McConkey's second season was a disappointment, but the source files that as an excused absence—the offensive line fell apart early, play calling was stale and uninspired, and the target tree was especially crowded. The Chargers still boast a deep and dynamic target tree, and McConkey can absorb some of Keenan Allen's vacated targets. The hire of OC Mike McDaniel is a boost, and the source can't unsee what McConkey did in the second half of his rookie year when he looked like a superstar. His current ADP in the mid-40s looks like a gift.
