Antonio Williams

PositiveUsage23:46

Antonio Williams is receiving positive reviews in camp for his quickness, but his outlook is complicated by the presence of Stefon Diggs. The source notes that while Williams looks the part, he is currently viewed as a net negative compared to other rookies like Stribbling who have clearer paths to targets due to teammate injuries.

Insight page

Caleb Douglas

PositiveSleeper44:02

Caleb Douglas has become a primary target in rookie drafts, with Welch's Fruit Snacks ranking him at 22. He is viewed as having a clear path to targets in the Miami offense, especially with Chris Bell injured and Douglas competing against Tolbert and Malik Washington. His 6'4", 4.3 speed profile and consistent camp performance make him a high-priority sleeper.

Insight page

Cyrus Allen

PositiveValue48:30

Cyrus Allen is generating significant buzz, leading Welch's Fruit Snacks to rank him at 34 with room to climb. He is viewed as a potential beneficiary if Xavier Worthy's shoulder injury persists, positioning him to compete for secondary or tertiary targets in the Kansas City offense.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

PositiveBreakout3:33

Denzel Boston has firmly planted himself in the same tier as Casey Concepcion and Jadarian Price. He is a high-quality prospect who is currently mispriced in dynasty formats. The source notes that Boston and Concepcion operate with different skill sets, making them a complementary duo that could significantly boost the Browns' offense if they receive adequate quarterback play.

Insight page

Deshaun Watson

NegativeRole5:20

Deshaun Watson is expected to start the season as the Browns' quarterback, representing the path of least resistance. While there is skepticism about his current form, the source suggests that the Todd Monken system might be a better fit for him than the previous Stefanski scheme, potentially allowing him to be 'good enough' to support the team's offensive weapons.

Insight page

Drew Allar

NegativeBust52:15

Welch's Fruit Snacks expresses significant doubt regarding Drew Aller, noting that the 'idea' of him as a player is better than his actual on-field performance. Despite some highlight-reel plays in practice, he has consistently failed to elevate his team, leading Welch's Fruit Snacks to keep him off draft boards unless he is available in the late fourth round.

Insight page

Eli Stowers

NegativeRole20:01

Eli Stowers has been moved down in rankings due to a lack of buzz and concerns about his role. He is currently a 'delay, not denied' prospect who needs to improve his blocking to earn consistent snaps. The source notes he is a dynamic mover but currently a liability in the run game, which limits his immediate field time.

Insight page

Haynes King

PositiveSleeper57:24

Haynes King is praised for his rushing upside and competitive nature. While he is a developmental prospect, Welch's Fruit Snacks suggests spending a fourth-round pick on him as a high-fun, high-upside stash, especially given the uncertainty surrounding Bryce Young's future in Carolina.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

NegativeUsage12:04

Jadarian Price is showing impressive movement skills and pass-catching ability in camp, but his fantasy outlook is clouded by the presence of Zach Charbonnet. The source expects a committee approach in the Seahawks backfield, noting that while Price has 'juice,' the coaching staff's historical reliance on a committee makes it difficult to project him as a workhorse.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

PositiveBreakout21:02

Jonah Coleman is a high-priority target due to his well-rounded profile, including toughness between the tackles and development as a pass catcher. He has shown impressive pass protection skills, notably against Sonny Styles, and is receiving significant positive camp reports, including one of the most impressive runs of camp alongside JK Dobbins.

Insight page
PositiveSleeper30:19

Jonah Coleman is receiving praise for his toughness and pass-catching ability, making him a strong dynasty prospect. While he may serve as an insurance policy for JK Dobbins initially, the source views him as a future bell-cow back. He is noted for his willingness to take tough yards between the tackles and his development in pass protection.

Insight page

Malachi Fields

NegativeProjection47:34

Malachi Fields has cooled off slightly after an initial hot start. While his athleticism metrics (40-yard dash) were disappointing, he tested well in agility drills. He is currently ranked 26th, just behind Caleb Douglas, with Welch's Fruit Snacks maintaining a consistent stance on his potential.

Insight page

Malik Benson

PositiveBreakout55:17

Malik Benson is earning first-team reps and is noted for his elite speed. Stylistically compared to Darnell Mooney, Benson could benefit from Kirk Cousins' presence in the Raiders' offense, which currently lacks depth behind Brock Bowers and Ashton Jensen.

Insight page

Nicholas Singleton

NegativeValue34:55

Nicholas Singleton possesses elite athleticism, but his lack of consistency and intangibles at the running back position make him a risky asset. While he can break off long runs, he faces competition from Tajay Spears and Tony Pollard, and his path to a significant role depends on development and potential injury to others.

Insight page

RJ Harvey

NegativeRole21:56

RJ Harvey is locked into a role as the primary pass-catching running back in Sean Payton's offense. While he may not be taking over the backfield as a bell cow, his reception floor remains attractive, and he is expected to be a viable piece in that specific role.

Insight page
NegativeUsage32:26

RJ Harvey is viewed as inefficient, often trying to bounce runs outside rather than taking tough yards between the tackles. The source notes that his 3.7 yards per carry, compared to JK Dobbins' 5.1, highlights his struggles, leading the team to seek out a more physical replacement in Jonah Coleman.

Insight page

Ted Hurst

PositiveBreakout24:04

Ted Hurst is surging in rankings, moving up to 12th overall, as he consistently wins at the catch point and fulfills the Buccaneers' need for an outside X-receiver. His unique skillset compared to Chris Godwin and Emeka Egbuka makes him a viable red-zone threat and a strong candidate to steal significant snap share.

Insight page

Zach Charbonnet

NegativeUsage13:32

Zach Charbonnet remains a significant factor in the Seahawks' backfield. The source believes the organizationally preferred committee approach will continue, which will likely 'muddy the waters' for Jadarian Price's fantasy production, even if Price is a talented player.

Insight page

Zachariah Branch

PositiveRole39:39

Zachariah Branch is gaining positive buzz as a consistent worker who offers an 'easy button' for an offense needing quick-hitting playmakers. His ability to operate in space and his work ethic have made him a player that can no longer be faded, as he could carve out a role regardless of his route-running development.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout42:30

After initial skepticism regarding his usage at Georgia, the consistent positive drumbeat from Falcons camp has forced a re-evaluation. Now ranked at 27, he is viewed as a potential tertiary option in the passing game alongside Drake London and Bijan Robinson, with the potential for 90-100 targets. His elite athleticism and return-game ability draw comparisons to Parker Washington and early-career Antonio Brown, making him a high-upside PPR asset.

0:27Back to school season can be tough on parents, but choosing a snack you and your kids can both get behind doesn't have to be.
0:35Stock up on Welch's Fruit Snacks, made with whole fruit, and now made with no artificial dyes.
0:40It's a snack kids already love, and one you can feel good about giving them.
0:44Go back to school with Welch's Fruit Snacks, now made with no artificial dyes.
0:48What is good? We're back, and we are going to talk about some rookies and the camp hype that they are putting down on wax.
0:56Obviously, it's a really exciting time of the year.
0:59This rookie class has been a little bit of a letdown as far as the community's opinion of it, but this is
1:05the time of year where guys can really get hyped up, and we're seeing it right now.
1:11So these late rookie drafts, I think there's going to be different guys to be excited about than version one of rookie drafts.
1:18So that's what we're going to do today. We're going to talk about who's been flying up our rankings, who maybe wasn't
1:24on our rankings and now has to get on there begrudgingly.
1:28So, hey, we're going to talk about the Browns.
1:30We're going to talk about the 49ers. We're going to talk about Teddy.
1:34We're going to talk about Jacoby Lane, Singleton, Branch, Douglas.
1:37We got a lot of stuff for you today.
1:40We're going to try to run through it all.
1:43Chev, how are you doing? Well, we didn't bury the lead.
1:46We just came right out and said it. There's people that we have to add to our list begrudgingly, and that's what we're going to do.
1:54So I'm on this side of the dirt and ready to admit that I might have been wrong about some stuff.
2:00Hey, that's what it is. Nobody's this is this is the best educated guess you can get.
2:05But let's kick it off. I'm going to kind of start from the top of my rankings and work down through the the hype here.
2:13Casey Concepcion and Boston, I think both are daily getting plenty of videos that are very, very positive.
2:19Now we know that the quarterback situation and the Browns as a whole has been something that's been pushing that down a little bit.
2:26But if we can just get okay quarterback play and this offensive line can be a little better than what we saw
2:32last year, they actually have a little bit of time to throw and improve the run game a little by not getting
2:39these backs hit the backfield so often. The future for what the Browns did in this draft feels like they just built
2:46a great foundation, and I think these two guys are going to be a really big part of it.
2:52I obviously had Casey Concepcion already up really high.
2:54I had him as the sixth player in super flex tight end premium, but I've since moved Denzel Boston right behind Jadarian
3:01Price up in the same tier as Casey Concepcion.
3:04So that was like my tier three Casey Concepcion and Jadarian Price and now Denzel Boston has firmly planted himself in there.
3:10I just think I think I think the Browns just hit it out of the park with these two players.
3:16And obviously, you know, again, we'll see what the QB situation is.
3:20They got a battle brewing. It seems like it's going to be Watson at least to start the season.
3:26That's going to be the path of least resistance.
3:29It's easier to put Shador in later than it is to start the season with Shador and go to Watson.
3:35Right. Um, which may be a good thing. Maybe maybe all the time has passed and the weight of the situation is
3:41kind of got off of Watson's shoulders. And maybe he returned and Munkin systems probably a little bit better fit than Stefanski's ever was for him.
3:49So we shall see. But thoughts on Boston and Casey?
3:52I mean, I I don't know if you saw, but I've been getting just death threats because I said that Casey could be discount Malik neighbors.
4:00Hmm. And I, you know, we've all we've been here the entire time talking about how good we think Casey is.
4:06And Denzel Boston was my wide receiver six in the class.
4:10And we had to. We done the thought exercise of, hey, how excited will we be if anyone else if anyone else drafted these two guys?
4:18Right. And it just so happens that an organization drafted two players that we like.
4:22And we now it just seems like to me for a while when no football was happening, it was gross and I don't like them.
4:30And it's and now they're back out on the field making things happen.
4:34And all of a sudden it's really good because they're really good football players.
4:38I love Casey. I love Denzel Boston. If they get above replacement level quarterback play, it's going to be a serious, serious boom for both of them.
4:46And this could not be the worst offense in the NFL just because you've upgraded from Megan Fox, them Jerry Judy.
4:52And, you know, we love said to him, but it just hasn't worked out outside of a three game stretch in over
4:5940 games in his career in a Browns uniform at this point.
5:03So it's it's troubling. It's troubling a bit that we have to do these.
5:07We have to. We have to do some mental gymnastics to get back to our evaluations on guys.
5:12But at the same time, don't overthink. They're really good at football.
5:16They've been performing really well at football and they're only going to grow.
5:20And if if it is Deshaun Watson, if he's not cooked and he can still deliver the ball down the field accurately,
5:27this is going to be really good. And they're way mispriced.
5:30Right. Right. And this is dynasty. And we're not we're not necessarily talking about redraft here.
5:35Like I'm probably not going super heavy on either one of them in redraft.
5:39Right. But in dynasty, we preach patience, have a little patience.
5:42The situation could be so different and be juicy by next year.
5:46As soon as that happened, you know, as quick as that.
5:49Right. And that's how the situation changes. I know it's Cleveland.
5:53I know the Jets put us in a situation, but the Jets offense, I think, is going to be a step above where we've been.
6:00So they do have Geno Smith, who I have at least a little bit of faith in right now.
6:06I don't have a great deal. I do love Shador.
6:09I think he can. I think he can do this at an NFL level.
6:13We just need to get, again, away from all the draft stuff and away from all all the you know, who his dad was.
6:21And was it this or was it that? And just let him go play football.
6:25And I think it'll be fine. And maybe he's their answer and they're going to find that out at some point during
6:32the season, unless Watson's lights out, which doubtful. But I think Watson could be good enough to produce.
6:37And so we shall see. But both of these guys, I think I had to move Boston up even further just because
6:44everything I've been seeing from and they're they're great because they operate completely different.
6:48Obviously, Casey's like my mold of how I like my receivers from the from the flowers to the burdens to the case.
6:55You know, those those are my type. I have a type.
6:58Yeah, you definitely have a type for sure. And it seems like the NFL agrees with your type.
7:04So who am I to disagree? Well, I just I feel like that's the way we've trended in the NFL.
7:10Those kind of guys seem like they've they've got, you know, the skill set to take advantage of how the game is being played right now.
7:18So they're they're they're a big mismatch. So one I wanted to touch on real quick and Jadarian price, mostly because, you
7:24know, get getting some love hard knocks, yada, yada, yada.
7:27But we're seeing the pass catching on display. Now, I do think the Sharbs thing is probably going to throw some water
7:34on this fire, but we don't have no idea really how this offense is going to operate because we've got a whole
7:41new system and person calling the offense. So I would temper expectations there because we don't even know if he can do it.
7:48But I do like Jadarian price a little bit more than you.
7:51And I'm just going to I want to touch on him here because I do have him in this tier with Casey in Boston.
7:59I think down the line, he's going to be a very good, productive player.
8:03I don't know if they'll let him be, you know, be a peacock this year or not.
8:08But have you changed and come around any bit on Jadarian price?
8:12Yes. My sentiment has been and remains once Zach Charbonnet is healthy, this is going to turn into a hellscape or for
8:18the Seahawks backfield, just like it was for Kenneth Walker.
8:21So everybody who's going to get mad in the comments, ask yourself right now today, do you think the Kenneth Walker?
8:28And if so, what makes you think that? And then why do you think that the coaching staff still gave Zach Charbonnet touches if he was that much?
8:36If Kenneth Walker was so far superior to, you know, Jadarian price or vice versa.
8:41But you get what I'm trying to say. What I'm saying is they have a proof of concept here where we're actively,
8:47they're actively utilizing a committee approach and we, it's, it's just a mess.
8:51But, but you do have, you do have a little bit of history on your side.
8:56It does seem like Jadarian price has the juice.
8:59Right. And that. Hey everybody. Roster reviews are now live on the FF dynasty.com.

9:39Visit homedepot.com. How doers get more done. This episode is brought to you by Welch's fruit snacks.
9:44Back to school season can be tough on parents, but choosing a snack you and your kids can both get behind doesn't have to be.
9:52Stock up on Welch's fruit snacks made with whole fruit and now made with no artificial dyes.
9:57It's a snack kids already love and one you can feel good about giving them.
10:01Go back to school with Welch's fruit snacks now made with no artificial dyes.
10:06I think that's more along the lines of like now that we're seeing it in in real time, like it's it's there.
10:12Like I love this movement skills. It seems like it's translating.
10:16You know, obviously Caleb Johnson was was my guy last year.
10:19It's not looking great for that call. So, you know, take take it for what it is.
10:24But I really like the movement skills of price.
10:27But I you know, there's so many unknowns to this and they seem to really like Charbonnet and they seem to be
10:33content with a with a, you know, a decent split of that backfield regardless because I'm with you.
10:39There's no way I can't see any way that Jadarian price is better than Kenneth Walker coming out now in a year or two.
10:46I don't think so. Right. And they were content with doing it.
10:50Now they are bringing a different the 49ers tight end coach is coming over here.
10:54So we don't know exactly how he's going to break this backfield up.
10:58We could be completely wrong. It could be the Jadarian price show from day one and they let Sharbs walk next year.
11:05He comes back and just spells him a little bit.
11:08I don't think that's going to happen. It seemed like the organizationally they really like Charbonnet and I think they'll get a
11:15little bit of a discount on them. And I think he'll stay right there and probably mud in the waters for a little while.
11:22It doesn't mean Jadarian price can't be good. I think if he was in a different class, he would be down the pecking order a little bit.
11:30But first round draft capital and to a team that we like with a good defense.
11:35You know, I don't hate it. I don't mind them being up here.
11:39I decide this is where I think you kind of have to rank them at this point.
11:44But I'm not pulling the trigger a ton on him if I have that pick there.
11:49No, and I do have them in the same tier.
11:52So the tier was I'm moving it around as we speak here.
11:56The tier was it was Casey Jadarian price, Kenyon Sadiq and Denzel Boston with Eli Stowers in there.
12:01Had to move Eli Stowers down because he's just generated zero buzz whatsoever.
12:05And it does look like it's going to be a more more of a delay, not denied.
12:10They're going to have to let Dallas Goddard walk next year.
12:13And then he's going to have to go into the lab and really do some soul searching about what type of player he wants to be.
12:21And if he wants to put his big boy pants on and block or if they're going to move the offense and
12:28change the offense around so that he can be so that he can be a more functional part of the offense.
12:34But we just haven't heard anything. So, yeah, he was a little banged up through early camp.
12:40And now I think he's back. But again, like you said, we haven't seen a ton out of him.
12:45I mean, maybe they even bring Goddard back for another year.
12:49I still still like the player a good bit, but sorry.
12:52Go ahead. No, I mean, I just that was the point is just, yeah, it is going to be more of a
12:59projection than it is him just going out there and being able to utilize the skill set.
13:04When with the skill set that we that we saw on film.
13:07I mean, he is a he is a really, really dynamic mover at the tight end position.
13:13But much like the the popular refrain that's become with a Rondae Gadsden, he's just a zero in the in the run blocking game.
13:20Currently, correct. And that's what that's what keeps you all.
13:23That's what keeps you off the field. I mean, you see more and more people say no block, no rock.
13:29So it puts you in a kind of puts you in a bind when we're talking about guys getting snaps.
13:35Now, this is the new NFL. There were 50.
13:38There were. Excuse me. Tight ends that lined up in the slot over 50 percent of the time.
13:43There were 13 of them last year that that garnered over 50 targets.
13:47So this is a different is a different brand of football than what we're used to.
13:52And I think people haven't really adjusted to that yet.
13:55Right. Right. Yeah. No, I mean, I think it can't be a liability, but I think there is something to be said
14:02for these bigger wide receivers or bigger tight ends who are kind of a little bit more like wide receivers and create
14:08just a mismatch in a good offensive scheme. Right.
14:11So I had Boston below those guys in tight end premium, but I have now bumped him up.
14:16That's where Boston is now in the in the third tier with Bryson Concepcion.
14:21So keeping it moving here, I think the next guy I would have ranked the highest would be Stribbling.
14:26He hasn't really moved because I've been I've had him consistently up here, but Antonio Williams obviously got digs for a year,
14:33but everything we're seeing with Antonio Williams and I'm only talking about him because I'm right now.
14:38I want to ask if I if I should be moving Strib ahead of Antonio Williams and your opinion or not.
14:45But basically everything we're seeing from Antonio Williams is super positive.
14:48He looks the party looks super quick in and out of things, but Stribbling is is just seeming like more and more
14:55that he's going to have a role with San Francisco and we trust everything that goes on in San Francisco a lot
15:01more than we trust anything going on in in Washington.
15:04You know, generally throughout the history of time, I think that that's changing.
15:08Kind of to the point of, you know, the Browns and the Jets a little bit, but I have kept Stribbling at 14.
15:15I'm wondering if I should move him up one more spot to potentially over Antonio Williams.
15:20I don't quite think I'm ready to throw him over Omar Cooper, but I may be ready to throw him over Omar Cooper.
15:27What do you think with Stribbling? Just everything's so glowing out of what he has and I feel like they or what Stribbling has been doing and contributing.
15:36Obviously, it was a little banged up came back yesterday or today and again got some good remarks.
15:41So very positive on him. I got Strib at 14.
15:44I think I could juggle this around and drop potentially Omar Cooper into this tier and maybe move Stribbling up into the Omar Cooper spot.
15:52What are your thoughts here on the Stribbling situation?
15:54I've got Stribbling at 17 and I mean, if you if you want to move him up just because I mean, that's
16:01right now he would still be behind Eli Stowers.
16:04So I think I have to move him up to at least above Eli Stowers.
16:08I can't I'm not strong enough, not strong enough to move him above Ted Hurst just because of my priors.
16:14I got it. I've got some priors that I want to hold on to for dear life.
16:20But I I like everything that I've heard. We know that they have they typically do have a very, very detailed and
16:26good plan when they especially when they drive, when they bring rookies in.
16:30And there's no outside of this. You know, Mike Evans is on a three year deal.
16:35Christian Kirk, I believe, got a one year deal.
16:38Pearsall is done for the year. Right. You run out of you run out of bodies, brother.
16:43Right. Well, that's the biggest thing of like a net negative for Williams with digs, a net positive for Stribbling with Pearsall.
16:50Right. So that that just leads me to, hey, let's I like both of those players equally.
16:55But if I'm drafted now, I don't think Stribbling's making it out of the first round in a lot of drafts.
17:01I think I think I think you got to bump Omar Cooper down a little bit.
17:06Still really like the player, but I just moved Strib up above Stowers in tight end premium, still below Sadiq.
17:12Obviously, he's injured right now, too. So that tier four, I moved him up into tier four at the 10th overall player.
17:19Again, you know, I'm a Niners guy. I try not to let the any sort of bias get in the way.
17:25But when you're seeing all sorts of glowing reviews and like what his body of work is and can be seems to
17:32fit really well with what the 49ers want to do.
17:35And we've lost Pearsall Evans is, you know, sitting out.
17:38He hasn't played a full season. And, you know, God knows how long Kirk doesn't play full seasons.
17:43Right. So like Stribbling could honestly be, you know, leaned on quite a bit in the rookie year.
17:49So I'm moving him up to 10 right now.
17:51I don't mind that at all. I mean, at least it's a way to to feel like your investment is somewhat protected.
17:58The first pick of the second round in an offense that we love.
18:02I just recently put a bet down for Brock Purdy.
18:05Brock Purdy to lead the league in touchdown passes and plus 2000 for him to win MVP.
18:10So I think Stribbling could play a huge part in that if we're being totally honest with each other.
18:16Yeah. Yeah, I agree. All right. Let's keep it moving.
18:19Jonah Coleman's been getting a lot of praise. We all have, you know, kind of said a lot about this Broncos backfield.
18:26I don't know how much even with a lot of praise, like I don't know how much we'll see him without an injury.
18:33I'm sure he'll mix in. We'll get some Peyton can be particularly stingy with how he deploys his running backs.
18:39I mean, Mark Ingram was great for so long and we saw, you know, how he just, you know, hey, when we
18:45keep this in the back pocket, we're going to use him this way or this way.
18:50And then eventually that that that dog got out of the cage and it was ridiculous for a little while.
18:56And I think Jonah Coleman's career is going to be awesome.
19:00And maybe he's just so undeniable. He's still my 15th ranked player.
19:03I have no problem taking him with anywhere around that one turn right now in rookie drafts.
19:08I love having him. I want him. He's a good.
19:11I like them coming out. I like the profile.
19:14I like everything about him. I think he's a bell cow.
19:17I'm excited for him and Harvey to be the one to punch of this team moving forward at some point.
19:23But I think as long as Dobbins is there, Jonah Coleman seems to be the, at least in my opinion, what would be the insurance policy for them?
19:32And I think, I think they've got a great, a great rate with somebody like Jonah Coleman on their, on their insurance there.
19:39So. Yeah, absolutely. This, this has been kind of a hand in glove, hand in glove fit between what he does well
19:46and what they wanted from RJ Harvey. If you know about RJ, if you watch RJ Harvey in college, you broke down
19:52his film, like the notes all have it. He just tries to bounce too many runs.
19:57He was inefficient behind what is ranked as one of the best, if not the best offensive line in the entire NFL.
20:04And JK Dobbins at 5.1 to carry RJ Harvey's at 3.7.
20:07So you go out and you get somebody else that could replicate a lot of that toughness and willingness to just dig
20:14in and grab the tough yards between the tackles that RJ Harvey struggled.
20:18And you ultimately saw their downfall because they couldn't establish any sort of running game against the Patriots last year.
20:24So this is, this is the replacement for JK Dobbins.
20:27I think if JK Dobbins gets hurt, they can get out of this deal for just one, you know, after one year for $8 million.
20:34So then you enter into a timeshare where again, he's getting the high value touches.
20:39So I have him at 17 right now. I bumped him down.
20:43I bumped him down just a little bit, just because I didn't know what it would look like.
20:48And I did, I do like RJ Harvey. I, and I thought that this would be a scenario where you might have
20:55to wait and let your pick incubate for a little bit, a little bit of time before you get to get the payoff.
21:02But I liked Jonah Coleman. He was all of the things that you say about a good running back.
21:07You, you find, and it's in his profile in spades.
21:10So he's tough between the tackles. He's a developed pass catcher.
21:14He understands what his role is and what that, what that means for the team.
21:18He's like, dude, running backs make $2 million a year.
21:21Why on earth would I think that I'm more important than protecting for Bo Nix?
21:26So he's got the pass protection that he's trying to work through.
21:30And that's on his film too. He will absolutely, he lit Sonny Styles up in a pass protection prep that just sticks
21:36out of my brain all the time. So all of these things are bullish signal for Jonah Coleman.
21:42And if you're following the camp reports, I know there's some people who swear off camp reports.
21:47I think that that's really dumb and hence why we're here with this episode.
21:51But he had one of the most impressive runs of camp along with JK Dobbins.
21:56You're not hearing a lot of positives about RJ Harvey.
21:59It's more like, Hey, he could carve out a role as the third down guy.
22:03That's not typically what I want to hear with a guy that I really hear.
22:08Here's the thing. Like, you know what his role is right now.
22:11Like he's the pass catching running back and Sean Payton's offense.
22:15He was very good at it. That's it. I just, I don't think there's any way that they're just going to be
22:21like, we just saw from a rookie RJ Harvey who was excellent at certain parts of the game.
22:27And yes, struggled when called upon to be the bell cow for stretches of the games.
22:32There was other games where he was fine grinding some, some games out through the tackles.
22:37Uh, obviously, you know, if you follow this group, you know, that he hasn't been playing running back all that long.
22:43Like he was so good as a pass catcher.
22:46There are no, there's no way you're putting that genie back in the bottle.
22:50He's electric in space. I think he's great for this offense.
22:53I can't imagine RJ heart. Like I'm okay with RJ Harvey, not having a ton of positive feedback right now, because that's not really what would be going.
23:02Like they're trying to see what they have in Coleman.
23:05They're running, you know, they're running the offense. I feel like the role for Harvey is just, it's, it's bookmarked.
23:11We're good. I'm, I'm fine with it. Is it, is he coming in and taking over the backfield?
23:16Like maybe we thought could be possible. No, but what we did, the whole reason that he was really attractive was because
23:23there's this reception floor for running backs and Sean Payton's offense.
23:26And he's going to soak a lot of those up and he didn't do anything last year, but prove that he is
23:33well-deserved to be a pass catching running back in a Sean Payton offense.
23:37So that's the way I would frame that one up and, and, you know, unless Coleman's undeniable, then maybe Harvey will get
23:44even less time, but I think Harvey's going to be fine.
23:47Generally, I'd be buying the dip on him and I'm buying Coleman everywhere I can.
23:51Cause I like, I like him a lot too.
23:54So, um, and we're just gonna be patient and wait around in, in dynasty here.
23:59So, um, let's keep it moving here. Let's go over to, to, to Ted Hurst, old Teddy Pendergrass Hurst here.
24:05Um, if you don't know him by now, you know, that's a quality reference.
24:09You will never, never, never, never, never know. All right.
24:12Um, all Marvin and the blue notes. Yeah, let's go.
24:15Um, all right. But Ted Hurst has been coming up with some big catches, basically showcasing exactly what he was.
24:21At least we thought he could be brought into the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to do and give them that true outside presence
24:28that they now lost with Mike Evans through, you know, forever, how long he was there.
24:33And obviously Godwin's on the back nine of his career.
24:36They've done a great job, you know, surrounding this team with a great receiver room.
24:40They're really good at drafting receivers. It seems like Tess Johnson, even getting spots last year was good.
24:46Jalen McMillan's always good when he gets a chance.
24:48Like egg Bucca was one of the best rookies we'd seen through five, six games last year.
24:54Right. So they're, they're pretty good at this and it seems like they did it again.
24:58Um, I haven't really moved Teddy up at all.
25:01Cause I already had him at 18. Um, but I do, I do think at this point I, I may, I may
25:08have to give him the, I go, I love Jeremy Bernard.
25:11So I had him one spot higher. I may have to slide Ted up one spot there.
25:16Um, you know, maybe like Chris bell, we knew was hurt.
25:20I have him at 16. Does he just slide because we're getting a lot of positivity here?
25:25I know some people didn't like him. I thought he's, he has an opportunity to, to really carve out a big role, um, in Miami.
25:32I don't know when that'll be, but we knew that it was probably going to be a little bit of a slower
25:39start from him coming off a later ACL tear.
25:42So, um, that would be, you know, he hasn't done anything to get bumped down, but Teddy's surge here has me wondering
25:48if maybe I should at least, but I can't, I'm not going to take Teddy over Jonah Coleman.
25:54I'm taking Jonah Coleman every time I'm taking Antonio Williams every time.
25:57Uh, but after that, it comes down to Chris bell, Ted Hurst and Jeremy Bernard.
26:02I'm, I'm in a little bit of a tough choice there.
26:05Um, and I know from your end, you're, you're probably going to Hurst over all of them, right?
26:11Yeah. So at one point or another, I, you have to take like Antonio Williams is in a totally different space than Ted Hurst.
26:18And so you could take Ted, you could take Antonio Williams early second round.
26:22And if you had another, you could trade back into the back of the second round and get Ted Hurst.
26:28Cause people were like, well, traditionally those small schools who go, who go to places, they typically don't work out.
26:34And so I'm out on Ted Hurst without ever watching him play a single down a football.
26:40And he had a very translatable skillset and the bucks had a need that he is now fulfilling in spades.
26:46So we'll see how this continues to progress. He's, he's winning at the catch point, which is what he's done.
26:52Right. That's, that was the calling card. That was what got me really excited.
26:56You have a type Casey and I have a type and Ted Hurst is my type of guy.
27:01Yeah. So we're seeing it show up day after day, another day, another play for Ted Hurst.
27:07And I've got him, I've moved him up to 12.
27:10He's one spot ahead of Deshaun scribbling. He's two spots ahead of his two spots ahead of Antonio or Eli Stowers.
27:16And I have him three spots ahead of Antonio Williams.
27:19And that closes out that tier. So I think that I've said this time and time again, I think that he wins.
27:26He wins that job as the X receiver because of the unique skillset that he brings to comparatively to Emeka Ibuka and,
27:32and Chris Godwin, who we've seen be much more effective in the slot.
27:36So that's kind of, that's kind of the rub.
27:39That's the issue is you've seen these guys be effective when, when Emeka had to be the X, it, it not saying
27:46that he can't, but he was also dealing with Baker Mayfield being hurt.
27:50I think they're going to end up moving them around the formation, but there could be a huge snap share.
27:56And I think he could definitely steal some touches and be very viable in the red zone.
28:01So I can't help, but to be excited about Ted Hurst and everything that we've seen through camp so far.
28:07Now that football's happening now that you have to actually like, why the things that we said are translating are translating.
28:13So excited to get into the preseason and see exactly how far this goes.
28:18Yeah. Right now, get up to 15% off select storage solutions.
28:21Put heavy duty HDX totes to good use, protecting what's important to you.
28:25The solid impact resistant design prevents cracking and the clear base and sides make items easy to find even when the totes are stacked.
28:32Find select shelving and tote storage up to 15% off at the Home Depot to organize every room in your home from your garage to your attic.
28:40Visit homedepot.com. How doers get more done. This episode is brought to you by Welch's Fruit Snacks.
28:45Back to school season can be tough on parents, but choosing a snack you and your kids can both get behind doesn't have to be.
28:53Stock up on Welch's Fruit Snacks, made with whole fruit and now made with no artificial dyes.
28:58It's a snack kids already love and one you can feel good about giving them.
29:03Go back to school with Welch's Fruit Snacks, now made with no artificial dyes.
29:07Yeah, I love it. All right. One of the other big movers right now all over the place.
29:12We're seeing Jacoby Lane. I got him at 19.
29:15He shot up from the back of the second here for me all the way up to 19.
29:21So probably like, I don't know, five, six spots already.
29:24I don't think he's going to jump any higher.
29:26I do have a tear break between the Ted Hurst and the Jeremy Bernards and then a tear break coming in with Jacoby Lane.
29:34Now, depending on what the play out of Bateman is this year, it could be a lot.
29:39We could see a lot of Lane early and often.
29:42He's making the big catches that, you know, made him just like you were talking about with Hurst, made Lane attractive as a prospect coming out.
29:50And he does give them, you know, a bigger bodied receiver and a bigger bodied target to kind of, hey, you could
29:56we could throw it up to him here and there.
29:59So a lot of great catches on film through camp so far for Lane.
30:04Got to be a big riser for a lot of people.
30:07I think a lot of people were disinterested with that landing spot, whether they like Surratt or him.
30:12Look, they might have hit it with both of those guys.
30:16I think Surratt's probably going to be a probably a pretty good player as well.
30:20But Lane is going to be somebody who moves up boards because of spectacular things.
30:25And that's just kind of how he operates. Right.
30:28With this big wingspan and these big jump balls in this, you know.
30:31So I don't know. Give me your impression on on Lane.
30:35Like I said, I got him up at up to 19 right now.
30:39But that's probably about where he's going to max out unless something crazy happens.
30:43If he becomes the number two starter, I guess I would have to jump him into this into the next tier up here.
30:50Yeah, I can't fault. I can't fault you for that.
30:53I'm in the same. I'm in the same boat.
30:56We talked about it on the episode. You said that you were kind enough to not crush me because I had moved
31:02him way down after after the draft. I he was my wide receiver eight for the draft.
31:08And then he landed him and Elijah Surratt, who we both really, really like the skill set.
31:13I didn't like landing in Baltimore because there's too many.
31:16There's too many. There's too many. There's not enough chairs.
31:19There's too many wide receivers. And to borrow the adage from me, if you got two quarterbacks, you got none.
31:25If you got seven wide receivers, not all of them are going to be good.
31:29I like Rashad Bateman coming out of college. I like Elijah Surratt.
31:33I like what the potential skill set of Devontae Walker.
31:36So it was just like we're we're fighting for our lives to get Zay Flowers to 130 targets.
31:41And if I'm fighting to get to 130 for him, where am I going to get meaningful targets for for Jacoby Lane
31:48to come in and play and be useful? And I just.
31:51But now, again, football's happening. He's making us look like idiots.
31:55I've moved him back into the tier with Jonah Coleman and Jeremy Bernard.
31:59It's a three man tier there. And if your rookie draft's coming up, he's going to be one of the hottest ticket items out there.
32:06He was a free space in the third round.
32:09We've always said third round, get your guy season.
32:12And I was bypassing him because I was like, man, this really stinks.
32:16I don't like him being in Baltimore, but he's becoming undeniable every single day.
32:20I got to go find the quote. So I would love to I would love to be able to not paraphrase here.
32:27But basically from the spring, they've been like, hey, this we really like him.
32:31Let's see what let's just let's just throw a little bit.
32:34Let's throw a little bit more at him gradually.
32:37And then he's just passed every single one of the tests to the point where they're like, all right, well, let's just
32:44throw on the ball and see what happens. Let's just give him a chance.
32:48Yeah. And they haven't had that level of ball winner in Baltimore or that style of receiver.
32:53You had older DeAndre Hopkins, who was really efficient on about 25 routes a game.
32:58You know, whenever they would throw the ball, I think he had 33 targets across 17 games last year.
33:03But you haven't had that style of guy that just kind of changes the math of you can do everything right.
33:10He could just do some he can just do some crazy Spider-Man shit because he's four.
33:15He's six four with a 40 inch vertical running four, four.
33:18And you just get out of luck when it comes to trying to stop Jacoby Lane.
33:23So this could be their answer. I was looking at some Mark Andrews stuff earlier.
33:27And I mean, I just unfortunately, I think that he's just absolutely hooked.
33:31So they're going to be looking for a new answer in the red zone.
33:35So this is what is it to me. This from in Lamar's tenure has been a concentrated offense to, you know, like
33:42two to two and a half targets for, you know, there's one main guy.
33:46And it's either the tight ends or it's been flowers coming on and the tight ends kind of dissipating and then likely has been shipped off.
33:54We'll see what, you know, he can do. And like you said, Andrews, we'll see if he can bounce back.
34:00But now we're probably looking for that second guy in this offense.
34:04And maybe it's a little slow. Maybe Bateman. And I think Bateman is a good player.
34:09We shall see. But we have a different OC in town.
34:12So we could see the way this target distribution and the way they run their offense completely change.
34:18And Lane could be a big part of that.
34:20Declan Doyle comes in. He goes and attacks two receivers who play the position very differently.
34:25And so, you know, Lane's showing out right now.
34:28So that could be huge. If Doyle can do this thing, then we have to be invested in the Ravens receiving core.
34:35Because if Doyle is going to come in here and give a little Sean Payton and a little Ben Johnson life to
34:41this offense, then it's going to be an offense we want to have more than just one piece or one and a
34:48half pieces that we've traditionally been interested in Baltimore.
34:51So I like everything he said there. Let's move over to Nicholas Singleton.
34:55I got two guys here that are going to be a bummer of a conversation for you.
35:00I got Nicholas Singleton and I got Branch. Now, I have Branch and Singleton basically ranked very similarly.
35:05The part that kills me with Singleton is like I liked him and I was like, hey, this guy's going to bounce back.
35:12People are going to love him when the combine comes.
35:15Then he hurt his foot. You didn't really see him.
35:18And then all of a sudden he was just going in like first rounds sometimes of rookie drafts early.
35:24And I was like, man, just Tony Pollard and Spears are just they're good players and they're going to fend him off
35:31long enough that I think the stock price will dissipate.
35:34I think it's dissipated a little bit, but now we're getting, you know, some good positive feedback from Singleton.
35:39And look, if everything's right for Singleton and he can pop pop the hole, then he's going to look good.
35:45He was at one point he like if he would have came out a year ago, he would have been in the
35:52conversation for a first or second round running back.
35:55People loved him and then just had a dreadful year.
35:58K-Tron Allen kind of took over, took his role kind of like more like he was.
36:03He's like a more Montgomery type of player, just does everything well, but isn't flashy, whereas Singleton was very flashy.
36:09The underrated part of Singleton's game is his pass catching.
36:12But I think Tajay Spears and Pollard are both great pass catchers, which is why I thought they would just tamp him down.
36:19And I think we will. Unless we see injury, I'm pretty sure they're going to keep him down enough.
36:25But I just I couldn't be into the first round Singleton.
36:28Hey, you get past a couple of those receivers named Stribb and Antonio Williams.
36:32If you want to take Singleton, I don't really have a problem with it because it is dynasty.
36:38Right. But I'll let you as you're wearing the Titans hat, give a little Singleton and then we'll move to branch.
36:44Then we'll kind of rapid fire our way out of here.
36:47It's the it's the crazy athleticism that would have if he was he was healthy at the combine.
36:53This is probably going to be a guy who goes day to be slides because we don't see the best version of
36:59Nick Singleton in 2025 with Penn State Nittany Lions.
37:02And now the scrimmage we talked about before the show started, we talked about the scrimmage that Titans had on Friday night
37:09where he scored what would have been like a 60 yard touchdown.
37:12Now, the note is that they blew him dead about 20 yards down the field.
37:17But generating 20 yard runs is nothing to sneeze at.
37:20Sure. The athleticism is there in spades. It's just that all the intangibles that you have to have to be a good running back.
37:27They come and go. It's not consistent. And that's the best way to not earn touches and snaps is for the outcome
37:34to be a variable, a massive variable whenever they let you touch the football in the men's league.
37:39So I have trouble. I have I've had trouble with Nick Singleton.
37:43I acknowledge that if it hits, this is one of the ones.
37:47It's an absolute new. And that's what people that's what people have convinced themselves of stylistically with the with like the runway
37:53style running where if you give him a lane, he's gone.
37:57It reminds you a little bit of the way Caleb Johnson would break off runs.
38:01But in terms of athleticism, this dude is an absolute freak.
38:05And he would have been I was hoping that he came out last year.
38:09Fortunately, unfortunately, he did. He did not. And he cost himself a ton of money, in my opinion.
38:14And so it's good to see him. Hopefully he can continue down this path, develop some consistency.
38:19I mean, now that he's on the Titans, I'm going to be rooting for him to figure this thing out between the
38:26years because physically there aren't like this is the closest thing to say one that they've had.
38:31But it's just that the intangibles of playing the position are something that he doesn't have a firm grasp.
38:37Right. And I think that kind of played itself out throughout the course of his college career.
38:42You started to see some holes in the game develop where the vision maybe wasn't there.
38:47The consistency of what you need to do down in, down out for a running back kind of started to slip a little bit.
38:54And that was, again, you know, look in Dynasty Spears is on a contract year.
38:59Tony Pollard's older, but was very good last year.
39:02And I think the part that that was bothering me is people were just acting like Tony Pollard wasn't good on in a terrible situation last year.
39:10And that Singleton was going to have a chance to just walk in here and be the guy.
39:15And I just, I didn't see that. I still don't really see that.
39:19But in a long-term view, injuries happen, things happen.
39:22They could trade Tashi Spears, you know, and say, hey, we're not going to pay him anyway or whatever.
39:28And, you know, Singleton could have a big role this year.
39:31So right now I got him right at about 20 or 21 between him and Branch.
39:36Let's kick it over to Branch here. My God.
39:39Getting, you know, a lot of positive buzz. Because now we'll see if Zaccheaus and Jahan Dotson can kind of, you know,
39:45eliminate him a little bit year one. But I think the thing with Branch that has been interesting to me is like
39:52he just, he does seem like an easy button on the offense that they don't really have anybody who could play.
39:58Kind of what his skill set could be of like, let's just get the ball out quick and get it in his hands and let him operate.
40:06Whereas nobody else on their team really does that or at least wasn't doing that.
40:11And so he could come in right away and add a wrinkle to kind of what they're doing, which I find very interesting.
40:18Whether it's Penix or Tua, you know, TBD. I almost like it better if it's Tua to say, hey, let's just let's
40:25get the ball in his hands and see what can happen.
40:28So I've got, like I said, I've got him at 20 right now.
40:32Now I did, he was an end of the second round.
40:35I was a little higher generally than you and coach were just because for the reason that I was saying is like,
40:42he just, there's a skill set there that, you know, he doesn't need to be a route running savant year one to
40:49find his way to path, to get him some touches, to see the coaching staff say, hey, let's put the ball in
40:55this exciting guy's hands and see what happens. So thoughts on Zachariah Branch right now, Shev?
41:00It's been consistent. And one of the things that I missed in my evaluation of just looking at the player and looking
41:07at the situation is that he's a consistent worker.
41:09That's, that's kind of, that's what I, when we talk about, when I talk about the intangibles of a player, I talk
41:16about the intangibles of playing running back with Nick Singleton.
41:19You talk about the things that make you, that are going to make or break success in the men's league.
41:25It's, it's the extra work and everybody by all accounts going back to his time at Georgia.
41:30And that's, I missed during the evaluation because I was like, man, I, I don't like the way that he was used.
41:37I don't like the fact that he, he was asked to take, you know, to grow and come on, you know, to develop as a player.
41:45And his answer was to transfer. And then immediately the guy who replaces him wins the bullet, Nick off.
41:51So the only way at Georgia for him to get the ball was to use him basically as a glorified running back
41:57and just throw him 55 screen targets. And so I was out, but all throughout, all throughout mini camp, rookie mini camp, then you get to OTAs.
42:06Then you get to mandatory mini camp with all the players there.
42:09It's just been consistent drum beat for Zachariah branch.
42:12So I'm at a point now where it would be irresponsible for me to tell you guys, Hey, I, I am fading Zachariah branch.
42:19I don't have him as high as you did, but I moved him up to 27.
42:24And I think I might have a deal. Cause you had them, you had them real low.
42:29I had him, I had him just inside the top 40, which was like 38.
42:34I had, I had Cyrus Allen ahead of him.
42:36And that was, I mean, I just, I love Cyrus Allen.
42:40I love Cyrus Allen. You know, I've been on this since the senior bowl, but Zachariah branch has really impressed me with
42:46the consistency of what everyone around the Falcons organization is saying about him.
42:50And if they are going to, if they are going to make him the third, the third primary in the offense, or
42:57I guess he would be a tertiary option at that point, you know, linguistics, whatever.
43:02But if he go, if it goes in the passing operation, Drake, London, B.
43:06John Robinson, Zachariah branch, that could mean 90 to a hundred targets.
43:09And this is a guy who has ridiculous athleticism for three, five.
43:13And you see, he is a electric punt returner and kick returner.
43:17So you want guys like that, that we talked about.
43:20I've talked about that with Parker. Watch why I love Parker Washington so much.
43:24That's why you like guys like that was Antonio Brown's calling card before he turned into one of the best receivers of a generation.
43:31I'm not saying that's where that's headed, but when those guys have that, that ability to create after the catch, it just
43:38gets, you can rack up yards and fantasy points and PPR goodness in spades.
43:42So I have to capitulate a little bit. We've talked about Zachariah branch enough.
43:46I'm going to take a breath. Maybe I'm going to cry a little bit after this, but I have to do it.
43:53Hey, this is, this is what it's all about though.
43:56I like it. So Singleton and branch moving up lane, moving up.
44:00I think another guy that's moved up my rankings.
44:02I liked them a good bit. Jeremiah brought him to the show.
44:06And when he first joined maybe in like February, but we got Caleb Douglas here who is my, let's see.
44:12I got them probably irresponsibly high right now. I got them at 22.
44:16I got them ahead of Malachi fields. I got ahead of Skylar.
44:20I got them ahead of Surat. I got them ahead of a Jolie.
44:24I got to have a Delp. This guy's the drumbeat is just consistently been building for him.
44:29He was a little injured. But every time I turn around, there's there.
44:33And this is the big thing here is, is, you know, not a lot has to happen for him to be consistently a player year one for Miami.
44:41Right. He has to beat out Tolbert, which, you know, whatever Malik Washington.
44:45I don't think he's getting beat out. I think he's going to be a part of that offense.
44:51Right. And then Chris Bell's injured right now. So he's not, you know, out there necessarily competing.
44:56So Caleb Douglas is just give somebody. He's got an opportunity to go out there and be the number one, number two,
45:03number three offense in this offense immediately and build a rapport with Malik Willis.
45:07And he just keeps showing up and showing out.
45:09So I've moved him. I had him as my favorite sleeper.
45:13He's probably my most owned player through all the rookie drafts I've done.
45:17Now, maybe getting harder and harder. But recently, we just finished up Pleasure Town, which is one of the OG FFD leagues that we have.
45:24And I've in any third or fourth round. And I have the opportunity.
45:28I'm consistently just sending offers, cheap offers, you know, next year's fourth or whatever it is to get in the spot of where wherever or, you know, grab.
45:37You know, I think in this last one, we traded like four, nine and a 27 fourth to move up to like four, two to grab Caleb Douglas.
45:45Actually, we ended up grabbing Cyrus Allen because he was there, too, and then traded back in with another 27 fourth.
45:52We had a little later because Caleb hung around for like four, 10 and grabbed both of them.
45:57So we ended that draft in the fourth round with Jolie, Douglas and Cyrus Allen, which I couldn't be more excited about a fourth round, you know?
46:05Yes. Oh, so I got Cyrus. I got Douglas everywhere.
46:08So maybe that's, you know, maybe I'm wish casting here, but I've been loving what I'm seeing.
46:13A big electric good mover. Right. And so I've been loving it.
46:1722 right now. Hi. Hi. Listen, I'm only a few spots behind you.
46:21I've moved him up. I had him at early in early in camp.
46:25I think Jeremiah and I were talking. I was like, I got to move him up.
46:30I've got to move him up. And then I just I started seeing names and start thinking about the we start thinking about the opportunity.
46:37And this is a day to pick the first receiver that they actually drafted.
46:42Right. And he's six, four. He's four, three. He's got the athleticism and a very clear path to target.
46:47So you can fade that at your own risk.
46:50And in doing his evaluation, there's a lot of things that you're seeing consistently show up for him.
46:56So, yeah, I've moved him up to 25. I think that might be a little bit.
47:00I think that might be just appropriate based on all of the disappointment that we've had with a lot of the a lot of the landing spots.
47:09This is this is one of the most painful drafts because we like a lot of these guys.
47:14And then they go to places where you can't predict.
47:17You can't at least you know, you're not going to be able to see what you want to see from them to confirm your biases in year one.
47:26Right. Right now. So I wanted to mention him on this one of them.
47:30Well, let's let's roll through the back end of this thing a little quicker here.
47:34You mentioned Malachi Fields. Get a little love. Yeah.
47:37Have you moved him up at all? Kept him pretty consistent thoughts on him or stay moving, stay consistent.
47:43I started hot and then cooled off a little bit.
47:46And then I was like, I got to go back to I've got to go back to the evaluation.
47:52You can't abandon that just because he didn't. I mean, he got a third round pick and it was it's a little
47:58disappointing from an athleticism, athleticism perspective, because you didn't see the great 40 time or the athleticism.
48:03But he did test really well from an agility perspective.
48:06If I like him, he's just behind. I believe he's just behind.
48:10Let me pull that back up. I'm on 32 beat writers looking at some of their stuff right now.
48:16But yeah, he's one spot behind Caleb Douglas right now.
48:19Twenty six. And I've got Zachary branch. Twenty seven.
48:22Yeah, I've got him at twenty four. I haven't really moved him around.
48:26We guys have moved around him. But, you know, I like what's possible there.
48:30So Cyrus Allen has gotten a lot of buzz.
48:33I just mentioned how much I like Caleb Douglas.
48:35And we I had a lot of them. We share that team with the whole original tripod.
48:40Um, we took Cyrus Allen ahead of Douglas, mostly just because the buzz is really hot for him right now.
48:46And thinking maybe we could get back in later and still get Douglas, which worked out in our favor that way.
48:53But I do have Douglas ranked higher. I like Cyrus Allen.
48:56You know, I think he's I got him at thirty four right now.
49:00Probably should climb a little higher. A lot of a lot of love and hype right now.
49:05That that has been, uh, you know, very consistent.
49:08Got a little banged up. And, you know, this if Xavier Worthy's shoulder thing is real, then the opportunity could come knocking.
49:15And it's, you know, it's going to be a battle between, you know, maybe him and somebody who I loved last year
49:21in Royals or Thornton or, you know, somebody else to be leveraging, you know, second and third targets in this offense.
49:28Yeah, he's been doing consistent damage and he's been doing damage to all of my Jalen Royal shares.
49:33So same. Not a fun time. Not a fun time right now, Bob.
49:37But you gotta gotta love what's going on. But I was very actually surprised that I got to the fourth round in
49:44that draft that just just wrapped up this past weekend and was still available.
49:48I thought for sure the drumbeat and the excitement of Kansas City would have put him into the third.
49:54But he was still sitting there. So so grabbed him and Douglas.
49:57That was fun. Um, Carson Beck played well in the Hall of Fame game.
50:02I had him. I had him as a third rounder.
50:05I've I've probably, you know, I got him right at the top of the third right now or, or, you know, actually bottom of the third right now.
50:13Great, great game. Look, looked very comfortable. Well, he's played a lot of high level football against high level talent.
50:19I think if you're going to sit back there and play a very vanilla defense, he's probably very comfortable with that.
50:26He knows where to go in the situation. I, you know, I'm, I'm excited to see, like, I don't think Bursette's in any way, shape or form.
50:34They're going to, we're going to see Carson Beck probably at some point with Arizona, but I'm interested to see once the
50:40real live bullets are flying and they're trying to confuse him what that looks like.
50:45Um, so no, no big movement for me, but, um, he's whatever.
50:49Yeah. I, I don't want to also look good.
50:51So, yeah, I don't want to massively overreact to this, but it's a, it's a definite step.
50:56Sure. And a positive that we're seeing you here, you hear a little bit of positivity in camp and then your very first test, you pass the test.
51:05So whether or not we, we like him, it's just something that it's a situation to monitor.
51:10I'm still not, I haven't drafted. I have zero Carson Beck.
51:13Same rookie drafts. I think in the end of, in the end of startups, I'll take him just because he was a
51:20pick and it's one of the worst, it's one of the worst teams in the NFL.
51:25So you, at some point you figure they're going to want to see what they got.
51:30Yeah. Um, Aller, I got him right behind Beck who was off my draft board just because look, look, yes, all the,
51:36all the, all the traits are there for Drew Aller.
51:40And we've, we've seen it in spots, but like he's, he just blows it.
51:44And we've just seen it time after time, him not be able to take his team and get over the hump now.
51:50So he was kind of just off the board.
51:53If he's sitting around in the late fourth, I'll take a stab on him and maybe, but what's interesting.
51:59What is certainly intriguing is McCarthy getting his little mitts on him.
52:03Um, similar draft capital to Beck basically. Um, and we're seeing day after day, just, you know, and when you have the
52:09tools and you're in practice, the highlights are going to start popping off.
52:13Kind of like we talked about a little bit with Jacoby lane, but like we're seeing Drew Aller highlights, you know, pop up and pop off.
52:21Uh, so he's been, he's back on the board and he's got, he's piqued my interest some, uh, but still not going
52:28to go out of my way to do anything crazy.
52:31I still really like Will Howard. Um, but I, I, I do McCarthy's got a great track record, man.
52:37So I, and Rogers is there for another year and you can say what you want about Rogers, but all the other
52:43guys have always outside of the media come back and been like Rogers was great to me.
52:48You know, so yeah, without question. I mean, this is the perfect incubator for him to, to sit for a year or two.
52:55Mike McCarthy, the track record, if you're not familiar, Aaron Rogers sat for a few years.
53:00You, you had, you had a Dak Prescott breakout after, after his interactions and iterations of the Cowboys offense with him and Kevin Moore.
53:07And you just know that he has a process.
53:10I mean, you can talk about something, you can talk about some of the backup quarterbacks and stuff.
53:16I don't want to spend too much time because I don't believe in Drew Aller at all.
53:21I feel like, I feel like the idea of Drew Aller is much cooler than the football player.
53:26Yes. That's, that's the, that's the opposite of the thing.
53:29Yeah. He's, he's the friend who you love and he just keeps letting you down.
53:34And you're like this time he's, he's going to, he's going to be different.
53:38He's going to show up. He's going to not be an asshole or he's not going to, you know, he's not going
53:45to do this or not going to do that.
53:47And then every time he does it and it's like, so yeah.
53:51And then, then maybe eventually he does, he goes, uh, and, and has something life-changing happen to him and a, he gets it together and it's awesome.
53:59So that's certainly not out of the realm of possibilities, but I'm kind of with you.
54:04He's, he's gotten me too many times at this point where, um, like Cade Clubnick was way off my board before the season even started.
54:12And Drew Aller was there too. And now Drew Aller has, has, has at least put himself back in the, in the
54:18rotation and a third, fourth for me to at least see, check them out.
54:23So yeah, I'm not strong enough. I watched, I watched way too much Penn State.
54:27Yeah. All right. Fire off. Let's fire off some, some of these late round guys here, Shev.
54:32I know your boy, Brennan Thompson, you want to give him a little love.
54:37Yeah, I do. I'm going to be insufferable about this one.
54:40If this hits, first of all, I don't understand why the charges keep drafting players.
54:44I really, really like that. You can get late in, get late in rookie drafts.
54:49This has been my auto select just because he is a skillset match, like Venn diagram skillset match for the things that
54:56Justin Herbert can do well, that this offense has kind of lacked over the last couple of years.
55:01And yeah. So Brennan Thompson, and then do you want me to just go through all these real quick?
55:07You can go, yeah, hit the next one for sure.
55:10And then I'll, yeah. Malik Benson has started to earn, has started to earn reps with the first team, six round pick out of Oregon.
55:17One of the fastest guys in the draft. And that, that is, this is one to keep your eyes on because he's
55:24available probably on waiver still right now quite a bit.
55:27And again, this is one of the fastest players behind Brennan Thompson in the entire draft.
55:32If you haven't watched him go, just you to some of his highlights.
55:36It is unreal how he looks with the ball in his hands and he's earning first team reps.
55:41Now you, you and I had talked about this multiple times, all fair, just in like what, what, at the draft and
55:48like, why is there no love for Malik? Like he just, every time, like he was great at Oregon.
55:54Like, I mean, he, he did, and he's a great athlete.
55:57And now, oh, now we're getting a little buzz.
56:00Obviously this, you know, Raiders are wide open with whatever can happen over there.
56:04This might not be necessarily year one awesomeness, but Kirk and, and, and Mendoza, you know, like him to like some Malik
56:11and he's, he's making a name for himself. So definitely somebody to add to the bottom of the roster there.
56:17Well, the important thing here is he reminds me a lot stylistically of Darnell Mooney.
56:21And you saw with Kirk cousins, uh, Darnell Mooney had his second best season ever with Kirk cousins at the helm and
56:28Kirk cousins is poised to start at least a few games for this team.
56:32And they need pass catchers outside of Brock Bowers and Ashton Jensen.
56:36So I, I, this is one that I've got my eyes on and the camp reports have all been really, really positive and consistent.
56:43So it's time to start paying attention to that.
56:46So yeah, pick them up. Adam, uh, Colby young would be another one right now, uh, out of Georgia six, four and three quarters, almost six.
56:54Obviously almost six, five to 18 fourth round pick.
56:57But when you look at this since the offense, it's like Yoshi Voss is just not the guy, man.
57:02I've, I've, I've watched enough. I've seen enough. He's intriguing.
57:05He was fun to start with. He started off probably as one of these guys.
57:10Hey, add this guy late. And there was some glimmers of hope, but like this guy just keeps popping up on all the reports.
57:17Um, as somebody who's making waves and making a name for himself.
57:21Uh, so Colby young, somebody to put on your radar.
57:24And then obviously Haynes King, um, who just, you know, I've all, I mean, Sheva, like I'm always, whenever she Haynes King was on, I'm always texting Sheva.
57:32Like this guy is just so much fun to what you can't kill him.
57:37Like, no. And he did it again. And he walked off his first NFL game.
57:41And it looked same thing I said for Carson Beck playing a very vanilla defense.
57:46Haynes King's played a lot of football, a lot of comebacks, a lot of big games.
57:50Um, but you know, Hey, he's fun. And he like Beck made some throws.
57:55Haynes King made some good throws to a good layered throws, good pinpoint accuracy, good.
57:59Gotta have it throws. And then, uh, obviously the rushing upside, like he's just hashtag warrior.
58:04Yeah. So it's, it's, it's, this is a fun, this is really fun.
58:08If you, as big code always say, Hey, if you want to turn up the fun meter, take your fourth round pick and spend it on Haynes King.
58:17There's a, there's, there's a lot of tumult and uncertainty in terms of what Bryce Young's future is.
58:22So if this thing goes to hell in a handbasket and they just decided to move on, then you could get four
58:29or five, six games close out the season with Haynes King or, you know, and this is, he's got rushing upside.
58:35Maybe he tanks everybody else besides himself, but he does have the rushing upside to maybe at least give you, you know,
58:42QB, give you 12 or 13 points a game as a quarterback.
58:45I mean, we like the weapons. We like everything else they got going on.
58:50If it goes to hell in a handbasket, you'll be glad you spent your fourth round pick on Haynes King.
58:56Yeah. He's, he's just fun. Adam to the bottom taxi squad kind of guy.
59:00It may be nothing. Uh, he certainly wasn't like somebody who was out there just delivering footballs and drew breeze, but like
59:07he was, he played quite a fun brand of football and he's a, he's a competitor.
59:11And like I said, I mean, you can't kill the guy.
59:15So I think, I think the, the, the Panthers have got to be excited about this developmental prospect they've got on the
59:21bottom of their depth chart as well. Uh, they, they saw some good stuff first time out.
59:27So that's going to wrap it up. Uh, we got a little rookie camp hype for your pleasure there.
59:32Rate, review the show, subscribe, like, comment below. Tell us who we miss, what you like, uh, who were too high on, who were too low on.
59:41Obviously we didn't get to everybody. We could have possibly talked about here, but wanted to touch base early on and, uh,
59:47get some, some established, uh, momentum for these guys and kind of tell them where they are on our board right now.
59:54So Chev you good? Yeah. Yeah. All right. We'll catch you next week.
