Alvin Kamara

NegativeProjection0:47

Kamara's role with the Saints is diminishing; the analyst expects to say goodbye to Kamara as the team moves forward with other offensive weapons.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

PositiveProjection0:22

Florio highlights Brock Bowers as one of two dynamic players on the Raiders roster alongside Aston Gentry, suggesting the team cannot perform worse than last year with these two on the squad.

Insight page

Carnell Tate

NegativeProjection0:39

If Carnell Tate is drafted by the Browns at #6, his fantasy value is significantly downgraded due to the Browns' historically poor organizational performance and lack of QB stability.

Insight page

Chris Olave

PositiveProjection0:46

Olave led all wide receivers in targets of 20+ yards and is ranked as a top-6 WR; he remains the Saints' WR1 even with Jordan Tyson added to the offense.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:46

Olave is in contract extension talks with the Saints and remains the WR1 in the offense.

Insight page

Deshaun Watson

NegativeProjection0:43

The Browns are hopeful Watson can become the QB they thought he was when signed, but this is speculative and uncertain given his recent performance.

Insight page

Emanuel Wilson

PositiveValue0:16

Laquan Jones prefers Emmanuel Wilson over Najee Harris as a Seahawks running back option, suggesting Wilson would be a better fantasy investment.

Insight page

Fernando Mendoza

PositiveProjection0:21

Florio projects Fernando Mendoza's year-one performance to be similar to Bryce Young's, citing offensive line concerns, but suggests his trajectory could improve in years two and three as the Raiders continue building.

Insight page

George Kittle

NegativeInjury0:05

Laquan Jones strongly advises against drafting Kittle as a top-five tight end coming off an Achilles injury, preferring Jake Tungjus as a safer alternative and citing concerns about his mobility and route-running ability post-surgery.

Insight page
NegativeProjection0:07

Florio expresses skepticism about Kittle's top-five tight end ADP, noting concerns about his route-running ability immediately post-Achilles surgery and preferring younger tight end options.

Insight page
NegativeInjury0:07

Marcus Grant is extremely cautious about Kittle's week-one return timeline, noting he's 33 years old with significant wear and tear, and comparing the optimistic recovery narrative to Brandon Aiyuk's similar pre-season hype.

Insight page

Jacoby Brissett

PositiveProjection0:29

Brissett led the league in passing yards per game (280 yards) and is a serviceable bridge QB who elevates fantasy value for Cardinals receivers like Michael Wilson and Trey McBride.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeRole0:34

If Jeremiah Love goes to the Giants with Cam Saquon Barkley, it creates a backfield timeshare that will be frustrating for fantasy purposes, as both backs will battle for touches and roles.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:34

Love is projected to be a mid to early second-round pick in fantasy at the latest; he is explosive, fantastic with the ball in his hands, and a great receiver.

Insight page

Jordyn Tyson

PositiveRole0:45

Tyson adds another dynamic weapon to the Saints offense alongside Chris Olave; he has twitchy route running, can make big catches downfield, and can hit on all three phases.

Insight page

Justin Fields

PositiveRole0:15

Florio rules out Justin Fields as a starter for the Chiefs unless Mahomes is physically unable to play, but acknowledges Fields could see package usage on third-and-short situations.

Insight page

Juwan Johnson

PositiveRole0:45

Johnson is the second fiddle to Chris Olave in the Saints offense, with Jordan Tyson's addition creating another dynamic weapon.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

PositiveDepth Chart0:14

Florio notes that the Chiefs acquiring Kenneth Walker suggests they plan to run the ball more than in the past, which could reduce Mahomes' rushing opportunities.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

NegativeRole0:26

If Ty Simpson is drafted by the Cardinals at #3, Harrison's fantasy value suffers because Simpson will eventually start, whereas Jacoby Brissett would provide better fantasy output for Harrison.

Insight page

Michael Wilson

PositiveRole0:32

Wilson's fantasy value is elevated when Jacoby Brissett is the Cardinals QB, as Brissett has shown ability to support receiver production.

Insight page

Najee Harris

NegativeProjection0:16

Laquan Jones expresses strong skepticism about Najee Harris in Seattle, comparing him unfavorably to Emmanuel Wilson and citing his lack of productivity and poor running style ('running with over large jeans and wet hands').

Insight page
NegativeRole0:16

Laquan Jones dismisses Najee Harris as a viable option in Seattle, noting he would be stuck behind Ashton Jeanty and lacks the fit for fantasy relevance.

Insight page
NegativeUsage0:17

Laquan Jones predicts Najee Harris would be limited to short-yardage opportunities in Seattle, similar to Zach Charbonnet's role, making him not fantasy-relevant on a week-to-week basis.

Insight page

Patrick Mahomes

NegativeProjection0:11

Laquan Jones dismisses Mahomes' recent throwing video as not moving the needle for fantasy, preferring Dak Prescott and Bo Nix ahead of him and expressing concern about his injury recovery affecting his mobility.

Insight page
NegativeInjury0:12

Laquan Jones emphasizes that Mahomes' fantasy value depends on his mobility and ability to extend plays, which are compromised by his recent injury, making him less appealing than other quarterback options.

Insight page
NegativeProjection0:13

Florio argues Mahomes is not a top-eight or top-ten quarterback, citing declining passing volume (no 4,000-yard seasons since 2022, no 30-TD seasons since 2022) and a weak supporting cast despite Eric Bieniemy's return.

Insight page
NegativeRole0:14

Florio predicts the Chiefs will limit Mahomes' rushing to keep him healthy for the playoffs, instructing him to avoid contact and slide like Peyton Manning, which will reduce his ceiling and increase his floor.

Insight page

Sam LaPorta

PositiveValue0:06

Laquan Jones highlights Sam Laporta's ADP as 'juicy' in best ball and warns that his discount will disappear once the fantasy community realizes how undervalued he is, recommending early acquisition.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper0:09

Laquan Jones strongly advocates for Sam Laporta as an undervalued tight end, pushing him to fifth in his rankings and cautioning listeners not to publicize his value to avoid driving up his ADP.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

PositiveProjection0:47

Travis Etienne was one of the best moves of free agency, suggesting the Saints are moving away from Alvin Kamara.

Insight page

Trey McBride

NegativeRole0:26

If Ty Simpson is drafted by the Cardinals at #3, McBride's fantasy value suffers because Simpson will eventually start, whereas Jacoby Brissett would provide better fantasy output for McBride.

Insight page

Ty Simpson

PositiveProjection0:23

Marcus Grant notes that Ty Simpson has become one of the most talked-about prospects in the draft, with Charles Davis mocking him at number three to the Cardinals, higher than Grant expected.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:23

If the Cardinals draft Simpson at #3 overall, he will likely start by October despite potential initial bench time, as first-round QBs typically play early in the season.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:24

Simpson has a strong arm, good pocket presence, doesn't panic under pressure, and can use his legs to scramble, though he's not a running QB; his mistakes are typically overthrows rather than backbreaking errors.

Insight page
PositiveProjection0:25

Simpson projects similarly to Mac Jones, a first-round pick from a few years ago, suggesting he shouldn't be a top-3 pick despite draft hype.

Insight page

Zach Charbonnet

NegativeProjection0:17

Laquan Jones expresses strong distaste for a potential Najee Harris and Zach Charbonnet backfield split in Seattle, calling it 'gross' and wanting no part of it.

0:27Hey everybody, it's Tuesday, March 31st, 2026. Welcome to the NFL Fantasy Football Podcast, where we are thinking about the future.
0:34It's me and your man, Marcus Grant, joined by Michael F.
0:38Florio and Laquan Jones. Happy end of March. It's wild.
0:42It is the end of March, guys. Like, this is kind of quick, you know?
0:47For real. Three weeks or so away from the draft, baseball's underway, Final Four is set.
0:53Like, yeah, we blinked, and it was like the Super Bowl and everything just blew by.
0:59Just blew by. So much going on in sports right now.
1:03Obviously, we're talking a lot of football. We're still talking draft-related things today.
1:07But you mentioned the Final Four and baseball because, you know, I only have so much bandwidth to devote to, like, watching sports.
1:15And so college basketball has kind of fallen off my radar.
1:19But the first week into the tournament, I was like, I'm locked in.
1:24Like, yeah, I don't really know these teams, but I just love the spectacle of it.
1:30And I'm locked in. It was great. And then baseball started.
1:33And I literally forgot that the Sweet 16 was happening.
1:37Same. I watched St. John's and that was it.
1:40Baseball, look, I know sports don't care. We're talking about we work for a league that has taken over all holidays.
1:48Everything. But I do miss when, like, the sports calendar made sense, right?
1:52Like, baseball waited until after March Madness to start.
1:56And, like, it just felt right, you know? Yeah.
1:59Leagues used to be polite about stuff. Now everybody's trying to grind their feet on everybody else's couch.
2:05And it's just, you know, it's true. I got to say, as the soccer fan here, as the wrestling fan here, I
2:13feel like there's something on every single day. Well, wrestling is always on.
2:18Yeah, exactly. So, like, I'm trying to cram all this stuff in.
2:22I was able to catch the UConn and Duke game, which was actually, you know, amazing to see the last shot.
2:29And great. That was just like, okay, I might be locked into college basketball.
2:34I don't know. I don't know. We're still trying to figure out what else I can learn.
2:40Yeah, that was wild. I was actually out to dinner with some friends.
2:45And the whole restaurant went berserk when they hit that shot, when UConn hit the shot there.
2:51I won't lie. The Knicks were playing the Thunder.
2:54I had no idea that happened until, like, halftime of the Knicks game.
2:59And then I was like, oh, my God. I'm fine.
3:02But, like, yeah, absolutely. The Mets and the Knicks right now are on.
3:07The Mets are daily. The Knicks are semi-daily. Like, there's only so much, like LQ said, that you can fit up there.
3:15Only so much time I have because I would still, at the end of the day, like to have a family.
3:22So, you know, I got to pick and choose whatever I watch.
3:27What, of course, we will all be watching is the NFL draft coming up in several weeks.
3:33We are watching, have been watching some of the prospects.
3:36There you go. Florio's got his notepad there. Oh, wow.
3:40LQ's got his notepad. I can hold up a notepad.
3:43There's no notes on it, but I can just hold one here if you want it.
3:49It just says NFL draft. The two names you saw were Jordan Tyson and Denzel Boston, by the way.
3:56But we talked about kind of our wish list of places we'd like to see some of these guys go.
4:03So I figured we should talk about where some of the draft experts have these guys mocked to and whether or not
4:11we like the fit, what it could mean, so on and so forth.
4:15So Charles Davis just put out his mock draft 3.0, the first round.
4:20There are eight names of offensive skill position players on it, so it's worth sort of just kicking it around, taking what
4:28Charles thinks, seeing how we like the fits or don't like the fits for those respective guys.
4:34But first, a little bit of news to get into.
4:37And I'm going to ask you this one, Laquan, for two reasons.
4:42Well, first, the headline. Niners GM John Lynch says he's hopeful George Kittle can return for week one.
4:48Well, I'm asking you this, one, because I know it annoys you to have to talk about the 49ers.
4:55But also... Why are we kicking off the show at Winers, bro?
4:59Because also you are the tight end whisperer on this show.
5:03Like that is your deal. So I'm asking you, with George Kittle coming off an Achilles injury that he suffered late in
5:11the season, if it is true that he can come back for week one, are you willing to take the risk of
5:18drafting him as a top five tight end? Because presumably, when you look at all of the tight ends out there, George
5:26Kittle's still probably going to be drafted as a top five tight end.
5:31Are you willing to take that risk? That would be a mistake.
5:35I think you'd draft later Jake Tungjus, the backup tight end.
5:39And I think that if George Kittle's ready for week one, maybe he'll be out there on the field.
5:46But we've seen him come back from injury before and make more of an impact in the run game.
5:53And we know that Christian McCaffrey, they're trying to whisper that they're trying to break down his load as the season goes on.
6:01But at the end of the day, George Kittle's one of the best blocking tight ends out there, also a route runner as well.
6:09But I don't know if I'm going to be drafting him as a top five tight end, because there's other pieces out
6:17there that are going outside that top five. Arande Gaston, Sam Laporta, which I want to whisper out about Sam Laporta, because
6:25man, that ADP is looking juicy right now in best ball.
6:29But I'm just looking at other tight ends that are healthy, that have better opportunities.
6:34And I honestly think like George Kittle going off the board as a top five, that's a huge mistake that you're probably
6:42going to have to have his handcuff, Jake, ready to go.
6:46I don't love the idea of drafting a tight end handcuff.
6:50Like that feels like just that feels like burning a roster spot.
6:54Don't love that idea. I mean, Florida, we talked about Achilles in terms of running backs, in terms of quarterbacks.
7:01It just hampers your mobility. That's really what it does.
7:05I'm kind of with Laquan. Like I'm scared to touch George Kittle at where he's probably going to go just because it
7:13only takes one or two people to pull him up in ADP.
7:17I just don't love the idea of taking him right after Achilles surgery, knowing that he might not be the same level
7:25of route runner right away that we've seen in his career.
7:29Yeah, I top five is crazy to me. I don't think I would even take him top 10.
7:35Like I want no part of this because he's going not only.
7:39Yes, is it Achilles? I think I think we're putting the cart before the horse when we're saying stuff like it's it's
7:47much more successful surgery than it used to be.
7:50It's easier to come back than it used to be.
7:54Is it? I know it's maybe not the kiss of death that it was like 10 years ago, but there's still very few track like success stories.
8:03I know Kevin Durant is one like Jason Tatum is back now in the NBA, but he hasn't looked himself.
8:11And the thing is, Kittle is going to be 33 years old this year.
8:15So it's not like he's a spring chicken. He has a lot of wear and tear and injury concern already on his tires.
8:24But also like he got hurt later in the season.
8:27So I think week one feels like a huge question mark for him.
8:32And I wouldn't be surprised if he's on the pup list.
8:36I just to me, I'd rather take a shot on the younger tight ends.
8:41I'd rather wait. Like I'm just not going to.
8:44And I'm told like we talk about the else list.
8:47I'm totally fine having no George Kittle this year.
8:51I'm kind of trending that direction. George Kittle back in week one at this moment feels a lot like Brandon Ayoub will be ready in week six.
9:00He's running drills on the sidelines. It just feels a lot like, hey man, Brandon Ayoub week six, mark it down.
9:08That's kind of how it feels. He tore his Achilles in January.
9:12I had to double check this. Like mid-January. Like we're two months removed from him tearing it.
9:18That means at the start of the season, he is going to be eight months removed from a torn Achilles.
9:25Yeah. I want absolutely no part of that. That feels really, really optimistic right now.
9:30So I probably. The other part of this is you mentioned Sam Laporta.
9:35If you want to get a good ADP on him, now is the time to do it.
9:41Because what's going to happen is we're going to wake up one day in late May and suddenly a whole bunch of
9:49people are going to realize, hey man, Sam Laporta's ADP is ridiculously low.
9:54And then he's going to be the main character for two or three days.
9:59And then that's going to be it. Like the discount's going to be over.
10:04I just tweeted yesterday. I was like, fancy streets.
10:07Please do not be too loud about Sam Laporta.
10:10That's you being loud about Sam Laporta? But no, I'm saying it now.
10:15Let's not do it. Let's not do it. Let's not do it.
10:19I'm looking at underdog ADP right now. Right? McBride, Bowers feel like a lock.
10:24Then, I mean, they are a lock. It's the top two.
10:28Then you got Loveland and Warren, who I do think are going to consistently go three and four.
10:34I'm pushing Sam Laporta up to five. Like, that's respectable.
10:38I would do it. I think that's a good ranking.
10:41But, Laquan, you saying, hey everybody, don't be loud about Sam Laporta.
10:45This is for, look, this is for people who listen to me and win championships when I talk about the tight end.
10:53That's all I'm going to say. That is on par with putting a cookie on a table and telling your kid, don't touch the cookie.
11:02That cookie is gone. Touch the cookie. That cookie is gone.
11:06Touch the cookie. The moment you turn your back, there's just going to be crumbs left there.
11:12Like, what are you doing, man? All right. Mason will leave half the cookie.
11:17That's the type of kid he is. He'll leave half the cookie.
11:21So then Laporta's ADP only goes about halfway to where it's going to be.
11:26Great. There you go. It will go from top five.
11:30It will go from like 10 to seven or something.
11:33Awesome. Patrick Mahomes has posted video himself throwing three months after surgery.
11:38I will say that because I am not on X as much, I didn't see it.
11:43I don't know. You guys can tell me. Were the fantasy streets going nuts?
11:48Were there a bunch of people with like big googly eye emojis?
11:53Were there arrows pointing up? Did all that happen with Mahomes in this video?
11:58I've avoided it. Oh, that's good. Slightly. The thing is, is because we've, well, me personally, I have taken L's on the freak athlete tier.
12:07And his money is different in terms of recovery.
12:10This is cool to see, but this does not move the needle for me whatsoever in fantasy.
12:16Like I still have guys like Dak Prescott, Bo Nix that I would rather take off the board before a patch from Mahomes.
12:24And I know this has been a pod that we've said we can never bet against Mahomes.
12:30But come on, man. Like I need to see more.
12:34Like I need to see later in June him being in actual, you know, practice ready game speed to be out there
12:41saying like, yeah, Patrick Mahomes is back. Is your concern the injury or is it the supporting cast?
12:48It's the injury. Because like I think when we talk about the Mahomes magic, that involves him moving out of the pocket.
12:56That involves him being able to be the Mahomes to extend the plays and to be, you know, mobile as much as we've seen him last year.
13:05This does not move the needle for me whatsoever.
13:08So then Florio, is he a top eight, top ten quarterback for you this year?
13:14Doing my best Leonardo DiCaprio impression? Absolutely not. And I was the guy last year on this pod like pounding the table for Patrick Mahomes.
13:23But what makes Mahomes special or at least helps elevate him as of late is his legs.
13:29Like last season, he ran for a career high in rushing yards and touchdowns.
13:34He was only a rusher for a good chunk of the season.
13:38Yeah. And it was like weekly until like week like eight.
13:42He was like, oh, yeah, he's led them in like six of their eight games or something like that.
13:49Like, but then you look at the passing numbers.
13:52He hasn't thrown for four thousand yards since 2022.
13:55He hasn't thrown 30 touchdown passes in a season since 2022.
13:59Like I know you could point to Eric Bien-Ami being back and maybe that gets the explosives going again.
14:06There is still a lot to be desired with this supporting cast here.
14:10Um, and on top of that, like maybe they add a wide receiver in the draft.
14:16But I think having Kenneth Walker is going to mean they can run the ball more than they have in the past.
14:24I think Mahomes isn't like Laquan was saying. I don't expect him to run at all.
14:29I've been pretty vocal that I expect him out there to start the year.
14:34But I think the Chiefs are going. The Chiefs don't care about the regular season, right?
14:40They just care about getting into the playoffs. So I think they are going.
14:45I agree. I think the Chiefs need to start worrying about getting into the playoffs.
14:50That is true. After last season. That division is starting to get better, man.
14:55Like the Denver and the Chargers. My God. And the question mark with the Raiders.
15:01No, it is. But they're still going, in my opinion, to operate as if the all they care about is keeping Mahomes
15:08healthy to get to the end of the season.
15:12Which means in my head, they're going to tell him to actively stop running.
15:17Like if you feel pressure, do a Peyton Manning.
15:20If you feel pressure, drop to the floor. Like we don't need you taking another hit.
15:26And because of that, I think Mahomes is going to be a lot more floor than ceiling.
15:32Do you think that's why they made the Justin Fields move?
15:36Like do you think at some point we'll see Justin Fields hit the field starting again?
15:41I don't think starting. If Mahomes is healthy. Not on purpose.
15:45I will not rule out packages for him, though.
15:48Like bringing him in on third and short, stuff like that.
15:52And that's going to hurt Mahomes. Yeah. I can definitely see the package deal for Justin Fields.
15:58But if Justin Fields is starting a game for the Chiefs, that's because Mahomes is just physically incapable of starting a game.
16:06I guess the only way that happens. I'm rooting for Fields, though.
16:10That's your dude, man. I'm rooting for him forever and ever.
16:14Running back news, Najee Harris had a free agent visit with the Seattle Seahawks.
16:19Also expected to visit the Raiders next. I mean, look, Najee Harris going to the Raiders.
16:25He's stuck behind Ashton Jinty. That's a non-starter there.
16:28But with an opening in Seattle, guys, I mean, Laquan is, could he be viable there?
16:34You know, the Seahawks pretty much basically said that we're fine moving on from Kenneth Walker.
16:39We're, you know, we'll find somebody else that's a suitable replacement.
16:43Is Najee Harris a suitable replacement? No. Coming off an injury, and you already know in previous pods of us having the
16:51years together, me calling him as a guy running with over large jeans and wet hands.
16:57And it's not, it doesn't, it's not exactly, you know, the fit that I think will be viable for fantasy or even for the Seahawks.
17:06Like, I honestly much rather, if I had to on the clock and I needed a Seahawks running back, I'll go Emmanuel Wilson over a Najee Harris.
17:15And again, like the little sprinkle that we saw of Najee, even though he had the, you know, the camp, he was
17:23on the sideline with the eye patch looking like, you know, a pirate.
17:28But at the end of the day, he just wasn't productive with his opportunities that we've seen him.
17:34And I think him splitting with, you know, possibility with Asher Denty, it will be like kind of a Clint Kubiak offensive
17:42where we saw Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet split, but it will be more short yardage opportunity for Najee Harris, if anything,
17:50which wouldn't be fantasy relevant on a week-to-week basis to even draft.
17:54A Najee Harris, Zach Charbonnet backfield, whenever Charbonnet is available again, and that's gross.
17:59I want no part of that, like at all.
18:02He's going to be, I think Najee, if he goes there, is going to play the Zach Charbonnet.
18:09Like a short yardage specialist. Like, I don't think, I mean, he was kind of a plotter before he tore his ass.
18:17Right. Like, I think Seahawks, the Seahawks are maybe the biggest candidate of anyone to draft a running back.
18:23Yeah. That's probably fair. They probably will take, not a first round running back, obviously, but I think a day two, certainly
18:31a day three running back is probably in the cards for the Seahawks.
18:36I forgot about you saying that Najee Harris runs like he's wearing jeans.
18:40I really forgot about that. And maybe we need, we need across sports, we need like the all, like, I don't know,
18:48call them the all Abercrombie, they're all street clothes athletes, because you got Najee Harris who runs in jeans.
18:55You have Draymond Green who shoots like he's wearing a backpack.
18:59Like, we need to just come up with all these athletes across sports who play their sport like they're just wearing regular clothes or something.
19:08That's all. This has nothing to do with what we're talking about, but I just saw it.
19:14That's the best kind. Apparently Todd Monken missed the head coach photo because he was getting a haircut for the head coach photo.
19:22Womp womp. I think McVeigh was doing interviews. Everybody was worried about where McVeigh was, but he was probably doing interviews.
19:29You know that he was getting his haircut? Nah.
19:33He wakes up and that thing is in the air, man.
19:36He's good. Oh, man. Now I'm looking up Todd Monken's haircut of brothers.
19:41Does he have hair? He's got hair. I don't know that it's.
19:45Look, if Todd, I don't know, just the pictures I'm seeing, if Todd Monken hadn't gotten a haircut, I don't know that
19:53you'd be able to tell the difference. I'm just saying.
19:57You think he's a super cuts guy? Oh, he has a nice set of hair.
20:02Oh, probably. Absolutely. Yes. 100%. Yes. 100%. All right.
20:05We're going to get into Charles Davis's mock draft 3.0, talk about some of the guys he has here and whether or
20:13not we like the fit that Charles has come up with some of these guys.
20:18That's coming up next on the NFL Fantasy Football Podcast.
20:22So Charles Davis has done his third version of his mock draft.
20:26Of course, you can find all of these at NFL.com.
20:30Just go to NFL.com slash mock draft, simple enough.
20:33You can find all the different ones that have been done by our various analysts.
20:38You got Mike Band, Lance Zerline, Charles Davis, Bucky Brooks, Chad Reuter, Daniel Jeremiah.
20:43There's no shortage of mock drafts up on the site.
20:47So you can go check them out. I picked Charles Davis's because it was the most recent.
20:53So no surprise, guys. Number one, Fernando Mendoza going to the Raiders.
20:57Oh. Shocking. Again, if we had. I'm waiting for somebody to do a hot take.
21:03Like a trade happens. Something to talk about. You know, if we had, again, if we had rookie free agency, we could
21:10talk about, hey, man, Fernando Mendoza might be a good fit in Arizona.
21:15Like, hey, why don't we explore that? But no, we're not allowed to have fun.
21:20So we're going to just talk about Fernando Mendoza going to the Raiders forever and ever and ever.
21:27I don't know. Florida, I think you and I have talked about this.
21:31I don't know if we've talked about this. Where is your excitement level for Mendoza?
21:37Like your expectations for him? Not just this year, but maybe just across his career, too.
21:42I would say, like, it'll be better than what they had last year with Gino.
21:48Right. So, like, we'll be looking at a whole new type of Raiders offense under Clint Kubiak.
21:54I mean, the old line, they've improved. But adding one sender in Tyler Lindemann is going to need more than that just to protect Mendoza.
22:03You still got to worry about those blind spots.
22:06He has semi-mobility. But I think the excitement for Raiders fans right now is that they have the number one pick.
22:13They're spending it on the quarterback. My expectations for him year one, probably similar to Bryce, being that that old line is still kind of lacking.
22:22I think trajectory, it could be exactly where Bryce is in year two and three.
22:28I think that the Raiders are on the up and coming if they keep adding these pieces because you have two dynamic
22:36players in Brock Bowers and Aston Gentry. There's no way you can do worse than what you did last year with these two players on your squad.
22:45So, again, I got a feeling like they'll make some noise in year two and year three if they continue all building
22:53this old line and everything else just blossoms to be what it is.
22:58The defense is sneaky good as well. That secondary was like scrappy last year and you get Max back as well, causing chaos in the trenches.
23:07I do think that the Raiders, they could be one of those feisty scrappy teams like how I was talking about the Saints last year.
23:16The one thing I will correct you on is it can always get worse.
23:21You know, like you're just like it couldn't be worse than last year.
23:25I mean, ideally, no, but it can always be worse.
23:29So just keep that. I hope not. I hope not.
23:33Let's say that. I hope not. All right. That's enough for Mendoza to talk like it's just there's no there's no drama in it.
23:41It's not fun to talk about because it's just it is what it is.
23:46At number three, though, Florio, Charles Davis goes to tie Simpson to the Arizona Cardinals, which puts our man Jacoby Brissett, at
23:54least in a competition, maybe on the bench. Simpson has become one of the most talked about prospects in this draft.
24:01And the draft industrial complex seems to be talking him up three.
24:06That's maybe the highest I've seen him. Wow. I thought he would be a second round pick.
24:12And I'm not going to say I know as much as Charles Davis or a lot of people who, you know, are draft analysts for a living.
24:21I just watch them play and I kind of write my thoughts down.
24:26And then I let the chips fall where they may.
24:29When I was watching Ty Simpson, though, it was like he has a strong arm.
24:35That's the first thing that like he could just like flick his wrist and the ball will go 50 yards downfield like very strong arm.
24:44He could put it on a rope. I liked his pocket presence presence a lot.
24:49Like he he did a good job in Alabama when he would like he would sense the pressure and like he he doesn't like panic.
24:58He just keeps his eyes downfield. He moves around the pocket.
25:02He could use his legs a bit. He's not like a running quarterback by any means, but like he could use his
25:10legs to scramble and create more time. He his mistakes weren't like backbreaking mistakes.
25:15Like when he misses a target, it's usually overthrown.
25:18So I liked him. And the name I wrote down was Mac Jones, though, who was a first round pick a few years ago.
25:26But I think. I thought he projected like, you know, like people would be like, all right, we shouldn't use the first
25:34on a first on him, especially a top three pick.
25:38But the thing is, if the Cardinals do throw all of that out the window, if they take him third overall, like he will start.
25:47Maybe he won't start week one, but I would say by October he would be their starting quarterback.
25:53We do this every year when a team drafts a young quarterback.
25:57We say, well, they're not going to play. They're going to sit on the bench.
26:02And then by a month into the season that Jackson Dart, we were having this exact conversation with a year ago.
26:10Like the young quarterback is going to play. Trust me.
26:14So I think if you if you have Trey McBride or or if you want Trey McBride, Marvin Harrison, you probably don't want this.
26:22You want a season of Jacoby Brissett. I think that is the best fantasy output.
26:27But Simpson is it seems like there's more and more smoke coming and probably going to be a first round pick now.
26:35Yeah, the the first round pick will play thing is real.
26:39You only have so many years with that. You have to evaluate him.
26:44And I think especially if if it is Arizona.
26:47Right. For the sake of argument, it's the Cardinals.
26:50Jacoby Brissett is not a good enough quarterback where you're like, hey, Ty, we just want you to sit and watch for a year.
26:59This isn't I know Jordan Love was not a early first round pick.
27:03He was a late first round guy, but it's not Jordan Love going to a team with a Hall of Fame level
27:11quarterback still playing at a reasonably high level where it's like, hey, Jordan, you're going to have to wait your turn.
27:19And then once we've moved on from Aaron Rodgers and it's going to be your situation, nobody's like, hey, you got to wait behind Jacoby Brissett, man.
27:28Like somebody's doing that. But I'll take this in a different direction, though, Marcus.
27:33Because I think if they do take him at third, that there's no reason to rush him in.
27:40Because when we look at the Jackson Dart situation, Brian Dable was in the hot seat.
27:45I want to go take you back in time, back to my St.
27:50Louis Rams when Jeff Fisher was on the hot seat, when he finally put Jared Goff in and probably one of the
27:58worst games and starting in the rain against the Dolphins.
28:01And then exit left. Jeff Fisher is gone. But again, I look at this situation a little bit different.
28:08Why not spend a year with Jacoby Brissett and Gardner Minshew there also that they signed?
28:14Why not have Mike LaFleur build this molding team if, again, he thinks that Ty Simpson could eventually be his guy?
28:21There's no rush because he just got there. It's a first year head coach.
28:26And I think the Cardinals are going to give guys like him some years because look how long it took Gannon to get out.
28:35So, like, I think if they take him at three, they got some years that they can really mold him and get him ready to be polished.
28:44When is the last time outside of Jordan Love that a first round quarterback didn't play?
28:50Like, last year they both played pretty much immediately with Ward started week one.
28:55Dart came in pretty quickly. The year prior, we...
28:58Hot seats. It's Caleb, Jaden, May, Penix, McCarthy didn't play because he was hurt.
29:03Knicks. Hot seat. You go the year prior. It's Bryce, Stroud, Anthony Richardson.
29:08The year prior, it's Kenny Pickett, Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson.
29:11They all play. And all failed. And technically because LaFleur is there right now, why not start with the guy you...
29:19If you're taking a quarterback at three, this is the guy you think can be your future.
29:25Why not let him start? Because, especially because if you're the Cardinals in that division, nobody's expecting anything of you.
29:32Nobody expect... Like... But do we think Ty Simpson has the IQ of Jacoby Brissett?
29:37He's employed for a reason for all these teams.
29:40And also, we got to put some respect on him.
29:44Look... 280 yards per game. Who led the league?
29:47Him. Jacoby Brissett. I've been talking up Brissett for a while now.
29:51Like, I rock with Brissett. Like, that is one of my guys.
29:56But... Like, to what Marcus said, he's been on all of those teams for a reason.
30:01Right? Like, he is not a franchise... And he has been looked at as the serviceable bridge court.
30:08I'm telling you, why would you bench him? Yes, but he's not a franchise guy.
30:13Ty Simpson is ideally the thing on the other side of the bridge.
30:18Like, you're not going to keep building the bridge when you're already the other side of the river.
30:24And we have seen the NFL has changed, right?
30:27Like, they want to know what these kids are right away.
30:31They want them to get the development and the seasoning.
30:35Because you need to make a decision in a couple of years.
30:39Like, are we locking this guy up? So the more you get to see them play and develop them...
30:46Like, it's why Tyler Shuck came in pretty quick last year.
30:50Like, the NFL has just become a young quarterback league, in my opinion.
30:54Tyler Shuck is like 33 years old. Young in airplanes.
30:58But he was young in airplanes. You know, like, he was a rookie and he came in...
31:04He has a lot of experience. He stole the job.
31:07I don't know off top. I don't know off top of right now because I don't have what's in front of me
31:15to see his experience as a starter. But I'm pretty sure he's on the cusp of not having that many starts under his belt.
31:24Ty Simpson does not have... He was only a full-time starter his final year.
31:29That was it. So we've seen this story play out multiple times.
31:33And you're telling me a first-year head coach is going to rush it in when you have a Jacoby Brissett to maintain what this offense needs to build.
31:43They're not expected to win in year one. Right, but that's the thing.
31:48Is that, like, if you play Jacoby Brissett for a year, you win three, four, maybe five games.
31:54And you've learned nothing about... And you've learned nothing about the guy.
31:58You've burned a year of his, you know, first four years.
32:02You've burned that year, and you haven't learned anything at all.
32:06Put him in week 15, 16, 17, 18, whatever.
32:09Put him in to get those type of developments for momentum going in the next year.
32:15Like, Jacoby Brissett is the fantasy answer. Because Jacoby Brissett elevates Michael Wilson.
32:20Jacoby Brissett elevates Trey McBride. That's what we want.
32:23Ty Simpson is the real football, we're trying to build a franchise answer.
32:27I don't think he's ready. Maybe not, but again, if you're taking him at three, you believe that he's ready or close
32:35enough to being ready that you're giving him reps.
32:38I go back to... I remember, like, I'm aging myself here, but I remember having debates like this...
32:45You're not as old as me, keep going. ...about Mitchell Trubisky when I forgot who the quarterback they signed...
32:52They legitimately signed someone to be... Nick Foles. Yeah, and Trubisky was starting by October.
32:57Like, it's just the way the NFL operates. Well, Nick Foles is pretty bad and didn't like football anymore.
33:04Jacoby Brissett, as much as I like him, I love football.
33:08And he's a good player. Like, he did all of his work last year when they were down numerous scores.
33:15Like, you don't need someone that's out there putting up numbers and losing efforts.
33:20I think if you're the Cardinals, you view it as this...
33:24These snaps are better... Like, Jacoby's gonna start week one.
33:27I wouldn't be surprised if he starts all of September.
33:31But at some point, pretty soon, I think the Cardinals would be like, we need to see what we have in this kid.
33:39All right, so that was more Ty Simpson talk than I thought we were gonna have here.
33:45Let's take a break, come back, and dive into some more names in Charles Davis' mock draft next on the NFL Fantasy Football Podcast.
33:53Going through the latest mock draft from Charles Davis.
33:57You can find it at NFL.com slash mock drafts.
34:00And up next, at number five, Jeremiah Love going to the Giants.
34:04Florio, you are maybe the biggest Cam Scadaboo guy here.
34:08This seems no bueno for both Love and Scadaboo if they're both in the same backfield.
34:13There's more and more smoke for this. And I hate it because I...
34:18Like, Cam Scadaboo was an art. Not like, you know, oh, he was pretty good.
34:23Like, he was a top five fantasy running back until he got hurt.
34:28You can do that when you have no regard for your own body.
34:33I saw a post on Twitter this morning. It was from Pokemon.
34:37It was like, this is Cam Scadaboo when he sees a defender.
34:41And it just said, do you want to headbutt this?
34:45Oh, but... Critical damage. Yeah. Like, Jeremiah Love would ruin any value for Scadaboo because he is so good at everything.
34:52Right? Like, there's nothing I could sit here and be like, oh, well, Cam might be better.
34:58Like, actually, Cam would be the better short yard guy.
35:02That's the only concern I have with Jeremiah Love is if he is going to be, you know, kind of how we
35:10saw with, like, Bijan, where the Falcons would get near the goal line and be like, we're bringing in the bigger back with Tyler Alshier.
35:18That is my only concern with Jeremiah Love. I think he can do everything else.
35:24He is super explosive, fantastic with the ball in his hands, great receiver, all of that.
35:29He is going to be a mid to early second round pick in fantasy at the latest, I think.
35:36But I would hate this because I love some Cam Scadaboo.
35:40I mean, just it's one of those things where they're sharing a backfield and it's just going to be really frustrating.
35:48On a lesser level, and this is me going back to my Javante Williams love again.
35:53But it was not knowing how much I enjoyed watching him in North Carolina and having him get drafted to Denver when
36:01they had Melvin Gordon there already and just being disappointed.
36:05And, you know, Adam Rank tried to talk me out of it and I kind of perked up a little bit, but
36:12it just never was what I wanted it to be.
36:16This is sort of how I'm feeling in advance if Jeremiah Love does go to the Giants, that they've got a guy
36:24that they like who can take opportunity. And you got another guy who can be super explosive.
36:30And this is not exactly like peanut butter and chocolate mixing.
36:34It is for football. Again, for real football, for the Giants, that'd be great.
36:39For us, it's a downgrade on both those guys because they're going to be battling for touches.
36:45And we got to figure out what roles are going to slot into.
36:49It's not going to be fun. On the real life football standpoint of it, though, Jeremiah Love already quoted and stated like,
36:57bro, I watch film, I go home, I watch anime and play video games.
37:02Cam Scadaboo's out here licking windows at the Super Bowl media week.
37:06Like if you go to my Instagram, you can see it.
37:10But we honestly see that Harbaugh wants folks that love the game of football.
37:15And I think that Jeremiah Love going to New York, that would be the best missing piece that they have because their
37:23old line was actually serviceable last year. I think Cam Scadaboo loves football.
37:28It's just that in his off time. I have no doubt that he does.
37:33In his off time, he's not watching anime. Like, you know, just replace watching anime with licking windows.
37:39Like everybody needs something to do in their downtime.
37:42Cam Scadaboo just happens to do something different than Jeremiah Love.
37:46I don't think it's an issue of not loving football.
37:50He makes himself ready to hit someone the moment his eyes open.
37:54I mean, you know, in your free time, you watch wrestling.
37:58I don't know. I play Minecraft. Like, it's just different, you know?
38:02I'm not licking windows, though. I mean, I wouldn't advise it.
38:06Like, kids, don't try this at home. But, you know, whatever, man.
38:10You got to fill the dead hours some kind of way.
38:14Yeah, he's licking windows. You're making a bunch of glizzies.
38:18It's all the same. It's all the same. Oh, come on, bro.
38:22It's all the same. Ain't no way. Stop that.
38:25I don't understand. I really don't understand your irrational dislike of hot dogs.
38:30They are delicious. He has such a love for them that he doesn't like them.
38:35I don't. Stop. Stop. I am not the glizzy lord.
38:39I am not the Glock Lesnar. The fact that you seem to be so offended when we point out the fact that you enjoy hot dogs.
38:48Maybe if you stopped calling them glizzies and called them hot dogs, you'd be less offended by that.
38:55Bro, it's an East Coast thing, man. It's an East Coast thing.
38:59I know, but the word itself seems inappropriate. I know it's not.
39:03It's one of those words that's not inappropriate, but sounds inappropriate.
39:07The glizzy lock monster. Just call them hot dogs like regular humans do, and you're fine.
39:13His favorite athlete is Joey Chestnut. Vallejo's finest, man.
39:16Shout out to Vallejo, California. At number six, Charles has the Browns taking Carnell Tate.
39:21Laquan, are we just riding off Carnell Tate because he's going to the Browns?
39:26Does that just mean it's over? Short answer, yes, because it's over.
39:30It was a nice ride. We had a great, you know, pre-draft.
39:35But to be honest, Shador changing his number to number two.
39:39I think Todd Munkin in the building. Does that make a difference?
39:43That's all we have. That's all we have in Cleveland.
39:46To look at him like, okay, maybe change is on the way, you know?
39:51Like, I want to be as loyal as the Browns fans are to the Browns because it's just like, they could paint
39:59any type of picture that it's Super Bowl. You know what I mean?
40:04Like, just seeing that, them reacting to these mock drafts, they want Carnell Tate.
40:09They want Jordan Tate. They want Jeremiah Love. I mean, guys, like, hold up.
40:14Quinshawn Junkins is there. But I think when we look at Carnell Tate going to the Browns, it's not going to be
40:22as, you know, our expectations are going to be as high as that we thought if he went anywhere else.
40:29I'm going to say a thing that I know is fully and totally unfair of me to ask Browns fans to do.
40:37Right? I get it. But I'm going to say it anyway.
40:40Y'all should stop going to games. No, no, no.
40:44You should really stop going to games. And do what, Marcus?
40:48Lick windows. We've been to Cannes. Very nice. We watch anime.
40:51I mean, my point being that, and I understand, the NFL has huge revenue sharing.
40:57And so much of its revenue and so much of the team revenue comes from TV deals and merchandising and what have you.
41:05But at some point, bad teams stay bad for a reason.
41:09And usually it's a thing that starts at the top.
41:12It starts with ownership. It starts with front offices.
41:16It starts with just a continual series of bad decisions being made over and over again.
41:21But there's no motivation for those ownership groups or those front offices to get better when eight, nine times a year they
41:29look out and the place is packed. And it sort of meant one thing back in the days.
41:36I'm old enough to remember NFL blackout rules where if you hadn't sold like 75% of your tickets by Thursday, then the
41:43game wasn't going to be on TV in the local market.
41:47So it made sense. Hey, we got to show up so the games can be on TV so we can get that recognition.
41:55That doesn't really exist anymore. And so I get it.
41:59I understand how much the Browns mean to the community.
42:03I know how much they mean to the fan base.
42:06I understand. And that's why that's why I preface this by saying I know it's an unfair thing to ask.
42:13But if y'all want to stop adding names to that ridiculous quarterback jersey that now runs like a CVS receipt, like at
42:21some point, at some point, the fan base has to leverage what power it has.
42:26And really, the only power they have is to just not show up.
42:31Like, I want better for them. I'm indifferent to the Browns generally.
42:35I'm sure I've made my share of Cleveland Browns factory of sadness jokes or what have you.
42:41But I do want to want better for this fan base that has been awful because I'm old enough to remember back
42:49in the 80s and 90s when the Browns were good, when they were competitive and they were going in deep playoff runs.
42:57That hasn't happened. You could be 35 years old and you don't know success for the Cleveland Browns.
43:03The only way I think it gets better is at some point they have to flex their muscles of fan base and
43:11say, F you, we're not showing up until you get your stuff together.
43:16I almost cursed multiple times in there. Get your stuff together.
43:20Kyrie, get the bleep button. And like, again, I understand, like, if all Browns fans are right now giving the middle finger
43:27to their phones or computers listening to this and saying, screw you.
43:32I totally understand. But I don't know any other way for the Browns to get better until their fans basically rise up
43:40in a group and tell ownership, we are sick of this.
43:43We're not showing up again until you figure it out.
43:47That's all great. But the latest I'm in the Browns world is that they are hopeful that Deshaun Watson could become the
43:55Deshaun Watson that they thought he was when they signed him.
43:59Right. They're giving him a fresh start. They're saying he has a great chance to be their starter and everything.
44:06Like, I want to be the second baseman for the Dodgers.
44:10I mean, there's a lot of things out there that we want.
44:14It's good to want things. this isn't like Deshaun Watson saying like I think I'm like this is the owner of the
44:22team saying he is going to have a strong chance to be your week one starter like Browns fans and Miles Garrett
44:30y'all should have got out when you had the chance had the chance man Miles Garrett is the worst because he actually
44:38had the chance like if I'm from Cleveland I live in Cleveland I work in Cleveland I'm not just picking up my
44:45family like Miles Garrett you could have left you could have left for real now you're hanging out sidelines at like Clippers
44:53games like you could have just come anyway you could have lived in LA if you wanted to like do something else
45:01anyway sorry about your luck Cardinal Tate we have I guess decided that it's going to be uphill sledding for you if
45:09you get drafted by the Browns go ahead and clock out chief yeah go ahead tough scene take a break come back
45:17we have four more names that we're going to get through in Charles Davis's mock draft 3.0 that's next on the NFL
45:24fantasy football podcast going through Charles Davis's mock draft 3.0 which you can find at NFL.com slash mock draft and at the
45:32number eight spot Charles Davis has the Saints taking Jordan Tyson LQ you love Jordan Tyson you and Chris Olave are like
45:40BFFs now apparently does this get you excited to see Jordan Tyson in New Orleans it does it does adds another weapon
45:48to that offense I think honestly with Juwan Johnson you know being the second fiddle to Chris Olave this adds another dynamic
45:56to this offense I think they can attack downfield even more because we saw Chris Olave leave all wide receivers in targets
46:04of 20 plus yards and I think that deep ball is going to get a little bit more accurate with Tyler Shook
46:11if you have somebody like Jordan Tyson that you're able to just dump off intermediate field he can hit on all three
46:19phases man just based on his twitchy route running like I know that Florio gave him the comp of Odell Beckham but
46:27I see a lot of that Justin Jefferson DNA in him as well where he makes those type of big catches downfield
46:35so I think this would be a huge move for the Saints if they go out there and get Jordan Tyson and
46:43then look they're in contract extension talks with Chris Olave so I think Olave still remains is that wide receiver one there
46:50and I still think that I got him right where I got him you know in my wide receiver rankings as a
46:58top six wide receiver this year I have this feeling Florio I'm gonna be sneaky heavy on the Saints and at least
47:06that cost right I said multiple times that I thought Travis E.
47:10Chin was one of the best moves of free agency because I think I think we can say adios to Alvin Kamara
47:18we saw Chris Olave get the glow up we saw Tyler Shuck step up and really make a strong case to be
47:26their guy at quarterback I don't know I don't know how long this goes but he made a case to be the
47:34starter for next year without a doubt Laquan mentioned Jawan Johnson who made many many appearances in the sleeper column last year
47:42we might really if they draft a wide receiver in the top ten we really might be heavy on the Saints this
47:49year yeah especially because they could be one of those teams who's trailing a lot and having to throw the ball which
47:57is what they were down the stretch last year which is what really helped a lot look I'm in on Olave where
48:05his ADP is in the third round top six I'm completely out on that just because I think I don't want to
48:13draft him at where I think his ceiling is but I don't expect him to go there I won't have him in
48:21any drafts with LQ but in my other leagues in the third round I'll be all about it I'm not really doing
48:29the Jawan Johnson thing because I've I've done it before there's a couple of good weeks it's all floor but I'm in
48:36on HN I'm in on if Jordan Tyson was to go there I'm in on him Tyson is my wide receiver one
48:44in this class I think it's close between him and Tate and they do a lot of similar stuff they both are
48:52like super reliable big catch radius kind of guys I just think Tyson has that ability to make a special play that
49:00I didn't see as much when I was watching Tate Tyson did a lot of really special things and I know ASU
49:08receivers haven't always worked out but he is my one in this class and I would I would really like him on
49:15the Saints because it would allow them versatility right like he could be the X he could also play inside though at
49:23times and that would allow Olave who I think is at his best from the slot to play there a lot more
49:31but you would just be able to move all the pieces around which I think is always a good thing is there
49:39a bona fide wide receiver one in this class I mean it doesn't feel like there's a guy I know Marvin Harrison
49:47hasn't panned out so far the way that we thought he would but it doesn't seem like there's a guy like that
49:55the guy that is just like oh yeah no this is this is the number one wide receiver right there's no there's
50:02no Malik neighbors there's no Justin Jefferson it just doesn't it feels like there's a lot of guys who can be really
50:10really good as a team's number two but it just I don't know if we've found that guy that's just like yeah
50:18this is this is the one I think for real life purposes I think Carnell Tay is undebatably the wide receiver one
50:26and that goes beyond of him being a threat on all three levels because out of this wide receiver class he's elite
50:34at run blocking and I think that's what more teams are looking for is he an all-around type of wide receiver because
50:41when you look at him when he contributes to the run blocking phase of wherever you know he goes they're gonna look
50:49at that it's like hey we're gonna want to run the ball ground and pound because he's gonna be able as a
50:57guy on the perimeter I mean again Sean McVay loves his wide receivers we're sitting at 13 if we could trade up
51:05and get ourselves a Carnell Tate then we're looking pretty pretty but I think more so undoubtedly he's the wide receiver one
51:13of this class yeah I mean I think he is but again it's not I guess when you hear conversations about the
51:21draft no I love Tyson I love Tyson but you know the red flags are gonna just be hesitant of the injury
51:28history with him and I think a lot of people are looking at that and probably don't want to spend that high
51:36investment so that's why I think Carnell Tate is the first wide receiver off the board in the draft it wouldn't surprise
51:44me if he's the first off the board doesn't mean he'll be the best like Malik neighbors is better than Marvin Harrison
51:52jr and Marvin Harrison was the first one draft and you you can paint that picture in that parallel as well where
52:00I can agree with you that Marvin Harrison Carnell Tate yeah obviously and then you were all in on Malik neighbors as
52:07the wide receiver one that year I will say I think it's 1A 1B like I I think Tate probably gets drafted
52:15first most more people think that he is the one but it to me I think these two one of the best
52:23receiver from this class I would be surprised if it's not one of these two I think there's a fall off after
52:31them go ahead you guys know how I feel about Mekhi I think he's I think he's I won't say he's being
52:39underrated right he's still considered one of the top three prospects in this draft so he's not underrated I just I just
52:47think it's a draft class that doesn't have a lot of sizzle that doesn't mean these guys are going to be bad
52:54there just isn't a ton of sizzle with him it's kind of like the now we look back on it like JSN
53:02but when that JSN Zay Flowers Quentin Johnston I forget who the fourth receiver Jordan Addison that receiver class we were like
53:10it's a lot of good not a lot of sizzle like you were saying and then JSN did this wrong and yeah
53:18he did but it feels like this is sort of there too as well at number 11 according to Charles Davis the
53:26Dolphins taking Kenyon Sadiq who for fantasy purposes seems like the only tight end that actually is going to get any run
53:34in real drafts in dynasty startup drafts rookie drafts what have you I have I'm assuming this is your guy out of
53:41this class out here because who else could it be starting to hear the chatter that maybe the athletic testing aside from
53:49the speed that maybe maybe we're a little too high on him that maybe he has bust potential I don't want to
53:57I don't want to I take no pleasure in saying this but that's as you would say that's what the fantasy streets
54:05are saying right now I think bust potential is fair because it's a tight end and I like the Dolphins fit I
54:13think he goes there he'll be the number one option obviously as of today what we see they have in their wide
54:20receiver room it's not as strong but I think if Sadiq goes there then we're going to get an immediately fantasy impact
54:28and I think honestly him demanding that target share we look at him as an athletic freak of what he's able to
54:36do he's essentially a big body wide receiver and you see these types like the John New Smiths the Ronday Gaskins to
54:44you know to all these other athletic tight ends that are able to get Chiggs I think that you know Sadiq fits
54:52in that category where he's going to make an impact in year one if he lands in a fairly target share a
55:00tight end friendly offense but when we have Malik Willis with only six starts and we have a very small sample size
55:07it's still that question mark of how much are they going to get out of Kenyon Sadiq how much value are these
55:15targets going to be because is this going to be an offense that's going to be more scoring opportunities than not because
55:23we're going to need touchdowns from him to be able to be a weekly starter I would think this feels like one
55:31of those picks Mike that it just doesn't seem like a good if we're just talking straight up football it just seems
55:39like not a great choice for the Dolphins in the sense of they have so many holes so many things he essentially
55:46will be replacing waddle but it's like no right a top 12 pick on a tight end when you have so many
55:54other needs right now it just feels like if they need a wide receiver yeah if they were to take one of
56:02Tate or Tyson I think we feel different about this pick I Davis but if the Dolphins were to do this what
56:10this would tell me is they think Sadiq is better than any of the league Willis so you need to give him
56:18weapons to give him a chance so I do think whatever they do at pick 11 is Willis maybe I'm like hey
56:26maybe get somebody to block for me like somebody who can protect me up front because it's so you remember when the
56:33Bengals had the option of Jamar Chase or Panay Sewell right y'all remember the offensive line in the middle like Kenyon City
56:41seems like a really great option but if it looks like the Titans offense last year where Cam Ward was like one
56:49two run Chuck like it doesn't quite hit the same I can I can make sense of this pick at 30 because
56:57they have two first round picks but at 11 and you take him off the board which still a Makai Lemon I
57:05don't think Sadiq is going to go as high as everybody thinks he is because again it's a tight end not many
57:12of these teams actually need a tight end they should do but Eli Stowers is the second tight end prospect and I
57:20think there's still a gap between him and Sadiq you know like I just don't see them taking him at 11 when
57:28you could possibly get him at 30 you boy it's Makai limited to the Panthers now look I know how you guys
57:36feel this is interesting I don't let you guys you just like the other two guys at him as a traditional ex
57:44they weren't using him to stretch out the fields I wrote that like I and maybe fantastic with the ball in his
57:52hands after the catch but I again it's not his fault but I wish we got to see him used a little
57:59bit more like a real number one on the Panthers though he guess my first thought here was like I get it
58:07and you want to surround Bryce Young with weapons and I think he makes them better but I goes away I think
58:15your feeling on Lemon and his usage is not wrong he was the guy they just we just want to get the
58:23ball downfield and so because of that you know it always comes back to the thing I say every year about one
58:31or two prospects just because we didn't see a guy do something doesn't mean that just treading water right now we're all
58:38expecting Aaron Rodgers is going to be the quarterback again this year the current wide receivers they have there in DK Metcalf
58:46and Michael Pittman like they're nice players but they don't necessarily blow you away we're not trying to pull them up the
58:54and I think with this deep wide receiver class there's going to be a lot of this there's going to be guys
59:02that we know that are talented that could probably do it and make a year one impact but there 2.0 vibes of
59:10his toughness his ability after the catch he's basically a running back in open space and those type of wide receivers you
59:18want to give them a chance an opportunity on the field to display this at a full time basis so like him
59:25landing in Pittsburgh it's like a downer kind of like you know rookie draft this is why we do rookie draft after
59:33the draft because I know some folks that are doing rookie draft next week just because they're itching to draft and I
59:41know again like Omar to me feels like he should be like hey man I might have a lot of Saints I'm
59:49very blatantly not if I draft a stealer you can rest assured that it'll be followed by this sound it's gonna be
59:57taking any of them like I don't there's not a single stealer that at Rico I villain right now like he's angry
60:04bro like he partly because he he thinks he's Le'Veon Bell but like I do think I think it's gonna be a
60:12lot like last year where maybe Warren is now the Kenneth Gainwell in this situation but they're gonna eat off each other's
60:20plates in a very annoying way DK and Pittman are gonna eat off of each other's plates and I don't trust that
60:28the passing attack is going to be much better than it was last year like I just want absolutely no and if
60:36they if you add I like Omar Cooper I do agree with LQ he's someone you kind of got to generate touches
60:44for I wrote Jaden Reed as one of the names while watching him but like if you could generate touches for him
60:51in Pittsburgh you'll be generating them for someone else's fantasy yeah so here's something interesting and I like I understand there's not
60:59a ton of value in depth charts this time of year because so many things can change but just looking at these
61:07Steelers depth chart on our lads they have Darnell Washington listed ahead of Pat Friermuth wow right is it because of the
61:15height is it because of the height he's a monster on wheels is what he is it's late March so whatever Mike
61:23McCarthy made Robert Tunyon fantasy relevant it's obviously not gospel but I just saw that as I was looking at the depth
61:30chart I'm like that's interesting wow so yeah that is our look at Charles Davis mock draft 3.0 again you can go
