37like a lot this year. So, >> yeah, I have to decide between Woody Marks and Bree Hall with Bruce Hall coming back. So, you're clearly leaning
28:46in one direction and we'll talk about Bree and the Jets backfield here >> in a little bit. Uh, next up is Saquon
28:51Barkley. This is against the New York Giants. What this is the first team we're talking about here with the quarterback change. I mean, Hayden, does
28:58Joe Milton starting help Saquon Barkley?
29:02I don't know. I mean, are we sure Joe Milton or Tanner McKe is even better?
29:07Like to me that's kind of a tossup. Joe Milton is not going to be running around a little like that much either. I think
29:14they're going to try to run the ball with Saquon Barkley. And to me this ranking is like more dependent on how is
29:18Saquon Barkley feeling than the quarterback change which I'm sure is probably somewhat, you know, there's not that big of a drop off or a gain added
29:25here. Uh revenge game. Giants defense is pretty solid because uh well one they have Arll Reese and they got good edge
29:33rushers as well. They also have a scheme that wants to prevent um carries, but uh the Giants offense is also slow paced
29:39and run first as well. So like this one of these games where like there might not that might not be that much play
29:44volume as well. So there's like obvious reasons to keep Saquon Barkley ranked a little bit lower, but the second he starts playing more like he's going to
29:51start shooting up ranks good. I think he's looked pretty good.
29:55Yeah, the Joe Milton passing game is very different than the Tanner McKe one where it was elongated throwing motion and no quick
30:05twitch and a lot of the shorter stuff and now Joe Milton is like I think it's just going to be hey we're going to run
30:13and gun you know.
30:14>> Yes, >> we're going to run the ball and then we're going to try to hit these shots vertically.
30:18>> Yes, definitely.
30:20>> It's a big change. Big change.
30:23Next up is Cam Scataboo.
30:26Cam Scataboo is not practicing for the second straight day with a hamstring injury. Um Jordan Ronan noted that the
30:36Giants attempted to claim Robert Henry, but he went to I think the Washington Commanders off Seattle's practice squad.
30:44Um, they do have other two practice squad running backs that they could call up, but uh, I think this is one to
30:49monitor as well, or it can just be a rest day on Wednesday, too.
30:53>> Who knows? I just know that Deon Singleary should be on rosters at this point. No Tyrone Tracy, no Naji Harris.
30:58They have their third running back on the roster right now. I've never seen his name in my entire life. I'm on Hours
31:04right now. I've never seen this player's name in my entire life. So, it's just going to be single against Scataboo out
31:08there. I think a Scataboo is healthy. I think his role is underrated for the time being. I know that they're in the
31:12mix to be adding a a running back, whether that's a depth piece or a starter over Cam Scataboo. He in the six
31:20non-benching games, he's averaging 11.2 on 11.4 expected half QPR points. Like that is a pretty nice flex play in a week with some by-weeks and some
31:29quarterback uncertainty across the league. Like I get it as a top 20 play for him. Uh assuming we get in like a
31:35full practice by the end of the week.
31:37Yeah, that game total has dropped by six points in the last couple days. Well, >> it's JJ McCarthy versus Joe Milton.
31:44Like, this is not what I mean supposed to be.
31:46>> 44 and a half down to 38 and a half.
31:49That is easily the lowest of the weekend. 38 and a half points. I get it.
31:53Wow.
31:54>> Uh I also saw one of their practice squad running backs. I if you had asked me where Zack Evans was, I would have
32:00not told you he is still on the New York Giants. But somehow someway, he's still cashing checks in that practice squad.
32:05That's amazing. Good for him. Derrick Henry is your running back 21.
32:11Unfortunately for him on Thursday Night Football against this Jaguars defense.
32:16He's getting Joe Fenano as his quarterback. But moving forward, it is Jacob Brassette. So, this matchup sucks, but maybe greener grass and bluer skies
32:26are ahead.
32:28>> Yeah, this was the most obvious trade I've ever seen. Uh, so I didn't even retweet that I I I got it right because
32:34I was like everyone got this one right.
32:36Um, it does make a big deal though bec not for this week. He's not going to play. This will be after they have like
32:41the a mini by week coming afterwards.
32:44But that's going to be three or four games in a row where you have Jacobe Versett uh trying to win some games to
32:48get Lamar Jackson back. Tyler Huntley's not going to be coming back for for a long time. So like really >> is done for the year.
32:55>> Yeah, I think Huntley is going to be done for the year and Lamar's probably coming back. I think they have a week 13
32:58buy. Probably week 14 is kind of what they're aiming for. Like hopefully they can kind of get there. Um so yeah, like
33:04Brassette's going to be very important at work here for a team that's trying to make the playoffs. Uh for this week
33:08though, they're projected for under 15 points.
33:12And on top of that, Derry Hunter gets scripted out because Justice Hill is back there and Jacksonville has been the number one defense against fantasy
33:21running backs even even ahead of the Seattle Seahawks. Uh opposing offenses have the lowest neutral run rate against them on top of that. Now like they are
33:29missing Devon Hamilton. Uh the Ravens do get back Vega Yon from this one, but Derrick Henry doesn't look as good, you
33:38know, projected to lose 10 points. So I I moved him as far down as I can before I reach some names where like, okay,
33:44that their team total down and they're like obvious committees as well.
33:48>> Yeah, the scripted out stuff. Just a note on that. Derrick Henry has one fourth quarter touch in the past two
33:53weeks out of 12 that this backfield has combined for. That's from Mercy Bar's worksheet. So yeah, you're only playing three quarters right now.
34:00>> I could be open to moving him down a couple extra spots if if we get there.
34:04We'll see.
34:05>> Yeah, I will add no Devon Hamilton for this Jaguars defense. He's kind of been the anchor of that run defensive line.
34:12Uh but even with that said, I mean Derrick Henry is 87 yards before contact. That's 33rd in the league right now. So, he has to score a touchdown
34:20here. Has to.
34:22>> Blake Cororm is your running back. 22.
34:25I'm going to start with the Ctier. Is that fine with you?
34:28>> Um, I think one more in the B tier for him.
34:31>> Okay.
34:31>> One more in the B tier.
34:32>> This is at the Washington Commanders. We already talked about uh Kairen Williams, but the stat that I always bring up is
34:40that when they are ahead or and on the scoreboard, then you know it's almost a 50-50 split between these two guys and
34:47they are five and a half point favorites in this game.
34:49>> Yeah, those are my exact notes. Over the last month of the season, he's been the RB12. That's on RB40 usage. He's running
34:55really hot, but that's also because the scheme is good. The offensive line is pretty good. And then I think Cororm is
35:00good himself. like we should be expecting him to score better than his usage would indicate. Commander defense lost to Ron Payne, a defensive tackle
35:08here. Uh they're still like pretty decent up front. Um >> and Kimh.
35:12>> Yes. So, you know, I think Corm's like in a better spot than a lot of, you know, number one running backs across
35:20the league. That's just, you know, being on a team projected for 26 and a half points. He's getting like is the driveby
35:26drive rotation. Like that's it's kind of as simple as that. Kyron Williams going to play the two-minute drill. Kron Williams going to catch more passes when
35:32they're losing. But when it's when they're ahead, it is every other drive and we're just going to see which drives lead to touchdowns and that running back
35:38will score the touchdowns. And that's why we've seen Blake Corin outscore Kairen Williams recently where Corm's been running hot, Kairen Williams
35:44running a little bit dry and eventually that will switch.
35:47>> Yeah, I think both look really good this season. Obviously Kiren's helped with the receiving game work too. So yeah, with like where the passing game is at
35:54right now, if the running game gets in a flow, I could see Shawn McVey just leaning on that. Leaning on that.
36:00>> Next up, you have Quinn Sean Judkins.
36:03This was the quarterback change I forgot at the top. This is the fourth one in Shidor Sanders starting for the Cleveland Browns because Deshun Watson
36:12got a concussion or a head injury I should say in the first quarter and then was checked out and returned to the game
36:19but he has now reported concussion-like symptoms. So here we go. We get Shadore and Quinchan at the New Orleans Saints and the Browns are projected for fewer
36:30than 20 points here.
36:32Yeah, the team total sits pretty low and like there's pretty obvious splits with Dylan Samson back in the mix. Uh expected points gone from 13.8 to 11.4.
36:42That's directly because >> his targets went from four per game to one and a half per game. If they're losing, Dylan Samson is going to play
36:49more, you know, two-minute drills, third downs, that type of stuff where Quinn Sean at one point was inheriting some of that stuff. He's not uh going to get
36:57that anymore. So, that's the negative.
36:59The positive is the Saints have been pathetic trying to stop running backs.
37:04Um, a league high 21.2 points per game to running back rushing. That's, you know, the best in the league by far
37:11because they've missed so many tackles uh up the up the middle as well. So, we'll see. Bejon RB5, Brian Robinson RB8, Aaron Jones RB7, Tyron Tracy RB8.
37:21Like, those are like not the best running backs in the league right there.
37:24Uh, finishing as top 10 overall picks.
37:27So, I moved him as high up as I could.
37:29>> Harris Bree Hall, he is the first Jets running back that you have ranked. He's your 24th player. He is coming back from
37:37what a quad injury. Uh it seems like he's trending in the right direction to play. Unfortunately, this is on the road
37:44against the Kansas City Chiefs and the Jets are only projected for 18 and 3/4 points. So, it's not like Briaw was an
37:52effective runner to start the season. He was getting most of his work in the passing game. Brillin Allen has been a
37:57much more effective runner. Now, some of that can just be the small samples and the variance and all that type of stuff,
38:02but uh yeah, I'm excited to see Bree back in the fold. Uh because, you know, he's now the seventh skill player that's
38:10better than decent on this offense.
38:12>> And like you said, like his receiving role was kind of the part that was keeping him afloat. And like that was
38:17because Omar Cooper wasn't in the mix.
38:19Uh both their tight ends were missing time earlier in the season. Adnai Mitchell uh was in and out of the lineup
38:24too. just like it just it's a loaded skill group for a team projected for 19 points. Kind of as simple as that. Plus
38:29with Bree Hall, we just don't know how what the split's going to be. Like my guess is like 5050 6040 where maybe like
38:38Breeze Hall kind of gets the higher paid, you know, more veteran like start, but then it's kind of ride the hot hand.
38:44Or it could be Bree Hall starts, plays the passing downs, but on early downs it's a lot more Brillin Allen at the
38:49goal line is Brilen Allen and that's how Breeze Hall gets squeezed. If you have Reese Hall, you are absolutely hoping for a trade. Like, no question about it.
38:57And yep, >> until that happens, I'm gonna be ranking him more as a flex than an RB2. Um, and if I were the Jets, like this is so
39:04obvious. Like, you absolutely should be trading.
39:07>> Yeah. 10point underdogs here. So, some of that pass game work might be necessary, too.
39:12>> Yeah.
39:13>> The Washington Commanders lead running back is Rashad White. The Washington Commanders have two running backs right now in Austin Eckler and
39:21Rashad White. And here's Rashad as running back 25 for you as underdogs against the LA Rams.
39:26>> No. Jeremy McNichols is going to help at the goal line role where Rashad White in backto-back games has scored touchdowns
39:32like in the fourth quarter like on the final drives of the game to kind of save his day. But that's kind of what I'm
39:38expecting. I don't think that Austin Eckler's going to be the goal line back.
39:40It's going to be Rashad White. Plus, he catches some passes uh over the last couple weeks. He's been the RB7 on RB7
39:46usage and then the RB11 on RB22 usage.
39:49That's a lot of, you know, low-end RB2 type of numbers. Uh, facing the Rams, I want to knock them down a little bit
39:55just because they're such a good defense in general. Teams at 21 points, a tier above some of the other running backs in
40:01this range. I think Rashad White's like a fine enough player in in all capacities. And we've seen other like PPR scams like Ashen Genty finish as a
40:10top 10 running back. Bam Knight was an RB20 running back against them. James Cook was the RB4 as well. So, it's not
40:15an impossible matchup. is just one that's makes me a little bit nervous.
40:18>> Volume, volume, volume. And hopefully it pays off.
40:22Okay. Ashen Genty is your first Las Vegas Raider running back on the board. He sits here though as running back 26. This is at the San Francisco
40:3149ers. Did you check out Dan Gratziano's piece along with Jeremy Fowler on ESPN and read those quotes?
40:37>> Um, got it.
40:37>> Here's a section of it from Gratziano.
40:39quote, "Genty hasn't played well while Washington has, and the Raiders hope that last week serves as a wake-up call.
40:46If it doesn't, they're content to distribute the carries in Washington's favor moving forward as he offers a more explosive element in the run game right
40:55now." I mean, that's like word for word what we said. It is. Um, what I'm expecting here is Ashen Genty obviously
41:03going to handle all the pass game stuff.
41:04That's not Mike Washington's game.
41:06That's been the best part of Ashen Genty so far. And then I don't think it's going to be 25 to2 this week. I think
41:11it'll probably go back to where it's like >> 50/50 and we're back to riding the hot hands, which by the week or by the way,
41:18like the last couple weeks, >> I thought it was just riding the hot hands. It's like watching the game unfold and I think they were trying to
41:24establish a hot hand. I think we're probably going to go back to that. So from week three to this past week,
41:30Ashton Jensenti is the RB18 and RB5 usage. There's now even more uncertainty from there. So I want to kind of knock
41:36him down from there. I'm not writing off Ashen Genty entirely, but I I do understand the like complete uncertainty from Clint Kubak. I don't think that
41:45he's the scheme fit that he wanted and I think Mike Washington is a better scheme fit. And all that said, like they're
41:51expected to lose by 10 points. they're gonna be chasing and that's where Ashton Genty like by far has the game script
41:58>> um on his side here where I wanted to move Mike Washington even further because even if he was getting like
42:03early down carries in the first half, this game could be so Jover and then it wouldn't even matter.
42:08>> Yes. I mean that's the biggest point here against the 49ers. 10-point underdogs is going to lean to the guy that's playing in passing downs and
42:14explosive in the passing game at least I think. Um, but to your other point, that piece goes on to say that it shows how
42:21much power Clint Kubak already has on the roster that he was able to make that move in week eight, >> basically outlining that the scheme fit
42:28is better for Mike Washington. So, um, this honestly might be another week where, >> you know, it might say out there, oh,
42:37look, Ashton Genty plays 65% of snaps and gets more touches and stuff, and yet we still didn't learn anything to use
42:43the rest of the season other than when they're down by seven to 10 points. I think it's pretty simple. Clint Kubak
42:47does not care at all. He wants the best players on the team on the field and he doesn't know who that is yet and he's
42:53just going to keep tinkering with it until he figures out who's the best player in the right scheme and all that
42:58type of stuff. He's he mentioned he's been uh benching corners and benching guards. He's like, why should why is this any different?
43:05>> Well, Tyler Algier is the best back in the Cardinals right now because he's the only running back left with the Arizona
43:11Cardinals and he sits here as your running back 27. This is at the Seattle Seahawks. Add them to the list of the
43:17players I have to decide between with Bruce Hall and Woody Marks and all that type of stuff.
43:20>> Um, the Seahawks, they've still allowed 97 total yards and one and a half touchdowns per game to back fields over
43:28the last few weeks. Uh, but yeah, I mean, at least we know that even before getting 25 carries, Tyler Algier was the
43:37passing down guy for the Cardinals. I would not expect that to change here.
43:41>> Yeah, I don't know if BAM Knight's going to play concussion protocol. We'll learn later in the week there. Um, by the way,
43:46James Connor is still not ready to go.
43:49We'll see if he comes back at all. Um, yeah, the Seahawks defense has been maybe a little bit worse against fantasy
43:56running backs recently, but they also just faced the Bears, Kenneth Walker, the Broncos, and the 49ers. So, like, and DeAndre Swift scored three
44:04touchdowns. He had 79 yards on a bunch of touches. Like, you know, he he scored the touchdowns. Awesome. Like, that's great for DeAndre Swift. Uh but you know
44:12the Cardinals are gonna run on the Seahawks. Like they're projected for 14 and a half points. Like that this is Joe
44:18Fenano adjacent uh team totals here. So like it's worse. It's actually below. They're they're 30.
44:25>> It's the lowest. It's 15 and a half. No, it's it's second. It's not worse. I have at 15 and a half. You might have
44:30something different.
44:30>> Okay. I'm at 14 and a half. What?
44:32Whatever it is, it's it's not a lot. And >> I I couldn't justify ranking him higher.
44:38>> Yeah. Yeah, >> even if he's going to be out there for like 80% of the snaps, like where are these snaps going?
44:43>> No, I I I think it's very fair. Um I think it's very fair and it doesn't really get that much easier rest next
44:50two games for Tyler Roger. This is a tough tough tough three-game stretch for the guy. Moving on, you have Jaren Price
44:57as the first Seahawks running back on your board. Zack Charban is immediately after these are running back 28 and 29.
45:07Obviously, you have a very firm and strong opinion on one guy over the other.
45:13>> Very, very strong. By the way, if I was gonna ask you in this game, which running back scores the most fancy
45:18points between Algier Price and Charbanet? And you can you can hit me with the the George Hani wild card if you if you really want to.
45:26>> Uh, I'm gonna go with Ricky Waters.
45:28>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
45:30>> Does that name mean anything to you?
45:31>> No.
45:32>> No.
45:33>> No.
45:34>> I'm gonna go with Robert Turban.
45:36>> Okay. There we go. That's That's more my speed.
45:39>> There we go.
45:39>> Andre Ellington.
45:41>> Wow. He was fun for a second. Per like a couple games.
45:44>> He was real fun.
45:46>> Um >> Beanie Wells.
45:48>> Of course. Of course.
45:50>> Yeah.
45:51>> You're good at this.
45:52>> That's with Price. I think he's better than Charbanet, but Price did make a couple mistakes. I thought just like kind of
45:59reading things out and kind of where I thought there was a cut back lane or that he could have rode the inside
46:03shoulder. And then I also thought Charbanet was making the right decisions, but also if he had Jarian Price speed, those would have been
46:11explosives instead of, you know, okay gains. So I don't think that this backfield's really going to change all that much. Emanuel Wilson was active. I
46:18could see him being a healthy scratch because he didn't play at all. And then Helani, Charbanet, Price were pass protecting, they were catching the ball,
46:24they were running the ball. There wasn't like defined roles here. It was just kind of three running backs out in the
46:29mix. Um, I don't think they want to load up either of these guys that much. The big thing here though is they're
46:35projected for 27 points. So even if they are in these like part-time roles, like these guys absolutely could get home. If
46:41I >> start getting positive news on either Charban or Price uh heading into Sunday here, I I'm tempted to move these guys
46:49up a little bit.
46:51>> Yeah, I have that down to 24 points now.
46:54Maybe this team team totals dropped down to like 40 and a half.
46:57>> Yeah, probably because with Drew Lock.
46:58Yeah. So I haven't updated that.
46:59>> That's why that's why. Um, but still that's more of maybe a passing thing versus I mean obviously passing gets down to the red zone. I think the most
47:09bankable point to answer your question is Zack Sharp scoring a touchdown because when they get inside the 10 yard line, Zack Sharp is going to be touching
47:17the ball.
47:18>> I agree with that. Um, I think most likely to get, you know, 18 touches in the game. Zer, do they go anywhere? like
47:25this is I have this right back to back to back and then if you guys in the comment section want to you know uh
47:31break ties I I would love to love to see what you guys say >> and if you're interested in more excitement beyond fantasy sports with

48:28Sports app today and keep football at your fingertips wherever you are. The crown is yours. Okay. Okay. Well, Kendra Miller is your first Saints running back
48:37off a by-week and prior to that was outgained by Aaron Rogers on the ground.
48:44Uh Kendre Miller and the Saints are favorites in this game and against the Cleveland Browns who have not been fantastic against the run in every
48:52single contest. So Hayden, I'm going to put Kendre Miller in your Ctier.
48:55>> I guess I like that. Um I'm way ahead versus everyone else on Kendry Miller. I think the last two games going into the
49:02buy, he was the 1A and then Alvin Chimera was just like getting pretty lucky and scoring some touchdowns, but it was actually Kendrick Miller who's
49:09getting the goal line attempts there. I think Henry Miller is better than Alvin Chimera at this point. Um, and like you
49:15said, this team total is way higher than some of the other committees that we've been talking about. And that's why I
49:20have Kendry Miller slightly ahead. I've not heard like very many positive updates from Travis Han still. Um, we did get that Jordan Tyson Zi's
49:28practicing and we'll see if he's going to get ramped up and actually play this game. Um, but that would I think end up
49:33helping Kendrick Miller just you know them moving the ball more often. Like we're hoping for a goal line touchdown.
49:38I think Jordan Tyson is you know going to be helping them get down there.
49:42>> Okay, I'm going to throw the rest of the running backs in the D tier. That is Mike Washington. Oh, Brillin Allen. Kung
49:50guy. Man, I do wonder if we get back to the Monung guy gets 45% of the work stuff at some point when he's back. Like
49:57maybe Yep. week 10, week 11. That >> maybe this week.
50:01>> Maybe this week, too.
50:02>> Yeah.
50:03>> And then Chris Rodriguez as your running back 34. And then we'll just throw, you know, Deon Singleary up there as running
50:08back 35. Oh, we didn't even talk about the Vikings running backs at all.
50:13>> Good at all. They're running back 37 and 38. I even forgot about them down at the bottom of the list. Obviously, I thought
50:20last week was going to be a decent week for Jordan Mason, and it absolutely wasn't. And you should be able to do
50:26better against the Detroit Lions as a rushing game as a whole because as an individual, Aaron Jones had outperformed uh that and they're only projected for
50:3421 points here at home against the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football.
50:37>> These guys are problematic because Jordan Mason, I think, is more likely to score a touchdown, but if he does not
50:42get that touchdown, he's going to finish as the RB 54, which is how he finished last week. And you know, the team's only
50:47projected for 21 points because they haven't been able to get even Justin Jefferson the ball easy enough. And then with Aaron Jones, like he's been leaving
50:55too many games and like he's only going to catch so many passes with all the skilled guys back in the lineup as well.
51:02So like, you know, last week um Aaron Jones was the RB43 in usage. Jordan Mason was the RB 47 in usage. You know,
51:09I'm ranking him higher than that. Uh but the Buffalo Bills, by the way, they have a couple. Greg Rouso and uh Dion Walker
51:17are probably like, you know, upandcomers that are making a real big difference up front for for Buffalo. Their secondary still has me concerned, but those are
51:26two high quality players.
51:28>> Big, big, big. Agree. Okay, that's going to do it. That's 38 running backs here today that we have covered. And that
51:36means Friday, bunch of wide receivers on tap, including a whole bunch of new quarterbacks to talk about with those wide receivers and how it impacts them.
51:44So maybe we have some more information on how that unfolds.
51:47>> Pop quiz. There's a team that we did not get to any of their running backs. Do you know which team it was?
51:52>> A [ __ ] Um I mean I'm not looking.
52:00I mean what what is the most irrelevant team?
52:03>> You can get it. Think about that. Keep thinking about that.
52:07>> Oh, the Chargers.
52:08>> There we go.
52:09>> Yep. Did you see >> I was going to bring this up when we talked about Lad Mani?
52:17>> Oh, >> did you did you see Quinton Lakes clips from the Aman Ros St. Brown St. Brown podcast?
52:24>> He's not wrong.
52:25>> When when he said he was asked about what it was like facing Justin Herbert and he said I mean he was throwing deli meat out there.
52:33He's seen ghosts. I'm not going to lie, we knew we were going to get a couple.
52:37That's horrific, man. I mean, he he did spend the entire episode trashing on every single team, but uh that's a that's a pretty pretty sick sick one.
52:47>> Yeah, he's not wrong.
52:49>> It's nothing but the truth. Nothing but the truth.
52:53>> Throwing deli meat out there. Mike's way.
52:55>> All right, that does it. Thanks everyone. We'll see you on Friday. Talk to you then.
