0:00Good morning, friends and enemies. It is Monday morning, which means we are here going game by game recapping everything that happened over
0:10the weekend, every NFL game from a fantasy perspective stain.
0:16Okay, we're going to go starting Thursday night football, going to the London game, going through the Sunday slate all the way up until Sunday night
0:22football talking about the biggest injuries, everything you need to know going forward. We had four teams on by, so they will be returning. In week
0:31eight, we will have Houston, we will have the Saints, we will have the Giants, and we will have the 49ers on
0:37by. So, another four team by week upcoming. Not a huge injury week, um by any means. I think a a pretty
0:45low-scoring overall week just in general for fantasy football this week.
0:50Obviously, it's going to have some leagues with teams that had big games, but I think overall scoring was pretty low uh for the week. So, let us jump right
0:59in to the Thursday night football game.
1:00Seattle loses in overtime to the Denver Broncos. Uh Armando, I'm not looking at chat, by the way. I saw a super chat
1:07come in. Very much appreciated, but y'all know I lock in during my live streams. I don't know if you're asking a
1:12question, a trade question, or you're showing appreciation. Whatever it is, I appreciate the engagement. Uh however, I'm actually going to check it just to
1:19make sure that I'm not muted. No, we're not. Okay.
1:22Um I won't be answering super chats, so please save your money. This is me just locking in and doing the content that
1:29hopefully brings y'all value throughout your Monday mornings. We do it every Monday morning, so obviously subscribe if you want to see this for the
1:36remainder of the season. But yes, if you enjoy the video, hit the thumbs up button, please. It lets YouTube know that you do enjoy these, and you'll see
1:43them on your home page more often. But please keep your super chats to yourselves. I don't want your stinking broke boy money.
1:52>> [clears throat] >> Broncos win 17 14. Both offenses looked extremely sloppy. Darnold was under pressure every time he dropped back. Five sacks, two
2:02interceptions. This was as bad as it gets. This offense obviously looks really, really, really poor right now outside of just Jaxon Smith-Njigba
2:09willing them down the field on some plays. Another 16 target, 12 catch, 134 yard game for him. He continues to be
2:17dynamite. They're not going to sit Sam Darnold. He has the contract. He's the starting quarterback. He just won them a Super Bowl. One of the dumbest
2:23discussions I've heard throughout the week.
2:26>> [clears throat] >> The backfield was kind of another mess.
2:30Emanuel Wilson does end up with 14 carries, 52 yards. George Holani gets in from the one yard one yard line. But, we should have some
2:38reinforcements coming back for the Seattle backfield. Will it make a huge difference? I think the the problem with Seattle's backfield right now is they
2:45got no juice. You let go of Kenneth Walker. You got Zach Charbonnet Price on IR. Charb probably better than Emanuel Wilson. It is important to note that
2:52like he's still, you know, 7 and a half, 8 months removed from this ACL tear. So, sure, you might have had some like
2:59progressive medicine done, some peptides, whatever. Is Zach Charb the answer to this backfield?
3:06Probably better than Wilson, but I'm I will say I'm skeptical. Someone who has him in my big money league and your
3:11idiot league mates, like I'm excited that I get a random running back into my lineup, you know, or or on the team for
3:17depth or whatever randomly throughout the year. But, I will say I'm still a little bit skeptical. I What they're missing is is is that Zach Charbonnet
3:23juice. So, until he's back, I I don't know how much better this offensive environment's going to be for a running back. So, we'll have to see. Charbonnet
3:31probably gets eased into, you know, they probably don't give him 20 carries just just off the rip there. I'd imagine Emanuel Wilson and/or George Holani
3:38still has somewhat of a role here.
3:40Broncos Bo Nix continues to disappoint.
3:43He just looks like so scared to run. He looks like he has no juice when he runs.
3:47Is that an ankle thing? I can't, you know, I can't really speak to that. So, obviously coming off of the the
3:52fractured ankle from last postseason, every time he runs though, he hits the edge and then he just goes out of bounds. Like he's got no spring. He's
3:59got no uh runaway ability right now and that's kind of what made Bo Nixson an intriguing fantasy quarterback in the previous years was like, "Yeah, he'll
4:08put up some passing numbers every now and then." But he quietly added, you know, 20 to 30 rushing yards a game and
4:12would scoot in every every once in a while.
4:15Wasn't the case here. Um we did have a nice little bounce back from Marvin Mims Jr. Harvey, three for 31, six for 25 on
4:20the ground and a touchdown. J.K. Dobbins also gets in. And I think that you know, it's important to um talk through Marvin Mims Jr. Harvey a
4:28bit. I tweeted something out before this week.
4:32And people were kind of losing their minds because like Sean Payton took over play-calling duties last week, took back them last week. And then Marvin Mims Jr.
4:39Harvey put up a donut basically.
4:41And I tweeted out that Marvin Mims Jr.
4:43Harvey's route share, you know, the percentage of routes that he was running for this team was 45% from weeks 1 through 4. And then week 5, it was 45%.
4:51It was exactly the same. So, there was no role change. It was just an unlucky like he didn't catch any passes that
4:56week. And then we saw this game start and and that was how the the tweet was meant to be taken. But there's a lot of
5:01people like, "Oh, he's useless." I'm like, "No, no, no. The the role didn't change. It was just a matter of variance." Like variance happens to a
5:07very very high degree in NFL games on a week-to-week basis. Uh this week started and Marvin Mims Jr. Harvey just started
5:13catching passes right away. Now, I'm looking at Marvin Mims Jr. Harvey as, you know, a high-end RB3 in PPR leagues.
5:20Um I I do wonder what happens when Jaleel McLaughlin comes back. It does seem like obviously Sean Payton really likes J.K.
5:26Dobbins. He's going to keep giving him carries up the gut there. 20 touches in this one. Continues to be like the most
5:32useless 40 yards you'll ever get, but he does get into the end zone for this one.
5:35Everybody else on on Denver is [ __ ] useless right now though. Jaylen Waddle stinks. Courtland Sutton stinks. Evan Engram stinks. Got a bunch of jokers who
5:41all stink.
5:43But I'm I'm I'm cautiously optimistic about Marvin Mims Jr. Harvey. I would definitely definitely definitely pick up Jamaal Williams if you have him in your
5:49league.
5:50You got to give somebody else a crack at the carries here, and it's clear that they don't trust RJ Harvey to be that
5:55guy. So, I think it could be Jamaal Williams.
5:57Maybe not directly when he returns, but maybe, you know, week nine, week 10, week 11, we do start to see him get
6:02rolling a little bit.
6:05Next up, we got the London game, Texans versus the Jaguars. I mean, as someone who in your idiot league mates, I had
6:11Nico Collins, Woody Marks, and Jakobi Meyers all going in this game.
6:15I almost I almost just jumped out. I'm I live on the eighth floor, and I almost permanently lived on the zero with the
6:22floor after that game. Um thank God for the last drive of the game.
6:27We were like, most of the way through the game, C.J. Stroud had thrown for 250 yards, three touchdowns. Woody Marks and
6:33Nico Collins had a combined one catch at that point. And I'm like, what the [ __ ] is going on? You got no David
6:38Montgomery.
6:39Uh Woody Marks ends up being like the bell cow, per se, but Jordan mixed in a lot, had the 25-yard touchdown scramble,
6:47which made things look a lot better.
6:48Woody Marks kind of like, luckily caught a big pass at the end of the game there.
6:52So, yeah, it's a little bit more of a split than I would have like to have seen, but I think that's probably going
6:57to be the case. The Jaguars are obviously an extremely, extremely difficult defense to run against, and I hate the London games. I hate the
7:04schedule for them. So, I wasn't expecting much from uh the way of Woody Marks. Now, they do have one more game before their bye
7:11against the Giants next week. So, I think we'll see a better game out of Woody Marks. But, this is like the Woody
7:16Marks experience, you know? It's like 15 touches, 15 to 20 touches, probably 70 to 80 total yards. You got to hope he
7:21gets in to have like some sort of a ceiling game.
7:24Uh but, against the Giants at home, should be a little bit better of a showing. Then they have the bye, and
7:27maybe David Montgomery's back after that. C.J. Stroud looks great right now, though. He is um if I'm not mistaken, leading the NFL
7:34in passing touchdown or passing yards, sorry. Passing yards at this point. So, he looks really, really good. This offense is going very high uh pass rate,
7:43which is great for the weapons, but it is tough to decipher what's going on here. It was Marvin Harrison Jr.'s first
7:48game with the Texans. And I will say, if anyone like you guys all watched the game, like clearly Stroud likes him. You
7:56know, they were college teammates. He looks for him a lot.
7:59And Marvin Harrison Jr. was playing a lot in the slot. He was playing inside.
8:03He had a lot of the in-breakers where Nico Collins continued to stay on the outside and run those like X receiver
8:09routes. So, Marv continued to get like I don't want to say layup targets, but much easier path to targets than a guy
8:16like Nico Collins is getting right now.
8:18And this is just kind of what this offense has become. You know, you have four targets for Noel. You have five for
8:22Nico. You got four for Marv. You got six for Dalton Schultz. Three, three, three, three for all the other guys. It's a
8:28very spread it around offense.
8:31Noel had a big explosion game. The problem with everybody behind Nico is the route share is just so split up.
8:39And and you know, this is what I said when they brought in Marv. I'm like, it's cool, but in terms of what we're going to see
8:46behind them, you have Nico at 83% in this one in terms of the route share. You got Jaylen Noel at 61. Xavier run. So, it's really
8:55tough to decipher what happens behind Nico Collins.
9:22And even with Nico Collins, it's tough cuz like sure, he's running all the routes and he's the best receiver in that core, but at the same time it's
9:29like everybody sees passes and everybody sees targets. So, it's a little bit hard to like put him in the conversation of, you
9:38know, even like the Malik Nabers is at this point, the Zay Flowers is at this point. Like he's that talented, but the
9:43offensive structure, even with CJ Stroud throwing the ball a lot and throwing for a lot of yards, they spread the ball a
9:48lot the ball around a lot. So, coming out of this game arrow up for Jaylen Noel cuz he just continues to make plays. At
9:55some point, you just become undeniable to the point where you're like, you're the dumbest [ __ ] coaching staff ever for just keeping me on the bench for 2
10:01years.
10:02Put the ball in my [ __ ] hands and good things happen.
10:04You You just become undeniable. Marvin Harrison, obviously arrow up. If you watched the game, sure, low route rate, but like looked good. Him and Stroud
10:11clearly have a connection. Stroud is going to look his way and he performed well. Wasn't dropping passes or anything, so getting easier routes and
10:18easier targets than he was in Arizona not being like the full-time X outside type of guy there. So, looked a lot
10:25better, going to gain his confidence back a little bit, but yeah.
10:29T-Law 306 for touchdowns.
10:32Jacquory Myers had a good game. Parker Washington was like a fingertip away or two from having a huge game. The backfield split, yeah, 12 for 39 for
10:39Bashaul Tuiton and 11 for 55 for Chris Rodriguez. Bashaul Tuiton though, four for 48 through the air plus two touchdowns. So, that was a huge game for
10:48him and could have been even bigger. Had another touchdown called back on the ground there. So, Tuiton is becoming the guy that, you know, we all
10:54kind of expected him to become over the last few weeks where he's getting the majority of valuable touches here.
11:00Rodriguez did have a nice game. He looked pretty good on the ground, but it's going to continue to be Tuiton's backfield. One of the bigger storylines
11:05of course is Travis Hunter. Brian Thomas Jr. with another donut. We'll see how long he stays on the roster if he even
11:10does.
11:11Travis Hunter though, four for 59 and a touchdown. Looks awesome in the receiver role. And this is what we've been saying
11:16all [ __ ] summer, all season long is like, yo, you got to get him to be awesome on the defensive side of the
11:22ball so that you kind of like you get the number two overall pick that that you used that draft capital on. Like, we
11:27need him to be elite on one side of the ball first, let him get comfortable there, and then we can pile on other
11:33areas of his game. And that's what you're now seeing. I think the Jaguars played this season in particular perfectly with Travis Hunter's usage.
11:40Travis Hunter played a lot on Nico Collins in this game, and played really, really good defense on him. You know, may let up a big play or two, but like
11:46that's going to happen when you're playing against Nico Collins. Nico Collins has 4 in on every cornerback that he plays against. Uh but overall,
11:52Travis Hunter is I I he got an interception in this game. He is becoming one of the game's best cornerbacks very, very quickly, and that
11:58allows you to like put pressure or or take pressure off of him on the defensive side of the ball, and now you allow him to get usage on
12:07the offensive side of the ball. He's probably still going to run like just a handful of routes a game, you know, 10
12:12to 15 routes a game, so it's hard to uh say confidently that like you'll ever be able to start him. His floor will be
12:18very, very low. But you could see when he's on the field, they are using him, they are targeting him, they are drawing
12:22up plays for him, and he's obviously a very explosive downfield playmaker. So, um yeah, I mean, Travis Hunter needs to be
12:30owned at this point. Brian Thomas Jr.
12:31might be moved. Uh it's very clear that like Jacoby Parker and now Travis Hunter seem to be like the guys here. And I
12:37think we'll just continue to slowly, slowly see Travis Hunter's role increase. But obviously with the type of player he is, with the low route share
12:45that he runs, it's going to be a very volatile experience. Like it's it's going it's going to be a wide range of spectrums in
12:51terms of like what his weekly numbers are, but I do think, you know, if he's on the wire right now, he's he's
12:55definitely someone we want to pick up here.
12:59Moving to the 1:00 slate, 31 to 23, the Chicago Bears beat us. We almost had them though. We almost had them at the
13:06end of the game. Caleb Williams' first game back looked phenomenal. 30 for 36, 305 passing yards. As expected though, the rushing production is probably going
13:14to be somewhat subdued for quite a bit.
13:18Uh four carries, three yards. Coming off the hamstring strain, not surprised that he just, you know, stayed in the pocket and did what he had to do there. Um but
13:24good passing numbers for the most part overall. Was a very, very split backfield in this one. 13 for 51 on the
13:30ground for Roschon. De'Andre Swift did get in twice though, 16 for 44. I think he's probably hampered by injuries. The Chicago Bears are also up pretty big in
13:37the fourth quarter. Um the score is a lot further away or closer I guess than than probably given credit for. So, that
13:44split's probably closer if um or that split's probably more wide between Swift and Roschon if uh if if the game is
13:51closer overall. But, Roschon continues to be involved in the passing game regardless of I think Coman on guys probably back sooner rather than later.
13:57Maybe in um maybe in week seven, but definitely not a guaranteed um return there. They do play a pretty tough slate now in terms of the
14:07ground game. You've got New England, then you're at Seattle, then you're against Tampa Bay, and then you get a bye. So, going to be a little bit tricky
14:15to decipher this backfield. Obviously, Swift's just in your lineup, but for Monangai, um good to see Luther Burden eight for 95, really strong game. Didn't
14:22run all the routes here. I know people were kind of freaking out about that, but we saw and and and this was, you
14:28know, something we had talked about too where Caleb Caleb Williams not necessarily using his first read very often. I think the fact that he can't
14:35run actually helped him in the passing game because you're kind of forced into hitting the targets that are uh the the
14:43first read options in your offense and not scrambling to make bigger plays. And that's what Luther Burden is. Eight for 95 on eight targets. Colson Loveland six
14:50for 65 and a touchdown. So, if you held on to those guys, if you held on to the Lovelands of the world, you definitely
14:55feel more confident. I'm not saying like, you know, we are back to where they were in terms of um preseason, but Loveland yeah, I think
15:04I'm looking at Loveland as like a top 10 tight end going forward in fantasy.
15:08Burden's a super viable wide receiver three flex guy. Rome Odunze is going to be up and down depending on whether or
15:13not they See, Rome's a dude where like he gets downfield shots. And a lot of the times Caleb, when the play breaks
15:18down, he runs out of the pocket and he's looking for Rome down the field. So, while he's hampered, I think that's like
15:24one of the big takeaways.
15:25Um what else is going on on the other side of the ball? Michael Penix had a strong statistical game. Bijan Robinson,
15:30you know, kind of another down game.
15:32That is like the one product of being in this offense when you are tied to the Falcons offense who scores seven points
15:38through three and a half quarters. Like, that's the issue here and that's why you go with a Gibbs over a Bijan at the 101
15:44because you just don't get as many scoring opportunities here. So, you know, down game for Bijan, unfortunately. Drake London does see 10
15:50targets on 33 attempts, so not worried about that whatsoever. Jahan Dotson, shout out. Kyle Pitts, five for 62 touchdowns, a lot of garbage time
15:56production over there. Puts together two good games in a row. We ain't going to talk about all that, though.
16:02Browns-Ravens, one of the ugliest games I've ever watched here.
16:05The Browns sneak away with a 13-10 victory. Hopefully, we get Lamar Jackson under center and then everything can go back to normalcy. The only real takeaway
16:14I have for the Baltimore Ravens side of things in terms of like what matters for fantasy, Jacoby Lane, first game back
16:20um off of the wrist injury. Five targets, four catches, 40 yards. I think with Rashod Bateman getting hurt here, um he's going to be a player in this
16:28offense. Had a ton of hype throughout the summer. Looked good in the preseason. Like, he's going to be the wide receiver two and I think that's
16:33probably going to be a pretty valuable fantasy player once Lamar Jackson is back.
16:41For Cleveland, we had Kwantre Autry not suiting up. Dylan Sampson looks like he's close to returning. So, if I had to
16:47guess, I think we probably get at least one if not both of them back for their week seven game against Tennessee. So,
16:52Jalen McLaughlin, nice of you to fill in. Goodbye, though. Uh receivers, Ka'imi Fairbairn Ka'imi Fairbairn does clear the uh concussion protocol
17:01quickly, so he gets in this game. But, at the end of the day, Deshaun threw for 164 yards.
17:09So, that's the uh experience of being tied to the Cleveland Browns offense, you know? We say this week in and week out.
17:16It's great to and Denzel Boston.
17:17Unfortunately, when you have Deshaun Watson as your quarterback, you're going to have some very, very, very low floor games, which is what we're seeing more
17:24often than not with Harold Fannin. And I have Harold Fannin as my starting quarterback in your idiot league mates, and that is by far and away my biggest
17:30glaring hole in my lineup right now. Uh I thought I'd be able to like kind of just, you know, spook by week to week with him
17:37in there and like take the good with the bad. But when you have back-to-back really, really, really, really bad games, it does start to get scary here.
17:44So, with Fannin, yeah, I'm going to be looking for a replacement on the wire, not that there's a lot to um
17:51be excited about on the wire, unfortunately. I I I think we would we would have a big game from Harold Fannin, or at least a relatively usable
17:59game, if Casey Concepcion did not suit up cuz of concussion, but he ended up um playing, and he just gets a lot of
18:07the targets that I think Harold Fannin otherwise would have gotten.
18:12Moving to the Titans and the Colts, the battle of just like bad teams, bad offenses, bad defenses, bad ownership, bad GMs, bad coaches, bad special teams
18:21coordinators, just bad It's bad, a lot of bad, bad, bad, bad, bad all around here. Um Cam Ward 100 yards through the air. The
18:29only real takeaway is Carnell Tate just continues to be a really, really good fantasy receiver in good matchups. You know, Cam Ward
18:36completed 11 passes for 100 yards.
18:39Carnell Tate had six of those catches for 70 yards. So, this was an easy good game to see coming uh for Carnell Tate. Like when they play
18:45bad matchups, like he is going to see a ton of targets. So, Carnell Tate is emerging as a really, really strong
18:52fantasy option. Only real takeaway here.
18:55For the Colts, they did just hi or they did just fire Chris Ballard. Um so, I don't know if that changes anything,
18:59but, you know, can't really say anything that you guys don't already know. Daniel Jones playing really poorly. Jonathan Taylor, he's phenomenal. Just keep him
19:06in your lineup, obviously, week in and week out. Josh Downs continues to disappoint. Keenan Allen might be like the one takeaway here where
19:13yeah, he's just kind of been good, man.
19:16He's just kind of been a high-floor like Stefon Diggs, what he did in LA last year, the Chargers. He's just a dude
19:23that quarterbacks and coaching staffs trust. Uh Tyler Warren missed this one with a groin strain. Uh that happened on Friday practice, I believe. So, there is
19:32a very real chance he misses another game here. Um so, if you have Tyler Warren, I would make some backup plans
19:38for the tight end position. Definitely not a guaranteed miss, but I would say, you know, a Friday injury typically going to be a 10-day recovery process.
19:46So, decent chance he ends up missing their Week 7 game. It is at Minnesota anyways, so that is one of the tougher
19:51matchups.
19:52Um Alec Pierce, I think there was a report that Alec Pierce like the earliest they're expecting him back is possibly like Week 9 or 10. So, I I
20:00don't know. Obviously, that's just a bad situation all around.
20:03>> [clears throat] >> Patriots at the New York Jets. Another strong game from Drake May. They win 26 to 19 to go to 4 and 2, 3 and 0 at home.
20:10Man, after the way that they started, to be 4 and 2 right now, got to be feeling good if you're a Pats fan. Um backfield
20:16was a mess. So, you had TreVeyon Henderson who apparently had a high ankle sprain, ended up playing in this game, getting seven carries. He ended up
20:22losing a fumble, though.
20:23Um and then there was a split between Corey Kiner, who rushed pretty well, and then Rhamondre Stevenson, 14 for 36 on
20:29the ground. So, a pure split in this backfield. Now, if we look at the actual snap counts here, it's going to uh strongly favor
20:38Rhamondre, which is pretty much like week in and week out. This is what his snap counts look like. 60% to Rhamondre,
20:4424% to TreVeyon Henderson, 18% to Kiner.
20:48He continues to get the rushing attempts, continues to get the routes here. Um yeah, so it's not like I'm not excited for anyone really in
20:56this backfield right now. I would continue starting Rhamondre.
21:00They get Chicago and then Miami and then Green Bay over the next 3 weeks. So, a very, very favorable stretch here.
21:07Uh I will though, they lost a bunch of offensive lineman. Alijah Vera-Tucker, um, some other players too. I don't have all of them off the top of my dome, but
21:17practice reports are going to be important for the Patriots this week because, yeah, they they they they got a few of their starters injured on the
21:23offensive line in this one, not that it mattered against the Jets.
21:26Biggest storyline, of course, for the, um, Patriots though, really buried the lead here, is A.J.
21:32Brown makes his return from the high ankle sprain.
21:35Uh, I thought he was a long shot to play in this one. Ended up suiting up, had probably the worst game of his career.
21:39I've almost never seen anything like this from a starting caliber receiver like A.J. Brown. 10 targets, but just dropped like just couldn't stop dropping
21:46them.
21:47Just could not stop dropping targets.
21:48So, good to see him back. Good to see him running a lot of routes. Let's actually check the snap counts cuz I did
21:52not do that yet.
21:54Uh, 97% of the routes he played on. So, clearly, like I don't want to say past the injury, I guess, cuz he did not look
22:01great in this one. It was like a yips hands thing. Um, don't really know what to make of it. I I I I I think you're going to hear a lot
22:09of like, "Oh, he was back. He had 10 targets. Don't worry about it. He's going to be great going forward."
22:14I think it's fine to be skeptical about what A.J. Brown is at this point coming back from the high ankle sprain and
22:19whether or not he is still the same old like 2023 A.J. Brown.
22:24Uh, but that being said, Romeo Doubs did come down on his shoulder on his 42-yard touchdown catch, left the game, and likely dealing with an AC sprain. He
22:33can definitely suit up next week if it's not a severe pain thing. Um, this is typically, you know, an injury where you
22:40can miss a week, usually back after a week if you do miss a week. So, I think he's going to be back sooner rather than
22:44later, but if A.J. Brown does get, you know, the whole wide receiver room for himself basically, uh, against Chicago Bears, should have a big game. Pop Douglas
22:53filled in nicely, uh, as the second receiver here. Hunter Henry got involved, of course. So, you know, you have some secondary pass catchers here,
22:59but overall, weird return for A.J.
23:01Brown. Just got to get his confidence back uh, for him. On the flip side, we do have uh another relatively strong game for
23:09Braelon Allen, goes for over 100 from scrimmage on 19 touches. Breece Hall, I think should be back next week. I don't
23:15think it's a guarantee though. So again, they play Miami, so it'd be a great great return for him.
23:20Um I put the over/under at 3 and 1/2 weeks for Breece Hall's injury slate. And he missed 3 weeks, so I think there's a
23:2850/50 chance for him to play next week.
23:32If he plays, you play him. If he doesn't, you obviously play Braelon Allen against the Miami Dolphins. The receiving group is an interesting one
23:38though. Garrett Wilson doesn't get enough work, of course. Kenny Stills is back from his concussion, but really ends up playing fourth, fifth, sixth
23:45fiddle. Mason Taylor catches more passes from him. The story of this game though was rookie first-round pick Omar Cooper.
23:50Six for 103 and a touchdown. They used him all over the place in the slot. I'm hesitant to buy into this because Adonai
23:58Mitchell, I think, is really their wide receiver two.
24:01I feel like we haven't got a great like read on when he's going to return. I'd imagine it's got to be soon.
24:07Um and I think when he returns, Omar Cooper definitely earned more playing time, but I still think Adonai Mitchell's going to be the two in
24:13two-wide receiver sets. So, you want to invest into Cooper because of the finger injury, because of just what this offense is right now,
24:21and they just have like open opportunities all over the place, I get it. Um I'm still like hesitant on Omar Cooper's role when Adonai Mitchell
24:30returns, however.
24:34Saints versus the New York Giants. Uh the Saints win 34 to 27. Shuck three touchdowns, not great through the air though. We had 20 carries for Kendre
24:44Miller here, clearly like the top dog, but Alvin Kamara does get in on a ridiculous receiving touchdown, looked phenomenal in it. Uh not not a ton of
24:52takeaways here. It's still kind of like a split backfield. Kendre Miller, CJ Donaldson, Alvin Kamara involved. I think Travis Etienne probably still
24:59needs to miss. I don't actually know the numbers off the top of my head. I think he's missed three games so far, so I
25:03want to say he's out for at least one more game. They get Pittsburgh in week seven, and then they've got a bye. So,
25:08I'd expect them back in week nine. Pittsburgh is not a defense that's easy really to run against, so I don't have a ton of
25:15conviction or confidence in any of the running backs in this group, especially with just a three-way time share.
25:20Because Shaq only threw for 144 yards, it was tough to get a big game out of anyone. Olave did end up coming through
25:25though for 43 and a Taggart stays. On the flip side, we've got a J.J. McCarthy sighting. I just saw a stat that said
25:31that J.J. McCarthy's 243 yards. So, what he had in the second half of this game was more than any starting quarterback
25:38for the Minnesota Vikings in a single game this year so far.
25:43I don't think we have word on who the starting quarterback is for next week.
25:46The Giants play against Houston. They are at Houston. So, very tough match up regardless.
25:52I don't really have a lean on which quarterback is going to be under center.
25:58I think it'd probably be I think I'd still rather have Jameis Winston under center for almost all the other pieces, but I mean McCarthy came in and just
26:04spammed Malik Nabers, ended up with 12 for 165. Isaiah Likely six for 99. Both of them have just been [ __ ]
26:10revelations so far for fantasy over the last month and likely more so for the entirety of the season. But yeah, I I
26:17get it. McCarthy had a good game statistically right now, but I think for the remainder of the season, no, I'd rather have my weapons
26:25attached to Jameis Winston. So, I I think McCarthy definitely gets under center sooner rather than later. I don't know if that is going to be
26:32week seven though.
26:33Maybe in week seven, you know, Jameis struggles at Houston, then they get the bye week, and then McCarthy's a starter going forward, but
26:41tough to say. In the backfield, another mess here.
26:45Tyron Tracy ends up getting in to the end zone twice on only eight touches.
26:49Kam Skadabo, a zero. Zero touches in this one. Basically gets benched because of the fumble.
26:54I think it's pretty clear unfortunately if you drafted Scott Efford you just got to take the L on this one. I don't think
26:59the coaching staff very thinks very highly of him. Like yes, he was punished and he got benched, but I also don't
27:04think they think that he adds a ton to this backfield unfortunately. Like I don't think he they think he's very good. They
27:11came out and they were asked like why was Singletary and Tracy so involved in this one? They said cuz those are our
27:16passing our pass-catching backs, which means that they don't view Cam Akers as a pass-catching back and that's basically been what's on paper. Like we
27:24we have watched that play out. He's not catching passes and he's not getting targets. So I think best-case scenario he comes back and he's like 12 to 15
27:32carries. You hope he gets in from the goal line, but he's not really catching passes. So this is just an absolute mess
27:37that like I don't want to own Devin Singletary.
27:40Maybe Tyron Tracy earned a little bit more trust, but like eight touches. I'm not very high on that. Najee Harris, yeah, I mean it it's an absolute mess in
27:48this Giants backfield.
27:53The Panthers beat the Eagles on the road in Philly. Bryce Young throws for another 281 and two touchdowns. Chuba Hubbard with an insane 29 touch game.
28:02Another buck 20 and a touchdown from him.
28:05Just continues to roll on. We did have a return to like running for Jonathan Brooks. He's not returned to practice yet, so he's probably still a few weeks
28:11off. Not that it's going to matter a whole lot. Um but I I do think they'd they'd probably want some secondary
28:18running back even if it's just like five to eight touches a game to be in this backfield so Chuba doesn't have to touch
28:23the ball 30 times a game. Jaylen Coker returned six for 97 on 13 targets here.
28:29That's a third of Bryce Young's pass attempts. Terrace Marshall McMillan six for 86, so another strong game from him.
28:33These two are just just dynamite as a pass-catching duo, man. This this Panthers offense under uh Izig is is just been
28:41uh awesome. It's awesome to see. 39 pass attempts for the Carolina Panthers in this one.
28:46Um, to just 30 I mean, 29 running back carries, I guess.
28:52Yeah, cuz three for Bryce Young, one for Mitchell Evans.
28:56Uh, yeah, just like Coker and McMillan are awesome, dude. It's just a fun, fun, fun trio to have right now. Carolina
29:02plays Tampa Bay, then Green Bay. They get Denver, which is tough, but then they're New Orleans, Baltimore, Tampa Bay. Um, so I guess a mix and match of
29:09of good opponents, bad opponents, but like yeah, I just love that they're letting Bryce sling the ball, and he's just proving everybody wrong. It's pretty
29:15sick. Pretty, pretty sick. Flip side.
29:18They had Tanner McKee under center. Uh, we learned today that Jalen Hurts will be out for the remainder of the season.
29:23So, it's going to be Tanner McKee. They did sign Joe Milton off the Cowboys practice squad. Do we see him? I don't
29:29really know. I think they're going to let um, Tanner McKee rip for a little bit at least. We had Dameon Pierce as the starting running
29:36back because Saquon's out, Will Shipley's out, everybody's out. Um, do I think it's guaranteed Saquon is back next week? No, I do not.
29:44I think that's 50/50. They play against Dallas, which would be a phenomenal match-up for him. But, if you have Dameon Pierce, hold on to him cuz I
29:50think there's a chance Saquon sits one more week.
29:53Um, they do play, I believe it's a Monday Night Football, so he's got an extra day of rest, um, which does
29:58obviously work in his favor. And anytime you're playing against a divisional opponent, you want to be out there, of course. So, you know, I think there's
30:04yin and yang to it.
30:05But, I I wouldn't expect a guaranteed Saquon playing in this upcoming week.
30:09Quez Watkins Smith did return from the hamstring strain, seven for 75 and a touchdown. Left this game for a sec, but came back in. 14
30:16targets, Tanner McKee clearly likes him.
30:17Quez had a good game, but yeah, I mean, I think with Tanner McKee under center, like this was a game against he he threw
30:23he threw the ball 45 times. They were trailing for a lot of the game. Um, the Panthers are without both of their
30:31top cornerbacks, like unfortunately, yeah, it just didn't work very well. The The Eagles are down so many offensive linemen. It's possible that they get
30:38Landon Dickerson back next week, though I don't know that that uh is like Dickerson's been kind of bad both this year and and dating back to
30:48last year. So, I don't I don't think Landon Dickerson is is who we've become accustomed to seeing the last couple years. So, um
30:56just a note. Just a little note there.
31:00Steelers and Buccaneers. Steelers win this one in overtime, 26 to 19. Rodgers throws for 253. Metcalf has a good game.
31:07I think the story of the game, well, two stories for Steelers. You had Rico Dowdle's return. It was still mainly Jaylen Warren, but he's not the bell
31:14bell bell cow. Uh both of them had four targets. Warren out carried him 14 to 50, or sorry, 14 to seven. Ran for 50
31:21yards. So, Tampa Bay run defense is pretty good, though. Um don't overlook them. They have, you know, they got Vita Vea in the middle, and it's tough to run
31:27against this team. Um so, good to see Warren still lead the team and still get, you know, 18 opportunities in this
31:33one, but definitely going to be some sort of committee. It's probably like 65-35 going forward if I had to say. I
31:39still look at Jaylen Warren a pretty solid RB2 with a ton of upside and good matchups. The other story of this game,
31:44of course, is Jeremy Bernard. He was the waiver wire pick of the week in every piece of content that you pretty much
31:48watched. Uh rookie day three pick for them or day two pick for them. You had Roman Wilson out.
31:53You got Michael Pittman Jr. out. Both of them are on the IR, so they're going to be out for a long period of time.
31:58Bernard steps in, 12 targets, 11 catches, 87 yards, touchdown. Looked great. Uh Aaron Rodgers looked his way often. So, I think it's going to be the
32:05Bernard, Metcalf, and and Rodgers show from here on out. Um yeah, Bernard looks phenomenal. They get the Saints next week, which is a plus plus matchup.
32:13Cleveland is tough. They get a bye, but then they get Cincinnati, uh Philly, Denver, Houston, Jacksonville, which is really really tough after that. Um so, I
32:21get it if you want to sell on a player like a DK or even Bernard after this, but um yeah, I think if you if you grab
32:26Bernard off the wire, it's kind of like a Jaylen Coker, bro. Like I just think you got a nice wide receiver three.
32:31Coker is is better than a wide receiver three at this point, obviously, but like I think if If got Bernard off the wire,
32:36you feel pretty confident just playing him week in and week out with all the injuries to the um um to the Steelers. Should also be noted
32:41that Pat Freiermuth tweaked his calf prior to the game, like on Saturday, I want to say, or Friday or Saturday. So,
32:48he was questionable coming in. He didn't end up playing. I I I do wonder how much that limited him though. Tampa Bay, not
32:54a ton to take away from here. I would just say it's probably Jalen Darden's his last game here, and we can get Bucky
33:00or uh Baker Mayfield back under center.
33:02Um Ameca Egbuka, 16 targets though. You do love to see that. 7 for 48 and a touchdown. Was close to having a much
33:08bigger game. So, I I do think he's possibly a buy low right now if you want to go in on him with Baker's return.
33:14Should also be noted that Bucky, yes, 19 carries, 46 yards. Only two carries to gain a gain well. Sean Tucker did not
33:20suit up in this one.
33:23Next game, we got the Cardinals beating the Los Angeles Rams. Huge huge upset here. Um just methodical just ethical ball from
33:31the Arizona Cardinals here, man. Just ate up clock. I do want to see the time of possession on this one. Do we have it
33:35here?
33:39TOP, 35 minutes for the Cardinals, 25 minutes for the Rams. Like the odds on that to happen, plus [ __ ]
33:482200 probably. So, we had no Jerry May Love in this one.
33:52Tyler Allgeier does carry the ball 18 times for 38 yards. But, Bam Knight came in, carried the ball 15 times for 80
33:59yards. Um caught two passes, both him and Allgeier had two targets. Let's take a look at the actual snap count breakup.
34:10Obviously, tough defense in the Rams to run against. Allgeier 56% of the snaps.
34:15Ran more routes, had more rushing attempts, obviously. Took the majority of the short down and distance. Those are not even Knight got the inside the
34:21five-yard line carry. Um two-minute drill all to Allgeier. I still think Allgeier is definitely like the guy in this backfield while Love is out. Uh I
34:29think it's possible that Love misses another game. So, again, I I would make plans if uh if that's the case. They
34:35play Denver, so not a super easy defense to run against, obviously.
34:39But, I would be fine starting out here next week if um if Love is out again. McBride 753, another disappointing day for Michael
34:47Wilson, unfortunately. Seven targets, four catches, 32 yards, and this was without Trent McDuffie. So, you'd hope to have seen more, but you know, in a
34:53game where they carried the ball 35 times, like I don't know. I guess wasn't much upside or there were no real big
35:00plays happening in this game. So, they didn't really chuck the ball downfield.
35:04Better days ahead, I think, for Michael Wilson in Arizona. Kendrick Bourne continues to shape up as like a nice little, you know, bye-week fill-in
35:11flex play for you.
35:12The Rams. Stafford ends up finishing with a decent day, 222, two touchdowns.
35:17Puka Nacua gets there after the big play at the end of the game, six for 80.
35:20Davante Adams did leave this game with It's kind of tough to tell. Like, people are kind of speculating it's a hamstring
35:26injury. I've heard some of the Twitter doctors that have watched the video are like a little bit unsure of what the
35:31actual injury is. So, I think there's a wide range of outcomes for what um what we're going to see from Davante
35:37Adams. Let me just do a quick Twitter search to see if we have any updates over the last half hour or so.
35:46>> [snorts] >> Suffered a non-contact leg injury. Yeah.
36:11That's the most ridiculous tweet ever.
36:13Um Um sorry.
36:30So, Davante, yeah, we'll have to wait on word from him. They play the Raiders next week. If he's out, obviously Puka's
36:37going to get a big uptick. You'd also give an uptick to maybe Canat Mumfield, but the tight ends get a big boost. We
36:42still have Terrance Ferguson on the IR.
36:44Look like it was going to be a good Higbee spot. Didn't end up happening. It was a Colby Parkinson day.
36:49So, take that for what it's worth. Um, I will say if Davante Adams' injury ends up being a multi-week injury, I think
36:54it'd be pretty sharp to pick up Terrance Ferguson. He might have to sit on your IR spot or your bench if you've got the
36:59luxury for it. But, if Davante Adams is out for multiple weeks and Terrance Ferguson returns, I do think they use him in a very really, really high
37:06receiver capacity. So, interesting there. Kyren Williams finally has like a down game.
37:11He was asked after the game um, about like the inconsistency on the offense from a down-to-down basis or a drive-to-drive basis. And he was like,
37:19"Maybe it was because I wasn't out there." Which is like a weird statement to make after how much work you get and how much they get like
37:27he played on 71% of the snaps compared to 29 for Blake Corum. And like admittedly, objectively, Blake Corum looks good right now. Looks good in the
37:34passing game. He looks good on the ground. Like I understand why they're giving both of them carries. Just a weird statement from Kyren Williams to
37:41like start problems in the locker room.
37:43I don't get it.
37:47Chiefs 22, Chargers 6. I you know, there's nothing I could tell you about the Chargers here. Um, only like semi-relevant fantasy takeaway. I mean,
37:55still a complete split backfield here.
37:56You can't start anyone in that backfield. Lad McConkey does leave with a concussion. Now, they do get a bye this week. So, I would expect him to be
38:03back and more healthy than he has been for the previous uh, couple weeks. So, uh, Lad better start in 2 weeks than he
38:09was in either of the previous 2 weeks.
38:11The only positive spot here.
38:14Um, Kansas City. Mahomes 272, no touchdowns, interception. Kenneth Walker is the story of this year of the story of this team. 19 for 128, two more
38:23touchdowns on the ground here. He is a fantasy revelation.
38:28Very, very glad to look back and say that we were extremely, extremely, extremely high on him throughout the summer. So, I hope a lot of the people
38:36in the audience ended up, you know, following the draft guide and grabbing Kenneth Walker at the 1-2 turn.
38:41Obviously, just one of the best players in fantasy. Rashee Rice missed this game. He was a DMP all week. So, don't
38:47think it's a guarantee that he returns next week. They are playing at Seattle and then at Denver. So, two tough games
38:52in a row. With Rashee Rice out, we had Xavier Worthy go seven for 73. He always ends up filling in and getting enough
38:58targets when Rashee's out. I do wonder if that is just hard to come by in the next two matchups that are really,
39:03really difficult. Again, at Seattle, at Denver.
39:06We had a lot of a lot of talk this this week about Cyrus Allen, Jaylen Royals.
39:11With Rashee Rice out, Royals was the guy running the routes, but neither of them, I think, are probably good enough at
39:15this point in their careers to like make any impact. Kelce did leave the game with an ankle injury, ended up returning. Uh there were some Twitter
39:22docs that said it could possibly be a high ankle sprain that ends up swelling after the game. But the fact that he did
39:26return keeps me relatively optimistic that he'll be good to go moving forward.
39:31They're another team, the Chiefs, that had some injuries on the offensive line.
39:34So, that's another like practice report to keep an eye on. Um I'm Who Who plays Thursday night football in week seven?
39:44I think it's the Patriots and the Yeah, Patriots-Bears. So, the injuries to the offensive line for the Patriots, they got a quick turnaround. So, they're
39:51probably going to be without some of their starters there. So, a little bit of a downgrade to the run game. But
39:55overall, yeah, I mean Kenneth Walker, man. What a [ __ ] goat.
40:00Oh, that's actually a revenge game next week, too, against Seattle. He's going to go nuts.
40:06Uh next up, we got the Bills versus the Raiders. A little bit closer than probably uh it looks. It The Bills kind
40:12of had it in hand by the by the fourth quarter. They were up by 10, I think.
40:16Whatever. Josh Allen 255, two touchdowns, ridiculous touchdown pass.
40:20You can kind of just see how badly this team needs DJ Moore back. It feels like on most drop backs, there's nobody open.
40:27Josh Allen kind of like breaks the pocket, makes a play, and Keon Coleman seems to be the best off-script guy there. But, DJ Moore misses this game.
40:33They have their bye next week. So, after that, we should get a 90% healthy, if not more, DJ Moore back. And I think
40:39we'll see this passing game. Like, you know, when you look at the numbers, you're like, it's looks fine. It looks It's not clunky. It looks fluid. But,
40:45not really when you're watching the game. Still feels like there's something a little bit off, and it's probably cuz of the lack of separation from the
40:50receivers. Uh Josh Palmer also dropped like a beautiful pass on a drive that should have kept things going. But, regardless, Keon Coleman filled in great
40:59for a while DJ Moore's been out. But, I do expect when DJ Moore's back for Keon Coleman to make to take a big
41:05um backseat. Dalton Kincaid seven for 38 in this one. Uh had a touchdown called back on a holding penalty. Unfortunately, would have had a much bigger game. He
41:14also ended up suffering a rib injury, but ended up coming back into the game.
41:17So, probably something a little bit uh more minor that he'll be able to take a shot for and play through. Um
41:24plus they get a bye. So, he should be fine after the bye. James Cook 150 from scrimmage, touchdown. He continues to be
41:29goated. Flip side, Kirk Cousins 313, two touchdowns. Trey Tucker takes advantage five for 97 and two touchdowns. Michael Mayer has a big game. Brock Bowers gets
41:37held relatively in check. Finishes four for 70. Um Christian Benford played phenomenal defense on Brock Bowers in this one.
41:44And, you know, we've kind of been saying that. Brock Bowers is good enough to just like dominate cornerback ones, but each team is going to end up cuz they
41:50got nothing else in the passing game.
41:52They're going to continue to put uh their number one cornerback in the face of Brock Bowers week in and week out.
41:57So, he's got, you know, a tough a tough like schedule not schedule, but week in and week out he's going to have a tough
42:04match-up because every team is going to throw their best opponent at Brock Bowers. So, he's clearly good enough to just continue to dominate. Backfield is
42:11a little bit spookier here. J'Teq does get in for a touchdown and does catch four passes, so he saves his fantasy
42:15day, but it looks terrible on the ground. Mike Washington is outplaying him on the ground. He's more efficient.
42:20I do think this is probably a little bit more of a split going forward, unfortunately. They play the Rams next week.
42:25So, not an easy uh opponent. You know, whether or not Tony's hurt, I don't know. They keep saying he's fine and
42:30they're not resting him. So, like you got to just put him out there as if he is playing at relatively full strength, but at this
42:37point he's kind of more of like a mid to low end RB2 than anything else in my rankings going forward. Obviously, Mike
42:42Washington needs to be owned everywhere.
42:46And then you got Sunday Night Football, the Green Bay Packers versus the Cowboys. You want to talk about a passing offense that just looks clunky.
42:51It's it's Dak and the Cowboys, man. I don't I don't really know what it is. Um something looks off here. I don't know
42:57if it's a ground game not getting going.
42:58Tony does get into the end zone again.
43:01Um Dak ends up with 258 passing yards, but on 54 attempts. Pickens six for 73, Lamb nine for 70. Just not a lot of good there. Uh they get the
43:12Philadelphia Eagles in Philly next week.
43:15Which, you know, just hasn't really been a tough match-up for anyone. You know, you look at the schedule preseason you're like, "Ah, you got to play at
43:21Philly. There there's a dud." But, realistically, um yeah, they get Philly, Arizona, Indy.
43:28So, kind of a nice slate of games here.
43:30They don't have their bye until week 14.
43:32Um Philly, I will say Quez Watkins plays Pickens pretty pretty heavily in those match-ups. So, could definitely see a huge CD Lamb game next week, especially
43:40playing from the slot. Dalton Kincaid has been struggling, so shout out Hunter Luepke, three catches.
43:45mowed four of them in Donder this week.
43:48Unbelievable. On the flip side, Jordan Love, Matthew Golden, and Christian Watson are just the funnest thing to watch in football this year. Against a
43:55bad passing defense, there is actually no funner trio than Love, Golden, and Watson.
44:01It's so fun to watch. Every play is just a banger. Um the way the first half started, you were like, "Oh my god, he's
44:07going to throw for 400. Both these guys are going to have 8,000 yards, but Golden continues to be one of the best
44:12picks in fantasy. Watson had a down game, three for 64. He [ __ ] He could have had a massive game, which he's, you
44:19know, he's had more often than not. He caught a ball over the middle for like 25 yards, got up and started
44:25running cuz he didn't think he was touched. And everyone just stopped playing, and then the ref blew the whistle, and then they looked at the replay, and
44:31he wasn't touched. So, he should have had, if he just kept running, a 75-yard touchdown. And then he had a bullet from
44:38Jordan Love into the end zone that it barely hit the fingertip of a defender in front of him, but then still ended up
44:43hitting Christian Watson in the hands in the end zone, and he dropped it. So, I mean, he easily could have been four for
44:50130 and two touchdowns, and had a monster, monster day. Just didn't happen, but yeah, the Packers get the Lions next week, and then the Panthers
44:58the week after that. So, you have two phenomenal passing matchups.
45:02But one of the bigger stories, of course, is Josh Jacobs is eligible to return next week, and I fully, fully, fully expect Josh Jacobs to
45:12go right into a workhorse role. I expect him to be the bellcow. I expect him to be the same role he's been over the last
45:19couple of years. Now, the offensive line will be the big issue.
45:24Um, the Detroit defensive line's good.
45:27Carolina's not, but New England and Minnesota is, and those are the two games after that before the bye. So, I expect Jacobs to to have a pretty tough
45:35time having efficiency on the ground, but like, I think he's going to be a 20-touch guy going forward. And this, again, is an offense that is scoring
45:43enough that I, you know, I feel good about having the RB1. So, if you've held on to Josh Jacobs, like, you feel good
45:48about it. Um, Tucker Kraft got banged up in this game. He ended up finishing it, so I don't think it's anything serious,
45:52but maybe something to keep an eye on for the practice report. Other Regardless, though, the the offense, obviously, just runs through Golden and
45:58Watson at this point.
46:02And I think that's all we have for week six.
