PositiveRoleOct 27, 2026FantasyPros Articles

Wilson caught 3 of 6 targets for 74 yards and a 12-yard opening touchdown, his second consecutive week opening Pittsburgh's scoring on the team's first touchdown drive. His production was heavily first-half (2 catches, 61 yards pre-half, including a 49-yard gain, vs. 1 catch for 13 yards after). Compared to Week 3 (6 targets, 3 rec, 60 yards, 1 TD—also an opening-drive score), his target volume held flat while yardage rose modestly, establishing a real, repeatable complementary role behind Metcalf. Per Next Gen Stats, Wilson's 1.9 yards per route leads the team (min. 50 routes) and his 24% target rate is elite. Despite playing a non-starter's snap share (31%, down slightly from Week 3), he ran fewer routes than Bernard while being targeted at a 33% clip, suggesting snap share could increase.

Colts WR; injured. Mentioned as context for Germie Bernard's targets. Community notes: Roman Wilson has been a non-factor historically (healthy scratched last year even when DK was suspended). One comment: 'Roman Wilson has been there 3 years and has never been a factor, they were healthy scratching him last year even after DK got suspended when they were forced to start MVS and the corpse of Adam Thielen off the street. Before he went on IR he had as many huge gaffes per game as he did receptions.'

Steelers WR is on injured reserve for at least three more weeks. Wilson plays slot but is best utilized as a vertical threat and was more rotational when healthy (routes spiked to 91% in Week 2 with Pittman out but fell to 51% and 40% in Weeks 3-4). His return may not significantly impact Germie Bernard's role given Bernard's superior ability after the catch and full-time usage.
