Aaron Jones

NegativeBust32:30

Shaky flex RB with inconsistent scoring despite favorable matchup. Continues to get starts but neither he nor Jordan Mason score touchdowns or catch enough passes. The source notes desperation is required to start either back despite Bills defense allowing fourth-most fantasy points to the position.

Insight page

Alvin Kamara

NegativeRole14:11

Saints backfield likely to be Kendrick Miller and Alvin Kamara split vs. Browns defense that was shredded by Jaylen Warren and Rico Dattle; the pairing is comparable to Warren-Dattle but 50 times better; both are semi-playable but belong in shaky flex category due to game-script volatility; first week without Etienne was Kamara-heavy, then Miller got 20 carries the next week; Week 9 game script suggests Saints stay in the game or lead, giving flexibility to either back.

Insight page

Austin Ekeler

NegativeProjection19:35

Vegas projects Ekeler at 59 total yards with a 3.5 reception line that feels inflated given his route volume and Jaden Daniels' infrequent checkdowns. BDGE Fantasy Football classifies him as shaky flex due to the poor LA matchup, despite solid volume; he ranks below Brilon Allen and would be a rather-not if the matchup were better.

Insight page

Blake Corum

NegativeProjection18:00

Rams RB in committee; plus 100 anytime TD odds (pure coin flip vs. Kyren Williams' minus-145); Dub Flex ranking; expected 10-12 carries; needs to be efficient and get goal-line work to score; good situation for goal-line opportunity; Rams 5.5-point favorites with 47.5-point total.

Insight page

Breece Hall

NegativeRole10:00

Returning from injury this week (if not traded); expected to be in a committee with Braelon Allen, who has played exceptionally well. Committee split will be tricky, especially against Kansas City Chiefs' above-average run defense. Ranked as shaky flex; confidence is limited even if he plays. Source prefers Braelon Allen over Hall in this matchup.

Insight page

Bucky Irving

PositiveProjection29:53

Must-start RB in Week 9 vs. Chicago Bears despite tough matchup. Chicago defense is significantly improved with Jeffrey Simmons and ranks third-fewest in fantasy points allowed to running backs. BDGE Fantasy Football describes Irving as 'playing out of his mind right now' and categorizes him as a must-start regardless of matchup difficulty.

Insight page

Chase Brown

PositiveMatchup5:14

Feels good rating in favorable matchup against Atlanta's weak run defense. Caught 8 passes last week vs. Tennessee and had touchdown pass called back on penalty that would have extended ceiling. Source emphasizes Atlanta's defense is fake good and running backs are eating them alive, citing strong performances from other backs last week. Brown has ceiling-game potential in this matchup.

Insight page

Chris Rodriguez

PositiveRole2:27

Jacksonville RB positioned as high-end RB2 if Tutin is ruled out; would amplify entire backfield usage and become a really high-end solid RB2 in that scenario. If Tutin is out, Rodriguez projects to receive heavy carry volume because Jacksonville's game script favors running backs early—the Jaguars put pedal to metal on bad teams via run game and won't be trailing and needing to throw the ball a ton. Fantasy value is directly contingent on Tutin's injury status.

Insight page

Chuba Hubbard

PositiveRole6:18

Bellcow running back for Carolina; source loves him in lineups against Denver. Despite Panthers' step back against better opponents, Hubbard has maintained workhorse role and is favored in this matchup.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

PositiveProjection30:31

Must-start RB projected to carry a massive workload in Week 9 vs. Tampa Bay with Commodus likely unavailable. Offense projected to score 24–27 points and be led by the running back group. Anytime touchdown line of -200 for Swift, indicating high touchdown probability. BDGE Fantasy Football emphasizes 'if you got Swift, you got Bucky, they're obviously in your lineup.'

Insight page

David Montgomery

NegativeInjury20:25

The Houston Texans do not appear optimistic about Montgomery returning after their bye week. BDGE Fantasy Football's read is that Montgomery is more likely to return in Week 10 than Week 9, though not guaranteed, affecting Woody Marks' volume ceiling.

Insight page

Derrick Henry

NegativeProjection3:24

Baltimore RB has struggled in games without Lamar Jackson this year; Vegas projects 76 total yards with anytime TD line at +130 (underdog to score). Source is not optimistic about this matchup despite Henry getting ton of touches due to backup QB situation. Primary concern is game script: Jacksonville is 10-point favorite and has tendency to run up score against weaker opponents; if Jaguars get up by 2-3 scores early, Henry could barely play in second half as Ravens pivot to pass-catching backs like Justice Hill. Ranked as dub flex with concerns; could be a sit for teams with stronger RB depth.

Insight page

Devin Singletary

NegativeRole16:06

Giants RB in two-man backfield with Cam Saquon; will get some work but limited; ranked as Shaky Flex.

Insight page

DJ Giddens

NegativeRole9:30

Likely to be involved in a pass-catching role in the Colts backfield alongside Jonathan Taylor and Seth McGawan.

Insight page

Elijah Mitchell

PositiveUsage17:00

Eagles RB splitting carries with Saquon Barkley; outnapped him 58% to 35% last week; operating as passing-down back; ranked as Shaky Flex; likely to continue elevated snap share despite being secondary option in committee.

Insight page

George Holani

NegativeUsage27:22

Third option in Seattle's three-way split backfield with Jadarian Price and Zack Charbanet. Snap distribution: Helani 10 (vs. Price 27, Charbanet 20). Carries: 1 (short down-and-distance). Routes: 6. Long down-and-distance: 5 snaps. Two-minute drill: 8 snaps. Source provides no specific projection or role assessment for Helani.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

NegativeUsage7:17

Very shaky flex play with limited snap count; played only one snap last week despite R.J. Harvey's IR status. Usage is game-script dependent—if Broncos get ahead (they're 2.5-point favorites), Denver will use running backs with heavy carries, but Dobbins' role remains unclear. Source: "JK Dobbins, he's going to be a very shaky flex. There is a world where the Broncos only two and a half point favorites, but there is a world where they get ahead and just use their running backs with a ton of carries here."

Insight page

Jadarian Price

PositiveProjection27:22

Returned from IR against Chicago on Monday Night Football in a three-way split backfield with Zack Charbanet (20 snaps, 6 carries) and George Helani (10 snaps, 1 carry). Price led with 27 snaps and 10 carries; routes: Price 16, Charbanet 10, Helani 6. Vegas projects Price at 12.5 carries and 1.5 receptions. Anytime touchdown line at +120. BDGE Fantasy Football's instinct is that Price should remain the lead back in Seattle's backfield; source prefers Price over Charbanet if forced to choose, citing Price's explosiveness and demonstrated passing-down usage.

Insight page

Jahmyr Gibbs

PositiveProjection11:36

Detroit is a 7-point favorite at Miami in a 50.5-point total game; Gibbs is a must-start for Week 9.

Insight page

James Cook

PositiveProjection31:37

Must-start RB in Week 9 vs. Minnesota despite tough matchup. Cleared concussion protocol after being stretched awkwardly late in previous game and is expected to play. Projected for 93 total yards with minus-25 anytime touchdown line. The source emphasizes matchup irrelevance: 'Doesn't really matter the matchup. James Cook's obviously in your lineup.'

Insight page

Javonte Williams

PositiveProjection7:55

Must-start rating with strong anytime touchdown odds of -240, indicating he is heavy favorite to score. Source: "Javvante Williams anytime touchdown of minus 240. So, he's going to go into the must-ar category. Great bet to score uh a touchdown."

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

PositiveRole6:32

Workhorse role with high floor and ceiling; inheriting R.J. Harvey's passing-down snaps after Harvey's IR placement. Source rates him feels good to borderline must-start against Panthers' weak run defense (7th in EPA per run allowed, 9th in fantasy points allowed). Coleman had strong game last week with touchdown, and expanded role will include Harvey's passing-down work, creating dual-threat value. Source: "Jonah Coleman's going to take a lot of the R.J. Harvey role where he's going to play on passing down snaps and that's going to lead to a very high floor and a high ceiling."

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

NegativeRole8:32

Trade uncertainty affects ranking; if he stays with Colts, projected to get a ton of carries and 65-70% of offensive snaps. Rankings will be live and updated on website if JT gets moved to reflect his new team.

Insight page

Jordan Mason

NegativeBust32:20

Shaky flex RB with inconsistent production and backfield uncertainty. Despite facing Bills defense allowing fourth-most fantasy points to RBs, Mason continues to get carries but neither he nor Aaron Jones score touchdowns or catch enough passes. The source expresses strong skepticism: 'They suck. He sucks. Everybody sucks in that backfield. They're all shaky flexes to me.' Requires desperation to start despite favorable matchup.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

PositiveProjection24:20

Must-start RB despite tough matchup against New England Patriots (fifth-fewest fantasy points allowed to RBs). Jacobs is heavily involved with all goal-line work and significant target volume in Raiders offense. Last week scored twice on just 40 rushing yards with 20+ touches. Anytime touchdown line at -130 reflects his elite scoring upside. BDGE Fantasy Football ranks him as must-start alongside similar workload backs.

Insight page

Justice Hill

NegativeRole3:56

Pass-catching backup who enters the field when Ravens are trailing or in passing situations. Source indicates Hill and similar pass-catching role players replace Derrick Henry when Jacksonville builds a lead, as Ravens shift to throwing game.

Insight page

Kenneth Gainwell

NegativeBust30:47

Shaky flex RB ranked near the bottom of that tier. BDGE Fantasy Football calls him the 'fakest good flex play ever' and notes he 'flakes out more often than not,' making him an unreliable fantasy option despite any surface-level appeal.

Insight page

Mike Washington Jr.

NegativeProjection21:55

Vegas projects Washington at 12.5 carries with 42.5 rushing yards line in a down matchup against San Francisco's elite run defense (fewest explosive runs allowed, second-least EPA per rush allowed). Anytime touchdown line at +170 is less secure than Gentry's +155. BDGE Fantasy Football ranks him in shaky flex category due to matchup headwinds, though notes he's likely the early-down ball carrier for the Raiders going forward; he had 25 touches last week with carries inside the 5-yard line but didn't convert them.

Insight page

Ollie Gordon II

PositiveProjection11:44

Vegas projects Gordon at 84 yards with +105 anytime TD odds; despite Lions' strong run defense (4th fewest fantasy points allowed), Gordon projects for 15+ touches with floor security; Lions injuries (Jack Campbell out, Brian Branch questionable) weaken Detroit's rush defense; upside exists for 3-5 targets in passing game if Lions get up early and Gordon plays heavy snaps. Has played great recently.

Insight page

RJ Harvey

NegativeInjury6:46

On IR; his absence creates expanded role opportunity for Jonah Coleman, who will inherit Harvey's passing-down snaps and increase his weekly floor and ceiling.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

PositiveMatchup16:42

Eagles RB with great matchup on paper against Giants defense that is worst in EPA per rush allowed and third-worst in success rate per rush allowed. However, dealing with injuries and can't finish games; deteriorated workload relative to expectation; splitting carries with Elijah Mitchell who outnapped him 58% to 35% last week. Ranked as Dub Flex; will almost definitely be in lineup; workload may improve as health improves.

Insight page

Seth McGowan

NegativeValue8:48

Dub flex play with volume concerns. While projected to get a ton of carries and lead the backfield touch share against Dallas, the Colts offense is not trustworthy overall. The matchup is what gets you excited, but the weak offensive context limits confidence; comparable to Woody Marks situation where high projected volume is attached to an offense you don't trust.

Insight page

Travis Etienne

NegativeInjury13:39

Etienne was placed on IR immediately with a grade-two strain, indicating a typical 4-6 week recovery timetable; he missed four games plus the bye week, putting Week 9 at approximately six weeks from injury—the upper end of the timeline; Saints claimed Audrey Estate off Broncos practice squad, suggesting hesitation about Etienne's readiness; status remains uncertain pending practice reports.

Insight page

Tyrone Tracy

NegativeInjury16:06

Giants RB on injured reserve; not playable.

Insight page

Woody Marks

NegativeProjection20:45

Classified as dub flex with Vegas projecting 77 total yards and very high volume projection, especially with Jalen Jordan on IR. However, BDGE Fantasy Football notes Marks does not produce efficiently—he gets goal line carries but doesn't convert them and lacks big-play ability, making the projection misleading despite volume.

0:00Good morning, friends and enemies. In today's video, we are going through every single game of the week nine NFL slates to rank fantasy football running
0:11backs. All right, they're going to be starts, there's going to be sits, there's going to be flex options, both shaky flex, but ones we feel good about.
0:17All right, and we do this every single week, every single Wednesday. So, subscribe to the channel if you are new here and you want this information. We
0:23go through snap counts, we go through injuries, we go through weather reports, we go through practice reports, all that good stuff. if we do the same thing for
0:29wide receivers tomorrow. But let's get into it today. So, we've got Thursday Night Football, Jacksonville at Baltimore. This is going to be a [ __ ]
0:38of a show because of the starting quarterback situation in Baltimore. And quickly, I try not to plug too many things in here, but we are starting a
0:46new YouTube channel for BDGE. So, just want to throw this out there if you guys are interested in uh BDG Offcenter. It's
0:51just us ripping sports cards open. We're going to rip packs. We're going to rip boxes. We're going to talk about what we
0:56see within the industry. I'm getting very much back into the hobby and it's been really, really, really, really, really fun for me. So, I'm going to use
1:02this YouTube channel as a bit of a diary as I dive back in and learn about the hobby because it's so confusing right
1:08now and I want to learn it and I want to share it with you and I want to have some fun and we're going to do a bunch
1:12of giveaways. We're going to rip a lot of boxes and hopefully have a lot of creative content that's like fantasy football intertwined with ripping packs.
1:19So, this is called BDG Offcenter. If you're interested in subscribing, of course, that would be awesome. if you happen to be in the hobby. We will link
1:26that down below in the show notes. But let's get back to Thursday Night Football. So, we've got Jacksonville traveling to Baltimore. This is a 39 and
1:34a half point total. Not expecting a game that's going to be fun to watch cuz we have Joey Faniano. I don't know how to
1:39say the first name, the last name, Joey Fagnano.
1:43you guys. You get the point. So, a few things to keep an eye on with practice reports here. Bashalt Tutin DNP
1:48both Monday and Tuesday with an ankle injury. It's a little bit hard to get a read on it. We haven't really heard
1:53much. uh about the injury. You know, they have had players that have kind of sat out practices throughout the week and then been fine to play like Jacobe
2:01Myers last week. It didn't seem like there was a specific play that Toutton really got hurt on or anything like serious with it. They also like
2:07dominated the game so didn't have to use him a ton down the stretch. Wednesday's practice report is obviously going to be
2:12huge. If he goes DMP all three days throughout the week, uh very high likelihood that he ends up missing the game. There hasn't been a ton of concern
2:18out of, you know, beat reporters for Jacksonville about Tuton's injury status, but like you know, fantasy, for all we know, by the time you guys watch
2:26this, he could be like placed on IR.
2:27That being said, obviously, if Tutin is out, this will be a huge spot for Chris Rodriguez, and Rodriguez would pretty much amplify the entire backfield and
2:35become like a really, really high-end solid RB2. For the Ravens, you know, the quarterback situation is going to be a mess. It obviously brings down the
2:43entire offense. There are two like bright spots if you want to look at it.
2:48Vega, their first round offensive lineman, got a full practice in on Tuesday, so he is returning. You have Ronnie Stanley full practice in. So,
2:55their offensive line will likely be at, you know, relative full strength. And Devon Hamilton, one of the best run stopping interior defensive tackles went
3:04on the IR he's done for the season for Jacksonville. And they're obviously an elite elite run defense. Derrick Henry has struggled in games without Lamar
3:11Jackson this year. Unsurprisingly, Vegas Lions have him at 76 total yards. This is the first time his anytime touchdown line is in the positives. He is an
3:20underdog to score a touchdown this week at plus 130. So, when I'm looking at Derrick Henry as someone who has him in
3:25my big money league, not optimistic about this game. Should get a ton of touches because of the backup quarterback, but we've seen that happen,
3:32you know, in a handful of games where it's amounted to like five or six fantasy points. And what concerns me most about this matchup in particular,
3:40obviously the matchup itself, like on paper is very difficult versus the Jacksonville defense, is Jacksonville has been a team that runs up the score
3:47against weaker opponents. They will dominate their opponents very, very, very, very quickly. And the Ravens have shown that once they get down in games,
3:56it is there's no Derrick Henry on the field. It is all Justice Hill. It is all these guys that are more like pass
4:02catching role type of players. So, if Jacksonville gets up quickly, if they get up by two or three scores, which is
4:08totally not unreasonable considering they're 10-point favorites in this one, there is absolutely a world where Derrick Henry like barely plays in the
4:14second half. So, like listen, you have Derrick Henry, you're throwing him into your lineup, of course, but like he's a dub flex for me. He's not a feels good.
4:21I don't feel great about him. You know, if you somehow have amazing running backs on the roster, like he could definitely be a sit for you. On the flip
4:27side, all going to come down to the status of Tuton. If Toutin is active, he's obviously going to be a mustar for
4:32you. He's been phenomenal in games where he scores a touchdown. His ceiling goes nuclear like we saw last week. If Tuton
4:37is out for this game, I'm putting Chris Rodriguez in the feels good category.
4:40I'm sure there will be some other secondary running back involved like Laquent Allen, Amir Abdullah. Those guys typically see the field when they're in
4:47passing situations, which again I, you know, the Jaguars, they put the pedal to the metal on these bad teams early and
4:54they do it via their running backs. So again, like I it's going to be Chris Rodriguez getting a ton of carries
4:59because they're not going to be trailing and needing to throw the ball a ton.
5:02Next up, we've got the international game in Madrid. Cincinnati playing against the Atlanta Falcons. A 52 1/2 point total. Feel like we don't really
5:11get super high-scoring international games. They usually end up being clunky and disappointing, but the NFL and Vegas are expecting a banger here. This is a
5:21three-point game in favor of the Cincinnati Bengals. I already said 52 and a half point total. Atlanta's obviously struggled, but we don't think
5:27about Bejian Robinson here. Chase Brown, the other one, you know, obviously not coming through in the way that you wanted to if you drafted him in fantasy,
5:34but this is a good matchup. Atlanta's always had a fake good defense this year, and you're starting to see the numbers kind of come back down to earth
5:39where running backs can eat them up, eat them alive. We saw Bucky and Kenneth Gwell go crazy on them last week. Chase
5:45Brown also caught eight passes last week in their game versus Tennessee and could have had a much bigger day. He had a
5:50touchdown pass called back on a penalty and that would have allowed him to hit a really big ceiling game here. So, I
5:58still feel great about Chase Brown in this particular matchup. We'll throw him into the feels good category. Obviously, we're rather nodding per Brian Robinson
6:05has not played in a few weeks. Next up, we've got Denver at Carolina here.
6:10Carolina 2 and a half point underdogs, 43 and a half point total. Relatively tough match up against Denver. As you could see, however, though, they are
6:18seventh in EPA per run allowed to opponents, ninth most fantasy points allowed to the position, and eighth most explosive plays. The Panthers offense
6:25has obviously taken a bit of a step back against better opponents over the previous weeks, but Chuba Hubard has operated as a bellcow. So, we love him
6:32in our lineups. The other side of the coin, uh, a little bit more interesting because we had the Jonah Coleman game
6:37last week. He had a really nice game and more importantly, the second half of the game, JK Dobbins played on one singular
6:43snap. Now, R.J. Harvey is obviously on IR. So, it'll be Jonah Coleman and it'll be JK Dobbins for the next few weeks. I
6:50expect Jonah Coleman to continue to eat as the workhorse here. Though, I wouldn't be surprised if we still see some sort of like fluctuation in how
6:58separate the snap counts are. Jonah Coleman's role is going to be significantly more valuable. Obviously, we already saw saw him score a touchdown
7:04within the 5 yard line. Though, I don't know that that's super predictive. Like, it wouldn't surprise me whatsoever if they got inside the five and it was JK
7:10Dobbins on the field. But where Jonah Coleman's going to shine is the fact that he's going to take a lot of the
7:14R.J. Harvey role where he's going to play on passing down snaps and that's going to lead to a very high floor and a
7:20high ceiling for uh Jonah Coleman on a weekly basis. So I think he belongs in the feels good category. And honestly
7:26all these guys if Rodriguez is there without two in Chase Brown feels really good. Jonah Coleman against the Panthers like incredible matchup here. I I think
7:32you can argue that they're you know borderline in the mustart category. you know, don't don't take this as like I I
7:38don't think they're mustart guys, but I feel really really good. And then JK Dobbins, he's going to be a very shaky
7:44flex. There is a world where the Broncos only two and a half point favorites, but there is a world where they get ahead
7:48and just use their running backs with a ton of carries here. Next up, we got Dallas at the Indianapolis Colts. This
7:55is a 51 12 point total despite the Colts offense not being able to produce points here. Javvante Williams anytime touchdown of minus 240. So, he's going
8:05to go into the must-ar category. Great bet to score uh a touchdown. They're only six-point favorites because, you know, their defense obviously sucks,
8:12too, and that's why they overunders high because both the Colts and Dallas's defense are uh really, really, really bad right now. But, this is one of those
8:18games where he could easily score two touchdowns, even three touchdowns if things break right. And, you know, he just gets a couple lucky goal line
8:25carries uh against the Colts. Obviously, they have no more DeForest Buckner there, so they should be able to run over them uh without a problem. Imagine
8:32this is going to be a Javvante game. On the other side, I can't really say anything right now because we haven't
8:37had any trade solidifications on Jonathan Taylor right now. So, of course, you know, I will do my rankings.
8:42They will be live by the time you guys see this on our website. So, if JT gets moved, of course, my uh rankings will
8:48reflect that on his new team. Same with Seth McGawan. JT going to get a ton of carries playing against the Dallas
8:54defense. Like, they're probably going to to use him on like 65 to 70% of their offensive snaps. So, obviously, he's in
9:01your lineup. If he gets moved, we'll have to see where he goes. But Seth McGawan ends up being a dub flex play. I
9:06don't have confidence in this offense overall. And that's like going to be the problem with the Seth McGawan is going to be like a maybe like a Woody Marks
9:11where it's like, you know, you're projecting him to get a lot of volume.
9:15You're projecting him to take the line share of touches and carries in the back field, but it's attached to like a run
9:20game, a ground game, or an offense that we don't really trust right now. So, the matchup is what obviously gets you
9:26excited here against Dallas. But like, let's say the Colts were playing against Jacksonville and Jonathan Taylor got traded. I would not be starting a guy
9:32like Seth McGawan regardless of what the projected role is going to be. There will probably be some other guys involved like a DJ Giddens in some sort
9:38of like passcatching role too. But for now, you know, we'll just kind of uh proceed as if we don't know what the
9:43hell's happening. Next up, we got the New York Jets at the Kansas City Chiefs.
9:47They are in KC and Arrowhead. The Chiefs are 9 and a half point favorites. 47 and a half point total here. Weather is good
9:54across the board. K9 is obviously in the mustart category. The other side of the ball gets a little bit tricky here with
10:00Bree Hall. It sounds like he's going to be returning this week if he does not get traded. Brilon Allen's obviously played out of his mind, which you know,
10:08you you would have to expect that means there's going to be a committee when he comes back. One, because Bruce Hall is,
10:15you know, going to be ramping back up from injury. too because Brilon Allen has just played so so so well and their
10:19offense has kind of run through him which makes both of them very very tricky especially given the fact that they are playing against the Kansas City
10:25Chiefs which is a very very you know above average very good run defense. So I think with Bree Hall's return you know
10:33I'm sure one of them will end up having a good game. I will say like I probably feel a little bit more confident with
10:39just the way the tide is going right now starting Brillon Allen over Breeze Hall.
10:44But in this matchup, if I have both of them on my team, I can't say I feel super confident in either of them. So, I
10:50actually think I would put them both as shaky flexes. Obviously, I'd start like a Brillin Allen over like a JK Dobbins
10:56or something like that. And probably Bree, too. But, this is one that we're going to have to keep a close eye on the
11:00practice reports, assuming that Bree is actually going to play this week. If he doesn't play, of course, Brillon Allen goes into like the feels good category.
11:07Probably don't put him into the mustar category because this won't be a game where like the Jets can kind of impose
11:12the running back. uh touch count here.
11:14We saw it against the Raiders. We've seen it against a bunch of weak defenses like Miami, etc. where they allow Brayon
11:20Allen to get those like 20 25 touches.
11:22Uh this will not be one of those games.
11:24The game script will work poorly towards Brilon Allen if he is the workhorse, but obviously the touches make you feel uh
11:30good about him regardless. Next up, we got Detroit at Miami. This is a 50 and a half point total. They're down in Miami.
11:36No weather concerns as of right now.
11:38Detroit 7point favorites here. Gibbs, of course, is a must start. On the other side of the ball, we've got Olli Gordon,
11:44who's played great. Vegas has his total at 84 yards, plus 105 anytime touchdown.
11:49I feel good about Ali Gordon. It is a tough matchup. The Lions have allowed the fourth fewest fantasy points per game, and they're pretty orange across
11:56the board in terms of EPA and success rate allowed to opposing running backs.
12:00However, we do have a bunch of injuries on the team. Obviously, Jack Campbell is going to miss this game. They're all pro
12:05linebacker, which is going to be a big hit to their rush defense. The interior of their defensive line is still very
12:10good. uh might be without Brian Branch.
12:12So, downgrade for the defense. Overall, you kind of know what you're getting out of Olli Gordon in terms of a floor. You
12:17know, 15 plus touches, probably even light on that projection count there. If he scores a touchdown, he's going to have a really nice day for you. I also
12:25think there's a chance where he just plays so many snaps and because the Lions probably get up in this one, he
12:29just kind of backs his way into three, four, five targets and like three, four, five receptions as well. So he could eat
12:36a little bit in the passing game just based on game script and being on the field for this one. So you know Ali
12:41Gordon's been good enough that you just throw him into your lineup as your RB2 and feel good about it. Next up,
12:45Cleveland at the New Orleans Saints.
12:48This is a 42 and a half point total.
12:49They're playing in New Orleans. They're playing in the dome. The Saints are three-point favorites coming back after their by-week. So last week we saw the
12:58Browns get whooped by the Steelers. The week before that, Judkins had a good game. This is just completely dependent on game script. Dylan Samson outs
13:05snapped Quinton Judkins by a pretty heavy margin last week. Like it is a very clear divide of Samson plays in trailing game scripts in on passing
13:13downs in the two-minute in the four-minute drill. This is obviously a game where you could expect them to have a good matchup against the Saints,
13:19right? Like you see a ton of green across the board, most fantasy points allowed to the position, second most EPA per rush allowed, first in success rate
13:26allowed to runners. So on paper, you know, the game should be close enough where Judkins gets a ton of work. plus
13:32105 for an anytime touchdown. I feel pretty good about Judkins. Samson will be a shaky flex if that. The other side
13:40of the ball, the Saints are coming off of their buy and we still need a ton of updates on their injury statuses uh
13:46coming off of the buy because they have a possible return from Travis ETN, a possible return from Kelvin Banks, a possible return for Jordan Tyson. And
13:54obviously that would mean that their offense is at full strength, which like I don't really know what that means, but they have a lot of really really
14:00highlevel playmakers if they are at full strength. We obviously don't have any practice reports for those three, but I will say like reading the tea leaves,
14:07I'm probably leaning more pessimistic than optimistic on almost all three of them. Jordan Tyson obviously hasn't gotten back on the practice field in
14:15this entire year. Kelvin Banks, it seems like he's still a week or two away.
14:19Travis ETN was placed on IR immediately, which basically tells you it was a grade two strain, which is typically a four to
14:25six week timetable to return. He had the four weeks of missing games, and then they had the by-week. So, this would be
14:31week six. However, they just did claim Audrey Estate off of the Broncos practice squad as they released their kicker, which could be something, could
14:39be nothing, could be doing that in casen is not ready. We'll just have to see how the practice reports kind of play out.
14:44But that does probably leave a little bit of hesitation there because you're not going to have Estimate on your active team if ETN is good to go because
14:51I don't think they they carry five running backs because they already have Kamar, Kendrick Miller, TJ Donaldson, and then it' be Estimate. So it'll be
14:57Estay or ETN. But the signing of it at least puts a little bit of pause between ETN's return. So, I think for now, until
15:04we see something different, I would project as if this is going to be a Kendra Miller and Alvin Kamar backfield against the Browns defense that just got
15:12shredded by both Jaylen Warren and Rico Dattle, which is obviously it's almost like a similar pairing of Kamar and Kendry Miller, just 50 times better. So,
15:19I I think both guys are like semiplayable, but obviously belong in the Shaky Flex category by a pretty wide margin cuz we've seen them flip-flop
15:26games. In the first week without ETN, it was like a Kamara day and then Kendra Miller the next day got 20 carries. This
15:32is a game script where, you know, they are probably going to be at least in the game, if not leading for a majority of
15:37it. So, I think they can kind of do whatever they want. So, it might be more of a Kendrick Miller day, but like
15:41you're definitely just, you know, gambling, rolling the dice a little bit with either of these guys. Next up, we've got the New York Giants at the
15:46Philadelphia Eagles. Uh they're in Philly, 39 12 point total. The Giants are three and a half point favorites here. A little bit tough to get a read
15:54on the Giants backfield right now as Cam Scatabo is apparently working through a little bit of a hamstring tweak. So obviously important to keep a an eye on
16:01the practice reports for him. He had a uh a big game last week after, you know, being put in the doghouse the week
16:06prior. More importantly, of course, they they cut Naji a while back and then Tyrone Tracy went on the IR. So it is
16:12just pretty much a two-man backfield between Cam and Devin Singleary. And this is just a nice runout as the Eagles defense is awful this year. Highest EPA
16:21per rush allowed, third highest success rate per rush allowed to opponent running backs. So assuming Cam plays, I honestly feel pretty good about him. I
16:30think I would play him. He's somewhere in the feels good to W flex range, like on the borderline of this, you know,
16:35again, assuming he practices, assuming he plays, assuming the Giants obvious obviously don't trade for like Jonathan Taylor or anything like that. So I
16:42actually feel pretty good because the offense and the running back room has finally like condensed itself to two guys instead of [ __ ] four or five
16:50dudes getting carries every single game there. So Scat I feel pretty good about Saquon like should have a great matchup on paper. Obviously he's dealing with
16:57injuries there. He like can't finish games. He's obviously getting a very deteriorated workload relative to what he should be getting. Maybe as the weeks
17:06progress he's going to get healthier and healthier and the workload continues to rise up. Uh it's him and Elijah Mitchell back there splitting carries. He did
17:13score a touchdown last week against a really really poor Washington run defense that lost both Javon Kinlaw and Don Payne for the season. But in this
17:20game, Elijah Mitchell outnapped him 58% to like 35%. Um, you know, they were trailing a lot and Elijah Mitchell was operating as like the passing down back.
17:31Uh, but I think that's probably going to be the case. So, you know, until we feel confident that Saquon's actually like
17:36fully healthy, which it feels pretty clear that he's not, you can't rank him very very highly, you know, he'll almost definitely be in your lineup and the
17:43matchup is good. So, if he is going to get progressively more and more healthy as the weeks go by, assuming he doesn't
17:48suffer like setbacks here, which you don't really know, he's going to be in the dub flex category and he will be in
17:52your lineup. Tyrone Tracy, we going to hide him. Elijah Mitchell is going to be a shaky flex. Devin Singleary, uh, he'll
17:59probably get some work here. I guess they'll throw him in the shaky flex.
18:03Whatever. Next up, we got the Rams at the Washington Commander. Speaking of, as I said, the Washington Commanders will be without two of their top
18:09defensive interior linemen, Don Payne and Javon Kinlaw. So, I'd expect the Rams to probably carry the ball 35 to 40 times in this game. We've seen that
18:17become their identity over the last few weeks as Damonte Adams is out. Terrence Ferguson maybe could be slowly making his return here. So, they kind of might
18:25have a another wide receiver guy in their uh in their arsenal here, but overall it's going to be the ground game
18:31to the highest degree. You've got Kairen Williams minus 145 anytime touchdown.
18:35Blake Cororm plus 100. You've got Kairen Williams minus 145 anytime touchdown.
18:40Blake Cororm just a pure coin flip at plus 100. So Kairen's going to be a mustar for me. Blake Cororm, they're
18:46five and a half point favorites. It's a 47 and a half point total. So I'm not gonna say Blake Cororm feels good, but I
18:51am definitely throwing him into the dub flex category. You could definitely start him knowing that you're going to get, you know, 10 to 12 carries. He
18:57obviously has to continue to be really efficient on his carries and hopefully get the goal line work or get a goal
19:01line carrier or two cuz if he doesn't get that, he's probably not getting there for you. But this is a good
19:05situation to make that happen. On the flip side, uh Rashad White continues to operate as, you know, the starting kind of like workhorse in Washington with JCM
19:15still on the IR. Jeremy McNichols now joins him on the IR. So, it will be a two-man show between Rashad White and
19:21Austin Eckler. Obviously, not a good matchup here in LA, though LA is pretty banged up on the defensive line without Kobe Turner, without a couple other
19:28guys, Puna Ford, etc. Maybe Miles Garrett uh returns in this one. Vegas has him at 59 total yards. his reception line at three and a half feels pretty
19:36high considering Austin Eckler is running a decent amount of routes and Jaden Daniels doesn't necessarily check down often. So to me he's like, you
19:43know, he's somewhere at the bottom of the dub flex in the shaky flex category because of the matchup. If it was a good
19:49matchup otherwise I'd definitely put him into the dub flex category. He's scoring some touchdown. He's getting a lot of work. I'd probably put him underneath
19:54like a Brilon Allen. So this is I I think where he's going to fall for me.
19:58And then Eckler's a rather not. Moving into the four o'clock slate of games, we've got Houston at the LA Chargers.
20:04They're in the dome, 40 and a half point total. Uh the Houston Texans are four and a half point favorites coming out of
20:10their buy. Let's just start with the Chargers. Martin Hampton is I mean it it's bad, man. It's as bad as it gets.
20:16He actually finished third in terms of snaps last week. So, I am putting every Charger just in the rather not category
20:25immediately. For the Houston Texans, it doesn't seem like they're overly optimistic about David Montgomery returning after their buy. My read is
20:33that he's more likely to return in week 10 than in week nine, though not a given. So, if that's the case, and I
20:38think I'm expecting that to be the case, Woody Marks for me is going to be a dub flex. I know his numbers are going to
20:43look good. Total yards 77. His projection is going to be very, very high, especially with Jaw Jordan on the IR as well. He just does not [ __ ]
20:50produce. He just doesn't get it done when he's on the field. And of course, you know, one of these games could be
20:54the game that he gets into the end zone.
20:55He does get goal line carries. He just doesn't convert them. He doesn't make a lot of big plays. So, it's ugly, but the
21:00projection for volume is pretty damn high, especially if David Montgomery is out again. But, I'd rather start guys that I know are actually good like Jonah
21:08Coleman and Chase Brown, etc. Next up, we got the Raiders at the San Francisco 49ers here. 52 1/2 point total. Spread
21:15is 10 points. CMAC, of course, going into the mustart category. The Raiders backfield is pretty confusing here. And Vegas has the rushing attempts split up
21:2412 and a half towards Mike Washington and 8 and a half towards Ashen Genty, which I definitely definitely uh agree with the split in favor of Mike
21:33Washington at this point. To me, it it's clear that Kubak wants to use Mike Washington as the early down runner. He
21:39feels like he provides probably more stability down to down and more explosive upside here. And yes, Genty might be dealing with the injury and
21:46yes, his comments about the Jets last week might have put him in the doghouse.
21:50I also like I'm not going to read too far into that because he still played a ton and he still caught a ton of passes.
21:55So if you're in the doghouse, you're not really playing like it's like oh putting you in the doghouse situationally. Weird coaching tactic if that's the case. So I
22:03actually just think that they kind of showed their cards last week and Mike Washington had what 25 touches last week. Had a bunch of carries inside the
22:0910, inside the five. Didn't convert them, but would have had a much bigger game. Gent is going to be the pure
22:13passing down back. Now this kind of favors Genty here. Uh, one because the San Francisco 49ers defense could be getting Nick Bosa back after their buy.
22:22They just traded for DeForest Buckner, which is a massive upgrade to the interior of their offensive line. They already allowed the single fewest
22:29explosive runs to opponents and the second least EPA per rush allowed to opponents. And then again, you look at the spread of a 10-point favor in terms
22:37of the Ners. Overall though, I you know, I'm confident enough in the Raiders offense uh and the scheme that Clint Kubak has and how Kirk Cousins is
22:44playing that I don't think they're going to put up a complete dud on the offensive side of the ball. So, I don't
22:48want to read too much into that, but could totally see this being a down game for Mike Washington here. 12 and a half
22:53carries, but his projected rushing yards line is 42 and a half. And Genty will play almost all the passing down role
22:59here. You can see Genty at 4 and a half receptions, 33 and a half receiving yards. He's obviously going to get a
23:04major boost in PPR leagues. His anytime touchdown line is more secure than Mike Washington's. It's still at plus 155.
23:10So, it's not a great odds line there.
23:11And Mike Washington's at plus 170. So, I think Genty will get more carries than he got last week. He's going to be very
23:17involved in the passing game. His touchdown line is higher. So, I'm going to put him I'm going to put Genty above
23:22Mike Washington and I'm going to put him into the bottom of the dub flex category. You know, around I don't know
23:27the Saquons, the Blake Horms, probably around the same uh workload. And then Mike Washington because of the matchup is going to go towards the shaky flex
23:33category. though, I do really think that Mike Washington is probably going to be like the early down ball carrier for the
23:38Raiders, at least in the foreseeable future. Next up, we've got the Green Bay Packers at the New England Patriots. 46 12 point total here. The Patriots,
23:47they're in Foxboro. They are three-point favorites, so it's pretty much a uh pick them on a neutral site. Raandre coming off of a 22 touch game. They will likely
23:56have Trayvon Henderson back here. He missed last week with an illness, which is pretty pretty rare, though. It's not like Trayvon Henderson is obviously like
24:04taking a ton of work, but anytime you siphon off like 20 to 25% of the snaps, it does obviously hurt your ceiling,
24:09hurts your floor a little bit. Packers defense, their pass defense has been underratedly phenomenal this year.
24:14They're a little bit more of a runfunnel defense as you can see. Overall, Raandre is still the dude in that back field. Uh
24:20I'm throwing him into the dub flex category. Josh Jacobs for me like tough match up against the New England Patriots. Fifth fewest fantasy points
24:26allowed to the position, but Josh Jacobs is just so involved. He gets all the goal line work. He gets a ton of targets
24:32in this offense. We saw last week even in a game where he ran for like 40 yards. He scores twice. He gets 20 plus
24:38touches. To me, he's a must start. And I guess he's similar to like the Jonah Colemans, Chris Rodriguez, Chase Browns.
24:43Like I I probably expect similar workloads. He does an anytime touchdown line of minus 130 whereas the other guys are plus 100, plus 100. Chase Brown is -
24:51160, but like that they just keep putting him at that and he never scores.
24:54That's just Vegas's way of continuing to be like double or nothing, double or nothing, double or nothing. So all these guys obviously should be in your
25:00lineups. if you have him on your fantasy team. For the other Patriots running backs, obviously, you know, uh if Trayvon returns, then you know, he's a
25:07rather not. Cory Connor is now in a three-split backfield and he's a rather not, too. Arizona at Seattle. This is probably one of the trickier backfield
25:14matchups to just discuss in general. We will start on the Arizona side of things. Jeremiah Love placed on IR with a new high ankle sprain, so he's out.
25:23Zonovan Knight, who was in a split backfield with Tyler Alier, is in concussion protocol. So 50/50 chance on whether or not he ends up clearing
25:31again. More often than not though, we've seen a lot of players clear the concussion protocol in less than a week this year. More often than not, you're
25:37going to miss one game when you are in the concussion protocol, which would leave Tyler Algier as the bellcow. Last week, he popped off for almost 200 total
25:44yards from scrimmage, was catching passes, was explosive, was breaking away on runs. Now they play the Seattle backfield, which is obviously a
25:52nightmare matchup. Now, their numbers don't look as good because they just allowed three touchdowns to DeAndre Swift, but that was pretty red and
25:58bottom of the barrel across the board uh on a weekly basis. So, this is by no means even close to an average or good
26:04matchup for Tyler Algier. And that's going to be my concern assuming that Zonovan Knight does not clear. This would leave Alier as someone projected
26:13to get a ton of touches. His anytime touchdown line is plus 165. I along with Vegas are I'm I'm not optimistic.
26:22Listen, we weren't born yesterday. We know what Tyler Aier typically does in a given game, and it's not what we saw on
26:27paper last week. That was against the Dallas Cowboys defense. You couldn't find a night and day difference uh that has a bigger gap than the Cowboys
26:36defense to the Seattle defense this week. So, with Algier, he's going to go into the dub flex category for me. And
26:41for the most part, if you have him, you're almost definitely starting him because of what his projected touch count is going to be. But, they've
26:47always wanted to use some sort of committee. No matter how many players are injured, no matter how many things happen to this specific guy, they always
26:53seem to have like here's the early down guy, here's the passcatching guy. Now, maybe that's not the case. If Zonovan Knight is ruled out, Zonovan Knight's in
26:59this game, that makes me even more hesitant to put Tyler Aier in my lineup because despite last week's performance, again, we've seen this happen so many
27:05times where a Cardinal running back has a good game and then next week it's just kind of flipped on its head. Or the next
27:10week it's just a 50-50 split and this guy's in the passing down role, etc.
27:14It's just a very, very, very volatile situation against a very, very good run defense. So, I'm not getting over my skis with Tyler Algier despite last
27:22week's game. For the Seahawks, we saw Jadarian Price return from IR against the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football. We saw Zack Charbanet uh his
27:30first action of the NFL season on Monday Night Football. It was a three-way split backfield between Price, Charbanet, and George Hani. The breakdown in terms of
27:40snaps and stuff is as follows. Jadarian Price 27 snaps. Zack Charbanet 20.
27:46George Helani 10. Price 10 carries, Charbanet six. Routes 16 for Price, 10 for Sharp, six for George Hani. George Hani got one carry. Short down and
27:56distance, Price and Charb split at 1 to1. They had no rushing attempts inside the 5yd line. Long down and distance, five for Sharp, five for Helani, two for
28:05Price. The two-minute drill snaps, eight for Price, eight for George Hani, zero for Sharp. So, a complete tossup on what's going to happen. My instinct is
28:14that they still want Jadarian Price to be the guy there. That being said, Charb is going to continually work into a
28:21bigger role. Like there was no way that they were going to allow him to lead the backfield. He also is just not a very
28:26good running back. He's not explosive.
28:28He's not going to add juice to their backfield. So even when fully healthy, it's not like I feel like they have a
28:33ton of upside for this week in particular. The way I'm looking at the backfield is they are huge favorites, right? Gardner Mchu's under center. They
28:41have a lot of offensive injury problems on the offensive line to their wide receivers now on defense as well. The Seahawks are 12 and a half point
28:49favorites in a 41 and a half point total. It's another thing working against Tyler Algier where it's just like they Vegas has them projected to
28:55score like 14 13 and a half points this week. It's it's not going to be a pretty game for them because of that type of
29:00spread. You know, the Seahawks so badly want to get the run game going and I wouldn't be surprised even if they're
29:05not efficient. They just forced so much work to these guys in the back field.
29:09Now Sharp does have a better anytime touchdown line. Coin flip at plus 100 and Jarian Price is at plus 120. But
29:17anybody's guess as to how that shakes out. Their their lines overall. This is just Vegas kind of throwing their hands up and was like I I don't really know
29:23what to make of it. Jarian Price 12 and a half carries. Sharp 11 and a half receptions both at one and a half
29:29yardage very very close to each other.
29:31So if I have both of them, I'm going to play Price over Char for sure. He's more explosive. I think they're showing that
29:37they want to play him in some passing down situations. Sharb is going to take a minute to ramp up. So Sharp would be a
29:42shaky flex. He could definitely get a goal line carrier or two and get into the end zone and ends up scoring you
29:46like, you know, 13 or 14 points just based off of that. But it's still just so unknown that it's a little bit
29:51difficult to project at the moments.
29:53Next up, we've got Tampa Bay at the Chicago Bears. Uh Bucky Irving is playing out of his mind right now.
29:59Obviously, the Chicago Bears defense is going to be significantly improved with Jeffrey Simmons under center. That was one of the problems with the Seattle
30:07Seahawks running backs last week. They could get nothing going because the Chicago Bears defense just looks significantly better against the run.
30:13Now that Jeffrey Simmons is in there, third fewest fantasy points allowed to the position. Both of these defenses are very very uh you know, they're hitting
30:19at the right time right now. Tampa Bay's defense has been elite versus the run this year. So tough matchup on both
30:24sides. That being said, they're both must starts obviously. Uh it does seem like common guy is not a shoein to return this week. I I would say I'm
30:31almost more pessimistic that he returns than I am optimistic, which means DeAndre Swift is once again going to carry a massive workload in an offense
30:39that is projected to probably score 24 27 points and be led by their running back group. Uh anytime touchdown line of
30:47minus 200 for DeAndre Swift. So if you got Swift, you got Bucky, they're obviously in your lineup. Kenneth Gainwell, yeah, fakest good flex play
30:54ever. He's going to go into the shaky flex and nor near the bottom of it. More often than not, he flakes out. Moving to
31:00Buffalo at Minnesota. This is the Monday night football game here. We have a 45 and a half point total. The spread is
31:07three and a half in favor of Buffalo despite being in Minnesota. They are in the dome, which you love for Josh Allen,
31:12but the Minnesota defense is obviously uh elite in every sense of the word.
31:17James Cook got banged up at the end of the game. I don't expect him to miss any time here. He got stretched awkwardly.
31:22He got checked for a concussion, but he cleared, came back into the game. They were up by so much that he didn't really
31:26have to finish the game. Obviously, James Cook, tough tough tough tough matchup, of course, but still projected for 93 total yards, minus25 for an
31:34anytime touchdown. Doesn't really matter the matchup. James Cook's obviously in your lineup. On the flip side of things, you know, you guys keep telling me that
31:40Jordan Mason's going to take over this backfield. Jordan Mason's the guy. They can't wait to get him going. They suck.
31:46He sucks. Everybody sucks in that back field. They're all shaky flexes to me.
31:50Aaron Jones, Jordan Mason. like you got to be pretty desperate to start them despite playing against the Bills defense who have allowed the fourth most
31:57fantasy points to the running back position. Aaron Jones continues to get the starts. Jordan Mason continues to get the carries. Neither of them score
32:05touchdowns. Neither of them catch enough passes. Kyler Murray [ __ ] stinks.
32:08They can't sustain offensive drives.
32:09They need to go to Carson Wentz in order to get something of uh consistency in this passing offense in my opinion.
32:16They're shaky flexes to me. Would rather not have either of them in my lineup.
32:20And that is going to wrap up the week nine running back preview episode.
32:24Again, tomorrow we will be doing this for wide receivers. We'll go into poster mode. You guys can take a look at this
32:30from a larger perspective here. Nope, that's too small. We have 13 must starts. And to be honest with you, a few
32:36of these feels good. Should probably be in the mustart category, but five of them there. We got 10 dub flexes, 14
32:41shaky flexes, and seven rather knots. As always, the rankings will be updated in real time as news breaks throughout the week and injury reports and practice
32:49reports come out. So, if you are a fantasy member on bdgeg.co, you will get all of these numbers here for you that you can just nicely neatly
32:58look at and help you make the best start hit decisions for yourself. Uh, and again, you know, if you are into the
